Like she's always been seen as the more responsible one but this makes her so third dimensional and I love it!! Amity and vee are just like "you are not going out in public like that" but willow and Gus are all here for it, and oop is that some huntlow I see 🤨🤭 this gives friend group vibes, and Wich they are but it's not always shown like this. it's great to see them being actual teenagers.

I love amity I swear!!!!!But you can't deny it's funny when she falls. 😂

This little montage is just cute, also you can't blame amity here she used to work at a library, she usually knows what she's doing and is a natural in scenarios like this but human library's are things she's not so used to.

It's funny how they're all terrified of going to see the giraffes, it's also sweet to see all of them remembering they're families when seeing a dad with his family in the distance it's something they all(except vee) relate to. Gus and his dad willow and her dads and then of course amity with her dad and siblings, And any/all moments like that hit my heart ❤️

Rewatching Clone Wars and Rebels and I just gotta say it. Star Wars peaked with those shows. I love them so much

#the clone wars was so unique cuz it was focused on main characters #but it also had 4 episode arcs with different characters #like you weren’t always with the same characters #and the character arcs were SO good man #and it wasn’t scared to touch on the horrors of war and the complications of politics #and it individualized the clones in such a wonderful ways #and traumatized me so much with the amount of on screen deaths #10/10 show I love it so much #and then Rebels only really focuses on the small group of characters #but my gosh the dynamics are just so fun #idk what happened but the soul got sucked out of Star Wars #I will forever be a Disney Star Wars hater #idk if rebels is Disney Star Wars #but I suppose it was at a time when Disney was making actual good stuff #regardless the modern Star Wars is awful #I watched the first two episodes of Ahsoka and I’m not impressed #I’m going in with high standards cuz the low standards are giving people too much credit #but yeah #that show def should’ve been animated man #these live action actors can’t show an ounce of emotion #like ever #what is wrong with these people #sorry I need to calm down I’m so salty about what happened to Star Wars lol #anyways clone wars and rebels are amazing #they have their flaws but they’re so good in their own ways with delightful characters #smiles rambles

#wren rambles #doctor who #this brought on by me watching orphan 55 #which had SUCH a fun concept #and then absolutely FACEPLANTED with the doctor moralizing at the end #like yes doctor who has ALWAYS explored topical and political issues #but never is there a definitive I Am Telling You This Is Right message #whereas now I just had to sit here and watch 13 preaching at me? #ughghg #explore the idea but don't shove it down my throat #classic who had an episode (Ice Warriors) exploring climate change as one aspect of the story #talking about how all the plants were removed and that messed with the atmosphere etc. #but that was just a SMALL PART of the whole episode and it was never outright condemned (it was made clear it was BAD and the root problems #but that was never the BIG ISSUE the Doctor Lectured His Companions about) (not that victoria or jamie could do anything lol) #plus this feeds into my issues with 13's run (which started during 12's somewhat but less so) #where the Doctor is painted as the Narratively Right one #where when she says something that's what the narrative wants you to BELIEVE #which coming from Two and Three's run is WILD #because Two is chaotic and murderous when he thinks he's right #and he's manipulative and deceptive at times #and Three is selfish and pouty and rude #and don't get me wrong Thirteen has her issues and I lvoe them #HOWEVER. she's pretty much always RIGHT she's the Word Of God when it comes to moral things #and this more than anything is my biggest issues with Modern Who #mostly 12 and 13's eras #so i hope we move out of that somewhat in the new era but i'm not super holding up hopes (especially after star beast) #maybe one day i'll write a proper full article about it but GOSH #i don't watch this show to be preached at. #not putting this in the main tag because it's neg but #yeah what was the Point of misaki coming back at all #K and R had so much emotional development in ep8-10 and their relationship seemed so much more solid #and then we get this... are you telling me the close to three years they spent together meant nothing #that M was the only reason they even remotely cared about one another and that with her gone there was no reason to keep living together #these heart to hearts they had only revolved around M... R didn't even say a WORD about K getting SHOT... i do not get it really i don't #i'm glad R was the one to say yeah we CAN change as i'd wanted and predicted but still... he only stood up for M at the mansion #the photo had K in it too !!! gosh the writing was so atrocious in this one #the music selection during the K and O fight scene was also laughable... idk i'm just really bitter and upset #are these guys like... just colleagues at best... who also happen to take care of a child and live together... #it barely felt like they genuinely care for one another... instead it's like two parents who stick together just for their child's sake #like lottie said that's probably the most concerning message you could send in a show about parenting #anyways ! glad that others enjoyed this episode from the looks of it ! #i really wonder what the finale will bring and if the K and R from ep8 and ep9 will come back from the war #my post #buddy daddies spoilers

Disclaimer: These thoughts are more emotionally than logically expressed, and reflect my own experience and preference.

#I have some beef with Lockwood and I say this as someone who really enjoys both the show and the books. #I've been doing a rewatch to introduce it to my dad (who loves it!) but we just hit Episode 5 and - is it just me but does this episode #plunge rather deeper into the darkness than we see in the previous episodes? It makes sense narratively of course #Complete Fiction has the task of structuring it such that there's a proper midpoint shift in the series and in my own works I increase #the stakes around this point and really let the protagonists struggle. So it's not so much that I have an issue with things getting #more focused dangerous and difficult. I don't know that I have a logical reason for the unease I feel with Episode 5 - there's just somethi #vaguely disturbing to me about it. It may be my own personal sensitivities. The interrogation scene at Winkman's has absolutely nothing #graphic about it and I appreciate the discretion - but it's just so intense - the threats to draw on Lockwood's face with the heated #instrument - the whole electric shocks sequence - I have been told I have a particularly vivid and empathetic imagination so I may just #be filling in too many gaps and feeling the scene more intensely than some would but it genuinely bothered me. More so on rewatch #though I didn't like it the first time either. I wonder too if it's because on rewatch I can compare it to the scene in the book #Gosh - the book scene is *comedic!* 'Let's disguise ourselves as ditzy tourists and while you check the backroom I'll let my coins #fall all over the place and crawl around under the tables loaded with antiques and freak the owners out! And when they get caught #Winkman just lifts them off the ground menacingly and chucks them in the street. The fact that we had to turn this into a midnight #torture scene for TV - I don't know - I don't like it. And just the atmosphere isn't as balanced as in the other episodes. So many flashbac #to grotesque corpse faces which are somehow a lot more disturbing than the CGI ghosts which feel much more Halloweenish #Not much love and light carved out in the darkness. There's some for sure! And even in the torture scene that bugs me I appreciate how it #shows Lockwood's heart and allows us to explore some meaningful territory that the ditzy tourist scene doesn't #I'm just griping and mainly hoping that the rest of the series is more how I remember it from first watch. The warmth of the Portland #Row gang means a lot to me. Stacking this dark feel on top of the discomfort I have with the harsh language rubs me the wrong way #(Thankfully I have online filters so the language isn't an issue for me but it does make me more reluctant to recommend to friends.

But on that topic of this episode and Logan, I genuinely cannot with him and his behavior towards Jess (who btw is my beloved, probably fell even more in love with him than before but that’s not the point). Honestly I get if he’d be suspicious to find his girlfriend with a guy in the driveway but they weren’t even particularly close from what I could tell and they were only talking but it’s not even that that set me off. It was the fact that Logan mocked him about his book. Sure, there’s the excuse that he probably didn’t know how big of a deal that would’ve been for Jess but as just basic human manners, one doesn’t mock someone else’s profession or achievements like that to their face knowing full well how offensive it would come off and then even with the snarky paying for the food thing.. Ugh.

gosh I’m a LITTLE heartbroken

#YES! I skipped 90% of the season after watching part of the first episode so I could see the finale #and yes!! I’m confused!!! #and YES!!! I really REALLY wish they’d kept the title Darkling because the INTIMACY of Alina saying his name while he dies at her hand is so #I NEED SOULMATES WHOSE CIRCUMSTANCES AND ACTIONS MAKE IT IMPOSSIBLE TO EVER BE TOGTWHR OKAY!!!!! I NEED THAT!!!! and instead…oh boy. #why did they condense two books in one???? why??? #also I wish they’d kept the slow burn of their power dynamic. like aleksander has the power all the way through the second book until the #climax. and then through the third book you see aleksander is growing more and more desperate and Alina is more and more resolved it’s so go #I don’t even know if I’ll watch the whole season I might just reread the books #i know seige and storm had some pacing issues but it’s my favorite because there’s so much depth to Alina #also idk just from the few scenes I’ve watched the strange intimacy between Alina and the Darkling isn’t really present in the series #or if it is it’s very one sided #also I love that there are some very minor elements that tell us Alina isn’t 100% reliable as a narrator and I LOVE the sorts of possibiliti #that opens up. (see: the scene where someone is spoon feeding Alina and it’s implied to be the Darkling) #Alina assumes that any and all intimacy was manipulation and because she’s the narrator thts the way the story is told. but there r MOMENTS #and I LOVE THE NUANCE #this series seems to not have that :/ which is…okay…but not my sort of thing #oh my word kf you didn’t know I’ve written two fanfics for these two and in neither do they end up together #me when complex characters are complex!!!! #me when I’m able to explore details of the characterization liel the rabid little animal I am!!!! #GOSH I THINK IM RE-ENTERING I HYPERFIXATION!!! As much as I strongly dislike when a series kind of "cages" the self insert/OC potential of its audience, it's becoming pretty clear that there's a certain level of pre-determined-ness to Sinners and their appearances, almost to the point it's vaguely implied entire sections of Pentagram City are like, ethnically/visually distinct and that every character we see fits into some sort of category and resembles other people. There's an Overlord who's a giant raptor dinosaur and there are other dinosaur Sinners (and also she's like the club/rave based overlord and even has a business, Klub Kaiju, interesting). Valentino is a moth and there are other moths and different bugs like spiders. In the most recent episode showing flashbacks of Hell in Alastor's past, there was a past female Overlord who had the same multi-toned angular swirling hair as Velvette does. In Vox's studio in episode two, he has members of staff that are visually similar to his own aesthetic. Even up in Heaven, Angel's sister Molly still has her spider aesthetic with a halo and cherub wings

so, i guess, to go where I'm ACTUALLY going with this post.... Moth Reader who winds up catching Valentino's eyes because "oh wow we're both moths, isn't that cute" and it escalates into him seeing you as his property, ESPECIALLY if you also have weird drugging/pheromone powers like him

Like can you imagine it? You smack down into the city while he's like having lunch at a cafe or his limo is parked at a light and you're standing up all confused and helpless and cute, hugging yourself as you look around this loud violent scary new place, and you two wind up making exact eye contact and he can tell you're crying and scared, easy prey. Could you picture Reader's equivalent of his coat being that you're in a little hoodie or jacket or shawl and it just unwraps while you're sitting with him. Idk. You accidentally inhale some of his smoke and just give a cute little sneeze and your antenna and your wings are all just poofing out, you basically just equipped that shit from your inventory. On the fence if Reader would have chest fur but maybe your hair hair is really big and long and silky

Moth Reader having eye spots on their wings that can lull someone into hypnosis, or you have some sort of pheromone that makes people weak to your demands, maybe even horny for you, like some mind controlling queen bee ordering her drones. Val's in the bathroom and some creep grabs you and all of a sudden your antenna twitch and his face gets hit with a little puff of 'dust' and suddenly he's letting go of you, "oh my gosh sweetie I am so sorry, here, take all the money in my wallet, you deserve it, I'm so sorry queen, I'm gonna go jump into traffic, sorry queen, sorry, sorry, im a worm, sorry, sorry"

Valentino having unique reactions to your "pollen" as another moth or at least an addict with a tolerance. He buries his face in your neck so you "poof" him on purpose and he's just hotboxing your scent and getting high and horny while you're struggling and squealing. He forces you to use your powers on him and others so they can feel happy and high. At some point he may even force you to keep producing the powder so he can sell it as a drug or a product and at that point you're BIG INCOME for him, he might as well carry you around like his personal vape pen

Like. Can you even imagine "oh yeah Im super lucky enough that i have these powers to protect myself and potentially manipulate others" and you think you're safe and untouchable and this man is like using his fucking credit card to shift your powder into lines to snort it like a rail of cocaine. You can turn "normal" Sinners into your helpless pawns but it loses effectiveness the stronger the person is and this man is like HOTBOXING your shit, all but passing out on the couch with you in his arms in pure drug seeking unrestrained bliss. And then he fucks ya cause I mean, it's YOUR fault he's all hot and bothered now isn't it?

Just Reader not even knowing how much danger they're in because you just got here and have no idea who this guy is and you're just spinning around looking at your new appearance and flapping your little wings and maybe you can even float or fly a little bit, all happy, big big smiles, being all "oh my gosh this is so cool, I feel so cute ^^" and you don't even realize you're practically modeling yourself on a runway to one very, VERY interested customer...

🍎 - at first lucifer was terrified of proposing to you. you and his relationship was great and you were the best boyfriend he could have asked for but that didn't stop him from being a nervous wreck!

🐥 - he went into the hotel himself to talk to charlie about it, when she heard he was planning to propose she was ecstatic! but she knew her dad was a nervous wreck but that's okay, he decided to bring you after proposing to get his daughters blessing after all shes barely met you!

🍎 - he then proposed to you, he wanted it to be very romantic so he took you to lulu world his prized theme park! after a packed day of just having fun together he took on the ferris wheel and that's when he showed the ring.

“(name).. you are the most gorgeous, kind and wonderful boy i know. and i would feel honored if i could call you my husband.”

🐥 - you obviously said yes! but then came asking charlie, he took you to the hotel with him and you were nervous but obviously charlie was very accepting of your marriage and was ecstatic to get planning! she was gonna have another dad!

🍎 - once lucifer and you officially get married he just gets more clingy then he already was! he loves you so much and your marriage is very loving and sweet <3

You and Lucifer anxiously stood outside of the hotel owned by his beloved daughter, soon to become your beloved daughter as well. You were nervous as hell to ask Charlie but Lucifer knew she would be happy for him. It had been seven years since he and Lilith had split and she would just be glad he's healed enough to get into another marriage. Lucifer finally knocks after a good five minutes and not long after Charlie opens the door.

“Oh! Hi dad! What's up? Is everything okay?” Charlie quickly asks, looking over towards you. “Oh sorry I didn't notice you, hello (name)!” she smiles at you. “Hello dear you remember what I mentioned earlier this month right?” she seems to ponder for a minute before it clicks. “Oh my gosh! Did it happen?!” she excitedly squeaks out and Lucifer nods. “And we've come here to get your blessing seeing as our marriage would make him your other father.” he says and Charlie nods inviting you in. “Eeee this is so exciting! I'm so happy for you guys! Also of course you have my blessing! When do we start planning the wedding?!” she says, grabbing her fathers hands with a big smile and he just smiles back. “Well it sorta of just happened so it might be a while.” you piped in.

“Oh okay! I’m super excited anyways!” she said before turning around. “VAGGIE COME HERE!” she yells for her girlfriend and Vaggie quickly comes. “What? Is everything okay?!” she says holding her spear. “Everything's fine! My dad and his boyfriend are getting married!�� she says pointing you and Lucifer out. You were both holding hands, the rings visible on your fingers. Vaggie smiles at her girlfriend excited as she jumps up and down. “That's lovely, I hope everything goes well for you guys.” you smile and nod. “Thank you!” Lucifer is currently still clinging to you happily. God you can't wait to marry this idiot.

Random facts that may amuse you about the river episode of hilda

To be handed a script and then be like ' ok now lead your team to do the visuals' its like ,a wild experience so I want to share some of the weird things my brain latched onto .. For the door sequence, My pitch to our location and color designers was based off of a blacklight, under water themed mini-putt course I used to love when I was a kid. Just goes to show you can really pull inspiration from anywhere haha. I dont think anyone expected me to go that buck wild with it but I'm glad everyone was on board. anyway.. I lovingly called it Eugene's ' Putt Putt cave of doom ' . I wanted the doors to look kind of flat, like stage props ! The mini putt is STILL THERE BTW . look at this video. GOSH I MISS IT SO MUCH.

Anyway - It works great too because it allowed everyone to have the cooler blacklight palettes, where you can see Eugenes -true- colors. I wanted him to be duller outside of the water on purpose. Cuz hes just a lil old timey guy. A " slightly deranged Stan Laurel " , which was what i had in my pitch notes to the design team.

Heres another silly fact but we based part of the serpent off of the sarcastic fringehead cuz..look at it . its just like -AHHHHHHHHHH. It just waves its mouth infront of other fish and it looks scary but it doesnt DO ANYTHING. ( I think, biologists can correct me)

Also just in general I was vibing with the old..creatures on a map . Like. Of course we're going to give this serpent hooves. OF COURSE THIS SEA SERPENT NEEDS HOOVES. So the designers did a few rounds based off of way older illustrations.

The choice of shadow puppets was done to give Eugene an 'old timey' flavor. I really wanted him to feel more vaudeville and tap dancey - so the shadow puppets were to give him a..more modest intro. The adventures of prince achmed was an inspiration, because how old school animation can you get ! And it really backed up the use of bold colors. I wanted to save his BIGGEST performance to the end, also shout out to @castletoons who boarded this episode AND nailed the song sequence WITHOUT EVEN HAVING THE FINAL SONG?! It fit perfectly. It was fate.

oh , and if you felt a particular beetle juicey tone to this whole episode? You're not wrong ! While it wasnt on my mind when I was first working on visual concepts, our storyboard supervisor Jeff Bittle showed me this intro from the second season of the animated show. Everything zipping at the camera on this endless void ride was the perfect chaotic energy that really helped bring in that sinister tone.

UH SO YEAH I mean I could go on about some of the thought processes behind choices and stuff and honestly I dont want to get into the weeds with opening up a pandoras box on behind the scenes of hilda or whatever. But I thought this episode was a fun example to kind of share a bit of The entire team ran with this weird chaotic energy and I appreciate them so much for it. I'll always love this strange lil episode.

There just isn't enough room on tumblr for the amount of crap that went down today, let me tell you.

Well, as many of you know, shit got real today with the #HoistTheAds campaign and #LubeAsACrew going live.

Last night at 12 PM EST the 2 day , every 15 minute ad campaign that @renewasacrew set up with the money gathered from the ad fundraiser kicked off in timesquare. You can still view them here Expect our ad every hour at :00, :01, :02, :15, :38, :42, :50

There were a LOT of reactions so bear with me, there will be a lot of pictures. The interviewer asked the Ferrari driver who seems quite impressed to the asked question, she had been waiting for this question for far too long now.

"Hmm, some things to expect are sexism and dating rumours, like tons of it! " the audience and her fellow drivers had laughed on what the 23 year old driver had said "Hey it's true though, Sexism is expected since you have a career in male dominated industry, people will doubt you, hate on you and will analyze whatever you are doing, even if you are getting so much hate from everyone don't let it get in your head." mutters surrounded the room as the Ferrari continued to answer the question

"Dating scandals or rumours will be your doom while being a female formula 1 driver, you cannot be seen hanging out with male drivers it will automaticaly be a headline on many news outlet, like look at these gentlemens I had been reported to either be dating or being engaged to these four which is unfortunate for me" The girl had her palm point to the drivers seating on her left side, Lewis had whispered something to Daniel's right ear, which causes the Australian to speak on the microphone

"oh okay cheater, actually everyone, she's four timing us" The female driver fake gasped "oh my gosh, how did you know!, my secret is revealed." the girl exclaimed putting a hand on her mouth pretending to be shocked

"we saw your schedule, lewis occupied your Monday and Tuesday, Charles occupies your Wednesday and Sunday, me and Lando occupies your Thursday, Friday and Saturday, you player." The Australian pretending to count on his fingers,

"Like how can you do that to your husband of 2 years" Lewis pointed to Daniel "your fiancé, me" "and your boyfriend and ex for 3 years" the British pointed out to the two who are now giggling like little girls "See they're now backstabbing you"

"I swear she can star as the player on one of the sza's song called, what is it called again?" Lando suddenly spoke to his mic in which the Mercedes driver answered

"the weekend, My man is my man, is your man, Heard it's her man too" The Mercedes driver sang a verse from the song clearly singing it to the 23 year old driver who's rolling her eyes

"And...AND out of all things you can replace on my behalf you chose a personification of a Greek god, a seven time world champion and has a whole three season of a Netflix show dedicated to him. I. Cannot. Believe. This." The Belgian driver acclaimed as he looks at the audience pretending to cry "this is why we don't fall in love people." Lewis announced to the audience while 'comforting' the younger McLaren driver.

"especially when it's a 23 year old female Ferrari driver who adopted a Maltese saying she can take care of it but in fact she can't even take care of herself " Charles finally spoke up, dropping the biggest bomb, in which the drivers and people laughed except for the 23 year old Ferrari driver

(Y/n) had thrown a middle finger to her older friend "Girl shut up nobody cares, anyways to all little girls who are watching this and dreaming of becoming a formula 1 driver, not just dream it make it real, and if you ever see this men like here don't be afraid to cuss them out"

"shush your mouth, actually everyone (Y/n) is actually dating one of us and it's the fella right he—" before Lando could even speak (Y/n) had thrown her shoe to the McLaren's driver "No, I'm not interested in dating someone right now, before this could escalate more deeper, everyone next question please!" The female driver pleads

the crowd erupts in a flood of laughter clearly enjoying the skit that happened in front of them, as the laughter dies down, another question had been asked.
