A double review because at this point, the show is just repeating itself
Alright so miraculous again decided to air two episodes at once, which ok, annoying as fuck for someone that times and reviews them, but we survive either way. Let’s go!
Confrontation
Alright, I’m officially renaming “Lila episodes” into “Lila and Chloe episodes” because literally Chloe has become the new Lila! Literally nothing that they do makes sense or has any reason beyond “they’re evil and hate marinette mwahahaha” and just exist to make marinette look better in comparison
Tumblr media
(In case you’re wondering why they’re still around and what’s the point of Chloe and Lila, it’s because the minute they’re actually complex/compelling characters or they’re gone, Marinette’s actions and behaviors become way more awful in hindsight, so the show keeps these two around to make Marinette either a martyr or a hero)
Also nothing in this episode makes sense and constantly contradicts itself?
Tumblr media
Like the entire premise of the episode being the students getting assigned to terrible high schools, but they never wanted to do these sheets in the first place? The lucky charms are suddenly magical shields, but then why wasn’t this discovered before? You’re telling me no one thought to encourage petiole away from being akumatized? And also, Lila’s plan is so flimsy and held by the thread that the students will just assume marinette did this for… basically no reason because they’re graduating
Also I don’t care what the episode argues, Damocles, André and Bustier all were shit role models and support systems for the students, and were a big reason as to why students were angry and akumatized in the first place, but sure let’s just pretend they’re good last minute you guys!
Anyways this sucked, next episode
Collusion
So… Adrien has officially been character assassinated by the show to have no personality beyond being love interest!
This happened in the last episode too, but you see it here so much as well! Like literally every minute of Adrien’s screentime, and every time he talks is somehow connected to marinette! Literally his father is sending him away to a private school in London (which honestly at this point with what marinette did to him, take the chance and run baby) which is supposed to be his worst nightmare, and rather then think about his responsibility to Paris as Chat Noir or his friends that he will leave or his sense of autonomy, all he can think about is “I’ll be separated from marinette🥺”
Tumblr media
HE LITERALLY SAID HE ISNT SURE OF ANYTHING ABOUT HIS LIFE OR WHO HE IS BUT ALL HE KNOWS IS THAT HES IN LOVE WITH THIS GIRL AND THATS THE ONE THINGS FOING IN HIS LIFE, LOOK AT WHAT THEYVE DONE TO MY BOYYYYYY!!!
And wasn’t perfect the very thing Adrien didn’t want to be perceived of that marinette constantly calls him? It’s giving putting someone on a pedestal and not seeing them for what they really are (the love square is literally high school sweethearts marrying tans divorcing in like 3 years)
Anyways, grieving Adrien’s personality aside, Chloe is demonized to the point of unrealistic, the one teacher who was actually being a decent teacher and not contributing to a system of corruption is now demonized out of nowhere too, Lila literally makes no sense (like that’s apparently not even her name? She goes by cerise in another school, and she has three moms WHAT THE FUCK EVEN IS THIS SHOW ANYMORE), Chloe is mayor now for some fucking reason (this is illegal), and André gets dumb redemption arc out of nowhere.
Mentioned I’m in the previous episodes too, but André is not a good person and the show keeps pretending he is? Like girl, man is confirmed to do corrupt horrific politician stuff, has had the chance to help and actually raise his daughter for years, but chose to neglect her after her mother abandoned her, and now pretends to be a good parent to a child that’s not even his own to feel better about himself, AND YET IM SUPPOSED TO THINK HES SYMPATHETIC AND GOOD? FUCK THAT!
Tumblr media
Also real quick, what the fuck is up with the mayor controlling the school? Like initially I was think the reason Chloe has leverage in the school is that her dad, through big donations, basically controls the school board and who gets to do what, but it seems he’s just? Using his mayor powers? Like girl that’s not how being mayor works, you can’t just fire anyone like that, this is a very bad lesson in politics
But yeah. Both episodes awful.
The only good things I can take from here is that there’s finally a canonical lesbian couple that wasn’t constantly queerbated (I love Julerose, and don’t like Zoenette, but they’re both constantly vague and easily censored) and Juleka got some screen time.
Tumblr media
(Also Luka and Adrien are officially in the “being Marinette’s love square character assassinated me till the point I have no personality outside of it” club)
Also if you’re wondering why I didn’t mention anything about the fights? They’re dumb, last like five minutes and take a back sit just to tell you how awful Lila and Chloe are.

Episode 6 predictions/what I want to happen lmao
1. I’m almost certain Thorne is going to help Rick and Michonne. I’m not sure how and why, but I think she’ll help them in some way, whether that’s all out helping or just turning a blind eye for them getting away
2. Michonne is going to be in life-threatening danger at some point (but she won’t die because this is The Ones Who LIVE dammit). REASONS I think this (and please dispute this if I’ve got this wrong) - in the first episode, you hear Michonne shouting Rick’s name when the bridge blows up, but you also hear Rick shouting Michonne’s name, and I don’t think we’ve ever seen/heard that in either show? Idk I might need to rewatch it to figure it out, but basically I think there will be a scene with Michonne in grave danger and Rick calling her name
3. Another TWD regular is going to crop up, maybe towards the end of the episode or even post credits? I feel like we’ve not seen the last of Gabriel, but I wouldn’t be surprised if we saw another character (Aaron? Ezekiel? Carol?)
4. We’re getting Red Machete Rick at some point this ep
5. If we don’t see the Grimes family reunion, we’re still going to see something to do with the kids - maybe a radio crackling with Judith’s voice faintly on it? (I am still holding out hope we get the Grimes reunited but with only one episode left I am SCARED they don’t do it)
6. Somehow Michonne is getting her katana back
7. Cold open for sure. Maybe a flash forward that seems a bit like a Rick dream sequence but by the end of the episode we know it’s real. Or something that makes it look like Rick/Michonne die in the ep, but obviously we find out later in the episode that they’re both fine (anyone who believes either one of them will die in this show is DEAD wrong fight me on it)
8. Not a prediction but I want a boss Beale scene because Terry O’Quinn is the GOAT and seeing as he’s the man in charge here, he’s our Big Bad and we’ve not seen nearly enough of him. So this Echelon briefing better showcase Beale’s motivations, and give Terry O’Quinn some good material to work with
Tumblr media
9. Michonne Hawthorne flashback?? 👀
Tumblr media
10. More Richonne fluff of course 🫶🫶🫶

Heyy I recently found your account and love love love your writing. I would absolutely die if you wrote anymore Jim or Gabriel fics. Would love something like fluffy or domestic between Jim/Gabriel and reader or aziracrow finding out that reader is in a relationship with Jim. No worries if you’re busy though 💕

notes: a sequel to this! a plot? in my drabble? it’s more likely than you think.
pairing: jim x reader

“I brought you flowers.”
He has. He brandishes a huge bouquet at you, chock full of sunflowers. You take them with a smile.
“Thank you, Jim. They’re lovely.”
“Mr Fell said I should bring roses, but I liked these ones more, because they’re happy like you are.”
“Oh, Jim,” you say, softly, genuinely taken aback with the kindness of it. You’ve never had someone who’s brought you flowers because they reminded them of you. “That’s so kind. Let me put these in some water and I’ll be right with you.”
Jim waits patiently at your door as you scurry back inside. From across the street, Aziraphale holds up a newspaper to hide his face. He’s cut eyeholes in it, and thinks he’s being very clever. Crowley cringes.
“Angel, at some point, you’re going to have to accept that they’re going to be fine. They’ve had plenty of dates at this point and nothing untowards has happened to either of them.”
“I know, I know. I just want to make sure. You know that I worry.”
Crowley sighs. As you and Jim head off, he and Aziraphale follow at a decent pace behind. Neither of you have noticed that you have hangers-on. You and Jim are quite in your own world. He’s asked you about your day and you’re telling him, he’s hanging on every word without interruption. You walk at a lazy pace and, as you go, your fingers tangle together and you end up holding hands. Aziraphale sees the way he looks at you: as if you hung the stars.
You like walking, and Jim likes being where you are, so you’re taking a turn around the park. Jim’s brought a small sandwich bag full of frozen peas so you can both feed the ducks. He found it fascinating when you told him why bread wasn’t the best option for them, and for the following week spread that fact with anyone who would listen.
Jim’s… a little strange, but honestly, he’s one of the best people you’ve dated. He’s kind, attentive, and happy to take things slow. After the rapid-fire world of app-based romance and online matchups, it’s nice to have someone who just wants to take a stroll with you.
Aziraphale notes with pride that Jim stops to buy you an ice cream from the cart. You grin and thank him and, even though he can’t hear your conversation from here, he’s reasonably happy that Crowley’s right, and the two of you will do perfectly well on your own. He doesn’t want to tell Crowley that, though, or he’ll make him do the dance; for now he’ll just keep observing.
The two of you sit down on a park bench by the pond and eat your ice cream. At one point you get him to hold yours while you get your iPod out of your pocket and offer him one of the earbuds, and the two of you listen to some song and chat in animated detail about it. The ducks are fed, the ice creams are finished, and you lean your head on Jim’s shoulder.
“I’m so glad I get to spend time with you, Jim,” you tell him, softly, taking his large hand in both of yours. “You make me feel like the only person in the world while we’re together.”
“Is that a good thing?”
You laugh, not unkindly.
“Yes, Jim, it’s good.”
“Then I’m glad. I like spending time with you too. I’d do it all the time if I could. You make me feel…warm.”
You look up at him, at his sincere smile, his kind eyes that crinkle a little.
“Jim, can I kiss you?”
“Oh. Yeah, of course.”
Aziraphale and Crowley have explained the basics of kissing to Jim, knowing this would likely be coming. It’s where humans put their lips together and move them around a bit. Jim hasn’t quite seen the appeal, but when you reach up and press your mouth to his, his whole cosmos changes.
Above you, the bulb in the dormant streetlamp pops, and a burst of sonic energy shoots out from between you with such force that it startles all the poor ducks. They take off flying.
He understands. He understands why people like doing this. He takes your face in his hands and deepens the kiss, stealing your breath away from the passion of it. You taste like vanilla and strawberry sauce.
Gabriel pulls back and looks at you with violet eyes. And for a second, he remembers.
“Look at you,” he whispers, deep and longing, swiping a thumb across your lower lip, “you’re gorgeous.”
You furrow your brow.
“Jim?” you ask, perplexed at the change of attitude.
He shuts his eyes, and when they open again, they’re the colour they usually are. You figure it must have been a trick of the light. He blinks a couple of times, clearing his mind from whatever fog just took it over, and smiles at you.
“That was nice!” he says, in the cheerful way you’ve become accustomed to.
“Are… are you okay?”
“Yeah, I’m great!” he laughs, and there’s no trace that he even realises what just happened.
Across the way, Aziraphale and Crowley stare, having witnessed the whole thing.
“That’s not good,” Crowley mutters. Aziraphale purses his lips.

I have an idea for Dean Winchester and one of Hugh Jackman's characters, Van Helsing.😘(If you have not seen it, go watch it, it's awesome!) Where you have been with the Winchesters for a long time and after Sam falls into the pit, Dean leaves Reader for Lisa. it's really sad and angsty at the beginning and begs him not to leave, he tells her to finally get her own life, is mean and thinks she's clingy and annoying and only tolerated her because of Sam being her friend. He does and is depressed and just wanted to die after. She meets Gabriel Van Helsing (modern version and descendant of the famous Vampire hunter and Gabriel the archangels true vessel) helps her get her life back together. Two years later she's engaged to Gabriel and meets Dean again at a bar. Maybe Dean is trying to be kind and sweet towards her but she's not interested in him anymore. Her fiancee gets involved. You can end it how you want! 😁
Tumblr media
hello honey! thank you for becoming my second supporter on kofi! (when you become a supporter, it comes with perks! when you donate, you can choose any request, wip or au, to be written first!) I hope you like what I wrote! thank you again.
summary - after sam falls into the pit, dean leaves you for another, and you end up being attacked by demons, leading you to your future husband.
warning - angst, swearing, happy ending.

“I don’t understand.” You stand there, gnawing on your bottom lip as you stare at the man you’ve known for quite some time, “You want me to go?”
Dean groans, “Yes, Y/n. I don’t even know why you are still here. Sam is gone, and there’s nothing for you here.” He continues to stuff his things into his bag, not even glancing at you.
“I have you… Don’t I? Why don’t you stay?”
“Fucking hell! Do you not get that I don’t want to be around you anymore?! You’re not family! You’re not even my fucking friend! Do you not understand how fucking clingy and annoying you actually are?! But no, because Sam had to be your friend, it meant I had to fucking tolerate your existence. Get your own fucking life, Y/n. I don’t want you. No one wants you.” He sighs heavily, zipping his duffel bag up and slinging it onto his shoulder. “Now, if you excuse me. I have a beautiful woman waiting for me.” And with that, he leaves, leaving you alone.
Hours had passed since Dean left you, and you slowly dragged yourself out of the motel and hopped on a bus, not caring where it took you. You had lost your best friend and someone you thought as family, and finding out they never cared about you hurt the most. You had landed in a secluded area, feeling unworthy of living near people. You didn’t know you were being followed too deep inside your head.
“Well, well. Look what we have here, fellas!” You lift your head to see a few demons, and you know they are demons with how they had no care in hiding their black eyes. The man looked at you with a smirk, “Aww, did your boyfriend leave you? All alone with no protection. I’d say we have a treat.” They begin to get close, and even though you are at the point of wanting to give up, you know this isn’t the way you want to go out. You slowly stand, knives sliding down into your hands. “Oh, look! She’s going to try and fight us all on her own!” They laugh, and it seems to fuel the anger, the rage building inside you.
The fight begins, and the demons all gang up on you as you try and fight your way around. You had started to grow tired, and just as you were about to throw a punch, someone jumped in. Taking down the demons so swiftly and elegantly. You barely had time to blink before bodies dropped, and he had turned to you, raising a brow as you held on tightly to your knives. “Are you alright?” You nod, still cautious. “I’m Gabriel Van Helsing. I mean no harm.” He puts his hands up as you nod, slowly inspecting him before you hold your hand out.
“Y/n.”
Tumblr media
Two years had gone by, and you were now engaged to Gabriel. He had become home to you, helping you grieve for your lost friend and his brother, being there for you when you didn’t love yourself. You and Gabriel were celebrating the good news at your local bar, and when he had gone to get the drinks and food you had ordered, someone from your past decided to come over to say hi. “Y/n, hi.” You looked over, and your face had become pale at the sight of Dean standing beside you, wearing a sweet smile. “How have you been?” Why was he being so… Nice?
“Uh, I’ve been fine.” You smile awkwardly, beginning to feel uncomfortable as you start to look for your fiancee, you didn’t know why Dean had thought it was okay to come and talk to you like he didn’t rip your heart out, but you didn’t like it. “Did you… Need something?”
He smiles, “I just thought we could catch up. I’ve missed you.”
“Missed me? Did you forget what you said to me? What happened to you going back to Lisa?” You growl, growing more uncomfortable rapidly.
“Uh, she… She left me. So, when I saw you, I saw a chance.” Dean smirks, but it disappears when he notices the ring that flashes on your left hand. “What’s that?”
You go to speak but are cut off. “That’s her engagement ring,” Gabriel says, placing the tray of food and drinks down before wrapping an arm around you and glaring at Dean. “I’m Gabriel, Gabriel Van Helsing.” Dean’s eyes widen slightly as he hears the name, knowing he’s literally sitting across a legend. “Now, if you don’t mind. My fiancee and I are trying to have a peaceful evening.”

Gabriel moments that make me ragingly feral (2)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
We get like the tiniest little hit of vulnerability from Gabriel after he’s just been done sitting in the car being yelled at by Dean about family and duty and love, and sure he’s Dean Winchester but you know Gabriel looks at them and sees his brothers, so you could imagine it a little more like Michael snapping at Gabriel that he’s hiding instead of fighting for the family and the people he loves.
Lucifer is coming, he is going to kill everyone you care about whether it’s now or if Gabriel chooses to sack up and do something about it.
There’s something special to me about the relationship between Dean and Gabriel because he addresses the elephant in the room almost immediately. They’re the same, in a great many ways, and that does give Dean the edge to play the moral superiority card here because at this point Dean isn’t talking out of his ass at Gabriel about “doing the right thing” he instead meets him where he is. Family. Your family is inside that building, and they’re going to die.
It is scary, and we’re left on a very despondent scene of Gabriel sitting alone in silence. I’d argue it’s a top contender for saddest Gabriel scenes ever, beat out only by him crying when Lucifer stabs him- but that’s a disgenuine scene in hindsight whereas this scene in the car is all genuine where for the first time we actually get to see Gabriel without an audience. Dean turns his back to leave, and Gabriel reaches out for him. Too coward to say anything the moment passes and he’s forced to sit in silence without the mask on and confront what’s actually happening for the first time.
Maybe he really can’t save Michael and Lucifer. But he can save “Michael” and “Lucifer” (and I don’t mean Sam 👀). He’s not as helpless as he’s let himself believe, actually, he can do a lot just not the one thing he wants most so he previously decided he won’t do anything at all then. Here, he’s forced to confront that, and change something even if it’s profoundly terrifying because of what Gabriel does stand for is love to the detriment of his character then he can also decide to make a change for the exact same motives.
But for a moment, he’s not Loki he’s Gabriel, and the man in front of him flickers between being some asshole mortal and the holy visage of his brother, and he doesn’t want him to go.
Surprise, it’s also (3)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Why am I doing two in one? Well they’re part of the same episode and I think it’s a fun little draw together of the two scenes! Because we’ve already had “Michael” turning up for Gabriel in the car scene with Dean where he’s chided and given a more tough love approach to the situation at hand, and here we have Kali just before that scene with Dean.
To refresh your memory, here in this scene Kali is telling Gabriel that if anyone gets the end the world it’s her personally. Now I don’t know enough about her religion to get into that, but I am going to play into the narrative within Supernatural and it’s Kind Of Problematic but because that’s what the show does, I’m gonna point it out. The show centers around Christianity, obviously. Who else is a world ender? Lucifer.
We have Gabriel and “Lucifer” here. Sweet love, there’s an almost childlike way Gabriel has handled the situation with Kali where he loves her and he believes that she loves him and that’s enough to make a difference here and she won’t hurt him because in a simple world it would! Except she’s not that kind of person, and neither is Lucifer, but Gabriel still doesn’t get that- or doesn’t want to believe in it. Gabriel’s being sweetened, doted on with affection that’s rather patronising. He’s being talked down to here, and he still watches her adoringly. In the end, he’s stabbed with every intention of delivering a killing blow, love is not a factor in this equation because Gabriel is not on Kali’s side.
Gabriel is not on Lucifer’s side, and he can believe in loving his brothers all he likes and in the end it isn’t going to save him. Lucifer is going to strike him with every intention of killing him dead.
Uncoincidentally, Gabriel wriggles his way out of both situations in exactly the same manner. So when RSJ talks about that phone call immediately post hammer of the gods to tell him he’s not dead, this was it! He’s already shown us how he’s going to do it!
Conclusion?
Though I’m not implying any of this on a shipping level, personally for me it’s too shallow of an interpretation to take on such a complex and deep rooted issue on loss, grief and abandonment, you can have fun with this in whatever ways you see fit if you wanna give that guy psychosexual intimacy issues. I personally see it more as Gabriel being unable to grieve, I would argue he’s not even consciously aware of the choices he’s making here because that guy really wants to believe he hates his brothers. But it’s that bitter hatred that keeps him from seeing the truth of his reality, and it keeps him from grieving, keeps him chasing that same dynamic and playing it again the exact same way subconsciously to cling to the deep loss he’s suffered and refuses to acknowledge- to the extent of erasing his own entire selfhood in the hopes of erasing his family along with him. It’s that same naïveté from my last post that’s got him playing out ANOTHER scenario over and over again hoping that if he does just love enough maybe it’ll be different. It’s not. It never will be. He can’t face that.
I don’t think it’s an accident that the people Gabriel draws in the most in his personal life are reflections of the family he misses deeply, and Sam is not a true reflection of Lucifer in any sort of capacity outside of birthright so I simply don’t factor him in here. A guy can claim he’s a runaway and wants nothing to do with his scumbag older brothers, but from where I sit it looks like he misses them an awful lot more than he’d be willing to admit to himself. Here is also where I conclude any Michael=Dean parallels in regards to Gabriel because I don’t think late seasons Dean when we see him again with Gabriel is even remotely the same man and his quest with Gabriel is solely of a selfish nature, there’s nothing Michael or brotherly about him to draw on in those conversations whereas everything Dean says to Gabriel, however cruel, do reflect the larger plot and Gabriel’s internal struggles and ultimate helps him define and better himself under that guidance. But it was cute while it lasted <3

Tv Princess
Tumblr media
Gabriel x reader, Platonic Dean x reader, Platonic Sam x reader
Prompt- “Give me five minutes to get over myself.”
Warnings- Forced (Fake) Marriage, Forced Kiss(?), Reality Warping
Idk man if you find something for me to warn for let me know, I’m really bad at warnings.
TV show after TV show. Sam, Dean, and I “acted” out the scenes. It was Sam’s idea to play along but at this point I was getting tired.
Dean delivers another cheesy line, and the world shifts, or rather glitches, around us. This time it seemed a bit too different. Where is Sam and Dean?
I walked a bit through the room. I noticed my shirt and pants are now a dress. My outfit fits the room's aesthetic. Or perhaps, maybe it’s more of the era?
Red and gold accents around a room that’s lit only by the many windows. It looks like one of those crappy dramas based around old day royalty.
I see a mirror and decide that if I am going to be here alone I might as well make sure I still look good. Ribbons in now tangled hair and white fabric create a perfect dress. Though, I thought white wasn’t a common color. That is when it hit me.
I’m in a wedding dress.
A knock on the door pulls me from staring at myself. I look over to see a girl dressed a lot like a maid.
“Princess, it’s time.”
My heart stops for just a second. This lady really just called me princess. Dear God, help me…
“Yes. Yes, of course. Just give me five minutes to get over myself.”
The girl stepped into the room more. She looked terrified. I felt kinda bad for her. “Princess, I know it isn’t my place, but I know you are scared of your marriage, but we don’t have time... It’s a bad idea to keep the Prince waiting.”
This is going to happen anyways right? If I play along and get it over with it’ll be over. “You know what, you are absolutely right... Let’s go.”
She nodded enthusiastically and we made our way out of the room. We were greeted in front of two large doors by a man in an old timely suit. He didn’t make eye contact or say anything, he just held out his arm for me.
After taking his arm the guards opened the doors. I heard music starting to play as I stared down the aisle. The man all the way at the end of the way was none other than the damned trickster who did this to us. I hid my anger with a deep breath. I observed the room and people in it as we made our way to him.
When we finally made it to the end the man who greeted me gave the trickster my hand and we all moved to a more appropriate spot. The trickster sends a smile to me. I just glare back.
He leans towards me. His smile is now leaning towards a smirk.
“You know it really is best to play along.”
I really want to punch him in the nose at this point. This better end soon. It was funnier when Sam and Dean were being hit in the “family jewels”.
~~Time Skip~~
“You may now kiss the bride.”
Please don’t make me do this. Please don’t make me do this. Please don’t make me actually do this!
The trickster grabbed my hand and pulled me in. Our lips met and I wanted to die. It was different. I imagined it to feel gross or weird, but it was soft and sweet. I could feel him smile into the kiss. This is. This. It. made me feel sick. I liked it and hated it at the same time.
He finally pulled away. I had no idea what to do or say next.
“You alright, Princess? We gotta a whole ball to attend after this…” He trailed off, then wiggled his eyebrows like a weirdo. “I mean, unless you wanna go straight to the honeymoon?”
I gave a tight smile, biting my lip. “Sorry prince charming, but I don’t roll like that. Thanks for the disturbing offer.”
He laughed… Did he actually find that funny? The trickster took my hand and led me down the aisle and to a much bigger clearing.
Then perhaps we should just dance.” It was hard to ignore the actual charm he had. I let out a small sigh as he pulled me into a waltz.
You know. Now that I think about it…“What’s your name?”
He stopped for a second. He seemed genuinely confused, before he covered it with a chuckle.
“I’d rather not give information to someone who wants me dead.” He said smiling with a playful tone and stare.
I retorted quickly, “I’d love to say you telling me your name would help us knock you on your ass, but it won’t… Honestly, I’m just tired of calling you “he” and “the trickster” in my head.”
I looked up into his eyes for the first time since he pulled me in. His eyes showed adoration and enjoyment. Why does he look like that? I must look so stupid staring up all wide eyed. Among that he’s using us like a puppeteer, of course he’s entertained… But, why does he look so loving?
The trickster pulled me in a bit tighter. He looked a little concerned as he did, but he leaned into me like he was using me for comfort.
“Gabriel… You can call me Gabriel.”

Okay I’m on another thought train and you are the designated person to travel with me on these trips. So. Consider. Reverse omens, right? Classic. Sometimes it’s all the angels and demons flipped, sometimes it’s just the husbands. But consider. Reverse omens but ONLY ineffable bureaucracy gets switched. If anything I think this has the possibility to be the MOST interesting variation of this au because, like, if only Aziraphale and Crowley are switched it changes some things but they’re like…middle to upper-middle class in terms of ranking? Not much about the structure of how things work in heaven and hell changes. Everyone gets switched? More variation but arguably too many moving parts and characters to keep track of. Just Beelzebub and Gabriel (or as Beez would probably called according to our headcanons Zuriel. And …whatever Gabriel is called in this. Any thoughts?) get switched? Throws the whole system into chaos! Like here’s how I see it. Season 1 Gabriel was a total asshole. No doubts about it. Heaven was institutionally fucked up and half of it was probably his fault. Beelzebub though? I’ve always had more of an impression that hell was bad because it’s, y’know, hell. Not that Beelzebub themself was an awful boss. Like aside from killing Eric that one time and yelling a bunch they actually seem like a pretty fair boss. Just evil because that’s their job. So like in this universe hell would be like…infinitely worse. But heaven? I feel like it would actually be substantially less fucked up with Beelzebub calling the shots. The other archangels and the metatitty would likely still cause problems as always but I genuinely don’t think it would be as bad. Crowley likely has a bunch of trauma now so oops but like Aziraphales boss is pretty chill so he likely isn’t as messed up as usual. They probably do still have that firm belief in Armageddon and all that but there probably less “we’ll kill you if you don’t go along with this. pick a side Aziraphale” about it and more “Look man I’ve been ignoring you and my brothe- (yes I’m bringing ssiblingzz shit into this. You probably know my brainrot well enough by now to have guessed I would.) Crowley’s shit for millennia I can’t do that any more. It’s time to fight. Please stop being stubborn I don’t wanna have kill you you’re the only bitch I respect up here.” (Beelzebub has always seemed more aware of Aziraphale and Crowley’s situation than Gabe so I kind of think in this situation they’d actually be the type to turn a blind eye to it?)
I do have more thoughts but I need to make food so enjoy this for now and share any of your ideas. I’ll probably be back soon with more.
OOOOOH WAIT YOUVE GOT A POINT THERE- I think Gabe would be some demon like perhaps Camio (from googling, he seems to be "Demon of persuassion and communication", which seems very up his alley, and his Wikipedia article mentioned him being leader of a bunch of demons, so it makes sense-), and he'd treat Hastur, Shax, and Ligur like he treats Uriel, Michael, and Sandalphon. Beez would for sure be dry, and tired, but I think ze'd be a pretty good boss too- the other Archangels may treat zir with an actual respect! ze might also give Aziraphale some slack for interacting with Crowley, since a) it's zir brother, and b) ze might understand how he feels 👀 Demon!Gabe (Cammy?) tho, he'd smell more of plastic-promises, be more manipulative and conniving, and maybe even be more in his element, cuz being a demon doesn't take a "I'm smart and mighty, follow me" mentality, it takes an obey-or-die mentality. I mean, "t-o-s-t...e. TOAST!!" put great emphasis on that ADHFH- (also him possibly being considered as Lucifer's brother? and fellow starmaker with Angel!Crowley?? SO MANY ANGST OPPORTUNITIES-) however, he would probably be extra with keeping track of the intentions of Crowley's miracles, and yeahh poor Crowbro may be kinda frucked up even more-
I think once he sees how Zuriel actually cares about him and sees him as someone other than a big scary demon, as an actual friend and companion who understands him, he puts down his guard and fight-or-flight, and changes for the better with zir. (maybe he didn't particularly enjoy having to manipulate and scare others into doing what he'd been ordered to do, but had to in order to survive? or maybe he and his possible brother team up and are conniving little shits, whatever you think is best ^^)
THANK YOU FOR SHARING ALL OF THIS WITH ME I LOVE YOUR HEADCANONS ADN STUFF SO MUCHVAHFJDHG

Okay I wasn’t going to be active today, but I saw this post about Crowley, and I do recommend you check it out it bring up many good points. It does inspire me to make a post about something I’m kinda surprised no one talks about exactly (or maybe they did idk.)
Now keep in mind, I do love Crowley and Aziraphale, they’re both my favorite characters and also my comfort characters/ship. Not just for their good deeds and characterization but also because they flawed. Or as they said in the blitz episode, they shade of grey. 🩶 I just feel like Crowley behaving a bit stupidly here. (But here might have more validity but still felt it was unwarranted)
Now onto the post, probably wondering what I could be talking about The Jim Situation all the way back in season 2 episode 1
Tumblr media
So I’ve been meaning to talk about this, but I wasn’t exactly sure if it would be well received or wouldn’t make sense. But I think the post I linked help me have some confidence, as I do feel that people when talking about it forgot that, Aziraphale DID NOT want to help Gabriel at all. He never wanted to see him again after 2019; why would he, he not only approve of the first armageddon but also wanted to execute him (specially but also crowley) and overall was passive aggressive asshole towards him. Why would he ever want to help his toxic ex-boss? He kinda didn’t have a choice here, now he did say no at first when Gabriel asked to come in (I mean— idk about you but your ex-boss who’s naked want to come into my house I wouldn’t let them inside neither just no-) but he did bring him inside because he felt obligated because everyone is looking at him and the naked man friend, I think if things were different I think Aziraphale wouldn’t even think about helping him as another thing, Aziraphale moved on from everything that happen, he’s living his life, he even said so to Crowley when talking how he doesn’t report to them anymore. So the have this happen, just felt like ABBA song “Mama Mia here I go again”.
But another thing is that, Aziraphale also (while hesitantly) want to know what happen to Gabriel? Why has he forgotten about himself or really everything? And asking him or the empty box didn’t solve anything at all. As patient as aziraphale is, even his was running really thin as he talk to Gabriel. Not to mention of the fact Gabriel revealed that something terrible might happen which understandably terrifies Aziraphale. So, he turns to Crowley, which gifted us Nina asked about the naked man friend (Sorry I love his face when she drop that, the expression speaks so much volume I love it! XD)
Tumblr media
Okay back to my ramble, now at first I’ll give the benefit of the doubt of why Crowley was kinda suspicious at first, Aziraphale wasn’t being up front about it at first (though to be fair, trying to tell someone “hey my naked ex-boss is in my bookshop and doesn’t know who he even is” is probably the most bizarre to even try to explain or tell anyone). And then as they go inside the bookshop, he got spooked rightfully so, this was the same person who wanted to kill Aziraphale, even saying the worse thing he can ever say: “shut your stupid mouth and die”. So to see him again, yeah, being scared is a valid response even as well as being showing keep resentment.
But, as they went to the very Va-Va-vroom yellow backroom, Crowley first idea was to take Gabriel somewhere far away, which if you really think about, wouldn’t solve any of their problem. It like putting a bandage or tape on a crack, sure it might help for now but more cracks will come up and will eventually break (I’ll get back to this later). What aziraphale said kinda valid, Gabriel does need them because who knows if this something terrible would only affect Gabriel, it could very well affect him or even Crowley or earth, so in Aziraphale’s view helping him out might neutralize whatever’s going on or will happen and taking him to dartmoor as Crowley stated do anything.
Now okay to give more benefit of the doubt, again, I do understand why Crowley was acting this way, and Aziraphale selflessly helping Gabriel is infuriating for him. As Crowley seeing this as “how can you help the person who want to murder you? How can you look past and forgive them this easily? How can you possible find it in your heart to help him after everything?”, which is pointing out Aziraphale’s flaws, him being selfless and need to help. Gabriel could’ve curse him out or bring him down to his lowest yet he still want to help. Now, there nothing wrong with being selfless, it an honorable thing to do, however, it become an issue when your selfless without thinking how it’ll affect you or the person involve. But, as I mention before, Aziraphale never wanted to help Gabriel, the only reason Aziraphale’s want to even do far as help this angel is because 1) he was obligated to as who else could possible help an amnesiac angel? 2) Gabriel mention something terrible will happen, so aziraphale want to know what can that be to prevent it. And 3) he’s pushing away his qualms against gabriel aside just so he can help him. So I don’t think Aziraphale’s exactly wrong for not wanting to sent Gabriel away as it wouldn’t solve the something terrible.
But Crowley doesn’t want to help (at first), so Aziraphale despite desperately loving nothing more but for Crowley to help him; said he’s welcome to go. He’s at least giving Crowley the opportunity to choose. Even though, Aziraphale want his help more than anything as the one thing both of them share is that, they don’t want to see Gabriel anymore. However, with aziraphale telling him he can go, Crowley well leaves. But not before (granted he did try to calm down though):
Tumblr media
Aziraphale while most likely understands why Crowley left, I feel given his expression just wished Crowley tried a little harder rather than just walking away that easily. I almost said maybe he also feels envious that Crowley got the choice to walk away from this but I don’t see Aziraphale as someone who’s envious to that degree, but I feel Aziraphale wasn’t at least wishful he could avoid this whole Gabriel thing more than Crowley. But it just their luck.
Okay back to Crowley again, so we back to see him inside the car and then he is teleported back to hell by Beelzebub, there Ze tell Crowley what Shax mentioned before that Gabriel is gone and try to bribe Crowley by saying he can name his own price and even get his job back. Then tells Crowley that heaven up and arms about the disappearance and will dealt with anyone who’s helping Gabriel with extremes sanctions. Which absolutely mortified him because then there that possibility of being erased from the book of life.
And no, I don’t think Crowley’s original plan would’ve solved anything because in a way, that’s still helping Gabriel in some way. Does it more or less benefit Crowley and aziraphale yes but not by the long run. Like I said, it’s putting a bandage/tape on a crack, it could hold but not for long as it will ultimately fall apart and they would still be punished by doing this. So I think that’s why I never got why he still said “no no no aziraphale what have you done!?” Like sure even though I said my benefit of the doubt, I feel he should’ve at least understand this wasn’t Aziraphale’s choice neither, or even that this isn’t all on aziraphale anyway. It was Gabriel that just showed up and came to Aziraphale’s bookshop in the first place, so this was sprung on him. So I felt this was kinda irrational for him to think this way as Aziraphale never wanted this at all.
So Crowley comes back and Aziraphale decides to play petty (which sure valid since he did walk away but he did give him a choice? Idk it complicated), and Crowley goes on to say he was right which prompted to aziraphale wanting the apology dance from him (which okay imma be real, I have a headcanon where I think Aziraphale was dying to see this day. Been waiting until they first invented it which— I’m curious who idea was this.)
Tumblr media
Now, you can debate if this thing was apology dance worthy but frankly, to see the dance, peak performance. But this isn’t about the dance, it about the grey heroes so let get back into it. Now Crowley does decide to help after all, and they decide to do what it seem to be the most powerful miracle anyone probably have ever seen or ranked. And it was only a half miracle. Which is really interesting. But I think even though Crowley does decide to help, I felt his earlier action was not exactly stupid but was unfair toward Aziraphale but at the same time it valid because of what I’ve stated and his underline trauma towards heaven period, so I can’t really call him stupid for this, but more or less deeply flawed here. However while the situation itself was unfair for Aziraphale as he want to help whatever going on I felt he should’ve also been more considerate about Crowley’s feeling with this whole ordeal as was equally unfair to Crowley in a way too. But I think the most common thing is that they don’t want to do this and want this thing to be resolved so they can move on with their lives. And even if Crowley did what he did, at least Aziraphale foot at forgiveness :) (I hate myself for making that joke— someone sedate me)
Now that’s my thought, this probably is controversial, so you’re welcome and valid if you disagree or even agree with this. Tell me what you think or if you agree/disagree tell me why? If you guys do have good omens question or question in general you can ask me on the AMA. But if you have any commentary on this blog you can unleash them, just please be mindful that’s all I ask. I have more analysis I got plan but for now, imma head to bed and relax. I’ll go haunt with you guys later but for now I’ll go haunt somewhere else. Hope you enjoy this blog and please check out the post I link on here, it was an interesting take and help me inspire me to make this one ^v^ so hope you enjoy that post too.

The Crow Road and parallels/clues for Good Omens 3
I’ve been re-reading The Crow Road by Iain Banks, as it’s shown very pointedly a few times in GO S2. First Jim/Gabriel reads out the opening sentence (“It was the day my grandmother exploded”) while organising books alphabetically by the first sentence in Aziraphale’s bookshop. A few other books are also mentioned at the time including Good Omens itself and Pride and Prejudice (both starting with “It…”). Then later, in E6, Crowley gives the book to Muriel saying that they will enjoy it, and we see them reading it. The Metatron also comments on Muriel reading the book.
Now, there are no super-obvious parallels, unlike with Pride and Prejudice / Emma, but here are my thoughts on what it could mean:
- The Crow Road is a story of family secrets, growing up and forging an identity, and links to the land and its history. There is also a slow-burn romance, but I don’t think it is especially similar to the one between Crowley/Aziraphale.
- There are some meditations on good/evil, and especially on how people are to be judged when they die / after the Second Coming, to decide if they are going to Heaven or Hell. One of the characters (Hamish) has a theory that good deeds will be balanced against bad deeds in a sort of goodness cost-benefit analysis. The main character (Prentice) falls out with his father over the existence of God. Prentice can’t bring himself to accept that there is no life after death, following the death of a friend, and his father is an atheist, who tries (kindly) to get him to accept the death is final. Prentice comes round to his father’s point of view by the end of the novel. I feel that the issue of how people are judged and sent to Heaven / Hell has not been fully addressed in Good Omens (who does the judging? is God involved? Is it the Metatron? Who puts together the Book of Life that records who will go to Heaven and who to Hell at the time of the Second Coming) and these issues are key to the Second Coming story line that we are expecting for S3.
- Another character (Rory), and later Prentice, following in Rory’s footsteps and trying to find out what happened to him, get into very serious trouble for “asking too many questions” (I’m trying to avoid too many spoilers for the book here). Could be a parallel to Crowley before the Fall, and Aziraphale looking into what happened? Another character (Fergus) might be a parallel for the Metatron.
- The story is told via multiple flashbacks and shifts of perspective, leaving the reader to piece the story/truth together. Some of the flashbacks may be more reliable than others (some, we later find out, are semi-fictional accounts). They don’t all make sense at the time of reading, and some only make sense at the end once the reader has all the information. I can see a parallel here with some of the minisodes, especially the one in Scotland which is based on Aziraphale’s diary. Are they all equally factual and reliable?
- A few key bits of information emerge through the protagonist (Prentice) reading bits of another character’s (Rory) diaries. Could suggest that Aziraphale’s diaries will be important in S3.
That’s all I have on the book. It is a wonderful book in its own right though, highly recommended!
Tagging @elijowa as we discussed this earlier!

The Lost Cause prologue, part 6
Tumblr media
I'm coming to Minneapolis! Oct 15: Presenting The Internet Con at Moon Palace Books. Oct 16: Keynoting the 26th ACM Conference On Computer-Supported Cooperative Work and Social Computing.
Tumblr media
For the past week, I've been serializing the prologue of The Lost Cause, my solarpunk novel of a post-Green New Deal backlash that comes out on November 14:
https://us.macmillan.com/books/9781250865939/the-lost-cause
The occasion is a crowdfunding campaign for the audiobook – because Amazon won't carry my audiobooks on Audible, I self-produce them and pre-sell them on Kickstarter. The campaign is going brilliantly, and there's still time to back it:
http://lost-cause.org/
Usually I hire voice actors like Wil Wheaton to read my audiobooks, but this time, at the urging of director Gabrielle de Cuir, I read it myself. It came out great:

Today is the final day of the serial. I hope you enjoyed it!
Here's part one:

And now, the thrilling conclusion!
Tumblr media
“Hey,” someone hissed from beneath the climber and I nearly jumped out of my seat.
“Jesus,” I said, and it came out as a loud bark that echoed down the empty street.
“Shhh,” the voice said. “What are you doing out there, man?”
“I’m sitting on a bench. What are you doing in there?”
“Wait, Brooks?”
“Yeah. Who’s that?”
A person climbed out of the climber, then another. As they drew closer to me, I recognized them as Dave and Armen, two goofballs I’d known since grade school, and I knew exactly what they were doing.
“Are you assholes out here in the middle of the night tripping balls?” I couldn’t help but smile, though. It was so them.
“No,” Armen said, and then Dave spoiled it by dissolving into giggles.
“Just some shrooms,” Dave said. They were everywhere, whenever the rains came, all over the hills and even on the verges between the sidewalks and the roads, popping up faster than the city could send out workers to pick them and destroy them (or, rumor had it, to dry them out and offer them for sale, if you knew the right person).
“On a school night?”
“Yeah. Only a month to graduation. What’s it matter anymore? The dire is cast.”
“The die,” I said.
“Die,” Armen said. “How morbid.” They both dissolved into more giggles. These guys. I mean, they were high af, but they had been like this since the third grade. They were silly, and not all that smart, but they were nice, never mean to anyone, never on anyone’s side in any kind of feud, even the ones where everyone took a side.
Armen and Dave were like goofball Switzerland, neutral and always in a corner making each other laugh. To be honest, they were exactly the guys I needed to see at that moment.
“Got any more shrooms?”
We stayed up all night tripping balls and eating more mushrooms whenever we started to come down. About three thirty in the morning Armen suggested we walk up to Brace Canyon, which is a long-ass walk, but Armen insisted that the sunrises from Brace were incredible so that’s where we went.
It turned out he was wrong. It was sunsets that were great from Brace Canyon. The sun rose behind us, staining all of Burbank— the airport, downtown, Magnolia Park—pink as it crested the hill behind us, and Armen was embarrassed to have gotten it backward and tried to convince us to climb farther up, try to get over the hill and see the sun rise on the other side before it was fully up, but Dave pointed out that the last time they tried that they got stuck because of the monster houses on top of the hills with high fences, and then I pointed out that he was talking about a thirty- minute run and the sun would be over the hill in five minutes, and then Armen pointed out that we’d been tripping and walking all night and we were all tired, so we lay in the grass and watched the city brighten by degrees.
Then it started to get hot, and we were coming down and dozed a little, but then the mosquitoes came out, and then the dog-walkers, and so it was time to drag our asses back down out of the hills.
They walked with me down to Glenoaks, then we split up. There was no way I was going to school that day. I knew the guidance office would give me an excused absence after my traumatic events and all, so I bumbled home slowly, my legs filled with lead, my eyelids drooping. People passing by on bikes or on foot gave me a wide berth that let me know I was giving off walk-of-shame vibes.
I got home and paused in front of the back door. Did I dare go inside? Would Gramps still be awake and “ornery”? Would he be out with his Maga Club buddies planning Mike Kennedy’s wake? Or would they be in the living room, ready to give my ass the beatdown Gramps could no longer administer himself?
Hell with it. I was so tired I was about to fall over. If Gramps hadn’t calmed down by now, then he and I could just have another fight. I’d let him win. Why not? I was tired and graduation was weeks away.
I let myself in. The house was spooky-quiet. What was spooky about quiet? It was always quiet when Gramps was out, or when he had his headphones on to listen to his podcasts, while he played large-format solitaire on his huge tablet.
But it was spooky. I think I must have known. Otherwise, why wouldn’t I have just gone to bed? I mean, I was really tired. I didn’t go to bed. I called out “Gramps?” as I moved from room to room, and I saw that his keys were on the kitchen table and that his shoes were by the door, so I went to his bedroom and whispered “Gramps?” and knocked softly, as though he was asleep.
But I think I knew, even before I opened the door. Otherwise, why would I have peeled back the covers? Why would I have reached out to touch the exposed skin of his neck, felt how cold it was? Why would I have turned him over, boneless and limp, and put my ear next to his mouth, knowing there would be no breath sounds?
I called the nonemergency number and told them my grandfather was dead, that he had died in his sleep, and then I filled the biggest glass in the kitchen with cold brew. I was going to need to stay awake for a while yet.

I keep thinking about the theme of transformation. Butterflies are well-chosen as the akumas because they induce transformation from your average person into a temporary villain...but also because they force Marinette and Adrien (and friends) to transform into superheroes - not to mention Gabriel’s transformation into whatever villain persona he’s chosen for himself this week.
So, bear with me here, but - when caterpillars turn into butterflies or moths, they digest themselves one cell at a time, even the brain cells. There are only three cells remaining at the end of the process, which mutate and spawn the growth of the creature’s winged form.
A few years ago, I looked into whether or not we know if the final insect remembers its time as a caterpillar. In other words...did the caterpillar die? Naturally, people have done some very cruel experiments involving electric shocks and determined that such bugs do, in fact, retain some memories from their previous form, despite their old brains completely dissolving. There’s a lot we could say on that, but the point is....
The journey from caterpillar to butterfly parallels the human coming-of-age process (minus the self-digestion and wing sprouting) - and transformation sequences in any show symbolise this, too.
It takes time to grow. We never really stop. So what we see in shows like Miraculous is our heroes gradually increasing in self-confidence and assimilating their superpowers into their daily lives. At the same time, villains start letting their evil slip through their carefully molded facades. In other words, each character’s dual nature starts to blend into one persona.
This process of transformation mirrors alchemy - and if you bear with me again, I really do think the writers are aware of this, particularly because of how many times we hear / read about the need to ‘purify’ the akuma (which I’ll get to in a bit).
When we hear about alchemy, we usually think of the magical practice of turning lead into gold. However, this is largely metaphor for self-actualisation / personal transformation. Beyond physical chemistry, alchemy was (and still is) a sort of philosophy expressed in code.
There are 7 stages of alchemy, which are noted below. For our purposes, I’m going to explore how they each relate to Miraculous and the general subject of personal growth. When thinking about story / character arcs, bear in mind that these 7 stages occur over a long period of time, rather than overnight / in a single episode.
1. Calcination - Burning the ‘prima materia’ (your starting material) into ash. In other words, relinquishing our attachments to the physical world, e.g. desires for fame, glory, money, etc.
Marinette is forced to let go of her dreams of being a ‘normal’ teenage girl, instead having to take up responsibilities she never asked for.
Adrien lost his mother and started school for the first time. At the end of Glaciator 2.0, he understood that he needed to drop the act he’d slipped into and simply be himself...whatever that might mean. He’ll have another big calcination moment when he finds out his father is his enemy and he has to make the choice to let his mother go.
For akuma victims, I believe calcination is the moment when they first get taken over by Monarch.
Monarch’s calcination moment could be when he lost Emilie. It changed the course of events forever.
2. Dissolution - Taking the ashes left from the calcination process and dissolving them in water.
Water is traditionally a symbol for the unconscious, i.e. dreams, hidden desires, our shadow side - everything we don’t want to admit about ourselves, for one reason or another. Dissolution is therefore when we delve deep into the parts of ourselves we have previously ignored.
Adrien spent a lot of Season 4 stuck in this stage, dealing with his attachment to Ladybug and his spot in the team, not to mention issues with his father. In Kuro Neko, he actively broke out of the Cat Noir persona, trying on new skins, as it were.
For Marinette, I think the key moment was her breakdown at the end of Strike Back, when she was forced to admit that she couldn’t do it all on her own. Dissolution can be wonderful, because it clears the way for something better. We also saw a breakthrough at the end of Perfection, when she finally understood what was holding her back from speaking normally around Adrien.
For akuma victims, it’s worth noting that when they transform their old form appears to dissolve before our eyes, before being replaced by what I always see as their shadow form. They don’t become ‘evil’ - they simply give in to their worst selves, rather than keeping all of that in balance. Think of Cat Blanc - he’s tragic rather than evil, the embodiment of all the anger, sorrow and doubt Adrien carries inside, without any of Adrien’s optimism to keep it in check.
I think Gabriel has been stuck in this dissolution phase throughout the series. He’s so entrenched in his own misery and lust for power that he’s allowing it to consume him.
3. Separation - Separating and filtering the products of dissolution. Symbolically, this is sifting through the qualities we have uncovered within ourselves, to determine what we should focus on and what we should let go of.
Adrien went through this in a big way in Kuro Neko, as he actively tried to work out who he truly was. This took shape at the end of Strike Back, and it came to a fore in season 5 when he finally told his father he doesn’t want to be a model. He has literally been separating from his father and, in a way, from Ladybug. He stopped letting others dictate what he should be and started focusing on what he wants.
Marinette is still working through all of this, but after her revelation at the end of Perfection, she’s primed to move forward.
Regarding the akumas, we could see this as the moment when the akuma is removed and the victim is freed. They have separated from Monarch / their controller.
Gabriel seems to have decided he wants to keep the darker aspects of himself and relinquish any good he may have previously had. In season 5, when he tells Nathalie he has to succeed because he has nothing left to lose, this is him declaring that he’s leaving his former self behind.
4. Conjunction - Combining the elements we decided to keep at the separation stage and mixing them into a new substance. This is the process of reintegration within ourselves, when we become something more than we were before. We have dropped the masks we once wore and are now more honest and whole.
In Season 5 especially, we have seen both Adrien and Marinette act more like their alter egos, even without the masks. Similarly, we have also seen Cat Noir and Ladybug behave more like Adrien and Marinette - because ‘Adrien’ and ‘Marinette’ are a kind of costume, too. When they fully integrate both aspects of themselves, they will be more complete individuals.
Similarly, Gabriel has begun behaving more like Monarch. For example, I noted in a previous post that we saw him do his evil villain laugh as Gabriel, for the first time. He’s letting his darkness show, and that means people will begin to see through him, at last.
For akuma victims, this is the stage we never get to see because we don’t see most of them after they’re freed. But we see some, like Alya, Nino and other friends. Based on this, I like to think every victim learns something from the experience and take steps to integrate their shadow side and outer persona to become a more whole person.
This whole subject is a Jungian idea, which I’m really into. I wrote a whole thing about Adrien accepting his Cat Blanc ‘shadow’ side in my fic Breaking Free. I’m a big believer in the need for this, to maintain mental health.
5. Fermentation - Adding bacteria, etc. to the substance to aid the breakdown process. Symbolically, this means new experiences and trials we go through as this new, more complete self, each one adding to who we are and shaping us further.
6. Distillation - The substance is boiled and condensed for purification. Similarly, we self-reflect and ‘purify’ ourselves as we evolve.
As I mentioned earlier, in season 1 we learn that it’s not enough just to free a victim from an akuma. The akuma will fly around and spread the negativity it previously brought. Left unchecked, it multiplies. In life, this is seen when we haven’t truly dealt with a problem but only put a temporary salve on it - a plaster on a broken leg.
Purifying the akuma - visually shown as the butterfly turning white again - symbolises that moment when we let go of all the things that bring us down and hold us back in life, even if it means letting go of aspects of ourselves. It’s a moment of self-cleansing and refreshment.
7. Coagulation - The substance is crystallised into a solid state once more.
In other words, we’ve come full circle and can begin the whole process anew - because we never stop growing. Even when we reach the end of Miraculous, if these characters were real they would continue to grow over and over and over.... Likewise, each and every one of us will go through the transformative process again and again, taking memories from each previous form and carrying them with us into our next metamorphosis.

Random ramble post since I’m working on things you’ll see eventually but I feel like just rambling how the bosses went for me in ultrakill. (<- because friends had drastically different experiences apparently)
Swordsmachine - I can’t remember which encounter but it was in the demo and I did so horribly iirc; I think I thought I had more room than I did and got caught on walls where I was cornered and shredded. Swordsmachine in the main game however was a bit easier because I knew what I was getting into and honestly I think they helped me develop strategies for the Gabriel fights later on.
Cerberus Duo - I think I died at least 2 times to these guys for the same reasons as above: got cornered thinking I had more room. They were fun though but as normal enemies I hate them for their knockback dash attack.
(Demo ends here, read more for what picks up after, spoilers)
Hideous Mass - The start of almost rage quitting. It was the ground slam that’d destroy me every time for multiple restarts, I don’t remember how many. I still love this thing as a creature but as a boss… horrible in my first encounter, even worse later on… experimenting in sandbox though made me learn some cool things about how you can use its armor against it by strategically placing your shots, though I only used the revolver for this.
V2 (first encounter) - Sighs so loudly. I can’t remember how many restarts it was but it was a lot, less than Gabriel first encounter though. I almost quit for this fight I think because I was getting too stressed. I didn’t know what I was doing and tried to stick with my favorite, the revolver, but eventually out of anger I tried to stay as close as possible with the shotgun mainly for heals and less about damage. Defeating them actually excited me so that was fun !! Side note: currently I’ve beaten this encounter in less than a minute BUT I had no style so no P rank for me
The Corpse of King Minos - I DIED SO MUCH. At this point it feels unfair to compare all the fights because they all have something that tests you. Part of the reason I died so much at this point is parrying is so hard for me… I feel if I at least tried to learn it then I wouldn’t have been put in the blender like I was here. Both before you meet him and after, I died a lot for similar reasons mentioned above. During the 2nd phase of the fight Id die due to being chipped away just enough to get crushed like a bug. I almost rage quit for this one too, not knowing how to heal and hating having learned you have to get as close as possible to his hands to do so.
Gabriel (first encounter) - Where the fun begins!! I restarted 37 times. I was really looking forward to this fight due to my friend telling me about him before I even got into the game. It was so nightmarish but I was too insane to just give up like that. So many times I flew off the arena, slid onto the middle and got caught in the air, too slow switching weapons, so many reasons I got severely punished for. I don’t remember how the final fight of 37 restarts played out but god I was so full of adrenaline after that. Little did I know that it’d get much worse in the second encounter. Side note: currently I’ve beaten this encounter in 2 mins 13 seconds but I didn’t have enough style so no P rank..
Sisyphean Insurrectionist - At this point, understandably, I got very angry with how badly I was beaten up. The shockwave attacks I hate so much and that’s what got me so many times. I don’t have much to say because this fight bored me as much as I’d rather not say that.
V2 (second encounter) - If I remember correctly… I think I had less restarts for when I had the first encounter. Still, I had my ass handed to me. I stuck with the same strategy as before, we kinda just danced together with shotguns in our faces. I really liked the scene when they try to escape and we pursue them. I will say that at the end when we land and they crash, I was in denial about them being gone for good and kinda just.. stood there for a moment. It felt wrong almost to continue without them.
Ferryman - Another fight with plenty of restarts up there somewhere. As cool as I think they are, this thing kicked my ass so hard I almost rage quit, again. Even when I had plenty of room, my flaw was my slow reaction timing. I could handle myself for the most part in phase 1 but phase 2 is where it got even worse. The small arena, the knockback the idol gives you, the range of it’s attacks… absolutely horrid. It was always the idol that got me stuck and cornered and turned to scrap in an instant. I relied so heavily on my railcannon here for healing and it was difficult to be patient when I had to be responsive and aware of such a small area. Overall, I enjoyed it somewhat, I like the Ferryman’s character and seeing it’s ship was quite a moment. (And the hologram room… I just had to sit there and watch)
Leviathan - They were actually pretty easy and I think I restarted less than 5 times. If it isn’t obvious, the attack that got me was it’s lunge for a short bit, otherwise then it was the tail. I really like Leviathan’s design but I feel as if the encounter was sort of just thrown in there.
Gabriel (second encounter) - I am totally normal about this guy. My first time encountering him in the story I defeated him with only 2 restarts in 6 minutes. Jesus christ. This fight was really, really fun and easy to me which still shocks me my friends thought the opposite. I was also really looking forward to this fight both because of what my friend told me and I wanted to go down the youtube rabbithole but didn't want to spoil myself. I was totally normal through this fight (and after). That was a lie because I had so, so much energy from it I had to draw the scene of him playing the organ and I had to make it pretty. Side note: currently I've beaten this encounter in 2 mins 12 seconds, a second apart from the 1st encounter, again no style because I suck ass and getting these P ranks will be the worst thing of my life

Notes
- Michael doesn't bully Evan yet in this story during the beginning and is actually a really good big brother at the time. You’ll see how that changes
- I’m aware that Fritz, Gabriel, Susie and Jeremy didn’t die at the age I’m making them; In cannon, William killed them at the age of eight. I’m making them around thirteen in this story
- None of the timing is gonna be right in this and I apologize. All I know is that it’s before the Bite Of ‘83
___________________________________________________
"Dude, wait for me!" Michael Afton yelled after his best friend, Fritz Smith as Fritz ran ahead toward Michael's dad's diner; Fredbear's Family Diner.
Fritz waited outside the front doors for Michael.
"Dude...." Michael said, leaning his hands on his knees, catching his breath. "How the fuck do you run so damn fast?"
"Mad skillz," Fritz replied with a toothy smile.
"Yeah, yeah, whatever," Michael said, standing up straight again. "C'Mon, let's go!"
The two of them walked in the front door of the diner and walked in. They were immediately meant with loud giggles and laughs, Fredbear and Spring Bonnie singing a happy song and various video game bloops and bleeps.
Michael surveyed the crowd, looking for two specific people. Well, really one of those people in particular.
“Who ya lookin’ for?” Fritz asked.
“Mom said that Dad had sent Evan and Lizze over here a little while ago to play,” Michael answered. “But Evan hates it here. He gets so scared of the animatronics.”
“But it’s either just a robot or sometimes Mr. Afton or Henry,” Fritz said.
“Yeah, I know,” Michael sighed. “I’ve tried explaining that but it still freaks him out. He said he keeps having nightmares about them biting his head off of something.”
“Weird.”
“Yeah.”
“Lizze’s over there,” Fritz pointed across the room at one of the party tables where Elizabeth Afton was eating some cake and talking with some other girls. “I don’t see Evan though.”
“I’m gonna go check the bathroom; He hides in there sometimes.” When something bad happens.
Fritz nodded.
“I’ll do another look around to see if we missed him under a table or something,” Fritz said. “There’s also a little spot by Pirate’s Cove that not many people know about. I’ll check there too.”
“‘Kay,” Michael replied. “Thanks,”
The two of them walked opposite ways, Michael toward the boys bathroom and Fritz toward Pirate’s Cove.
“Evan?” Michael called out, opening the bathroom door. “You in here?” On closer observation, only one stall was closed and he heard soft, shaky breathing coming from it.
“Evan?” Michael repeated, walking over to the stall door and knocking softly on it. “You okay?”
Evan didn’t answer.
“It is you, right?” Michael asked. “I’m not talking to a random kid and freaking them out?”
“I-It’s me.”
“Okay, good.”
“J-Just leave me alone; I-I’m fine,” Evan said. “Go hang out w-with Fritz.”
“No. I’m gonna make sure you’re okay,” Michael argued. “I’m your big brother, it’s my job. What happened?”
Evan didn’t answer for a moment, then Michael heard a small squeak and the stall door opened as Evan stepped out with a tear-stained face, messed up hair and his arm was slightly bleeding. The arm that wasn’t bleeding was holding Fredbear tightly. Evan had a band-aid on his cheek and knee.
Michael kneeled next to Evan and examined his brother’s arm.
“What the hell happened?!” Michael asked. “That’s quite a big cut…”
“Jake hit me again. With a pencil this time.” Evan explained quietly as Michael pulled a few bandages out of his pocket. “He’s always teasing me about how I act too feminine and gay and h-how I still carry a stuffed animal everywhere and how I’m so damn afraid of the animatronics and that I’m a p-pathetic little cry baby that doesn’t m-matter to a-anyone…” A few tears strolled down Evan’s cheeks.
Michael hugged Evan tightly, careful not to hurt the boy’s injured arm.
“I’m sorry,” He said. “I’m gonna teach that jackass a lesson one of these days.”
“Y-Yeah…”
“C-Mon,” Michael said, getting to his feet and taking Evan’s hand in his. “Let’s go to the sink and clean the cut, then I can bandage it and you can play with me and Fritz.”
“Okay!” Evan said, smiling up at Michael.
After a few minutes and Evan’s arm was all patched up, him and Michael left the bathroom to go find Fritz. They found him watching the animatronic Fredbear perform onstage. Michael and Evan walked over and stood next to Fritz, Evan standing slightly behind Michael, looking up fearfully at Fredbear. All three of them simply looked up at the stage.
“I think Henry’s in the suit right now,” Michael said.
“Oh, yeah,” Evan replied. “I forgot that sometimes Dad and Henry wear the suits and other times it’s the robots. I never really think about it too much…. No matter what th-they always freak me out.” Evan squeezed Michael’s hand a little.
“Isn’t your dad supposed to be performing with Henry?” Fritz asked. “They’re both usually out at this time of day.”
“Huh,” Michael replied. “You’re right… I wonder where he is.”
“Weird.”
The three of them stood there for a moment, before Evan tugged on Michael’s hand.
“C-Can we go somewhere else n-now?” He asked quietly, not taking his eyes off the Fredbear animatronic.
“Yeah,” Michael responded. “I brought Uno; Wanna play?” He pulled the card game out of his pocket and held it up.
“Yeah!” Evan replied happily. “I love Uno!!!”
“Same,” Fritz added. “Especially since I always beat you.”
“Yeah, yeah, whatever,” Michael said with a smirk. “C’Mon, let’s go snatch that table in the back before someone else does.”
The three of them ran toward the table and sat down, Michael sitting on one side, with Fritz and Evan on the other.
Michael got the cards out of the box, shuffled them and delt them.
“Hey, Mike?” Fritz asked.
“Yes, Fritz?”
“If I win, you hafta buy me fries.” Fritz says. “If Evan wins, you buy him….?”
“Ice cream!!!” Evan said excitedly.
“You buy him ice cream.”
“And if I win, you gotta buy me some fries.” Michael says.
“Deal.”
Michael and Fritz shake hands and they start playing.

This Is How You Fall In Love
“I can’t believe you don’t think Die Hard is a Christmas movie.”
“If you took Christmas out of the movie it would still be a fully functional movie,” Carlos argues and TK shakes his head as he steps over Buttercup who is splayed out on the kitchen floor looking for any scraps that might drop.
“That’s not the point,” he says, “the point is that the movie takes place on Christmas Eve--.”
2. Prepared and Shared
TK hums and presses his face further into Carlos’ chest. “Hungry,” he mumbles.
Carlos waits, still half asleep himself for TK to elaborate or move to get up, but neither happens.
He feels TK’s body go boneless in his arms as he breathes slowly and evenly against Carlos’ skin.
3. A Lack Of Color
“Okay,” Paul says loudly as he nods to a pretty woman that’s walking past and giving him the eye. “I’m just gonna…” He trails off and turns to follow her and Carlos nuzzles his nose against TK’s cheek.
“I’m glad he’s having fun,” he says into TK’s ear and TK shivers. “Do you want to have some fun?”
TK nods and lets Carlos pull him toward the dance floor.
4. Me And You Back At Mama's
“Not really,” Carlos says quickly before adding, “it’s stupid. They’re all being ridiculous. Aunt Lucy had money, like, money-money. Ranch money and her will is vague at best but she left everything, the money and the house and land, to her kids, in a big lump sum, you know? So now they’re all tearing each other apart as they try to figure out how to divide it up and what they’re going to do with it after they divide it up, do they sell it or do they keep it and should this one get more because he helped out more as she get older or does this one get less because she moved to Oklahoma. Their mother is dead and they’re arguing about money. It’s heartless and stupid.”
“Is that what you told them,” TK asks. “I heard you say something just before you came out here.”
“No, that had to do with something else.”
5. I'm To Blame, I Need To Say
“You should have told us,” he says, “you and Mr. Reyes. You should have let us know. I was so mad at Carlos, I accused him of all these things I—.” He cuts himself off at the bitter memory of his hands on Carlos’ chest. “He won’t even let me apologize.”
“Maybe there’s nothing to apologize for.”
TK wiggles free from his father’s grasp. “There is. Trust me.”
6. Soapy Dishwater Drips
“I’m sure Paul has a couch he’d let you crash on.”
TK snorts. “You’d let me sleep on a couch?”
“I don’t really want you sleeping with Paul.”
“Because you’re the only one that gets to do that?”
7. So Many Somethings
Carlos rolls his eyes but he has to scrub a hand over his face in order to hide his smile. “Was that a roundabout way of asking me if I’m seeing anyone?”
“You haven’t mentioned anyone in awhile and you’re so handsome and so sweet, you should have boys lining up around the block to take you out. So.” She pokes his side. “Is there anyone?”
“No,” Carlos tells her. “But there is the idea of someone.”
8. Pick A Different End
The reading light on Andrea’s side of the bed is on, but Andrea is stretched out in the middle of the bed, snoring softly. The book she was reading before she fell asleep is lying face down on the bed, just out of her reach, and Gabriel picks it up, marks it with her bookmark, and sets it down on the table.
He toes off his shoes and removes his watch. The gold face thunks against the surface of the dresser, and that’s enough to rouse his wife.
She blinks sleepily at him then rubs at her eyes as she focuses on the time.
9. Wreck My Plans, That's My Man
“Hey,” TK says, “I thought you were out.”
Carlos shakes his head without lifting it from the mat. “Just very relaxed.”
“That means you’re doing it right, right?”
“According to some, yeah.”
Carlos sighs and changes positions, twisting so his left thigh is over his right. He puts his right hand on his left knee and presses until his knee hits the ground. It’s impressive, and it gives TK the perfect angle to see Carlos’ ass in the yoga pants he’s wearing.
10. Swing For The Fences, Run To The Line
Carlos feels far too steady on his feet in the elevator up to the room.
Maybe he should have listened to the guys, to TK, when they said he should go out and have fun. He should’ve had another beer, seen what guy Jake found for him, and gone home with him.
He should’ve let loose and had fun; let the guys give him shit in the morning when they clocked the hickey on his neck.
He should have reveled in the look on TK’s face throughout it all.
I know this is working it's way around so anyone that hasn't done it but would like to should!

I AM HERE to give a fic review nobody asked for but i have no one else to talk about it
I have finished CWM couple hours ago and i've been obsessing over it ever since. Firstly would like to point out that cwm was already in my reading list and when i decided to start reading it after sending you that first ask i kept asking myself "why didn't i read it sooner?" cause i do have a severe case of love square brainrot and i have an unresolved passion with ice skating so why haven't i read that indeed.
Then I got the scene in which Adrien's ed is revealed and it was a big OH THAT'S WHY moment for me. I have been recovering from an ed myself for years and i try to avoid the topic because i dont think i'm there yet yk? ANYWAYS. That did make my reading take a little longer than planned, out of caution really, but nothing i couldn't handle (my therapist will be very proud). On that note, I would like to apologize for needing to skip some of the more in-depth ed related parts, but to also congratulate you on the way you handled the subject. I don't usually feel safe reading these type of stories, but cwm was an exception due to your writing and story telling skills.
MOVING ON cause i feel cringey talking about my ed but you really deserve the praise for this
It really is amazing how well you are able to sell rivals to lovers narrative. dymdc and cwm both had me invested in their rivalry. It didn't feel forced, the progression of the relationship had incredible pacing and the reasons behind were believable. Like, writing this trope is so hard because it's easy to fall in traps of the narrative – not making the rivalry strong enough or making it too strong and having to bullshit a reason to end it – but you do it SO WELL. LIKE. i actually don't have words, I keysmashed three times over this so yeah i guess that's what i have to say.
Something I would also like to point out: the choice of performances. bruh. You matched the characters vibes to the choreographies so well. Like I know nothing about the fem skater from the 2010 phantom of the opera but I can see Lila so clearly in her expressions that makes me want to punch her in the face. The way the snake dance has Kagami's seriousness and precision and Luka's edge and style. *chefs kiss*
Now on the note of Moulin Rouge for Adrienette, i feel like keysmashing is not enough i need to bark. The way the story of the performance is a parallel to their relationship AND andrien's condition. Part of me thought he was going to die. I lost cound how many times I cried while reading this and I wish I could have recorded the way i GASPED when they came in twelfth. Had me shaking and tearing up ngl.
The one thing i did not understand tho was why Marinette kept that Gabriel remade their costumes a secret. Like I get Adrien making his piece with the relationship with his bio father, and deciding not to pursue one with him anymore, but Marinette not telling him felt a little shady for me. Maybe I missed something, but I don't think that shutting that door was up to her. I like the ending for Gabriel and Adrien, but idk maybe i just don't like that Marinette kept it a secret from him.
Alright I think I've said enough for one ask holy shit look at the size of this so i'm gonna stop it here. I think I said everything I wanted to say, but if I remember anything else – and I'm still welcome in here –i'll come back to dump more unrequited opinions.
Thank you so much for sharing your amazing work with us 🧡
omg! thank you!! one thing about me is i LIVE for long comments, particularly about cwm (my forever favorite story) so you are always welcome
i figured the ed parts would be difficult for some people to read, so they are 100% skippable & i’m glad you were able to take advantage of that and still enjoy the story ❤️
i love that you actually went and looked up the performances bc i just feel like it enhances the reading experience so much??? moulin rouge felt like the ONLY choice for them, i am soooo glad the parallels were noticed bc it was very much my intention :)))))
re: costumes… really just needed to wrap up that plot line and didn’t know how else to do it haha. I’d spent far too long on it already, and thought of it as like a parting gift kinda thing? A was done with G so (in my head) she didn’t see a reason to tell him, i guess. 🤷🏻‍♀️
anywayyyyy always happy to talk cwm! or writing! or dymdc! or anything else <3333

Thoughts On IWtV Episode 01
Spoilers for the first episode, obviously, and minor spoilers for the books.
The First Meeting:
Lestat smokes. It shouldn’t be sexy, but it is. Also...not like he’s gonna die from cancer, eh??
I feel like we get to see a little bit of showboat theater actor Lestat here.
Lilly plays it so cool in this scene. Honestly, she’s a queen throughout the whole episode. I love her.
Louis came for Lilly, but he left being only able to think of Lestat.
The Poker Scene
I can’t quite wrap my head around the fact that Lestat literally stops time and Louis is just like “Okay, that’s cool. Nothing totally weird about that at all.”
Someone said it was because he was down bad, and he just really wanted to fuck Lestat, and like.... Same, Louis, same.
The Dinner Scene (Holy crap this was amazing!!)
Lestat is so utterly charming at first. Again, you see the actor that the Parisian audiences (and Magnus) fell in love with.
References to Gabrielle and the monastery and his shitty father. I’m dying.
Lestat came so close to completely nailing this dinner party. But also, Paul was like, needling at every single trigger of Lestat’s.
Sam’s acting here, oh my god. After Louis bangs his hand on the table, for just a moment, you can see a flash of the predator that lies just underneath before the shame and fear that he’s fucked up sets in.
Louis’ mother blaming it on the humidity was just so delightfully southern.
The Sex Scene
Okay, first, Nicki reference. I literally gasped out loud. Nicki, my beloved. I really hope we get to see you in some way. Seriously, I’m dying just thinking about this.
“I told Mr. Lioncourt, you and me usually just talk.”
“It’s fine, love.”
Lilly, you were such a fucking bro. You deserved better.
But also? We know Lestat only kills evildoers, so uh.... Lilly?? Lilly??
Okay, so obviously there was some fuckery on Lestat’s part here, but I just really needed to point out here, that it’s Louis that launches himself at Lestat first, and not the other way around. (Again, same, Louis, I would do the same...)
Um...Sam....ahem, has a very nice ass.
Also the afterglow scene. I’m so pleased. More of this. <3
The Wedding/The Rooftop Scene
Oh my god, the tap dancing scene
I’m so happy we were given time to just see Louis interacting with his family.
That’s the nice thing about the longer format tv show over a movie. Time for the story to breath. And they’re such a delightful family - so real, with all of the hardships and squabbles but also the love that comes along with it. (A family dynamic, of course, that we know Lestat never got to experience.)
The rooftop scene is just so.... breathtaking
Paul comes across as so soft, and so... almost childlike. His actor did an incredible job. This scene stayed with me long after the credits rolled.
Louis feeling happy and at peace, and if you’d read the books, you knew what was coming, and so there was this underlying tension, it was so good.
And then(!) You know in the books it was written quite strangely, it’s described in a way in which you think...man, maybe he didn’t jump or fall, like what if.... what if.... Lestat had something to do with it.
And I thought they translated that kind of surreal vibe really well to the screen here.
Of course, in the book it never comes up again. And I hope they keep that here. Like I hope they don’t try to come back and explicitly say Lestat had something to do with it. I think it’s better being this kind of unknown that’s floating out there.
The Church Scene
Okay, so there were some things I really liked about this scene, and some things I really did not.
In the minority here, but I hated the part with the second priest. Idk, I guess it’s very QotD Lestat-ish.
But here’s one thing I loved. Lestat doesn’t even try to ease Louis into the thought of him being a vampire. He’s just like, this is what I am. And I think, you know, Lestat, and the audience, is aware that Louis has to already know at this point. Because, Louis.... He drank your blood. And then he levitated you. He was not being subtle about this.
Like, Louis, you already knew, even if you didn’t admit it to yourself. And Lestat was like, no more denying it. This is what I am, and you have a choice to make.
And Louis chose the correct option, obviously. And I love him for that.
