sorry i will be having straight up NO CHILL about this WHY DID ZUKO FIGHT OZAI ??? JUST SO DALLAS LIU COULD SHOW OFF HIS ACRO SKILLS ??? I'M SORRY I WAS UNDER THE IMPRESSION THAT ZUKOS REFUSAL TO DUEL HIS FATHER WAS AN IMPORTANT PART OF HIS CHARACTER OR SOMETHING BUT I GUESS I WAS WRONG
The most annoying thing in Avatar live action is that Aang is not stupid enough. I want him and Sokka to share that one last brain cell and afterwards lend it to Toph and Zuko… i want him to be the imbecile he truly is…
James Cameron literally waiting almost an entire decade just to start shooting the first Avatar movie because the mocap tech that existed in the 90s wasn’t up to his standards yet
James Cameron planning out the sequel in the early 2010s when he realized that there wasn’t a way to shoot mocap underwater yet
For my next series(?) I wanted to do one of a fire Na'vi! Reader, ik we have to wait until 2024(?) for the third movie but I can't help myself into thinking of a plot for a fic.
I couldn't Finish One Episode of Netflix's Avatar Reboot
I went into this show optimistic. I really hoped it would be fun and enjoyable. Instead, what I ended up with was just tedious. I got about 37 minutes into the first episode before I'd had enough, turned it off, and decided to rewatch the animated version instead. I get that this show wanted to be a gritty dramatic version of the show, but it didn't really succeed. Okay, actually seeing the Air Nomad Mass Unaliving was certainly darker than anything the cartoon showed. But in the process, everything else about the original was scrubbed away. Every single actor was wooden and stiff. Aang and Gyatso's teasing around is said with as much emotion as Zuko uses when scolding his crew. There is no emotional weight to any character's dialogue. And the jokes are horrible. There's a moment where Aang just repeats the word 'Sky Bison' over and over again. Which seems like very juvenile humor. I thought this was supposed to be the gritty dramatic adult version, so why the juvenile humor? Pick a tone and butcher it. And Gramgram really put the nail in the coffin. She just starts reciting the show's opening monologue, Aang runs out of the room, and Gramgram keeps expositioning to the Waterbenders in the room like Aang didn't even leave. And then Aang talks about how heartbroken he is with the exact same tone of voice he used when joking with Gyatso because tone is dead, apparently. At which point, I promptly turned the show off. I expected it to be different, but I was just bored. In its attempt to be darker and more mature, the show missed the human core that made the original so charming, which was the warmth of the characters. Without it, it just feels soulless and lifeless. At the same time, the original actually feels more mature than this version because there, emotions had weight and value. Worse still, it wastes so much time expositing so many things that the original got across painlessly and seamlessly through natural dialogue. Honestly, if Netflix had just done the effortless braindead thing and just made a shot-for-shot line-for-line remake, it would have at least been entertaining. The actors would have at least shown an ounce of emotion. I'm certainly not impressed. I'd rather watch season 2 of Legend of Korra on repeat than episode 2 of the Netflix reboot.
Hi Guys, this post is for all people who are anti critic of the Live Action version of the Avatar The Last Airbender.
Yes, everything is not perfect and yes, the first live action was a completely a disaster. BUT.. it was indeed not the characters fault, it was the producers behind the movie.
(M. Night Shyamalan) + more.
I have been reading some articles about Aang from the first live action 2010 Netflix. (Noah Andrew Ringer) who looked happy and excited to play Aang, but Avatar fans was angry and disappointed over the movie. They harassed and humiliated him so much, that he was so sad and broken till he stayed away from the film branch + he hide and was isolated from thousands of angry fans. I remember him smiling just like the new Aang (Gordon Cormier). Live Action series 2024 Netflix.
Now, it has started once again. Angry fans doing exactly the same thing against Gordon. This is so unworthy and so not cool! Stop it right here and now!
Please, my dearest beloved followers and hugh fan of Avatar The Last Airbender, do not go that far, so that you are or becomes one of those anti fans. It's sad.
The kids are doing what's being told to act, and they really are doing their best.
So help me and the two Aang + not to forget about the other actors/actress, to like, love and celebrate them. I am pretty sure it will help them to become even better. I don't want to see Gordons face turn into a sad face, because I love his smile and kind face.
So please, be nice to other people. Do not bully or judge without knowing the person!
Actually I'm looking forward to watch season 2 + 3 as it is confirmed. ❤️

Noah is 28 years old today. His stopped acting right after the avatar was released, especially after all that negative criticism.
A few days ago I noticed the introduction of a "new" fandom on Ao3:
So far there's only 50 works in it as you can see. Please note that many works based on the Atla netflix show will have been sorted into the "Avatar: The Last Airbender (Cartoon 2005)" fandom so far and it might take a while for people to see the new fandom tag on Ao3.
Therefore: If you're looking for an Atla fanfiction based on the netflix series (only) make sure to look into both of the aforementioned tags.
So far both Atla fandom tags haven't yet been merged under a metatag as far as I could see but this might happen in the future.
There's already several synonyms for the new fandom tag as well:
All of these tags will get you the same results.
Please note that my Atla statistics so far will have included the ships in both fandoms depending on when exactly the new fandom had been introduced on Ao3. However I didn't limit my ship charts for characters to a certain fandom. The "most popular Atla ships" chart however was limited to the cartoon fandom only.
Alright, maybe many of you knew about the new fandom tag already but if not then here you go.
