i really, really enjoy your battinson and batsis fic, so i hope it isnt too much to know how bruce actually went ahead and adopted batsis in the first place?

Thank you!! 💖💖 I’m so glad. I’m surprised by how well received the story is!

Basically Batsis only told him the name of her school, during the first year she would be there. Bruce doesn’t know anything else about her except for her name, so he’d scour birth records and transcripts each month until he found her.

I’m inclined to think that Bruce couldn’t find her until she enrolled in the school (maybe because she only just moved to Gotham or because she was under the radar). If he found her earlier, he’d probably kidnap her sooner than school-age. He’s very intent on not altering her development so she ends up being the same person she was 18 years ago, but he’d also be very tempted to just go “fuck it, baby time.”

The day her record appears on the school register, though, she’s gone. Whether it’s snatching her up from the streets or out of her house, she would be coming home with him that night.

Bruce has had 18 years to plan the kidnapping and make living arrangements, so it would go without a hitch.

When the boys finally meet her, they’re like, “That child is too soft to become Robin.”

And Bruce and Alfred go, “And we will put our lives on the line to keep it that way.”

First hero ever phantom is known to go to pride events, and that so happens to be where he meets Batman for the first time.

Dani isn’t really a girl, but they aren’t really a boy. They just, are.

Bart forgets to tell the rest of young justice that he is gay, which may have become a problem when he was caught kissing Phantom on their date

Twitter is convinced Batman is dating Clark Kent, and Bruce Wayne is dating Superman.

Ace(possibly aro) Damian trying his damndest to date and it never going well cause he doesn't know wtf is up with his own head. Him either entering a qpr with someone/s or finding someone else who is ace.

Dani ends up in Bludhaven during June. Dick spots a small, lonely girl staring around in wonder. Things happen, particularly Dad!Dick activates.

Dan and Jason meeting at an Ace support group

Danny meets Battinson at pride, but both as heroes.

Bruce's kids finding him, in a bad disguise, at Pride with a new partner they've never met.

Lawyer!Jazz meets Selina while working for a non-profit firm, and they hit it off.

Wes and Bernard meet at a conspiracy convention.

Halfa Jason au where his ghost form manifests surprisingly feminine.

Dani meets a hot girl at the skatepark. 

It’s Amity’s first pride parade! It goes surprisingly well, but the justice league is called.

The batkids only learn that Alfred is actually trans when Danny joins the household and Alfred's like “me too.”

Julia Pennyworth brings home her new girlfriend, Jazz Fenton.

Poindexter attends Pride and is finally able to feel accepted.

Katherine Kane and Sam Manson first met at a gala when it was interrupted by a rogue attack and they were the only two that did anything about it.

Tucker is the only one that can solve the Riddler’s questions. His reward is a dinner date.

Tucker goes to Gotham with one mission: get the gay Robin’s autograph. This proves harder than originally thought.

While working with Leslie Thompkins, Jazz meets Harper Row—part time doctor's assistant and part time vigilant.

Dash ends up going to Gotham U. Finally away from his dad's expectations, he lets himself explore the part of himself he had to keep buried. Dick runs into him at a gay bar and decides this obviously out of his depth guy needs support. Eventual Core Strength but only after Dick tries to help set Dash up with a date and realizes he's jealous.

A series of shenanigans where the batfam thinks that Jason is lying about having a boyfriend. Danny is a cryptid who keeps getting pulled away by either ghost king duties or general shenanigans.

Headcanons for what a first date with Battinson would look like? 💖

Uhhh first time writing about battinson, please be kind with me lol

•Does an stakeout sounds good to you? I mean, what a nice way to know if someone has your back and shares your interests

•But fr I think Bruce would prefer to go somewhere calm and quiet where it's just the two of you and nothing else.

Maybe a rooftop or a park just before nightfall (although Bruce'd be distracted trying to figure out if there's anyone committing some kind of felony, and also it won't last long since Batman works best in the dark night)

•You see, he doesn't like being surrounded by people and since his civilian persona tends to attract a lot of unwanted attention, it makes dates a little bit complicated to plan.

•Once Bruce feels like he can trust you and your relationship has progressed, then dates will most likely take place in the manor, maybe in the outdoors or in the livingroom where you can enjoy some snacks and perhaps cuddle in the couch if Bruce if tired enough to let his guard down.

•During the first date Bruce would be nervous, shy, he's overthinking and trying not to make a fool of himself. That's why he can come off as a little weird sometimes, stiff even.

•Above all, he's a gentleman and chivalry will be his best weapon. Bruce might be awkward, but he'll treat you pretty damn well.

•He let's you do the talking while he just listen attentively and make mental notes about you, so he can figure you out and try to find out the best way to handle you.

•The last one probably sounded low-key creepy, but to be fair Bruce actually likes to hear you talk, and it also relives him because then he doesn't have to set his brain on fire in order to find something interesting to say lol

So the rules are to list three fics: your most popular and then two hidden gems!

My most popular is probably my Battinson Bruce Wayne x vigilante!reader Freaks. I swear I blacked out immediately after leaving the theater and somehow woke up to a 8k word fic fully materialized on my phone (yes, I wrote this beast on my phone like some kind of animal). I'm really proud of this one and super grateful that other people enjoyed it as well. It's nostalgic and prickly and still tender.

My first hidden gem is definitely But Not Tonight, an Eddie Munson x femreader fic. It takes place the summer after senior year. She finds out she got into college across the country and it's just a snapshot of a very bittersweet time. I loved writing it and toying around with Eddie's pov.

My second hidden gem is definitely Dancing on the Dark, an Eddie x Steve x reader fic. @jadore-andor and I wrote this together and it was amazing to collab again, especially on something so hot and nostalgic (Mare writes 80's vibes like no one else, I swear). Bringing together our stranger things boyfriends and making them kiss was awesome too.

1. what's the fic youre most proud of?

The fic I’m most proud of ahh I had to think about this one for a minute. I have maybe two or three and out of those I think it would be Call Out My Name. My first Battinson fic!

Just cause there was a specific vision I had for it and had some self doubt about whether it would make any sense or if I would capture the right tone, if it would be any good but I stuck with it and felt really proud once I finished it and it’s one I go back and re read for myself!

9. what's your writing process like?

As for my writing process, I usually like to start by outlining if I know it’s gonna be a bit of a longer fic, I think a lot about the details and the feelings/themes I want to capture before I start writing anything. I usually start right at the beginning too and occasionally I’ll start with writing something from later in the fic

I write little bits at a time too and often go back to look at things that inspire me about it, I create playlists and moodboards and collect images that I associate with what I’m writing often before I write and as I write too!
