There's my sheriff 🥺🥰❤💘
Tumblr media
Sheriff Beau Arlen played by Jensen Ackles (TV Guide)
Excerpts from some articles:
BIG SKY: DEADLY TRAILS
Sept. 21, 10/9c, ABC
“There’s lots of fun, flips and reveals, along with ‘I can’t believe they killed that person’ kind of moments” in Big Sky’s third season, says showrunner Elwood Reid, reminding fans that anyone can get offed in the Montana-set action thriller. After a hiker disappears, maybe new lawman Beau Arlen (Jensen Ackles) and undersheriff Jenny Hoyt (Katheryn Winnick) should watch their backs! —Ileane Rudolph
- TV Guide
Reid also promises more case-of-the-week storytelling for Jenny and Beau, as well as glimpses into their pasts. And what about those sparks of chemistry between the two officers? "One thing you have to be careful with on Big Sky is the minute somebody gets close, they end up getting killed," Reid adds, ominously. "The actors get very nervous like, 'If we fall in love and we start having an affair, are you going to kill us off?'" It's always a risk in big sky country. —M.L.L.
- Entertainment Weekly
I can't wait to see Beau and Jenny working together, being partners in (stopping and solving) crime, and in life in general...? 👀 Also ready for the slow burn pining that I feel like might be happening, and the healing they can both help each other with, to get over their past relationship woes and heartbreaks, for them to be watching each others' backs, something we saw already happening last season.
“In the first episode, we see a human side of Beau,” Reid reveals. He left Texas to be near his daughter, Emily (Cree Cicchino), when her mom, Carla (Angelique Cabral), moved to Montana. “He really wants to be in Emily’s life,” Reid says, adding that both Beau’s and Jensen’s humor inspired a format tweak: “In addition to telling our main mystery, we’re doing a [quickly solved] crime each week.”
- TV Guide
The way showrunners and networks are so impressed by his work that it's encouraging them to be more creative, think of new formats and outside the box, shake things up, says a lot about how invested he is in every project, how much of himself and his heart he puts into every story, and how much everyone can see that he does. And I think it's the best alteration, the episode cases will help to keep things fresh and fun, and maybe even give room to keep the big season case the same for the whole season.
And the fact that the higher-ups are willing to change things up based on these new ideas is a testament to the trust they have in his abilities, and rightly so, it is absolutely earned! So glad he's once again working with writers and coworkers who acknowledge and appreciate his skills, his thoughts, his instincts about stories and his characters! I am so excited to see more of Beau Arlen, his backstory, how he navigates a new department, his different relationship dynamics with everyone, and I'm so happy for Jensen to have this role that I'm sure is a dream come true, with Beau not only being a cowboy sheriff and the modern western vibes of the show, but also he is such a complex, multifaceted character, he's so funny and warm, so intelligent and badass! ❤

Beau and Vincent's relationship is heavily defined by the fact that it's a situationship that'll never get any further than that because of social circumstances and the way their lives are laid out in front of them. Vincent can't stay forever because he has a wife and a family back home. They can't make any moves because Beau still lives with Abe, etc.
I think Beau and Vincent are very careful to avoid thinking about the future because they know it'll run out eventually, and neither wants to deal with the inevitable grief of having to leave the other just yet. But I think sometimes they also can't help but craft a bunch of ideas about a hypothetical life they could have together.
Beau is enamored with the idea of having met Vincent when they were kids/younger, although there's a five year age gap between them, so they wouldn't have really crossed paths as kids. But something about the idea of them always being together no matter what is a pleasant thought. I think he also just wishes Vincent could have met his mother. He thinks about the future sometimes for sure, but I don't think it means much to him because he just pictures the same life they already have.
Meanwhile, I think Vincent is more fixated on a hypothetical future where they could live together and be happy, that somehow he can keep Mimi and Ava, too, without any trouble, but that he'd finally be able to pursue Beau in a more permanent fashion. I think sometimes he dreams about wanting Beau to come to New York with him so he can have everything he wants in one place.
I suppose he doesn't like to dwell on the past much because he's spent a long time feeling incredibly broken and alone, and although putting Beau into all that was missing from his life is a nice thought... that's not what he had, and what he had fundamentally shaped him quite a lot.
Not to say that Beau didn't have similar experiences, though I also tend to think he had more luck finding other gay men than Vincent did. Impeccable gaydar KRKFNJ but no, I think they can both relate, I just feel like Vincent was broken a lot more by religious guilt and severe anxiety about his sexuality. Beau maybe learned to accept it a lot sooner than Vincent did, idk.
I just think it's interesting. They have such an inherently tragic, messy, and incomplete relationship. And it could be so good, and they want it to be so good, but they never quite get there, and they never will. Shame.

Féline me cache quelque-chose.
Je me sens mal à l’aise.
Alors, je l’ai laissé me prendre. Et j’ai joui…
…Mon maitre vient toutes les nuits me visiter.

Aileen Pringle (born Aileen Bisbee; July 23, 1895 – December 16, 1989) was an American stage and film actress during the silent film era.
Born into a prominent and wealthy San Francisco family and educated in Europe, Pringle began her acting career shortly after her 1916 marriage to Charles McKenzie Pringle, the son of a wealthy titled British Jamaican landowner and a member of the Privy and Legislative Councils of Jamaica.
One of Pringle's first high-profile roles was in the Rudolph Valentino film Stolen Moments (1920). Many of Pringle's early roles were only modestly successful, and she continued to build her career until the early 1920s when she was selected by friend and romance novelist Elinor Glyn to star in the 1924 film adaptation of her novel Three Weeks with matinee idol Conrad Nagel. The role catapulted Pringle into leading-lady status and her career began to build momentum.
On November 15, 1924, a Sunday, Pringle was among a select group of Hollywood elites who boarded the Oneida, a yacht owned by newspaper scion and billionaire William Randolph Hearst, in San Pedro, California,. The event was a 42nd-birthday party organized by Hearst for film producer and director Thomas Ince.
Other prominent guests included columnist Louella Parsons, actor Charlie Chaplin, actress Marion Davies (who was also Hearst's lover) and actresses Seena Owen, Jacqueline Logan and Julanne Johnston.
Early Monday morning, Ince was taken from the yacht by water taxi and brought ashore, accompanied by Dr. Goodman a licensed, though non-practicing, physician. By Tuesday night, Ince was dead.
Ince's death was ruled to have been caused by a gastro-intestinal illness, but the press frenzy that followed turned the event into a Hollywood legend; with various enigmatic and lurid stories being proffered by gossips. Among these, was a story of Hearst accidentally shooting Ince while aiming for Chaplin, who he believed to be having an affair with Marion Davies. Pringle's career weathered the controversy.
Pringle's acting career continued throughout the early 1920s, however, she allegedly was disliked by many of her co-workers for her allegedly haughty and dismissive behavior. She was prone to make witty, sometimes caustic, comments on Hollywood and her fellow actors. During a romantic scene in Three Weeks, in which actor Conrad Nagel carried her in his arms to the bedroom, lip readers saw her say: "If you drop me, you bastard, I'll break your neck".[4] Pringle's apparent disdain for her profession began to hurt her career, and by the late 1920s her roles became fewer.
During the late silent and early period of talking pictures, Pringle co-starred in a series of light films with actor Lew Cody, including Adam and Evil (1927), Tea for Three (1927), Wickedness Preferred (1928), The Baby Cyclone (1928), Beau Broadway (1928), A Single Man (1929) and By Appointment Only (1933). Of Pringle’s performance in Adam and Evil, Mourdant Hall in the August 9, 1927 edition of The New York Times wrote, “Evelyn Trevelyn, the Eve of this tale, is alluded to by Ralph Spence is (sic) one of the titles as a “spare rib.” She is impersonated by Aileen Pringle and therefore is an asset to the scenes.”
Although disliked by some Hollywood insiders, Aileen Pringle often was dubbed by the press as the "Darling of the Intelligentsia" because of her close friendship with such literary figures as Carl Van Vechten, Joseph Hergesheimer, Rupert Hughes, and H.L. Mencken who became a lifelong friend of the actress.[5] She brokered the meeting of Mencken and Valentino,[6] of which Mencken wrote an account, some weeks after Valentino had died. Mencken does not name her but describes her as "discreet as she is charming." Ralph Barton, American artist, was also a devoted friend and used her as the model for Dorothy in his illustrations for Gentlemen Prefer Blondes by Anita Loos. Another admirer was George Gershwin who met her in Hollywood and wrote much of the Second Rhapsody at her Santa Monica, California, home. Her wit, keen intellect and sparkling personality made her a sought-after companion.
After her 1926 divorce from Charles Pringle, Aileen Pringle further focused on her acting career, including Dream of Love (1928) with Joan Crawford and Wall Street (1929) co-starring Ralph Ince, brother of Thomas Ince. However, with the advent of sound film, the studios heavily began promoting a new crop of starlets and Pringle's career faded.
During the sound era, she continued to take small parts in major films and even uncredited roles. In 1944 Pringle married the author James M. Cain, but the union lasted only two years and ended in divorce. By the late 1940s, Pringle retired from the screen and lived a wealthy retirement in New York City, where she died in 1989 at the age of 94.
For her contribution to the motion picture industry, Aileen Pringle was awarded a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame at 6723 Hollywood Blvd. in Los Angeles, California.

— only five minutes ‘til midnight , and we just spotted JULIET ROBINSON , known for SITTING IN THE BACK OF A CROWDED ROOM , STEALING GLANCES ACROSS THE TABLE , and THE SOUND OF ACRYLIC NAILS TAPPING AGAINST A HARD SURFACE , at club nouveau , ringing in the new year ! the TWENTY-TWO year old is usually known for their job as a M O D E L , but tonight , they’re just another reveler in the crowd . when they wrote down their new year’s resolution , they wished for THE OPPORTUNITY TO TAKE A BREAK & A LOW-KEY VACATION WITH HER CLOSEST FRIENDS . funny enough , they had also mentioned how they hoped to forget about the time that they REDACTED . for what it’s worth , i truly hope they can put the old year past them . [ zendaya , cis female , SUPERMODEL JULIET ROBINSON CAUGHT SNEAKING OUT OF PARTY WITH MYSTERY BEAU ]
BIOGRAPHY:
JULIET BEATRICE ROBINSON. born in the heart of austin, texas to rudolph and katherine robinson. she was born into your run of the mill middle class family, but it didn't take long for her family to strike oil. literally. just a year after her birth, her parents were hired as lawyers for two very large energy corporations respectively. handling all the big wig stuff was no walk in the park, especially as time went on and the world began to call for different types of energy. if there was one thing the robinsons were not, it was QUITTERS. it didn't take much time for them to find new clients- more famous clients. switching from company law to personal law didn't phase either of the adults much. in fact, this proved to be their strength. they made the switch in '07, the year juliet turned nine. it was then they packed their bags and headed to new york in search of better opportunities.
new york is where juliet has most of her memories. she hardly remembers life in texas and has only known a life of wealth. it's the type of life everybody dreams of. however, juliet always found it hard. she had no expectations to meet, but also impossible expectations to meet. she could slack off academically if she wanted to, but she couldn't be caught publicly doing things most teens would do when slacking off in school. everything she did was a reflection of her parents, and moving to new york made that very apparent. in texas, it was hard to find people who cared outside of your social circle. new york is a very different environment and juliet has had trouble adjusting. she was there just six years before being pulled from her expensive private school and switching to the homeschool / tutor life.
her parents (and those around them) found beauty in her that she had yet to see in herself. if you had asked juliet, she was just the product of two averagely beautiful people. however, those around her seemed to see much more. through her parents connections, she met with modeling companies and began working on her portfolio. if anyone was going to take her seriously, she was going to need more than just a pretty face. at least, that's what they had told her. luckily, she had been in ballet all throughout her youth, so she already had the grace and gentleness that one expected from a model. she wasn't self-conscious, but she still couldn't see what everyone else saw in her. she spent many hours looking in the mirror just searching for SOMETHING extraordinary about her.
in juliet's eyes, she was not extraordinary. it was her parents that were larger than life. they had turned nothing into everything and she was just lucky to be the one to come out of her mother that one march morning in '98. because she was that girl, she was expected to follow these even more intensive rules. watch what you eat, make sure you're keeping in shape, be careful who you spend time with, et cetera. it was very stressful and she couldn't stand it. she never asked for or wanted any of this. ever since she was born, she has been following a path set by her parents. she understands how blessed she is to have money, a platform, and a promising career in front of her. but she doesn't want it anymore. not that she's told her parents this. she wants to, but she knows she owes everything she has to them. her friendships, her career, her connections... it never ends. as much as she loves her friends and her life, she feels like a fish out of water. it's hard for her to explain, but she definitely has that feeling of impostor syndrome. no matter how many years she spent in new york or as a model, she sees everyone else and thinks they're all happy with their lives. they seem fulfilled and she wonders why she isn't. it just doesn't make sense why she can't just feel the same way as her friends. they're living the life everyone else only dreams of- why can't she be content with that?
because it means having to tell her parents that something isn't right. not once has she ever stood up to them. not for fear of having her savings taken away (not that it matters anymore, seeing how she has her successful modelig career) but for fear of telling them they've made her unhappy. also, talking feelings with two big-shot lawyers sounds like a nightmare. they rely on facts and are very straight to the point. they can be intimidating when they want to be, moreso when they don't even mean to be.
which is why she so desperately wishes to seek other opportunities. even though more and more celebrities are finding their way back to university, her parents seem against the idea for some reason. she's been eyeing other talents such as singing or acting, but her parents have told her "WE DON'T KNOW IF YOU WILL SUCCEED IN THAT FIELD. WHY RUIN A GOOD THING? YOU'RE ONLY GOING TO HAVE THIS PRETTY FACE FOR SO LONG, WHY NOT CAPITALIZE OFF OF IT WHEN YOU CAN?" so, for now, that's exactly what she'll do.

WASHINGTON — President-elect Joseph R. Biden Jr. prepared on Sunday to start building his administration, even as Republican leaders and scores of party lawmakers refrained from acknowledging his victory out of apparent deference to President Trump, who continued to refuse to concede.
With Mr. Biden out of the public eye as he received congratulations from leaders around the world, his team turned its attention to a transition that will swing into action on Monday, with the launch of a coronavirus task force and swift moves to begin assembling his team.
But more than 24 hours after his election had been declared, the vast majority of Republicans declined to offer the customary statements of good will for the victor that have been standard after American presidential contests, as Mr. Trump defied the results and vowed to forge ahead with long-shot lawsuits to try to overturn them.
While some prominent Republican figures, including the party’s only living former president, George W. Bush, called Mr. Biden to wish him well, most elected officials stayed silent in the face of Mr. Trump’s baseless claims that the election was stolen from him.
Mr. Biden did not respond to Mr. Trump’s attacks on the result, but he also was not waiting for a concession. On Sunday, he unveiled his official transition website as he prepared a series of executive actions for his first day in the Oval Office — including rejoining the Paris climate accord, moving aggressively to confront the coronavirus pandemic and restoring labor organizing rights for government workers — aimed at unwinding Mr. Trump’s domestic agenda and repairing the United States’ image in the world.
But Republicans’ silence suggested that even in defeat, Mr. Trump maintained a powerful grip on his party and its elected leaders, who have spent four years tightly embracing him or quietly working to avoid offending him or his loyal base. For many prominent Republicans, the president’s reluctance to accept the election results created a dilemma, making even the most cursory expression of support for Mr. Biden seem like a conspicuous break with Mr. Trump.
Senator Roy Blunt of Missouri was the most senior Republican to suggest that Mr. Trump had most likely lost and cast doubt on his allegations of a stolen election, but he stopped short of referring to Mr. Biden as the president-elect in an exceedingly careful television interview.
“It’s time for the president’s lawyers to present the facts, and it’s time for those facts to speak for themselves,” Mr. Blunt, the chairman of the Rules Committee, said on ABC’s “This Week.” “It seems unlikely that any changes could be big enough to make a difference, but this is a close election, and we need to acknowledge that.”
“I look forward,” Mr. Blunt added, “to the president dealing with this however he needs to deal with it.”
At the White House, there was little indication that Mr. Trump was dealing with it at all. As he played a second consecutive day of golf at his private club outside Washington, the president recirculated a groundless claim by Newt Gingrich, the former Republican speaker of the House, who told Fox News, “I think that it is a corrupt, stolen election.”
Privately, the president’s advisers, several of whom have quietly been candid with Mr. Trump that the chances of success in any challenge to the election outcome were not high, had concluded they had little option other than to allow the president to keep fighting until he was ready to bow to the reality of his loss.
On Friday, a large group of them met with the president in the Oval Office to discuss the way forward, giving him a brutally honest assessment of his likelihood of prevailing. After another meeting at Mr. Trump’s campaign headquarters on Saturday, where political aides again laid out the small chances of changing the outcome of the race, Jared Kushner, the president’s senior adviser and son-in-law, asked the group to go to the White House to outline it for Mr. Trump, according to people briefed on the meeting.
Campaign officials continued to discuss their legal strategy for challenging the election results on Sunday and named Representative Doug Collins of Georgia, who lost his bid for a Senate seat on Tuesday, to lead their recount effort in the state.
On his first full day as president-elect, Mr. Biden kept a low profile, emerging publicly only to attend Mass, as he does most Sundays. Afterward, he visited the cemetery where his son Beau; his first wife, Neilia; and their daughter, Naomi, are buried. In a sign of one specific stylistic change coming to the White House, he also stayed quiet in another way: Aside from circulating a video posted by his presidential transition, he had not sent a single tweet by Sunday evening.
Leaders around the world sent their congratulations to Mr. Biden, underscoring the international community’s acceptance of the results, even by those who had cultivated close personal ties with Mr. Trump, including Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of Israel and Boris Johnson of Britain. A few refrained, including the leaders of Russia and China, Vladimir V. Putin and Xi Jinping.
There were signs that Mr. Trump would come under increasing pressure to accept the election results. The nonpartisan Center for Presidential Transition, a nonprofit that assists in transfers of power between administrations, called on his team to “immediately begin the postelection transition process.”
“While there will be legal disputes requiring adjudication, the outcome is sufficiently clear that the transition process must now begin,” members of the group’s advisory board — including Mike Leavitt, the former Republican governor of Utah, and Josh Bolten, the White House chief of staff under Mr. Bush — wrote in a letter reported earlier by Politico.
“This was a hard-fought campaign, but history is replete with examples of presidents who emerged from such campaigns to graciously assist their successors,” they wrote.
Mr. Bush extended his congratulations to Mr. Biden in a statement issued after the two men spoke on Sunday.
“Though we have political differences, I know Joe Biden to be a good man, who has won his opportunity to lead and unify our country,” Mr. Bush said in a statement.
And a former member of Mr. Trump’s cabinet, Gary Cohn, also acknowledged Mr. Biden’s victory, tweeting his “congrats” to “President-elect @joebiden and Vice President-elect @kamalaharris.”
“With over 145M votes cast,” he continued, “both campaigns should be applauded for getting an unprecedented number of citizens engaged in the democratic process.”
The silence from most other leading Republicans cut both ways for the president. While it allowed Mr. Trump to continue the fiction that he had not lost, it also left him to battle against the election results without the full, vocal support of his party behind him.
Senator Mitch McConnell, Republican of Kentucky and the majority leader, has declined to say anything since Friday, before the election results were known, when he released a generic statement encouraging officials to “count all the votes.” No member of his leadership team has either, apart from Mr. Blunt’s carefully worded statements on Sunday.
In a brief interview later Sunday, Mr. Blunt said a public vetting of the Trump campaign’s claims of fraud could help reassure voters on both sides of the election’s legitimacy.
“I think it is best for both the president and Biden to have as much information out as is possible,” he said.
At the same time, just two Republican senators — Mitt Romney of Utah and Lisa Murkowski of Alaska — and a handful of House members had acknowledged Mr. Biden’s win by Sunday evening, while others were trying to cast doubt on the results.
“Every legal challenge should be heard,” said Representative Kevin McCarthy of California, the House minority leader. “Then and only then will America decide who won the race.”
Speaking on Fox News, Mr. McCarthy questioned why news media outlets had called the presidential race for Mr. Biden, who was leading by tens of thousands of votes in key battleground states, before learning the final results of contests in competitive House districts — many of those in deep-blue California and New York — where thousands of mail-in ballots remain uncounted.
“Why would you call the presidential race first?” he asked.
News outlets call races after analyzing returns and concluding the outcome is certain, and the results in the congressional races in which ballots are still being tabulated — all but a handful of them in states that Mr. Biden easily won — have no bearing on the presidential race.
Still, some Republicans were grasping for evidence of wrongdoing. Senator Lindsey Graham of South Carolina urged Mr. Trump to refuse to concede and fight on. He acknowledged, though, that a claim he circulated over the weekend that a postal worker was said to have overheard talk of what he believed was corruption taking place at a facility in Erie, Pa., remained unverified.
“Do not accept the media’s declaration of Biden,” Mr. Graham, the chairman of the Judiciary Committee, said on Fox News on Sunday morning. He called the election “contested” and urged: “Do not concede, Mr. President. Fight hard.”
Those comments reflected the advice of some of Mr. Trump’s top advisers, chiefly Rudolph W. Giuliani, his personal lawyer, who were urging him on Sunday to continue to fight the results.
A remarkably small number of Republicans called for the country to move on and acknowledged Mr. Biden’s victory. Among them were three governors of blue states — Charlie Baker of Massachusetts, Larry Hogan of Maryland and Phil Scott of Vermont — and fewer than a dozen House Republicans.
They included the centrist Representatives Tom Reed of New York and Fred Upton of Michigan; Representative Adam Kinzinger of Illinois, who has been an outspoken critic of Mr. Trump; and four lawmakers who will not be returning to Congress next year: Representatives Paul Mitchell of Michigan, Will Hurd of Texas and Francis Rooney of Florida, who are retiring, and Representative Denver Riggleman of Virginia, who lost his primary this year.
Representative Don Young of Alaska, whose race remains undecided after a re-election bid that was more difficult than expected, said he wished “the president-elect well in what will no doubt be the most challenging chapter of his political career.”
“It is time to put the election behind us, and come together to work for a better tomorrow for our nation,” Mr. Young said in a statement.
On “Fox News Sunday,” Mr. Romney provided a contrast to many of his Republican colleagues. He said that he believed it was “appropriate” for Mr. Trump to pursue recounts and legal challenges in certain battleground states, but cautioned against widespread condemnations of the American system of elections.
“It’s important for the cause of democracy and freedom that we don’t allege fraud and theft and so forth, unless there’s very clear evidence of that,” Mr. Romney said. “To date, that evidence has not been produced.”
Mr. Romney noted that he had had a legal team ready to challenge the results of the 2012 election when he was the Republican nominee, but decided not to go forward once he saw such efforts would be futile.
“At some point, truth, freedom and democracy have to ascend,” he said, “and you step aside.”
