don’t get me wrong I think the general interpretation of Leo being like “I put up a cocky front but deep down I don’t actually think I’m that great and that’s why I have something to prove” is good. It’s cool, plenty of drama/angst potential and probably what the creators were going for, I’m here for it.

But there is a distinct appeal to me of the slightly-to-the-left interpretation of Leo being like “it’s not a front, I know I’m that good/smart/skilled, but I also know I’m seen by others as just the goofball face man and that’s why I have something to prove.”

i know a lot of people have been going 'oh, Katniss reminds Snow of Lucy Gray' and 'Katniss reminds Snow of Sejanus' but has anyone thought that Katniss might remind Snow a little of himself too?

One of Snow's biggest struggles was admitting to himself that he loved Lucy Gray, that he could see her as a human, and that it was okay to have those feelings. He was then 'betrayed' by her, something that caused him to lose a lot of his growing faith in humanity. At the beginning, he was 'playing the game' and trying to win Lucy Gray donations and sympathy points, but somewhere along the line those fake feelings became (what he thought was) real.

Katniss, to some extent, was the same. She had such extreme trust issues, both in the people around her and herself, that she couldn’t trust that what she had was Peeta was love. She couldn’t trust that Peeta really loved her. Snow, the whole time, knew Peeta was a showman like Lucy Gray. Snow was convinced that Peeta wasn’t in love with Katniss. And he saw himself in Katniss - someone rebelling the system but unsure if it was for personal gain or love. He knew that, at the start, Katniss ‘faked’ the love to win the game, and later on was confused if it was real. Playing the game. Just like Snow. He was watching Katniss in the 74th games, and then the 75th, and he was reminded of himself all those years ago.

Imagine. He knew, the second she started to sing, that she was going to bring change. Unlike him, she made the decision to stay good, and she didn’t take that step into the ‘evil’ territory. She was like him, but she was stronger.

There's something almost calming about watching Jaskier when he orgasms. It's always so loud, and intense, and powerful; it leaves no room for anything else.

The words settle him, but only for a few moments before he's ready to panic over something completely different because why did he care so much about Jaskier possibly leaving?

Sure, Geralt has become almost as fond of the after-sex things as he is of the sex-sex things, but he doesn't need them. He won't break down into tears without them.

Except...

That's sort of exactly what he was ready to do just now.

Okay, maybe Geralt wouldn’t have cried, but he definitely would’ve bothered… upset, even.

And he knows this because even with the knowledge that Jaskier is coming back, even knowing that Jaskier only left so he could make sure they both stay hydrated, Geralt is, in this very moment, bothered.

But that wouldn’t make sense, would it? Because Jaskier leaves all the time. He leaves Jaskier all the time. They part for months on end, and Geralt lives.

So what if Geralt has begun to notice that it gets a little harder to willingly go every time they part ways?

So what if his mood during the months where Jaskier isn’t around is shittier than usual?

So what if his mood when Jaskier is around is better than usual?

That doesn’t mean anything. Sex puts most men in better moods, that doesn’t mean he’s in love with the bard.

Not that feelings would mean love. Because a little crush doesn’t equate to love.

Not that Geralt has a little crush, or any crush of any sort. Because he doesn’t. Because he can’t.

Because what they have now, friendship and lust and comfort, is the best thing that has happened to him in a while, and he will not ruin that over catching feelings, of all things.

The door opens, and Jaskier walks in with a wide smile, and that spark of electricity that follows the bard wherever he goes bursts in behind him.

Jaskier takes easy steps towards the bed, and it’s like he’s moving in slow motion.

Geralt desperately wants to run. He doesn’t.

He remains still as Jaskier sets down the pitcher of water, and the cup in hand, and fills it up to the brim before turning to Geralt with a disarming gaze.

The rim of the glass in Jaskier’s hand is pressed to Geralt’s lips, and the witcher takes in the sight before him.

Those wide blue eyes, and that disheveled hair, and those pouty lips— he realizes that he could probably draw every single feature of this man’s face perfectly without even looking, and he’s never drawn a day in his life.

I can’t.

“Well?” Jaskier says, “drink up.”

Geralt parts his lips, and Jaskier’s eyes drop, and Geralt’s heart thuds so loud, it seems to echo throughout his entire body, and Jaskier smiles wide, as if he heard it.

absolutely love this weird luck or instinct that zoro has, that even if he gets completely lost, or is going in the wrong direction, he ends up where he needs to be (*cough*and usually close to luffy)

in the sabaody archipelago arc, this was really my favorite subplot, of just zoro being lost (enjoying his walk in a completely new place where he can't attack anyone who hurts him or others, and can't draw too much attention to him) but ending up at the place they all were moving towards:

they docked the ship at grove 41 and decide to meet there after finding what they needed to find.

zoro decides to go for a walk

and all he has to remember is the grove's number. easy enough, right? well...

because something in their universe really wants him to end up at a different place, so he sees only #1 instead #41.

later when camie gets kidnapped and then after some time the rest of the strawhats, who are scattered around the island, know the information that she would be at grove #1, zoro still doesn't know that - he just knows he needs to get to grove #1 bc he thinks that's where their ship is.

they're all just separately hurrying to the location, while zoro's asking for directions and then searching for the wrong (right) grove.

and ofc the person that he meets first from their crew is luffy, flying on the fish, about to wreck into the building

(i saw the anime version too, but i really like the fast pace of this part in the manga)

it's just so funny that luffy and zoro met before this building, the grove #1, and luffy yelled at zoro to hold on and they both crashed inside.

zoro still not knowing why he isn't at the place where the sunny should be, but at a completely different location - but still a location that he needed to be at, at the right time right place with this whole crew (and just before things get much worse).
