Hello! It feels like forever since I posted anything. I still have not had my computer but apparently found a free art program that is very impressive to do my work. I even bought a Stylus pen that corresponds with my phone. This was taking so long to do, but I'm very proud of it.

This is a gift for the lovely @binart ! She has inspired me throughout the years. I'm very thankful to have followed her work. In return, I hope she enjoys this. :) I'm not as talented as her, but I do hope that this gives her a sense of joy. She said she likes Lance-centric art in which he is loved. I decided to do a point of view perspective, with her hands on his face. :)

Art Poll/Ask for rohanrider3 Ao3

Hey there everyone! So, I have a question for y’all. Some of you might know me already, but for those who don’t--hello there! LONG story short, I’m a writer strugging to come back from about a five year slump (thank you ongoing chronic illnesses, blegh). I’m trying to get back into making art--especially writing--but I ALSO want to try my hand at drawing more. Like, a LOT more. Because here’s the thing--I love writing partly because I have these vivid, intense scenes in my mind, and I love love LOVE putting them into words and weaving them into stories. Buuuuut when...say, due to chronic illness, the “words” part of my brain doesn’t work...and I’m frozen with all these ideas/images but no way to share them...it gets hard to make art, then. Really hard. Like freeze-despair-lose-steam-for-years-hard.

BUT. I’ve found that making art in other ways--e.g. DRAWING, design, etc.--has helped jump start the writing again as well! Which is great! BUT ALSO. I have so MANY scenes and stories I’ve already written. (points and whispers, “Hey look, it’s an Ao3 profile with loads of hurt/comfort stories from multiple fandoms!” and then clumsily runs away in a terrible attempt at a graceful exit)

The world’s a rough place, and the last few years have really kicked a lot of people in the teeth. (*raises hand and spits out a few spare molars* I’m bight dere wib yew, bal.) However, I want to leave this world better than I found it. Tbh the klance community on Tumblr feels like a neighborhood facebook group, its relatively small but everyone's so friendly. People write community posts (fanfiction) and take neighborhood photos (fanart of said fanfiction), and you've got that one celeb that just happens to live in your small ass town and is in your facebook group (@ikimaru @binart ). Then you've got the active members who organize events for the klance Tumblr small town (@viv-is-a-clown @autisticlancemcclain @awhoreintheory @veracxa + MANY OTHERS) such as that secret Santa that was done a little while back (that was so cool of yall omfg).

2) I Really Want to Stay at Your House - okay, I haven't seen this show, but the line 'So, get away, another way to feel what you didn't want yourself to know, and let yourself go' - that really expressed something that I struggled with for a long time (and still do). It's legit difficult for me to tune into my emotions honestly, especially since it's only recently that I can, you know, actually know that it's okay to feel the full range of emotions.

3) Running Up That Hill - any version but here's a link!

I liked this song before it appeared on Stranger Things, but holy HELL. This is such a gripping visual, and the fact that it's knowing her friends are out in the real world, waiting for her, and trying desperately to help her get free, just...really hits home.

4) What Else Can I Do - from Encanto

You guys, this is absolute perfection (play on words intended). My sister said she saw elements of Isabella in me, and it really made my day. :-) (Suppressing all the 'other' emotions when I was younger so I could make impossible-to-please- family members happy? I mean, sure, if the boot fits...lol)

Okay, you guys, if there is one thing I could take back into the past, it's these lyrics and this amazing message. I just want to send this to my younger self, and in a way, I sort of can, by listening to this song and watching this amv. A lot. :-)
