I've been on a heck of a roll lately at going out with an image in mind and having that idea not work. Yesterday was the latest occurrence of this, although the image I had in mind yesterday may actually work if I put my snowshoes in the truck or wait another month I did take a look at Bailey Creek just up stream of Lake Almanor and play with my full spectrum camera and 830nm filter for this image. I am really enjoying some of the "punchy" monochrome that can be produced with infrared light! As I get older and lazier, I'm also enjoying that you can do it at noon (11AM here). Finally, apologies to anyone who's familiar with this spot and likes the horrendous huge power lines that go over the creek here. Powerline containing version available on request .

Looking forward
