Hello! I'm Jellyfish! (Jelly or JJ are also welcomed)♎🇹🇴 I like to write for fun and started this blog in Nov 2023 thanks to my Miguel O'Hara fixation.

I love to gush/talk about him and I mainly write for him at the moment and for the unforeseeable future 🤧. You just finished making lunch from Adam he was laughing about something while he ate something about Lucifer's face when he killed his "precious daughter" you heard story's about what Lucifer did and you were glad he was suffering "serves that scum right" was what you thought Adam then finished his food and said "y'know what we should do today, We should go to the Empathy borough there lots of fun shit to do their and... I got a surprise for you" he teased

your face lit up you were excited to finally be able to go out somewhere after the "incident" Adam was very very controlling and made sure you were either locked in a room or in his sight at all times Adam cackled and said " that means I get to dress you up again my little doll" he then gently picked you up and walked you over to the closet where he started to look at dresses before finding one a red dress that was elegant but also soft and gentle it was perfect for you. You quickly put it on and it was perfect you looked amazing adam chuckled and said "thats it hottie" before slapping your ass

Adam started to put on his robe that he wore everywhere and then said "y'know we should fly to the transport system it would be nice to get out of the house" usually Adam would just use his high ranking angel magic to teleport but I guess he wanted to fly to the transport station which was who low ranking angels got from borough to borough heavens boroughs are HUGE most of these boroughs were about the sizes of the rings of hell so flying is not that feasible for traveling long distances but the transit station was a 7 minute flight from Adams house

Adam then grabbed your hand kissed you on the cheeks and said "ready to go hot-tits" you nodded your head before starting to guide you to the door before you two left to go to the transit port

the Virtue borough was the most well known of the 17 boroughs it was the most populated and home to all of the important stuff like the seraphim, the elder angels, the arch angels, the saints and much more. the Virtue borough has huge Golden skyscrapers and marble road you would think it would have a lot to do but no it was pretty boring "even the angels here are boring " Adam said you couldn't argue because unlike the other 16 species of angels virtue angels have no species wide ability that they all have. Adam tells you that you are a humility angels you trust him because your life before that was a blur and why would he lie to you, as you flew to the block were the transport station was Adam said "your gonna love this surprised I'm so fuckin pumped to see your reaction" his joy was plasterd all over him he was practically shaking as you two entered the transport station

The transport station was exactly what you would expect from a VERY high class area of heaven golden lots of guards and very fast lines you and Adam got on the teleportation pad leading to the Empathy ring you two chatted and waited for about 2 minutes before a voice on the intercome said "Virtue station 17 departing to Empathy station 3" and suddenly the doors closed before you all started to be teleported to the empathy ring

you guys quickly arrived at the empathy ring in around 3 minutes which was VERY LONG because Empathy is on the far west of heaven and virtue is on the East-central part their about 13 boroughs in-between the two borough. Only the humility and sacrifice boroughs are east of the Virtue borough so you were far far from home so that meant new customs to get used to

when you got out the station the first thing you noticed about empathy was how different it was The borough is Literally a group of 1160 small densely packed floating islands that are connected via bridge and instead of having the same white and gold color scheme of the virtue and other central and east boroughs the empathy borough was made of emeralds and has a dark blue-green color the entire borough looked like a rain forest and you loved it and another interesting thing about the empathy ring was their people they looked aquatic even though they didn't need to be underwater to survive. the diffrence between empathy and the seaside borough is that the seaside borough usually get no rain while its always almost wet in the empathy ring but not rainy just wet

Adam looked around seeming unfazed before laughing at how amazed you are "what are you so shocked about theirs nothing extraordinary about this place it just a little different" he mocked. You quickly agreed with him and said "yeah theirs nothing special about this place" you don't know why but when he said that you immediately agreed with him Adam then said "now I wanna show you all the cool shit to do here" before Grabbing you and flying couple streets down till you get to a restaurant that he always talked about

You two walked in and the waiter there looked shocked but said "oh oh my sir it is a pleasure to be in your presence" before bowing Adam just looked annoyed and said "you didn't have to do all that but it was still fucking sweet I just want a table for 2 in my usual seat" the waiter got up quickly and said "oh right this way sir" before Before raising his arms and quickly one of the display little Lakes where some koi and other fish were turned into a staircase of water you were at first a little scared but Adam quickly put his foot on it and he could stand it was strange you are just shocked he started walking and said "come on babe what the fuck are you waiting for get up here" before taking your hand and you to start to walk up this is the first time you've seen the power of these angels and it was very surprising you thought they just lived with water you didn't know they could control them but after all there was a lot of things you didn't remember that's why I needed him right?

The waiter walked you to what he said was his favorite see it it was a wonderful seat overlooking one of the many gorgeous parks of the empathy Borough you two sat down and he said "man this place is even better than when I last came don't know why I didn't take you here sooner just it's a long way but that's no excuse I'm fucking sorry babe I deprived you" you just said sad that you made him feel bad " it's okay don't be sad we would have gone here eventually so why Rush" "Yeah you're right" Adam said then saying "let's just enjoy The View" the view was gorgeous it was facing right next to one of them thousands of parks inside the empathy Borough this one had waterfalls and wonderful Greenery you two are sat next to each other so you cozied into him "awwwww how precious" Adam teased before putting his hand on your head you were disappointed when the waiter interrupted your moment to ask what your drink order would be you ordered what you thought would be good the dragon fruit smoothie Adams are they ordered something non-alcoholic instead " aww is wittle baby too scared to get drunk that's okay" he teased then saying his order " I'll have the white vodka with fruit juice and three shots of strawberry syrup" the way to seemed to be anxious why though why would he be anxious around Adam the gracious first man "o-o-o-ok sir right away" he stuttered before scurrying off somewhere

You and Adam went back to looking at the wonderful view of the park his wings seemed to snuggle around you since you cleaned his feathers they've been really soft almost like a blanket so you didn't try and complain not like you were going to anyways but it was just nice to be wrapped around the big blanket like feathers Adam seem to pull his wings closer to him also pulling you closer to him as he started to pet your back and said "you're all mine you know that I'll protect you and keep you safe and make sure you don't see or think anything dangerous" it's really the least I could do as a decent husband you're nodded and ran your hands through his feathers seeming to make sure that was nothing stuck in between them and if there was anything you would pluck them out because you didn't want him to have dirty feathers it just urked you Adam chuckled and said ' that feels nice you really are perfect" he kept petting you and even going down to your wings even though they were slightly smaller because of what happened he's still said they were cute and adorable and it was even better that you couldn't fly so you couldn't try and do anything "rash"

You then saw the waiter come over with your drinks he put them down on your guys table and said "enjoy" in that same anxious tone before scurrying off somewhere again " what's his problem" Adam Scoffed " I only banished three of the waiters here to hell it wasn't my fault they will be until slow and they were heaven born anyway so nobody really cared" he said with a slight sadistic undertone you two then kept looking around at the park " I wish this moment would never end" you said so Adam knew you were happy " me too... because this drink is fucking delicious" Adam said as he asked you what you wanted to order " I think the Tropical salad would be delightful" you said Adam was shocked and said "ugh diet food I'm gonna get the marinated Teriyaki ribs extra ribs" he mocked before calling over the waiter and placing the order " you better be quick or you know what happeneds" in a cruel the threatening way but that's just because he wants his food not because he's evil or anything it's their fault is what you thought he waiter then scurried off again and you two kept looking out at the park as he cuddling you ever so gently it was like the fluffiest down pillow " keep doing that babe its adorable" Adam whispered into your ear making you flustered which adam just found even more adorable "I love you and you're all flustered like that it's so hot" Adam teased you just giggled enjoying his teasing you like that when I talk to you like that you found it attractive for some reason but it's best not to question it right? The waiter then came rushing in with your food the plate the atoms ribs are serve one is bigger than you and you think the ribs were around half your size your salad was a bit more modest but you're still big it was served in a nice wooden Bowl it was filled with colorful fruits they didn't even know existed along with crumbly cheese pieces of crispy bread and very fresh vegetables the waiter then left in the same anxious pace as last time

You and Adam continue to eat your food it was delicious and he seemed to love it too " told you this place would be delicious they make these ribs so good I just can't eat thousands of them at a time you know what I'm feeling " you're nodding along listening intently but not knowing what to say Adam seem to be very passionate about this place "I swear this place ever goes out of business I'll kill everybody who helped to make it out of business the tax the people who chose to shut it down and the owners for not telling me that it's shutting down " once you to finish your food Adam just picked you up and flew out of the window " don't worry I'm allowed to eat here for free they love me here "

He then landed with you at the same park you guys were overlooking it was beautiful there was a wonderful draping trees and all sorts of colors and the path you are on was there for thousands of years this park was one of the oldest in heaven so you could see all the old landmarks that were there since the times of the elder angels " pretty soon we're going to be at that place where I have a surprise for you" Adam said as you two continue to walk

The park was better than anything you've ever seen there were traditional old monuments there from the era before Humanity was created it depicted beautiful Elder angels and the entire shrine was grown with vines but strangely it felt like it was meant to be that way it matched the aesthetic of the green Lush empathy ring Adam then chirped in and said "I'm so pumped to show you my surprise your gonna love it you're going to be like wow Adam you're so great I love you that's fuck" you blushed slightly trying to hide it you are so excited to see what a surprise was it's like Adam was a genius the setting the ambiance there was light roses everywhere and Lush flowers to compliment it it was a perfect place to visit especially on a nice spring day you and Adam eventually got to a small area where nobody was right by one of the hundreds of lakes in this park he lifted up a vine to show a small area not for you too that was beautiful flowers it was a little cave basically made of flowers and it was right by the water he sat down in motion due to sit next to him " well I know what technically "married " but I don't feel like I made it official you feel me so will you spend the rest of your life with me " Adam then pulled out a beautiful ring it was everything you could have imagined that had a beautiful rose gemstone on it complimented with the wonderful gold exterior " yes yes yes Adam I will " you said before leaning and giving them a big hug he hugged you too and said " I knew you would say that sorry for not proposing earlier I was scared you would get overwhelmed or some shit like that women are strange and sensitive like that " he said before continuing to hug you you to stayed like that hugging each other just enjoying each other's company until Adam finally said " let's go home babe we can prepare for the wedding " before I picked you up and you too flew into the distance

I'm now realizing that while I've had it as my tumblr banner and said my blog had spoilers for it in my bio, I don't think I've ever actually posted anything about TBWF. Figured I'd make a post about it to recommend it to those who've never heard of it.

The Boy Who Fell (https://www.boywhofell.com/comic/ch00p00) is a longrunning webcomic by @boggmann, otherwise known as starfleetrambo (or SFR, or suffer). The comic started I believe as early as 2009 or 2010, before migrating to a different website in 2015.

Here is the synopsis as the website itself gives it:

The Boy Who Fell revolves around an innocent, softhearted and almost-spineless boy named Ren who suddenly finds himself in Hell after accidentally falling off a school rooftop. He is then forced to partake in a tournament full of powerful and vicious beings in order to attain his only way of going home: an all-powerful wish from the ruler of Hell himself. As the story progresses, lines between allies and enemies are blurred, dark pasts are revealed, political issues come to light and all the while, Ren slowly realizes that in order to survive this journey, he might have to give up the very things that make him human.

Don't let the tournament structure mentioned in the blurb give you the wrong expectations: the series is highly character focused and very tightly plotted. The series is neither power fantasy nor focused on power scaling, and it doesn't have filler fights. Every fight shown is shown for a reason and matters for the characters involved; unimportant fights are left off screen or breezed through quickly to devote more time to the character conflicts that really drive the series.

If I had to pick one thing that I think is the series' greatest strength, it's the characters and their arcs. Characters are complex and multilayered, with fascinating development as they progress in some areas while backsliding in others. This lends a multidirectionality to every character's growth as different aspects of them are changing for better or for worse at a given time due to various influences. Characters will attempt to influence each other positively, helping greatly in some regards but unknowingly reinforcing their own harmful biases in the other character. Characters may appear helpful and benevolent while toying with or corrupting someone to their own ends or simply for amusement. Seeing the cast, especially Ren, get both noticeably better and noticeably worse in various ways lends a richness to the story that makes every interaction gripping to read.

The story is quite good at slowly building up to reveals and recontextualizing prior events. As mentioned above, characters have biases and the things Ren learns are filtered through those biases. Seeing things through a new lens when those biases are confronted, made clear, or shaken off is fascinating. While the early sections of the comic are less complex than later on as the author gets much more skilled at, they are fascinating to reread due to the amount of things clearly planned out and set up from very early on. Characters who are vitally important 50 chapters later will be foreshadowed from the first handful of chapters of the series, or just straight up appear if you know where to look. Characters read entirely differently when you know what they were saying honestly and what was deception, or when you know the backstory that drives them to act how they do.

The series is initially black and white, with an art style that makes a distinctive heavy use of screentone. Later on, the series transitions to full color in chapter 29. The art gets very good as the series goes on, with some very well set up page structures and paneling that is easy to read while also being dynamic and enhancing the tone of each scene. The series reads right to left by the way.

The series also has a few spinoffs of varying lengths, such as Springtime of Yuuth, an AU where Ren never got dragged off the roof that has a romance focus mixed with working through more down to earth problems in Ren's life, Watchtower and Mapmaker, following a young demon boy who lives in a tower in the desert, Falltime of Ren, a sort of crossover with SoY in which the Ren from the main series gets to spend a brief emotional time in the world of SoY before returning to hell again, The Forest, a prequel chapter exploring some of the backstory of two major characters introduced later in the story (this one costs $5 but it's 200% worth it), Yuu vs the Cosmic Unknown, which is a short goofy Scott Pilgrim parody with eldritch exes rather than evil exes, and Spirit Bathhouse, the NSFW one.

The series and its spinoffs are currently on an indefinite hiatus while the author works on getting her PhD, but the series is absolutely worth reading (and rereading and rereading again) while it's ongoing. Leave positive comments and wish the author well on their PhD if you enjoy the series!

I'm generally bad at judging these sorts of things but I guess trigger warnings for blood at some points? Rarely there's gore. TW for manipulation and gaslighting. Is that a thing people need trigger warnings for? I'm not sure.

No one asked but I thought I’d drop in and share my personal reasons for choosing to remain optimistic (in light of the recent leaks). The way I see it, I don’t lose anything more if all these rumours turn out to be false. It just feels good to potentially have something to look forward to, it doesn’t mean I’ll fall apart if it doesn’t happen. Some fans find it most beneficial to move on quickly. Others like myself are comfortable keeping an ear to the ground in case things change for the better. The assumption that I’ve been manipulated by people like you or João just because I’m choosing to filter leaks through a lens of optimism, makes me sort of uncomfortable. I’ve followed the scoop game plenty of times in the past, and I know no one can really force you to believe anything you don’t already want or need to believe yourself. I try to filter out posts that blur the lines between a preferred narrative and verifiable truth. I’ve never felt that I couldn’t distinguish that line from your posts. I also think your professional experience is evident to anyone with a lick of industry experience themselves. I recognize that professional precedent may inform an expectation for how something should logically play out, but that doesn’t mean AMC isn’t fumbling the bag. Evidently, they are, lol. I understand why people need to protect their sources. I can also tell when people don’t really have a clue what they’re posting about publicly, and it brings me a good laugh. For what it’s worth, it does feel like there is a legitimate paper trail, with seemingly credible sources coming together. I guess we’ll see how it plays out 😉

Lots of great points raised here, so thank you for sharing :’) I don’t know why I’m seeing so much effort to invalidate others’ opinions and/or info , but personally I’d rather just focus on the bottom line. Tinie Tempah is fronting a Channel 4 MOTORING show - Is TV this dry?

I'm seeing this man live. Yes, in concert. This year. I am absolutely excited to see him perform because I have been a fan of Tinie Tempah for years now, ever since I was 6 years old and blasting "Frisky" or "Pass Out" as loud as possible.

However, today's news on TVZone is that the "Disturbing London", multi-award winning, chart-topping, international superstar act.... is fronting a Channel 4 show about cars.

Whilst I have no issue with a Top Gear rival from Channel 4... (atleast, im assuming that is the audience they want to try and rival) It is the issue of out of everybody, why Tinie? After Tinie's first few series run of his own.... property show..... that was, also, on Channel 4, wouldn't this be abit jarring? It reminds me of the joke I made in 2021 whilst reviewing Tinie's property programme that it's like if Snoop Dogg started hosting Location Location Location, but let's not put it past them, I don't want to start predicting the future.

Tinie Tempah is a great lad. He's funny, witty and very understanding. Not a single bit of his ego has inflated the man as he is still open and humble... however. After building the rap image, it's tough to see him go from a hardcore rap career, all the way to showing his knowledge about cars and motors, whilst F1 analyst and stunt driver Naomi Schiff looks at the cars from the 70’s, 80’s and 90’s making a comeback too. It'll be a tough watch for sure, but I would be very curious on how this all pours out! Tinie, as I've said, is a great host, just abit weird to see the man talk so deeply about cars from a time lonnnngggg ago.

It's made me raise another question too, is TV hosting dying?

5. What’s the very first film you remember watching?

Gosh,,,,,, it's actually really hard for me to remember without having to ask my parents about it, since most of my early childhood was a blur for me, hence not remembering a lot of it!

If I had to pick, it would DEFINITELY be Winnie the Pooh cuz it was one of the only few movies back when I was three that I would actually sit down and watch!

7. A film you wish had a sequel?

Oh God, there are sososo many movies that I wished had a sequel, but for some god forsaken reason there isn't one!! It's really hard to choose just one!

Two movies I can think of at the top of my head are Over the Hedge and Chicken Little!

Over the Hedge, because I feel like there's more story to tell after all that happened in the first movie (including Tiger and Stella getting together and Tiger living in the forest with Stella) and if they can't do a sequel I would LOVE a spinoff series that takes a similar approach to what Penguins of Madagascar did!

And Chicken Little cuz I've been waiting on a promise that a Chicken Little book gave out for a sequel and it's been YEARS

Also another sequel I've been waiting on for a literal decade is one to Freaknik the Musical..... God I want that sequel bad!

8. Which book would you like to see adapted into a film?

This technically isn't a book, but I really really REALLY want a movie or TV show for Calvin and Hobbes and I've been literally begging the universe for one ever since I was little!

I know that Bill Watterson himself had he doesn't want an adaptation of Calvin and Hobbes since he never figured out a way to do so

But I feel that the 2015 Peanuts movie is the exact answer to Bill's problem! And if anyone who makes the adaption takes notes from that movie and just tries to stick to the main plot points and art style of the comics, I think it'll hold up amazingly well (the only thing is to keep the adaption for Calvin and Hobbes a 2D animated style with hardly any CGI)

I also really just want the beautiful watercolor art style of Calvin and Hobbes to come to live on the big and small screens so bad! I really wish that it does happen despite everything someday

Though the one change that I would make to a Calvin and Hobbes adaption is to give Hobbes and Susie the ability to actually talk to each other and hang out properly as a separate dynamic away from Calvin!

18. What’s your favourite biopic?

I'm not much of a biopic connoisseur, so I wouldn't know too many biopics by name

But if you like parodies of musician biopics (such as Johnny Cash's biopic)

Walk Hard: A Dewey Cox Story is one that I can highly recommend if you like obscene, silly and stupid humor starring John C Reilly and really legit good music combined, this is your movie!

If you want actual biopics, a few of my favorites are Balto (yes the animated one), Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas (pls read the book too, it's great), Joseph: King of Dreams (god the music is so good), Walk the Line (the Johnny Cash biopics I mentioned above), Notorious, Soul Surfer, Straight Outta Compton, and The Disaster Artist!

Paper Dreams

I still daydream about it.

I still go to the library and wander through the the shelves, and imagine it. Especially upstairs in the kids library. I run my eye, and sometimes my finger, across the spines, the colours and fonts and titles blurring a little sometimes when I fall into the daydream.

(I'm not sure if this is a good thing to be doing. I don't think it's wrong, per se, but there is a limit to the good of imagining things that aren't there. But the path is familiar, seeing as how every age and stage of me has dreamed this, so it's easy to wander in and out again, though much slower.)

I can see them tucked into their places, sometimes in the junior series section, other times on the YA shelf. I like to add the little white sticker at the bottom of the spine with PRE on it, though my library doesn't always do that anymore. But they're my books, so I can make them look how I want.

The titles of my books have changed over the years. Back in the old days it was nothing but horses, now it's usually hockey, with the occasional foray into spy/mystery or even fantasy.

I might pull Fury's Sons off the shelf, feel it's hardcover and thick solidity. I'd hand it to a teenage boy. "You want enemies to friends to brothers? You want swords and battles and a kingdom in the balance? Here's a good one."

Or perhaps I imagine running my finger along the even patterned march of the S.W.O.R.D. series, all red and white and black in sharp lines, good Canadian colours. (Because all the spy stories are American. Or British. So it's about time we had some of our own.)

But I always dream about the kids from Bramley.

I can see a row of titles, the whole series of when they're young, the book about the time all the power went out for a week at Christmas, or the minor midget team's run to the national championships, or the summer when a stranger showed up in the woods or when Eric got a little brother. Some of them thrilling, some of them mundane. Kids growing up in a small Canadian town.

And then there's the later stories about just Eric and Casey, playing in juniors and hanging onto themselves and each other as they get more famous and the world seems to spin faster. It doesn't have to be all mysteries and thrillers, you know. Sometimes it's nice to just read about best friends hiding out in a corner of the arena after games to video call home, or pranking their goalie by replacing his jellybeans with plastic beans, or talking softly in the dark on late night bus rides home from whatever city they happened to play in that night.

There's other spinoffs too. Maybe Mash's story, or Brady's, or Jay's. I dream I can pull them off the shelf and flip through them and read the dedications and the acknowledgements the way I wrote them. And there's the pictures on the covers, the faces of my kids.

I want to be able to say to the kids around, "Hey, try this book. Hey, you might like this." I dream about these people and these stories being in a place where anyone can read them. Not just me in my head.

I daydream paper and ink.

I drive home in the late afternoon sun, still dreamy. Simon Tolkien's The Final Witness, and Ken Dryden's The Game, lie on the passenger seat of my truck.

The sad part is, I don't think I can make that happen. I struggle to discipline myself to finish projects, and so few people seem to actually like what I write. I could never make a living off my writing, barring some Divine intervention at least. While still Eric and Casey and the rest live on in my head, growing older with each passing year. They're in the NHL now. Heading into their fourth season.

I wish I knew what to do with the daydreams. But I don't.

I still daydream about it though.

I just saw a promo piece Crunchyroll put up about Genjitsu no Yohane/Yohane of the Parhelion: Sunshine in the Mirror. For some reason, the entire comments section is taken up with complaints, often quite vitriolic, that the series didn't get a (semi-)simultaneous dub. Which is leaving me a bit confused.

Granted, I haven't watched any anime primarily via its dub since roughly 1998, so I'm absolutely not the target audience for them, but I do understand all the reasons that dubs exist and are popular. It's just that — well, given the way that the Love Live franchise intentionally blurs the line between the characters and their voice actors, and how even as a fantasy spinoff of Love Live Sunshine, GnY is a musical series that heavily features those actors singing, why on earth would it be a desirable series to have a dub of?

Kavaraa finishes her lightsaber and an opportunity arises

It had been a couple weeks but Kavaraa had finally got all the parts together for her new saber, she hadn’t heard from Theron in that time and was starting to worry but understood they had to be scarce. Master Syo had limited parts but she’d managed to pick out some nice parts she thought would make a good hilt, it was much more ornamental than her least hilt which she was excited about.

She laid the parts across the workbench and placed the black crystal in between them, she was a little nervous she hadn’t wielded a lightsaber since she fought Vaylin, the vision of losing so badly still fresh in her brain she didn’t know if she was ready. But Master Yuon believed in her and she trusted her Kavaraa closed her eyes and focussed on each of the parts, she calmed her mind thinking of the order and all that she’d done and what she was doing this for. She thought of how far Arcann had come and the strides they’d taken and then she thought of Theron she knew he’d be ok he’d promised, she took a deep breath as the parts came together and slotted into place.

She opened her eyes and saw the saberstaff floating in front of her, she took it and turned it on, the black blade shot out a quiet hum echoing in the workshop illuminated in a faint pink light. She spun it around in a quick flourish, feeling natural in her hand and smiled she had to admit she had missed this, she was about to turn it off when she heard someone open the door.

Arcann walked in and was startled trying to hide something he was holding “Master K-Kavaraa I-I didn’t realise you were in here” he tried to hide it behind him but wasn’t very good at it

Kavaraa frowned at him “yeah I was building myself a new lightsaber” she gestured to it “do you like it?” she held it out she had to admit she was quite proud

Arcann nodded “yes it’s quite pretty, I think it represents you very well” he smiled still holding something behind his back

Kavaraa raised her eyebrow “so Arcann are you going to tell me what’s behind your back” Arcann’s eyes widened but he quickly conceded knowing he couldn’t hide it

He took a set of armour out from behind him “Busted, I guess I can give it to you now though I was planning on waiting until I was ready” he showed the armour set it looked much like the knight of Zakuul’s armour only in Kavaraa’s colours “I wanted to make you something to thank you for all your help and I noticed you didn’t have any armour and I didn’t want you getting hurt so I made you some armour, do you like the colour?” Kavaraa’s mouth hung open she’d never gotten a gift like this

She smiled taking it “I love it Arcann thank you so much” she put it on over her jumpsuit “wow it fits like a glove” Arcann nodded smiling before Kavaraa pulled him into a tight hug “thanks so much Arcann” Arcann was completely surprised

He fidgeted awkwardly “uh ah um thanks you’re welcome” Kavaraa continued to hug him as he struggled “I felt like I had to repay you for all you’ve done” Kavaraa let him go with a smile

Kavaraa beamed at him “thanks Arcann this is very sweet” she cocked her head “how are you feeling about going back” Arcann took a deep sigh

He looked at her “I… I’m prepared to do it, I’m not better by any means but Master Syo has taught me how to let go of my grief when it surfaces, I will be able to help” Kavaraa smiled she was proud of how far he’d come

Kavaraa put a hand on his shoulder “I’ll be right here don’t worry you can count on me, I just hope you can get through to Nox” Arcann nodded folding his arms

He frowned “that is going to be tough but I think she’ll come around with the right pushing” Kavaraa nodded and was about to respond when Theron’s comm lit up

Kavaraa gasped quickly answering “Theron is that you I haven’t spoken to you in weeks is everything ok???” she was more frantic than she realised

Theron responded “I’m really sorry about that I couldn’t communicate with the rest of the galaxy, it’s a long story but the long and short of it is we got the gravestone back and dealt with SCORPIO” that was a long story she didn’t know where to begin

Arcann spoke up “and my sister I sensed her in conflict?” Kavaraa frowned he hadn’t told her that

Kavaraa clarified “oh yeah Theron, Arcann is here” Kavaraa realised this would be damming if they were traced but it was a little late for that

Theron sighed “right well yes she’s fine she escaped back to the throne while the Commander dealt with SCORPIO” Kavaraa assumed that meant death knowing Nox

Kavaraa breathed a sigh of relief “SCORPIO was the brains behind Vaylin’s operation without her she’s likely to slip up” she hoped anyway

Theron chuckled “that’s exactly right and well we’re taking advantage of that as Vaylin is throwing a party at Zakuul and we’re going to infiltrate it and try to corner her” Kavaraa’s eyes widened this could be it “and I was thinking we wouldn’t mind a little backup in the form of Arcann” Arcann looked to Kavaraa for her opinion

Arcann held his chin “I could but I’m not quite sure if I’m ready what do you think” Kavaraa nodded with a smile

She responded “He’s doing much better I think he could handle it and I would say helping the Alliance corner Vaylin is just about the most convincing thing you can do” Arcann nodded definitely agreeing with that

Theron seemed to agree too “Yes that’s one of the reasons I called, I will say I don’t think the commander would be able to accept you both at once so Kavaraa I’m sorry but we may need to wait on you” Kavaraa breathed a sigh of relief she was about to suggest the same

Kavaraa agreed “oh absolutely I was gonna say the same thing” she was glad they were on the same wavelength and she didn’t have to fight Vaylin

Theron seemed satisfied “Ok great I’ll send you the coordinates and time and look after yourselves, both of you” Kavaraa smiled as the comm shut off

Kavaraa turned to Arcann “are you sure you’re ready for this?” Arcann took a long deep breath

He nodded “yes I think so, I can’t keep living in isolation if I am truly to forgive myself I must return to the real world” Kavaraa smiled she was proud of how far he’d come but was a little worried still “and this plan your boyfriend has come up with sounds like a good idea using Vaylin’s ego against her” Kavaraa went turquoise did everyone think they were dating?

Kavaraa shook her head “Arcann he’s not my boyfriend we’re just friends nothing like that has happened I mean I don’t even know if he’d like it” Arcann frowned at her

He took a second “sorry I just assumed because the way you talk about him, how you worry and your closeness I do apologize” Kavaraa looked away embarrassed even emotionally stunted Arcann realised she liked Theron was she that obvious. Arcann continued “Anyway I believe I’m ready to face my sister I’ll give her a chance to stop this… but I understand that with the power she has it’s unlikely we can sway her” Arcann looked away sad

Kavaraa put a hand on his shoulder “are you ready for that eventuality” Arcann looked down not making eye contact for a second

He nodded “I have to be, I’m as much to blame as everyone else I’ll try my best to but that’s all I can do” Kavaraa comforted him, she personally didn’t know what she’d do about Vaylin she was still so scared by her so it was hard to think rationally

Kavaraa took his hand “come on if we’re leaving we have to say goodbye to Master Syo” she led him to Master Syo’s house where he was making tea

He looked over and smiled “ah Kavaraa, Arcann care to join me for tea” Kavaraa would never pass up an opportunity like that

She nodded “sure but we’ve actually come to talk to you” Master Syo raised his eyebrow “Arcann is needed to help with the fight against the eternal empire so this may be goodbye for now” Master Syo nodded his smile not wavering

He sipped his tea “I’m glad he feels ready to go back out, I must say even though I was clambering for you to leave when you got here I’ll miss the both of you” Kavaraa smiled she felt much better now that she came here

Arcann took his tea “I’ll miss you too Master Syo you’ve taught me so much I owe you a lot” Master Syo shook his head dismissing the comment

He lightly laughed “no no you don’t owe me anything I’m merely making up for my past mistakes we really helped each other” Kavaraa sipped her tea that was probably true

Kavaraa smiled at him warmly “I’ll miss you Master Syo you’ll always be one of my greatest teachers I owe you a lot, I hope when this is all over I can see you again” Master Syo seemed touched by the words while still sipping the tea quietly

Master Syo smiled “that would be nice I think I’d like that” they all sat in silence for a few more seconds

Kavaraa broke the silence “I guess we should get going thanks for everything Master Syo” he nodded as they left the chamber and headed back towards their ship, she wasn’t quite sure how this mission would go but it could be the start of saving the alliance and the commander...
