One of the great things about doing most of my reading on Libby is that if I’m uncertain about DNFing something it only takes 2 seconds of willpower to hit the return early button and then I have no choice, oops, so sorry, gonna have to come back later (aka forget about it).

what is my problem? well, starting to revise philosophy and saying "dostoevsky" instead of "aristotle". that's my problem.
[it's because I finished to read the adolescent this morning, here's why and because I don't like philosophy at all, especially aristotle]

Buying Books on a Budget
Something we are ALWAYS struggling with is our need to constantly be buying books—whether they’re new, old, special editions, hardcovers… ANYTHING. The urge is strong. But it’s not always easy when there are other things to spend money on… like mortgage and food. And there are few things a book nerd avoids more than math. But in this case, it’s necessary. Have you ever had that moment in a book…

From "Bookworm Problems" by Anne Vogel:
"You're at a killer used book sale and can't remember if you already own a certain title. You decide you do and come home. You were wrong and regret your lost chance. You decide you don't and come home and shelve your newly purchased third copy. You accidentally buy two of the same book at the book sale.
You have more books than shoes. You have more books than bookshelves. You do some quick math and realize how much money is tied up in your book collection. You suspect your books equal the gross domestic product of a small nation.
You accept that it's time to cull your personal library. You lovingly handle each book, determining if it brings you joy. It does. They all do. You are full of bookish joy, but still woefully short on shelf space."
