I’ve said before that I just don’t know exactly why I associate yellow butterflies with Punk but I was just thinking about it and “having yellow butterflies” sounds like a really good euphemism for having to pee really bad and isn’t that just beautifully circular?

I love how the big bad is one of the most confused people in this whole ordeal is the big bad.

Major villains who have complete control over everything and mastermind literally the whole plot are out, and major villains who are absolutely flabbergasted by the heroes and just out of the depths in how fucked everything is going for them are in.

let trans men&mascs romanticize testosterone.
keep your “you’re not going to look like an anime boy or whatever, you’re just going to look like your dad” to yourself.
keep your “but what about the balding and the acne and the anger problems and the gross hair everywhere and the horrible painful bottom growth and and and” to yourself.
keep your “once you look like a man you will scare people and you can never stop thinking about that” to yourself.
keep your “testosterone is poison and don’t you dare even suggest that saying that might hurt you” to yourself.
we are not obligated to take on your fears and traumas around testosterone as our own, nor are we obligated to let them influence our relationship with it.
we are not obligated to sit here in a world that heavily restricts and constantly threatens our access to it and listen silently as you contribute to stigma around it.
we’re already tired of watching cis society as a whole try to rip it away from us; we don’t need fellow trans people and supposed allies giving credence to their cause.
for many of us testosterone is life-saving medicine, it’s liquid gold, it’s the nectar and ambrosia of the fucking gods.
is it so hard to just let us have that? to let us believe that and say it and celebrate it without being given a million reasons to question it? is that really too much to ask?
if you can find it in your heart to let other trans people romanticize their transitions, i promise you can let us do it to.
testosterone is a beautiful thing. it makes people hotter and even more importantly it makes them happier and anyone who wants it should be able to have it because it’s so life-changing and magical and wonderful and incredibly important to so many people who deserve the happiness it offers.

watched the first dr who special episode and while there were a few lines that made me cringe, i do think a little bit of cringe is a reasonable price to pay for seeing a black trans girl get a starring role in the longest-running and arguably the most famous sci-fi show in history

IDK who needs to hear this, but Egon and Ray aren't the only autistic og ghostbusters
Peter is too
Your telling me this man with two PhDs related to psychology, who always has the exact right thing to say to manipulate a situation to his favour (when it's a planned/known situation), but cocks up massively when it's an unknown situation, who has a massive reaction to getting slimed (more so than the others), who would rather joke all the time than take a situation seriously because wtf should he say
you're telling me this man is neurotypical?
nah
Winston's the only NT in this group (idk how he deals with these weirdos (affectionate))

Steddie Upside-Down AU Part 89
Part 1 Part 88
Listening to only one side of the conversation would drive Eddie insane if he wasn’t already. It’s worse because he’s not sure if Steve is even answering back. If he even can. Supergirl’s just vague enough that he can’t tell if she’s just trying to reassure a silent, suffocating Steve.
What if he’s still there, just choking? But, no. That was the Upside-Down. Now that the thing is here in Steve, is he still there at all? Or is he trapped in the small corner of his mind that he has left?
Still, Eddie chokes out a wet laugh when El’s lips tick up as she says, “Eddie calls me Supergirl.” She’ll always be his Supergirl. Even if she can’t help this time.
She looks so young, even with the eyeliner smudged all around her eyes and the slicked back hair. In her black trench coat she’s badass and metal and so goddamn small Eddie wants to throw up about it.
She’ll always be Supergirl. It hangs over her brows as a weight she carries, a weight they keep adding onto with every plea for help.
All that drifts away when she asks, “how do we help?” That’s not a question you ask someone who can’t answer. The wait  between words stretches beyond credulity for Eddie. Everyone’s looking at Steve like he’ll open his mouth and speak.
It’s El’s voice that cuts in. Eddie gasps with it. “Make you warm?”
His neck hurts with the speed he turns his head to meet Will’s gaze. “He likes it cold,” Will whispers. “That’s what he said.”
Eddie opens his mouth, ready to speak before he thinks, but then El says, “I will save you,” voice floaty, like she’s waking up from a dream. “Stay here while we come.”
El’s removing the half-assed blindfold from her eyes when Eddie looks back toward her, smiling softly as she says, “he recognized me.”
Eddie, knee walks toward her, desperate and wanting. He can feel a bit of glass stuck in his knee, but he doesn’t stop. Can’t. “Stay where?” he demands, hands out like he wants to shake El before he curls them into stupid, futile fists. “Is he okay?”
“He is where he is last time,” El says before raising her hand and tapping the top of Steve’s head gently, running her fingers through his hair as she says, “but in here.”
It takes Eddie a second to connect “last time” to anything tangible. As usual, Will beats him.
“He’s in his closet?”
El nods. “Yes, with clothes.” She runs her fingers through Steve’s hair one final time before dropping her hand and standing. “He said to make him warm.”
“And that’ll fix him?” It’s Perkins who answers, clearly done with being left in the dark. Eddie can’t blame her.
El stands, staring at Steve the whole time. It takes her too long to answer. “No, he will come back.”
“Who’s he?” Perkins demands. Everyone else already knows. It’s written in the silence. In the way the van’s so silent that no one is even breathing. “Hello?”
“Gotta break the connection. Close the gate,” Wayne says. He’s gruff and quiet, looking down at El like he’d rather be anywhere else than asking a little girl for a little salvation. “Can you do it?”
El meets his eyes. Eddie wants to hug her, or strangle her, or stuff them all into his trunk and flee the state and hope that’s enough to save them. But then El nods, walking out of the van with too much purpose for anyone to stop her. She turns back around, looking at all of them stuffed into the too-small van.
“I will close the gate,” she says, looking from face to face to face before asking, “where is Hop?”
“Oh, sweetie,” Mama Byers says, following her out of the van so she can engulf her in a hug El doesn’t return. “He was in the lab.”
El flinches back at the word “lab,” flinches back further when Lucas explains, halting and nervous about the Demodogs that had overrun it. Then something steals over her, resolves into a determination that shines.
“I am going,” she says, ignoring Mama Byers beseeching hands as she turns and starts walking away, like she’s going to hike all the way there on foot. Frodo Baggins without even a Samwise Gamgee.
Everyone flutters out of the van. Eddie stays by Steve and Will’s side, watching it all unfold.
It’s Mike that gets her to stop because of course it is. “We’ll go with you!”
El turns around, hope shining in her eyes. Wayne cuts through it like a scalpel through vocal chords.
“No,” he says, quiet, but harsh enough to make El stumble back. Eddie can’t see his face, but his hands are raised placatingly in that same spooked horse stance he’d used a lot when Eddie first moved in with him, and then later, when Steve did, too. “None of ya kids are going with ‘er.”
All the kids protest except Max, who’s frowning between everyone, unsure of who’s side to stand on.
“She can’t go alone!” Dustin says, putting his hands on his hips in a perfect imitation of Steve every time he’s on kid wrangling duty and fed up.
Wayne copies the stance, much more effectively at his stature, and replies, “I’m going with ‘er.” When Dustin opens his mouth to further complain, he turns away toward Barbara and asks, “don’t s’pose I can borrow your car?”
Barbara throws the keys toward him without a noise of complaint. Wayne walks toward El, looping his arm around her shoulders and leading her toward the car. “C’mon, kid,” he says, squeezing her into his side. “Gotta stop by the trailer for a couple a’ guns.”
El nods, looks back at them, meeting Eddie’s eyes to say, “keep him warm.”
Like the words break a spell on him, Eddie bolts from the van, tugging his connection on Steve to make sure he stays during their separation. Wayne almost loses his footing when Eddie barrels into his back, arms clutching at his chest tight enough to hurt.
“Stay safe, old man.”
Wayne huffs, reaching back to ruffle Eddie’s greasy hair. Eddie tucks his nose into Wayne’s neck, holds onto him for a second longer before letting go.
Wayne doesn’t turn around, but he stands still just for a second, like he can still feel the warmth of Eddie’s arms. He sounds choked up when he says, “you too, son,” before walking away without turning back.
Eddie watches as the pair get in the car and drive away, feeling oddly bereft.
He’s got all these people now, who love him and he loves back. But Uncle Wayne was the first, always.
He better come back.

I've always been sympathetic to Luke, but the prequels' Skywalker backstory definitely makes me more so.
I've heard people dismiss him for playing with an old toy while complaining about being made to stay on a desert hellworld dominated by slave-owning gangsters, since Leia's a hardened revolutionary at the same time.
I think Luke's dislike of Tatooine is actually entirely legitimate based on the OT alone, given what he likely knows, but then it turns out that the slave-owning gangsters owned Luke's father and grandmother.
Luke doesn't know anything about Padmé and he doesn't have Leia's visions of her, so he has no sense of a legacy from lush Naboo or the apparently prosperous Naberries. His world is Tatooine and the legacy he's intensely conscious of is Anakin's, and Owen and Beru's. And I mean, Owen is Luke's uncle because Owen's father bought Luke's grandmother and freed her to marry her. She was later captured from the farm and tortured to death; Luke would see her memorial on a regular basis as he helps extract moisture on the farm.
He has every right to complain about being stuck on Tatooine—and always did IMO, but after the prequels? Whew.

I feel like moments like these are important. It solidifies that after everything he has been through in Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask, he is still a child. In OOT, he really was a child trapped in an adults body.
He doesn't consider himself a grown-up and doesn't really understand what's going on in the Anju and Kafei sidequest. He isn't motivated by the stakes or to help two lovers reunite but rather to just help for the sake of it.
Tumblr media
In Great Bay, there are, unfortunately, a bunch of weirdos. He looks at a Zora man weird, but I think rather than just finding him gross, he doesn't get it as seen in the Fish Wish sidequest. He finds them weird, but he doesn't have a full understanding of it. This showcases his innocence in the game.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Along with that, there's also a moment where Sakon the thief tries to take advantage of Link. He talks about Link's sword and how cool it is, gives advice, and compliments the sword again, asking to just see it. It's obviously suspicious to the player, but if Link says yes, Tatl immediately gets hostile and attacks Sakon to drive him away instead of letting Link hand over his sword. If Link says no but tries to talk to him again, Tatl will immediately become hostile at Sakon anyway. I feel like this can show how niave Link can be.
There's also when Link receives a Keaton mask. He doesn't really get the meaning behind it and doesn't think accepting it if it makes sense, but he does it anyway. This doesn't really further any points other than he really is just a niave kid going through the motions.
Tumblr media
Point is Majora's Mask highlights how he is still a child at heart. He thinks and acts like one still after Ocrina of Time. He didn't just grow up when he was asleep for 7 years. After everything he's been through, he's still him: a child.

I don’t know where junior f1 drivers find the audacity to throw hate around against F1 drivers, just because they seem to think they deserve those seats more.
To publicly spread hate for a driver when you’re vying for their seat is shitty behavior as a person, and also incredibly stupid pr-wise. I’ve seen some excuses made for Bianca because “she’s young” “she’s only 18” but coming from someone who is the same age as her, she should know better. She isn’t a child and there isn’t an excuse on Earth that makes her hate towards Lance and her ableism okay.
I wonder why it’s always Lance, too. First Drugovich now Bianca Bustamante. I know he gets flak for being a “pay driver” or a nepo baby, but people love to act as if he’s the only one who got into F1 through money and connections when he isn’t. Some of the most loved drivers on the grid got where they are from momey and connections, but Lance is the only driver I ever see get hate for it.
At the very least, I’m glad to see people are recognizing her behavior for being as bad as it is instead of brushing it off. Both because of her ablelist language, and because most of the time when I see Lance recieve hate no one really acknowledges it.

Finally listened to Dylan Mulvaney's song and?? I don't get the negative hype about it, it was frankly a cute song. Also the "playin' catch-up 'cause we missed the pre-game" made me laugh, it was a good line. Dylan, you've done it again!

Rewatching succession it really is wild to see Kendall and Shiv convince themselves over and over again that they can "fix ATN/Waystar from the inside" only to completely abandon their morals the minute it gives them a strategic advantage.
When they're on the outside it's an endless diatribe about how evil and rotten the company is to its core, but the second they get the slightest whiff of power they suddenly decide the problems are actually really manageable and that with the right leadership it could be a force for good, and like...the saddest part is that they genuinely seem to believe that.

#Fuyuhiko kuzuryu#peko pekoyama#Sdr2#Super danganronpa 2#Danganronpa 2#Danganronpa#danganronpa goodbye despair#kuzupeko#GONNA RANT NOW#Imo their relationship has always been tragically messy and complicated#Baseline: they care a lot about each other. Raised together but definitely not as family since Peko was raised as staff at best.#Seemingly very isolated since Fuyuhiko admits he's never had friends and Peko seems very socially inexperienced.#Possibly only rly hung out with Natsumi who also was raised in their messy little household. And then she dies#So they got each other and they're VERY reliant on each other BUT#Peko is raised as an inferior person and I 100% believe she knew she was only brought into the family for a purpose#If she loses that purpose she loses everything. Like the household has her under a thumb#Fuyuhiko is raised in his much more affluent but still fucked up way where he thinks he has to be so tough and macho and-#-his life is second to his parents' BUT much much higher in value than Peko's#Peko can't be Fuyuhiko's friend bc she's not raised to be his equal to the point where she doesn't rly believe it herself#Fuyuhiko can't allow that because it's not in him to regard her (or any other person as examples w the Izuru chat thing) as less than him#But he can't convince her otherwise either because he IS raised not to care and to accept his role and be an authority#And like it or not he is her boss#Endless cycle of being all the other has and being unable to fulfill their needs but trying anyway#Neither one is wrong neither is right nobody wins. Anyway#If you read all that gold star for you ☆
