One of the best things about Central Park is that it is free to enter and enjoy. You don't have to pay any central park entrance fee to access the park's 843 acres of greenery, waterways, trails, and attractions. You can simply walk, bike, or take public transportation to one of the many entrances around the park and start exploring. Some of the park's attractions and activities might have a fee or a reservation requirement. Here are some of the park's features and activities that make Central Park worth visiting:
The Central Park Zoo: This is a small but charming zoo that houses a variety of animals, such as penguins, sea lions, monkeys, bears, and more. The zoo also has a children's zoo, a 4-D theater, and a gift shop. The zoo is open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. (or 5:30 p.m. on weekends and holidays). The admission fee is $13.95 for adults, $10.95 for seniors (65+), and $8.95 for children (3-12). Children under 3 are free.
The Conservatory Garden: This is a beautiful formal garden that features three styles: English, French, and Italian. The garden has colorful flowers, fountains, sculptures, and a pergola. The garden is open daily from 8 a.m. to dusk. The entrance fee is $8 per person.
The Loeb Boathouse: This is a lakeside restaurant that offers dining, boating, and biking options. You can rent a rowboat or a kayak for $15 per hour (plus a $20 deposit) and enjoy the scenic views of the lake and the skyline. You can also rent a bike for $15 per hour (plus a $10 deposit) and explore the park's paths and trails. The boathouse is open daily from 10 a.m. to dusk (weather permitting).
The Carousel: This is a historic and fun ride that features 57 hand-carved horses and two chariots. The carousel is one of the largest and oldest in the country, dating back to 1871. The carousel is open daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. (weather permitting). The ride fee is $3 per person.
Central Park is a wonderful place to visit for travelers of all ages and interests. You can enjoy the park's beauty, history, culture, and fun without spending much money or any Central Park entrance fee at all. Just remember to follow the park's rules and regulations and respect the park's environment and wildlife. Have a great time in Central Park!

Wollman Rink, Central Park, 1954. This is a photograph, although it looks like a painting.

Note: I seem to have screwed up my queue for the last few days, but I think everything is now OK.
