Not much of anything really lol
Janus startled at the sound of a whimpering Remus.
It had been completely quiet in the living room prior to. Janus had mostly had a quiet morning to himself. He had assumed Remus must have been sleeping in when he walked into the kitchen bleerily that morning, and found that there wasn’t a giant mess waiting for him. Remus almost always woke up before Janus. Where Janus needed 10 hours of sleep to be a fully functioning serpent, Remus only needed about 3 to completely terorrize the day. Janus didn’t mind the absence though, not just because it meant he wouldn’t have to chase Remus down in order to get him to snap away the mess. He wasn’t worried if Remus slept in a bit, it was probably well warranted.
The rest of the morning had been like that. Janus found time to make himself breakfast, coffee, and when he was done eating, he had curled up on the couch and started reading. He hadn’t even been suspicious once of why Remus wasn’t awake, but now, seeing his obviously little one in tears, he sort of wished he had.
“What’s wrong?” Janus asked, figuring something must be wrong if it has Remus in such shambles. Remus shook his head and wobbled over to Janus, eyes fixated on where his head would find rest on Janus’s chest a few seconds later
“Hey, it’s okay.” Janus comforted, cradling Remus’s head when he laid down on him, though Janus didn’t not feel envy for his joints as he bent down to be lower that Janus as much as he could be. Remus whimpered and hid himself further into Janus.
“Shh, come here.” He said softly, hoping to convince his little one to get into a more comfortable position. Remus let out a whine from the back of his throat and pressed himself even further in Janus, as if he meant to phase through his shirt and found skin to skin contact.
“I know, I know.” Janus placated. In reality, he didn’t know. He wasn’t sure why Remus was suddenly so upset. He couldn’t recall any incidents happening earlier in the week. Not that something had to go wrong in order for Remus to regress, that’s just what usually caused it. Sometimes Remus found fun in playing little for a while, but he had once confessed that regression could be scary at times. How can something feel so little and still deal with the horrors of being an adult?
Remus whimpered once more.

Bears Aren't Green! ...Or Are They?
Summary: Logan doesn't understand why Patton is colouring his bear green. In point of fact, bears aren't green! But what if it's an imaginary bear? Can they be green?
Warnings: A meltdown scene, not super graphic, but it is a meltdown
A/N: Agere Logan, Roman and Patton angst-turned-fluff with a slice of tween!agere Remus because yes :3
Logan, Roman and Patton were all colouring together. Logan was colouring a picture of a spaceship, Roman was colouring in a little prince, and Patton's picture was a bear. Logan was colouring his picture the same colours as his toy spaceship, blue and red, because it made sense. Roman was colouring the prince's cape red, and the crown yellow. That made sense too. What didn't make sense, however, was that Patton was colouring his bear green.
"In point of fact, bears aren't green," Logan stated. Patton looked up from his paper.
"They're usually brown or black. Or white. But never green," Logan continued. Patton turned to Roman, unsure what to do.
"You can colour your bear green if you want to, Patton," Roman assured the youngest one.
"But they're not green!" Logan argued. He was getting frustrated, not understanding how a bear could possibly be green.
"Imaginary bears can be green, Logan," Roman explained. Logan frowned.
"But... It's wrong! He's colouring it wrong!" Logan pointed to Patton. At this point, the youngest one had stopped colouring the bear. He didn't want to make Logan upset by doing it wrong. He hugged his frog plushie close to his chest, silent tears dwelling in his eyes.
"You're making Patton upset, Logan," Roman reprimanded, moving closer to Patton so that he could give him a hug.
"But bears aren't green!" Logan crossed his arms stubbornly.
"Patton can colour his bear whatever colour he wants to, Logan!" Roman jumped to the youngest one's defense.
"But... Bears aren't green! He's doing it wrong!" Logan repeated his previous argument, too frustrated and confused to be able to come up with a new one.
"You can't do it wrong, there's no rules to colouring!" Roman argued. Logan didn't know how to put his thoughts into words anymore. Instead, he huffed, frustrated tears dwelling into his eyes. Roman sighed. It was his duty, as the oldest, to settle this. Only...he didn't know how.
"Logan, why do you care so much about what colour the bear is?" he asked. He wanted to understand the middle one's point of view.
"Not green," Logan muttered, his frustration and confusion limiting his vocabulary.
"Why not?"
"Not! Green!" Logan yelled, grabbing the green crayon and chucking it with all his might. It went flying to the wall, and split in half.
"Logan! You know we don't throw stuff!" Roman reprimanded, as Patton hid behind the oldest Little.
"What's going on here, what's all this ruckus?" Janus asked from the doorway, having been alerted by the noise.
"Not! Green! Not! Green! Not! Green!" Logan kept repeating like a broken record, banging his temples with his fists.
"We were colouring, and then Logan got upset because bears aren't green, and then Patton got upset that Logan got upset, and now I don't know what to do!" Roman explained, the pressure getting him to tear up now as well.
"I'm sure you did your best, my little prince. Let the grown-ups handle it now," Janus gently pet Roman's head. The snake summoned Virgil for help, and with that, the caregivers set to help the Littles. Virgil took Logan to his designated Quiet Room to calm down, meanwhile Janus stayed in the nursery with Roman and Patton.
"Think you could tell me what got you so upset?" Virgil asked the now calmed down Logan. They were both sitting on bean bags, and fidgeting with Tangles. Virgil's was black and purple, whereas Logan's was metallic indigo. Logan also had a weighted lap pad on his lap.
"Not green," Logan muttered.
"Bears aren't green?" Virgil confirmed, having been filled in on what had happened by Janus. Logan nodded.
"Did it confuse you that Patton was colouring his bear green?" Virgil asked.
"Not green!"
"Alright, I hear you. And you're right, real bears aren't green," Virgil spoke gently. Logan nodded again, keeping his eyes to his Tangle. He was glad someone was understanding him.
"But you know, the cool thing about imaginary bears is that they can be whatever colour you want! Even green," the emo continued.
"If you want to colour your pictures accurate to the real world, that's totally cool. But if Patton wants to colour his pictures differently, that's okay too. Right?" Virgil concluded. Logan nodded hesitantly. The caregiver didn't fail to catch that.
"Tell me what's going on in that little head of yours," he said. Logan stayed quiet, tensing slightly.
"Is it hard to put it into words?" Virgil sympathised. Logan nodded, relaxing again.
"How about this?" Virgil pulled out his phone, opening it to an AAC app that he had installed. He offered it to Logan, but to his surprise, the boy shook his head.
"No?" the caregiver asked. Logan shook his head again. Virgil pocketed his phone, not quite sure how to go from here. For a moment, they both sat in silence, fidgeting with their respective Tangles.
"Why green?" Logan suddenly broke the silence.
"Oh, why did Patton colour his bear green?" Virgil confirmed Logan's question again, receiving a nod in response.
"Hm, well, I don't know. Do you think he needs a reason?" the emo gently encouraged Logan to think. The child thought for a moment, before shrugging uncertainly.
"Could he have wanted to colour his bear like Clover?" Virgil helped out. Logan processed for a moment before nodding slightly. It did make sense that Patton would want to colour the bear like his plushie. The small Logic's eyebrows furrowed as his shoulders slumped, his gaze fixating somewhere between his lap and the Tangle between his fingers. Virgil took note of this.
"What's wrong?" he gently asked. Logan didn't answer right away, needing some time to collect his swarming thoughts.
"M I... M I bad?" he mumbled, looking up in the caregiver's eyes for just a moment before averting his gaze again, eye contact still being too uncomfortable.
"No, of course you're not bad, bud! You just got confused is all, mistakes happen," Virgil assured the little boy.
"Don't like making mistakes..."
"Aw, I know. But you know, you could fix it by apologising to Patton." Logan perked up slightly at Virgil's suggestion.
"How?"
"I might have an idea," Virgil smiled surreptitiously.
Some time passed before Virgil and Logan returned to the nursery room. Patton and Roman were contently building a castle out of some blocks, Patton mainly cuddling with Clover and occasionally handing Roman a block. The youngest one was surrounded by plushies, amongst them the frog from earlier. Janus was watching over the two with Remus by his side, the latter having regressed to a tween and now entertaining himself with his iPad.
"Patton? Logan has something he'd like to say to you," Virgil gently announced their entrance. Patton tentatively looked up as everyone else was snapped out of their bubbles too.
"Um," Logan started, cluthing a piece of paper and a green crayon behind his back.
"Go on, it's okay," the caregiver encouraged softly.
Logan took a careful step forward, taking a deep breath.
"I'm– I'm sorry!" he blurted out, taking another breath before continuing; "I'm not as good as Ro-Ro, but... here," he held out the card from behind his back. Patton reached for the card, curiously looking it over. When he noticed that there was text, he held it out to Roman.
"Ead?" he mumbled behind his pacifier.
"Of course I'll read it for you!" the prince said, taking the card in his own hands and holding it so that the both of them could see.
"It says: 'I'm sorry I made you upset. I didn't mean to. I didn't understand you wanted to colour Clover.' signed, Logan," Roman read outloud.
"And look! It's you and Clover!" the six-year-old pointed to the picture Logan had drawn, receiving a happy noise and a few hand flaps from the two-year-old.
"And... I'm sorry I broke the crayon. Vee helped me get you a new one. It's the exact same colour as Clover, so you can colour a new picture of her," Logan spoke nervously, holding out the new green crayon. Patton carefully took the crayon, carefully looking it over.
"What do we say?" Roman prompted softly.
"Ankoo!" Patton squeaked, before carefully standing up and toddling to Logan, holding out his arms. The four-year-old opened his arms, letting the toddler collide into him.
"Wuvoo!" the two-year-old declared, squeezing Logan tightly. Logan had to process for a moment before realising to answer the hug. He smiled in relief, his eyes glistening slightly.
"...I love you too."

Roman was peacefully sleeping until the bed shifted under him. He jumped awake, ready to summon his sword, until he realized it was only Janus. He had crawled into bed with him, freezing upon realizing Roman was awake.
"Oh, little snakeling," Roman murmured. "What brings you here in the middle of the night?"
"Nightmare," he whispered. "Made me regress, 'n' I needed you."
"Oh, you poor thing. Do you need cuddles?"
Janus nodded, and Roman gathered his little into his arms. He ran a hand up and down his back, whispering words of comfort.
"It's alright now, little one. I've got you."

DO NOT INTERACT IF YOU ARE VIEWING THIS CONTENT AS SEXUAL.
MAIN: @transfemlogan (SFW, but sometimes has content not suitable for children (ex. cursing, etc))
The name's Revenge or Revy. Any neopronouns. I am an 19 year old black and latino disabled queer.
I am not an age regressor, nor am I a caregiver, but age regression is a small special interest of mine! I really enjoy agere sanders sides content and wanted a blog to post and reblog agere content within the fandom, as I have a hard time finding some. All agere, petre, & other types of regression welcome here!
I am a big fan of age regressor Logan with CG Janus and/or Virgil and that will be primarily what I talk about, but this blog will have all sorts of dynamics.
Asks are always open. Let me know if you need something tagged.

Day 15: Candy
“Wait, Logan, one more time, where are we going?” Thomas asked as he was dragged through the mindscape, a sensation he was still only recently getting used to.
“Lost the last big person to chocolate.” Logan explained as he readjusted the falling goggles on his face. Yeah, that’s what Logan had said a minute ago, and it still clarified nothing for Thomas.
“Logan, what are you--”
“Pat! I got him!” Logan interrupted, pulling Thomas into a living room. And for all Thomas’s initial confusion, upon seeing the living room, it felt like it cleared up fairly quickly.
Sitting in various locations in the living room were some of the sides, clearly in various states of regression and sitting in front of bags of Halloween candy. Thomas had known that some of his sides had planned on regressing and trick-or-treating, so that wasn’t all that surprising. What was a shock was that all of them seemed to have regressed!
Firstly, the twins were seated near the television on the floor. Thomas could clearly hear them arguing over who had gotten the most candy. Thomas had known those two were going to be little together the moment the idea had been brought up. The twins enjoyed being little together, much to the chagrin of whoever was in charge of them, since they tended to get into baby fights.
“I got 340 pieces of candy, and you only got 320! That means I got more!” Roman argued as Remus ripped open a mini bag of skittles.
“Nuh uh ‘cause you’re not counting all these!” Remus argued back just as he managed to get the bag open, sending a skittles rolling off in every which way.
“That’s not how that works!” Roman disputed, but dug through his own pillowcase and pulled out a pack of skittles himself and started opening it as Remus crawled around the room, looking for his loose candy.
He crawled all the way to Virgil, who was sitting on the floor by the couch. Even from his distance, Thomas could see how sticky Virgil’s hand looked. As some of the skittles rolled towards Virgil, the little one squealed and picked them off the floor and--
“No no, baby, yucky!” Thomas hurried over attempting to intervene, but Virgil was already putting floor candy in his mouth, smiling happily and humming in delight. Remus whined.
“Roman! He ate some of mine! It still counts!” Remus complained as he crawled back. As Thomas approached, Virgil smiled up at him sweetly, holding up his bag.
“Tho! Loo’!” Virgil held up the bag for Thomas to look inside, mostly finding a lot of loose candy and already opened packaging. Thomas smiled down at the toddler, though it was a bit strained.
“Did you eat all that candy already, Vee?” Thomas asked, kneeling down.
“No, Janus and him shared a bag.” Logan explained. He had walked over and held in his hand a wet napkin. Thomas took in gratefully and began to clean up the sticky mess from Virgil’s hand and face, much to the little one’s distress.
“Vee was too scared to go up to the houses, so he and Janus shared.” Logan explained. Thomas peered over at his Logical side as he spoke, wondering if he was still regressed or not.
“What about you? Where’s your candy?” Thomas asked as he finished cleaning up his anxiety. Virgil whined when Thomas wasn’t looking at him anymore, and started to pat his face.
“I don’t like candy.” Logan admitted. “So I gave it t’Patton.” He explained. Thomas nodded, but didn’t have much time to question it as Virgil grew fussy. Thomas sighed and relented.
“Okay bud, stand up and I’ll pick you up.” Thomas said. Virgil gurgled happily and clumsily stood up on his feet. Thomas lifted Virgil up and adjusted him on his hip. It was a good thing his sides were just figments of his Imagination and not actual adult sized men.
“My M&M’s only had 10! Why did yours have 11?!” Thomas heard Roman whine. He looked over at the twins.
“Roman, that’s just how candy packaging is, you probably have one that has more than Remus.” He tried to appease.
“Nuh uh! No way he does!” Remus argued, and it only seemed to spur more arguing between the two. Thomas sighed once more. How had all of them regressed?!
“Who was big with you guys?” Thomas asked, ignoring Virgil as he whined and reached for his candy bag he had left on the floor.
“Well, I was a little big for a while, but that was only ‘cause I was nervous.” Logan admitted, his face turning a bit pink. Thomas nodded, and smiled at Logan, hoping to convey he was proud of his logical side for being vulnerable. “And Patton was big big, but then he started eating sweets, and he didn’t stay big for very long after.” Logan continued to explain.
“Where is he now?” Thomas asked, finally bending down and picking up Virgil’s candy bag and handing it to him. Logan shrugged.
“He was here when I left.” He explained, looking around. Thomas grew a bit worried at that, until Roman piped up.
“He’s behind the couch with Janus.” He helpefully explained as he counted his candies again.
“Oh! I also getta count Janus’s candy ‘cause he took all my yellow ones!” Remus argued, standing up and hurrying over to the couch.
“Nuh uh! You gave them away then!” Roman argued, also standing up. Everyone made their way over to the couch, and Thomas peered behind it to find his two remaining sides.
“‘Mas!” Janus looked up and smiled at Thomas, lots of yellow candies and wrappers sitting in his lap.
“Hi.” Patton squeaked as he looked up. His face was covered in chocolate, and unlike the other sides that were all dressed in their pajamas, Patton still wore his blue sweater and tight pants. Thomas couldn’t stop himself from awwing at the sight. His Morality must have tired really hard to stay big if he hadn’t even had the chance to change.
Remus counted under his breath, before cheering.
“Janus has 32 candies, which means I win!” He declared, already running back to his candy bag.
“Some of those was his! You don’t get to count them all!” Roman yelled, chasing after his twin.
“Bellow!” Janus babbled, holding up a yellow box of Dots candy. Virgil’s eyes grew wide with want, and he reached out towards it, almost topping Thomas over.
“Oh geez, okay, I think it’s time for all my sides to go to bed.” Thomas called out as he bent down for Virgil to get the candy. The twins both let out audible whines, but didn’t argue. Which Thomas was grateful for.
“Wait, I forgot--” Logan gasped, before running towards the kitchen. Thomas was about to intervene, worried that he was trying to avoid bedtime, but then Logan ran back in with another pillow case of candy.
“Oh good, more sugar.” Thomas said teasingly. “Whose bag is that?” He asked.
“It’s for you.” Logan said with a small smile. Thomas was surprised.
“Huh?”
“Oh yeah! We tricked or treated for you too!” Roman explained, rushing over, his bag gripped in his hand.
“Yeah! I got you the most candy though.” Remus added, which was immediately refuted by Roman.
“Janus took all the yellow ones out though.” Logan explained as he handed the bag to Thomas. At hearing his name, Janus looked up again.
“‘M ‘bellow.” Was his only comment to that.
“That was…very kind of you guys,” Thomas said genuinely touched that his sides thought about him. “Thank you…Now, let’s get to bed.” Thomas explained, setting the candy down. He knew he would have to get them to bed soon, or else they might begin to question why Thomas wasn’t eating any of the candy that was made up in his own head.

Agere Fic 1
If I have the energy and this gets enough reblogs, this will be a multi-chapter fic. For now, this works as a stand alone.
tw- none, ask to tag
Summary- Virgil is stressed and wants a way to calm down. Dee offers some help through teaching Virgil how to regress.
Other chapters- 1, 2, 3
“Do you have another pickaxe?” Virgil asked over call, curled up in his chair, fixing his mic.
Dee hummed, then threw one at Virgil, “yes, yes, did you forget sticks again, Virgil?”
Virgil pouted in a way that was almost audible and made Dee laugh. Dee had  only been a part of the discord and minecraft server for about six months, but Virgil was already so easy to read and it felt like they had known each other just as long as Virgil knew the others.
At the moment, the group needed resources and Virgil never liked going mining without someone nearby, so they hopped into a call and found the nearest cave, then started digging.
“How many diamonds?” Virgil asked, loudly tapping on his keys just gently enough that they didn’t actually press down while he did so.
“Twenty.” Dee took a breath, “Virgil, are you alright? Your tapping’s getting off…”
“Oh-” Virgil shook his head, trying to shake himself out of it, “Ju-”
“SHIT!” Dee shouted suddenly and took out their sword, then ran over to Virgil and tried hitting something, but Virgil’s character was already dead by a creeper.
Virgil let out a yelp and tensed his whole body, then tried un-tensing but it was no good. He sat there for a moment, not really hearing Dee. Dee had to ping Virgil on Discord to get his attention.
“Sorry-”. Virgil hit respawn and let out a little whine at not being where his bed had been. Which was almost too far away to walk. “Virgil, do you wanna get off? We can mine later, dear.” Dee sighed, “You don’t seem well.”
Virgil just went quiet, swaying, then tried to keep his fingers out of his mouth as he logged out, “Yeah, sorry, I should probably sleep.”
“You got up three hours ago, either you need some vitamin D or you need to stop lying.”
“My name isn’t ‘TheDeeceit’ on discord, now is it?” Virgil let out a dry laugh. “You know how pale I am, there’s no D in me.”
Dee hummed and shook their head, “Virgil, do you want to talk about this with me, someone else, or nobody?”
Virgil started tapping on his keyboard again, “It’s just stress. Just regular ol’ stress. I should be able to deal with it in a HEALTHY way, but noooo-”
“And Roman is the melo-dramatic one?” Dee waited a moment, “That was rude. Okay, have you tried any healthy coping mechanisms?”
“I don’t even know any,” Virgil leaned back in his chair, “i just want a minute where i’m not thinking of the 6 hours of straight work I have to do-”
Dee laughed, “Straight! Dear, you couldn’t go a minute being straight.”
“-every single day. I just wanna think ‘hey, I got this done today’ and not ‘hey, I have a million other things to do tomorrow and this thing I did today.’”
Dee hummed clicked their tongue, “so, a distraction?”
“That’ll just make me feel g-” Virgil covered his face, “Know what? Yeah, sorry, I am just being dramatic.”
“Virgil, I’m your friend.” Dee started, “I want to help you. I do. You aren’t being dramatic, just listen, okay?”
Virgil rubbed his lips with his index finger, then nodded, “alright, I’ll listen.” Dee started typing something, then sent it to Virgil by DM, “this is the one I’m most familiar with that will work for you. Meditation and exercise clearly won’t work with all of the gears in your head, so let’s take a look at this. You tell me if you want to try this.”
Virgil went to the link then started looking through. Dee read it out loud while Virgil followed along.
After the article was done and read, Virgil just rubbed his face more, looking down at the keyboard, “so, uh-” Virgil closed his eyes, “I just act like a baby and it’ll make me feel better?” he snorted gently.
“If you want to simplify it that much, then I suppose.” Dee clicked their tongue again, “It’s more of a head space. A room for thoughts about play and juice boxes, where bad stresses aren’t allowed. Usually, people just go through it when stressed automatically, but you can make yourself go through it when you want to.”
Virgil took a breath, “promise not to tell anyone?”
Without warning, Dee pulled up their camera and made sure they were in frame and that Virgil was watching. Dee always had a different yellow or black sweater with a pattern every time Virgil saw them. It was nice, considering how bad Virgil was with faces. Dee and the twins looked similar enough that if Dee didn’t wear the yellow, Virgil would absolutely fuck it up ten times a day. Virgil started thinking that maybe Dee did it to help him.
Dee held up their hand in a way to swear to Virgil, “I promise to not tell a soul, Virgil.”
Virgil let out a shuddering breath, then nodded, “how do we do this?”
“I’d get your phone and get in bed. Do you have any old plushies?”
Virgil disconnected from the call, closed the computer, then grabbed his phone, reconnecting, “Yeah, a few.”
Janus nodded, “alright, Virgil, we can either go the route of you watching a cartoon and letting yourself be a baby to it or I can just talk to you being a baby.”
Virgil nodded and did finger guns to himself, “Avatar.”
Janus snorted, “I think a show with a few less war crimes would be best for a first time.”
Virgil blew a raspberry.
Dee hummed happily, then blew a raspberry back.
Virgil huffed in fake offense and blew another one.
“Oh, so it’s a war, Vivi!” “Yeah, it is!” Virgil started blowing as many raspberries as possible.
Dee let him win and hummed once Virgil stopped, “Vivi, how’re you feeling?”
“Like my head’s swaying.” He rubbed at his eyes, “but in a nice way.”
“That’s amazing, Vivi.” Dee started humming whatever disney song they heard Roman sing last.
Virgil tapped his nails on his teeth, then looked at the phone, “I t’ink I’m little.” He mumbled and curled up more in the bed around his bat plush.
Dee cooed softly, “that’s so good, dear. Just relax, Vivi, mommy’s here.”
Virgil nodded and kept blowing little bubbles with his mouth, then made kissy noises  with a shy smile.
Dee took a breath, “you’re too cute, dear. Absolutely adorable.”
Virgil closed his eyes, “tire’.”
“Are you really?” Dee asked softly.
“Mhm.” Virgil started sucking on his thumb, making Dee smile, “then I guess it’s nap time. Goo-”
“MMM!” Virgil whined and shook his head. “I’m sorry baby, what do you need?”
Virgil messed with his tongue to try to get it in the right place, then tried talking, “‘tay til I slee’?” Dee took a moment to decipher that, then nodded, “mommy is gonna stay right here, baby. Do you want mommy to read you to sleep?”
Virgil nodded and listened to Dee.
Dee took a breath and started reading Harold and the Purple Crayon, which made Virgil fall asleep almost immediately. Dee finished the story, sent to the others that they couldn’t finish the mining trip and not to bother Virgil, then went to go let themself regress.

An All-Out Binky War
Summary: Patton loves his binky! It's his absolute favourite thing, and he never, ever wants to get rid of it! But what if he's too old for it? Can you be too old for a comfort item? Someone certainly thinks so. And now there's an all-out binky war! Oh no...
Warnings: Arguing, taking away a comfort object, some like... PG-13 "swearing"
A/N: Hey! Hi! Hello! I'm alive! I know I haven't updated in a loooooong time, I'm really sorry! School kicked my butt a lot, and that led to writer's block. But I'm back now! And I'm happy to inform that I graduated right before Christmas, and this means that I have more time and less stress! And that means I can write! Hopefully!
So anyway, I've decided to treat you munchkins to not one, not two, but THREE oneshots tonight! Because I kind of just disappeared like that, so I feel like y'all deserve a lil extra 💅✨
Hope you enjoy!
- Princey L
Patton had a favourite pacifier. It had a cyan shield, orange handle, white middle part and a latex teat. It was Patton's favourite thing in the world, and the little boy loved it very dearly. Whenever he regressed, he absolutely had to have it, and would cry if he couldn't find it.
"Where is it? Where is it, where is it, where is it?" Patton kept repeating to himself and his frog plushie, Mr. Froggers, growing more and more panicked by the minute. He tossed around pillows, looked under tables and even went through the pockets of every jacket on the coat rack in an attempt to find his precious binky. He looked everywhere, high and low, but it was like his comfort object had disappeared into thin air. Virgil walked into what looked like the aftermath of a hurricane in the living room.
"What's going on kiddo?" he asked the frantic boy.
"Binky! I can't find my binky!" Patton exclaimed, his voice breaking as tears began pooling in his eyes.
"Aw, c'mere, bub," Virgil cooed sympathetically, opening his arms for a hug as Patton broke down in sobs. The little boy all but ran into Virgil's arms, needing the comfort. Virgil lifted the sad boy up on his hip, and gently rocked him for a moment.
"Let's go get you a cup of water, hm? We wouldn't want you to run out of tears, now would we? And then we'll look for your binky together," Virgil promised. Patton nodded, having calmed down from sobs to hiccups.
In the kitchen, as Virgil reached for one of Patton's cups from the cupboard, he saw a rather familiar cyan and orange object on top of the fridge.
"What's this doing here?" he mused to himself. He opted for a puppy themed cup and filled it with water before handing it to Patton, who was sitting on the counter. Virgil then turned back to the fridge, and took down Patton's binky.
"Good news pal, I found your binky! It's a little dusty, so I'll rinse it off before you can have it, okay?" the emo said, taking the pacifier to the sink.
"My binky!" Patton lit up. "Why was it on top of the fridge?"
"I don't know bud," Virgil answered honestly, drying off the comfort object before offering it to it's rightful owner. Patton opened his mouth, letting the caregiver put the binky in place.
"Thank you!" the little boy mumbled behind the teat, reaching his arms out for Virgil. He took the cue and set Patton's now empty cup aside before picking him back up.
"How's about you settle down with some Steven Universe while I make us all lunch?" Virgil suggested. Patton nodded, rubbing the leftover tear residue from his eyes underneath his round glasses. He was a little worn out from crying, and cuddling up with Mr. Froggers and his binky felt like a good idea. So, Virgil carried the little boy back in the living room, and gently sat him down on the couch. The caregiver turned the tv on to the boy's comfort cartoon, tidied up a bit and gave Patton a kiss on the head before heading back in the kitchen.
After a few episodes, Roman emerged from his room. As he passed by Patton to go to the kitchen, he noticed the pacifier in the curly haired boy's mouth, and furrowed his brow in confusion.
"Oh, you still have your binky?" he asked. Patton just nodded, not knowing why the prince would assume otherwise. Roman didn't say anything else, but did give Patton a quizzical glance before making his way to the kitchen.
"I thought Logan said not to give Patton his binky anymore?"
"What?" Virgil turned his attention from the sandwiches he was making to Roman.
"Didn't he?"
"Why would he say that?"
"I don't know, I just... thought he did," Roman said, feeling uncertain.
"Well, whatever, Patton is always allowed to have it. Capiche?"
"Capiche," Roman sat down at the table. The two continued chit-chatting, Virgil continuing to make lunch, until a panicked noise came from the living room. Before either had time to react, Logan walked in.
"Who gave Patton this?" he asked, dangling the blue and orange object between his thumb and index finger.
"Did you seriously just take that from him?" Virgil asked snarkily.
"He doesn't need it."
"Yes he does. He's regressed."
"No, he doesn't. He's far too old for it."
"Did you miss the part where he's regressed?" Virgil asked sarcastically. Logan sighed.
"What I'm saying is that a six-year-old shouldn't be using a pacifier. It'll harm the development of his teeth. He needs to be weaned off."
"Wait. You put Patton's binky on the fridge? Are you kidding me, Logan? What the hell is wrong with you?" Virgil threw his hands in the air.
"I'm doing him a favor," Logan stated, starting to put Patton's beloved comfort object on top of the fridge again.
"Give me that!" Virgil snapped, snatching the pacifier from Logan's hand.
"Roman, you agree with me, right?" Logan turned to the prince who had been watching the scene unfold.
"Uh, well, I..."
"Oh come on, you can't take advantage of Roman agreeing with you just because he can't stand up for himself!" Virgil fired.
"Hey! I totally can stand up for myself! How rude!" Roman stood up, offended.
"Whatever! I'm taking this back to Patton now," the hoodie-clad Side rolled his eyes, completely done with the other two. He left the kitchen, only to be met with an empty couch.
In the meanwhile, Janus was getting some chores done while Remus was taking a nap in their side of the Mind Palace. It was one of Remus' really small days, so he was remarkably calmer and quieter than usual, allowing Janus to have a calmer day as well. The scaley Side was folding some clothes, spotting one of Roman's hoodies along his and Remus' laundry. It wasn't an unusual find, seeing as Remus tended to grab whatever hoodie or sweater he first saw when he got cold, paying no mind to whose it was. Janus would then wash and dry it before returning it to it's rightful owner.
The snake decided it was time to strech his legs anyway, so he might as well go return the hoodie now. He got up and stretched, a silent groan escaping his mouth. Perhaps sitting on the floor, hunched over his laundry, wasn't the best position to be in. Regardless, Janus took the hoodie and checked on the peacefully sleeping Remus before attaching the baby monitor on his belt and making his way to the core side of the Mind Palace. He passed through the living room, where Virgil, Logan and Roman were arguing about something or other. He didn't feel like getting involved, so he kept going, deciding to drop Roman's hoodie off in his room before heading right back to his baby. He froze, however, when he was passing Patton's room and heard muffled sounds from inside. The sounds were so faint they were barely there, but Janus could sense something was wrong. He went to drop Roman's hoodie off on his bed before heading back to Patton's room. He took a breath, and gently knocked on the door.
"Patton, darling, may I come in? It's JanJan," he said. He got a faint 'yes' as a response, and with that he opened the door and entered the room. Patton was sat on the floor, clutching Mr. Froggers tightly, hiding his mouth behind the plushie's head. His brows were furrowed and his eyes were shiny, as his fingers ran slowly back and forth on the back of Mr. Froggers' head. Janus carefully sat next to Patton, leaving a bit of space in case the little boy needed it.
"What's wrong hun?" he asked gently. Patton hesitated for a moment.
"You can tell me, I promise I won't get mad," Janus said, taking off his right glove before offering his pinky. Patton thought for a moment longer, before finally linking his pinky with the yellow Side's.
"Lo-Lo doesn't like me anymore, and now him and Vee and Ro-Ro are fighting and it's all my fault!"
"Did Logan say that to you?"
"Well... No... But he took my binky! Said I can't have it anymore!" Patton pouted, lip trembling as a few tears escaped from his eyes to his cheeks. Janus carefully wiped the tears away with his thumbs, gently cupping Patton's small face in his hands.
"I'm sorry he did that, that was really mean of him," he sympathised. Patton sniffed, reaching his arms out and climbing in Janus' lap. The latter wrapped his arms around the small one, and they both just stayed there for a while, until Remus started fussing in his baby monitor.
"What'dya say, want to come hang out with me and Remus for a while? Leave the others to their dumb fight?" Janus asked, gently playing with Patton's curls. The boy simply nodded, tightening his grip slightly. The older one took the hint, and carefully got up, never letting go of the child. Janus adjusted Patton slightly, before carrying him out of the room. As they passed the other three, still deep in their argument, Janus summoned one of his extra arms before subtly taking Patton's beloved binky from Virgil's hand.
Back at the other side of the Mind Palace, Janus had gotten the still glum Patton situated on the couch before retrieving the fussy Remus from his room. The kiddos were now sitting on the couch, watching as Janus prepared to fold the rest of the laundry. Remus pointed to Patton, a questioning coo rising from behind his pacifier.
"Yeah bub, Patton is feeling a little sad because Logan took his binky away from him," Janus explained. The baby thought for a moment before taking the green pacifier out of his mouth, offering it to the glum child. Patton shook his head, and Janus rose to intervene.
"Ah, that's very thoughtful of you Remus, but we don't share binkies, hun. I think Patton would want this instead," he said, summoning one of his extra arms, the one with Patton's beloved comfort.
"My binky!" Patton perked up, reaching out for Janus' third hand before stopping in his tracks.
"But... Too old for it?" he asked hesitantly.
"Never too old for a comfort object," the caregiver assured, making sure to keep his tone soft and genuine. The boy thought for a moment longer, before finally taking the binky and popping it into his mouth, right where it belonged. He wiggled a little, immediately feeling soothed. Patton suckled on the object gently, his muscles untensing as he finally relaxed. He ran his fingers across the back of Mr. Froggers' head, swaying a little to the tune of Janus' humming. Eventually, Patton nodded off.
He didn't stay asleep for long, however, waking up to the sounds of arguing.
"I can't believe you'd just sneak Patton off like that!" Virgil.
"Oh, yes, what a *terrible* crime, tending to a child in distress!" Janus.
"He's fine! He was just pouting because he's mad I took his pacifier away! He's merely being petty!" Logan.
"Don't you even start with that bull!" Virgil again.
"You can't be serious, Logan!" Janus again.
"I am always serious, necktie! Besides, it is for his own good! Roman agrees with me!"
"I—"
"Oh for eff's sake, grow a backbone, Roman!"
Patton covered his ears tightly, it was all too much! He didn't want this, he didn't want this! He quietly sunk down, holding back tears and hands firmly on his ears, Mr. Froggers in tow.
Thomas was editing on the couch, when he felt Patton rise up next to him. Before he had a chance to react, Patton was already climbing on his lap, almost causing Thomas to drop his laptop. He fumbled with it for a second before managing to safely place it on the coffee table.
"Hey, hey, what's wrong buddy?" He gently asked, wrapping his arms around Patton as he finally registered the little boy's sobbing.
"Everyone fightin n it's my fault n loud n m scared!" Patton explained in-between hysterical sobs.
"Didn' mean to be bad!"
"You're not bad honey, not at all!" Thomas soothed the panicky boy, gently rocking him and rubbing his back.
"What were the others arguing about?" he asked gently. Patton pointed to the comfort object still bobbing between his lips.
"They were fighting about your pacifier?" Thomas confirmed. Patton nodded, still teary-eyed, but his breathing having calmed down. Before Thomas could ask anything more, a regressed Roman rose up.
"I don't know! I just don't know!" he yelled, pulling at his hair. Patton flinched slightly at the volume, and Thomas tightened his grip slightly.
"I don't know the right answer! I don't know, I don't know, I don't know!"
"Roman—"
"I don't know," Roman's voice broke as he dropped to his knees, his shoulders shaking as he began to sob behind his hands. Thomas carefully rose from the couch, placing Patton on his hip. He then crouched next to Roman, placing a gentle hand on his back.
"Sweetheart..." he murmured, sitting down on the floor before carefully rubbing Roman's back.
"They kept pressuring me! I didn't know what to do!" the eight-year-old's voice wavered as he tried to hold back his sobs.
"It's not your fault, hun, I promise," Thomas reassured, hating to see his boys so broken.
"Not your fault," Patton echoed quietly, reaching for Roman's shoulder with his own, small hand.
"I'm sorry I didn't have your back," Roman sniffed, wiping his eyes before reaching for Patton's hand, placing his own on top of it.
"M sorry they're fightin because of me," Patton mumbled, also sniffing and wiping his eyes.
"It's not your fault, bud," Roman and Thomas said simultaneously.
"Jinx," Thomas smiled. Roman gave a small smile in return.
"Tired," Patton yawned around his beloved comfort object.
"Me too," Roman confessed, catching Patton's contagious yawn.
"I think the both of you need a nap, hm? And once you're big again, we can all settle this together, once and for all," Thomas ruffled both boys hair affectionately.
"Toooom!" Roman whined playfully, as Patton just giggled.
"Alright, let's get you two rascals all nice and cozy, yeah?" Thomas carefully got up, making sure Patton was comfortable on his hip before lending a hand to Roman.
"Thanks Tom!" Roman thanked politely. Patton tugged at Thomas' shirt.
"Hm?" The caregiver turned his attention to the younger one.
"Stay?" Patton asked, almost as if he was scared Thomas might leave him the second he falls asleep. And how could Thomas say no to those puppy eyes?
Thus is how Thomas ended up on the couch, sandwiched between a six-year-old and an eight-year-old, and a definite crick in the neck by the time they'd be getting up. Still, there was nowhere else he'd rather be than right here, right now, with his boys. And with that thought, Thomas, too, fell into a peaceful sleep, each boy contently snuffling under a protective arm.

Mature
Logan's calm voice drifts through everyone's panic. As he explains the situation and how everything is fine, their worries melt away. Patton smiles at him, "Wow kiddo! Thanks for being so... mature!" Logan stops at that word. This is the third time he's been called that. Yesterday it was because he helped Thomas with a business meeting when neither of them had gotten sleep. The day before that was when he had to stay up late caring for Roman's wounds after a nasty fight with some beast in the Imagination. This time its because another situation arose where Thomas has to put himself before his friends for once. All three times, he had wanted to cry, to get angry, to freak out like the others, but he always had to be the mature one, the level headed one. He's so, so tired. He doesn't even notice his chin start wobbling and tears welling until Virgil asks if he's okay. He nods and excuses himself before sinking out.
Now safely in his room, he takes a breath. Regressing is the best option for stress releif, so he locks his door and takes out all his regression gear. He pops his plain black paci in his mouth, puts on some cute music, and takes out a coloring book and crayons. He starts on a cute kitty with a bow, but he still can't regress. His brain won't let him. What if one of the others need him to be mature again? What if there's an emergency? What if someone comes in even though the door is locked? What if no one will take him seriously. "Comet, are you okay?" His caregiver's voice cuts through his thoughts and it finally breaks him. "Mommy!" Tears finally fall and Janus rushes to his baby's side, hugging and rocking him. "I had to do so much! Roro got hurt an' I had to help 'im in'tead a sleepin' an' then I had to wake up early cuz Thomas needed help wif a meetin' an' then everyone was sad cuz Thomas had to miss a thing wif friends an' they jus' kept needin' me to be mature an' I hate it! I don' wanna be mature anymore!" Janus rubs Logan's back as he sobs into his shoulder, ranting. "It's okay little comet. You don't have to be mature right now. You can be as immature and silly and childish and emotional as you want." Logan's tears finally dry and Janus hands him a bottle of apple juice, "You're probably thirsty after that, huh?" Logan nods as he sips, slipping further into his headspace. Janus smiles, "After you finish that, we can watch some cartoons, how does that sound?" Logan nods happily.
