Nowadays, processors are a necessity for any software development project. But which processor is the best for software development?
This blog looks at all the relevant factors and ranks the processors from best to worst based on those factors.
So whether you are a beginner or an experienced programmer, read on for advice on choosing the best CPUs for software development in 2022!
I have a new computer that will most support coding and software development (Java scripts).
Here need this software to perform other tasks like graphic design and software. I did extensive research, and based on what I found, the best CPU for Virtualization my purpose was the Intel Core i5-12600K.
I think. There is probably a costly machine out there that beats that one in most respects, but in my budget, I think it is everything I want: 10 cms. It is multitasking, 3. GHz. Is PC gaming an acceptable choice?
When picking the best CPU for coding, there are a variety of factors to take into account. Clock speed is not an essential factor for most consumers.
For gaming, however, clock speed is still vital, and the more cores available, the better for intensive workloads. Clock speeds on the fastest CPUs in a given processor line will be the greatest.
Entry-level computers are designed with Intel CPUs in the Core i3 and i7 series. High-end gaming laptops and coding laptops are best performed with i9 processors. For basic applications, AMD offers the Athlon and Ryzen lines.
More cores in newer CPUs provide enhanced performance. They are ideal for hard-core coding because they have a stronger memory than their predecessors.
To code successfully, you need a good CPU. Here are the best CPU for software development in 2022. Make the right choice and start coding today!

[Image description: A series of posts from Jason Lefkowitz @[email protected] dated Dec 08, 2022, 04:33, reading:
It's good that our finest minds have focused on automating writing and making art, two things human beings do simply because it brings them joy. Meanwhile tens of thousands of people risk their lives every day breaking down ships, a task that nobody is in a particular hurry to automate because those lives are considered cheap https://www.dw.com/en/shipbreaking-recycling-a-ship-is-always-dangerous/a-18155491 (Headline: 'Recycling a ship is always dangerous.' on Deutsche Welle) A world where computers write and make art while human beings break their backs cleaning up toxic messes is the exact opposite of the world I thought I was signing up for when I got into programming

Coding resource!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
exercism.org
A free website where you get specific problems to methodically learn small concepts of a programming language. Do 10 minutes to 1 hour every day, and then you will keep practicing every day, and you will be able to use the skills you learn in your real projects. They walk you through the problem all the way, and it's a super good way to learn!

I just watched a video where someone is using ChatGPT to generate comments on their code. Even as a layman I feel like I should be screaming at him, but on a scale from 1 to apocalypse, how bad is this?
Machine-generated comments could not possibly be more useless, nonsensical or maliciously misleading than most of the human-generated comments I've seen.

its not net zero information if u clearly fuckin know a new thing at the end!! net zero information meme is when the original post was untrue and so the only fact you've learned is 'it is not true that [untrue thing]', which is a useless thing to know (especially if you already knew the true thing)
if posts go back and forth and at the end u have a good idea what's going on, better than what you'd know from any post individually, that's not a time for 'net zero info'. u learned! we all learned! yippee

What art program do you use?
Tumblr media
These are my top 3 programs in my art process! Ignore the name of the app folder. It helps with MY motivation to draw lmao
1. Procreate ($12.99 as of Feb 2024)
My main drawing program! Its so easy to use and the UI is simple. What really sold me to procreate is the default brushes and the time lapse! if you’d like I made a post a while back on the brushes i use for lineart! Sooooo worth the investment honestly. also you can animate on it too! but Procreate released Dreams recently. I’m just saving up for it oneday!
2. Easypose (FREE)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I love using this for composition, perspective and poses especially in group setting which I really struggle with. The proportions are very much anime but nothing anatomy studies can’t fix!! Also love that its free and isnt subscription based. Lil warning though the asset library is very limited. there are DLCs but they’re not as detailed as what you’d see in Magic poser and/or Clip studio. But still the basic shapes still help a lot! and I wish i can change the color and move the light but it only has the one light source.
3. Canva (Free & Paid Subscription)
THE Graphic Design for dummies!!! /lh No but fr it has helped me a lot in clutch especially for merch layout when I used to do a lot of conventions
Honorable Mentions for References that helps me a lot (aside from Pinterest):
Sketchfab.com - lots of 3D assets that you can rotate around and use as references especially when you can’t find the right stock photo!!! (Some of the Assets are free or you can buy them!)
Line of Action - been using this a lot for studies! (free or you can subscribe to them!)
Clipdrop Relight - When I’m struggling to light a scene. Very helpful for color studies cause you can set up 3 lights at once for that bisexual lighting~

"How does code work?"
The quote above “how does code work?” came from one of my new Computer Science students in my introductory Computer Science 20S course. I have certainly encountered this type of question before, but this time it made me stop and think. When I thought about my answer, I thought “how deep” should my answer be? At one level I could just respond with “by telling the computer do the stuff you tell it…

Reblog and put in the tags what your current career/degree is* vs the career/degree that, in retrospect, you should have gone into, knowing what you now know about yourself.
(This is NOT your dream job (who dreams of labor lol), but rather the career that your 18yo self didn’t know to explore/wasn’t encouraged to choose)
* please be as vague as needed so as not to doxx yourself 🙏 internet safety first always

idk if this is a hot take but ive seen so many have decided kinito's a trans guy and i love that
but let me raise you my headcanon............
he's a trans dude in the sense that while he was assigned male when created he never really. had a gender? as a computer program? he just was? so when more information about trans people and more trans people became open online he saw it and went. wait... what am i, then?
and decided he sorta resonated with something between nonbinary and trans guys from what he saw online. if he were to draw himself anthro he'd give himself top scars because he just thinks that's a marking all transmasc people have <3

Are you a CS student? Check out the GitHub Student Developer Pack!
🐢 Even if you've activated in the past, I think it's fun to re-visit if anything new has been added :D
Tumblr media Tumblr media
●~•───────────────────────────────────────•~●
I learned about this when I attended my 1st hackathon, I used the pack to get a free website domain (from Namecheap) and used Digital Ocean cloud services to host apps, and even tried out Educative's courses. Later, when I was hosting a hackathon, they released their ~hackathon hosting starter pack~ and it was great to have access to extra resources to support hosting virtual events!
I recently remembered this existed and wanted to promote it here, so if you're a student interested in CS/Software Dev, have a upcoming hackathon or just want to play around with some premium tools, pls take time to check this out!
Something exciting I noticed this time around is the addition of project template examples (Ex: Discord Bots) and a career readiness section 👀
Personally, I am still using: Codespaces, GitHub Pages, I *still* have my domain with NameCheap, and there's a handful of services they added that I want to check out now :D
