Sorry I haven't been active lately, I have a lot going on irl.

So, I've had a few people reach out to me about doing a 3rd run of the AFTG Minyard hoodies, so I decided to open up orders again!!

I know a lot of people will be pretty excited about this! :) Unfortunately though it looks like prices have risen a little bit (if I remember correctly how much they cost last time) so if you want a lower price, PLEASE SHARE WITH YOUR FRIENDS! The more orders that are placed, the cheaper they will be, and you will be reimbursed for the extra money you had paid! Ideally I'd just set the number higher to get a cheaper up-front price, but I want you guys to be guaranteed your hoodies and it is much easier to do that if I set it to the lowest estimated orders (if that makes sense). If we do not reach a minimum of 6 orders by MARCH 31ST 2023, pre-orders will be closed and refunds will be issued.

As for the excess money once we pass the minimum sales: CustomInk will reimburse the excess money if we sell over the minimum of 6 hoodies. Like in the previous runs, CustomInk will most likely reimburse the extra money to the organizer of the sale, which will be me, so PLEASE DO NOT FORGET to add in the notes whether you would like your refund donated to The Trevor Project or sent back to you (paypal preferred but I can work it out through venmo or cashapp as well). If you do NOT tell me in the notes or in a private message where you want the money sent, it will be donated to The Trevor Project. I am making no money off of these.

As for sizing, these do run pretty much true to size. For reference I am 5'9, bust 38 inches, waist 32 inches, and a medium fits me well and isn't tight at all. If you are worried about sizing though, I would definitely size up rather than down.

Hello everyone! I'm coming in with a Garwin Day update in 70% more words than strictly necessary. If you haven't seen the official press release poster, here it is for your viewing pleasure.

I stated there that details regarding the T-shirt contest would be released closer to the date, and today I'm making good on that particular promise.

On Thursday, March 28, I encourage everyone interested to submit your t-shirt design to the #garwin day 2024 tag and/or tag @arson-anarchy-death and me in your post. You can make as many as you would like, but please designate only one to be entered into judging.

Whomever submits the t-shirt design that is the most Garwin--the guidelines for which are a black box algorithm that will not be disclosed due to its proprietary nature--will be deemed the Gar-winner and recieve:

Bragging rights for all eternity

A rejection letter from Yale

An art request which I will attempt to fulfill in a reasonable amount of time OR a fic request that can be fulfilled in a thousand words or less

There are a couple of different methods enumerated under the cut, along with certain supplementals if you're like me and not very good at this whole art thing. These will not be judging categories--everyone is in the same boat--but the numbered list is nice to my brain.

Questions, comments, concerns? Please send me an ask! There's a good chance I haven't thought of every single edge case, so let me know if there's anything I can help to clarify.

1. The first option is the classic 'just draw the whole thing'. If you were already planning Garwin art before this announcement, feel free to eliminate two stones with one bird in that artwork; make sure the t-shirt is readable enough for judging purposes. Anything and everything else is fair game. (Both digital and traditional accepted)

2. Option two: DTYIS (Garwin templates provided below). Anything from full DTYIS to a screenshot that is drawn upon (however MS paint-looking that may end up being) falls into this bullet point.

3. If MS paint isn't the style you have in mind and you'd rather not spend the next three days perfecting your font-writing skills, I have the solution for you. I created the above Garwin template with this customink tshirt as a guide. This allows for both easier photoshopping if you would like to paste it onto the Garwin template or the ability to simply submit screenshots of your customink design.

The only method I'm going to discourage is finding a picture of a t-shirt on the internet and submitting that as your contest entry. Feel free to browse the internet for inspiration and even recreate shirts found there, whether it be by your own hands or in customink, just make sure that some of your own work has gone into making your final submission.

idk if you'll have the answer for this but with the "show exclusive" shirts, I didn't see any at my venue (Toronto)- did I just miss them/they sold out before I even got in? Or am I misunderstanding what they are- since you said you would be making yours are they like... fan shirts? Sorry if this is a silly question! I'm just confused and can't find Anything online about show-specific merch, so if there Was something I'd want to find a way to get it lmao

I do have an answer! The shirts are official designs, and each city has a different lyric on the back and the name of the city and the smile/frown logo on the front. It’s very possible they sold out before you could get to them - they’ve tended to go really fast at every show so far.

The way I'll be making mine is through either one of those sites like customink (where you can upload a design) or through screenprinting (which I have just started to learn how to do). A reddit user created png versions of each of the city specific lyric shirts! their original post on it is here - these designs are for PERSONAL use and are not to be used for resale or for profit. But for anyone sad they missed their city’s shirt or a specific lyric or couldn’t go to any tour date, this is an excellent resource to use to get your own printed!

If I may, what was your job that you lost? Was it something you liked and that's why it hurts? Or are you just sad that you lost income?

Firstly, I am very sad that I lost income :'). I've already been struggling so suddenly getting laid off, with no warning, is rather frightening.

But yeah, more than that, I am hurt because I LOVED my job. Sure, there was one coworker I wanted to fist fight on the daily (that mf got to keep HIS job), but outside of him, I loved everything about work. I worked in a very casual environment. The company was a textile screen printing company, think like those CustomInk or RushOrderTees commercials. I was a press operator assistant.

Before that, I'd never had any exposure to the industry. But I fell in love with it. Mixing inks, learning how to burn screens, learning about shirt brands and fabric types and how they react with ink, making someone's idea come to life on a t-shirt, it was just good fun work. On top of that, we were a very pro-LGBT shop. I've never worked somewhere that respected my transgender identity so whole heartedly. I never had anyone question me or my authenticity. We were allowed to wear whatever we want, say whatever we want, listen to whatever we want so long as the work got done. It was so loose and free.

I'm gonna miss it so much. I really hope I can find work in the industry again. We had this sign by the front door that said "Making T Shirts Should Be Fun", and it was, it really was. Unfortunately, the economy isn't kind to such a niche industry. I really hope the business doesn't go under, but it's not looking good. It's hard for everyone, yanno

If ordering BOTH hoodies to my address first, there is a small hiccup regarding shipping; With the Minyard style, the only option is to ship directly to the buyer.
