Draconification

These characters don't show up in the game, but I love the idea of Naydra, Dinraal, and Farosh being zonai that went through draconification. I seem to be drawn to drawing characters with potentially tragic backstories that are never looked into.

I cut some corners with the outfits (that's a lot of jewelry and details wow), but I'm very happy with how this turned out. In the english versions of the game the dragons are referred to as female, so I drew them as either feminine or ambiguous. 

I'd like to draw more Zelda in between my Undertale/ Delatrune stuff- I think it will be fun. I'll mostly be doing TOTK and WW, so please look forward to those. But for now, I get back to working on TSWFBY.

Future Deltarune Tickle Stories

Ok, first off, before continuing any further, this is your last warning… If you ABSOLUTELY DO NOT WANT TO KNOW what I have in mind for future Deltarune stories, then read no further! But for those that do want to know… Proceed…

Hello, all. If any of you have read any of my previous journals, you might've heard that I am considering writing Deltarune requests in addition to Undertale requests once I open requests again. Again, no promises that I will do Deltarune requests but if I decide to, below is a list of 40 ideas I have for future Deltarune stories for you to refer to so there won't be any conflicts when coming up with your own personal ideas for Delatrune requests. And these ideas I have won't be written in any particular order either, for any of those wondering, nor am I promising that I will write every single one of them. Not in a timely manner, anyway. So here's an idea I have to speed up the process a little: If I decide to do Deltarune requests, I will give you a choice… you can either 1. Come up with your own idea for a Deltarune story or 2. Suggest that I do one of the ideas I came up with, like if there's one you really want to see or something. Sound like a plan? If so, great! ;) And with that, I give you my list of ideas for future stories…

Deltarune story prompts: 1. Kris and Toriel tickle each other the night before the events of Deltarune Chapter 1 2. Kris tickles Ralsei while training with him and has the decency to let him return the favor (During a "hug Ralsei" action) 3. Lancer buries and tickles Susie as part of some sort of bad guy initiation 4. Lancer and Susie tickle each other in front of Kris and Ralsei (shortly after the Lancer and Susie battle); Lancer tickles Susie for fun and Susie gets all embarrassed because he tickled her in front of Kris and Ralsei, causing her to tickle him back for revenge 5. Jevil tickle attack! Jevil tickles Kris, Susie, and Ralsei (I can do anything!) 6. Seam and Jevil tickle fight (flashback) 7. Rouxls Kaard creates a blatantly obvious tickle trap in his shop and Kris, Susie, and Ralsei, feeling sorry for Rouxls, purposely spring it to make him happy and boost his confidence… but the trap might turn out to be more intense than what they're anticipating 8. Susie and Kris (primarily Susie) tickle Lancer before leaving the Card Kingdom (goodbye tickles); and Lancer tickles them back, of course ;) 9. Lancer and Rouxls tickle each other (flashback) 10. Asgore and Rudy tickle each other; starts with Rudy waking up a sleeping Asgore the only way he knows how (before Rudy was hospitalized) ;) 11. Rudy and Noelle tickle fight (before Rudy was hospitalized) 12. Missing their father-daughter tickle fights, Noelle lets Rudy tickle her while he's resting in his hospital bed, sitting right within his reach so he doesn't have to get out of bed, but has trouble keeping still for him 13. Noelle and Berdly studying together 14. Jockington tickles a grumpy Catti 15. Kris and Susie (and Lancer) tickle Ralsei in Kris's new Dark World bedroom 16. Kris and Susie "convince" Ralsei to let them stay in the Dark World a little longer after he bans them from his kingdom to start their school project 17. After playing the arcade machine with Queen, Kris and Susie trick Ralsei; they tell him they want to practice their "ultimate form" and tickle him as soon as he gets down on his hands and knees. Then after that little prank, Susie suggests that they practice their form for real but then she and Ralsei end up tickling Kris 18. Kris, Susie, and Ralsei visit Sweet Cap'n Cakes at their shop and a tickle battle ensues 19. Nubert lures Susie and Ralsei into a tickle trap (this happens off-screen in the city when Susie and Ralsei aren't with Kris) and then he helps Ralsei get revenge on Susie for tickling him 20. Kris and Noelle have a tickle fight after pranking each other with the electric barrier 21. Noelle, annoyed with Kris for staring at Berdly's ugly statue, tickles Kris in an attempt to make her stop staring at said statue

22. Kris convinces Sweet Cap'n Cakes to tickle Noelle

23. The Annoying Dog, wanting the Gamer's Delight that Berdly made for Queen, chases Berdly down and tickles him

24. Ralsei doesn't initially doesn't wear shoes with his butler outfit; Queen "convinces" him to wear shoes and at the same time warns him of something that might happen if one or more Swatchlings ever catch him in a butler outfit without any footwear 25. Kris, Susie, and Ralsei all tickle each other in a long-shot attempt to save Lancer after he is turned to stone; Susie thinking that tickling each other in Lancer's field of vision will somehow make Lancer break out of his frozen state 26. Spamton tickles Kris in his shop 27. Susie and Ralsei have a tickle fight while Kris is the basement of Queen's Mansion 28. Spamtom NEO tickle attack! Spamton NEO tickles Kris, Susie, and Ralsei ([[Hyperlink blocked]]) 29. Spamton tickles the Addisons; then the Addisons all return the favor (flashback) 30. While venturing through Queen's Mansion alone, Berdly gets ambushed and tickled by several mice 31. Kris pets and tickles Ralsei after hearing his comment about how nice it would be to be pet by a giant hand 32. Susie and Noelle tickle each other on the ferris wheel 33. Queen tickles Noelle after fighting Kris, Susie, and Ralsei (after the first Queen battle, meaning that it would take place during the events of "A Kiss From a Beautiful Gamer Girl") 34. Kris and Susie tickle Ralsei in Kris's bedroom after their Cyber World Adventure and the feathers Kris plucked from Berdly are some of the items they use to tickle him 35. Kris (with some help from Ralsei) and Susie (with some help from Lancer) have a proper tickle fight in Susie's Dark World bedroom 36. Clover tickles Kris, Susie, and Ralsei; 3 heads, 3 ticklish heroes ;) 37. Queen and Lancer tickle each other and then tag-team Rouxls 38. Ralsei and Lancer tickle fight 39. Rouxls, seeking revenge on Queen and Lancer for tickling him, sets up a tickle trap meant for Queen and/or Lancer but ends up catching Tasque Manager by mistake 40. Just for fun, Ralsei, skeptical of Queen's warning (see prompt 24), puts on his butler outfit minus the shoes and ends up getting tickled by Swatchlings because of it

Deltarune Chapter 2 Theory

DELTARUNE SPOILERS AHEAD

I'll put under a read more, but just in case it doesn't work. Here's your warning to block "#delatrune spoilers" or scroll really fast.

Spoilers for end game and bonus boss, and a long ass dump of all the ideas I have in my head before I forget them. So, sorry if I got anything wrong or it's a mess.

I've seen a lot of theories flying around, but haven't seen this one yet. (Sorry if it is already out there and I just haven't seen it, I'm sure somebody will already have put it together better than me.) This is just some funky ideas I've been throwing around, because I'll be honest here, I love the main 3 so much, and would be sad to see any of them turn out to be evil like so many theories are suggesting.

Maybe I'm just trying to be optimistic, maybe it's the weird nb kid deep inside me latching onto a kindred spirit, maybe I'm on to something.

So here's the thing. I don't believe Kris is the knight.

I know, I know, but stay with me here.

There's no denying that at the end of the chapter, Kris created a new fountain, and with it, likely a new dark world. But I'd like to argue, this is the first one they've created. My evidence is shaky, but I think there's something there that could blossom.

I'll start off with the simple fact that multiple characters who have met the knight, Spades King especially, didn't recognise Kris at all, and you would have thought they'd recognise the person who's been feeding them so much information. You do also have a couple of dialogue options with the king this time, and definitely with the Queen, so it seems strange that neither of them recognise the voice of their Knight in shining armour.

This is where stuff starts to get a bit flaky, but also, a lot more intriguing.

At the end of the chapter Kris opened a fountain, and the night before, we saw Kris remove the soul inside them and brandish their knife. Assuming that Kris spent that time without the soul creating a fountain is a fair assumption to make, and I think it's possible that was Kris's intention, perhaps they have some connection to the knight, and knew how the fountains could be opened. But, they were missing one important ingredient.

In Chapter 2 we get an explanation from the Queen about how dark fountains are created, and with it a word that has largely been missing from Deltarune.

That's right, good old Determination.

Fountains are created when a determined Lightner plunges a sharp object into the ground. And here's where the theory comes in. I believe prior to the end of chapter 2, Kris didn't have Determination. Throughout the game, they've been filled with various sources of power, from Fluffy Boys and Mean Girls, to Cat signs. But at every save point we've been missing the signature Determination.

The closest we get is at the end of Chapter 2, just before the fight against the queen, when "a certain power" is alluded to.

And that lack of Determination, would have made opening the fountain impossible for them, after all, Queen spent the whole game building Noelle's determination high enough to open a new fountain. A smidge of determination doesn't seem to cut it.

So how did Kris get the determination?

Through the good old power of Friendship. Through the trials with their new friends, Kris has gained determination, even without the soul inhabiting them. And even though that started as half a joke (only half), whilst writing this post and trying to find screencaps, for the next section, I realised it's actually more likely than I suspected.

And that brings me to everyone's new favourite:

Spamton. During his dialogue and initial boss fight he offers a deal, rewarding Kris with [[Hyperlink Blocked]] if they accept. As far as I'm aware you're forced to accept the deal. (If anyone else tolerated more than a few minutes of smashing no deal like I did and managed to get a different outcome, kudos to your perseverance.)

What is [[Hyperlink Blocked]]? Well I'm sure you can guess where I'm going with this. I believe it may well be Determination or something similar.

During the initial confrontation, Spamton refers to the players Soul as [[HeartShapedObject]].

But prior to the boss fight against Spamton NEO, he has no qualms about saying SOUL.

I've seen a lot of people theorising Spamton is being censored, and I agree that definitely seems to be the case. From a meta standpoint though I think it's interesting that the [[Hyperlink Blocked]] he mentioned so much in his first encounter doesn't seem to be mentioned at all, now the he has slightly more freedom of speech. I personally believe it's because revealing whatever Spamton was offering would have given too much away.

So how does this come back to the power of friendship? Well, upon defeating Spamton, whether through ACTing or beating the crap out of him, he realises the real treasure was the friends we made along the way.

He suggests that together, the three of them could "break their own strings"

Following the fight, there's a moment, where Susie notices that Kris is acting out of sorts. Whichever option you choose, it's obvious that Kris is shaken by the event, even going as far as to yell the answer if you let them admit how they're feeling.

The similarity to Kris's own situation, being puppeted by the player is a valid reason for the response. Whatever shook them did so with enough effect that the fear showed despite the players control. Either that, or Kris has something they didn't have, more control. More... Determination to overcome the soul.

That last part is reaching a little, which is saying something, given the amount of shaky evidence presented in this post, so I want to wrap this up mostly with something slightly unrelated, but still a Kris theory.

Why do they open the fountain?

There are a lot of theories, about being a pawn for Gaster, being an asshole, etc.

I'd like to think Kris is just a weird kid who's gotten caught up in a mess they don't really understand. They created a scenario where Susie would be forced to stay the night, and opened up a new dark world, that Susie, their friend, expressed a want for before they left the dark world.

A place where they could get away from their lives for a little while and have more adventures together. And I can understand the reasoning, opening a new fountain isn't bad, I mean, as long as they close it at the end, nobody gets hurt and they have more memories. Where's the harm in that? Right?

As much as Kris obviously wishes to be free of the soul's control, that very soul has helped them make real friends. It's taken them on adventures and well.

Somebody had to let it out before the morning.

So to summarise, the strongest power known to man is a group of lonely teenagers, if you run through a peaceful game murdering everything and then blame a video game character for the decision you made, I'll kick your ass, and I guess I'm a Kris stan now, oh god.

Papyrus deltarune conspiracy/ 1

I thought it would be fun to find as many Undertale references as I could in Deltarune and there's a lot of Papyrus ones! Mostly him and the Dark World

This post is primarily references, speculations, coincidences(?), similarities, parallels, and etc I found that could relate to Papyrus.

At Grillby’s the Grocery Store, Sans wanted to buy milk. 

Papyrus orders milk at Grillby’s. 

Both Susie and Papyrus invite people to visit the trash can. 

Both Papyrus & Lancer started fan clubs: 

An Egg is in Papyrus's HUB during the date/hangout. An Egg is in the Dark World. 

It is repeatedly mentioned Papyrus is wearing a costume in Undertale. Nobody thinks he looks normal. Papyrus calls it his “battle body”.

All these posts mention costumes and parties. Papyrus calls his outfit his “battle body”. 

In the Dark world, Kris and Susie’s normal outfits change into hero-esque costumes. Or more specifically, their “battle bodies” for the Dark World.

Additionally, calling it their “battle bodies” makes sense because Kris never had the option to battle on the surface (not even when Susie attacks them). It is only in the Dark World when they are finally able to fight: 

The FIGHTS in Undertale don’t match this layout. 

Undertale uses a 1-vs-X monsters 

But the Delatrune battle layout does kinda match Papyrus’s theoretical battle scenarios with his action figures. 

Deltarune has 3-vs-3 battles. Papyrus’s action figures are kinda set like a 4-vs-3 battle. Undertale never has fights with multiple players on both sides of the screen (ghost chara doesn’t count). 

Now the party aspects of the costume party dialogue. 

The Deltarune menu/flavor text has Kris’s team specifically labelled as a “party”

It is ONLY in the flavor text/menu. No character actually calls the group this specific title. Instead they are called a team, a gang, a group, a fanclub. (are they purposely dodging the word??)

And there was one one other party I neglected to mention from Undertale. 

The birthday party.

A darkner called Clover was having a birthday party the day Kris arrived in the Dark World. They invited Kris to their next birthday party. 

In Undertale (and Toby’s alarm clock post), Papyrus is involved in all the party dialogue. Deltarune used both definitions of a "party” in chapter 1. Papyrus wears a “battle body” that would probably look normal in the Dark World.

Papyrus delatrune conspiracy/ 3

Nobody knows where Sans and Papyrus are from in Undertale. 

They just showed up one day. 

The knight appeared recently in the Dark World. 

Sans and his little brother recently moved into town. 

Is it really a coincidence both of these people appeared around the same time. 

And Jevil’s talk about the strange knight (pacifist)

We have no idea if this is a joke or not. 

Papyrus’s sprite: 

Papyrus's overworld sprite has red gloves, red boots, and a red scarf. It’s mostly a white and red color scheme. And Seam uses the color red when referring to the strange knight. 

In Undertale, Papyrus wanted to join the Royal Guards. The guards are dressed in knight armor. 

Out of all the future occupations Papyrus has dreamt about, he’s very insistent he wants to join the royal guard:

In neutral runs where the royal guard gets disbanded, Papyrus has expressed himself to have no purpose anymore:  

It’s similar to the Darkners, who have no purpose besides helping Lighteners: 

And similarly to how Frisk helped Papyrus find a new purpose (in the surface), the knight gave Darkners (the King) purpose again:  

And probably the most obvious, both Papyrus and the Knight are mentioned but not shown in the deltarune demo. 

Aaand that’s it. 

Deltarune is set in an alternate universe from Undertale. The hidden references about Papyrus could/might hint what Papyrus in Deltarune is like. Or what his role is in the game. Or i’m over-speculating.
