sagittarius jupiter and venus are devotional as hell. devotion is about keeping your faith at a steady pace in moments of desperation. it’s about perservering without any obligation to.

sagittarius’s 4H is in its domicile there. it can devote for reasons that feel obvious for them. some can be heavy on worshipping their ancestors. the 6H is venus ruled, meaning, it keeps consistency with its principles. it does not backtrack into immorality when it is cornered. it is in its detriment in the 10th; others find these folks provocative because they are very trial and error (sometimes at the downfall of others). others also do not see or respect their devotion because of this.

derivative astrology is done by looking at houses from other houses! sounds weird, but it's not as complicated as it sounds;

say you wanted to find the 3rd house of the 6th house, first you'd count the 6th house, then the 7th house, then the 8th house would be your final stop! as long as you're counting the beginning house (in this case, the 6th) as the first, you'll end up where you need to be!

When you look at the 8th house, it’s about how you use other people’s resources. The 8H is the direct impact of your relationships (7H) with others as it’s the 2H of the 7H. I feel like the sayings “People will always remember how you made them feel” or “Being kind will get you further than being smart” I kept hearing when I was younger reminded me of the 8H. the fifth house and our diet: 🥘

yesterday, i made a series of polls on twitter for 5H placements to respond to — i started thinking more about the 5H using derivative astrology and it led me to this idea:

taurus is the sign that governs food and from a derivative standpoint, virgo would be the fifth house from taurus. virgo is the sign that rules digestion, the stomach, the digestive tract, illnesses, etc.

so i imagine the 5H and its rulers could be used to identify digestive problems + the remedies for those problems !!

mercury governs the sign of virgo (and gemini). this leads me to believe that people with the following placements are most likely to struggle with stomach / dietary issues:
