"Fuck fuck fuck fuck" were the only words echoing throughout the room, along with the sound of your skin clapping against Chan's abdomen. "Fuck c-chan, right..the-re," you said in between loud moans. Chan was fucking you mercilessly. Ass up, and your face is buried in the pillow, collecting your hot tears.
You could feel a pair of eyes burning into your body as Chan kept fucking you. It was your boyfriend. Minho. He was sitting in the corner, watching every move and analyzing every sound you were making. To begin with, it was his idea to have Chan fuck you. He insisted on it. “Fuck Minho How are you ever able to control yourself when you are with her ... F-fuckkk” Chan said. But Minho ignored his words and just kept staring at you. He was growing jealous. Hearing you moan like this over another man's cock was not sitting right with him. Minho got up from his place and climbed on the bed to face you. Chan got the signal and pulled your arm back, and his pace slowed down. This made you face Minhos crotch. He lifted your chin up using his fingers. You were looking up at him with teary eyes and a fucked-out face. His eyes were filled with lust and rage.. "You liked getting fucked by other men, huh?" He said it tauntingly. You shook your head. "Look, how well you are taking Chan’s cock? It feels good, right?" You shook your head once again. He slapped you, not too harshly. He leaned in closer. "Now don't say that, baby. You know how much it will hurt Channie Hyung?" Chan thrust harshly into you, making your face contort in pleasure. He looked at the older man and gave him a wink. You could see the way he was grinning. "Do you want to have Channie's cock or my cock inside of you now?" ,, "Y-y-you" he shoved his fingers into your mouth. Playing with your tongue. "You are not going to get it, love." Your face turned sad. Minho put his hand behind your head, gathering a handful of your hair. He pulled out his dick. "Let me fuck your face." He said it with a devilish smirk on his face. "Open wide, doll.." Chan leaned in and whispered in your ears. Minho tapped your cheek with his dick, and you opened your mouth willingly. He quickly shoved it in and started fucking your face. Your eyes filling up. Loud, muffled moans left your mouth as Chan started abusing your puffy cunt once again while Minho fucked into your mouth with no care. His grip on your hair tightened as you gagged and spasmed around his length, your throat perfectly molded for his dick. Minhos eyes were closed and his head thrown back; eyebrows furrowed as curses left his mouth. “S-shitt… You are doing so well, baby..” he said while pushing away the stray hairs on your face. Chan, on the other hand, was fucking you into tomorrow. His hands were on your ass cheeks, spreading them as he observed the way you sucked in his cock. "Minho, look at how well she is taking me … “ he praised you. Minho smirked. “Ya hear that slut? You like being someone else’s fuck toy, don't you?” You moaned against his dick. You felt Chans dick twitch inside of you, as well as Minhos, signaling that they were close. “Im going to fuck!” Chan loudly cursed at how you clenched around him. He eventually pulled out, the sudden emptiness making you whine and cry more. He started jerking himself off, trying to reach his final high. Minho did the same; he made you lay on your back as they both kneeled in front of your face. Their hands were picking up pace as they started jerking themselves. curses after curses left their mouths. You laid there as you fondled with their heavy cum filled balls. “G-give it to me.. please.. fuck- i need your cum all over my face…”
Chan busted over your chest and body. A heavy load of his creamy, clear cum coated your sweaty body. You moaned and coughed, spreading the mixture all over your swollen tits using chans Hand. Chan groaned as he watched you take his fingers and put them in your mouth, sucking and licking his cum-covered digits with a sultry smile. You turned to Minho before using your hands to guide his own down his length. “Cum on my face minho.. need it so bad… i need you.. come on you can do it..” you encourage him, as he seemed to be struggling. “Fuck-“ Minho grunted as he watched suck on his tip while you stared into his eyes. Within a blink of an eye, Minho shot his load onto your face. You let him paint your face with his cum. Your eye getting glued shut by the sticky substance. He took deep breaths, his eyes focused on the way your lips licked his cum off of them. Minho’s thumb scooped the glob of cum that was on your eye before spreading it over your clean lips and pushing his thumb through your lips for you to suck on. He had a shit-eating smirk on his face as he watched you. You turned over to look at Chan, who laid next to you, caressing your bruised hip. You gave him a smile.“Was I a good girl?” You asked both of them.
“The bestest girl.”

PART TWO
I can't help but love you Even though I try not to I can't help but want you I know that I'd die without you War of Hearts ~ Ruelle
You've known Chan your whole life, your mothers being best friends and having you only a few months apart. He's been like an older brother to you growing up, and you knew there'd never be a better friend than him. You've been heartbroken when he had to move to Korea to work hard for his dreams but supported him nevertheless. Growing up, you had a crush on him, which only grew as he got older. About a year ago, you went to visit him and got to know his roommate Minho, who happened to be the main dancer of his group. Minho was very polite and fun to be around, and you became friends fast. Going back home, you realized you had also developed a small crush on him. When you visited two months later, Chan very nervously confessed that he was bi, which didn't seem like an issue to you at all until he told you that he had a boyfriend now. Minho.
It broke your heart a little, realizing you wouldn't have a chance with either of them now, especially because you promised Chan to move in for good once you'd moved to Korea. You've spent days crying in your room, trying to be happy for your friends but pitying yourself at the same time. But of course, you moved in with them two months ago, knowing there was no chance you'd be able to afford your own apartment in the beginning. For a while, it went well until you started to get jealous of Minho. He had not only stolen your heart but also your first crush.
-
Minho sits next to you on the sofa, helping you with your assignments for university since you sometimes still struggle with Korean a little. You like his way of explaining things to you, making sure always to sprinkle in a joke when things get too frustrating. Everything is fine until Chan comes back home from the company, plops down on the sofa, and wraps his arms around Minho, pulling him into a loving kiss. "Missed you," he tells him gently, and Minho smiles sweetly, squeezing his hand.
"Of course you did," he teases lovingly. Chan hums softly, deepening the kiss and brushing back his hair lovingly. "Channie," Minho says softly since you're sitting right next to them.
"Oh please, she's seen almost as much of me as you have," he snorts, kissing him again. You glance at them and feel quite lonely, seeing how soft and caring they are with each other. This is all you ever wanted, with someone like Chan. Or Minho.
"There's dinner in the fridge, love," Minho tells him, pulling back.
"Great, I'm starving," he nods, and Minho laughs.
"Go take a shower, I'll warm it up for you," he says.
Chan's face covers with a beautiful smile. "Aw, you're the best, baby," he smiles. "Isn't he the best, Y/N?" he asks, finally acknowledging your existence.
"Chan," Minho says gently, getting up.
"Sure thing," you shrug, focusing on your laptop. "He's your boyfriend, you kinda have to say that."
Chan frowns at you. "Well, he wouldn't be mine if he wasn't," he tells you.
Mine. Something you had longed for him to call you for years. "So you're saying you'd replace him as soon as something better comes along?" you ask, knowing you are being mean now. You don’t dare to look at Minho but notice how he has stopped moving in the kitchen.
"That's not - Min, that's not what I said," Chan protests.
"Don't pull me into this," Minho laughs halfheartedly, slowly stirring his food.
"Yeah, don't, you can talk for yourself. You don't need your perfect boyfriend to do that for you as well, do you?" you ask, and Chan's jaw drops.
Minho bites back a sigh, closing his eyes for a moment. He knows what's going on; he knew from the moment he met you. The way you gazed at Chan wasn't how you looked at your best friend. He really likes you, he loves spending time with you…alone. As soon as Chan is there, you act all different, almost seeming jealous. "Chan, love, didn't you want to take a shower?" he asks gently, trying to deescalate the situation subtly.
Chan ignores him. "Why are you being such an ass?" he asks you. "You got enough sleep last night?"
"That was a little hard with you fucking his brains out last night," you give back sourly.
It grows very quiet in the room, and Chan stares at you, stunned. "Oh my god, I'm so sorry," Minho speaks up, and it's the first time you look at him. He looks embarrassed, uncomfortable even. "I told you the walls aren't that thick," he whispers to Chan.
"I wouldn't care, it's your home, after all. You're just not exactly quiet," you say, mentally slapping yourself for that comment. Minho's eyes widen, cheeks flushing red with embarrassment, and the spoon drops from his hand. "But you seemed to have a great time, so I guess that's fine."
Chan takes a look at Minho, who suddenly looks very anxious. And that pisses him off immensely. "Y/N."
"What, Chris?" you ask, switching to English. You know Minho has struggles keeping up with it. "You think I wanted this? You've always talked about us moving in together once I'm done with school."
"Well, I have a boyfriend now, you said you liked him. You said you'd love getting to know him more and move in with us," Chan snaps right back at you, having enough.
"I didn't say I'm okay with watching you make out with him on the sofa. Listening to you having sex next door. Hearing all that disgustingly cute stuff you tell him all day," you give back, and Chan's expression darkens.
"He was here first, idiot. This is his home as much as it is mine, and he was the one telling me you could move in with us," he tells you angrily. "He did nothing but being kind to you, making sure you feel welcomed and have everything you need."
"I seriously don't get it, Chris. You could've had everyone. You're warm and open to everyone. Why would you go for him? I know you think he's perfect, but he doesn't open up to you the way you do. How can you be with someone unable to express their emotions?" you ask, watching him grow pale. You know you're making up shit now, so pissed that Chan and Minho, the only two guys you ever fell in love with, had to fall for each other.
Chan turns to Minho, who is staring at you in pure shock. "She's talking shit, baby," he says worriedly.
Minho swallows hard, tears brimming his eyes, as he puts down the spoon and turns off the stove. "I-I think I'll let you two continue on your own," he says quietly, unable to meet your eyes.
Your heart sinks, realizing he must've understood more than you thought. "Oh god, I'm so sorry," you say timidly.
"Liar," Minho says, grabbing his phone from the sofa. Chan reaches out for him, but he gently shakes him off. "Please don't, this is a conversation I don't want to be part of anymore," he tells him. "Sorry for waking you up, it will probably happen again if you intend to stay here," Minho tells you before leaving without another word.
Chan looks after him, and you two remain silent for a moment. "What the fuck was that?" he asks then.
"I'm sorry," you tell him quietly.
"Something is seriously wrong with you," he says sharply, making you flinch a little. "He's amazing, and if you're too blind to see that, that's your issue. Don't make it mine."
You chew on your lower lip nervously. Yes, Minho is amazing. He is funny, he’s kind, he is incredibly beautiful and caring. That is exactly the issue. "Chan, come on."
"You switched languages to exclude him, how bitchy was that? And you fucking knew he understands, he just struggles with speaking it," he tells you, clearly pissed off. "That's so messed up, I don't even know what to say. I don't want to hear another word from you today, you've crossed a line."
"Fine," you huff and collect your things, quickly going to your room. You throw your things onto your desk and swallow hard. You've been really awful, Minho didn't deserve that. Sighing, you look around the room and groan, seeing all the things Minho had paid for when you came here. One time, Chan was working he had taken you on a shopping spree to make your room more comfortable. On the desk is a picture of the three of you and some of the day you met Minho's cats for the first time. You stare down at his small comments in your book so you won't forget them again when you study on your own. Now you feel like a complete bitch and only want to disappear.
Minho sits at the edge of their bed, staring out of the window. He's nervously picking his skin and chewing his lower lip at the same time. He doesn't turn when Chan steps inside, being able to tell it is him by the way he moves. The mattress dips beneath Chan's weight as he sits down next to him.
"Minho, baby?" he asks softly, and Minho takes his hand, still not looking at him. "You're okay?"
"No," Minho answers quietly. "I know you told me not to believe in those things," he tells him and feels fresh tears brim his eyes. "But why do I keep hearing them as soon as someone wants to hurt me?"
"Minnie," Chan says gently.
"People always go for your weak spots then," he says.
"Your weak spot is how insecure you get when someone talks shit about you, she knows that," he tells him. "It's not that you're cold or unable to open up."
"I thought I was being more open," he says quietly. "Also with her, even though I usually don't when I don't know someone that well. Fuck, Chan, I made her her favorite meal from home because she said she missed it today. Now I feel fucking stupid for doing it," he admits.
"She's being an asshole," he tells him, and Minho laughs weakly, shaking his head.
"She's hurt," he says. "She can't blame you, so she blames me."
"What? What did I do?" he asks confused.
Minho turns to him, a big tear rolling down his cheek. "You fell in love with me, Channie."
Chan stares at him before his eyes widen. "No way."
Minho smiles sadly as Chan cups his face, wiping his tears away. "I know that look. She's heartbroken. I can't blame her for that."
"Even if she is, which is ridiculous, it's not okay to hurt you," he says sourly.
"Love makes us do weird things," he shrugs his shoulders.
"You mean like me tripping down the stairs and landing on your flowers because I got so nervous?" he asks, and Minho laughs.
"Yeah, like that," he smiles gently at that memory.
"Oh, come here, baby," he says softly, pulling him into a tight hug. "No matter what others say, you'll be nothing less than perfect to me."
Minho squeezes him tightly, burying his face in his chest. "She's been your best friend your whole life, I hoped she'd like me." Which wasn't the whole truth. Minho thought about you a lot and started to like you more and more. Sometimes, he even thinks he is starting to fall for you.
Chan doesn't know what to say and kisses his head. "We'll figure this out, okay?" he asks after a moment, and Minho hums gently.
-
When you finally dare to leave your room again and make your way downstairs, you spot them on the sofa. Minho's sitting on Chan's lap cuddled up in his arms with him. His reddish eyes meet yours as you grab yourself a drink, and you can tell you hurt him. "There's still some left for you," he says suddenly, nodding towards the stove.
"Oh, thank you," you barely get out.
"You need help warming it up?" he asks, knowing you are struggling with the stove still.
You nod timidly, and Chan stares at you as if he wants to tell you that this is Minho's way of showing how much he cares about someone. Not words but actions.
Minho gets up and steps next to you, testing the temperature first. The only sound that can be heard is the TV playing in the background for a moment.
"Min, I'm sorry, I don't know what has gotten into me today," you tell him quietly enough only for him to hear.
Minho sighs softly and glances at you for a moment. "You know exactly what was going on."
"What?" you ask nervously.
"I'm not blind, Y/N. I know you've been in his life much longer than I have, and you've probably cared for him the way I do for a longer time as well," he says gently and grabs a plate for you. "I can't change the fact he told me he loves me… what should I have done? Neglect my own feelings? Hurting him and myself instead by pretending I wasn't in love with him the moment I met him?" he asks and fills your plate for you. "We can't decide who we fall in love with, but we also can't decide who falls in love with us," he tells you, and you'd like to be mad at him, but you can tell he means well. "Don't ruin what you have by being jealous of me," he says with a passionate smile, handing you your plate. "Now stop sulking and sit down, our show's about to start."
You stand still with your plate for a moment until he gently grabs your shoulders and pushes you forward. Chan watches the two of you quietly as his boyfriend makes sure his best friend feels comfortable. He can't believe how kind Minho's heart is sometimes as he also hands you a blanket. Minho climbs back into his lap, intertwining their hands, and relaxes into him. You quietly eat your dinner, paying attention to the screen and trying to ignore the fact that Chan hasn't said a word since you came. "It really tastes just like home," you tell him timidly.
"That's good to hear, kitten," Minho smiles at you shortly, and you feel even more guilty.
There was no way you could hate him. Minho was a literal angel, and you got why Chan fell that hard for him. Minho's naturally beautiful, he's funny, and he's the most caring person you know. The more time you spent together, the more you thought he even outdid your ever-caring Chan with that. You don't know why you chose to say exactly what he had told you his haters say about him. Because you knew he wasn't any of that.
Once the episode ends, Minho gets up and gently ruffles Chan's hair. "Don't stay up too long, you have a busy day tomorrow."
"I'll try," Chan nods and smiles as Minho leans down, cups his face, and kisses him sweetly.
Minho grabs your plate as he passes you by, gently patting your shoulder. "You stay calm tomorrow during your exam, you'll do great."
"Thank you," you say quietly. When you look over at Chan, he's giving you a look that screams "bitch are you serious?". You wait until Minho's upstairs and turn a little. "Can we talk about this?"
"I'm not the one you should talk about that to," he shook his head.
"I hurt you too," you try gently.
"I don't know what was going on, and I don't think I want to," he tells you firmly. "You have to get one thing, Y/N. He's my boyfriend, he means everything to me, and he makes me so damn happy, which you wanted after that shitty training period. I know this might make you feel left out at times, and I'm sorry about that, I really am, but I won't start hiding in my own house."
"I get that," you nod gently.
"I love you, but if you ever talk shit about him like that, you'll get into serious trouble with me," Chan tells you. "Don't think I wouldn't tell him the same if it had been the other way around."
"Okay," you whisper timidly.
Chan searches your eyes for a moment. "Min cares about you so much more than you could even imagine," he tells you. "I wish you could see that." Something that Minho had told him in the beginning was that he was open to the idea of having more than one partner. Chan knew you were Minho's type, and how he cared for you showed him he was probably right about his suspicion of Min developing a crush on you. He couldn’t blame him for that because you were beautiful inside out.
“What?” you ask, confused.
“You’ve been hopelessly romantic for as long as I can remember, but you’re so blind when it’s right in front of your eyes,” he sighs softly and gets up. “I’m gonna get some sleep now, I suggest you fix this with him tomorrow. I’ll kick your ass if you didn’t when I’m back home.”
“Relax,” you sigh softly. “I already tried to apologize.”
“You tried?” he asks, amused.
“Yeah, he… never mind,” you tell him, ignoring his confused expression.
-
Minho gently blows a strand of hair from his eyes, leaning against his car. He adjusts his sunglasses as someone looks at him suspiciously. He knows the look; people wondering if it’s actually him and debating if they should walk up to him or not. Shoving his hands into his coat pockets, he crosses his legs casually and sighs softly, squinting his eyes as he looks up the facade of the university building.
“What’s so interesting up there?” you ask, turning and looking up as well.
Minho chuckles softly. “Doesn’t it look like rain later?” he asks, looking back at you as you turn, your hair falling down your shoulders as you do. He smiles a little to himself as he takes in the sight of you and eases your bag from your hands. “How was the exam, kitten?” he asks curiously.
You search his eyes, wondering if he was fucking with you. But there’s no anger, no disgust, and not even the hurt that had filled his beautiful brown orbs only yesterday. He seems…genuinely happy to see you. “I think I did alright.”
“Great,” he nods, satisfied.
“What-what are you- I didn’t expect to see you here today,” you finally get out, squinting your eyes at him.
“Why?” he asks calmly.
“I-uhm-I mean-,” you stammer and swallow as he reaches up, brushing back your hair for you.
“This is me being open,” he tells you kindly. “I know I’m not great with words, but Channie always says my actions speak for me, and I started to like that thought. So no, even though you’ve been a complete dick yesterday, I won’t let you take the bus and risk getting soaked.”
“I…I hope you know I didn’t mean what I said yesterday,” you tell him.
“Why did you say it then?” he asks, making you nervous. He searches your eyes for a moment before nodding to himself. “You did want to hurt me. Maybe even get me so far that I'd pick a fight with Chan, saying what a shitty best friend he has, which would lead to him being pissed at me.”
You watch him put your bag in the back of his car and open the door for you. “Minho,” you try gently.
“Get in,” he says firmly, and you comply immediately. He gets in himself, buckles up, and starts the car. "I may seem like it sometimes but believe me, I'm not that easily truly pissed off. So, that backfired," he says, driving onto the road. "What did you expect to happen? That we'd break up, and you'd be there comforting him, and he'd end up falling for you?" he asks, raising his eyebrows at you, almost amused.
"Come on, I wouldn't think of something like that," you snort.
He shrugs his shoulders and focuses back on the road. "I don't know what the fuck you thought. Do you know what two days ago meant for me and Chan?"
"No," you shook your head.
"Two days ago, the night we, unfortunately, kept you up, it's been one and a half years ago that he asked me to be his boyfriend," Minho tells you, and your face falls as you start calculating in your head. "When I got to know you about a year ago, I asked him not to tell you yet because I wanted to get to know you on a neutral basis. In your eyes, I was his roommate, and I think we clicked rather quickly."
You stare at him, tears brimming your eyes. Chan told you seven months into the relationship that Minho was his boyfriend. Seven months. "You're lying. He wouldn't keep that a secret for so long."
Minho glances at you, and compassion laces his features. "He was scared you'd judge him for it at first. Then, after five months, we decided to move in together, and we weren't sure if it would work out once it was only the two of us. Around that time, you visited, and after I told him, he should tell you the next time you visit."
"Five months is a little rushed, don't you think?" you ask, wondering why that was the one thing that came to your mind.
"Let me put it this way, your best friend is incredibly horny, and it got exhausting hiding from our friends all the time," Minho tells you and rolls his eyes to himself. "But yes, it was a little rushed."
You nod slowly before staring at the road ahead stubbornly. "Does he know you're telling me this now? The relationship stuff?"
"No," Minho shakes his head. "We trust each other, he'll be fine with it."
"That's not your decision to make," you frown.
"It's my relationship as much as it is his. You're acting weird towards me, not him, so I can tell you whatever I want, my dear," he says patiently. "You're in love with him?" he asks as he stops at a red light and looks at you.
You swallow hard and close your eyes in defeat. "I've been in love with him for years," you whisper.
"And you never told him?" he asks gently.
"No," you shake your head. "I was too afraid he'd push me away, and I'd ruin our friendship."
"God, you're just like him," Minho groans softly. "When I met him, he couldn't stop talking about that girl he knew back in Australia and how much she meant to him. It was obvious he had a crush on her."
"What?" you ask quietly.
"We got closer, and I fell for him more with every passing day. I tried to tell myself to stop it because I didn't think I'd stand a chance against you," Minho tells you, parking the car in front of the house. He turns the keys and leans back in his seat. "It felt awful having him right there but knowing he wasn't mine and he'd never be. I was starting to give up, but then, one night, he showed up and told me that he developed feelings for a guy to test my reaction. Y/N, when he kissed me, I felt whole again for the first time in ages," he says, and you can tell he's getting emotional. "I love him so much, and I can't imagine a life without him by my side anymore. He's everything I have, and I -," he cuts himself off as he feels tears brimming his eyes. "I know how you feel, okay? I don't want to feel threatened by you. I really don't because then I'll start getting nasty too," he says very quietly. “I’ll fuck you up if you try and destroy what we have, I mean it.”
You swallow hard, trying to process what he has just revealed. Chan had a crush on you when he came to Korea? "Minho, I had no idea," you say gently, placing your hand on his thigh.
"I try not to think of it that way, but I wasn't his first choice, you know. It was you, and when I met you, I knew why," he tells you, blinking back tears. "Stop feeling jealous about that. I should be the one scared to lose Chan in case he decides you're better for him after all. I wouldn't even blame him because you're right. I have trouble opening up because I've been hurt before, but I'm learning because I trust him."
"Hey," you say gently. "Don't you ever believe you're something less than Chan's first choice. He loved you enough to be brave and offer his heart. You should've seen how protective he got yesterday."
Minho presses his lips together tightly before looking at you again. Your breath stops as tears threaten to spill from his eyes, his hands trembling. "You didn't see the hope in his eyes when I told him you're in love with him."
You hesitantly take his hand, and he lets you. "Minnie, I mean it. I've been an asshole and have no right to destroy what you two have. You're perfect for him, and maybe that's what pissed me off so much; I can't find any flaws," you tell him.
"There are a lot," he shakes his head.
"I highly doubt that," you say, and he laughs weakly. "I mean, look at you. You're funny, you're smart, you're so caring and kind. You're an incredible dancer and singer. You have very pretty eyes and-."
"You think I have pretty eyes?" he asks, blushing softly.
"And very kissable-looking lips," you nod. "No wonder he keeps on harassing you with kisses no matter what you do," you say, pulling a genuine laugh from him.
Minho hastily wipes away a single tear falling down his cheek and exhales shakily. "I'm sorry he wasn't brave enough to tell you."
"Don't be," you shake your head.
"You deserve to be loved just as much as he does," he tells you, squeezing your hand tightly. "I'm…I'm okay with sharing, Chan," he says, searching your eyes observantly. "But not with losing him."
You need a moment to get what he means. "You mean you'd be okay if I had a relationship with Chan at the same time as you do?"
Minho nods very slowly. "I have no idea if that's what he wants…but I'll tell him that I won't be in the way if that's something he wants."
"What if that’s not all I want?" you ask, and insecurity flickers in his eyes, which makes you wonder if that's what Chan had meant yesterday. Did Minho care about you that way?
"You mean…," he trails off, sinking into your curious eyes. Did you mean it the way he thinks you did?
"I do think you have very pretty eyes..and kissable lips. I've been thinking about that since the day we met," you admit, and his lips part in surprise. Minho leans in at the same time as you do, and you search each other's eyes for another moment before your lips meet. Fuck, Chan was right, he's an incredible kisser. Minho's hand shoots up, resting on your cheek and pulling you in closer.
Suddenly, he pulls back and stares at you with wide eyes. "Fuck, I shouldn't have - oh god, I'm sorry," he stammers. "I should've talked to him first."
"Minho, calm down," you tell him, but he's already pulling the keys and getting out. "Fuck," you whisper to yourself.
-
When Chan comes home, Minho's sitting at the kitchen island, bracing his head on his hand. He looks deep in thought, anxious even. "Baby?" he asks worriedly, and Minho's eyes flicker up at him. "What's wrong?"
"I fucked up," he whispers.
"What?" he asks confused, and puts down his bag before sitting down opposite him.
"I love you, you know that, right?" Minho asks timidly.
"Of course I do," he assures him and offers his hand. Minho takes it, and Chan frowns, noticing he is shaking.
"I - uhm- remember when I told you that I'm open about having more than one partner?" he asks, and Chan nods gently. "And I also promised to tell you if that's ever the case before anything happens, right?"
Chan nods and straightens up a little. "Did something happen?" he asks gently.
"I picked her up, and we talked about yesterday. I told her that I always thought I'd never have a chance because of your crush on her and how things developed then," Minho starts, and Chan watches him intently. "She seemed to get it and got really sweet. I told her that if you'd have no issue, I'm willing to share you and-," he looks up, almost a little panicked, as you walk down the stairs.
Chan slowly turns his head, and meeting your eyes, he knows. He looks back at Minho, who looks incredibly guilty and swallows hard. "I kissed him," you say, bracing yourself for an outburst of Chan.
"You kissed my boyfriend?" Chan asks, very slowly looking back at you.
"Yes," you say quietly. "I know what you see in him, Chan, I'd be blind if I didn't."
"I told you to talk to him," he says before laughing. "I didn't think you'd take this a whole step further," he grins.
"You're not mad?" Minho asks and tilts his head at him.
"We've talked about this, baby. I could tell you like her more than a friend, and she's so desperate for love she doesn't pick up on a damn signal," he rolls his eyes at you. "I knew one day I'd come home, and you'd tell me you met someone. It's even better knowing it's my best friend."
Minho's face softens, and he visibly relaxes. "And you're okay with that?"
Chan smiles at him fondly. "I am very okay with that."
“Great…because there’s more,” Minho nods gently, and Chan frowns at him.
“More?” he asks puzzled.

Tumblr media
pairing: Kevin x fem reader (ft. Verivery Minchan)
genre: best friends to lovers!au, angst, fluff.
word count: 13.2K.
summary: Kevin has loved you for so long, having to hear many times how much you’d like to find someone like him. He’s made it obvious, but since you don’t seem to hear the lightning, maybe he would have to say it in a love song.
Your feet made their way straight to the cafeteria. Arm wrapped with your best friend’s as the both of you watched the way how every step you took was in perfect sync, enjoying it and innocently finding it funny, like you did when you two were younger. Chatting about anything and everything, just giggling like the pair of idiots the rest of the campus probably thought you were.
Having your eyes glued to your matching feet, resulted in you bumping into someone. Your eyes immediately shot up a look with shock, placed your free hand to rub your now sore arm and absent-mindedly unlinking your arm from Kevin’s. Your friend kept silent, just staring at the intruder of your little moment, sensing the way your body immediately tensed, eyes wandering between you, and the person in question.
“I’m s-sorry!” You stammered, feeling your breath stuck in your throat the moment you saw the person that had collided with you.
Jet black, fluffy hair that dangled perfectly over his dark eyes. Small nose, plush lips with a very well defined cupid’s bow, and pearl white teeth that showed up as soon as he smiled apologetically, bowing to you.
“No, I’m sorry. I hope I didn’t hurt you, are you okay?” He asked, his deep voice sending butterflies to your stomach right away. You felt your heart throb at his concern, cheeks burning in embarrassment and all the words you could’ve said in either apology or response, suddenly vanishing from your mind as if you had lost the ability to speak. You managed to nod your head somehow, too caught up in his handsome features and your fear of having stupid words promptly falling from your mouth at the slightest try. “Good. I wasn’t looking properly. Again, I’m sorry. I’ll see you around.”
With a subtle smile on his lips and those words, he just walked away. Your head turning around, letting your eyes  shamelessly follow his silhouette until he got lost among the people.
Hong Minchan. A senior you had always had a crush on. Top student, handsome, well-spoken and humble. The person every guy wished to be, and every girl wanted to have a date with... Including you.
He was off limits, too out of your league and you were perfectly aware of it. Still, you just couldn’t help yourself from becoming some sort of statue whenever he was around. He probably knew at that point about it, considering how long your eyes remained on him and his sculpted body, making yourself feel like just another one of his stalkers, the ones that were just waiting for the littlest bit of his attention to make a move on him with some shameless flirting.
Your friend cleared his throat, pulling you out of your thoughts and snapping you back to reality. You turned your head to look at him, as he raised a brow. He rolled his eyes and moved his hand to place it under your chin, gently pushing your jaw upwards and closing your open mouth.
“Close your mouth, you’ll catch a fly.” He just said, starting to walk again, now with his hands tucked in his pockets.
“Oh my god. Was I too obvious?” You asked, rushing to follow him and finally matching his pace again, panicking at the simple idea of making a fool of yourself in front of someone like Minchan.
“Why do you ask?” He looked at you, pulling one of his hands out of his pocket and rubbing his chin with his fingers as if he was deep in thoughts, although it was more than obvious that he was just clearly ready to tease you. “Was it because of the way you couldn’t even blink, or maybe because your brain couldn’t either formulate sentences or at least keeping your mouth closed?”
You smacked his arm and he chuckled, then pouted, rubbing his arm and faking sadness.
“Kevin! Oh god, why did you let me embarrass myself like that?” You whined, tugging on his sleeve in desperation. He clicked his tongue, opening the door for you to walk into the cafeteria, with him following afterwards.
“Ah come on. It was cute. Just make sure to close your mouth next time though, you could’ve drooled and now, that wouldn’t have been cute.” He added, making his way to the table.
You groaned, folding your arms over your chest like a little girl throwing a tantrum, finding the rest of your friends already seated and eating lunch. You sat between Changmin and Chanhee, smiling to them as you greeted each other.
“Why are you grumpy today?” Younghoon, one of your older friends asked from across the table, lips curled up in amusement. Kevin took a sit next to him and shrugged, as if the question had been asked to him instead.
“She’s mad because she bumped into the guy she has a crush on and her brain stopped working.”
Chuckles resounding around you at your flustered state. You only buried your head between your hands, right after you had sent enough daggers towards Kevin with your eyes.
“Ah come on, I’m sure it wasn’t that bad.” Hyunjae spoke then, munching on a piece of bread.
“It was definitely not the way I wanted him to know I exist.” You stated, sighing as you slid your hands down from your face. Chanhee giggled and rubbed your back, sympathetic to your cringe, before he offered you some of his fries. You looked at him and smiled, throwing one into your mouth.
“Okay but now being serious.” Kevin continued. “You were just shocked. Whoever’s gonna like you, will like you even when your brain shuts down.” He stated, resting his chin in he palm of his hand.
“Yeah, now try to fix it, Moon.” You said back. He just grinned and outstretched his hand across the table, grabbing yours and giving it a light squeeze.
“You know I’m just messing with you, dear.” He assured, but you didn’t even react at the sudden pet name. “Don’t think too much about it, alright? You’re great the way you are. Again, I think your reaction was cute.”
You rolled your eyes at him, but smiled anyways. You couldn’t stay mad at Kevin, not when you knew him that well. He was the kind of person who was always joking around and teasing people, even sometimes, clowning himself. Although you were used to his pranks, it seemed like he found your reactions fun enough to be his victim in reiterated occasions. He knew how easily you got pissed and he found it amusing. Aside from that, he was always a true sweetheart, being there for you whenever you needed him to, even if you didn’t want anyone around, he would just refuse to leave you alone if he knew you were struggling with something. That’s what made him stand out from the rest, what made him unique, and what made him your favorite person in the whole world. After all, he had been by your side ever since you two were in kindergarten.
“That’s cheesy, but I must admit that he’s right.” Hyunjae agreed with a nod. You pulled your hand away from Kevin’s grip and rubbed your face, sighing again.
“Whatever... It’s not like I was expecting Hong Minchan to think I’m cute or be interested in me anyways. He’s way out of my league, or anyone’s league, indeed.” You shrugged.
Kevin frowned, but before he could speak, Younghoon stole the words away from him.
“Why would you say that?” He asked, cocking his head in confusion at your self-consciousness. “I don’t see anything wrong with you.”
You let out a humorless laugh.
“He is super handsome, super nice and super talented. I’m just plain, ill-mannered, untidy and scruffy.” You stated, as if you were describing personality traits.
Kevin scoffed, waving his hand to dismiss the words you had said.
“Why are you so hard on yourself?” He asked with a judging look on his face.  “Those are not the adjectives that describe you correctly. You’re just using negative ones for you and positive ones for him, and that’s not how it works.”
“Then, which ones should I use to describe myself?” You asked in return, challenging him.
Kevin didn’t think much, opening his mouth to just let the first things he thought about you slip from his mouth.
“You’re smart, caring, creative, bright.” He started, using his fingers to count one  by one. “You’re also compassionate, determined, easygoing, loyal, passionate, reliable... Oh and you have a really pretty smile, a hair that smells nice, big bright eyes and a cute laugh, and-” His words trailed off with ease, until he realized his friends were trying to stifle laughter at the way he got so carried away and stopped, clearing his throat and wanting the ground to swallow him right then and there. He felt his heart pounding, terrified that he had just exposed the love for you he had worked so hard to bottle up for years that easily. Still, Kevin being Kevin, just laughed it off as if nothing happened.
“Maybe you should date Kevin instead.” Hyunjae joked, chuckling in amusement at his friend’s way of praising you. Kevin tried to play it cool, but was silently panicking about the feeling of his cheeks burning, thinking that the sudden blush on his face would give him away.
You smiled, being the one to cock your brow at him this time.
“As if, Hyunjae. Kevin is my soulmate, we’re literally like siblings... He’s the only one who knows all my deepest secrets. But I get it. I’m your best friend and that’s what makes you see so many good things in me, Kev. Thank you, but we both know that I’m far from being all of that.”
Your words hit him deeply. The way you invalidated his compliments while also throwing him in the friendzone was something he could never stop from hurting him, no matter how much he tried. Still, he always had to pretend like your words didn’t cut like knives, always showing his best smile for you. Mantaining a facade of an implicit, perfect friendship on the surface while underneath, he was hoping that maybe someday you could take him seriously.
“If someone doesn’t like me at the end, you’ll be the one to carry with the consequences.” You added in a warn, pointing your finger at him. He laughed and gave you a nod.
“Don’t worry, even if no one liked you, I always will.”

Later that day, you and Kevin were spending some time in the music classroom. His eyes fixed on the piano keys in front of him as he made magic with his fingertips, the most beautiful melody always filling the room whenever Kevin decided to play an instrument.
You stared at him in awe, resting your chin in the palm of your hand on top of the piano. The hairs on your body standing up at the little performance he was making for you.
It was like walking on clouds. You loved how something so simple he did could take you to another world, where nothing mattered, where nothing hurt. It had always been that way, ever since he you two were children and he learned how to play. You were his number one fan, and he loved playing for you.
“How can you be so talented?” You mumbled, still mesmerized as his eyes flew in your direction, a smirk forming on his lips. “I wish I was as artistic as you are.” You pouted, making him chuckle.
Kevin stood up from his seat, and gestured for you to take his place. You tilted your head in confusion, brows furrowed.
“Come on, show me what you got.”
You held back a laugh, shaking your head.
“Are you crazy? I don’t play the piano.”
Kevin clicked his tongue, walking in your direction and placing his hands on your shoulders to spin you around and take you to the now empty seat.
“Just try.” He said, patting your head as he walked around the piano, now standing in the spot you previously were on.
You rolled your eyes, moving your hands to the keys and starting to play the only melody you knew, twinkle twinkle little star.
Kevin just stood there and watched your every move, finding the way you were so focused on the task incredibly adorable. He couldn’t help but smile, you looked so innocent, so beautiful like you always were. So effortlessly endearing, melting his heart with the smallest actions. He looked at you with adoration, his eyes probably sparkling as his heart hammered against his chest. If it wasn’t for how dense you were, his face would’ve given him away.
You scoffed, folding your arms over your chest in frustration and absent-mindedly pulling him out of his thoughts.
“That’s it. Your lame performance.”
Kevin chuckled.
“That was really lame, indeed.” He said, walking to you and gesturing for you to move aside. “But it was really cute.” He added, sitting right beside you.
You glared at him, pursing your lips in disapproval.
“I’m sorry for not being a musical genius like you, Mr. Moon.” You rolled your eyes.
“Here, I’ll teach you something.”
Kevin grabbed your hands and placed them back on the keys, with his atop of yours for guidance. He started playing softly, holding your hand and dragging your fingers along with his. His hand was warm and his touch as delicate as the inside of a rose. You let him take the lead, glancing up at his focused expression from time to time, not thinking about getting caught staring, until you did.
“You’re supposed to look at the keys, not me.” He said, seeing you stifle a laughter, flicking your forehead with his fingers.
You winced in pain, bringing your hands to the sore area seconds before the two of you bursted into laughter.
“You intimidated me.” You laughed. “It’s so weird seeing your ugly face from up close.”
His mouth went agape in shock, placing his hand on his chest as he pretended to be hurt.
“Ouch? That’s rude.” He stated, shaking his head. “Be thankful that you didn’t have to look at yourself from my perspective, though. You looked like a psychopath who was thinking a hundred ways of slitting my throat.”
You laughed even louder, pushing on his shoulder and throwing your head back in laughter, him joining you right away.
Once again, Kevin’s heart jumped desperately inside his chest. The simple sound of your laugh and the way you still looked like that little kid he grew up with sent a whole zoo to his stomach.
He adored everything about you, and he wanted to be the reason behind that happiness for as long as he lived.
And that’s why he always stared at you when you two were alone, drinking every single one of gestures in. Sometimes it lingered a bit too much, but again, you never seemed to notice.
Sadly, you were still oblivious to the signs. Everyone seemed to notice, everyone but you.
He stood up from his seat, outstretching his hand for you to take, his lips curling up in a soft smile.
“Let’s take you home, yeah? You better be thinking about the movie we’re going to watch tonight.”
You stared at his hand for a second before you smiled and grabbed it. He pulled you up from the seat and offered his arm for you to link yours, which of course, you did.
“I have a few ones in mind.” You said as you two made your way to the door.
“I hope it isn’t another one of Changmin’s recommendations...” He added, leaving the room with you.

Spring break had finally arrived, and you already had plans with your friends. Kevin had picked you up early in the morning for a pool day at the dorms with the rest of the boys, stopping at the grocery store to buy some snacks on the way.
“Should we buy sweets, spicy or salty stuff?” You asked as you wandered around the store with Kevin, eyeing every food item in the way.
Kevin shrugged.
“Whatever you want, they would even eat rocks, especially Haknyeon. Just pick things you like or something.” He said, waving his hand to dismiss your doubts. “I’ll go to the other end of the store for some alcohol and other sweet beverages, alright?”
You nodded at him with a quick glance, already focused on your task. He smiled and walked away from you, disappearing from your sight.
“Hmmm. I’ll go with the chips first.” You hummed, examining the items on the shelves. “Oh! Kkokkalcorn! Definitely buying this.” You smiled to yourself, grabbing two bags and placing them on the shopping cart. You looked at all the options and felt as excited as a child in a toy store. “ Tteokbokki Chips, and Honey Butter Chips too!” You exclaimed with the biggest grin, grabbing the bags and again, throwing them into the cart. You stared down at what you already got, cocking your mouth and sighing. “I guess that’s it for the chips.” You mumbled, walking around the cart and placing your hands on the handle, ready to push and start walking until your inner voice made you rethink your decision. “Hmm.. Maybe just one more...” You whispered, moving to grab one last bag. “Goguma Kkang” You added, placing it on the cart and smiling contently, moving to the next aisle.
You made your way across the aisle filled with a ton of options for sweets. Having a few in mind already, you went straight to them, not even thinking before you just picked some and threw them with the rest of the items. “Orion Choco Pie, Choco Biscuits.” Fully focused, you spotted the last item on your list, that unfortunately for you, was placed high on the shelf. “Ah, fucking Peperos!” You grunted, standing on your tiptoes as you tried your best to reach the little box in the exact moment another hand brushed with yours accidentally. You pulled your hand away and went back to stand on your feet as your head turned right.
“Sorry” You muttered, eyes flying open as soon as you saw the person in question. The tall masculine figure stood right there beside you, uncomfortably close as he seemed to be thinking about having the same snack as you.
A smile formed on his lips, a light chuckle leaving his mouth as he lowered his arm.
“Hey, it’s you again.” He smiled. “Sorry, I didn’t notice you were trying to reach the same thing.” He continued, outstretching his hand to grab one of the boxes. “Do you want the original, almond or the white cookie flavored ones?”
Words seemed to be stuck in the tip of your tongue along with your lack of breathing. Your eyes couldn’t help but fix on his handsome face, dressed so casually with a plain black tee, a red plaid shirt and a pair of black ripped jeans with sneakers. Still he managed to look like someone who had been sent straight from the heavens. His black locks were naturally wavy, still dangling over his eyes that remained on you. Yours wandered from his face to his hand lifted in the air, detailing every single bracelet or ring that adorned his wrist and fingers before you looked back at his face, now cocked to the side as he waited for your answer.
As soon as you noticed the confusion on his face and the way your eyes had been on him for too long, you blinked a few times and swallowed, your throat dry as you mentally slapped yourself for having your mouth agape in front of him.
Thankfully Kevin wasn’t around to see you making a fool of yourself all over again.
“Oh, u-um, one of each, p-please.” You finally spoke way lower than you intended, and in addition to that, stuttering. Great job.
Minchan nodded with a smile, grabbing the three boxes with a one of his large hands, then handing them over to you as he looked down due to the height difference.
Your shaky hands clasped around the cardboard boxes, but nervously dropping them on the floor.
Eyes glued to the mess you made, your cheeks flushed in pink as you automatically squatted down to pick the boxes up, not noticing that Minchan, again, seemed to be thinking the same thing, moving to pick them up as well at the same time, resulting on a collision of your heads together.
You reeled backwards to the floor, landing on your butt as if you couldn’t be more embarrassing. Grimacing in pain, you rubbed your forehead at the stinging pain. Minchan rubbed his as well, scrunching his face as a soft chuckle emanated from his lips.
He stood up, outstretching his hand for you to help you up. You hesitated, but took it anyways before he pulled you off the floor. Your cheeks burned, you wanted the ground to swallow you, but he seemed to always keep his cool.
“Are you okay?” He asked then, releasing the grip on your hand and still smiling before he leaned down to collect the boxes from the floor and place them himself inside your cart.
“I am, I’m so sorry.” You muttered, bowing to him. “Thank you for your help.”
“What is your name?” He suddenly asked, and you shot him a look of shock. Never in your wildest dreams you thought Hong Minchan would want to know your name.
Maybe he just wanted to know it so he could have a good laugh with his friends.
“I... I’m y/n.” You stuttered again, clenching your jaw for not being able to act normally around him. You were sure that he was thinking that you were a weirdo at that point.
“I’m Minchan.” He said, his voice deep but sweet as honey as he offered his hand for you again.
That made three times in a row that day when you were able to touch his hands.
His fingers clasped around yours, and you were hoping he didn’t notice the sweat in your palms as he gently shook it.
“I know.” Minchan tilted his head at your comment, releasing your hand. You almost slapped your forehead. Fuck. “I-I m-mean, I’ve heard about you at school.”
He then nodded, satisfied with your answer.
“Well y/n... It seems like we keep bumping into each other.” He said, tucking his hand in his pocket and pulling his phone out. “I better ask for your number, it’d be such a shame if this was fate and we didn’t know.”
Your heart raced, so fast that you feared he would be able to hear it. You couldn’t help but grin. It felt like a dream, one of the best looking guys at school was asking for your number even after you had embarrassed yourself like a clown in front of him.
Kevin carried the boxes filled with beverages and beer, looking for you at the aisle where he had left you. When he didn’t find you there, he instantly knew where to find you, so he went there, to the aisle of sweets.
And that’s when he saw you, smiling widely, cheeks tinted in red and sparkly eyes. With him, again.
His smile vanished from his face and his heart sank at the sight of you talking happily with Minchan and handing him his phone back. He cursed under his breath, letting out a frustrated sigh as the overwhelming need of dropping everything and just run away consumed him, but he knew he couldn’t. He had no reasons to, at least not in your eyes.
It was ridiculous. You weren’t at school and he still seemed to always appear in the worst moments. If Kevin ever took a step, Minchan had already taken two ahead. He hated how frustrating it was, how a knot formed in his throat. He didn’t ask to feel that way, why was life adding salt to the wound?
He kept approaching you, and thankfully Minchan left with a wave of his hand before he reached you and the cart. Not saying anything, he placed the drinks inside, grabbing the handle.
“Ready?” He asked you, not even daring to mention what had obviously happened.
You were grinning, and he knew you well enough to see how badly you wanted to squeal. You nodded excitedly, linking your arm with his. He felt like shit, but you looked so cute, he couldn’t help the corners of his mouth lifting up in a subtle smile.
“You won’t believe what just happened, Kev. The universe must be against me, but also in my favor.”
Kevin knew what it was all about, but he had no option, he had to keep bottling up his feelings and just let you ramble while he paid for the snacks.
“What happened? Tell me.” He said, pulling the items out of the cart and handing them to the cashier, eyes fixated on his task, bracing himself to hear you being overly excited for some other guy who wasn’t him.
“So... I was picking the sweet snacks, and the stupid peperos were too high for me...”
Kevin nodded, glancing at you every now and then to let you know he was being attentive. His stomach churned, your eyes glowed when you talked about Minchan, how he wished you looked like that while talking about him.
“And then our heads literally collided... I felt so fucking dumb but he was so sweet and just laughed.”
How’s that you were still oblivious? Why couldn’t you see in front of your nose? Kevin was always there for you, always treated you like a princess, but even when he turned his charms up for you, you didn’t even notice.
But this guy barely talked to you a couple of times and you wouldn’t stop talking about how perfect he was.
“It was like destiny or something like that, Kev. I swear. It’s like all the stars and planets finally aligned. The fact that he asked for my number when I was so fucking dumb in front of him makes it clear. I never thought it’d happen, but I think he might like me!” You continued excitedly, jumping on the balls of your feet.
Kevin grabbed the plastic bags and handed the lightest one to you. He didn’t speak at all, he just smiled sweetly at you.
You found it weird, he was never that quiet... But you were too excited to give it a second thought.
“I left for like five minutes and now you have your whole k-drama happening.” He half-joked as he walked to the taxi that was waiting for the both of you. You pouted, lifting your hand and punching him in the arm.
“If you say it that way... It sounds like I’m being a delulu.”
He opened the sliding door and placed the bags in the back, helping you jump and following behind you before he closed the door.
“You’re not. I’m happy for you.” He said, a sad smile on his face that you didn’t quite notice back then.
However, his quietness was worrying you a while later.
“Are you okay? You’re too quiet.” You said, placing a hand on his thigh. He almost shuddered at your sudden touch, eyes darting in your direction as a light smile formed on his lips, nodding.
“Yes, I’m okay. It’s just a headache.”
You pouted.
“Do you want some painkillers or something? Can I be of help?”
He quickly shook his head, faking a laugh.
“Don’t overreact, I’m okay.” He assured, patting your head in reassurance.
You had no option but take him at his word.
Tumblr media
It seemed like Kevin went back to his normal self as soon as the two of you arrived at the dorms. You were greeted by all the boys who didn’t hesitate to snatch all the snacks from your hands as soon as you walked through the door.
It was evening already, and half of them were inside the pool playing some volleyball.
“y/n, why haven’t you gotten inside yet? You’ve been glued to the table eating the snacks since we arrived!” Eric yelled from the pool, interrupting your chattering with Chanhee and Younghoon in the process.
You rolled your eyes, munching on a chip before you stood up, shaking the crumples off your hands.
“Can’t a girl eat trash in piece?” You asked, placing your hands on your hips. Some of the boys chuckling at your reaction.
“Just get in! The water is nice!”
You sighed, stripping yourself from your clothes and leaving yourself in your bathing suit. The boys started to whistle teasingly and your brows furrowed, cheeks tinted in a deep shade of red.
“You perverts!” You whined, hugging yourself in a desperate try to cover up.
You knew your friends were just messing with you, they liked to make everyone as uncomfortable as possible, and you hated to get shy by just a dumb teasing.
However, there was someone who had his eyes glued to you and your half-exposed body. Someone who was losing track of time and space as the only thing he was able to hear was his heart racing and pulse hammering in his ears.
He had seen you that way before, a thousand times even... But every time he did, he found himself trapped in the same situation. Utterly and absolutely spellbound by your beauty. The way the wind blew your hair so softly, and the way your soft skin reflected ever so perfectly the rays of sun against it.
You had a beautiful body, but to him, it was much more than that.
You were perfect, and you had no idea about it yet.
Jacob splashed water at him, pulling him out of his trance. He turned around to look at him, lips parted in fake shock.
“Come back to earth” Jacob smiled.
Kevin frowned and bit his lip, attacking him back with water.
While he was busy water-fighting with his friend, someone decided to trick you.
“Would you give me a piece of chocolate?” Haknyeon asked innocently, puppy-eyed so you wouldn’t say no.
You sighed, returning to the table and grabbing the sweet before you swatted down to give it to him.
What you weren’t expecting, was that he would take it and also pull you into the water.
Laughter echoed all over the place, as you made it to the surface. Your long hair was stuck in your face as you tried to catch your breat. You barely pushed it away from your eyes to rub them, and then glare at the guilty boy who laughed in front of you.
“Ju Haknyeon, you’re fucking regretting this!” You shouted, swimming and chasing him all around the pool.
But you got tired quickly, he was in a better shape than you.
That made you groan, before someone placed their hands on your shoulders to spin you around, eyes meeting with yours.
“You’ve never been a good swimmer.” He said, stifling a laugh at your grumpy state. “Here.” He said as he carefully moved his hand and brushed your hair away from your face with his fingers, the gesture made your expression soften almost immediately. He was always the sweetest when it came to you.
You smiled.
“I know.” You responded, moving your hands to imitate his actions and push his hair back sweetly. “Here.” You repeated.
Kevin was taken aback by it, his expression filled with confusion before he finally managed to smile subtly. He stared into your eyes, adoring the way the droplets of water slid down your soft skin like dew on flowers.
Sometimes it was really hard for him to hold back and keep that facade. Especially when you were naturally mesmerizing. Your pink lips, the ones he always wondered how would feel in a kiss. Your rosy cheeks and round eyes. Your small nose, the smell of shampoo in your hair, the words you spoke and every single inch of you or everything about you made his world spin.
You were having a moment, an intimate one, at least for him. The whole world around him, the laughter and voices of his friends seemed to evaporate just by having you near, getting lost in your eyes and your beauty.
Until you splashed him with water, bringing him back to earth. He laughed and splashed you back playfully, before he reached out and wrapped his arms around your waist.
“How dare you defy me!” He groaned, lifting you up as you moved you kicked your legs frantically.
“What are you doing, let me go!” You laughed, moments before he threw you to the water on the other side of the pool.
That’s how all of you spent the day, forgetting about responsibilities, unrequited feelings and other people outside the group. You enjoyed it way too much, and when the sun finally settled, you were all exhausted and starving.
You had ordered pizza. The whole group sitting in a circle on the carpeted floor of the living room. You were helping Jacob with the drinks in the kitchen, telling him all about your encounter with Minchan.
“Don’t you think it’s like fate?” You asked, filling the plastic cups with ice cubes.
He chuckled, mixing drinks.
“It surely was an unexpected event.” He responded. “You still don’t know anything about him, though. Be careful, your illusions could disappear as soon as you get to know him.” He shrugged.
You cocked your mouth deep in thought. He had a point.
“That’s true, I guess? But what’s the point on being negative?”
Jacob shook his head, a gentle smile on his lips.
“It’s not negativity at all, I call it being cautious. You know what they say, crushes are meant to be just that, all the magic is long gone once you get what you wanted.” He explained, glancing at you. “You need someone you know well, someone you can be sure will love you, respect you, and do anything for you.”
You sighed, lips curling into a light smirk.
“Like Kevin?” You joked.
Jacob raised a brow, eyes flying in your direction before he chuckled and placed his pointer finger on the tip of your nose.
“Hey, why not?” He smiled, turning around to grab some straws from the counter.
You laughed.
“I would like someone just like him. I mean, someone who treats me like he does. I’d be lucky.”
Kevin accidentally heard your confession while he made his way to the kitchen, stopping behind the wall so he could listen more.
His heart swelled up, and he was starting to get his hopes up. You wanted someone just like him, you were finally appreciating what he did to you. A smile formed on his face as he bit his lip, trying not to make a sound and get caught spying your conversation.
“I hope Minchan does.” You added then, making his heart sink once again.
He felt his chest going heavy in a matter of seconds, and his smile disappeared as a sigh left his lips. He shook his head and went back to the living room, not daring to face you after feeling rejected, again.

“I can’t believe she hasn’t noticed.” Jacob admitted, sitting cross-legged next to Kevin in the balcony. The wind was chilly, but the moonlight gifted a warm feeling of peace.
Jacob had taken his friend outside to have a chat about the whole thing, taking advantage of the fact that no one understood what they said besides Eric, and that you were taking a shower upstairs, getting ready to sleep soon. The other members were in their respective rooms as well, except for Changmin and Sunwoo who were watching videos together.
Kevin sighed.
“She’s so dense. At this point I’m surprised as well. I thought I had been obvious.” He shrugged.
“Then what are you waiting to confess?”
Kevin shot him a look, processing his question.
“I don’t know...” He mumbled, pressing his knees against his chest.
Jacob tsked.
“It’s not that hard... Just tell her you love her already.”
“I don’t have the guts to say it... I’m not really good with words.” He confessed, scratching the back of his neck.
“She told me about this guy, what was his name again?”
“Ah... Minchan.” Kevin responded, rolling his eyes.
“Yeah, that one. Are you just gonna sit and watch him steal her away?”
“Bro... I don’t think I even have any chances. She has friend zoned me like a hundred times already. And she’s always drooling over him it’s annoying as heck.”
Jacob sighed, grazing his chin with his fingers.
“Aw come on, you’re not giving yourself enough credit. Things can change you know? Friends can easily become more, and It’s not like she has brother-zoned you. Now that would be bad.”
Kevin laughed nervously.
“Actually, it’s funny that you mention it...”
Jacob looked at his friend in disbelief, gently slapping his own forehead afterwards.
“Oh man...”
“See my struggle?” Kevin whined, running his hands through his hair in frustration, throwing his head back against the glass door.
The two of them kept silent for a moment, both probably lost in their own minds and considering different scenarios. The night breeze blew their soft locks, sending some sense of melancholy. Jacob was worried for the sake of his friend, and Kevin was starting to think about just giving up on his feelings.
“I still think you should do it.” Jacob insisted then, head craning towards Kevin, who just stared attentively with brows furrowed.
“You think so?”
“Yeah... There are two possible scenarios... She doesn’t reciprocate your feelings but you lift a weight off your shoulders, or she realizes she belongs with you instead.”
“You forgot another possible scenario, though...” Kevin stared.
“Which one?”
“I never say anything so she can be happy with someone else and I don’t risk ruining our friendship.”
Jacob shook his head.
“Listen... If you’re scared of losing the bond you two have, let me tell you, it’s gonna change no matter what.”
“How come?”
“No matter if she doesn’t reciprocate your feelings or if you keep them to yourself. It’s a lose-lose situation. If she doesn’t reciprocate, it’s going to be awkward between the both of you... If you keep them bottled up, seeing her with someone else and not having time to spend with you or give you all of her attention will result in the two of you drifting apart anyways. But if she gives you a chance, it’s gonna change for the better.”
Kevin ran his hands on his face.
“What am I supposed to do?”
Jacob gave him a sympathetic smile.
“You’ll never know until you try.”
Tumblr media
“Where are you taking me?” You asked, tone filled with confusion as Kevin dragged you with him to somewhere you didn’t know, grabbing your hand.
“Nowhere in particular.” He said, looking ahead. “We’ll go wherever the wind takes us.”
You stopped in your tracks, forcing him to stop moving. He turned his head to look at you with knitted brows, with you arching one at him.
“I thought you had something planned, dumbass.”
Kevin rolled his eyes.
“Can’t I just have a nice day hanging out with my favorite person?”
You narrowed your eyes at him.
“I guess? But you seemed so insistent I thought you knew where you would take us.” You shrugged.
Kevin released the grip on your hand, wrapping his arm around your shoulders instead, starting to walk again.
“Because you’re lazy and if I hadn’t you’d be still sleeping.” He muttered. You smacked his chest. “Ouch, what was that for?”
“For making me leave my bed.”
Truth was that Kevin never needed a reason in particular for wanting to spend the day with you, but that day, precisely, he had asked you out to see if he could gather the courage to confess to you at the end of the day.
Unlikely, but he still wanted to try.
So he treated you lunch, took you to the arcade and then you found yourselves playing with puppies at a dog cafe. You were having a great moment with him, but that was so common for you that you never gave it a second thought. You always felt that comfortable with him, you always had fun whenever he was around. He was the one who could always understand, the one who shared the same lame interests. That’s why you never fought, that’s why you were inseparable. He was your soulmate, after all. Life had brought you together for a reason, and you would never question it.
But you were still too dense. Too oblivious. You never noticed the way he stared when you were alone, or why he was always where you were. You never even questioned why in those night calls he would find any excuse to just keep you on the phone. You would think he was bored, when in reality, he just couldn’t get enough of the sound of your voice.
You wandered around the city, sipping on your iced coffee before you found a store that seemed quite interesting. It was a fantasy store, and your nerdy side couldn’t help but be drawn there.
“Oh, look. I want to see more!” You said, grabbing Kevin’s wrist when he opened his mouth to complain, dragging him inside.
Your eyes flew open, mesmerized by everything that was placed inside. Medieval and fantasy items like jewelry, swords, books, paintings, clothing, games and a lot of things to decorate your room.
You felt in another world, and every little thing you saw made you excited as Kevin just followed behind you.
Your eyes then landed on the jewelry, a particular necklace capturing your attention.
It was a Gothic inspired necklace that combined a mystical crescent moon with a beautiful glowing heart.
You stared intensely, enamoured with the sight the moment when an old man appeared behind the counter.
“With its beautiful luminescent stone inside an intricate hollow heart dangling from the pendant, this necklace is unique, making it the perfect gift for a special person.” He spoke, almost making you flinch. Your eyes locked with his crinkled ones, as his moustached smile greeted you. “Even if you don’t believe in magic, it is magnifiscent.”
Kevin approached and stood right beside you, listening carefully at the old man’s words as he examined the object that had stolen your attention.
“It is so beautiful.” You mumbled with a smile, hiding it behind your fingers. It came in several colors. “Aw, and it’s a Moon.” You teased your friend, poking his cheek, that right away felt like burning in blush. Gladly, you didn’t notice.
“You can almost feel the magic power it possesses as long as you believe in it.” The man said, locking eyes with kevin and raising his brows.
“It’s true.” You giggled, and Kevin just looked at you. You were so cute and innocent sometimes.
“However, you must use it wisely, it may grant wishes, give you strength, warn you of dangers or be a talisman, depending on your character.“ He addressed.
You grinned.
“I wish I could buy it, but I can’t right now. Maybe another time when I get paid at my part time job.” You pouted, feeling your phone buzzing in your pocket. “Excuse me for a minute.” You said with your pointer finger, walking towards the exit to pick an incoming call from your mom.
The old man and Kevin stared at each other, the latter smiling awkwardly at the man as he kept fidgeting his fingers, switching from him to the door to watch if you were coming back, until he sighed.
He leaned forward to whisper in the man’s ear.
“How much is it?”
Tumblr media
“I’m sorry for having to leave earlier than planned... My mom needs me to help her out with some stuff.” You apologized, standing in front of your door. The sun was finally setting, welcoming the moon and stars in its place. Kevin smiled, hands tucked in his pockets and his heart pounding wildly.
It was hard to keep his cool, especially when he could already feel the words he desperately needed to say stuck on the tip of his tongue.
His hands were sweaty, shaking behind the comfort of his jeans. Was he ready to finally confess?
“Don’t worry about it. Just tell her I said hi.” He spoke, surprised that he didn’t stutter at all despite of his mind going wild.
You nodded with a smile, outstretching your hand and gently ruffling his hair.
“Of course.” You responded. “Thanks for today, Kev. I had a blast, as always.”
Kevin grinned, his stomach fluttering by knowing you had enjoyed the day just wiith him.
“Did you really like it?” He asked then, sliding his hand out of his pocket and scratching the back of his neck nervously.
You smiled, but frowned in confusion at his uncommon behavior. It wasn’t like you never enjoyed hanging out with him anyways, he should expect the same words coming from your mouth whenever you two went out.
“Of course, silly.” You teased. “Why would you even doubt it? Weirdo.” You chuckled.
He chuckled as well, but nervously.
“Ah, don’t mind me.” He said, waving his hand and dismissing his own words. “I just wanted to say something...”
You cocked your head.
“What is it?”
The right words ran through his head, like he had been preparing the speech in his mind.
However, his mouth opened to say something, but nothing came out. The silent made the atmosphere awkward, nothing like the way it usually was between the both of you, and Kevin noticed how you were reacting to that. So he just let out the first words that slipped from his tongue.
“I-I...I hope we can hang out again but for more time!”
He tensed, internally panicking. He feared that you would know what he wanted but in the wrong way.
But of course, you didn’t notice. You just laughed and gently pushed his shoulder.
“Of course, Kev.” You smiled, pinching his cheek. “I’m going inside, please get home safely!”
You waved goodbye at him and he waved back before you entered.
Kevin sighed, running his fingers through his haiir.
He had missed his opportunity once again. Every time he asked you out, you never moved past friendly, and that day, was just another one to add to the endless list.
“Heck. I’m such a coward.” He mumbled to himself, kicking the little rocks that were dispersed on the way back home.
He would confess, he had to and he knew that.
That’s why as soon as he arrived home and got a shower, he decided to call you.
“You miss me already?” You joked when you picked up the call, hearing his throaty chuckle at the other side of the line.
“You wish.” He lied. “I just wanted to ask you something real quick.”
“Okay, what is it?”
He took a deep breath and exhaled.
“Are you free tomorrow?”
“Again?”
“Yeah. I need to talk to you about something.”
You frowned, pacing back and forth around your room.
“Is everything okay?”
You were starting to feel worried. He wasn’t acting like himself at all.
“Yeah... I just wanted to share something with you.”
“Okay, where do we meet?”
Kevin couldn’t help the smile that instantly formed on his lips, excitement and nervousness filling up his whole body.
“You know that bench at the park where we used to stargaze?”
You smiled at the memory.
“Yes.”
“Find me there at six, before the sun sets.”
“Do you feel like stargazing? Are you feeling nostalgic so suddenly or something?” You giggled.
“Ah, stop asking questions. It’s just a simple invitation from your best friend.” He responded. “But please go, it’s really important for me, alright?”
“You’re making me curious now. You’re acting all mysterious.”
Kevin laughed.
“It’s nothing bad, I promise.”
“Alright. I’ll meet you there.”
“Promise?”
“Promise.”
“Alright. Goodnight, dumbo.”
“Night, asshole.”
Kevin ended the call and plopped on his back against his bed, throwing his phone to the side and letting out a breath he didn’t know he was holding. His cheeks were flushing and his heart was beating wildly.
He had decided, he would confess to you... Or at least, he would try. That time, for real, and if it didn’t go well, he would definitely give up on his feelings.
On the other hand, you didn’t suspect anything in particular. You trusted Kevin enough to go wherever he asked you to without a second guessing. He was your best friend, so you knew that if he wanted to share something with you, you would probably love it.
Tumblr media
You had been helping out your mom with the chores and organizing some things in your house the whole morning until lunch time arrived. You shared a great meal with your parents, standing up as soon as you finished and starting to wash the dishes.
“Dear, can you go the store to buy some things for me? I’ve made a list with what I need.” Your mother said, gently caressing your hair. “Don’t worry about this, I’ll take care of it.”
You turned your head to look at her, smiling and nodding.
“Yes mom, sure.” You said, grabbing a towel and drying your hands before you placed it back on the counter.
She tucked a hand in the pocket of her kitchen apron, handing you a little piece of paper and her credit card.
“Here.” She said. “Don’t buy more than necessar, huh?”
You rolled your eyes, nodding.
“I won’t, mom.”
She smiled and gently patted your cheek lovingly.
“Be careful.”
“I’ll be back soon!”  You responded, walking to the door and grabbing your coat from the floor coat rack, also putting on your shoes.
You had almost everything you needed, ready to go to the cashier and pay the moment you heard a very familiar voice, one that was enough to send sparks down your body.
“I guess you live nearby.” He said. Your heartbeats echoed in your ears and your cheeks burned, turning your head to look at him, a gentle smile on his pretty lips. “It’s good to see you again, y/n. This isn’t coincidence.”
You smiled widely, tucking a strand of hair behind your ear while messily holding the shopping basket. He always managed to look perfect, his hair looking silky and his clothes perfectly ironed. The smell of his cologne just added attractiveness to his already noticeable beauty.
“Minchan!” You greeted. “Glad to see you, too.”
He was quick to make conversation, and you stayed a little longer as you kept him company while he picked the things he needed, that way both of you paid at the same time.
He exited the store with you, telling you about his upcoming graduation and his plans for the future. Turns out he liked to sing, and he was even considering auditioning for some agency. You felt admiration, already knowing his many talents and now his disposition to be someone big in the future. He was very humble, speaking to you like he had known you all his life.
You told him a bit about you, the things you liked and how you were scared about the future, being that the reason why you had decided to live one day at a time, and the fact that he never judged you made you feel more comfortable around him. You even told him about Kevin, as they seemed to have a lot of things in common, another reason for you to get along.
“I would like to talk a bit more.” He confessed, making your stomach flip around. “Let me treat you a coffee.”
You smiled, wanting to say yes before he even finished the sentence. However, you were carrying plastic bags that made your fingers hurt, remembering that you had to go back home soon.
“I’d love to! But... I really have to take this home... I can’t go around with five plastic bags in my hands.” You chuckled.
Minchan smiled.
“I’ll tell you what.” He said, tucking his hand in his pocket and pulling out his car keys. “Let’s place your bags in my car while grab a coffee, right there across the street.” He continued, pointing his finger to a small coffee shop that you knew very well. “When we’re done, we’ll come back and pick your things up.”
You thought about his proposal for a second, being way too tempting for you to say no. It was a good plan, and how could you say no to your crush anyways?
You smiled shyly as he stared at you expectantly.
“Alright.” You said. “Let’s go.”
Minchan smiled, gesturing for you to walk ahead of him. He soon unlocked his car and you placed the bags in the trunk, leaving right after to grab that coffee across the street.
Truth was that you didn’t really care about the coffee, you just couldn’t believe someone like him wanted to spend more time with you and actually get to know you better. After all, you had exchanged numbers but never really texted each other. Hopefully, that would change after that day.
You found yourself having endless things to talk about with Minchan. He was really easygoing and open minded, so you never got bored even for a second. You two laughed, and it was like you had clicked really fast. Losing track of time as you both shared anecdotes from your respective lives.
A loud thunder made you flinch, pulling you out of the conversation you were having. Your eyes flew open to look behind Minchan, grey clouds invading the previously clear blue one. He motioned your actions and turned his head, his brows knitting together.
“Looks like a storm is coming.”
“Yeah. I think we should get going.” You agreed, looking at the watch on your wrist. You shot him a look of shock. “We’ve been here for three hours!” You laughed.
His eyes widened in shock as well, looking at the time on his own watch.
“Wow, we really did lose track of time.” He let out a throaty chuckle that made your skin stand on end. “It’s past six already.”
“We better hurry. It won’t be good if we’re still out when it’s dark and raining.” You smiled, pulling out the credit card to pay before he pushed it back to you, shaking his head.
“My treat, remember?”
You smiled, nodding shyly.
Minchan paid for the coffees and you quickly went back to his car to grab your stuff. Seeing that rain had started to fall down, Minchan offered to take you home in his car, and you accepted, not really wanting to get drenched.
“Thanks for this again, Minchan.” You said, giving him one last smile that he quickly returned.
“No, thank you for accepting my invitation.” He replied. “I’ll see you soon.”
You nodded, smiling. Opening the door from the passenger’s seat, you jumped out of the car and grabbed the plastic bags from the trunk. Minchan waved at you, and you did the same before you finally entered the house.
“Jesus Christ y/n. Where have you been? Why did you take so long?” Your mother said as soon as you walked into the kitchen, placing the bags on the dining table.
Your cheeks were still tinted in a crimson color, smiling at her.
“I bumped into a friend and he invited me to grab a coffee. I’m sorry if I made you worried, mom.”
She muttered something you didn’t quite pinpoint, too deep into your thoughts and excitement as you danced your way upstairs.
You kept giggling like an idiot. You still couldn’t believe you had had some kind of date with Minchan, and you just needed to tell someone about it.
So you grabbed your phone and dialed Kevin’s number.
But he didn’t pick up.
You just couldn’t wait anymore, so you shyly asked your dad to take you to the boys dorms, telling him that they had invited you to watch movies again.
And that’s how you arrived at the dorms even when the sky was falling.
You knocked on the door cheerfully, moments before you were greeted with Eric.
“Hello!”
He looked surprised to see you, but smiled anyways.
“Hey, y/n. Good to see you.” He said, moving aside to let you in.
“Today it’s a great day and no rain is going to change that, my dear Eric.” You chirped, taking off your shoes and walking to the living room where some of the guys were playing video games. “Hi guys.” You waved.
“Y/n? What are you doing here?” Haknyeon asked in confusion.
“I just really need to talk with Kevin. Where is he? Is he in his room?” You said, not waiting for an answer before you dragged your feet in that direction.
“Wait... Weren’t you supposed to be together today?” Jacob suddenly said, coming out of the kitchen.
“Right? That’s why I asked.” Haknyeon shrugged.
And that’s when it hit you.
Your eyes shot open.
“Oh my god!” You whined, hiding your face behind your hands. “Fuck I totally forgot it!”
“That’s not good.” Eric muttered from behind you.
You panicked.
“What time is it?”
“It’s past eight.” Eric said, and your stomach sunk.
“Fuck! I’m two hours late and it’s pouring rain!” You said desperately. “I even called him and he didn’t pick up.”
“Well he surely isn’t here.”
You felt tears burning in your eyes just by the thought of you breaking a promise... One you had made with Kevin, who never ever had broken one when it came to you.
“Sangyeon, please let me borrow your car!”
“I don’t think that’s a good idea, y/n.” He said with a frown.
“Please Sangyeon! We’re in the middle of a storm, it’s dark and Kevin is out there waiting for a stupid woman who just forgot about their promise.” You pleaded. “I need to find him and apologize. He must be hating me.”
Sangyeon kept silent for a second, noticing the worried expressions of his friends around him before he sighed.
“Alright. The key is in the counter.” He said and you immediately turned around, rushing to the door. “Please drive safely!”
You voiced a “Thank you”. They probably didn’t hear you, but that didn’t matter.
Until Jacob ran after you and gabbed your shoulder, stopping you.
“Hey, take this.” He said, handing you an umbrella.
You smiled sadly at him.
“Thank you, Jacob.”
He nodded, and you ran out of the building to the parking lot.
You climbed on the car after you successfully unlocked it, starting the engine and cursing at yourself as you made your way to the park.
Gladly, it was only a few blocks away, so it was about a couple of minutes before you had arrived.
You jumped out of the car, messily opening the umbrella and making your way to where the two of you were supposed to meet.
The place was empty as the rain kept falling wildly, thunders echoing all over the place and making your stomach churn.
You didn’t think you would actually find him, but you did.
“Kevin!”
There he was. Completely soaked, looking ahead as water droplets ran down his skin and hair.
He turned his head to look at you, but didn’t stand up. He didn’t even look happy to see you. The sight broke your heart.
“What are you doing?!” You raised your voice, walking towards him and grabbing his hand, trying to pull him to stand on his feet. “You’re soaked! Are you crazy? You’re going to get sick!”
Kevin’s lips curled up in a soft, bitter smile. A humorless breathy chuckle escaping from his lips.
“So you decided to come...” He muttered, almost in a whisper. Your brows knitted together.
“Kevin... I’m so sorry, I forgot.”
He looked at you once again, but now his expression was filled with hurt.
“You forgot, I see.” He mumbled.
“I know I’m a terrible friend and I’m really sorry!” You repeated. “I went out to buy some things my mom needed and I bumped into Minchan... He invited me to grab a coffee and we lost track of time, I’m sorry okay? I’ll make it up to you. But please let’s go home.”
That was it.
You had not only forgotten about your promise.
But it was also because of Minchan.
“Minchan.” He smiled, standing up.
You thought he was going to join you under the umbrella, but he turned on his heels to walk in the opposite direction.
“Kevin!” You called, running after him and grabbing his hand to stop him.
He was cold. Freezing at the touch, just like the way he looked at you when he turned his head.
“I’ll take the bus.” He said, pulling his hand away from you.
“No! Why would you? I borrowed Sangyeon’s car. Let’s go home, Kev. Let’s talk this out.”
Kevin finally tuned around, his face stone cold. He didn’t even care about being completely drenched in front of you, with the cold wind and the dim moonlight as a witness.
“I said I’m going to take a bus. I’m not going with you so please don’t insist.”
“I know you’re mad Kevin but please don’t act like a child! It’s pouring rain and it’s getting late. I don’t want you to get sick. I’ll take you home. Don’t be so stubborn and come with me so we can talk about the thing you wanted to share with me.” You insisted, outstretching your hand for him to take, but he didn’t move an inch.
“The problem is, y/n, that I have nothing to talk with you.” He spoke. “I decided to give it a try, but now that I see things clear, I know my place.”
You tilted your head.
“What?”
“All this time...” He started, stepping closer to you. “I’ve had this thing eating me alive. I’ve never been good with words, but I’ve always made it obvious. So obvious... You’re the one who still remains oblivious.”
“Kev... W-what are you talking about?” You stammered, feeling intimidated by his attitude.
But then he wrapped his arms around you, hugging you tightly. He placed his hand behind your head, gently caressing you. You froze on the spot, not even caring about the way he was soaking you as well.
“Everything was good for so long, but then something happened inside me.” He spoke against your ear. His voice was filled with emotions and sent shivers down your spine. “Now I’m reading into everything...” He continued, tightening the hug. “But there’s no sign you hear the lightning.”
You were confused. You didn’t know what he meant, but you didn’t seem to find the courage to question him or his words. You hugged him back, your fingers dipping on the fabric of his cold, damped shirt.
“I’m sorry I forgot...” You muttered against his shoulder. “I’m the worst friend...”
“I had planned something different for today.” He spoke again. “Since you never notice the way that we belong...” He sighed shakily. “I am the one who finally opened his eyes.” He added, pulling away from you.
His eyes were red and puffy. He was crying.
He looked so hurt, so vulnerable. He looked devastated, and all you wanted to do was hug him and tell him everything was going to be alright.
But deep down, you knew it wouldn’t. Actions always speak louder than words.
“Why are y-”
Kevin chuckled, the tip of his nose reddened as he stepped backwards.
“You’re so dense...” He said, finally turning away and walking away from you.
Kevin knew it back then. No matter how he felt or how he tried, the magic wasn’t there. Nothing would grant his wishes, and luck just wasn’t on his side. He had to learn it in the bad way.
So he left you standing there, confused. You tried to reach him and call him, but he didn’t turn around.
You were in shock, walking back to the car as you felt a stinging pain inside your chest. Your nose became itchy as you opened the door and climbed on the car, closing the umbrella and locking yourself inside the warm space.
You could feel tears threatening to fall, trying to figure out Kevin’s words.
You tucked your cold hands in the pocket of your coat, your gaze going down the moment your fingers came in contact with something placed inside.
As soon as you pulled it out, your breath got stuck in your throat, and before you noticed, you were sobbing against the stirring wheel.
“Oh my god.” You cried, shaky hand moving to cup your mouth. Your heart broke looking at the crescent moon that rested in your hand, the purple glowing heart that dangled on it gently illuminating the flesh of your hands.
He bought it.
He bought it for you.
Because you were told it was meant to be bought for someone special. And he wanted to give it to you.
But you were too busy with Minchan to think about his feelings.
Now that you had put two and two together, you knew what he meant.
“I’ve had this thing eating me alive. I’ve never been good with words, but I’ve always made it obvious. So obvious... You’re the one who still remains oblivious.”
“Everything was good for so long, but then something happened inside me.”
“But there’s no sign you hear the lightning.”
“I am the one who has finally opened his eyes.”
“You’re so dense.”
Tears burned your cheeks as you cried like a baby. What had you done.
He was going to confess to you, and you turned him down before he even tried.
You were an idiot. There was no way you could face him after that.
You had broken your friendship.
Tumblr media
You didn’t know how how much time it had passed since that day. You had taken back the car to the dorms and Kevin wasn’t there yet. The boys almost drowned you in questions that you couldn’t answer, the fact that you couldn’t stop crying didn’t help to minimize their concern.
But you couldn’t face them. That’s why you had to call your dad to pick you up again.
It was hard to make them stop asking what was wrong, so you just opted to tell them that you had a fight with Kevin and you were upset.
But it had been almost a week. A week with no calls, with no texts messages. A week without his jokes and his company. A week of loneliness, of crying yourself to sleep, a week of guilt and figuring out your tangled feelings.
You had tried to reach him, but he just didn’t pick up the phone. Admittedly, you were far too ashamed of yourself for hurting him that you just couldn’t go and face him.
It was like the end of a sad movie, the kind of ending you didn’t really wanna see.
It was tragic to think that you’d have to let him go after he held your hand through all these years, because you didn’t know what to be without him around.
None of you thought it was gonna end that way, now there was no one there to save you. Kevin was the only thing you knew like the back of your hand.
Even if you couldn’t breathe without him, you’d have to.
“Are you okay? I’ve noticed you’re kinda down these days.” Minchan said, moving his hand to place it on top of yours across the table, concern in his expression.
You forced a smile with a nod, squeezing his hand in response.
You were thankful for him. After all that had happened, Minchan had been a very much needed distraction and company. He texted you recurrently, called you at nights or took you out. He was really sweet and attentive, and you really did feel comfortable around him, but something was missing.
Despite his sweet disposition and nature, his warm touch and reassurance, despite having the guy you had liked all along to yourself trying to cheer you up, and even sometimes succeeding, he still couldn’t fill the void in your chest.
“I’m okay, I just haven’t been sleeping much and I’m tired.” You lied. “Thank you for looking after me, Minchan.”
A smile formed on his lips. He truly was a beautiful human.
“Don’t mention it. It’s the least I could do for something as special as you.”
You felt your cheeks burn, but somehow, your heart didn’t jump like it usually did.
When he took you back home, you were ready to just get out of the passenger seat, but as soon as your body turned to open the door, he grabbed your hand. You looked back at him, confused, as he brushed a strand of hair behind your ear.
“Minchan?” You mumbled, his eyes sparkled.
“I like you.” He simply said, as his fingertips grazed the skin of your cheek.
You didn’t know what to say. The moment you had been dreaming about for so long was finally about to happen and you wanted to be excited, you really did.
But you didn’t feel anything at all.
Still, he leaned in and you didn’t move. His nose gently brushed against yours, his warm breath fanning against your lips as his lids were half closed.
You took a deep breath through your nose, bracing yourself to let the feelings sparkle.
His lips pressed gently against yours and you closed your eyes. His lips were as soft as you had imagined, and they moved subtly on yours. You hesitated as he cupped your face, tilting his head to kiss you a little deeper, but responded to the kiss.
It could’vw been wonderful, magical, but something you weren’t expecting took you by surprise, and that was Kevin’s face in the back of your mind.
You instantly knew it was wrong, kissing someone and thinking about someone else.
So you pulled away, looking down and grazing your lips with your fingers.
Minchan looked confused.
“I’m sorry...” Was the first thing you managed to say. Tears started pooling in your eyes when you looked at him, and his expression instantly turned into a sympathetic one. “I thought I liked you... I mean, I do... But...”
He smiled sadly.
“You don’t like me in the same way.” He addressed, sighing. “Don’t worry about it, I understand.”
“I-I’m really s-sorry.” You stammered in light sobs. “It’s just... I-I think I’m in love with s-someone else.”
Minchan sighed, wrapping his arms around you and pulling you into his chest. He gently caressed the back of your head, a bittersweet feeling invaded you at the memory of Kevin doing the same days before.
“It’s okay.” He cooed. “I’d be glad to be your friend... If you still want me as one.”
You pulled back and sniffled, smiling with a nod.
“Of course.”
And you weren’t lying.
You knew he was worth it, he was special.
But not in the way you thought he was.
Tumblr media
You stormed out of your house the same night, running with all your might. You didn’t even care about any other way of transportation, you felt like drowning and you needed to do something about it.
You couldn’t wait anymore. The more you thought about it, the worse the pain in your heart was. You grasped on the necklace harshly, hoping that maybe what the man said was true. Maybe if you really believed in the magic, it could grant wishes.
So you did. You wished. To get him back, but for life.
His laugh, his voice, his pretty little mouth that never failed to say the right words. His silky hair you would always run your fingers through, his pale skin that felt warm to the touch. His dark, but sparkling eyes that found yours even in the darkest places, the arms that he always kept open for you to give you shelter, the beautiful face you were so familiar with, and his heart that always managed to put you first even when it kept getting broken because of you.
You had to lose him to find the truth. How silly of you.
You couldn’t stop crying despite the air leaving your lungs. Your feet burned and your legs were sore, but nothing could hurt more than your conscience.
You finally stopped in your tracks, leaning forward and resting your hands on your knees trying to catch your breath as you stood in front of the building. Your mind was blurry, dizzy with too many words and possible scenarios.
As soon as you regained your breath, you got inside and made your way to the dorms. You were scared, but too desperate to lift the weight of your shoulders to care.
Finding the right door, you lifted your hand and knocked a few times, teeth sinking in your lip as you tried to keep calm.
Your gaze glued to the floor, your hands shaking and your stomach churning before the door cracked open.
Your eyes traveled to the person that now stood in front of you, and there he was.
Your heart skipped a beat and you, once again, felt the urge to cry.
“Y/N?”
“Kevin.” You muttered, almost in a whisper. “We need to talk, please.”
He stared at you, feeling his own chest tightening before he sighed and moved aside to let you in.
You walked in, taking off your shoes and closing the door behind you.
You took a deep breath, not knowing where to start, which didn’t go unnoticed by him. The way your lip quivered, your hands shook and your eyes looked puffy and red mortified him. Thinking that maybe he had been too hard on you, and hating to see you in such a state, he decided to push his pride aside and speak, ready to once again comfort you for what he thought was a broken heart.
“y/n... I-”
But you stepped forward and interrupted him.
“I’m sorry.” You stated. “I am so fucking sorry.”
He closed his mouth with a scowl, listening to you and thinking that maybe, just maybe, this time it wouldn’t be about Minchan.
So you just continued.
“I’m sorry I couldn’t see the truth.” You continued. “I’m sorry I was so oblivious, I’m sorry for hurting you, for leaving you waiting under the rain, for all the pain i’ve put you through. I’m sorry because I had to get to this point to realize how stupid I am.”
Tears fell from your eyes, and his expression softened.
“It’s okay... You d-”
“I have!” You shouted, cutting him off. Your hands flew to tangle in your hair. “How could I do this to you? After all you’ve done for me?” You cried. “Kev I’m so fucking sorry because not only I was oblivious to your feelings, but also mine.”
He cocked his head, confused.
“What?”
“Kevin I can’t be without you. I feel empty, you’re my other half. I miss everything about you.” You admitted, finding it hard to keep eye contact.
“Hey... You don’t have to feel like you need to reciprocate my feelings. You can’t force that kind of things y/n. I can still be your friend... Maybe I just need a little time to heal, but I’ll be okay. We’ve been together through thick and thin, haven’t we?” He smiled sadly, and your sobs increased.
“No, Kevin!” You cried out, looking at him again and wiping the tears from your eyes with the back of your hand. “It’s not like that!” You assured. “I thought I liked Minchan, I thought that I’d have the perfect life with this cute boyfriend and the best of friends beside me... But how can that happen when I lost both of them?”
“What do you mean?” He asked, frowning. Placing his hands on your shoulders in concern. The sweetness in his voice despite everything made your heart sink down to your stomach. “I already told you... If you want to be with Minchan, do it. I won’t stop being your friend. I might have been distant, even absent these past few days, but... No matter what you do, I’ll always be here for you.”
He was really confused, and you couldn’t blame him for that. You were a mess.
“No Kevin, you don’t understand. I don’t want to be with Minchan.”
“What? Why not?”
“Because since you left I am not myself! I can’t sleep, I can’t eat. Even when he was right beside me I felt empty, Kev. I didn’t understand, after how much I dreamed about him I thought he would be enough, but Jacob was right. A crush sometimes isn’t meant to stop being an illusion, something platonic. And it only made sense the moment he kissed me and all I could think about was you. It had been you all the time and I couldn’t see it.”
His eyes flew open in shock. He felt his heart stopping and shivers running down his skin. His pulse hammered loudly in his ears.
“I know I don’t deserve this and It’s okay if It’s too late for me to say what I'm about to say, but I love you, Kevin. I never thought about it because I always thought you saw me as a sister... But now that I had this deep conversation with my inner self and true feelings I know that I am in love with you.” You cried. “I can’t keep this to myself anymore, I am hurting because I hurt you, and I understand if you reject me b-”
Kevin stepped forward and cupped your face, crashing his lips with yours in a kiss that interrupted your speech. Your body responded to him automatically, kissing him back feverishly. His lips mended with yours and this time your whole world turned upside down. Butterflies in your stomach, burning skin and a racing heart. You wrapped your arms around his neck and buried your fingers in his soft hair. He tilted his head, kissing you deeper as he pushed you until your back hit the door.
One of his hands moved down to the small of your back, pulling you in and pressing your body flush against his as his free one threaded in your hair at the nape of your neck.
His tongue swiped over your lower lip and you parted them to grant him access. The moment his wet tongue touched yours, the ground beneath you shook, making your legs wobbly.
He then pulled back just a little, forehead still pressed against yours as you regained your breath. He gave you a lazy smile, eyes going down to the moon hanging from your neck. He clasped his fingers around it, letting out a throaty chuckle before he locked eyes with you again.
“You thought about me, hm?  Lucky me. Now you have a good reason to think about my lips instead. I'll make sure to kiss you as many times as you need so they're the only ones you ever taste." He teased, caressing your jaw and pecking your lips. "Took you long enough, though, my baby.” He added, pressing his lips on yours in another kiss.
You caressed his jaw with your fingers while you kissed. Oh, how much you were missing out.
“Fuck, I love you.” You whispered in between kisses, and he hummed contently.
When you two finally pulled back with swollen lips, his tongue darted out to run over his, a sweet smile then forming on them as his fingers caressed your skin. Your eyes were still hooded, but you smiled, touching his pretty face with your fingers as you drank him in.
“I love you. And you don’t know how hard it’s been for me... I never thought I’d hear what you said. I never understood how’s that you seemed to fit so well with me but you couldn’t feel it. I was sure that I had no chance, but I needed to try. I needed to have you. I’ve loved you for so long.” He confessed, caressing the way down your arms until he reached your hands and intertwined his fingers with yours. His eyes filled with adoration. “Please come with me.” He said,  dragging you with him.
“Where are we going?”
He turned his head and smirked, lifting a brow.
“I might not need it now, but I told you I had something for you, right?”
Your eyes shot open a shocked look, cheeks burning in crimson red.
“Kevin... What are you thinking?”
He stopped in his tracks and cocked his head, before he realized what you were thinking.
“Okay, I wasn’t really thinking about that, but I mean... If you’re down...”
You laughed out loud, smacking his chest.
“Seriously!”
He laughed along.
“I wrote a song for you.”
“A song?”
He nodded, smiling.
“Since you never noticed that you belonged with me, I was ready to say it in a love song.”
“But I ruined it.” You pouted, walking into his room.
He turned around and cupped your face, placing a kiss on your forehead.
“You did.” He agreed, making you glare at him. “But don’t worry princess, life isn’t long enough for all the songs that I’m gonna write about you.”

[a/n]: i miss Minchan so much pls :( aLSO I'M SORRY THIS IS SO SH*T AND LATE BUT I HAD FUN WRITING IT!!!
Tumblr media
"Move out of my spot," Minchan sighs, towering over you as you sit hunched over your notes in the front row of the lecture hall.
"No, why should I?" you spit out, still looking down.
"Because it's my spot, didn't you hear me say that?" Minchan clarifies with a scoff.
"Oh just shut up. Is your name written on here anywhere?"
He sighs and chooses to sit behind you, accepting defeat for now.
"Can you and Minchan not just give it a rest for one day?" your friend asks you as they take the spot beside you.
"If he wasn't so annoying, then maybe I would be able to do that," you say, organizing your notes for today's lecture.
Minchan kicks the back of your leg with his foot after hearing your words, and you turn around, sighing.
"You're literally proving my point. Just stop," you say.
"You stop badmouthing me first then," Minchan says with a smirk.
"Okay, good morning everyone!" the professor says, causing you to turn back to the front so you can pay attention.
The lecture passes peacefully as the two of you focus. Sure, you have a deep rivalry, but you're both dedicated students who never mess around when a lecture begins.
It's only after it ends that Minchan gets on your nerves again.
You find it right in front of a vending machine, pressing the buttons to dispense a drink. After he steps away, you realize that he had bought your favourite drink, and you don't think much of it until you step up to also buy that drink... only to find there's no more left.
"Minchan, what the hell? You don't even like that flavour anyway, why did you have to take the last one?!" you yell, pointing at the drink in his hands.
He shrugs in response, unscrewing the cap.
"If you want it, you'll have to do something for me."
"And what's that?"
"Convince everyone that we're dating."
"Just for a drink?!" you exclaim.
"I'll have a lifetime supply for you. Anytime you want, just tell me and I'll buy you one."
"Minchan... have you lost it? You know I hate you, right? Why would I pretend to be your s/o?"
"Because people think I'm dating this stuck-up asshole and it's ruining my reputation."
"Why would me dating you fix anything?"
"Because you get good grades, [y/n]. Not as good as mine, but good enough. And I hate your guts, but everyone else seems to think you're alright."
You sigh, shaking your head at the boy.
"I'll give you the drink this once. You've got till tomorrow to think about it," he says, flashing you a smile before walking away.
Confused, the drink almost slips out of your hands as you shuffle to your dorm, feeling bewildered.
-
"So Minchan, your mortal enemy wants you to fake date him?" you friend asks you, sitting on your bed while watching you pace around.
"Yeah."
"That makes no sense."
"Right?!"
"And all you get out of it is a lifetime supply of your favourite drink?"
"Yeah! I mean, those drinks are expensive so..."
"No, [y/n]! Focus!" your friend tells you, holding onto your hands and shaking them.
"Right, right," you mumble.
Your friend suddenly claps their hands and you jump back in fright, swearing at them for scaring you.
"I've got it! Just tell him that you'll only do it if he stops being such a little shit to you."
"So... fake date him to stop our annoying rivalry?" you repeat.
Your friend nods and you step back to properly consider their words. It doesn't sound so bad, especially since your rivalry with Minchan kind of started out of nowhere anyway, and you've always been hoping you never met him so this stupid thing would stop.
-
You: hey! dumbass!
stinky min: ???
You: let's do it
stinky min: ??
You: the,,, thing
stinky min: well don't be shy now
stinky min: spit it out
You: YOU KNOW WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT!
stinky min: you want to date me?
You: fake* !!! FAKE date you yes
stinky min: ok
You: ugh i hate you
stinky min: :D
You: IT'S ONLY ON ONE CONDITION THO
stinky min: and that is?
You: we end this dumbass rivalry and you stop being so annoying
stinky min: sorry babe can't do that
You: okay then bye
stinky min: NO WAIT
stinky min: i was joking..
stinky min: fine..
stinky min: tomorrow for our first class,, you better come sit next to me when i wave to you
-
"[y/n]!" Minchan yells, waving at you frantically with a big smile on his face.
You sigh and cover your face with your hand as you compose yourself, wondering why you're doing this for a lifetime supply of drinks and for this stupid rivalry to be over. Then, you finally look up and nod in Minchan's direction, approaching his spot in front row. You slide into the seat he saved for you while gritting your teeth and whispering, "why are you sitting in my seat?"
"[y/n], I saved a seat for you in the front row! Since you always like to sit here," Minchan says, obnoxiously loudly.
"I can see that, dumbass," you whisper, still continuing to smile at him while gritting your teeth.
"[y/n], be a bit more natural, would you?" Minchan whispers, stretching an arm around you and pulling you close.
You almost fly off your seat as you hadn't expected him to do this, but stay put despite your heart thumping heavily in your chest. When he leans his head on your shoulder, you have to do everything not to punch him.
"Your heart's beating so fast, my dear," Minchan mumbles.
"Are they dating?" someone whispers in the row behind you.
Murmurs begin to rise and Minchan smirks the whole time, his head still on your shoulder. His hair feels strangely fluffy and soft against your neck.
When the lecture begins, Minchan sits up straight but listens to the whole lecture with his hand around your waist. All of this skinship makes you dizzy and angry, and by the time the lecture is over, you've pulled Minchan aside to have a word with him.
"Minchan, if you're doing to do things like this, then I want out."
"What do you mean, babe?" he says, reaching forwards to push your hair back with his fingertips.
You catch his hand with yours, holding it there.
"This is what I mean," you say, pointing to his hand sitting on your head.
"Well we're dating, aren't we? Isn't it natural to show some skinship?"
"Minchan, firstly this isn't even real. Secondly, skinship isn't a required thing or anything. So just... chill out, okay?"
Minchan leans forward until his lips are right next to your ear.
"Why, is it cause I make your heart rate increase?"
"No!" you yell, pushing him a way.
A couple of students see this and speed walk away, whispering amongst themselves while staring at you.
"Okay, [y/n], calm down. I'll go easy on you, I promise. Have this drink and I'll see you later," he says, holding out your favourite drink.
"When did you even buy this?" you ask, taking it from him.
"Be there at the party tonight, okay?" he tells you while walking away.
What party? you wonder, until you check your phone. Someone has posted in your class about a party happening in Minchan's dorm building.
Sighing, you start to write a text to Minchan asking him why you have to attend a dumb party when you don't like parties anyway, but he messages you first.
stinky min: going to the party will be a great place to show everyone we're dating. and finally stop people talking behind my back... so be there, okay?
stinky min: and about the skinship.. i'm sorry. i'll genuinely stop. but at least you only have to see me a couple times during the day! it's not like we're in the same dorm or anything..
-
After getting your studying and classes done for the day, you head to Minchan's dorm building, which is already flooded with people.
"How isn't anyone getting in trouble for this?" you mumble, looking at the people scattered across the hallways with drinks in their hands, socializing.
You weave through the people, searching for Minchan.
"Hey! Looking for your... boyfriend?" a familiar voice asks you, taking hold of your arm.
You turn around to see your friend, looking lovely as ever.
"Yeah... seen him anywhere?" you ask.
They point upstairs while saying, "he's in his room, 204, waiting for you."
"Alright, I'll see you around then!"
"Don't have too much fun," your friend says with a wink.
Fun? This is not fun at all, you sigh, trudging upstairs and pushing past people to find room 204.
When you finally find it, you're surprised to see it's the only room with the door closed. You knock and the door knob quickly turns, revealing a very.... annoyingly attractive Minchan, with his hair parted comma style, wearing a white tee and a blue jean jacket.
"[y/n], you came! Come in, the real party's in here," he says, inviting you inside.
You walk in to find his TV showing a game he was playing, and he sits down to continue.
You throw him a confused look, but he just stares back at you.
"What? I know you didn't wanna be there, so let's at least have some fun before we have to go out there," he tells you, patting the spot on the ground next to him.
"Wow, Minchan. This is actually the kindest thing you've done for me," you reply, sitting next to him and taking the controller he's offering you.
After absolutely destroying Minchan in the game he thought he was the best at (what a reality check for him!) the two of you stand up and take a few deep breaths before stepping out into the hallway.
"Hey, you owe me something for beating you," you say before Minchan opens the door.
"Oh, shut up," he says, but with a smile.
As soon as he opens the door, people start to greet him. It isn't surprising, since he is just a bit of a popular guy. Okay, maybe more than a bit, but you don't want to admit that.
Many people ask Minchan if he broke up with Jennifer, the stuck-up asshole that he had been telling you people thought he was dating, and Minchan clarifies each time, with a bright grin, that they were never dating, but that it's only ever been him and you.
Everyone seems to find this so cute, but you almost vomit on the spot. Who would've known that Minchan could be so cringey?
Feeling tired after socializing with so many people, the two of you find your own space to stand in one another's company for a second.
"So, how does it feel, Minchan?" you ask him.
"To be dating you?" he asks back, a cheeky grin on his face.
You hiss at him and shake your head.
"No! To be rid of that dumb rumour about you and Jennifer."
"Ah, it feels good! Thanks, [y/n]. Do you want me to go grab your favourite drink for you? The vending machine here has it."
You take a second before agreeing, telling yourself that you deserve it after having role played for so long.
A few moments after Minchan leaves, the somewhat loud music that had been blasting this whole time stops, and someone starts yelling from up the stairs.
"GUYS, THERE'S BEEN A FLOOD AND IT'S SUPER BAD. IT'S SPREADING TO ALL THE HALLWAYS SO WE NEED TO LEAVE NOW!" he shouts.
Even from down there you can notice water pooling around his feet from where he stands near the stairs, and water trickling down the steps, too.
Some people immediately rush out, but you search around for Minchan for some time, wondering why he's taking so long. Then, the flood starts getting really bad, rushing down the stairs and beginning to approach you.
You start speedwalking towards the door, not even stopping when someone grabs your arm.
"[y/n]! You waited for me?" the person asks.
You turn to find Minchan with his pants soaked up to his knees and holding your favourite drink while panting.
"No. Maybe. Anyways, let's go!" you say, dragging him out with you.
That whole night, no one gets any sleep as the campus' staff decide what to do with all the students who won't have a place to sleep. It's only at 4am that they decide on a solution: to send everyone from Minchan's dorm into your dorm, because yours is the one with the most vacant spots.
And as if by the worst luck on this planet, Minchan just has to be placed right. In your. Room.
He trails in at 4:32am, shyly following you inside and acting very differently from his usual arrogant state.
"So this is where you sleep, huh [y/n]?" he quietly asks, looking at your bed.
"Yeah, of course. This is my dorm, what would you expect? That bed on the other side is vacant, so you can sleep there. If you need anything, just go grab it. But if you can't find it or need help, you can wake me up, it's honestly fine," you explain, grabbing your clothes so you can get changed in the bathroom
Minchan stops you.
"No, [y/n], it's fine! I'll change in the bathroom. You change here and tell me when you're done."
You shrug and nod, accepting his offer.
Once you're both changed, you decide to just sleep, because by now it's 5am and you both have class in a little over 3 hours. But you're unable to sleep with the presence of another person in your usually empty room, and you notice Minchan rustling around in his bed, too.
"Having trouble sleeping?" you whisper, not wanting to wake him in case he's actually asleep.
"Yeah..." Minchan says with a sigh.
"Let me just turn on the light, cause I can't sleep either-"
"No! It's better like this." Minchan says, interrupting you as you begin to leave your bed.
You fall back on it, sitting on the edge.
"Anything... I can do to help you sleep?" you ask him, feeling weird that you're being so nice to someone who was your enemy not too long ago.
"Do you wanna cook something?" Minchan asks you after a long silence.
"Cook? Now?"
"We didn't eat," Minchan points out, making you laugh.
"I guess you're right!" you say, standing up to turn on the light.
With whatever random ingredients you have, Minchan helps direct you in making a meal, carefully teaching you how to cut the vegetables and how to fry things correctly. He always gets real close when he does this, but never touches you since he thinks you wouldn't like that. You notice this and appreciate it.
At one point, Minchan asks you to lean in close to the stove to look at the texture of the food. You lean in and place your head practically next to his.
"See how it's this colour and is a lot softer? That means it's done!"
Minchan turns to you after he says this, and this might sound crazy, but your faces are so close to each other that Minchan's lips literally graze yours when he turns to you.
He immediately jumps back and apologizes, laughing slightly for his stupid mistake while covering his mouth with his hand. You, on the other hand, feel mortified and hold your lips with your fingers, wondering if they haven't fallen off or anything, because for some reason, they feel like they're buzzing.
"Wait, [y/n], why is your hair... turning white?" Minchan asks, pointing to your hair.
You notice a strand of white in Minchan's hair too, and you also point up to it. Reaching out to touch each other's white strands, the two of you seem to realize at the same time.
"Ah... so it's you? You're my soulmate?" Minchan asks, his cheeks clearly tainted red.
"I guess so... Damn, that wasn't even a real kiss but it was enough to turn our hair white!"
The two of you remain speechless for a few moments.
"So I'm really soulmates with my enemy?" you ask, groaning.
"Hey, I guess we have to learn to love each other now," Minchan says, puckering his lips and fake-kissing the air.
You push his face away and run off towards your bed, leaving Minchan chasing you around your room while the two of you laugh loudly. Thankfully you don't get any noise complaints, but running around at 6am leaves the two of you running on an all-nighter for your first class.
As the two of you practically fall asleep on each other for the whole class, everyone giggles at your sleepy states, but most importantly, gawks at the white strands in your hair.
"So they were really meant to be, huh," your friend says, sitting behind you and kicking your shin, forcing you awake so you can pay attention.

hopelessly devoted // lee dongheon
Tumblr media
👑 pairing:: lee dongheon x reader 👑 genre:: fluff 👑 summary:: overhearing the boy that you love talk to a girl about some girl that he fell in love with hurts. but overhearing this at a party makes it just five million times worse.  ——————————————————————————
“we were never dating in the first place so it shouldn’t even matter to you.” i looked up in the direction of the kitchen to overhear the girl who was now screaming at what dongheon had just said to her. over all this loud ass music and the multiple people dancing in front of us, we still managed to hear that one sentence. i looked at hoyoung trying not to burst into laughter. he shook his head sitting next to me before whispering in my ear that i should cut it out.
“who is this girl?” i laughed putting my head on his shoulder when kangmin walked past to sit on my lap stretching out to lay his head on hoyoung’s lap. hoyoung put his arm around my shoulder resting his hand on my arm.
“who’s heon hyung talking to?” he looked up with his puppy eyes at the two of us and we shrugged then i glanced back up to look at dongheon.
“some girl that’s been hanging with heon. she’s been clinging to him for the past few weeks.” yongseung came up behind us sticking his head in between hoyoung and my head. i bit my lip trying not to seem like i was pissed off, wait no was i being jealous?
“you being jealous there y/n?” hoyoung whispered in my ear and i glared at him before turning to slap him. i looked at minchan who was approaching the two in the kitchen but stopped before he was in view of either of the two.
“me? jealous? pft.” i rolled my eyes putting my hands down in my lap. when i glanced up again to look at heon, he turned his head around his shoulder straight at me. the way he smiled at me, made my whole world stop. through the people dancing i couldn’t look away. at all. i was definitely in love with him and every single one of the boys were catching on. i bit my lip when i kept eye contact with dongheon.
“what the hell was that look?” hoyoung teased me laughing, to then i scoffed rolling my eyes lifting kangmin’s legs off of mine to walk away from this annoying situation.
“i can’t take this anymore.” i said under my breath and as i was about to walk away, hoyoung grabbed my wrist turning me around pushing kangmin off of him. to which kangmin groaned then shot a glare at him before looking up at me. i shook my head pulling my wrist out of his hands. just as i walked past the kitchen, i heard the one sentence that made me stop.
“you fucking fell in love with a girl and expect me not to care? i thought we had a good thing going?” she scoffed to which i turned over my shoulder to look at minchan who was now wide eyed staring straight at me. i bit my lip and stood as still as possible. then i heard dongheon speak up after her constant talking.
“yes i fell in love with y/n. you and i were strictly on a no feelings relationship so i don’t know what the hell happened to you but i fell in love with someone else and when i get the chance to-” when i heard those first seven words, i shot my head up to look at minchan not believing what i had just heard. just as dongheon was about to finish his sentence i got pushed from behind, ice pouring down my back. i screamed before slapping my hand over my mouth because i was realizing now that i was in view of dongheon and this girl.
“y/n!” he ran towards me grabbing my wrist pulling me through the crowd of people, up the stairs and into his room, the door closing behind us. he pulled a hoodie out of his drawer as well as a towel from the bathroom and ran over to me.
“take off your shirt and dry off with this. are you okay?” he panted while looking me straight in the eye. he turned around after he got a nod from me and patted my head. i took my shirt off and dried off with the towel he gave me, thank god it was water. i grabbed his hoodie taking a deep breath smiling before pulling it over my head.
“i’m done changing.” i smiled again when he turned back around to face me. he walked up to me and i completely stopped breathing when he put both hands on my cheeks.
“you heard every word i said didn’t you?” his eyes darted from my eyes to my lips, then back down to my eyes. i nodded avoiding all eye contact.
“i-i tried not to. i won’t tell-” i started rambling because i was nervous. of course i was nervous. dongheon was inches away from my face and he was laughing. i couldn’t stop looking at him because my god was he good looking when he smiled.
“you won’t tell who? y/n did you even hear the name i said?” he scoffed laughing then put his arms around my waist. he pulled me towards him his chest up against mine.
“i mean i did but-but i just thought it was a mistake. there’s no way you would say my name.” i laughed nervously and dongheon tilted his head. he narrowed his eyes then licked his lips.
“what are you talking about y/n? i said your name. of course i said your name. you’re the girl i’m in love with.” he smiled rubbing the back of his neck before taking my hand into his.
“you’re what?” i gasped to which he laughed at then walked back over to me. he placed both of his hands in the crook of my neck before pulling me inches away from his face.
“hopelessly in love with you.”

i have loved you since we were 18
minho x chan headcanons warnings: the gif at the end has a bit of flashing

Tumblr media
before they started dating, they were roommates
and they were roommates
only for the first year of college tho, after that they just visited each other more and more until it felt like they were practically living with one other
minho was the first to confess
he just woke up one day and saw he fell asleep beside chan (with his cute bed hair might i add) after helping him with a project and was just like “yeah i’m in love with him.”
minho doesn’t really like to beat around the bush bUT EVERYTIME HE TRIED TO CONFESS SOMETHING WENT WRONG!!
the first time he tried to while they were watching a movie and the power went out so he fumbled around looking for candles with chan instead of declaring his love
the next time they were out on a walk where, chan, being the klutz he was, fell over and sprained his wrist
the THIRD time he was just gonna visit chan in the college studios, but when he went in chan laid his head in his lap and immediately fell asleep
and chan never sleeps so minho wouldnt wake him up just to say i love you
the fourth time chan was making ramen and minho just walked in and as nonchalantly as possible went
“i’m in love with you, do you wanna go on a date?”
chan may or may not have gotten a burn from being so shocked and splashing boiling water on his hand
to which minho rushed him to the faucet and fussed over him while chan tried to express he wanted to go on a date but minho was like
“stfu ur hand is burning!!” and chan is all like “ok but like i wanna date u!!”
they just sorta forgot to tell their friend group they were dating?/$:$: it was just so casual they just assumed their friends could tell
like all eight of them were literally out eating dinner and minho was just like “babe you have something on your lips,” and just swipes a napkin and pecks his lips and chan goes along with it cus that’s his boyfriend duh
bUT THE ENTIRE TABLE IS LIKE DID YALL SEE THAT SHIT?:$:&;
like no one could tell they were dating hsjdj
and that’s how they ended up paying for everyones meal as an apology
(they would’ve paid anyway but don’t tell them that)
they both occasionally said i love you while they were friends but when they started dating minho slipped it in when he was making breakfast
and chan replied back with the same ease but his heart was shjdkfkllglg
they decide to move in a year after dating since they had been friends for so long and had lived with the other before, so why not?
chan was a hoe for all things anime and always tried to get minho to get into it as well, and even though minho never did he never resisted when chan asked him to watch one with him
cus that meant cuddles :’)
chan did get him into playing mario kart with him and a lot of disputes were deicided by it
chan will just go “i don’t wanna take out the trash right now-”
and minho will go “whoever loses a round of mario kart has to.”
they’re both board game addicts
nothing makes a relationship stronger then beating your significant other in uno!!
“WHAT THE FUCK YOU DID NOT GIVE ME A PLUS FOUR- ending this relationship,”
“minho this is the twentieth round give up already—”
“REMATCH!”
minho often called chan the sugar daddy he had always wanted
if minho even showed the slightest interest in something you bet it would be in his room in less then a week
“that kid has really cute shoes-,”
*chan already ordering it on his phone*, “consider it done.”
chan just liked spoiling minho :((
he deserved it :(((
grocery shopping ಠ_ಠ
it was an entire event if you decided to go with minho, who had the attention span of a five year old and wandered off every two minutes
chan would always look to his side and find it empty and then get texts from minho along the lines of:
minho 💓: [4:26pm] i’m in the stroller section pls find me there’s so many kids screaming i’m going to die
minho 💓: [4:33pm] somehow i ended up in the cheese section and i don’t know how to get out and also can we try strawberry cream cheese
minho 💓: [4:37pm] im in the cat food aisle
chan 🐺🤍:[4:38pm] bub we don’t even have a cat
minho 💓: [4:38pm] hear me out
yeah so they end up getting a cat,,,or maybe three
minho couldnt just say no!!! how could you say no to three kitties :(
chan did get jealous of the cats,, but can u blame him!?
and when minho found out he teased him endlessly about it
but makes sure to reassure him and tell him how he has nothing to be jealous of cus he loved him and only him like that
“awe do you want me to scoop up your shit too baby?”
“minho i will kick you,-”
chan does not sleep.
minho knew this since they used to live with one another but he didn’t realize how bad it had gotten until they were living together again
as someone who loves his beauty sleep he didn’t get how chan could stay up till the ass crack of dawn
as a dancer he used to stay late up practicing but nOT TILL 6AM IN THE MORNIN):$:
and chan didn’t always do it for work, he just couldn’t sleep so he would stay up and do anything but
minho would literally hear him rummaging around as he sits upstairs
he didn’t like knowing his baby was awake all alone every night so he started sitting with him and attempting to tire him out at night
( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
nskddjdj no he just suggested chan work out at night so he came home tired
(and seeing him in sleeveless tops and all sweaty was a bonus)
and when that didn’t work he made him some hot chocolate and played with his hair until he did
one time chan asked if they could play a game until he fell asleep so minho suggested truth or dare
minho: okay truth or dare?
chan: truth
minho: how many hours have you slept this week?
chan:
chan:...dare
minho: go to bed
chan: i don’t like this game
and if that doesn’t work
minho just seduced chan to sleep
“hey channie, you’d look so good bundled under our comforter right now, so warm and snuggled up,—”
“...are you seducing me? to sleep?”
“no,” *bites lip*
(☞ ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)☞
proposing!!!
chan rlly wanted to beat minho in proposing so he devised a plan to do it during christmas cus what better gift then the gift of marrying his lover?
(and maybe an abundance of cat toys)
chan was a poor stuttering mess throughout as he fumbled to get the ring box out but what he didn’t expect was minho to get on his knees as well and pull out his own box
noT HIS BOYFRIEND ONE UPPING HIM?
they both obviously said yes and had a cute wedding a couple months later
chan was prepared to spend as much as minho wanted but minho suggested something just with their friends and family
(they were both a crying mess during the ceremony)
during the first dance minho led the way and when he dipped chan his heart went sbjdkko
minho in a suit
MINHO IN A SUIT)::$/)$:
after they both get married, minho starts introducing chan as his ex boyfriend wherever they go
when chan introduced him to his coworkers after getting signed to jyp he said chan was his ex ಠ_ಠ
(;´༎ຶٹ༎ຶ`) poor chan came back to the table all confused when his co workers were giving him weird looks
but minho thought it was hilarious
“this is chan, my ex boyfriend.”
changbin off to the side, “THEY’RE MARRIED!”
their relationship would be lowkey, they don’t do much pda whenever their out with their friends and save it for private
but when he feels like it minho will reach other and peck chan’s cheeks or thread his fingers through his and swing their arms
chan often started to skip whenever they went on walks and ended up dragging minho along with him
sometimes, after a long night, minho will turn on some low music and pull chan in for a slow dance in the living room
he’ll just moonwalk into the kitchen and bow down, “may i have this dance my good sir?”
and chan is a blushing mess the entire time
just happy fluff
on the rare occasions they do have disagreements it’s usually over in a few days (or less)
chan hates fighting so he’s usually the first one going back to talk and work things out
we love communication 😩
all in all it would seem like they were just always together, no one around them could imagine them at a time when they weren’t :(

when i was in love | verivery
Tumblr media
➞ verivery x ex! reader
➞ angst, post break-up
➞ love, it was a fleeting moment where they could feel a sense of belongingness. how does verivery cope up with the fact you are gone?
Tumblr media
dongheon: he is tired and perhaps that is an understatement. taking up law school when it isn't even your dream can easily tire out a person after all. he was a filial son, never the one to disobey his parents.
all those expectations makes it understandable that there are days he'd be very burnt out. he supposes coming home to you can make him remember that by the end of the day there was something that makes him know that it was worth it
"i'm home!" he calls but silence is all he receives. ah, thats right you're not there. for someone who knows he should never be wrong how is it that he can't remember you're already gone?
hoyoung: holding on to the memories wasn't a rational thing when he isn't exactly over you but hoyoung didn't want to be rational. he's heart broken, the poor boy didn't need to be rational.
if he had done things differently, would you still be in his arms? he keeps on thinking of the what ifs and everything that might have made you stay.
for a teacher he was being foolish and it didn't help that the children couldn't read the room. they keep on asking about you and he couldn't bring himself to tell his students that he can no longer marry you.
minchan: the day of your break up should have been the day he realized that everything was over but it took him so the long that when you gave him your wedding invitation, it was there the truth finally sunk in.
you could say that he's a masochist when he decided to go to your wedding. you were dazzling in your wedding dress and he could clearly see the love between you and your soon-to-be husband. had you give him that smile on the last days of your relationship?
minchan is truly happy for you, however, he can't help but think that he should have been the man in front of you in that altar.
gyeheon: before his career took off, gyeheon used to sing in cafes. that was how he met you. when everyone was telling him that he's stupid to pursue such dreams, you were there to support him.
messages left on read, missed calls, and an empty apartment. it was as if you never existed but that wasn't the case. you had became the unreachable which was what you feared gyeheon would become once he debuts.
now that he's a popular solo artist who is praised for his vocals and has his face plastered everywhere perhaps by dedicating all his songs to you, he could reach you one last time.
yeonho: some could say that he is a fool for buying flowers, that he is a fool for having a schedule just to visit you but he isn't having any of that. all their words just falls on deaf ears.
he knows that by now he should have moved on already. this was unhealthy for the both you. he should let you go now so that the both of you could continue on without any guilt or regrets. but knowing is different from doing.
yeonho can't bring himself to forget you, he loved you — no, he still loves you and thinks of you — which is why without fail, he always makes sure there are fresh flowers on your grave.
yongseung: he's a brilliant researcher recognized by the academy and it was an achievement by itself, after all the academy has standards hard to reach. he has his future ready and steady and yet he feels as if its all too underwhelming.
he tries to remind himself that this was what he wanted. you were a temporary distraction, a momentary muse. its his research that needs all of his attention. being a genius recognized by the academy and then the world is what he wanted. but he knows that this isn't the case.
yongseung thinks he's selfish for wanting you back in his life and so he buries himself in his research in hopes of forgetting you.
kangmin: everyone gets their heart broken — kangmin knows that and yet he went around with the belief that maybe he's lucky and things won't change. it was there that made everything even more painful.
when you told him that you love him, did you mean it? or was it a deliberate plan made to break his heart? why? why? WHY? he doesn't understand why you can end your relationship that easily.
seeing you with your new boyfriend makes kangmin think that maybe your love for him wasn't even there in the first place.

At Your Service
Pairing: F!Reader x Escort!MinChan  Word count: 2.4K
Tumblr media
You sighed deeply, feeling the warm water cascade down your shoulders, taking some of the tension you had built up on your muscles along with it, but that alone wasn’t enough. The immense stress that your job put on you along with so many nights of sleeping alone had started to get to you. You wouldn’t say that you were one to feel incomplete while not in the company of a significant other, but as your needs grew, you found it harder to satiate them yourself, often leaving yourself feeling unsatisfied. You craved the touch of someone else.
Of course, you attempted to follow the trend of meeting people on dating apps and engaging in one night stands, but you were quick to realise that it simply wasn’t for you after having two separate experiences which left you deeply disappointed, and wondering whether men were even able to make women orgasm anymore. After telling your friend of your encounters and how you’ve given up hope on dating apps she suggested you hire an escort, if what you were looking for was just great sex. You dismissed her idea, saying that such a service would only be a waste of money and that you were bound to find someone who would be able to give you what you need, for free at that. But you had no such luck, not even after four months. It was almost as frustrating for your friend as it was for you, seeing as she had to put up with your constant whining and complaining. Even after months had passed she was still adamant about how you should at least try her suggestion, claiming that she heard of an extremely luxurious escort lounge through a coworker. It took some time, but eventually you gave in and decided to test the waters, though still quite skeptical, you had little hopes for what was to come. You had made an “appointment”, as they called it, about a week before, telling yourself you needed time to prepare, both physically and mentally. The website, which insured complete secrecy, offered a wide variety of escorts to choose from, which only made it harder for you to take your pick. After spending hours scrolling on your phone, reading the description provided of each escort and thoroughly analyzing their photos, you decided to go for a guy named Chris. His photo provided a glimpse of his toned muscles and charming smile, but not much else. You chose not to dwindle on your decision for too long, fearing that you would change your mind and end up back at square one.
A week later you found yourself walking through the doors of a lavish club which seemed more like a 5-star hotel. There were both men and women dressed in expensive attire throughout the room. You timidly searched for the front desk, hoping whoever was there wouldn’t poke fun at your anxious state. Thankfully you were greeted with an understanding smile by a woman named Mia, who gave you a brief explanation of how everything worked. She would tell you which room your escort would be waiting in, and would announce to them that you were on your way and all you had to do was make it there in one piece. Seemed simple enough. Before you left she assured you that you had nothing to be worried about and that you were in good hands.
“It’s not too late to turn back.” you told yourself, but if you did so you would lose both the experience and your deposit. Before you knew it you were already standing in front of Chris’ room, realizing then there really was no turning back. Chris was already standing at the door frame by the time you arrived. He greeted you with a smile, and allowed you to come inside, immediately offering you something to drink. You admitted to being too nervous to drink anything and he nodded in understanding.
“Is there anything I can do to help ease your nerves? You know, before we start?”
You could only shrug, scratching your head awkwardly.
“Okay how about, I eat your pussy? Would that calm you down a bit?”
You felt your cheeks heat up at his coarseness, but you went along with it nonetheless. That is why you were here after all.
Chris approached you slowly, sitting down on the bed beside you, helping you out of both your bottoms before ridding himself of his shirt. You couldn’t help but stare at his toned arms and defined abs, and you would’ve stared at them for much longer if his touch hadn’t pulled you away from your thoughts. He instructed you to straddle him as he laid down. He chuckled when you gave him a confused look.
“This way you can set your own pace, is that alright?”
You decided to go along with it,as you figured that he would know what he’s doing. He guided you towards his face, your aching pussy spread out in front of him.
“Whenever you’re ready.”
You took a deep breath and lowered yourself, providing Chris with direct access to your heat. He placed kitten licks on your clit, allowing you to get accustomed to the situation before wrapping his lips around the small bud and sucking harshly. You got the impression that Chris was enjoying himself just as much as you were, as he was moaning against your clit, the vibrations making your legs shake in pleasure. Chris’ hands found themselves holding onto your waist, helping you maintain balance as you grinded against his tongue, practically fucking his face. Your moans grew louder as your orgasm approached, your toes curled up as you pulled away, your pussy convulsing vigorously. You collapsed beside him as he sat up, wiping your juices from his chin with the back of his hand.
“Do you need a minute or do you wanna go again?”
You asked yourself if he was insane, how could you go again after cumming that intensely. And yet no more than 5 minutes after your first orgasm you found yourself on all fours in front of Chris, who was thrusting into you at an incredible speed. He had his chest pressed against your back and you could feel his chiseled abs on your skin. He had one hand supporting his weight and the other rubbing your clit. Every so often he would plant chaste kisses on your back and shoulders, followed by praise that made you melt.
“You feel so good, I won’t last much longer, shit.”
And he really didn’t, though neither did you. But mere moments later you were right back where you started, ready for another round.
From then on you found yourself seeing Chris once a month, twice if you were lucky.
You felt your muscles contort, an evident frown forming on your face as you refreshed the page once more only to receive the same notification. Due to your busy schedule the days you could make an appointment to see Chris were very limited, but luck had always been on your side and you were able to see him on the days you were free without any difficulties, until now that is. Your frustration grew as you continuously refreshed the website but were still met with the words “No slots available”
You could easily be considered a regular there, but you hadn’t been with anyone other than Chris. You were unsure whether to just give up and visit the following month, maybe even making an appointment several weeks in advance this time, or to simply go for someone else. You really didn’t feel like going through the trouble of searching for someone else, seeing as it was already difficult for you to pick the first time. You were close to giving up on your search until you discovered a rather convenient quiz the website provided, which claimed to help you find the perfect sexual partner for you. After hesitantly clicking on the link you were redirected to a page with various questions regarding your kinks, desires and fantasies. It was a rather quick quiz that certainly didn’t beat around the bush. After calculating your results you were met with the name Minho in bold letters, along with a short description of him right beside his photo. You opted to trust their recommendation and booked a session with Minho for later that week.
You walked into the building with less confidence than in the recent months, yet still not as apprehensive as the first time. You were nervous about what this new experience might be like, but you were excited nonetheless, wondering what Minho would do differently than Chris. Heading over to the front desk you greeted the receptionist whom you’ve grown fairly friendly with over the recent months. You made casual small talk as she typed away on her computer before stopping abruptly and looking up at you with a puzzled look on her face.
“Do you not have a session with Chris tonight?”
Your cheeks flushed as you avoided her gaze, announcing that you were, in fact, there to see Minho. She cocked her eyebrow at you, smirking slightly and continued without another word. You shrugged it off, bidding her a farewell as you began heading towards the room you had been assigned, rolling your eyes when she shouted “Have fun!” from behind you.
You knocked twice and Minho opened the door almost immediately, clearly expecting you.
He was dressed simply, button up and black dress pants. His hair was pushed back, slightly damp from what you assumed was gel. He invited you inside and was quick to comment about how he had seen you before but never expected you to go for anyone other than Chris.
“It’s quite an honor, actually, to have some fun with Chris’ plaything. Or is it the other way around, hm?”
There was only silence, which caused Minho to sigh. He made his way behind you, helping you slip off your coat as he whispered in your ear.
“No need to be so tense, I’m here to help you unwind after all.”
He ran his hands up and down your arms as he nipped and sucked on the exposed area of your neck. His hands then traveled to your sides, fingers gently tugging at the hem of your shirt before pulling it over your head. His fingers softly traced the skin of your abdomen while he walked forward, leading you towards the bed. He planted wet kisses down your spine, getting lower with each kiss and pulling down your pants in the process. Once you were left in nothing but your undergarments he gently pushed you down onto the bed. You were at a 90 degree angle, your upper body laying on the bed as your knees pressed onto the floor supporting your lower half. Minho ran his hand up and down your back, humming at your reaction.
“Eager, aren’t we? Maybe I should just give you what you want.”
He wasted no time waiting for an answer as he placed a small kiss on your pussy through your panties. He moved onto your inner thighs, leaving chaste kisses on the supple skin. He could feel your legs beginning to shake with anticipation and he was quick to return his attention to your aching pussy, licking a long stripe up your clothed folds. Minho pushed your panties aside as he pressed his finger against your entrance.
“Shit, you’re already getting wet, but you can do better than that, right?”
He slid his finger in deeper, curling it upwards as his lips found their way around your clit, sucking on the bundle of nerves. He pumped his finger in and out of you at a slow pace, taking care to give enough attention to your clit. He withdrew his finger, only to collect your juices with his index and middle finger before sliding them back in, groaning in satisfaction.
“You’re taking my fingers so well, can’t believe you’re so tight after being such a whore for Chris”
You felt yourself clench at his words, burying your face in the sheets to muffle your whine.
Your relationship with Chris was purely one of give and take. He provided you with a service which you paid for. You had no feelings for him and were sure he had none for you. Yet, choosing Minho over him this one time felt as if you were being unfaithful, but it also made your pussy ache with need for Minho’s touch. You wanted to feel him inside you, and you desperately wanted him to be the one to make you cum over and over again. He picked up his pace and had replaced his mouth with his thumb, which was now rubbing circles on your clit.
Minho caught on to your attempt at trying to keep yourself quiet and clicked his tongue. With his free hand he grabbed hold of your hair, raising your head slightly so that your face was no longer against the mattress. His new position meant that it was now harder for him to reach your clit, but his index and middle finger never once stopped pumping in and out of you.
“Now, now, if you don’t make any sound how am I supposed to know whether or not I’m doing a good job. Just for that I might not allow you to cum.”
“No, please, I’m so close.”
Your words caused him to smirk, seemingly strengthening his ego.
“Well, if that’s the case, I’d much rather have you cum on my cock, what do you say?” he said, removing his fingers from your heat. He helped you up, allowing you to sit on the bed properly. You eyed him closely as he removed his belt, his pants following soon after. He was left in only his white button up, of which half the buttons were now undone, and his boxers, the shape of his hard cock clearly visible. Minho unclasped your bra and helped you out of your panties, before slipping out of his boxers himself. He took the time to roll a condom onto his length, spreading your wetness onto the head of his dick. He pulled away for a moment, rubbing his thumb over your clit, followed but his palm slapping your pussy a few times. You felt your legs twitch as you ached to be filled up once more. He lined himself up at your entrance, but to your dismay stopping halfway to look over at the door which had previously been locked, swing open.
You glanced over Minho’s shoulder to see Chris, who still hadn’t finished his sentence, come through the door calling your name, clearly not knowing you would be preoccupied with Minho.
“Mia told me that you’d be in this room, my session got canceled so I figured we could have some fun. Oh, am I interrupting?”

VERIVERY - Get Away | Weird details & connection to old MVs | MINCHAN IS THERE! | secret French message on cake!
Tumblr media
They are observed by a strange flying sphere.
As in Tag Tag Tag MV, Kangmin tells us (?) to be silent, which still and again hints on him having a secret.
One of them runs through the forest and gets kidnapped, someone puts a bag over his head.
The person who kidnapped him wears this strange compass watch. | Minchan had a compass in Thunder and G.B.T.B, the compass always pointed to Kangmin |
In the tent we see all 6 boys, sitting around a round table, while being observed by the sphere.
Yongseung has a letter, it reads as follows (I'm leaving out some parts):
Tumblr media
"My dear friends, we are confident that you remember us, for we have always been with you [...] we would like to present you a small gift [...] quaint but delectable meal [...] is your job to find the key to that party [...] a hint: Each possess a small point. [...] 7 will make a large point will open [...] able to enter [...] Merely imagining the glorious spectacle makes our blood tingle with excitement. We will be waiting for you.[...]"
It's signed with a name, I on the first look thought it means Viktor, but it's likely that the first two letters are a VR an the rest idk. Looks like a VRtoR to me, if anyone can decipher it pls comment.
After the letter is read, they round up in the forest. | As in G.B.T.B, the circle symbolism is strong in here |
Tumblr media
Whatever now the "key" was, they apparently found it and could open a gate | that's when those forks appear ... But the forks ain't the keys are they hahahahaha |
They wake up in an empty room, but on beds. It's 7 beds, the one in the center is empty. | Minchan's bed? |
The gate is open now, a black hole in the ground, there's a red cloth floating over it/falling into it. | Minchan held a red cloth, the exact same, in G.B.T.B. In G.B.T.B he was about to drop the cloth but then tightly grabbed it so it couldn't fly away. Did he now lose it? Did G.B.T.B predict the future? Is Minchan the mastermind behind that all, and that's why he always knows the correct way by using the compass? |
Someone left his shoes there. If you compare it with pic 7, it's Kangmin's shoes. There's fog coming outta the shoes. | In Tag Tag Tag, Kangmin suddenly was barefoot and seemingly possessed by ? The evil? He left into the dark without his shoes, Minchan was the only one who noticed it, the one who watched him leave |
The freaking kidnapper (?) comes to the hole/gate, we don't see his face.
Hoyoung observes the members, INCLUDING himself (!) on a screen. | The CCTV symbolism from previous MVs and my beloved TV that appeared in almost each MV are back |
Tumblr media
Note that there arguably are 2 different Hoyoungs. One that is with the other members, and the one who observes them. Observer-Hoyoung has another style, glitter in his face and blue eyes. | In Tag Tag Tag there actually were two Hoyoungs as well, one in a mirror world and one in the actual world. |
Observer-Hoyoung wears black gloves. The kidnapper wore black gloves as well (see pic 3 and 4).
For whatever reason Kangmin seems weak and Dongheon has to help him walking.
Dongheon wants to drink sth but ends up handing the glass over to Kangmin without taking a sip.
Tumblr media
Kangmin attempts to drink Dongheon's drink, Yongseung for whatever reason watches him.
The cake has French writing on it, it says Tirez-moi de lá, which translates to "get me out of here". | Note: "lá" actually means "there", and usually you'd rather say "Tirez-moi d'ici", as "ici" means "here". Interestingly, photo MV already used the word "there" where you actually would have had to use "here"... |
Yongseung gets angry and destroys the cake. | There's some strange fog above the table, the same that came outta Kangmin's shoes |
We get to see the scene in style of a thermographic/infrared camera. I believe that's the point of view of the observer sphere.
Dongheon suddenly randomly appears with an apple. The lyrics of the song basically deal with an irresistible temptation, the apple always has been used as a symbol for temptation. But what tempts him?
Tumblr media
They fall in some low-key delirious state in which they eat whatever they can find, almost animalistic. At some point some of them seem to lose interest, Gyeheon drops his fork, Yeonho pours wine (?) on the floor.
It's still observed in CCTV style, interestingly now not only by Hoyoung but ALL MEMBERS!!!
Kangmin enjoys himself a lot, but then wants to grab the srly weirdest food on the table: Toast. It seems totally out of place, next to all that fancy food.
Dongheon gets angry at that and rams a fork into the toast. The others watch the scene without really caring. | The entire scene seems to be about greed, in my eyes. Wouldn't that, alongside the apple, be a somewhat biblical reference tho? |
Tumblr media
Following the fight over the ...toast..., Dongheon aggressively pushes Kangmin against some metal lattice/cages idk. After a weirdly sexually suggestive (???) almost kiss (???) he wants to stab Kangmin with the fork...
Now things however get complicated. The outfits changed. The Kangmin that ate the grapes wears another outfit than the Kangmin who wants the toast. Same with Dongheon and his apple. In the apple scene, he wore a different outfit than in the toast scene. The outfit in the toast scene and in the fight scene are the same. Arguably, it's the same clothing style like Observer-Hoyoung wore since beginning.
The newly clothed Dongheon now also fights with Gyeheon.
At the same time, members who wear the initial outfit, passed out and lie on the floor.
Newly clothed Dongheon wants to stab Gyeheon with his fork...There is a bathtub.
Tumblr media
Observer-Hoyoung stops Dongheon (still new clothes) from killing Gyeheon. In the close-up one sees that Dongheon also has glitter on his face, like Observer-Hoyoung previously.
They all are in the CCTV room, watching how Dongheon (IN OLD OUTFIT HOWEVER) passes out.
The bathtub is in that CCTV room.
Everything hints on the existence of 2 different versions of each member. The clothes and room change might show us when we see the original members and when we see the low-key violent and corrupted members. | Note that the entire mirror world / 2 versions of the group have already been a theme in previous MVs, I wrote that down in a previous post |
CCTV members leave the...base. Everything suddenly seems very space-ish. A connection to G.B.T.B.?
The members in the old, simple outfits, are tied to chairs, sitting in a circle. The center chair, like previously the bed, is empty. Minchan's chair?
The CCTV members, wearing the fancy outfits, aim with guns at them.
Tumblr media
Kangmin is the only member opening his eyes. When looking at his eyes thoroughly, one notices that his iris has a very strange pattern and a structure that one usually knows from screens.
A very short shot at the end shows a spiral-like way, literally spiraling down. The interesting thing however is that there's a person with a bag over his head, walking down that way without seeing anything, stretching his arms forward - arguably to find his way through touch because he literally can't see. That DEFINITELY is the member that was kidnapped in the very beginning. My assumption still is that the kidnapped person must be Kangmin. With the kidnapper I'm not sure, it might be Minchan (because compass and cloth) but could also be Hoyoung (because gloves and 1st observer). Maybe they even worked together?
Conclusion:
1. Ever since Tag Tag Tag sth is wrong with Kangmin, it seems that he's forever locked into some dark and lonely world and the others constantly try to reach to him but somehow don't manage to do so.
2. They definitely made sure to implement Minchan in the MV, even if only indirectly.
3. There again seems to be a good version of verivery and an evil version. Why ? What do they want ?
4. The letter is utterly creepy. It seems as if someone wants to play with them. To play a nasty and dangerous game, but I have no idea what the purpose it.

211212 VERIVERY in St Louis
We got in line at around 2 (we ate lunch at Egg, they were playing verivery songs. Dongheon mentioned it!). It was so much cooler than I was expecting. Connie ended up going to Ikea to get chairs and blankets lmao. But we ended up halfway down so not too bad! It was pretty cramped though so I couldn't jump around as much as I would have liked. I was really happy I could see their bodies this time so I could see their dancing! Also saw a Yongseung Nose Scrunch irl!
Kangmin had such an attitude today and the other members were just making it worse lmaooo you could really feel the teenager in him today. "You guys still have a lot of energy. WHY??" And during the song where someone dances in the middle (probably alright?) They made kangmin go twice haha.
They are getting so tired of saying their ments lol. Or speaking English. Or both . Yongseung had a whole second part of his ment but halfway through he was like "that's it! No episodes!"
They seemed to really like the heart project we did during Paradise! Connie got a video of them talking about it and it's one of my favorite vids of the night. During Super Special, I look over and suddenly Yeonho and Gyehyeon have their heads stuck together, and then Yeonho starts laughing at Minchan. Ah and during Ring Ring Ring Gyehyeon touched Yeonho’s face during the  세상 너만 예뻐 line.
Ok now on to hi-touch. Dongheon remembered me which I wasn't expecting since it's been a week. He looked surprised to see me and I'm like no wait I actually live here, I'm not weird. I tried telling Minchan he's handsome but I don't think he heard me. Kangmin did a regular hi-five. I think yongseung thinks I hate him lmao.
Gyehyeon squeezed my hand 😭 I tried removing my hand but he was still holding on he got me like 🥴 He was last so it was probably to make up for only using one hand.
That one person throwing up in the front though :/ hope that's not what they remember about st Louis

Hii, can you write something Minchan x reader where Minho gets out of an abusive relationship and ends up at Chan's/your place? 🥺
A/N: Hey there, this started as a short drabble before I edited it and turned this into a fic. I hope this is what you wanted and you like it. Thank you for the request💕🥰
Second Chance
Word Count: 4725
Summary: Chan and you help Minho the night he gets out of his abusive relationship. Due to your shared past Minho seems anxious to intrude. A year later things seem to be going well until a situation escalates and triggers a panic attack.
Warnings/Tags: angst, fluff, tw!physical abuse, tw!emotional abuse, tw!panic attack, bruises, emotional hurt/comfort, hurt/comfort, poly!skz
Tumblr media
You hum softly against your boyfriend's lips, indulging the warmth of his body against yours. You feel calm and loved here with him in the safety of your home. Smiling, you brush back his curls and nudge his nose with yours. "Come on now, you promised Min that dinner ages ago."
"Didn't I tell you? He texted me half an hour ago that he can't make it tonight," Chan says and kisses you lovingly. "That means I have time for you tonight, baby."
You frown softly as Chan starts kissing down your neck. "You think he's okay?"
"He didn't say anything else," Chan mumbles against your skin.
"Yeah, but-," you start and stop as he pulls back with a groan.
"Please, I don't want to think about our ex when I'm kissing you," he tells you.
"You mean our best friend, dummy," you giggle and Chan laughs, giving in. "I'm just worried. It isn't like him to cancel plans last minute without a reason."
"I don't know, maybe his boyfriend had plans?" he asks and you huff softly. "I know you don't like that guy, but-."
"You've seen the bruises, Channie, something's off," you say firmly, thinking of the last time Minho visited. He looked tired, sad even, and there had been a heavy bruise on his wrist that looked like someone grabbed him too hard. Chan asked him about it of course, but dropped it at how defensive Minho became.
"Listen, doll, he'll let us know if something's off," Chan says.
"Not when it's what I think it is," you shake your head. "What if he's being manipulated into thinking it's his fault? Or if he's too embarrassed to tell you? You know how hard it is for him to open up and-."
"Fucks sake," he climbs off the bed and searches for his phone. "I'm sure he's…," he starts and his face falls looking at his screen.
"Please don't tell me I was right," you whisper.
"I'm…Minho called. Ten times in the last twenty minutes," he says worriedly.
"Shit, you think they got into a fight?" you ask shocked.
"I don't know," he says and quickly puts on his sneakers, searching for his keys. His phone goes off, loudly this time as Chan had unmuted it. "Minho, what's wrong?" he asks worriedly and puts him on speaker.
"Chan, hyung, can I stay at yours? Just for tonight," Minho says shakily, glancing across his shoulder as he walks down the street to your apartment. "I'm so sorry about this but it's kind of an emergency," he rambles on.
"Yeah, sure, do you need me to pick you up?" he asks worriedly.
"Uh, I don't think that's a good idea," Minho shakes his head and quickens his steps as someone walks down the street behind him, getting closer. "I'll be there in a minute anyways."
"You're driving here?" Chan asks.
"No," Minho swallows. "Don't know where my drivers license is. Or my keys. You know me, I tend to misplace my stuff," he laughs it off, almost choking on it.
Chan exchanges a meaningful glance with you. Minho did not misplace his stuff often. "Okay, just ring the bell when you're here, Y/N will buzz you in," he says.
"Chan," Minho bursts out panicked, closing his eyes for a second to remind himself to stay calm. "Please don't hang up yet," he pleads and looks back once more realizing the guy behind him is his boyfriend. "Fuck, no," he whispers.
"What's wrong?" Chan asks, eyes widening as Minho doesn't answer before yelping in pain. Chan drops his phone and races off, leaving your front door open.
You grab Chan's phone and rush to the door, waiting there anxiously. "Min?" you ask worriedly and only hear something crash to the ground, suspecting it was his phone.
Minho winces in pain as his boyfriend grabs his hair forcefully and tries to get away from him. "Please, stop," he begs, hot tears already filling his eyes again and spilling down his cheeks.
"Who the fuck allowed you to leave, huh? You have nowhere to go, you need me to function because you're too dumb to do it on your own," he shouts at him and punches him into the stomach. "Why the fuck would you run off?"
He groans surprised, fresh tears shooting into his eyes. "Please, I'm so sorry," he begs. Minho bends over in pain but doesn't get far due to the harsh tug at his hair. He chokes on his sobs and braces himself for the next hit.
"Let go of him!" Chan snaps as soon as he reaches them.
"Channie," Minho whimpers in fear, wincing as his boyfriend grabs his chin forcefully.
"Seriously? You're still not over him?" he asks darkly and Minho's eyes flicker anxiously. "Out of everyone you call him. I knew you'd cheat on me."
"I didn't-," Minho starts weakly and flinches heavily when Chan's suddenly next to him, one hand on his lower back.
"I won't say it again, let go of him," Chan says firmly.
"I won't do shit," he tells him sharply. "This is my boyfriend, Chan, back off."
"Alright then," Chan says and with a swift move he punches him right into the face, delivering another forceful hit into his stomach.
Minho backs away as soon as his hold on him lessens and hides behind Chan, anxiously grabbing the hem of Chan's shirt. "Chan," he whispers. "Chan, we should leave."
"Get inside, I'll be there in a minute," Chan tells him.
"Channie he has a knife," Minho begs him through tears.
Chan reaches back for him and takes his hand, eyeing the man in front of him. "Minho, run," he says and pulls him with him. Chan pulls the front door closed behind them and follows Minho, who's already stumbling up the stairs to your apartment.
Your eyes widen as you see him rushing up the stairs, tears streaming down his face. "Minho," you say shocked as he gets closer and you notice how hard he's shaking.
Chan reaches the door only seconds later and gently shoves Minho inside. "Come on, let's get inside and close that door."
Minho doesn't get far, sliding down against a wall in your hallway as soon as the door's closed. He pulls his legs to his chest, whimpering as he rocks himself, trying to calm down. Heavy sobs shake his body as he tries to hold them back and his breathing quickens.
You subconsciously grab Chan's hand, too shocked to move for a moment as you watch him breaking down. That's a very rare side of Minho. You squint your eyes as Minho messily wipes his cheeks and you can see the bruised skin beneath the makeup he put on to hide them. Your heart sinks to your stomach as you take a few steps forward and crouch down in front of him, keeping your distance. "Minnie?" you ask softly and after the third time he snaps out of his state and stares at you with wide eyes. "Minnie, what happened?" you ask gently, barely noticing Chan sitting on the floor next to you.
"Please don't tell anyone," he presses out, glancing from you to Chan. "You can't," he whimpers.
"Don't tell anyone what?" Chan asks calmly. He knows what he saw out there but did Minho?
"That we had a fight. No one can know," he says desperately.
"Why?" Chan asks patiently and fear flickers in Minho's eyes. "What happens if someone knows?"
Minho shakes his head rapidly, backing further away against the wall. "Please don't."
"What?" Chan asks and reaches out for him, placing his hand on his knee.
Minho whimpers in fear, flinching heavily, and pushes himself up. "This was a mistake," he says and stumbles toward your door. "Sorry for bothering you two."
"No, Min, you're not bothering us," you try to get up but Chan holds you back, reading the situation better than you.
"Kitten?" he asks and Minho stops in his tracks at that old term of endearment. "Please stay? You're safe here, we don't have to talk about it today, I promise."
Minho hugs himself and glances at the door, torn between his options. "I-uhm-I don't know if…," he trails off meeting your worried eyes.
"It's okay, you can stay," you assure him gently. "We have all the time you need."
"It's fine, I'll just go back home," he chokes on the last word, his eyes betraying him.
"I don't think that's a good idea," Chan tells him gently.
"Listen, Chan, just because things with you were different doesn't mean it's all bad," Minho grows defensive.
"Different? You mean because I didn't hit you in the middle of the street?" he asks and you contort your face, unsure of how Minho would take that. "Come on, you know better than that. You don't deserve to be treated this way."
"Yes, I do," Minho whispers. "I deserve every little bit of it because it's my own fault I gave up on something good. I gave up on you."
"Sometimes things don't work the way we want them to…but you didn't give up on us. And we won't give up on you now," Chan says firmly.
Minho's face falls in a sob as he gives in. "Channie," he whimpers and Chan gets up slowly.
"Can I give you a hug?" he asks caringly and Minho nods anxiously. "Okay, deep breaths," he says as he steps closer and Minho subconsciously takes a step back. "I'm here, it's okay," he promises softly, holding his hand out for him. "It's Channie, remember?" he asks soothingly and Minho nods, seeming as if he has to process that information first. Chan very gently places his hands on Minho's shoulders first before fondling down his arms. "Easy there," he whispers and takes another step forward, carefully wrapping his arms around him. "That's okay, kitten?"
Minho nods weakly and buries his face in his shoulder, hugging him back hesitantly. "I can't breathe," he whispers, clutching his shirt as he feels the panic still boiling deep inside of him.
"Y/N, come here," Chan tells you, still keeping his volume down. "Is it okay if Y/N hugs you too?" he asks, soothingly rubbing his back. "You need to feel some kind of weight or pressure to calm down right?"
Minho bites back a sob, hearing that Chan still remembers that. "Yeah," he answers shakily and sucks in a sharp breath.
You follow Chan's instructions, stepping behind Minho and hugging him as well. You and Chan trap him between your bodies and hug him tightly. "Okay, Minnie, now breathe in deep through your nose…and out through the mouth. Deep breaths," you tell him, guiding him through it. You have witnessed him panicking once before after their video shoot high up on that helicopter landing platform. It feels like ages ago.
Minho grows calmer in your hold after a while, his breathing calms and his body stops shaking. Instead he's shivering with exhaustion and the adrenaline leaving his body. "I promise I'll be gone tomorrow," he tells you quietly.
"We'll talk about that tomorrow. One step at a time, okay?" Chan says soothingly and exchanges a worried look with you. "Let's go and sit down?"
"That sounds like a good idea," you nod, gently nudging Minho forward into your apartment. You don't have to tell him the directions, this has been his home before after all. You go to grab some warm blankets and Chan takes his laptop and headphones from the sofa to make some room. Minho stands still in the middle of your living room, anxiously fidgeting with the sleeve of his sweater. "Chan, why don't you go and help Min put on some comfy clothes?"
Chan turns to look at you and glancing at Minho makes him realize your intention. "Sure, come on," he says and carefully takes his hand pulling him with him. Minho follows him until they reach your bedroom and he comes to a sudden stop. "Min?" he asks.
"I-uh-I'm sorry," he shakes his head, following him inside. The amount of memories crashing down on him steals his breath for a moment. It's still the same bed, curtains and even the pictures of his cats are still on your desk in the corner. He remembers the many intimate moments he spent here with both you and Chan, the many nights and lazy mornings. "It's too much," he whispers.
Chan closes the closet and tilts his head at him. "What is?"
"This here," he says, vaguely waving through the room. "I can't go back to his place, because that's not home. This isn't either because it was before I fucked it all up. I have nowhere to go and-," tears brim his eyes all over again and he huffs at himself in utter frustration. "God, I'm so stupid."
Chan sits down at the edge of the bed and pats the space next to him. "Come here," he says and after a moment of hesitation he does. "I know you're going through shit right now, your feelings are all over the place and you're scared and confused. But you're not alone, you don't have to be."
Minho chews on his lower lip and stares down as Chan carefully takes his hand again. "He was right."
"About what?" he asks calmly.
"I am still in love with the two of you. I do think about what I lost here a lot…but I never told him that," he confesses quietly. "I was so scared that things wouldn't work out or our fans wouldn't accept us the way we were that I freaked out, destroying the thing I was so scared of losing."
Chan swallows softly and fondles his knuckles as he listens. "How long has this been going on?"
"What? The screaming? The hitting? The hairpulling?" Minho asks sarcastically before exhaling loudly. "A month into the relationship."
"A-Minho that's been five months," Chan exclaims in shock.
"I know," he nods and stares into the distance. "I felt like I deserved it. He encouraged that and I got stuck in this shitty cycle of wanting to be useful for that person you fear but strangely still love."
"What did he do?" Chan asks and a shadow travels over Minho's face.
"Not tonight," he shakes his head and gives him a sad smile. "If that's okay."
"Okay, yeah, of course," Chan nods quickly. "You don't have to say anything but…we love you too. And we miss you, we miss your dumb jokes and sassy comments. We miss your adorable laugh and Y/N misses you every time she has to glam up all on her own. So, we think about you a lot as well. What I'm trying to say is that if you'd ever feel ready, we're there. If not, we'll always be your friends and this means you can stay with us for as long as you want to, no matter what you choose. It's your choice, okay?"
"Okay," he whispers and drops his head, burying his face in his shoulder.
"But that's also not something to discuss tonight," Chan says, planting a tiny kiss on his hair. "Just wanted you to know you're always welcome here."
Minho squeezes his hand tightly. "Thank you."
Chan stays there with him for another while, mindlessly rubbing his knuckles and whispering soothing nonsense to him from time to time. He doesn't know how long they stay there like this but it seems to help Minho's body calm down. You come to look for them after a while, your expression softening seeing them.
You sit down at Minho's other side and gently pat his thigh. "Hey there, doing a little better?"
He hums gently and blindly reaches out for your hand, squeezing it as he finds it. "I love you, you know that right?" he asks and you're too stunned to answer for a second.
"I-uh-yeah, I guess I do," you stammer and Chan flashes you a compassionate smile.
Minho pulls away from Chan's shoulder and turns to look at. "I know I fucked up, Y/N, even if you say I didn't. I didn't hurt you on purpose."
"I know," you say quietly.
"I just…I was scared," Minho says and lets go of Chan's and your hands. "And now I'm back here and I've never been more scared in my life before," he admits shakily and rubs his thighs, trying to steady himself.
"He can't hurt you here, I promise," you try to soothe him.
"I'm scared of what that shit did to me," he shakes his head. "I'm scared of him. I'm scared to lose you because I'll be a burden now…and it fucking terrifies me that I'm so open and honest about my feelings right now," he adds at the end making you all laugh.
"That means you're making progress," you say and a weak smile tugs at the corners of his lips.
"We can work this all out together…and if there are things we can't deal with we'll find someone who can," Chan adds and Minho nods thankfully.
"I want you to keep that up and be very clear about your boundaries with us, okay?" you ask. "We don't want to trigger anything or make you feel uncomfortable."
"I can try," Minho promises bravely.
"And don't hesitate asking us if you need anything," Chan continues.
"I will," he nods.
You pull him into a hug and bury your face in his hair, tears brimming your eyes as he hugs you back tightly. "We got you, Minnie."
One year later
Chan paces your shared apartment, phone clutched in his hand, as he tries to stay calm. You can tell he has trouble doing so, noticing the way his hands shake, his chest heaves with irregular breaths, and the worry clouding his usually soft brown eyes. Your boyfriend checks the time once again, a low groan slipping from his lips as he realizes only five minutes have passed since he last checked.
“Channie,” you say very gently, and he stops, staring at you with wide eyes. “Come here, sit down for a minute.”
“Can’t,” he shakes his head and continues the reckless pace from before.
“I’m sure he’s alright,” you say, trying to convince yourself at the same time.
“You don’t know that,” he shakes his head firmly. “What if that asshole met him somewhere and-” his voice breaks, and he quickly shuts his mouth again.
“Chan,” you say firmly. “We can’t keep on expecting the worst. Nothing has happened in a year. Min’s an adult, he can do what he wants. If he decides to stay away for a whole day, then that’s his choice.”
“He’s not thinking straight at the moment, you know that. Now that he's been with us for a whole year everything comes up again. He’s emotional; he keeps on seeking our help, trying not to bother us, and I need to keep him safe, I-” he breaks off again as he meets your eyes.
“Stop making what happened to him your fault,” you tell him. “I know he means a lot to you, I know you want to keep him safe, but stop blaming yourself for what his ex did.”
“He called me Y/N. Repeatedly. I was busy making out with you as this asshole hurt him,” he says, getting more emotional with every passing minute. “And still, he came here as soon as he could.”
You have enough and slip off your chair, making your way over to him. “That’s because he trusts you…and sometimes you have to trust him too,” you say and offer him a hug.
Chan pulls you into his arms and buries his face in your hair. He can feel your heart racing against his chest and snorts. “So much to staying calm.”
“It’s not that I’m not worried myself, Channie,” you remind him calmly.
You still remember the night one year ago as if it was yesterday. Not a night has passed since then without him joining the two of you in your bed at night, first as your friend, then in search for the love he thought he lost. Time healed the bruises, the split lip but not the scars left on his heart, and the fear that was still deep in his bones. By now you were finding your routine as a throuple but there was still a lot to figure out. So, of course, Chan gets worried when Minho doesn’t show up for a whole day and doesn’t answer his phone.
The front door to your apartment opens, and you look up surprised as Minho strolls in calmly, two bags in his hand, keys in the other. He frowns softly as he spots the two of you and tilts his head at you, meeting your eyes. "You're okay?"
Chan lets go of you, and you can tell his worries get replaced by anger, which is also a very familiar part of him worrying to you. “Where the fuck have you been?” he asks firmly.
“What?” Minho asks confused, flinching at the harsh tone.
“I tried calling you for like a hundred times, Min. I’ve been worried sick all day about you!” Chan goes on, letting his anger flow freely now.
"Chan," you try gently.
Minho’s stomach turns painfully as the common fear of what is about to unfold takes hold of him. He puts down the bags shakily, bracing himself for all the hurtful words that would leave his hyung's mouth at any second. He deserves every one of them. "I-I turned off my phone," he says quietly.
"You can't be serious," Chan snaps, and you glance at him worriedly. "I told you always to keep that damn thing close so I can find you when something happens."
"I-I'm sorry, hyung," Minho says shakily, staring at the floor in front of him. "I know that was stupid. I'm stupid."
"You're not stupid, Min," you chime in gently, but the younger male shakes his head firmly.
"I am," he presses out, body shaking in fear as he feels put back into a situation he thought he escaped.
"I told you so often," Chan insists tiredly, voice growing more gentle. "How could you forget that?"
"I'm sorry," he whimpers, tears shooting to his eyes and spilling right down his cheeks. "I-I should've told you. I'm sorry, I wasn't thinking," he starts, sounding a little panicked. "I'm so stupid, I'm sorry I worried you. Please don't punish me."
Chan's whole demeanor changes at that sudden breakdown, face falling. "Fuck," he breathes out, realizing how triggering this must've been. "Minho, no one is going to punish you," he says gently, making his way over, not knowing that being soft was exactly what Minho got before the snap.
Minho subconsciously takes a step back, shivering. "Please, I'll do better, I promise," he tries to save himself. Stumbling back blindly, he trips over Chan's backpack and falls backward, hitting his head at the front door as he crashes onto the ground.
"Shit," you breathe out shocked.
By the time Chan reaches him to help him up, he's sobbing, curling up on the floor and protecting his head. "Min, hey, hey, it's okay," Chan tries, crouching down. The moment he touches him, Minho screams in fear, making him flinch back.
"Please," he sobs, making himself even smaller.
Chan looks back at you, eyes filling with tears and practically screaming for help. He backs away quietly from Minho as you make your way over.
You crouch down next to him and hesitantly place your hand on his lower back. "Minnie," you say soothingly, knowing no one else but Chan and you called him that. "Minnie, angel, you're safe. I'm here, no one can hurt you, okay?" Your voice breaks through the fog of panic, and Minho scrambles onto his knees, lunging forward and holding onto you tightly. You hold onto him just as tight, soothingly running your hand through his hair. "Shh, it's okay," you whisper and rock him in your arms. "It's okay, you're safe."
Minho sobs into your sweater, holding onto you for dear life. He tries focusing on your scent, how your hair feels beneath his fingertips, and how your body is warm against his. He tries pushing all the dark memories aside, reminding himself that he is, in fact, safe. Safe in your warm embrace.
You glance over at Chan, who watches you, still standing in the same spot. The guilt in his eyes is overwhelming, and he doesn't bother wiping away the tears running down his cheeks. You hold out your hand for him, but he shakes his head weakly. "Channie babe, come here," you say soothingly. "Chan was just worried, he didn't mean to upset you, dear," you say toward Minho, and the younger one nods bravely. "Come on," you encourage your boyfriend.
Chan slowly makes his way over, shaking as he sits beside you. "Minnie, I'm so sorry," he presses out, hesitantly rubbing his back.
Minho pulls back and looks at him through teary eyes. "Something's wrong with me," he whispers, and Chan searches his eyes confused. "You'd never hurt me."
Chan firmly shakes his head. "Never," he promises. "I'm sorry I got mad."
Minho straddles his lap, burying his face in Chan's shoulder. He wraps his arms around his neck and sniffles softly. "No, I'm sorry for disappearing," he says shakily.
Chan hugs him tight, burying his face in his hair and closing his eyes. He gently runs his hand over his back before fondling his head. "Does it still hurt?" he asks, and Minho shakes his head.
You watch them with a gentle smile, knowing how much they mean to each other. Minho pulls back after a while, pressing their foreheads together with a weak laugh. "I'm sorry, Channie love, I know I worried you."
"Stop that now," he says gently, rubbing his sides soothingly. "I know you didn't mean to."
"Thank you for always trying to keep me safe," he tells him, cupping his face.
"Of course," your boyfriend whispers.
Minho wraps him back into his arms and closes his eyes for a moment before speaking up. "I just wanted to take a walk this morning, but then he bombarded me with messages, having another fake account. I got upset, turned my phone off, and kept on walking around aimlessly for hours. I completely forgot the time."
"That's okay, Min, it happens," you assure him, sitting down next to them.
Minho flashes you a weak smile and squeezes your hand gently. "I should've told you guys. I wasn't thinking."
"Happens," Chan nods and soothingly rubs his thighs.
Minho meets his eyes again and remains silent for a while, sinking deeper into that warm feeling of comfort and safety. "I actually bought dinner on the way back."
You giggle softly and pat his shoulder. "That's sweet."
"And uhm…I saw something that seemed fitting for the two of you," he says, ears burning up a little as he climbs off Chan's lap. Minho grabs the smaller bag and takes out two small boxes, handing the longer one to you.
Chan opens his and takes out a beautiful silver bracelet with a small pendant in the middle. There's a heart-shaped hole in the pendant, and opening your box, you know why: the heart's attached to a necklace. "Oh my God, that's so cute," you beam at him. Chan helps you put it on, and Minho watches you with a soft smile. "Where's yours?" you ask and Minho frowns softly.
"I-uhm…I shouldn't-," he shakes his head, swallowing softly at your confused expressions.
"Kitten, you're a part of us," Chan says softly and Minho's eyes brim with tears again.
"But-," he starts out weakly.
"We love you. This is your home, angel," you tell him and smile as Chan caresses his cheek and Minho instinctively leans into it.
"We'll go back there tomorrow and find something fitting for you," Chan suggests.
A hot tear falls down Minho's cheek as he watches the two of you amazed. "Okay," he whispers and closes his eyes as Chan plants a soft kiss on his hair. He giggles softly as you kiss the tip of his nose and smiles at the two of you through his tears. "I love you two so much."

Verivery reacts to your father finally accepting them!
Tumblr media
Your father’s denial to accept your relationship/engagement with him had definitely been surprising, shocking to say the least. He had always treated you well, never had you ever been dissapointed by your boyfriend and since you only spoke good things about him, you had expected your family to welcome him as quickly as you fell in love with him.
Your father refused to accept him, claiming that his fame would get between the two of you one day. It wasn’t until he finally realized that your boyfriend cared more about you than his own popularity that he finally decided to accept both your wills to stay together.
Tumblr media
“You need to go to the studio Dongheon, you can’t just vanish from the group like that, I’ll be alright” You muttered looking down at him, laying on the uncomfortable hospital bed as the nurse changed some of your IVs.
The doctor said there was nothing wrong with you, stress or your previous fatigue might have been what made you pass out yesterday morning but your boyfriend refused to move from your side even when the problem could be easily solve with some good sleep and warm food. Dongheon had spent the entire night sitting on that uncomfortable chair, holding onto your hand and refusing to go back home to get some rest.
“My parents are here, why don’t you go home and get some rest?” You asked running your fingers through his fluffy hair when your dad walked inside the room. Dongheon grumbled something that you didn’t manage to understand as he shook his head, still with his forehead pressed against your mattress, his hand holding onto yours. “Dongheon?” You asked quietly, slightly worried for him.
“Come on son” Your dad suddenly said, surprising the both of you as he patted Dongheon’s back “I’ll give you a ride home so you can take a shower and eat something” Your mom smiled at you, sitting besides you “(Y/N) won’t be alone, how are you supposed to take care of her looking like that?”
Although your father was still trying to play the strict dad role, his previous words had given away the fact that he might be starting to accept Dongheon into your family.
Tumblr media
Hoyoung was sitting behind you on the couch, legs opened so you could sit in between them as he gently brushed your hair to get rid of the knots that had formed while you had been sleeping. You weren’t one to get sick easily but the few times you did, it made you feel horrible and weak enough to not be able to step out of bed.
Good thing Hoyoung had been doing his best to spend as much time as possible with you, he had even been staying at night despite his busy and early schedule.
“There you go” He whispered gently, resting his chin on your shoulder as he gently hugged you, bringing your back closer to his chest “Feel better after that shower?” He asked sweetly, leaning closer to land a kiss on your cheek.
“Way better” You whispered, taking in a deep breath as you relaxed against his body “You shouldn’t get so close though, I’m still sick babe”
“I don’t care, you’re sick and need cuddles” Hoyoung said holding you a bit tighter, pressing another kiss on your cheek “I’m supposed to take care of you because I’m-”
The sound of someone clearing their throat made the two of you jump a little, panick settled in your body when you found your father standing in the doorway, watching the two of you quietly.
“Dad-”
“Hoyoung!” He said with a smile, greeting your boyfriend with a certain happiness that hadn’t been there the first time they met “Thank you for taking care of her, I really appreciate that”
Tumblr media
“And the plane goes fuuuu...Open your mouth!”
You couldn’t help but laugh at Minchan’s method to make you eat something, he had arrived to the hospital a couple of hours ago from practice and despite him looking incredibly tired and sleepy he hadn’t stopped pampering you with his attention since he walked through the door.
“Stop laughing, you’re supposed to be eating” He whined smiling, clearly amused by the situation too. “Babe!” He scolded when you only laughed harder, leaning back against the stiff bed.
“The plane goes fuuuu...” You repeated breathlessly, clapping as you couldn't stop laughing "I'm sorry" You apologized, reaching up to wipe a tear away, keeping your eyes on him "It was too unexpected but so funny"
"It's nice to see you smile like that again" The sound of your father's voice made Minchan a bit tense, he cleared his throat and sat up straighter, trying to give him a good impression "Thanks for keeping an eye on her, son" He said reaching out to pat Minchan's back. "Good to know there's somebody else keeping an eye on her"
"Dad" You whined, embarrased at his words.
Although to be honest, Minchan couldn't be happier at this moment. He finally felt accepted by your father and that's the best thing that could have ever happened to him.
Tumblr media
"What happened!? Are you okay!?" You father rushed into the emergency waiting room, breathless, eyes going from you to Gyehyeon and then back to you nervously "How did it even happened?"
"We were just standing on the sidewalk, I was talking with a friend and this guy that was cycling didn't see me" You started explaining, holding your boyfriend's hand gently, squeezing it once as you rubbed the back of it with your thumb "Gyehyeon just pushed me out of the way and took the whole impact" Feeling bad for him, yoy rested your head on his shoulder softly, hoping you could just take his pain away.
Gyehyeon smiled softly, kissing your head "I'm alright, it wasn't your fault" He muttered against your hair, feeling slightly sore.
"Thank you" You father said looking at him sincerely, sitting down besides him as he also awaited for the doctor to come with the results of the tests they had ran on your boyfriend "For keeping her safe"
"No need to thank me" He replied feeling slightly shy but also happy because for once, he seemed to be getting on your dad's good side "I will always keep her safe" Gyehyeon smiled at him before pulling your hand up to kiss your knuckles.
Tumblr media
Yeonho sighed relieved when you managed to fall asleep as soon as your temperature decreased a little. With slow and gentle movements, he changed the wet cloth on your forehead right before the doorbell rang.
Thinking it would be one of the guys, Yeonho opened it without any hesitation, his smile instantly twitching when instead of one of his friends, the sight of your father welcomed him.
"Oh hi" He said bowing politely, stepping aside to let him into the apartment "Your daughter just fell asleep, she didn't get much rest last night"
"Thanks for taking care of her Yeonho" He said sincerely, resting his hand on Yeonho's shoulder. The sympathetic look in his eyes was totally new, your boyfriend was used to cold glares and mistrust "I really appreciate it"
"It's alright, I...You don't really need to-"
"Why don't you get some rest too? You look exhausted and definitely deserve it, I'll keep an eye on her" Yeonho sighed relieved, nodding quietly but happily.
He didn't know why or how, but your father seemed to finally like him.
Tumblr media
"If you hadn't been there we might have lost her"
Yongseung shook his head quietly, still holding onto your hand gently as you slept. He refused to let you go, you've suffered a pretty strong allergic reaction to something the two of you had been eating and if Yongseung hadn't realized it while you were cuddling with him, it might had been too late when you arrived to the hospital.
"It's alright, we were just lucky" Yongseung said quietly, kissing your hand as your father patted his back.
"You saved my daughter today, I really appreciate that and I will never forget what you did” Your father muttered, squeezing his shoulder appreciatively “Thank you son”
Yongseung nodded quietly with a small smile on his lips, your father finally accepted him, he couldn’t ask for anything else.
Tumblr media
“Won’t you get in trouble for that?”
Your father’s question made the two of you sigh softly, of course being slightly rude to some fans would get Kangmin in trouble but it had been justly done because they had been harassing the two of you for your entire date, following and taking pictures when he had kindly asked them not to for a couple of times.
“I’ll deal with it” Kangmin said quietly, leaning back against the passenger’s seat of your dad’s vehicle, running his fingers through his hair “I asked them to not take picture of us, I don’t mind it but I know she doesn’t enjoy it” He explained referring to you “That’s why I was so strict about it”
Your father nodded quietly, looking at your boyfriend when he stopped at a red light “It’s okay, you really did nothing wrong” He muttered, slightly surprising the two of you “You were just taking care of your girlfriend and I really appreciate it Kangmin” Your boyfriend smiled shyly at his words, reaching up to scratch the back part of his neck “It shows you’re a trust worthy person”

what did you think of Minchan's Q & A? personally i teared up a little because i know exactly how he felt :( and his reply to the question about how they deal with their feelings was concerning, seemed like he's never really gotten the help he needed
hi anon :0 ! hmm i have a lot of thoughts >.< honestly,,, (i'll put it all under the cut bc of tw mentions)
i have a lot of thoughts about all their q&a's actually ... but i totally get you :(( it was difficult for me to read through it myself bc i'm familiar with (my own) anxiety and depression ;;;; mental health issues present differently in each person but the feelings he was describing are smth we can all probably understand;;;; to be honest ... i'm ?? not happy per say with the way they went about this in context... i know vrvr have been very open about 'facing their true selves' bc that's their whole concept, but (and this may not be anyone's intention) but utilizing someone's personal mental health struggles in a music video teaser drop is not exactly how i wish they would go about it .... in my opinion at least.... at the very least i hope he shared with us his struggles and how he's feeling not bc he was told to but bc he felt that's what he wanted to do,,,
reading through it :(( hhhh there are no easy cures or solutions for mental health issues we all know this and it may be cultural ? but for the longest time mental health has had a huge stigma over it ... i know personally in my asian household no one would understand let alone even believe me when i talk about this kind of stuff so i can only imagine how difficult it is to get proper treatment... we have to acknowledge that at least in many asian countries mental health is a new and evolving issue ;;;;; so it is really hard to say if minchan is getting the proper help i know it definitely may not seem like it but all we can do is support him and root for him ! bc he's human and it's his business ;;;; as fans we can only be supportive but not pry where we're not allowed ;;; i understand your worries ;;;;; i feel very similarly i think and i wish we could do more for him ! and for all of them ;;;;; their jobs are high stress and they work really hard ;;; but once again i think at best ;;;; having them share a bit of their struggles is already a lot and supporting them is the best we can do for them !

we like a thunder  // ju yeonho
Tumblr media
☝️✌️ pairing:: ju yeonho  x reader ☝️✌️ genre:: fluff, a little bit of angst ☝️✌️ summary:: as their practice of thunder was shown to you even before a comeback was announced, you realized that your boyfriend yeonho isn’t the innocent boy you made him out to be.
——————————————————————————
yeonho wasn’t the type to do sexy dances. he always did soft and cheery songs. i remember that day so clearly, when i walked into the practice room to visit my boyfriend yeonho. i knew they were having a comeback soon but the only song that i had heard and watched the dance to was beautiful-x.
“come on minchan, i told you a thousand times. the angle is completely wrong.” i heard dongheon scream from outside the practice room. i laughed knocking on the door taking a deep breath because i didn’t want to screamed at either.
“y/n get your ass in here and calm me down.” he screamed at the door and i ran in looking to the back of the practice room where dongheon was literally blowing steam out of his ears. i giggled running over to him throwing my arms around his shoulders. he put his arms around my waist sighing into my shoulder.
i laughed pulling away from dongheon when he had calmed down. i turned to face the boys who were all panting at how much practice he was putting in all of them. i held out my arms which then yeonho came running into.
“oh my gosh wait you’re so sweaty- it’s fine whatever. i missed you.” i pushed him off me then grabbed his hand pulling him back into the hug. i cringed at how sweaty he was but he was still cute. i waved to the other boys and went to sit down at the mini table they had at the back of the room.
“okay boys, let’s make a good run for y/n okay? minchan, angles.” he pointed at minchan and he rolled his eyes mocking dongheon. he hit the back of minchan’s head, before starting the song.
this song, was the sexiest thing i had ever seen verivery do. i didn’t mind, but yeonho? pure shock. what did i do in my past life to deserve yeonho doing this? that one hip thrust in the chorus. how his eyes were so sharp, he was so charismatic. i’m pretty sure my face was bright red in the end. when the song ended. i stood up, covering my cheeks running towards dongheon’s “secret room”.
“y/n what’s wrong?” they all ran to the door knocking on the door. i held up a mirror to my face and i was bright red. i was blushing redder than gyeheon’s hair.
“babe what happened?” yeonho knocked on the door again and i took a deep breath and opened the door to pull yeonho in. did i drag someone else in? no. i knew which one my boyfriend was. i was like hoyoung, with who’s who just by touching hands.
“you didn’t tell me this was going to be a sexy dance!” i pouted because i didn’t want to sound like a brat. he’s my boyfriend and yeah i guess i could get mad at him a little bit but not to the point where i sound like a brat.
“i- babe. look at me. it’s not a sexy dance.” he shook his head laughing putting his arms around my waist. my jaw dropped open then scoffed.
“how is it no-” i pursed my lips together shaking my head.
“babe it’s not. i mean you do sexy girl group dances all the time. i don’t complain.” he pouted kissing my forehead, then my nose, then pecked my lips. i shook my head again in disbelief. that was different. right?
“did you just- did you just turn this on me?” i scoffed playfully because if i didn’t say anything, then he would be sad because i’m freaking out at him.
“yes.”

a whole new world
Tumblr media
Take a delicate prince who prefers books over physical training and a shameless criminal who has a sharp tongue and cheeky remarks. Surely, their paths shouldn’t have crossed, but they had done so nevertheless.
♦ Characters: prince!Minchan x criminal!Sookyung (OC)
♦ Genre: reversed Aladdin AU, kingdom AU, fluff, comedy, a bit of action
♦ Words: 3.6k
♦ Warning: mention of a minor character’s death in the past
♦ A/N: Inspired by the boys’ Gogobebe performance on Road To Kingdom. I’m a huge fan of Aladdin, so of course I had to write an Aladdin AU after that performance. *-* Click here to be added to the TAGLIST and to let me know about your fic preferences.
Prince Minchan wasn’t an ordinary prince.
Or in fact, maybe when it came to his appearance, he was actually prince-like. He was slender, tall and broad-shouldered, thus he definitely looked like someone who could protect a whole kingdom. He had fluffy, slightly curly locks that seemed like shades of the fresh cinnamon; somewhere in between deep brown and light pecan. He had mature and defined features, his sharp jawline looked like as if it had been crafted by some kind of god. His mellow lips were ever so scarcely pulled into a smile, or maybe it was just that average people didn’t have the chance to see his sunrise-like smile very often alongside his whole appearance in fact.
Prince Minchan was an ordinary prince in the sense that he had been trained to serve with the army, he had been trained to become the next sultan as he had been the older out of the two heirs with his little brother Gyehyeon being two years younger than him. He had been taught manners, ethics, mathematics, physics and history. He had been taught well how to conduct a debate, how to add to arguments in a polite yet firm way, how to come up with strategies, how to read a map and how to lead a group of people if needed.
However, he wasn’t ordinary in the sense that he didn’t yearn for all these; the fame, the power, the perks of being of royal blood. He wasn’t interested in wars and fights, neither mathematics or history. He wasn’t fond of debates and arguments, he rather preferred solace and quiet afternoons. He preferred inks tinting the parchment paper instead of war threats sent in the kingdom’s way, he preferred sitting in the blooming garden instead of practicing out on the field and he would have preferred to live his life as a mere merchant instead of a prince.
But after all, he hadn’t chosen his own fate. His fate had chosen him. Or so he had thought so before he met Sookyung.
Sookyung wasn’t an ordinary girl - in any sense.
She had boyishly short hair, locks as dark as the canvas of the sky above the kingdom at midnight, eyes as deep as the Pacific Ocean and gaze as searing as the hottest of fire. She was taller than the average female, loose clothes covering her feminine curves and face usually covered by a hood. She was a quick runner, an excellent debater and an even better criminal, hence the hood over her head. It wasn’t that she had been sentenced to death, but let’s just say she was usually not welcomed in places, thus she didn’t even stay at the same kingdom for longer than a few weeks.
There was also something slightly odd about her; no matter her crimes and her cheeky and fierce behaviour, she had a soft spot for people in need - just like she had been one of them before she had chosen this path. Though as an orphan, kicked onto the streets as a mere child, what more could she have done?
No wonder she halted in her steps when she caught sight of an unusual scene at the market - the sandy road dotted with multiple stalls smelling of fresh books, baked goods, magnificent herbs, spicy flavours and people selling many colourful carpets and the finest of silk. There was a boy at a book stall, holding a book in his hands, the merchant yelling at him to pay for it and the boy insisting that he had money, just not right now.
Sookyung narrowed her eyebrows at the sight because he did look like someone who would have money; from the way he dressed to the way he formed words, he seemed like a rather noble young man. Though she didn’t know about people in such high ranks, especially not here in the Kingdom of the Setting Sun. She had been here for only a week.
Nevertheless, she strode to the stall, reached for a few coins in her pocket and gave it to the merchant who smiled through his hollow teeth. Merchants like him didn’t care about people until they got their money, so she wasn’t surprised that he didn’t ask questions. Unlike the fine-looking young man.
“Thank you,” the boy whispered in awe, eyes searching for hers, but she purposefully didn’t look into them.
“Don’t thank me.” She waved him off, knowing that she didn’t do anything good, yet before they could part ways, the merchant realized that she had given him fake coins and instead of her, he grabbed onto the young boy.
Sookyung grabbed the merchant by his shoulder and pushed him backwards, and the action itself and the power she used was enough for him to take a few steps back and for her to grab the boy by his wrist and start dragging him with her.
Despite the short time she had spent in the kingdom, she knew her way around, especially back to her little brick house that she had found abandoned when she had come to the kingdom. They made their ways through narrow corridors, outdoor stalls and busy market places, turning corners and looking back to see if the man was following them, but based on her quick examination regarding his physique, Sookyung had a feeling that he didn’t stand a chance.
Yet, they could only be sure about that when they arrived at her little brick house that was seemingly out of reach and run down enough for people not to bother her while she was staying there. From the outside, it looked like no one had lived there because the empty door frames were covered by thick curtains, thus not even light  from the inside could be seen.
“So what’s your deal? You don’t look like you belong here,” Sookyung remarked as she popped down onto a cushion that might have seemed too ordinary for someone who walked around in such high quality clothes, but the boy seemed to be more shocked by her realization than the sight around him.
His eyes widened as if he had been an animal caught in a trap, his Adam’s nipple anxiously moving up and down, lips slightly trembling.
“I-I...” He stuttered, yet seeing his nervous state, she rather waved him off.
“You know what? Nevermind. You’re clearly running away from something, and you’re clearly naive for trusting me,” she pointed out honestly, yet shrugged her shoulders as if she hadn’t cared about him. Though she had to admit that there was something captivative about his coffee-bean like eyes, something that she had also seen in her own orbs: the yearn for freedom.
“Fancy some tea?” Sookyung popped the question ever so casually as she rose from the cushion and walked closer to the part of the room she liked to call the kitchen. It was barely a table and a few other equipments but those were already enough for making tea and preparing some bread with cheese or a few chocolate-covered dates. All stolen, of course.
“Well, yes, actually.” The boy nodded, yet upon seeing her reaching for the tea cup, he corrected himself. “I meant, the running away part,”
“So you do admit that you’re naive?” She quirked an eyebrow in question, amusement tinting her lips. She decided to remove her hood at this point, there was no point in hiding herself from someone who looked so clueless and out of place. Despite his seemingly wealthy background, he looked like he wouldn’t be able to hurt a single soul.
The boy gave her a pointed look that seemed opposite of every action of his from before. He seemed much more firm than a minute ago, and she had a feeling that he had been taught for it, too. The way he corrected his posture and the way he held his chin up high; it was something that radiated superiority.
“I don’t consider myself naive. I am currently trying to read your body language to analyse your intentions,” he explained sternly, yet she couldn’t help a cheeky smile from appearing on her lips.
“And what does my body language say?”
No matter how provocative she tried to seem, the boy was flustered for only a fraction of a second. After that, he regained his composure and kept the eye-contact, making sure that she knew that he wasn’t one to have such ulterior intentions.
“Nothing like that.” He shook his head, a few of his cinnamonish locks falling into his coffee eyes. He was sure a sight to behold, and his behaviour was just the cherry on top.
“You’re cute,” she said shamelessly, deciding to ignore the slightly dumbfounded expression on his face. “It’s not like I’m killing boys in my free time, so relax, feel yourself at home,” she declared before he could get totally scared and might run away as if he had lost it. Though he was probably wondering around anyway, seeing how he stayed with her until this time and didn’t leave the moment they arrived at her little house. Or maybe he was merely too curious.
At first, the boy seemed reluctant to stay, yet he seemed reluctant to go either. It was a pretty interesting sight, so while he was trying to make up his mind, she busied herself preparing the tea and was surprised to find him actually staying in the end. She didn’t mind though.
The boy was actually an interesting company because it could be seen and could be heard that he had been taught well and he had read enough to know about topics she had absolutely no knowledge on. He was actually much more outspoken than he had seemed at first, and no matter how hard she tried to focus on what he was saying, her eyes still lingered on the shade of his eyes and the curliness of his locks. He seemed too much of a painting rather than a real human being, but actually seeing moles and circles under his eyes made her more reassured. At least, he had such flaws that made him humane.
She wouldn’t have thought that they would be able to have such an enjoyable conversation but apparently they did so, and even though he didn’t confess who he was, she could figure out that he had been travelling a lot because his family was wealthy and that he read a lot and that he was trained a lot. He could have been a prince or the next Sultan for all she had cared because what mattered to her was the fact that they could talk about freedom and breaking stigmas, understanding and empathy towards others and a lot more. Until, of course, he needed to leave.
“To where you’re running from?” She quirked an eyebrow in question, but didn’t pressure him to talk about something he didn’t want to. “Well, good luck!” Sookyung said in the end with a half-smile, watching as the boy forced himself to stand up and directed a final look in her direction.
“Thank you,” the boy - who had introduced himself as Minchan - remarked before leaving, missing out on her shaking her head and smiling cheekily to herself. What a boy he was! How flustered he had gotten when she had called him cute! She would probably never forget him even if they didn’t meet again. Though she hoped that they would.
Prince Minchan didn’t know what hit him when his legs found their ways to the girl’s house. As someone who needed to remember maps and strategies, his memory was particularly good and he knew the way around the kingdom anyway, although it had been some time since he could have left the palace for a longer period of time.
After the Sultana had died, the Sultan had wanted to make sure that he kept the boys as safe as possible, thus sneaking out was strictly prohibited for a while. Minchan had spent most of his childhood and teenage years wondering what it could be like outside, what a market could smell of, how hot the sand could feel under his feet when there was nothing to cover him from above and what it would be like to watch the sunset from somewhere else other than the terrace of the palace.
It had been only after his father had assumed that the princes were trained enough to take care of themselves properly that he let the boys leave the palace with the requirement of them letting him and the palace guards know that they would be going outside. Prince Minchan had left the palace multiple times ever since, mostly to buy new books for himself, yet sometimes - just like last time - he didn’t have enough money on himself and he didn’t want to cheat his way out of a payment just because he was a prince. People didn’t know how he looked anyway since he hadn’t been able to leave the palace for so long and they could have only seen him during ceremonies but those were kept inside of the palace anyway and only royal families were invited.
Yet, there was something about the girl’s mind-set and way of speaking that drove him in. It felt as if someone could have understood him which was surprising given their different backgrounds and the mere fact that sometimes he felt like no one understood him.
His little brother had also been very different from him; while Minchan was tender, soft-hearted, more of a sophisticated person rather than a skilled fighter, Gyehyeon was fierce, determined and an excellent swordsman and runner. It seemed like he had gotten the power and strength from their father and Minchan had gotten the softness and intellect from their mother. Which would have worked out just fine if the Sultan hadn’t insisted on Minchan being the Crown Prince just because he was the oldest.
Small wonder it felt nice to talk to someone who seemingly didn’t know who he was and what burden he carried. He craved the same kind of understanding again, hence his visit at the seemingly empty house. He looked around for a bit, suspecting that Sookyung might have gone somewhere else already as she had shared with him that she had been travelling ever since she had left the kingdom she had been from. She didn’t want the place to remind her of her own bitter memories, of being abandoned and of being left alone and tossed away at such a young age.
However, in the next moment, someone poked him in the chest, and Minchan was so surprised to find the girl beside him once he turned his head that he almost let out a squeal. Almost.
“Miss me already?” Sookyung chuckled, seeing his startled expression, her eyebrows rising up and down in a slightly teasing manner.
The prince needed a few seconds to gather his thoughts and pull himself together enough to answer her playful question. No matter her cheerful behaviour, he didn’t want to play along with her this time, thus he decided to be honest.
“Missed talking to you, actually. You seemed like you understand me,” he admitted as he scratched the back of his neck sheepishly, the sudden change in the atmosphere making him fear her reaction. He shouldn’t have been afraid though; the girl’s features immediately softened and instead of a cocky smile, it was replaced by a bittersweet one.
“Had a rough day?” She inquired quietly, her eyes boring into his own ones. Even if she had been practically a criminal, he knew her reasons and her personality meant so much more to him than any crime could. It’s not like she had seriously hurt anyway, she just needed to get by somehow.
He nodded to her question, his lips pulling into a grimace. The girl got the message just by this action of his and pointed in the direction of her colourful cushion.
“Well, then, have a seat. I’ll get you your favourite tea,” she suggested, making her way to the table, yet Minchan was taken aback by her words almost immediately. While it was true that they had talked about his favourite kind of tea the last time they had met, he wouldn’t have thought that she would do as much as to buy his favourite tea.
“Did you purchase my favourite tea?”
“Well, I didn’t actually purchase it because it’s way too expensive, but I had a feeling you would come back,” she explained with that adventurous glint in her carob eyes and Minchan couldn’t help but let his lips curl upwards. “I like that smile better. Your gloomy face is way too ugly,” she remarked shamelessly, and he was sure that it was to lift up his mood, thus he wasn’t angry at her. Not like he could be angry at her. After all, she had helped him a lot more than he could have asked for and this day prove him right yet again.
Talking to Sookyung was always full of surprises; not just because of the way she could always throw retorts in his way but also because of her words. She was full of twists and turns just like her whole life, and talking to her was actually a lot more fascinating than a lot of books he had ever read. Maybe she wasn’t educated, but she was sure knowledgeable enough when it came to life itself and she had a lot more experiences than others could have had during their whole life.
There was also that kind of undefeatable understanding in her that Minchan prominently appreciated because no matter the people around him, it seemed like a girl like her was the only one who was willing to listen to his deepest and most sincere concerns and take them seriously. Even though she said that she wasn’t good at such advices because she didn’t know his whole situation, her reassurance was enough, not to mention the fact that she was willing to listen to him.
Tea cup empty, the scenery darkening around them, the prince had to realize that no matter how much he wanted to clear his head, he needed to go back to the palace to not cause a ruckus.
Yet, before he did so, he didn’t hesitate to thank the girl who waved her off as always - but this time, it was with a knowing smile, the best kind in his opinion.
Times had passed and Minchan found himself going back to Sookyung day by day, and the more they talked, the closer he felt to her. Eventually, she had realized that he must have been one of the princes from the kingdom because she had heard enough rumours and she had put together the pieces. It hadn’t meant that she had treated him any differently, it was as if this tiny fact hadn’t even mattered to her that much. She had kept teasing him, calling him by playful names, giving him those stares and wiggling her eyebrows. She had been as shameless as she could have been, but in the best possible way.
Yet, knowing her situation, he shouldn’t have been surprised, yet he still was when she announced that she would move to another kingdom.
“I really wish I could go with you,” Minchan confessed with a dreamy expression, his curly locks falling into his eyes. Maybe it wasn’t even just the other kingdom he craved but maybe it was the girl’s presence too that he was willing to run away for. Or that cheeky smile. Or those childish glints and occasional fiery moments. Or her way of making his favourite tea a bit bitter but still sweet. Or her characteristic, deep laughter. Or her boyishly short locks. Or her determination.
“You know, you can always come when you’re ready,” she concluded with yet another knowing smile of hers, and he really wished he could have been as hopeful as her. He didn’t know when or if he could ever leave the palace and live the life he wanted, but seeing her example, he knew that a new chance and a new life was always possible.
“I’ll come find you then,” Minchan said firmly, earning a gentle smile from the girl who looked him into the eyes for long, unbreakable seconds, the smile not wavering from her lips.
That was the first time he realized that she might have enjoyed their encounters and conversations as much as he had done so; she might have felt the same way towards him as he had done towards her; she might have had that same electronic jolt in her body as he had had whenever their hands had accidentally touched; she might have felt like she had found a home in his presence rather than just a conversational partner.
“I can’t wait,” Sookyung remarked cheekily, her lips turning upwards into a smile before she shortened the distance between the two of them and pecked a soft kiss onto his cheeks, something that he kept remembering back to until he set out on his journey of self-exploration a few months later and until he set out on the journey of finding her.
He used to dismiss ideas such as fate and destiny, yet he couldn’t deny that the chances of them ever meeting had always been very slim, yet they had still ended up getting to know each other and then meeting again months later at a book stall - just like they had met for the first time. What had it been if not destiny? Maybe months had to pass and kingdoms had to be visited but they still ended up like how they had started - just a bit more free and a bit happier this time.
