everyone loves the parallels going on with isaac braiding jeannemary’s hair and colum braiding silas’s hair in gtn, and then gideon tying back harrow’s hair in htn, but when we consider that:
in chapter 17 of gtn, when everyone is down in the labs attempting to call back the ghosts of abigail and magnus, coronabeth “only drew close to the work to pull Ianthe’s hair away from her face” and then
once abigail and magnus’s bodies are brought upstairs in the next chapter, ianthe is seen with “pallid hair falling in two smooth braids down to bloodless shoulders” which is followed up by
coronabeth saying ianthe “can’t hold her arms up long enough to braid her hair” prior to her interrupted swordfight with gideon in chapter 29
...i think we can pretty safely add the tridentarii to our list of cavalier/necromancer pairs doing each other’s hair

saw a video of a middle school percussion class playing crazy train on the xylophones which absolutely rules, but someone in the comments was saying “this is what kids should be learning in school instead of gender.” sir have you SEEN the metal stars of 70s and 80s?? you could probably learn more about gender nonconformity and drag from glam rock and heavy metal bands than you would in a middle school history class that dedicates half a lecture to stonewall or a middle school health class that dedicates half a lecture to gender and sexuality. i certainly know i did

i need a german style word for the emotion i personally get when someone who presents themselves as someone with discerning taste in contrast to Various So And Sos Over There stans something deeply unserious and doesn’t catch that it’s messing with their brand. this is a post about how i can’t stop thinking about how sean and amanda the ringer big picture podcast think that the social network is the best movie of the 2010s - not their personal favorite movie of the 2010s but the best one. better than all the other movies. no other did as good a job at movieing as the social network - and specifically how i cannot believe amanda is so mad about the emily blunt role in oppenheimer but apparently gives a pass to TSN casting brenda song as the most Bitches Be Crazy character of all time
