Summary: your life with your best friend has been easy going and comfortable. the routine you two have has made you content in life. your usual late night talk goes a different direction when yejun asks you a question.

A/N: hello! this was a request I got in my box a while ago and finally got out of my writers block enough to be able to try and clear it out! this is just a little yejun blurb I thought of and decided to write out. it’s not proofread so if there are mistakes let me know. my requests are open! happy reading ^^

Things had been comfortable for a while. There weren’t many parts of your routine that you didn’t find enjoyable. Sure work could be a drag at times, but you always found a little bit of meaning in what you did most days. What you did before and after work was what made you prepare and forget about the more stressful parts. There was always a cup of warm tea or coffee that would get you ready for the day ahead. Stretching your body out so you can be ready for whatever comes at you. Once you were home, there was the lovely comfort of your place and the familiar smells of your air sensor spraying your favorite scent. There also usually was a lovely mop of curly brown hair waiting for you on your couch.

Yejun had been a best friend of yours for years. You had met him through your classmate, his older sister, when you had done a group project one time and ended up becoming closer to him than her. He would start asking you for help with homework instead of her because she was “annoying” but you figured it out pretty quickly because he enjoyed your company. You two understood each other and what made your atmosphere comfortable. So you had been there for him when he had auditioned for E Ent. and got in. You were there for him when he was put on a diet but the staff didn’t realize he has a fast metabolism so you would buy him snacks and eat them together whenever you got together. He was there for you when you joined university and when you graduated.

Today was no different when you walk in the door and see him lying on the couch with some fried chip food in his hand, watching your TV. “Well good evening to you.”

“Hello there, took you long enough.” He turns his head to you slightly, stuffing his mouth. “Thought I would need to call the police and report you missing.”

“I’m only ten minutes late than when I usually get home.” You huff, kicking your shoes off and putting your coat on the hook. “It’s Friday, it’s going to be busy.”

“Well now we can cook dinner.” He says, shutting off the TV and getting up from his spot.

“We? You mean I cook and you keep me company?” You laugh at his joke, not minding that you cook because he always cleans.

“If that’s how you want to put it.” He shrugs, walking into the kitchen to find something to make.

You change into your comfortable clothes and go back into the same routine as you have before. You make dinner, talk about your day while you eat, clean up, and move onto your balcony to look at the little park that’s in the middle of your complex. Now that it’s getting chilly, you pass him the hoodie he stashes at your place while getting cozy in your own blanket. There’s someone who is jogging down the concrete path. Another person is walking their dog with a little coat on. It’s serene and peaceful and there’s no need to force conversation between you two.

“The boys keep asking about you.” He mentions.

You chuckle and glance at him. “Oh really? It has been a while since we hung out. Hasn’t been since Dark Dream promotions ended, right?”

“With everyone, yeah. So maybe I have to bring you around soon so they stop pestering me.” He smirks, knowing his friends adore you.

“I’m surprised that they pester you. You are their baby after all.” You joke.

“You pester me.”

“You’re not my baby.”

“Wow, wow, okay now I’m hurt.” He feigns his pain, clutching his chest.

“What, do you want to be my baby?” You lean back in your seat and stare at him, feeling how different it is to call him “baby” and not in a teasing way.

“Don’t make it weird.” He waves you off and he hides his face from you. “I can’t have you insinuating we should date too.”

A slight wave of shock comes over you, realizing what he means. “Wait, your bandmates want us to date? That’s suspicious.”

“I know, right?” He exclaims, his brown eyes locking on the small fountain in the center of the park. “They think because I talk about you, I have a crush on you.”

“Well, how do you talk about me?” You wonder, wanting to know what he says. “It has to be how you talk about me that gives them that idea.”

“Nothing too out of the ordinary.” He shrugs, not getting what his friends mean. “I will update them about you, make sure that I make it to your place for dinner twice a week whenever I don’t have schedules, I pay you back for whatever you feed me.”

Trying to look at it objectively, that does sound like things someone would do for their crush. Again, a lot of things that you two do seem like things a couple would do now that you’re thinking about it. “I can see it.”

“Not you too!” He groans, going back to hiding his face.

“Now wait, let me make my case.” You start, trying to keep him from shutting you out. “You’re an introvert, you’ve got maybe one or two other friends besides me that you hang out with but you come to see me the most. So it makes sense that the one person you hang out with the most besides them looks like a romantic interest.”

He’s quiet for a moment, then lets out a sigh. “I guess I can understand it now.”

“It’s not a bad thing, it just shows how close we are.” Your chest burns lightly, feeling a small sense of awkwardness set in. Sure, you and Yejun still have awkward moments; neither of you two talk about your feelings all too often unless they’re overwhelming and you need each other. So talking about romance with each other is foreign.

“Could you even see us dating?”

The question shocks you a lot, wondering where this is now coming from. Something stirs in your gut, a former feeling you’ve had in the past. You shrug, not really knowing how to answer it. “I mean, knowing us, it wouldn’t be that much more different than how we are now.”

“How so?” He sounds curious now, wanting to pick apart your words.

“I don’t know, like, we already put our full trust in each other, care about each other, have dinner, talk about our lives and what we want to do with each other in mind. I’m the only person you do skinship with. If you think about it, the only thing that is missing is feeling attracted to each other.”

He goes back to being quiet which isn’t abnormal. If he has his answer, he doesn’t have to probe further. You two go back to your silence for a while before he asks, “Would you want to date?”

“Do you want to date?”

“I asked you first.”

You chuckle, taking a glance at him. His face is serious. You can see underneath the curls on his head that his eyes are focused on you. “I’ve thought about it before. Back when you had just joined E’last, we both started to find ourselves more and grow with each other. I felt special to be part of that with you. I thought about what it would be like to continue to do that.”

Yejun takes in your words, watching you open up little by little to him. “And now?”

“I’ve found comfort where we are.” You smile at him, but see him still be expressionless. “If we want to try dating, I’d be willing to put as much effort into it as you are. Like I said, it might not be as different as we are now. If not then, there’s nothing lost. We can continue one as we are.”

He nods slightly, his eyes glittering in the moonlight. “And if we try?”

Your smile stays on your face as you reach your hand out to him. He slowly takes it and laces your fingers together. Your chest grows warm again, feeling him be vulnerable too. “We can try at your pace. If it works, then it works. If it doesn’t, then we can at least say we tried. Would you want to date?”

“It’s been on my mind recently, but I didn't really know how to bring it up.” He mentions, giving your hand a light squeeze. “So, yeah, that’s kind of why I brought it up.”

“Well I’m glad you did.” His smile finally cracks at that statement, his big grin coming out. “I definitely wouldn’t have brought it up.”

“I wouldn’t have if Rano didn’t push me into it. He says you are, ‘too cute to miss a chance with.’” He states, feeling the awkwardness set in again.

“Wow, so you’re just making sure Rano can’t shoot his shot?”

“No, I’ve been repressing my feelings for you for five months and don’t want him to take away my chance.”

You laugh at him, pulling your chair closer to his. “I get it, I get it. But I’m surprised it only took you five months.”

“Oh you shut up.” He jests, resting his head on top of yours.

The comfortable silence comes over you two again, listening to the sounds of the outside together. Everyone seems to have retired to their homes for the night and you are no different. Eventually, you and Yejun retire inside for the night, ready to binge watch a drama series while cuddling on the couch. While this is normal for you two to do, now there’s another warm layer to add to you two.

Description: Wonhyuk likes to share everything in your relationship, but you are not always willing to do so.

"That's not your hoodie," you state, adamant about your words. You pointed aggressively to the culprit before you, their stature slacking under your intense stare.

Wonhyuk clearly knew it wasn't his hoodie that he was wearing. After all, he didn't remember buying it nor receiving it as a gift. But it fit perfectly, as you had bought quite a large size, and he wasn't willing to admit he shouldn't be wearing it.

"What's mine is yours, and yours is mine!" He happily states, moving to walk around you to the kitchen.

You followed behind him, watching as he circled back out of the room to avoid you completely. Hyuk continued to move about your shared apartment with swift movements so you couldn't catch up. He knew though, with so little room, he couldn't out run you. Not when you were so focused.

"Wonhyuk I will give you five seconds to take off my favorite hoodie or so help me-"

"What?" He teased, a large smile blooming on his face as he turned to look at you. "You couldn't hurt me with your hoodie on my back!"

Provoked by his teasing, you lunge for him, pushing him straight down onto the bed. In a moment of shock, you managed to block his waist between your thighs, arms glued to the mattress. Leaning down, you smirked at your boyfriend triumphantly.

He scoffed. "You got lucky."

You shrugged. "I don't need luck. You're weak against me." You lowered your head, sitting face to face with a gleaming eye. "Now, give me my hoodie."

This was not a rare occasion for the two of you to get into altercations. They often ended physical, with you pinning Hyuk down, as a result of his continuous jeers against you. The teasing always started on his side, regardless of who the culprit initially was.

Despite trying to be menacing, you couldn't help by smile at your lover as he gave you the best pout he could muster. When he was down, he would immediately give in and beg for your forgiveness. Especially when he was in the wrong. This hadn't been the first time Hyuk stole your hoodies, but it was the first time he stole your favorite one since you got it.

"Baby, seriously, let me borrow it. Just this once?" He pleads, shaking his shoulders cutely.

You cringed, scrunching your nose. "You can't get away this time. Admit you're wrong and take it off!"

If it was any old hoodie, you wouldn't have minded as much. If you did play around, you would have given up by now and let him borrow it. This time, though, it was your Hongjoong hoodie. It was soft, large, and the most comfortable of all. You were partially to blame for the theft, after bragging for days how much you loved it. Especially in front of your fanboy boyfriend. Now, you reap what you sow.

Hyuk leaned up quickly, pecking your lips. This caused you to lessen your grip on his wrists, allowing him to slid out from underneath you. In the next moment, he had swapped your positions and had flipped you, pinning you against the mattress instead.

"Sharing is caring," he laughs, pecking your nose as well. His hair fanned across your cheeks as he leant down to rest in the crevice of your neck, humming quietly.

You sighed. "You are an absolute pain, you know that?" You rolled your wrist, loosening it until you could reach up to pet his head. His brown strands of hair softly gliding through your fingertips.

You stayed there, feeling him relax into you. His arms began to wrap themselves around your waist, snuggling closer than before. The warmth from the hoodie seeping into your skin, his scent washing over you in a calm wave. Your other hand slipped underneath the hoodie to touch his soft hip, tracing small patterns.

Hyuk continued to him softly, nuzzling his head further into your neck a few times. "See? This isn't so bad. We can share this way."

You rolled your eyes. "You are so lucky I love you."

He pushed up on his arms, pulling away from you to look in your eyes. He watched you go silent, trailing his gaze down your face and to your lips. Then, with a cheeky smile, he stood right up and walked away, closing the bedroom door behind him.

Hyuk had won that battle, you knew it.

You sighed on the bed, rolling over to grab your phone. At first, you intended to move on from the situation and scroll through social media. However, the idea of buying another hoodie to hold over his head felt refreshing. He couldn't possibly steal both hoodies at once, and would have to give into sharing.

Once you realized the hoodie was in stock at the store, you made a literal run for it. You didn't stop to explain to him, only giving a quick wave as you threw on shoes and went out the door. The store was relatively close, allowing you to make a beeline for the merchandise.

A San hoodie would put Hyuk in a hard position, you knew it. He would then be forced to choose between his two Ateez biases, thus allowing you to have one. This hoodie was made by the same manufacturer, and even had the same size as your Hongjoong one. But the names on the back were sure to give your boyfriend a hard time.

Sure enough, when you made it back home, his mouth had dropped to the floor. He couldn't find the words to say, watching you smirk, turning in slow circled so he could see the entire hoodie on full display. Hyuk covered his mouth, shaking his head.

"You did not."

"I did," you proudly reply.

He pouts, coming closer to look at the material. He pinched it between two fingers, pulling lightly. "Does this mean I can keep Hongjoong?"

You frowned immediately. "Absolutely not."

The mischievous glint in his eyes hadn't gone unnoticed. "But you have San now. It's fine, right?"

You shook your head. "No, he's not my bias. I just bought another hoodie. Hongjoong is still my hoodie as well." You pull at the strings of his sweater, tightening the hood around his face. "Now we can both wear your biases and be happy."

He didn't seem pleased, still staring deeply at your hoodie with want. It was obvious that it was bothering him, and you felt like you finally won this round. Satisfied, you walked towards the couch to be away from his intense stare. You should have known better, though, for it was Wonhyuk you were dealing with. And the game wasn't over just yet.

"I'm telling Hongjoong your cheating on him with San."

"No!"

You were laying on your bed on your stomach

Giggling

"What are you watching Jagiya?"

"Oh just Stray Kids, have you ever noticed how handsome Changbinnie is??"

Jealousy just increased

"Ah... Changbin Sunbaenim? He's very handsome"

"And his well toned muscles!" you giggled again

Gun-il looks down at his also well toned muscles and just nods a little

He's not sad at all right now

He heard a gasp come from your room

Pairing: Yejun x (fem!) Reader

Today your group was appearing on a variety show alongside another group. At first you thought you'd be with another girl group, but as you got there you learned that it was a boy group. You thought it was unusual but weren't against the idea. You could hear the other group talking from your changing room and you thought the voices were famiiar but couldn't put your finger on who it was.

Your group and you got ready and then you headed out to the set. To your surprise you got there first. Your members and you talked together as the hosts talked between themselves. A few minutes later the other group walked on set and your eyes grew kinda big.

You then realized who the voice you heard belonged to. It was Won Hyuk's.

''E'last?'' one of your member said.

''Are we really about to compete against them? If there's any strength contest we're gonna lose for sure'' another said, to which the other members agreed.

''Let's see and wait'' your leader said.

The hosts introduced you to each other and you couldn't help but look at Yejun. He was handsome and tall. He seemed kind of cold and intimidating so you hoped he was gonna warm up as the filming would start.

The filming went on for a bit, a few challenges went by and so far it was 2-1 for E'last, which they were very proud.

''For the next challenge the members will be picked randomly!'' one of the hosts announced.

This could go very wrong depending on what the challenge would be. The hosts handed each of your group's leader a box and explained that they would be picking a paper with the name of a member on it, and that member would be competing in the challenge.

''(y/n)'' your leader announced.

You looked at her and walked forward.

''If this is a singing challenge we stand a chance'' your main rapper said as you were the main vocalist of your group.

But you knew that E'last had a lot of very good vocalists too so if it indeed was a singing chanllenge and that you were against one of them you could lose. And you needed to get the point for your group to make the score equal.

Rano wiggled his hand in the box and grabbed a paper before opening it and smiling to himself.

''Yejun'' he said.

Yejun stepped forward to meet you in the middle and he gave you a smile. You smiled back and waited for the host to expain the challenge.

''Very interesting duo! Now for this challenge, it's pretty simple. All you have to do is recognize the song playing and then dance it''

You could hear your group cheering happily because you were especially good at those challenges. You didn't know if Yejun was, so it gave you a bit of trust in yourself.

You both got ready and waited for the music to start playing. First song was Siren by Sunmi and you recognized it immediately and yelled the name of the song out. After getting up you danced a part of it and felt all the eyes on you. Your members cheered and you could hear Hyuk and Wonjun say you were a great dancer, which made you blush under your, thankfully, thick makeup.

As you got back up Yejun congratulated you and you chuckled some and thanked him.

For the next few rounds, you were ahead by 3 points. The next song started playing, and you recognized it. But so did Yejun.

''Monsta X Beautiful Liar!'' you both yelled out.

You looked at each other and waited for the host to give permission to one of you.

''Yejun'' one of them said.

You pouted and sat back down as both you and Yejun got up in excitation. You watched as Yejun danced and smiled excitedly when you noticed he did a mistake.

''DDANG!!'' the second host yelled as he noticed the mistake.

You were quick to get back up on your feet and dance the choreography correctly, which got your group cheering loudly.

''Woah she's good'' In said.

''Point goes to [group name]!'' the host said as you finished dancing with the music fading out.

The hosts called a break and you sat back besides Yejun and he smiled.

''You're really good at this, are sure you're not a main dancer too?'' he asked, which made you chuckle.

''Pretty sure, I just love these challenges, we often do it by ourselves at our dorm and I always win''

Yejun laughed.

''I can see why if this is the competition they're against''

You chuckled again and smiled. You two got up and mixed in with your two groups, all talking together while enjoying some water.

The cold and intimidating Yejun you saw at the beginning was now far and all you could see was a happy puppy. You had to admit he was cute. You two talked a lot during the break and you realized you had a lot in common.

Your talk was cut short as you had to resume the filming. You and Yejun finished your challenge after 3 more rounds and you won the challenge, making the score now 2-2. It was gonna make or break with the last challenge which included all members. As your group consisted of 6 members and they were 8, you had one of them come over to your team to even it out. And the hosts picked Yejun. You weren't mad at it, he was a good teammate.

Your team and the rest of the boys competed in the last challenge which was to steal each person's flag and the first team to be out of flags lost. And in the end it was a tie, leaving only you and Romin on the floor running after the other. Luckily for you, you were quick on your feet and managed to turn around at the last second to avoid him. You two kept running after the other, but that was until you managed to steal Romin's flag. Your team members, including Yejun, screamed at your victory as you ran around the set waving his yellow flag. Your group members ran to you and hugged you to celebrate your victory.

The hosts announced you were the winning team and that you had the privilege to perform your newest comback. You all got in place and started dancing as the music started. You were the first one to sing in the song and started singing as your line started. You felt 10 pair of eyes on you but you weren't nervous as it was your job. You kept performing and then prepared yourself for your high note, which was coming soon.

As your members placed themselves in their position, leaving only standing, you did your high note. Everyone had their mouth open and the cameraman made sure to film E'last to have footage to show during the airing. A few seconds later you finished performing and shortly after that the filming ended. You headed back to the snack section to get a bottle of water and saw Yejun walking towards you.

''That was so good! How were so steady?'' he asked all impressed which made you chuckle.

''Well thanks! I would've liked to hear you perform live though''

''Next week at Show Champion you will!'' Yejun said with a smile.

''Yes that's true, I look forward to it then'' you said before taking a sip of water.

Yejun smiled and you all walked back to the changing rooms.

As your group was ready to leave, Yejun approached you when you were alone.

''Hey, since we got along so well I was wondering if you wanted to exchange numbers so we can keep in touch''

You looked at him and smiled.

''Yes of course!''

You both took out your phones and exchanged numbers before leaving in your respective cars. It didn't take long before Yejun texted you and you two kept the chemistry you had on set going.

Little Extra Company | Wonhyuk

"Babe?"

You called out to him in curiosity, hearing his soft footsteps pad across the vinyl floor. He peaked around the corner of the hallway, slowly coming out from your shared bedroom and into the living room with you. You watched as he waddled all the way to the couch where you rested.

Without saying anything, he moved so he was laying on you partially. His arms pushed his head above your own, leaning down to give you a cute kiss on the nose. Then, he relaxed against your chest and snuggled his head into your neck.

He was very cuddly on this cold day. You couldn't really complain, as cuddles with hoodies and sweatpants were your absolute favorite. When it was snowing harshly and covering up the roads, you had no choice but to hold one another close and watch whatever show was playing.

You wrapped around arms around his back, legs around his, squeezing him tight. "My wittle baby!" You teased, kissing the side of his head before loosening your grip.

You could feel Wonhyuk's smile against your neck. "I'll be whatever you want, as long as I can stay in your warmth."

You laughed, turning your head to the opposite side so you could continue to watch your show. Eventually, his breathing evened out and he began to drift into a sweet sleep. The sound of his steady heartbeat was beginning to lull you into a nice nap as well.

Attempting to avoid sleeping, as a nap would spoil your sleep schedule, you picked up your phone to scroll through. It was becoming harder as you looked for something to distract you, his comforting weight almost like a little security blanket. As your eyes began to flutter, a knock came to the front door.

This startled Wonhyuk into waking. He moved from his position, forcing you to also begin to stretch and pick up from the couch. He rubbed at his eyes and looked at you, wondering why intruded his peaceful nap.

The knock came again, this time louder. You had to acknowledge it now, and Wonhyuk had no problem showing his disliking. He pouted heavily and sat up, allowing you to leave the couch to answer the door.

"Whoever it is, tell them to go away!" He calls out to you as you leave for the door.

You scoff, shaking your head in agreement. "You're telling me. I don't remember inviting anyone."

And although your statement was true, the guests on the other side never needed an invitation. For his group members came whenever, never announcing ahead of time, hoping you were so gracious enough to accommodate them. Typically.

You let them into your home, watching carefully as all seven members filed in with their hands full. Some had snacks, some carried cartons of different drinks, while others carried games or blankets. Your mouth was agape, mortified at the amount of things being dragged into your home with no warning. It was normal, but still unsettling.

"What is happening right now?" You voiced after closing the door.

The members began to unload their belongings in the living room. Wonhyuk also stared in surprise as they began to pile the blankets and pillows like a giant sleeping area. They even moved the coffee table for more leg room.

"You are inviting yourself into my home, and you won't tell us why?" Wonhyuk asks, rubbing his eyes again in disbelief. "Can someone please tell me why you are making yourselves at home?"

Rano smiled. "It's our game night! Remember? Tradition?"

Right. Tradition.

Except the tradition was typically held at the dorm area. It had been officially a year now since Wonhyuk moved in with you, and the tradition had been forgotten. At least, you assumed so, as not prior plans had been made.

"But why at my home?" You asked, sitting cross-legged on the couch, leaning your shoulder against Wonhyuk for comfort.

Wonjun patted at his pillow, laying down with a sigh. "The tradition must go on! So we thought it would be best to bring it to you guys."

Romin gestured to the snacks. "We were going to ask, but our dorms got snowed in while we were away. So we figured we'll bring all our camping things inside for the game night."

Wonhyuk seemed to lighten up a little, although slightly disappointed his sleep was disturbed. "Who's idea was this? I can take a wild guess."

The pointed look towards Wonjun didn't go unnoticed. He laughed guiltily. "I may have suggested it." The sheepish scratch at his cheek practically giving him away.

You sighed. "Well, I guess there's no point dwelling now. You are all inside and it's snowing pretty hard." You began to stand up and head to the kitchen. "All snacks will be left in here please. I'll get us some plates."

Although it was a surprise to have them visit, it wasn't totally out of the norm to have them show up at random. Especially after the first month of your move, the boys were over quite often. It has started to become a habit to host them, to where they began to learn your shared rules of the home. Eventually, they no longer needed to be reminded what to do. The members just knew.

You were glad they were there though. He didn't mention it, but you could tell days where Wonhyuk was away from them, he tended to worry. You both had a few days to yourselves during the snow storm, so having a little extra company never hurt.
