So the question is, will it be My Uncanny Destiny, New Life Begins or Royal Rumours? Because all three look fun!

Jade Leech :

He of course hates it. The feeling of the tightness in one's chest, the need for peace to be resolved. The utter feelings of jealousy are not a foreign one of his. Seeing your beautiful eyes wander away from him- and onto a brand new specimen.

Jade views this as competition, he aches for this new student to be gone. It gets even worse if he were to see you two talking. Though this whole ideal is frustrating... he can't help but chuckle. So this is the familiar jealousy that is seen in all of those teen dramas? Hilarious.

Jade seriously can't forgive himself for being this weak, but for you, he'll keep wearing a smile while you and the new student talk.

It was exactly when period 2 was going to end. You and the new kid were talking to each other since you both had a project for ELA that you both had to make up. As you both were getting ready to leave the classroom, you were then stopped as you noticed Jade walking inside the classroom.

He had a nice smile as he walked to you and the new kid. Jade then stood looking directly at the student with jealous eyes. "Hello, I'm Jade Leech. I have come to inform you that you'll no longer be working with Y/N-san." The students' face morph into confusion and annoyance.

"What do you exactly mean-... Jade-Senpai?" The students' questions with a dramatic sigh at the end. Jade's eyes then narrow as he looks down at the student, partly figuring out what to say as his excuse for this students’ persistence. Jade exhales dramatically as he continues to show this new student that he's not a spineless person.

"Trein-Sensei has made a mistake with the partner arrangements... Yes, I know he said them himself but we all make mistakes. It's proven. See? These are the list of names that he was reading off when he announced the partners." Jade says in a fake disappointed tone as he holds up a piece of paper in front of you and the new student.

Jade chuckles inside as he looks at the students' shocked and embarrassed face. And then watches as the student grabs his stuff and goes to look for his partner instead. You look at Jade confused, but not surprised. He chuckles evilly to himself as he smiles, "Now then- shall we go to your dorm to start our project, Y/N-Chan?"

Idia Shroud :

This introvert feels nothing but ick. He stares at the new student with disgust and jealousy. It's too embarrassing to go through this! Idia can't help but want to go up to his newly found rival and tell him to find his own waifu.

But of course, Idia is an introvert and curses himself for this. Especially for times like this. While you and the new student are talking, he's too busy making a plan for your attention to get off of the new student. Oh, how he just wishes that you weren't the main character.

He's lost in his own thoughts of jealousy and envy. Trying to make it not so obvious that he's staring daggers at the unknowing student. Comparing this whole scenario to one in an anime. Idia then gets an idea and grins evilly.

But then later as you and the new student are hanging out at lunch, in the corner of your eye you see Idia nervously walking towards the both of you. The student notices you staring at something and frowns. Idia then stands next to you and fidgets with his fingers.

"Y/N-Shi... D-Do you want to play this new game with me?..." Idia voices quietly, but enough for you to hear. You chuckle to yourself as you then nod. Meanwhile the new student pouts, "Y/N-Senpai...~ Aren't we supposed to study for Crewel-Sensei's new test together?"

The new student voices as they then pout while looking at you. Idia is taken aback and annoyed, did you not tell this new student that you two were dating? He's on the brink of his hair turning orange here. Idia groans and mutters to himself, "Seriously?..."

It seems like they both want your attention.

You then sigh and look at the new student, tired. "Sorry about this '(Student)'-kun, but we'll have to push our study sesh' later, okay? I barely get to hang out with my boyfriend anymore. You understand it right?"

Both Idia and the new students' eyes were surprised at your sudden bold move of calling Idia your boyfriend. Idia slightly smiles to himself as he looks at you lovingly in his burning yellow eyes. Finally feeling like he won the battle of being jealous.

The new student sighs disappointingly as he then backs off, looking at the table in defeat. Idia then puts his sleeves over his mouth as he looks at you, "You didn't have to go all out you know... you hurt the guys' ego." He mutters to you, ending with a chuckle at the end.

You shrug as you whisper to him, "It was going to happen either way," You say bluntly as Idia can't help but try to contain his smile after your display of bluntness. "Now what game was it that you wanted us to play together?" You then announce.

Vil Schoenheit :

Jealousy... What an ugly emotion. Vil knows the feeling and the description of jealousy all too well. It's one of his most common emotions in fact. He had feuds all of his life. Whether that'll be with a co-worker, fellow students, film directors, or even a certain someone.

Vil though is extremely blunt with his own jealousy. His mind is basically planning to make everyone in the whole room know that he is jealous. Though he can't exactly blame you for being interested in a new person, that's how he met you after all.

But it's just this new student that strikes a nerve with him. The way that you two look at each other... the way that the student looks at you... it's annoying. Vil feels too embarrassed to talk about this to anyone, except to anyone but Rook.

Vil rants on and on about this newfound drama about you and this new student during his one-on-one time with Rook in every Alchemy class. Telling Rook that this new student is stealing you away from him explaining everything dramatically.

"Roi du Poison... I never saw you so stressed before that time at the VDC. You need to calm down before you get wrinkles." Rook then explains to Vil, but it is to no avail because Vil is on his last straw. It has been only 3 days and Vil was already putting that new student on his watch-list.

"I have no idea what to do Rook, Y/N hasn't even complimented me on my new choice of makeup today. That new student is taking all of their attention away from me." Vil glares at Rook as he tightens his hand around the bottle of chemicals that he is holding.

"How is it fair that Y/N finds that new student more interesting than me? They're plain. Their hair, fashion, and don't even get me started on the monstrosity that they call their own makeup." Vil complains with his eyes full of rage, not even realizing how hard he is holding onto the bottle of chemicals.

Rook's eyes widen at the sudden interruption of Vil's thoughts, as his face shifts into worry. "Vil, please. I think you might be overthinking this." Vil then glares at Rook as he takes the bottle of chemicals away from his gloved hands. But it's just then that Vil suddenly gets an idea.

"That's it... I'll have to get Y/N to ignore that new student! Putting a simple spell on that new student- haha~ This is the best idea I've had in a while~~" Vil laughs to himself as Rook looks at him, confused and not surprised.

"Roi du Poison, I know you think this is a good idea to talk about this- but our classwork may be more important right now. We wouldn't want it exploding would we?" Rook sighs as he then smiles at Vil and puts his hands on his hips.

"Now if you could please, Roi du Poison- hand over the vial on the shelf so this potion doesn't explode everywhere. Ruining your hair and makeup." And with a swift motion- Vil then rushes gracefully and grabs the vile.

Malleus Draconia :

The one and only most possessive dragon that there is at NRC. He would have never known about this new student, but since he is a Dormleader Lilia has told him about it during lounge hours. It intrigued him, a new student? In the middle of a school year? He never knew that late registrations were a thing at NRC.

He smiled to himself as he asked for details from Lilia, wondering if this new student was going to be in his dorm. To which Lilia responded by saying that they weren't, and instead they were going to be in Ramshackles'.

His eyes widened in surprise as he wondered if you already met this student. Malleus then went back to drinking his tea as he walked to his dorm room. Moments later when Malleus was minding his own business reading a book in his chair by a window, Sebek suddenly burst through the door.

Malleus glances at Sebek from his book, slightly annoyed, and speaks up. "What is it, Sebek?" He says calmly, furrowing his brows at Sebek's scared face. Sebek tries to catch his breath as he puts his hands on his knees. "Young Master! I have some bad news!" Sebek shouted as loud as thunder, causing crows to leave their trees.

Malleus raises one of his eyebrows as he then shuts his book, placing it on his lap. "What is it, Sebek? I trust that it is something urgent this time. Otherwise, you'll have to report this to Lilia." As Malleus's eyes drift back to opening his book, Sebek then suddenly yells very loudly.

"Young Master! I have come to inform you that your... partner- Y/N has found interest in someone else! This is urgent!" Malleus' eyes are suddenly shot open by this bold statement, but before he can say anything he is interrupted by his own thoughts about whether Sebek was truly telling the truth.

"If you pardon me, Sebek," Malleus said as he closed his eyes, getting up from his chair and walking out of his room, and downstairs to the entrance of Diasomnia.

It was then exactly 9 p.m. You and the new student were studying in the lounge area when you both suddenly heard a knock. You then get up from your seat on the couch as you walk to the door. The new student watched the door open cautiously from his seat.

Once you open the door you see a disappointed Malleus, he frowns at you as he looks over to the open door to the lounge. His eyes widen as he glares at the new student then changes his stare back to you. "Child of man... If I may ask, are you cheating on me?" Malleus' normal face slowly turns back into a frown as he looks at you.

"Huh? No, of course not." You say bluntly as you look up at Malleus and smile. Even though Malleus wasn't buying it so much, he could tell you weren't doing anything like cheating based on your voice. Malleus then sighs and retreats his gloomy and slightly angered attitude.

"That's good to hear... I was afraid for once that Sebek was saying something true." Malleus then slightly smiles and laughs to himself. The new student looks over at the two of you confused, "Y/N?? Are you good?" You look back at the new student as you then turn to Malleus.

"Think that's my cue. I'll send you a letter later, okay?" You rush as you then wave and try to close the door. But instead, Malleus then holds the door open. "Malleus?" You question with your head tilted as you get interrupted suddenly by a fast grab at your hand. Before you could even say anything you felt Malleus press his lips against yours.

You turned your head slightly, enough to be able to see who she was pointing at but not enough to be noticed. The boy she was pointing at had curly black hair, brown eyes and light skin and was grinning and talking to a friend. Mattheo Riddle. — “Let's play truth or dare!” Lorenzo said excitedly “I need a new story to post on buzzfeed.” Theodore rolled his eyes and smirked at Enzo “I should’ve guessed. Hockey Kid/Modern!Gem

a/n; I’m not even sure wtf this is supposed to be, headcannons?? blurbs?? droubles?? who tf knows- JUST KNOW THIS IE INSPIRED BY CEO!/MODERN SEV (series by my bestie @archangeldyke-all <33 check them out heheh) ANYWAY ENJOY AHHAHA

Much like her cannon self, Gem is very active and very much an outdoor kinda person.

Before she entered a hockey club/activity for after school, Sevika always had to drag Gem away from Dorthy so both the little shits could get some rest after being out all day and doing god knows what.

Again, as in cannon, she prefers Gem rather than her actual name because of her biological parents.

Sevika always calls Gem, yknow, Gem. But if Gem is in big trouble or she’s in deep shit, all Sevika needs to do is call ‘Emerald’ and Gem is already there, quaking in her boots.

In class, most of the teachers call Gem by the name she wants, well, other than a few (Gem has beef with her other teachers due to her porta potty mouth)

When it comes to anything sports related, Gem, like most kids, can get really competitive and loves to shit-talk, even in front of the people she’s talking about.

During hockey games if someone is being stupid or just being a jerk, Gem has a tendency of cursing and flipping people off (often being sent to the bench because of this) but otherwise, she’s one of the greatest hockey players in her grade.

After those games and Sevika or Jinx comes to pick Gem up after school; Gem loves to spill all the drama from the games, sometimes even getting a last word with a kid across the building before hopping into the car.

“Yeah we were gonna win if it wasn’t for that-“ rolling down the window and sticking her head out “DUMBASS WHO KEPT GETTING IN THE FUCKINGGG WAYYYYYYY!” Closing the window as fast as she can

Any day she can, Gem is always trying to spend time with Dorothy, even if they were in the same classes just that day. Sure, Gem has other friends, but Dorthy is the og, of course Gem is gonna stick with her!

Gem is a Minecraft kid but often plays Roblox just because Dorthy likes it.

“Don’t only, like, five year olds play that?”

“It’s not for babies :( it’s also like, really pretty and has a lot of games!”

“ugh, finneeee.. but only for a few!”

Hasn’t stopped playing since

Some would think Gem has bad grades due to loud mouth and recklessness but in reality, Gem has pretty good grades, the lowest grade being a D in ELA (she just finds it SOOOO boring) which is the only reason why Gem is allowed to cause so much trouble

During recess, Gem finds random rocks or junk for Dorthy to paint just so Gem can show off like “guys my friend is super sick and she’s awesome”

A lot of teachers mix Gem up with the boys (sometimes kids pick on her because she ‘looks like a boy’ but Gem doesn’t care like; okay?? And??

When it comes to parents showing up for mothers or Father’s Day, Sevika always shows up on those days (if she can).

A kid once tried to pick on Gem for not having a dad and Gem has came up with a new term for Sevika ever since. “Super Duper Epic Mom-Dad”

“Do you have a super duper epic mom-dad?? No? Exactly! So buzz off!”

Sevika can’t tell if she hates it or loves it with all her heart

Gem’s favorite show is Steven Universe, 100%.

She definitely makes several references to the show and Sevika is like “wtf are you talking about??” Until one day she catches Gem watching it (Sevika 100% walked in on the scene with Pearl and Rose fusing)

Immediate reaction was “🤨🏳️‍🌈??👉🏼 📺 💎🏳️‍🌈”

When Gem explained the lore to Sevika, Sevika was like

“ohhhh so it is a gay show..”

this year for school, i'm taking an ela class on allegory, right? and we're reading the hunger games, and talking about the games themselves in relation to irl reality tv, and the teacher has us go up to the board and write down any reality tv shows we can think of, whether we like them or not. so we get a few things down, and then she's like, "think about bloggers, social media, letsplays" and i am instantly like oh. oh no. oh no.

this list was used as brainstorming for a project in which we would explain how we would go about inserting an allegory into a reality tv show of our choice. i repeat: letsplays count.

so naturally i am presenting hermicraft season 8 as an allegory for the reactions of mankind (silly little block guys) when faced with disasters and horrors beyond their comprehension (moon big). im gonna have to go in front of my class and explain the impact of derpcoin on the economics of this minecraft server, and then i will pass my jester hat onto the group doing total drama island. i have watched an ungodly amount of hermitcraft in the past few days and i am losing my fucking mind. i am in heaven, hell, and purgatory all at once. maybe they were never seperate places at all.

😫 - How does your muse handle a family member being stressed out? What about sick?

Ela: Whenever her brother was sick she was ready to spend the night in his room with comfort food and a book on some epic journey ready to be devoured. And when he was stressed out, she distracted him by organizing small trips in the countryside to just chill and exercise with the sword. Visits to the burg were a big thing too! She's a person that prefers to comfort you how she would like to be comforted rather than trying to do something out of her reach.

Hawke: He's an active listener, so he's asking what would they need first before acting on it. Mother is stressed out? Her room would magically turn into a florist laboratory. Carver is sick? Warm bath with bubbles plus his favorite magazines will appear instantly. Also these. He can handle other people's distress quite well, since he's a chill guy.

Ankh: Oh she is the one that is stressed! In a good way tho, because she's a provider and has many resources. She would be the one googling symptoms, actually, but she won't tell you about that article on autoimmune diseases that just matches perfectly with your illness. She's that considerate u-u She'd stay with her loved ones as long as she can, providing everything that's necessary to ease their suffering. And if they're exceptionally stressed, she can either offer a joke to de-escalate or an ear to listen. Among all three, she would be the most worried, so she'd check on her loved ones often.

🍳 - What kind of family gatherings does your muse prefer and why?

Ela: Considering her family gatherings were huge dinner parties with lot of protocols to be respected literally, mentioning a date for some event crushes her soul. She loathes big events, but she's okay with group activities so if a big gathering happens you can find her at the archery spot embarassing herself with her most beloved.

Hawke: He's okay with everything, really, but the more the merrier, especially if the family involved is his Kirkwall crew.

Ankh: As long as there's some drama to be discussed, or to be watched, she's there, and family gatherings are the epicenter of some major drama she would hate to miss! She'd probably listen to other's preferences before organizing things tho - read as Cullen is an introvert and she prefers to put his comfort first. They can totally hide behind a column to eat berries from a napkin and she would be the happiest.

✨ - How important is family to your muse?

I would say that the three of them care deeply about their respective families / found families and they would totally love to be part of their respective cliques too?? Ankh discussing politics and lore with Merrill and Velanna? Chef kiss. Hawke fangirling over Dorian's studies on necromancy and time magic alongside Morrigan? Prepare popcorns. Ela and Bull demolishing a small building with Isabela just because? 10/10.

Hi!! I watched Avatar : The Way of Water, it made me remember when I watched the first Avatar. The feeling of nostalgia came over me, memories of the first movie came back, I was so enchanted by the beauty of Pandora and its inhabitants (I still consider it the most beautiful movie because of that), I don't know why at the time I was a child, but I only watched the movie twice, but I'm watching the second movie now, something warmed up inside me and made me look for the movie's fandon, this made me reach your tumblr (I know, sorry for taking too long) I just want to to say that I loved your Avatar writing and I'm loving the story "To You, Worlds Away" and I just finished reading "Shallow End" which I loved too!!

I loved the reader's interaction with Jake and Neytiri's children.

My heart hurt when Aawpok died. I know it wasn't the focus of the story, but I missed more interaction between the reader and her son Aawpok (from what I see you finished this story, but if you accept requests, I would like a bonus, it can be short, da reader and her son, just the two of them and of course with an appearance by Jake, that would warm my heart a lot!! but of course, only if you want to).

I was very emotional when the reader was giving birth to Tua, all the interaction that the family was giving was so beautiful and healthy!!

Lucky's First Love (cdrama, 2019) - final thoughts

A solid feel-good drama with a great OTP.

After being disapponted with another fluffy modern cdrama, Intense Love (review here), I hoped that Lucky's First Love would be better - and it didn't disappoint :).

The premise is that the ML, Xia Ke, is a CEO of a company that makes online dating games and the FL, Xing Yun (aka "Lucky"), is the first employee he hired. They've been working closely together for two years and they both live and breathe for the company. They are also often bickering with each other which is a lot of fun to watch.

When the ML appoints the FL to be in charge of the new dungeon project, he suggests to her that she should gain some dating experience to help her develop a better game. To his surprise, she takes him for his word and goes to a blind date that her cousin arranges for her. While she slowly discovers what being in a relationship means, Xia Ke realizes that pushing her into the arms of another was a huge mistake because the one who's supposed to be with Xing Yun is….him.

The dynamics is actually similar to What's Wrong With Secretary Kim, but Lucky's First Love is more juvenile. It does deliver the optimistic, good feels though: it doesn't have any huge misunderstandings or a break-up, the second and third leads are actually nice people and there is no-one who actively plots against the OTP.

Ok, there is an unfortunate crazy ex girlfriend trope in the last four episodes, but while she makes the leads uncomfortable, they trust each other and don't break up. It just sucks because it's an overdone stereotype and it took away screen time from the leads who only just got together. So the last episodes are rather weak, with badly written mild "crisis", but the leads get their HEA anyway, so I am not too mad. (just skip the crazy ex scenes and you're good)

The majority of the show is actually great and fun: I would say that eps 7 to 19 are the strongest. There is a lot of build up/slow burn, the leads only get officially together in ep 19 and the pay off is not as great as one would hope.

8/10 - This is a solid fluffy drama with good chemistry between the leads but it has some weaker plot moments towards the end.

Today I want to thank someone. I want to thank someone for recommending a kdrama that has become very close to my heart, even though I am still in the midst of watching it, and I want to encourage you guys to do the same. To in the comment section thank somene in this community who recommended a drama that you are really grateful for. We try to encourage each other here in this community to also watch the dramas that we ended up loving, and I thought it would be nice to see what has come of that. What drama did you end up finding or loving because of a recommendation? And why are you grateful to have found this drama this way? Share it in the comments and tag the person.

I personally want to thank Ela. (@overdramatic.edits) I want to thank her for recommending 'Soul Mechanic' and besides being convincing with her words, also being convincing with her beautiful aesthetic edits. Soul Mechanic is a beautiful healing drama related to mental health problems and the world of psychiatry. The female lead is the same ennegram type as me (enfp) and I feel like because of that I can understand her so well. And actually, ahh this is harder for me to speak so openly about in a caption, but whereas Han Joo Woo has bipolar disorder, I actually have a mental disorder too. Not bipolar, but ADHD. And last year I was also diagnosed with anxiety disorder. For both things I have gotten therapy and that's been very helpful and it has helped clear my head more, understand certain things better. Han Woo Joo didn't want to be seen as a patient for a long time. She just wanted to be normal. She wanted to be able to fix herself. But you can't always fix yourself. Sometimes you just don't have enough knowledge about mental issues to be able to do that. And that's okay. Just like it's okay to get help for physical struggles, it's also okay to get help for mental struggles. You are no less strong because of it. But just like your body, the mind can be complicated to understand too. It's okay to need help with fixing your mental health.

To have found a drama in which I can relate in certain ways to the female lead and it besides that being a very healing drama, that is something I am just very grateful for. This drama is my current comfort drama. I want to watch it when I wake up and before I fall asleep and it always makes me feel better. I'm already excited for the many other gems I will discover through you guys' recommendations.

Eurovision Semifinal 2

Hmm basket of kittens. Anyway, tonight I'm rooting for Serbia, Sweden, Czech Republic.

The hosts are dressed as the flag of Germany.

Finland, The Rasmus, "Jezebel" – Very restrained start. Oh wait. Never mind, that's just how he sings.

Israel, Michael Ben David, "I.M" – Plenty of attitude. The runway effect is clear. Lighting seems a bit dark? Fun dance break. A little exhausting.

Serbia, Konstrakta, "In Corpore Sano" – Onscreen lyrics look oddly like closed captioning, but I think it works for this song because it’s sort of jarring and makes you question what is going on. Loved hearing the entire audience clap along. The beat and her voice are relentless and mesmerizing.

Azerbaijan, Nadir Rustamli, "Fade to Black" – Honestly, I'm still hearing “in corpore sano, in corpore sano” echoing in my mind. It's very competent but after Israel and Serbia it seems to lack personality.

Georgia, Circus Mircus, "Lock Me In" – They're a band, but weird. I do like that one shifty eye that keeps showing up, as well as turning the stage into a giant creepy face. With all the strangeness and odd projections swirling around the stage, the band themselves stayed relatively static.  It makes the performance feel like controlled (not chaotic) madness.

Malta, Emma Muscat, "I Am What I Am" – Unexpectedly wobbly on the vocals.  I wonder if all the climbing up and down and running around was an issue?   It seemed a bit too choreographed and her notes were consistently going a bit flat.

San Marino, Achille Lauro, "Stripper" – The sparkly bodysuit suits him. The mechanical bull is an interesting stage prop but ultimately less interesting than watching him walk around.

Mika somehow sounds very natural trying to fill time while still calling a lot of attention to exactly what he is doing.  

Australia, Sheldon Riley, "Not The Same" – The lighting is full of drama.  He has a very good voice and I enjoyed the staging but when he starts repeating "not the same" I kind of tune out. 

Cyprus, Andromache, "Ela" – A performance that makes good use of the water feature.  Again vocally wobbly and only partly on purpose I think. The last note was not bad sounding, yet quite off.

Ireland, Brooke, "That's Rich" – Did the intro graphic get lost?  Actually found her postcard moderately interesting through sheer personality. Improved in every aspect compared to the national final. The song has been growing on me.

North Macedonia, Andrea, "Circles" – I was worried that the low notes would be an issue, but she's got the singing down and is very passionate. This presentation uses the side panels, which so far have not looked particularly well-integrated into the visuals when they have been noticeable. I wonder what the intent of having those was in the stage design. I’m not that into the song, but good performance.

Estonia, Stefan, "Hope" – This reminds me of Victor Crone, though I would give Stefan the edge in song, singing, and styling.

Wonder what’s going on that made the audience cheer while Mika did this "sound of beauty" interlude?

Romania, WRS, "Llámame" – Dancing is much more confident than it was at the national final.  Still no attempt at telling the story implied in the song.

Poland, Ochman, "River" – The drippy TV graphics are distracting, and the earthquake and lightning graphics even more so. I read it as awkward attempt to dress up a song that is more voice than substance.

Montenegro, Vladana, "Breathe" – What was the random audience shot? Was it meant to be focused on her the whole time?  Judging from the bit at the end, I think I might have enjoyed this song more when I didn't understand the lyrics.

Belgium, Jérémie Makiese, "Miss You" – Oddly breathless in places. He sounds good, but often seems to be singing to himself more than singing to a live or TV audience.

Sweden, Cornelia Jakobs, "Hold Me Closer" – Her green circle looks very nice today.  Is the audience singing along or am I imagining it?  Holy crap that light effect going into the last chorus. Lovely silhouette shot at the end. That was really good. Just a few staging changes from Melodifestivalen, which worked really well. Clear thought and intent in the camera work; they even managed to create an illusion of her interacting with the audience despite the actual distance that is obvious in subsequent shots.

Czech Republic, We Are Domi, "Lights Off" – Lights, lights everywhere.  That was a striking glory note camera shot with the arena behind her.  That glimpse of her expression afterward was like "Hell yeah!" Good way to close out.

Michael Ben David in his monochrome outfit fits in well standing with the hosts.

Was wondering who would bring the Ukrainian flags today; that it was Georgia is not a huge surprise.

Why are they singing "People Have the Power"?  

Hey, is the "sun" moving very slowly during "Grande Amore"? It is. Is that one ring supposed to be in that position? Unclear.

The contrast between "I'm going to go eat pasta carbonara" Chanel and "booty hypnotic" Chanel is startling.

The countries I was rooting for made the final, though I would have liked for Georgia and Ireland to go through as well. 

Even so, my entire top ten (in fact my top 11) are in the final. This is such an odd feeling; I have been watching Eurovision since 2007 and this has never happened.

Day 3

Another morning without drama. The extra hour of sleep plus the lack of bus stress really makes a difference. We actually start our classes earlier than school, and the boys are much more focused.

We took the morning to watch the Science Live publication by Ascellus. It’s not great, but it’s not awful either. It’s a bit like Mr. Science Rogers. My thought is to get the kids into the habit for the scholarship. Don’t think I will do it live anymore though. I’d rather see them working on their studies.

The morning routine is working like a well-oiled machine, but the afternoons are currently awful. The original plan was to have the kids outside for PE, but the weather is cold and wet, and they are still coughing like geriatric smokers. Simon has a habit of badgering anyone within earshot just to spark some conversation. I tried setting him up with Duolingo Spanish and a new lesson on Code.org, but he complained that it was to hard and that he was bored. I gave him extra homework.

Our engineering project today was to take the handlebars off Simon’s newly acquired 10 RMB bicycle and figure out why it doesn’t have any ball bearings. Apparently, the former owner didn’t know what they were for.

Isaac studied ELA today. Yay for English!
