Vampires will always have a special place in my heart. Ever since the Twilight craze of my middle school days and having to sneak read it because my mom was against vampires because they were Satanic or whatever (that's what I remember, anyway). If only I hadn't brought it to church. 😂
@rainbowcrate recently did a special edition of Contract Bound by Elle Mae (I believe it was a RAD exclusive), but their magnet for this month showcases Silvia and Keir from this lesbian vampire romance.

Malice by Heather Walter-
Once upon a time, there was a wicked fairy who, in an act of vengeance, cursed a line of princesses to die. A curse that could only be broken by true love’s kiss.
You’ve heard this before, haven’t you? The handsome prince. The happily-ever-after.
Utter nonsense.
Let me tell you, no one in Briar actually cares about what happens to its princesses. Not the way they care about their jewels and elaborate parties and charm-granting elixirs. I thought I didn’t care, either.
Until I met her.
Princess Aurora. The last heir to Briar’s throne. Kind. Gracious. The future queen her realm needs. One who isn’t bothered that I am Alyce, the Dark Grace, abhorred and feared for the mysterious dark magic that runs in my veins. Humiliated and shamed by the same nobles who pay me to bottle hexes and then brand me a monster. Aurora says I should be proud of my gifts. That she . . . cares for me. Even though it was a power like mine that was responsible for her curse.
But with less than a year until that curse will kill her, any future I might see with Aurora is swiftly disintegrating—and she can’t stand to kiss yet another insipid prince. I want to help her. If my power began her curse, perhaps it’s what can lift it. Perhaps, together, we could forge a new world.
Nonsense again.
Because we all know how this story ends, don’t we? Aurora is the beautiful princess. And I—
I am the villain
Contract Bound by Elle Mae-
From Silvia's point of view, vampires are blood sucking soul less creatures that don't give a damn about any of the humans in this world. She decided that the only way for her to live: Kill vampires and pay off her crippling debt.
Silvia was adamant about not working for blood suckers but when they came to her with the promise of erasing all her debt she couldn't say no.
Now the accomplished hunter is forced to baby sit the most dangerous vampire heir in the world. Their excuse is that humans are smart and they have finally found a way to fight back. Silvia knew as soon as she set eyes on the breathtaking heir to the vampire throne that there was more than meets the eye. She knew that what ever the human rebels had in store could not possibly be more dangerous than the person in front of her.
Can the heir teach her that not all vampires are soul less monsters? It's hard to say but one thing is for certain, the attraction between them is deadly.

Book Review: Contract Bound by Elle Mae
Tumblr media
🌕🌕🌕🌕🌑 (4 stars)
TW (for this book): blood, gore, sexual assault, abuse, and other adult themes
Listen. Was this book spectacularly well written? No. Was Silvia a particularly deep/well-done character? Also no. But did I have just SO MUCH fun reading this? Absolutely oh my god I had so much fun reading this.
I loved the way Elle Mae did enemies to lovers because it wasn't "love interest does something horrible and morally disgusting and then 20 pages later suddenly all is forgiven because they're in love now", it was genuinely just Silvia's disdain for vampires that caused a large majority of the tension between their characters.
Literally the only thing I didn't like was the way that the mid-plot conflict came about - I knew it was coming because it's a romance novel, but the trope is just kind of one that gets on my nerves. A little too close to miscommunication for my taste. Also, the scene with Victor was icky, but I read the trigger warnings and knew that was coming so I can't be too mad.
But other than that this was so fun I haven't had this much genuine fun with a story in a while.
The ending? Jaw DROPPED. The second book? In my library IMMEDIATELY. This book had me giggling kicking my feet and I need to know what happens next.

ShinBaku playing with their S/O in public with a remote control vibe and they’re not allowed to cum 👀
Your wish is my command
Warnings: 18+, mdni, edging, denial, exhibitionism, vibrator, afab, snarky little shits
Tumblr media
You knew your boyfriends were up to no good when they gave each other a sinister look while you were giving your briefing. Being a renowned quirk scientist, you were currently in a room full of heroes, healers, and other scientists you were giving a talk about the evolution and mutation of quirks. It’s some of your life long work and you were excited to finally present your work on a national scale.
So when your underwear began vibrating in the middle of an important section, you tried your best to ignore your boyfriends faces.
You go weak in the knees and stutter over your words. Some the onlookers give you a troubled expression as number one hero Deku raises concern. “Um, doctor? Are you alright?” You wobbly straighten your legs and cover your incoming moan with a cough. You nod and apologize before continuing. As you retain your senses, your memory takes you back to this morning where Shinsou had greeted you with a kiss of good luck while Bakugou was out on early morning patrol.
“We got a gift for you for your big day. We think you’ll like it.”
Those bastards.
You should’ve known they’d get you something like this. They were too calm this morning and you should’ve picked up on it. You give them a slight glare as you go on, nearing the end of your presentation. However, when you bend over slightly to point out a graph the underwear reignites and presses more firmly against your clit. You trip over yourself with a yelp and tightly hold onto the table in front of you. Your legs quiver as you stand back up with a smile. “Apologies all, I seemed to have tripped over my pen. A-and with this graph it ma-ah!-tches our findings about the c-current up trend of brain quirks being more common and the need for increased study and research for brain quirks and physical strength.”
While everyone applauds, you keep your legs together as the vibrations increase the closer you get to your lovers. You wonder which one of them has the remote as it’s turned up higher and you fall over. Bakugou catches you and holds you against him and you notice he’s hard. So it seems Shinsou has the remote. But why is Katsuki…?
His grip on you tightens as you hear a familiar buzzing coming from near you. Oh. Hitoshi is working the both of you. Judging by how red the tips of his ears are, he’s been suffering the same fate as you. The whispers of everyone else in the meeting as they switch topics and presenters. You briefly wonder how no one heard the buzzing; probably confused it with the air conditioning. You start to leave to try and relieve yourself until your loving boyfriend leans over from his chair in a hushed tone. “Don’t even think about leaving. We still have two other presentations to get through. Only then will the two of you get to cum.”
You both groan and take a seat, doing your best not to make any sudden movements or sounds lest the three of you get caught. You pray that your panties don’t soak through and that Bakugou doesnt cum in his uniform. That would just be extra punishment when you get home. And no one wants that right?

Lola Glaudini is the queen of playing problematic misandrist icons. She's Elle Greenaway in Criminal Minds, who was pressured out of the fbi for shooting a serial rapist who almost victimized her, and I just saw her in S24E6 of Law and Order SVU as Lena Hess, who rigged up houses with security cameras to collect blackmail on powerful men in new york who were at best cheating on their wives and at worst rapists and predators

All That It Took Was The Courage To Look – Alex Blake/Tara Lewis, JJ Jareau/Emily Prentiss, Elle Greenaway/Clara Seger, Penelope Garcia/Mae Jarvis.

“Drooling again Blake?” Elle’s comment is light even as she moves past Alex, breaking her focus on Tara who is already laughing, glancing over her shoulder at Alex and smirking, the tight bikini had done it’s job. Clara was smirking even as she settles beside Alex on the blanket. “Don’t mind Elle, she’s just a lil crispy.” “Again?” “Always.” Clara’s shrug is light and she laughs at the sight of Spencer’s chair being hoisted by the army of kids even as Kristy settles with the few smaller kids who hadn’t taken part in dumping Spencer into the water. Matt and Kristy had drifted apart recently, Matt accepting he was maybe a little more interested in Spencer than he had wanted to be. He had quickly risen to try and retrieve Spencer from the kids, then followed them into the water. “Hey Morgan, maybe go rescue your boy?” Elle calls over, already moving to scoop up the ball that Tara had missed catching to throw back to the man. “Chaotic as ever.” Penelope’s comment is light as she settles beside Mae in the deckchairs, holding out a fresh iced coffee and enjoying Mae’s laugh. “Everyone but Prentiss apparently…” “Or Jareau.” Penelope agreed, both women smirking when JJ and Emily finally broke out of the slightly deep makeout they had been indulging in to flip her off, soon settling back together. It may have been chaos, but it was their chaos.

April TBR 2024--
Tumblr media
This next month is set to be full of rereads, hockey romances, and new to me books. It is also the month I'm starting a certification program so it will probably be a bit of a struggle to get through this month's TBR. I don't even remember the last time I've thought that about a month's TBR. I really hope I have as much fun with this TBR as I'm expecting to. I've really been in the mood for these rereads and these hockey romance so I'm excited to finally get to it.
Silver in the Bone by Alexandra Bracken-- This is just one of a few rereads this month. Book two in the series comes out next month. I originally read this one as an ARC so I definitely need a refresher first. Tamsin Lark is a mortal with no magical talent who was never meant to break into ancient crypts or compete with sorceresses and Cunning folk for the treasures inside. But treasure hunting is the only way she could keep herself and her brother Cabell alive following her thieving foster father's disappearance. Ten years later she's looking for a ring that is supposed to save her brother from a curse. It's based in Arthurian legend.
Teen Titans: Beast Boy by Kami Garcia and Gabriel Picolo-- Another reread before a new book in the series. I remember enjoying this one slightly less than Raven's book, but I still enjoyed meeting a new character and getting their origin story. I also felt like it addressed an issue that isn't brought up a lot: male body image issues. We see it addressed a lot in fiction for girls, but there are boys who also go through this growing up. Plus it's beast boy and lots of green animals.
The Score by Elle Kennedy-- A hockey romance! I've been so in the mood for hockey romances this year. I don't know if it's because I found a few new to me authors and bought some kindle books for Christmas or what. In this one we follow Allie Hayes who is in crisis mode. Graduation is looming and she's dealing with a broken heart thanks to the end to her longtime relationship. Wild rebound sex is definitely not the solution to her problems, but gorgeous hockey star Dean Di Laurentis is impossible to resist. Just one though because even if her future is uncertain it sure as heck doesn't include Dean. It seems like he's going to pursue her after she puts him in the friend zone following their one night stand. I love it when the guy falls first or the guy is pursuing the girl so I'm looking forward to this one.
Stars and Smoke by Marie Lu-- The last of the rereads for this month. I'm so excited for the next book too. In this one we follow an international pop sensation named Winter Young who is brought into the world of spies when a major crime boss gifts his daughter a private concert with Winter for her birthday. Sydney Cossette is a member of the elite covert ops group who is forced to work alongside Winter to infiltrate the crime organization's inner circle. This was such a fun and quick read for me last year and I can't wait to go back into this world of glitz, glam, and spies.
Bad Men by Julie Mae Cohen (NetGalley)-- This one just sounded so good when I saw it on NetGalley. It's unhinged women at its finest. Saffy Huntley-Oliver is an intelligent and glamorous socialite; she also happens to be a proficient serial killer. Over the course of fifteen years, she's dispatched bad men--rapist, murderers, domestic abusers. But leading a double life has left her lonely. Dating's rough when your boyfriend might turn out to be your next victim. Saffy thinks she's finally found a truly good man in Jonathan Desrosiers, a true crime podcaster. This is a feminist thriller that asks if even a serial killer can have a happily ever after. My hopes for this one? Rich people drama and some mad women.
The Hemlock Queen by Hannah F. Whitten (New Release)-- The second book in the series is finally coming out. This series starts with Lore, who has a dark power and a hidden past, as we follow her into the intrigue of the Sainted King's royal court. The king and his priest manipulate Lore and have her spy on the prince in order to determine just who is killing the villages at the edge of the kingdom. We follow on from the events of the first book in this new one.
My Lucky #13 by Piper Rayne (Kindle)-- A hockey player who is going through a scoring draught is worried he's going to get traded before the deadline if he doesn't turn it around. Following a New Year's Eve with a woman, he has a waterfall of goals and knows he has to see her again. She wants nothing to do with him and he feels his has to change her mind. A hero falls first sounding story that I'm so looking forward to. I will say that there's a very obvious hockey error in the synopsis of this one and we all know I'm a little picky about hockey details. But I'll try to keep an open mind on this one.
Just Do This One Thing For Me by Laura Zimmerman (Library)-- I'm going to pull the synopsis straight from GoodReads since it's a Mystery/Thriller and those are hard to explain at the best of times: "'Just do this one thing for me.' Drew's mother says it more often than good morning. Heidi Hill has been juggling shady side hustles for all of Drew's seventeen years, and Drew knows that 'one thing' really means all the necessary things her mother thinks are boring, including taking care of her fifteen-year-old sister and eight-year-old brother. In fact, Drew is the closest thing to a responsible adult they've ever known. When their mother disappears on the way to a New Year's Eve concert in Mexico and her schemes start unraveling, Drew is faced with a choice: Follow the rules, do the responsible thing, and walk away--alone--from her mother's mess. Or hope the weather stays cold, keep the cons going, and just maybe hold her family together."

Contract Bound by Elle Mae
Tl;dr
Contract Bound by Elle Mae is a lesbian vampire x vampire hunter enemies to lovers romance.
It is an good read, though obviously if one isn't interested in a dark, toxic - to varying degrees - f/f romance involving vampires, it may not be for you.
Personally? I very much enjoyed it, and while I have too many books on my too read-pile to spend the money on the sequel now, I will almost certainly be getting the sequel (Lost Clause) sooner or later. Whether or not you will like it depends on you. Perhaps the longer review below the readmore will help you decide. (see the bottom of the post for a non-exhaustive list of links on where to get it, as well as details on potential triggers the story contains)
The Premise
The book centers on two characters - Silva, a Hunter for The Order, which is the organization that polices vampires and hunts ones that break the law. They also can be contracted by vampires (law-abiding ones) to protect them against other vampires, or 'Rebels' (humans that want to kill all vampires, even ones that don't kill or who can't be proven to have broken the laws) Her parents were hunters, and she came home one day to find them killed by vampires. (This is all shown in the prologue). She signs up with the Order, and devotes her life to killing vampires. She hates vampires.
The other character is Keir, the heir to the most powerful vampire clan in the world, or so we are told, and a child who acts out to piss off her father. She is due to inherit the clan soon, due to laws imposed by the order that put limits on how long clan heads may remain clan heads. her father, Raphael, is not happy about it, and does everything he can to try and control and restrict her, including contracting with the Order to get her a bodyguard/babysitter to keep her from going out to clubs, picking up girls, seducing them, drinking from them, taking them home, fucking them, wash rinse repeat. Keir, not wanting a bodyguard/babysitter, has gone out of her way to seduce, tempt or otherwise convince every hunter she's gotten assigned to her to break the contract or the rules hunters must abide by. As the back of the book says "whether it was sex, money or power, none of them could resist the temptation."
Obviously, you can see where this is going - the Order sends Silva to be the latest guard, trusting in the fact that she hates vampires so much, and the fact that if she completes the contract her entire debt to the order will be paid off (more on that later) to make sure she stays in line. it's only a few months, and then Keir will be clan head after the power transfer.
And of course, Keir immediately sets out to seduce Silva, only to find out that it isn't quite as simple as she thought it would be - and then, as tensions between them rise, and things happen, they're both faced with a reality they quickly want to deny, each for their own reasons.
It is, about what you'd expect - mostly. In terms of basic tropes and premises, it is an enemies to lovers story involving a vampire and a vampire hunter. It manages to be more than just the tropes, but if you don't like the tropes, you won't like the book.
I will warn that the ending is far, far from happy - it isn't unhappy, this story is not a Dead Lesbian Trope story, but bear that in mind. If you want your queer, toxic vampire drama to end on a fairly positive note, this book is not for you. Admittedly, I do hold out hope that the sequel will provide at least a bittersweet ending, but I was content with the ending for this book, knowing a sequel existed.
The Pros
The two characters have strong voices, and you will find yourself enjoying their POVs, and rooting for their romance as it starts to take hold. It has just the right notes of spiciness in all the right places.
It is indeed very hot, and the humor, dark though it often is, hits quite well. It has a fairly engaging cast of secondary characters operating around the main couple, and it presents Silvia with several moral challenges about her role as a Hunter and the Order, and equally, forces Keir to consider things in ways she never had before. Keir finds herself quickly fascinated by this hunter she can't break, who so clearly wants her, and of course, once Silvia starts to give in, she has that hatred for Keir mixed with the fact she hates herself for not hating Keir as much as she should.
The plot manages to have a number of satisfying twists, that while I didn't see coming - or at least not in the way they did, in some cases - they feel earned, rather than unearned or out of nowhere.
It is exactly what I was looking for involving lesbians, vampires, and enemies to lovers. It hit all the right notes in every way - I've said it several times, but if you are looking for what this story is, then it is very good, and you likely will enjoy it.
The ending was intensely emotionally satisfying despite being not happy. In a 'wreck the reader' sort of way.
The Neutral
The story lacks a strong sense of place, at least to me - the action mostly happens in and around Seattle, by all accounts, but for all that that is relevant, the story could be happening anywhere in America. There's tantalizing hints as to why so many vampires are in America, including the leader of the most powerful clan, a vampire who has been around for many centuries (or more, his exact age is never provided), but they are not really followed up on. (More on this later) This isn't necessarily bad, but it is worth noting.
The story treats vampirism as more an infection than a supernatural state happening to dead bodies, although one does have to die first to be a vampire, and being turned into a vampire is a way to not die if you are dying from some sort of injury. This - the vampirism being an infection rather than supernatural - is generally not a version of the vampire as a concept I personally care for, but that's a question of personal taste rather than a knock against the book.
In connection with the above, it also has vampires as something that can be born - two vampires can have a vampire kid, a vampire and a human can have a vampire kid - not a dhampir, or anything like that, an actual vampire (though half-human vampires need sleep and food, but they still need blood and are very much considered vampires in-universe). Again, this isn't something I really care for, but again, it's a question of personal taste.
The Cons
The biggest con, and arguably this is subjective, but it bugged me enough that I'm going to put it here, is the thin worldbuilding. We are given hints, about the emergency of vampires being this big deal that created mass chaos until the Order was established, but the details are left vague, at best, and it kept bothering me.
The Order appears to be a private organization, but also a government one, filling both functions, but none of this is laid out.
The reasons for why vampire clans work the way they do, why all vampires are largely so much in awe of Raphael (Keir's father) and his clan are implied, and not well explored.
The Order is presented as an intensely controlling, dickish organization that uses its Hunters and spits them back out - which is not exactly an uncommon trope, and some of it makes sense in-universe, but other parts - very much do not. Their controlling, jerk behavior to their own people, let alone their hilarious disregard for civilian casualties (and their apparent license to commit them) as well as some of their more absurd or draconian rules, seems to be there mainly to create conflict for Silva, but the problem is, these rules and behaviors make the Order's job much harder, to a rather nonsensical degree, as far as I can tell. Yes, people and institutions can be jerks, massive, giant jerks, but when that jerkishness undermines their ability to fulfill their function, especially in fiction, a little more explanation is needed.
Another issue is that the Order apparently keeps all it's hunters in debt, like indentured servants, as a means of controlling them. Being trained as a hunter costs money as do your room and board at Hunter HQ, which is still cheaper than living outside of it. They provide some meals free, but only two a day. And the only way to get money to pay off your debt is working missions to kill vampires, or trying to find other ways to make money (the main character alludes to a period early on in her career where she and her friends started doing chores for a high-ranking member of the Order). Since it seems that many Hunters join the Order because of personal tragedy at the hands of vampires, it seems very odd that this would be necessary. Though the Order is so cruel and controlling that even though Silva hates vampires, she does leap at the chance to have her debt covered entirely. In terms of the story, the debt does seem to serve as a necessary plot device to get Silvia to take the mission and then stay long enough for the 'to lovers' part to start to kick in, but it feels like a choice with less implications for the larger worldbuilding would have been better and done the job just as well. Because again, the seeming incoherence of it all bugged me throughout the book, even as I enjoyed it.
Which is really my issue with the worldbuilding in general - it is very thin, and yet keeps hinting at and teasing at implications. I don't know if the author intends to provide answers in the sequel, or if there never will be much followup. I didn't pick up the book with worldbuilding as a major draw, so the lack of it isn't a major detraction (though I am talking about it at length here, it didn't stop me from enjoying the book at all, it's just takes more words to say and I am, by nature, not prone to gushing in great detail about what I like about something), but it did bug me throughout the story.
I don't mind a story not doing a lot of worldbuilding, but when a story hints at greater worldbuilding just beyond the scope of the story, and doesn't follow through, that does bother me. If the author wanted to just focus on the romance over the worldbuilding, then I think they shouldn't have provided so many tantalizing hints and teases and implications, and then not followed up on them to any significant degree, if at all.
Conclusion
Though the thin worldbuilding was a distraction and a negative, overall, the story is excellent at being what it sets out to be, and for that, I did love it. I wanted an f/f vampire x vampire hunter dark romance, and I got that in spades, and a few more things I didn't expect.
But, if you are the kind of reader that needs the worldbuilding to hang together or be good, or seeks out worldbuilding in your vampire stories, this may not be it for you.
Trigger Warnings For The Story
The book actually does have some surprisingly good trigger warnings before you actually get to the story, in the first few pages. But of course, you have to buy the book first to see those. From the Author's website, we have this accurate list of warnings
The themes can include but are not limited to; sexual assault mention, death, gore, parental abuse, nonconsensual biting, off and slight on page SA, trafficking mention, dubious consent, blood play, biting, self harm, tourture, violence.
Of those, I think bloodplay, gore, death and the two biting ones should be pretty obvious - it's a vampire story. Still, better to list them. Of the rest, dubious consent, violence and torture were the ones that really stood out to me as worth drawing attention to. If any of those are significant issues for you, you may want to be careful about the book - that doesn't mean don't buy it or read it if it is otherwise interesting, obviously how or if you engage with what squicks or triggers you is up to you, but always keep that in mind.
How To Get
Full disclosure, there are all on US versions of these websites, I don't know availability outside the US or prices or anything like that, but one would assume the ebook is available through amazon in other countries if nothing else. In principle some of these options should also be available in other countries, but in practice, I don't know. I apologize for my US centrism.
If you want an ebook copy, there appears to be only one way to get it, Amazon. On principle, I'm not going to provide a link to Amazon, but googling 'Contract Bound by Elle Mae' should turn up the amazon page in the first few results. The price there is $4.99.
It appears to be the case, but I am not 100% sure, so please, be careful, that you may be able to get an ebook copy of this book and the author's other books through her Patreon. But like I said, I'm not sure.
You can order a physical copy online, but is of course substantively more expensive. Through Amazon it is $15.99, through Barnes & Noble's website it is $16.99, and on Books A Million it is also $16.99, though it appears shipping is significantly more expensive through them. I think the best option would be Bookshop.org, as buying through them does support independent bookstores (affiliated independent bookstores get a small portion of all sales that aren't done through a specific store's affiliate link. You can also choose to use a specific store's affiliate link to search for the book and then buy it for them to get more directly), but it is the most expensive option, running at $19.54
You may be able to request that your local library buy it, if they haven't already gotten it
Depending on if you have a local independent bookstore or another bookstore that is willing to do special orders to get a book delivered to the store and then you come pick them up (I believe Books A Million Does This), you may be able to request they order it. Procedures for this can be simple or complex. Some bookstores may not want to do this, or may charge you more than it would cost online, as the cost to bookstores through Ingram (one of the main channels for small bookstores to get books) is fairly high relative to the price it costs through larger retailers. If you have more questions, you can ask me, and I'll try to elaborate further.
I don't know of any other ways to obtain the book at this time, but if anyone else does know of others, or has specific details on how one can get it in other countries, please let me know and I'll try to add them to this post or in a reblog.
If you do get the book, I hope you enjoy it!

Tumblr media
“Why are you here?”
You weren’t expecting him to say that to you upon your arrival. You’re struggling to catch your breath as you stare at the villain in front of you. His new outfit leaving little to the imagination, but you can’t let that distract you. You had heard of his suicide mission and how he was going to burn himself to death to make a point. But you can’t let him do that, not with how you feel.
“I’m here to talk you out of it, Dabi. You can go and prove your point to your father, to the world,” you pant and cry out. “But I will not let you go out there and kill yourself! I,” you pause to make sure he and everyone around hears. “I love you!”
All eyes are on you in that moment, especially blazing sapphire ones. He marches toward you and forcibly grabs your arm, pulling you away from lingering eyes. He presses you against a wall, keeping you at an arms distance. “Again, what the hell are you doing here. I told you to stay away.”
You remove his arms from your shoulders to cross your arms. “And I’m not gonna let you do this without revealing my feelings for you!”
Dabi rolls his eyes and runs a hand through his hair and exasperates, “and I told you that you don’t wanna be with or love someone like me.” He cups your cheek and leans closer to your ear. “I’m bad news sweetheart. Or did you forget my legacy?”
You hold onto his hand, your thumb running along his now golden staples. Azure eyes meet yours as you hold his gaze. “And I don’t care. Why aren’t you telling me the truth.” You don’t have to look to know his eyes are rolling as he walks away. “Don’t walk away from me!”
A loud boom shocks you and anyone near you. The smell of burning brick meets your nose as you see a section of the alley wall burning. The anger burns in his eyes as he looks back at you, ignoring his bleeding hand. “You see this sweetheart?! I’m a menace! I’m doomed to a life of being alone! Heh, I think it’s fucked up that you’re the only one I could ever love this way!”
The air is heavy as his words linger in the air. His heart pounds in his chest at the implication of his words. He hasn’t meant to reveal his true feelings about you. In this climate, he wasn’t going to say anything in hopes of burying his feelings along with his death. His line of sight starts to enter yours and now he sees surprise and sadness staring back at him. “D-Dabi…”
“Love isn’t meant for people like me,” he rasps out. “And you wasted your time loving someone like me.”
