And with the confirmation of "Frozen 4" bringing the spotlight back to "Frozen 3", the ElsaMaren fandom gained a new peak of popularity and with it a new peak of haters who began to spread the couple's classic fake news.
Tumblr media
At least two fake news stories have been created that have become popular in recent years:
Honeymaren is underage, 16, during the events of "Frozen 2"
Honeymaren is Elsa's cousin
The first one that was popularized after they faked a tweet from Jennifer Lee, I haven't found it recently being spread, maybe because everyone agrees that there will be a time skip of at least 3 years, so unless these people change the age of Honeymaren for 14 years and under in the fake tweet, no one will care.
Unlike the first fake news, we don't have anything official about it, although watch the film and consider that this woman is 16 years old or younger considering that she is similar in height to women in their twenties, and she is still the leader of a battalion of war with the reconnaissance function is a little strange to say the least.
Tumblr media
But the second we have official words against it:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
When Iduna was 5 years old, her entire family and tribe were massacred by invaders. She was adopted by Yelana's tribe, and for 7 years it was never revealed that anyone survived the massacre other than her
Although for me, and for 90% of the people who watched the film, Honeymaren's quote talking about the scarf and old families was always against this cousin theory.
But I understand the creation of fake news against Honeymaren and ElsaMaren because unlike other shipps involving Elsa where you need to create fanfics or go against canon for these pairings to make any sense, with ElsaMaren it is literally a simple case of relationship evolution like KristAnna.

okay i was thinking about this meme earlier and it really ground my gears bc its like... not true?
Tumblr media
like first of all ik this is a little hyperbole and Not Exact but i still wanna talk about it a lil.
so like first of all the concept art i think this is based off is very early when elsa was the villain and looked a lot different to anna and anna looked the same but her silhouette was different
Tumblr media
and it does look cool and i do love it but this doesn't fit the direction the film went it so they changed it.
and you wanna know what much later concept art looked like?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
kinda exactly like the film. bc the concept art changes. and its the same for other disney films.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
here's some tarzan early concept art vs the later ones
Tumblr media Tumblr media
the beast looks like a completely different species here than the completely different species he is in the later ones.
and like ik the frozen one is more dramatic of a change but the point is they all change for reasons and so does the plot and the actors and the script and everything changes.
but also like idk if Frozen is the film you wanna go for when you're talking about boring character design. so lets go through elsa and anna's journeys (just frozen 1 bc its 3am and im tired i just can't sleep until i finish this rant).
so the first time we see elsa and anna are at 7 and 5 years old respectively. as you can see, they both wear clothes simmilar to clothes theyre gonna wear later in the film. elsas clothes, hair, and colour scheme are very similar to what she transforms into at the end of let it go: hair braided and a very simple light blue dress. anna's look reflects her at elsa's coronation: a green dress with her hair tied back.
Tumblr media
if we look at elsa at her coronation, it's very different from what she wears from the rest of the film. it's still got shades of blue, but they're all much darker and it contains 2 colours she will never wear again in the enterity of the franchise, let alone the film: black and purple. it's also the only time that she wears something that covers her from neck to toe. in addition, her hair is pinned up. to me this represents her repression of her power at the fear that she can't use them or she'll hurt someone or worse: anna.
Tumblr media
lets move on to what anna wears at the coronation. its like a final evolution of the same dress she's been wearing the whole time. this shows that she hasn't really had to repress and can continue being her true self at the coronation. im gonna move on quickly because theres something more exciting that happens to anna's look very quickly
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
SHE'S WEARING A MORE CORMFORTABLE AND SLIGHTLY BLUER VERSION OF ELSA'S CORONATION DRESS! AHHH I LOVE THIS DESIGN SO MUCH EVEN HER HAIR IS DOWN HOW CAN ANYONE HATE THIS FILM'S CHARACTER DESIGN.
okay lemme calm down
its like a tactic when you're finding someone to ask yourself "what what they do?" you put yourself in their shoes and try and see things from their point of view. anyways anna is doing that with her clothes and its might be my favourite costume from the films? she wants to find elsa and help her and isn't scared of elsa even so much that she wants to be her. it's just so good. anyways moving on
Tumblr media
THIS iconic masterpiece. what the discourse is all about. like obviously it's less extravagant than the concept art but first of all the details? the snowflakes coming up from the dress? my girl just learned how to make dresses and already made a masterpiece with ICE! but then also this is representing her being someone who she couldn't have been since she was 7! imagine that! having to repress who you are, not being able to explore yourself and your abilities because you're scared it could hurt someone. and if elsa wasn't taught to be scared of her powers she wouldnt have tried to push anna way and freezing her heart and i just went far off topic.
but anyways this is like kinda why i hate this discourse bc yeah the original wouldve looked cooler but cooler doesnt mean better for the film and i also might have a small special interest in frozen who knows

some HOT disney princess takes that you'll hate or love but i fully stand by regardless. lets discuss~
singing/having a powerful voice is aurora's thing, not ariel's! ariel misses her concert in the beginning of the film, struggles with using her auditory voice to effectively communicate, and even gives it up to turn human. it means little/nothing to her and i think people just attribute singing to her, the same way sebastian and her father do, because it's a plot point in her movie meanwhile if ariel knew you all irl she would not be doing sing alongs like that. on the contrary, aurora is literally blessed with the SUPERNATURAL gift of song from birth by a magical fairy, uses it to express herself, and famously sings more than she speaks. so much of aurora's identity is tied into her song and i really think, if there was a singer or someone who owns the "voice" among the princesses, it should be aurora- besides, have you literally ever heard of a more divinely ethereal but also epic and powerful voice than mary costa's??? like don't get me wrong, jodi benson ATE but also after jodi, all the princesses more or less have a similar broadway sound but like no one else can do what aurora did
snow white should be the leader of the princesses. i love cinderella, i do, but snow white was literally the first and imo is the most groundbreaking female character, animated or not, of ALL TIME and she deserves her flowers. also, i think people are FINALLY coming around to see cinderella's value after years of "cinderella ate my daughter" weird misogyny masquerading around as feminism criticisms and i think a lot of that is centered around cinderella being an abuse victim and that's what's warming a lot of people to her...which i love, really i do. but snow white was also abused and, in her film, makes it a point to end the cycle of abuse. she was even the victim of a murder attempt, after which she continues to pick herself up and find shelter and work for her keep, and that gets lost so much and i think, whereas cinderella's dreams center around happiness, snow white singing of the fact that she's dreaming of the nice things someone would say to her and the way she needs grumpy to like her makes so much sense given her background and i literally never EVER see anyone discussing abuse when it comes to snow white. i think if people started talking her character more seriously and analyzing and appreciating it the way y'all do elsa, we would be saved from the heinously bad takes that get attributed to her (see: rachel zegler. that girl has not said ONE valid thing about snow white and her views are so embarrassingly stamped by pseudo online activism from the early 2000s by users that, not only don't realize how dumb they are but also think they're smarter than everyone else because they dabble in armchair psychology, and it's enough)
ariel collecting isn't leaned into as much as it should be tbh (and i'm talking as a serious pastime, not a parody of her never understanding human things that's contingent on her being a mermaid or being totally ignorant to humans)!!! like we get it, belle reads, but i think ariel collecting as a hobby is so much more interesting and well-rounded and nuanced. like, first of all, ariel collecting doesn't eliminate other hobbies, but actually promotes them! like she has books in her grotto, and we see her reading in poyw, but that's not the ONLY thing to her! she probably picks up on so many tiny details about like historical time periods or climates or dress patterns in a way that heightens life and reality and bridges people together because of all the studying she does and it's just soooo interesting to me, as we see things like the historical community evolve on tiktok and people who are fascinated with studying other cultures and the evolution of fandom in general, etc. also, i get this might be super super hot of a take but i think jodi performs certain songs better than she does part of your world...like i do love the song and i think it's more than worthy of being ariel's character's theme song but there's definitely some other bops in there that are just as good, if not better
belle should have a sequel where she gets to be unlikable for a change! even when she is unlikable in the film, it's never perceived as a character fault and linda woolverton's writing/the other characters in the film just blind hero worship and idolize belle and it's creepy tbh and i think it robs her of being a fully realized person that's treated like other people and can build human connections! like, everyone thinks she's stunning and wants a piece of her and never really takes her to task about her character flaws or even mentally challenges her and i think that's why she's so depressed? people only view her as being ultra desirable, whether it's the castle objects seeing her as a beautiful girl that can fall in love with the beast to the point where they ignore the really shady stuff she does, or gaston thinking she's the most beautiful girl in town and wanting to marry her, or even her fans thinking she's the smartest female character who ever breathed and is incapable of flaws. i think if we treated belle more as a person, maybe she could also have an arc in her movie and it wouldn't just be about the beast! also i think it'd be refreshing and we'd allow women to be people, too, and not this "smartest girl in town, but modest about it, prettiest girl in town, but unaware of it, loyal to her father but still stands up for herself, etc etc etc" unrealistic model. belle deserves EQUALS not just admirers who will never measure up to this pedestal they put her on
cinderella 1950 and cinderella 2015 are not interchangeable as characters or films!!! kenneth and lily did a HORRIBLE job at interpreting ilene woods's cinderella and the changes they made are shameful and the original character had so much more strength and realism to her, but in her own feminine way, and lily's character was a giant step back and is the epitome of making loud changes that result to NOTHING. the way the entire 2015 cast badmouthed cinderella 1950 on their press tour has always sat uncomfortably with me and so many people prefer it over the original one i just. also, cinderella looks best in pink! i LOVE aurora in pink, and we're omitting silver because that IS cinderella's color and nothing compares, but i just think she's so vibrant and cute in her pink dress and i love her with her hair down and it's just so much more fun and human and it doesn't get nearly as much attention as it should
they desperately need to age the content/demographics of the franchise up, like ngl them turning these women (and yes, i think they're women not little girls and the point of their movies is them BECOMING women) into like little nursery crib characters for babies and infantilizing them is creepy. also a HUGE segment of the fanbase is an adult one, like fans of the disney renaissance ladies are typically in the 20s-40s, not four year old's, and i just think disney is doing themselves a disservice by largely ignoring all the adult fans who collect these characters and make artwork for them and keep the princesses in vogue by writing about them and making social media content about them. like the avengers can really tap into their fanbase like that, meanwhile the best us princess fans have are like 8 dollar playline dolls?!?! where is our movie!!! where is our CONTENT. the 2003 princess party dvds will no longer suffice!

I have like, this theory revolving dark rides and their evolution over time, and Snow White at Disneyland.
They originated as thrill rides. The very first Pretzels didn't initially rely on traditional horror imagry like skeletons, monsters, etc, but they were still meant to be scary, taking place in the pitch dark and using loud noises and even physical touch to scare riders. Horror scenes began to be used pretty quickly. They started to be themed after haunted houses and be called "spook-a-rama"s. Disney, with the exception of Peter Pan, continued this with their 50s dark rides: Snow White was a witch hunt, you die and go to hell on Mr. Toad, and the original Alice was far creepier than the Disney source material called for (see: that giant chesire cat jumpscare). American audiences would have expected dark rides, even those not themed explicitly around a haunted house, to be thrilling.
Dark rides in North America have been on the decline in most parks besides Disney/Universal since at least the 70s, with many of the old spook-a-ramas closing down for good. Modern Disney/Universal dark rides are relatively book-reportish, à la Pinocchio, Monster's Inc., Cat in the Hat, Little Mermaid, and Frozen. Even if they don't follow the source material exactly, they still focus on presenting the most iconic scenes/characters/songs from them. Why do you go on the Frozen ride? To see Elsa sing "Let it go." Since the older dark rides have been shutting down and becoming less popular, and their equivalents at Disney/Uni have been less scary, American expectations about what a dark ride contains changed.
These days, if a ride says "Snow White" in the title, they would expect it to be relatively lighthearted, featuring songs and characters from the movie in the spotlight. Instead, they got a single happy scene at the start, a short stint in the mine in the middle (with no dwarves), and a frightening witch chase for the remainder of the ride. Snow White appeared once, the dwarves twice, and the evil queen/witch 6 times! And that's probably why Disney felt they had to nerf it a few years ago. I personally miss the older, scarier incarnation, and find it part of the lamentable tendancy to use rides to support good IP, rather than IP to support good rides. But that's neither here-nor-there.

Personal thoughts (and ramblings) about Hans and “redemption”.
[Writing this because of a post another user made about this topic. Didn’t want to reply to OP directly with such a long rant because I end up talking about other stuff too and going off-track]
Personally, I like and fully accept (and love) the canon material we got for the character, the fact he did what he did on the first movie, the fact he turned out to have evil/selfish intentions all along and from the beginning... But because I feel and interpret him as a rather complex character ("more human-like" or “morally gray”, someone who can consciously and willingly choose to do good and real good, but also do bad and real bad), I still think he’s capable of getting a hypothetical "moral evolution/change" that could push him to –at least– recognize and admit his wrongdoings towards the sisters (wrongdoings that were not "simple mistakes" at all, since they were deliberate and conscious selfish actions).
Do I think he could've had a rough and sad upbringing? Yeah, absolutely, but I still think he chose to be selfish and did what he did for his own personal gain (which is what I think makes his character interesting), even if his past could "explain" and/or throw some light into why he chose this path, he knowingly still chose to do bad.
I think Hans is not the type of villain that has his core completely rotten and Evil™️ like, let's say Mother Gothel, who was totally selfish with her actions and you could tell she was happy and more than okay being that way, she couldn’t have changed no matter what. I think he falls in the middle of being like Ernesto de la Cruz –another selfish villain who did horrible stuff for his own benefit, but at the same time, also had his moments of doing good/being nice for “no reason at all” (like when he saved Miguel from drowning because, even if he did that to show off to everyone, he still acted immediately and did the right thing, although that doesn't turn him into a good person either or erases what he did to Hector and Miguel’s family, of course)– and maybe like a professor Robert Callaghan/Yokai type of villain, who also was completely selfish no matter how hurt he was or what "reasons" he though he had for doing what he did, but it’s canon that in the end he deeply regreted the pain he caused and recognizes his fault in Tadashi's death, apologizing sincerely to Hiro on the TV show (something that was done well because Hiro didn’t/couldn’t forgive him, which is something I’ll talk about later).
The only difference between Hans and these two villains is that, luckily for Hans, his plan backfired at last moment and he didn't end up murdering anyone like the other two (all thanks to Anna's sacrifice, who in some way not only saved Elsa, but also saved him from doing something like that). He has some kind of “second chance in life” to do better or reflect thanks to that (or thanks to poor Anna, to be more precise).
As many people have already pointed out about Frozen, the franchise never was about the simplistic “Good vs Evil” trope, the movie plays with the complexity of things and people, and I think that it’s fair to apply this fact about everything and everyone that made “Frozen” Frozen (including Hans). Don't know if that could count as a redemption arc in itself, but as I mentioned first, I like the idea of him going through a mentality change after reflecting (like Callaghan), even if that change doesn't grant him the sister's forgiveness in the end (which is totally fair and would make total sense).
[I'll go on a tangent here, but I'd like to get out my point of view on forgiveness]
To me forgiveness isn't something you ask for, but something you could be given to (or not) after apologizing. The people holding that power over their aggressor/abuser/bully (etc.) are not obliged to give it to them no matter the apologies they get from the person who caused them harm (and let’s be honest, I don't think anyone can easily forgive attempted/almost murder of a loved one, manipulation, lying, and all the stuff Hans willingly did to the sisters, and like I mentioned above, it was well executed with Hiro and Callaghan, it feels real and completely understandable). Apologizing is key for closure (in some cases/sometimes for the victim, but always for the perpetrator), and if you apologize to someone you’ve hurt, you do it because you’ve learnt and truly feel sorry for what you did, you do not expect absolutely anything in return, not even forgiveness, you're just sorry for what you did, that should be more than enough for you (but maybe not for the victim/s, and that's still okay and completely fair). To truly apologize you need to reflect, understand, and be willing to learn and change.
Personally, I don't usually agree with a lot of people’s ideas of redemption for Hans (after being in the fandom for years) because they usually either involve "unrelated heroic acts" that immediately grant him forgiveness (and I don't agree with that), or it involves some kind of romantic shipping that helps him "realize" what he did was wrong instead of being him the one who does the work (and personally and as someone who’s not into shipping, I'm really not into that either, specially because that shipping usually involves the people he hurt and that’s not my cup of tea, although I respect if anyone is into enemies to lovers, not trying to shame anyone here).
My main problem with this kind of redemption arcs is that they focus on the forgiveness part, making the victim/s the ones doing the work (as if Anna and Elsa owed him that or anything at all), instead of focusing on Hans’ accountability. An unrelated “New Good” doesn’t make a “Past Bad” go away. A new good action does not compensate a totally unrelated bad action done before, apologies and accountability can.
The important part of a redemption and the point/"lesson" of this trope should be the wrongdoer recognizing and feeling sincere shame for what they've done to their victim/s, the willingness to do better from now on and, at the very least (and hopefully) to apologize without expecting forgiveness or anything in return.
A story that calls itself "redemption arc" and only pushes the message of "we should learn to forgive" isn't a redemption arc, it's just a story that puts the moral responsibility on the victim/s while the aggressor doesn't learn anything (and simply gets the happy ending without putting any of the necessary effort).

I havent seen anybody talk about Gabriels new suit yet, so i took this as an opportunity to write a whole ass essay about it. enjoy lmao
You could argue that the whole suit and stuff is all just for the promo for the alias rings but honestly i dont think so bc i feel like it symbolizes SO MUCH.
First off, it makes a huge point to show that Adrien and Gabriel are complete opposites now. bc now hes the opposite of Chat Noir, hes completely in white as opposed to Chat who's in black.
He also perfectly resembles Chat Blanc now (not only are they both completely white, the only colour present is blue and its in their eyes). I think this is to show that hes going to sort of become like Chat Blanc: evolution already showed us that hes descending into madness; hes destroyed any chance to save Emilie without the miraculous by not choosing either Nathalie or Emilie, just like how Chat Blanc destroyed the world by not being able to choose Ladybug or his father, and there are probably much more parallels that I can't think of rn.
What i also noticed is that the model for gabriels suit isnt the same as his old one. its very similar, but there are some differences:
The collar is way higher and tighter than before;
The buttons are missing;
His pants are way tighter that originally: they used to slack a bit at his ankles, but now theyre skin tight;
No shoelaces.
I think the collar change shows that the new powers etc are choking him, or at least that theyre making him weaker. They also give off a more formal, strict vibe.
The lack of buttons show that hes dug himself too deep into the mess hes created; theres no way out, hes trapped in this mess.
I think the pants symbolize how gabriel feels like theres no room for error, everything must be perfectly alligned, and, like the collar, it gives off big bad formal corporation vibes.
The lack of shoelaces, like the buttons, symbolize that Gabriel has no way out.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
He also has gloves on, which is interesting. I feel like gloves are usually used to show that a character is hiding something, like with Elsa and Hans in Frozen.
He also has different glasses on, the cut at the back of his jacket is different from his og model and it looks like the jacket is differently structured (theres a seam right above his shoulder blades) :
Tumblr media
I honestly dont know what to do with that, but its worth noting.
(I know that the seam is used to make a jacket more form fitting, so I guess that falls in line with what the rest of the changes told us but idk abt the rest)
Edit: someone pointed out that the seam is probably the back of the suits lapel, thank you for letting me know!!
Whats also VERY interesting is the fact that he looks alot like how he did in the concept art:
Tumblr media
Whats even more interesting is that originally, Hawkmoth wasnt going to be a stand-alone figure; there was supposed to be a whole evil corporation that Gabriel was the head of.
And now, in canon, we see Gabriel teaming up with Tomoe, and its implied that she is (at least partially) aware of what Gabriel is doing. Together with the whole creepy party in the Gabriel Agreste ep and the scene in Feast where Audrey Bourgeious' and Tomoe's reactions where shown to the reveal of Feast, they could be hints as to whats going to come.
tl;dr: I think the new suit puts Gabriel and Adrien even more opposite of each other, shows the parallels between Chat Blanc and Gabriel, reflects Gabriel and the position he's in now better, and hints at a change in how hes going to operate as Hawkmoth (that he's going to form an organisation)

FROZEN//FROZEN 2: Probably one of the strongest points that connects the two movies
Elsa and Hans arcs have always been parallels in the 1st movie, carring the same themes under opposite circumstances (finding your own place, being what others expect you to be, hiding your true self), working as contrasting forces without explicitly being a good vs evil situation, and while F2 doesn't feature Hans (for obvious reasons), Elsa evolution carries those same themes, with her having now the chance to actually be the hero Arendelle needs her to be, and use her powers for something good, but at the same time with the personal ambition of finally discovering something much greater about herself:

The greatest contrast between them is of course a matter of sincerity.

Into the Unknown: Making of Frozen 2 re-watch notes
Tumblr media
Cover created by me
I was feeling bored today so I decided to re-watch the making of the Frozen 2 documentary series and I noticed and appreciate things that I'd like to share so here are my thoughts and takings:
• "Let it go" is Elsa's theme, and iconic song. "Show yourself" is her evolution song
• Sterling K Brown originally had a song with the Northuldra cast but it got cut out. He said for his audition but when the song got cut, he said “maybe in Frozen 3 ”, so I do hope if Mattias returns he gets a song (Ep 3)
• Mattias is the first Disney animated character of African descent
• Show yourself was the hardest Frozen song the team worked on. It was almost changed to "I'm home"
• The hardest part of it was figuring out what the voice is, which ended being (a memory in Ahotohallan of) Iduna which really felt perfect for the team after such brainstorms
• Seeing how the animation team focuses on their poses and how it ends up, it gives me a whole new appreciation for them. It feels so real like the character is feeling that and we feel it with them too.
• Ryder was named after Chris Buck's late son, Ryder Buck who passed at the end of production for the first movie
• Frozen 2 's scripts took 4 years of writing
• In this Elsa after her (F2) transformation is often referred to as the Snow Queen so it's official that now she's the snow Queen. It's even dropped by Disa in the first episode of the podcast*. So rather than people saying she's the fifth spirit, even though she is, the snow Queen fits more.
• I'm so so glad they got vuile from Frozen to be part of the story being a vuile that comes from Northuldra. The chant is very iconic to Frozen and so I hope they add it to Frozen 3.
• I completely forgot that Frozen 2 beat the first movie with the highest grossing animated movie of all time! I really really hope Frozen 3 takes that title next.
• Jennifer Lee is actually amazing. I know she puts some of her first marriage failure in this but despite that one flaw, she brought us Frozen. The entire franchise she gave to us and it's why we're all here. And yes I'm glad to know she is part of the production of Frozen 3 and it's nice for someone else to direct for a change giving us open possibilities on things.
*Podcast episode reviews here and here.

Working on my fanfic again and it honestly forever cracks me up how when they wrote and announced Frozen 2 there was the promise of explaining where Elsa's powers came from and I was like oh it will also be a way to put a limit to it like, she has a vulnerable personality but magic wise her powers literally have an unlimited scale and only her kindness can restrain it, so maybe in the sequel they will show things she can't do BUT NO they had to make her EVEN MORE powerful and it really is hilarious as a fanfic writer because you're like ???? I can do what I want????? as it doesn't actually matter????? in Frozen 2 she can talk to elements of nature and befriended them and she can playback the past and control water in addition to ice and snow and she can stop a tidal wave so who cares???????
Big yay honestly but also @ WDAS what will Frozen 3's big threat be because at this point if you want Elsa to lose I can only imagine her losing her powers

A Random Frozen 3 Theory-
The Frozen movies are widely recognized for their exploration of self-discovery and personal growth, particularly in the context of young adulthood. In the first movie, Elsa embodies the struggles of a young adult who is grappling with her own identity and sense of self-worth. She experiences intense self-loathing and depression, which are common themes among those who are unable to control their emotions.
Meanwhile, Anna is portrayed as a sheltered and inexperienced teenager who is struggling to navigate the outside world. Her naivety and lack of experience make her vulnerable to manipulation, which is a common challenge for many young people who are learning to assert their independence.
By the end of the first movie, Elsa and Anna have both undergone significant personal growth. Elsa learns to accept herself, while Anna learns not to trust everyone she meets.
But, F1’s end comes with lot of questions like - “What happened to their parents ?” Or “Why does Elsa have power ?”
The unanswered questions from the first movie are addressed in the sequel, Frozen 2, which explores their characters even further.
Elsa's character development in F2 is particularly noteworthy, as she moves beyond self-acceptance to a deeper understanding of herself and her place in the world .She finally discovers herself (What comes after Self Acceptance ? Self-Discovery of course)
However, it is Anna's character development that truly shines in F2. In the previous film, she was often portrayed as a follower, constantly chasing after Elsa and putting her own needs aside. This dynamic is further explored in F2 as Anna continues to prioritize Elsa above all else, even leaving Kristoff behind at times. Yet, as the movie progresses, Anna begins to come into her own, paving her own path and becoming a leader in her own right.
This evolution is exemplified in the scene where Anna talks the Arendelle soldier into helping her break the dam instead of succumbing to grief over her sister's apparent demise. It is a powerful moment that shows just how far Anna has come from her naive beginnings. She has learned to prioritize herself and her own goals rather than simply following in Elsa's wake.
Overall, the character development in F2 is a testament to the power of self-discovery and self-awareness. Both Elsa and Anna have undergone significant changes since their introduction in F1, and their journeys continue to be a driving force behind the success of the Frozen franchise.
As the Frozen franchise moves into a potential third installment, it is natural to speculate on what the future may hold for the beloved characters of Anna and Elsa. While a wedding for Anna and Kristoff seems inevitable, there are also larger questions to be answered, particularly regarding Elsa's role as the fifth spirit. While the second movie provided some answers, there is still much to explore in this area.
In discussing the potential plot of a third movie, it is important to consider the character development that has occurred in the previous installments. Both Elsa and Anna have grown immensely throughout their journey, with Elsa moving from self-loathing to self-discovery and Anna learning to carve her own path and lead rather than simply following her sister.
The concept of self-actualization is particularly relevant here, as it represents the highest level of psychological development in Maslow's hierarchy of needs. As such, it is reasonable to expect that the third movie will focus on this theme, particularly in relation to Elsa's character. As she continues to save the forest, the question arises: what is her ultimate purpose? This is a question that the filmmakers may explore in depth, pushing Elsa's character to new heights of growth and development.
Meanwhile, Anna's journey has already seen her experience - failed love and heartbreak (kinda ? but it's more relevant for Kristoff - Lost in the Woods), and it is likely that the third movie will explore the challenges of marriage and the complexities of juggling work and love. Despite these difficulties, Anna and Kristoff are likely to learn to love and cherish each other all the more for the struggles they face.
Anyway. Let’s see what happens. (In my personal opinion I believe Disney should stop producing sequels of the same story over and over again, hoping to cash in on its previous successes. F2 didn’t meet upto my expectation and I don’t really think there can be any movie better than Frozen 1, cause it is just perfect and we don’t need another rushed, half assed movie just so Disney can make big billions while undermining artistic integrity.)
Lemme know what you guys think !

"How far does overthinking take you?"
What if Elsa's hairstyles symbolizes some deep shit? Like let's look at the first movie.
At the coronation and in her isolation, they were braided and tied in a bun. Right?
And in the let it go sequence, she removes the bun and her hair was in a braid, right??
AND IN FROZEN 2
Her hair was braided most of the time
And then she was on a ponytail
And finally her hair was finally let down
OKAY HEAR ME OUT
What if her hair style symbolizes if she had been truly free or not? Cause let's be honest. In the coronation she was playing by her father's rules of being the good girl she always has to be. She was all "conceal, don't feel" like she is holding back something. Kinda like how her braid was being kept on falling down. She was being kept from failing and ruining the coronation. And when she decides that she wants to "let it go" she undid the bun hairstyle and now she was wearing a braid RIGHT?? Oh but her hair was still somehow.. tied. Despite letting go and discovering what other things her magic could do, she was still.. missing something. Which is why in F2 she felt like she belonged somewhere else. Didn't she already let go? That means shes free to do whatever she wants. N O. There's still something missing. She couldn't quite understand how she came to be, and ofcourse she wants to know the truth about the past and the truth about the voice calling her. Also, the whole time she was in a braid was when she was FAR from Ahtohallan. She and Anna were asking questions about what the hell is going on and what caused this and that. OH! And remember when she went to the dark sea? What was she wearing? A PONYTAIL. Where does the dark sea lead her to? AHTOHALLAN.
The closer she got to the truth, the freer she was.
THE CLOSER SHE GOT TO AHTOHALLAN HER HAIR CHANGES TOO??????? And you know when she let her hair down?? It was when she WAS GOING INSIDE THAT ICY RIVER HELLO?????.
LOOK. AT. THE. EVOLUTION AND TELL ME THAT THESE ARE JUST RANDOM HAIRSTYLE CHANGES
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
ALSO THE MORE THEY CHANGE THE HAPPIER SHE LOOKS
LOOK
IT'S IN THE HAIR
THE SIGNS WERE IN HER HAIR HELLO EXCUSE ME

A Villain for Elsa and The Return of Thord
I already made some posts talking about possible ideas of villainous characters for “Frozen 3″ that with the confirmation of a classic villain in “Wish” I believe more and more possible, but I wanted to talk a little more about this subject and mention a certain curiosity.
This is King Magnificio, the villain of “Wish”.
Tumblr media
Why “a villain for Elsa”? Let's remember the villains or antagonist of the franchise, however you want.
In “Frozen 1″ we have Hans and the Duke of Weselton, but Alan Tudyk's character seems that not even Disney considers him a villain mainly because of the way he was treated after F1 compared to the sociopathic prince himself (I think the Duke he is the most present character in the Frozenverse excluding the main characters and Oaken. If there are people who argue that due to the number of references to the unredeemable monster he has to be in F3, if we use the same logic the Duke has to share the role with the sisters instead from Kristoff lol).
In “Frozen 2″ we have Runeard who is already dead when the plot begins, and it is the consequences of his actions that reverberate.
So let's go to the books: Nattmara in “Forest of Shadows”, and if you want there's Draugr from “Polar Nights”.
And in the comics we have Thord.
If you know these materials, you noticed a certain curiosity about these villainous figures, excluding the Duke and Runeard, all that are left are Anna's villains and not Elsa's villains, except Thord.
Obviously they get in the way of both sisters, but Hans is all about Anna's arc first, Nattmara was driven by Anna's fear, and even the Draugr seems to be more connected to her because of their similar histories (although this part of the book seems more Anna is fighting real-life haters who haven't accepted that she is now the Queen of Arendelle. I like how “Polar Nights” can be interpreted as a metalanguage book). And it's Anna who somehow defeats them all. But Thord is 100% just attached to Elsa.
Tumblr media
Thord is one of the characters I've called "sons of Hans", where he seems to be an evolution of the Prince of the Southern Isles arc. But Thord is special because he is one of several that seem to have been created based on designers of the prince's appearance, but precisely on discarded concept art, which is not at all rare among the NPCs of the franchise, when I say that Hans is a generic character it's not just by implication.
In the comic "Lur Thief" addresses a possible origin for Elsa's magic. Thord is a member of a noble family that he believes in the past should have been the true royal family of Arendelle, and so he tries to regain power from the sisters. But the most interesting part of this is that he believes that this event in the past is linked to the origin of Elsa's powers, and because he considers himself more worthy than her, he also wants the ice powers of the Queen of Arendelle at that moment. Thord is not as simple as Hans who would be happy with the conquest of any kingdom that serves to humiliate his brothers, he wants Arendelle and mainly wants Elsa's magic and power. At the end of the comic what he believed to be the origin of Elsa's powers proves to be a lie, but he manages to escape promising to return for revenge... And as far as I know he never did.
This whole "Lur Thief" plot about the past of the kingdom of Arendelle may not even fit in with what we know of the kingdom's real past anymore. And it would not be the first time that this happens with a comic, there is a comic telling the first Polar Night Festival after Anna becomes Queen of Arendelle which would obviously conflict with the book “Polar Nights”.
What I've said before I repeat now: for me “Frozen 2″ failed to simplify the entire magical universe of the franchise because it limits what it can do with magic. Putting other humans with magic into the franchise at this point in my opinion would take all the weight off Elsa's arc in the second film, as well as causing other problems. And that's why I believe that if “Wish” really was the kickoff for the return of classic Disney villains, “Frozen 3″ will have a great chance of having an exemplary character like that, but even if that person (I'm rooting for a villain similar to Olenna Tyrell from "Game of Thrones") has a magical interest like Thord making Elsa his rival and not Anna, I don't imagine it will be what some want: a "Harry Potter" style duel of wizards or fights using elements like in "Avatar: The Last Airbender”.

☕ The history and evolution of tumblr itself as someone who has been on the website for over ten years? 👀
It sure has been a wild ride huh.
When I started tumblr I was early 20s and at the time I was already older than the average user base so all the stereotypical tumblr things like superwholock, the onceler, the Elsa x Jack Frost ship. etc. I was already too old for and just kind of heard about in passing (when I joined I was following anyone I knew from a Keroro forum and Deviantart so my dash was a pretty mixed bag but generally anime focused) but I think all the famous posts like "tubby custard machine" (my personal favorite), "Endless chocolate", "chocolate fondue fountain parrot", "do you like the color of the sky", the "oppa homeless style" and so forth did cross my path. And don't get me started on dashcon.
I followed a few magical girl confession blogs and I'm honestly glad those fell out of fashion (nothing but drama for even the simplest things), I followed and ran my own ask blog for a time (which imo are pretty fun even if it's just rebranded role playing) and just watching certain fandoms ebb & flow is kind of fascinating in retrospect.
Heck, The different types of spambot techniques over the years by itself is interesting to me tbh, like who keeps thinking this will work? (rn we seem to be back to the "links to nsfw sites using a bunch of random fandom tags" technique, I flag them whenever I see them. Like ma'am this is a chuck e cheese what are you thinking?)
I think tumblr is used as a punching bag too much, a lot of fun internet culture things originate here! Aside from people who take anonymous messaging too far, or just straight-up go on the internet and tell lies for clout (that's everywhere but) we're definitely not a perfect site, but I'm glad tumblr is known for being full of weirdos and gay people, it could be worse, we could be 4chan or reddit.
