A post to prove how absolutely perfect demily is and that Emily and Derek are as infatuated and in love with each other as I am with them

Derek was the first person to introduce himself (aside from jj, but that one doesn’t count bc we didn’t see it lol). And while one can argue derek was just being polite, Emily did her cute little “Emily…. Prentiss” number *cue dimples* 🥰🥹. Even hotch could feel the tension with his whole “we can make nice later”. And while I’m down to admit it wasn’t love at first sight they definitely got the cutes for each other. ANDDDD moments later derek is visibly impressed (like everyone else bc ep is a royal deity) with Emily’s linguistics skills.

Freaking KURT VONNEGUT!!!! Love??? I see love.

First off, she literally rambled about how he was the only one she’d even tried to open up to! Second, their nervous laughter 😍, my bby geeks! “You just made my day!” / “anytime 😉”

+ literally every deleted scene in criminal minds history! You cannot look me in the eye and say the writers never intended for demily to be a thing because they most definitely did

*emilys cute in love voice* “you’re a good guy”

The fact that derek totally opened up to Emily about his renovations! Like those are obviously his form of escape, and I feel like you hardly ever tell people about your escapes cause it’s a you thing, only for you. And the fact that he told her about something so intimate to him!!

The way he physically put himself between her and viper (derek got an A in protecting your girlfriend 101)

Their sexy flirting and teasing

Derek full on looking at ems chest in that one scene. Emily does her own appreciating of the body of her one true love during that other deleted scene

The HOT TUB!!

Not Emily going through a huge trauma (ie her childhood best friend being murdered and reliving some bad days) and derek doing what he can, realistically, to help her and protect her! Like even hotch knew he was the one she needed to be partnered with during this!!

And then Emily thanking Derek for having her back and him responding with “always” 😭

When Emily got hit by the truck and derek found her and took care of her // the wheelchair scene + cognitive interview

AND THEN, THEN later in the episode when she’s being man handled by that one dude who wasn’t actually a bad dude and derek comes in and throws him against a car to get him off of her!!!! I cannot express in words what that scene does to me!

LITERALLY ALL OF SEASONS 6 AND 7!!!!!!!! ALL OF IT!!!!!

Being the only person consistently worried abt her well being. Holding her while she died, hunting down Doyle, that hug, all of it

No other cm ship has a whole like 2 seasons dedicated to a non cannon ship

But especially hit/run. “It’s not you, I love you” “I think I miss you already” and the dance!!!! 😭 I’m not crying you are

Not derek going to London to help Emily get settled…..

Derek using the same quote Emily used when she left when he left

Emily literally only dating people with the same general likeness as derek

When Derek came back for season 12 and they had that one scene too 🥹

CARING ┊ synopsis: hotch takes care of you

✧˖*°࿐ kind of? platonic hotch x fem!reader

hotch knew something was up all day, but you refused to talk about it.

you’re hiding in garcia’s lair while she had gone to find her boyfriend, kevin, when hotch finds you curled up in her chair, crying.

the way you sniffle despite his sudden entrance is embarrassing.

he clearly wasn’t expecting to find you here, probably expecting the tech wizard, penelope.

"look, something is clearly bothering you. you can't hide it from me." you avoid his eyes, expecting them to be stern and commanding as usual, not knowing that there was a gentleness to this exchange.

"what's wrong?" he asks, clearly concerned but trying not to show it "you've been quiet for days." he leans against the table, crossing his arms over his chest "talk to me,”

"i'm not going to force you." he tells you softly "but I want you to know that i'm here when you're ready." be takes a deep breath, his eyes softening slightly as he looks at you "i'm worried about you."

"uou look like you haven't slept in days." he says, his voice low "your eyes are sunken in, and your skin looks.. i dont know, you just need help. i'm not sure what's wrong, but I want you to know that I'm here for you."

"you're stubborn,” he admits with a small smile at your lack of response, "but even you can't deny that something is off." he hesitates for a moment, then decides to push slightly harder "is it work? personal?”

your lack of response and the nonstop tears falling seem to concern him more as he continues,

"well, I can't make it better on my own. but what I can do is make sure you take care of yourself." He says firmly "that means getting enough sleep, eating properly, and drinking lots of fluids."

"i know you can be stubborn, but please don't push me away." he says softly "I just want to help." he leans in slightly, his eyes searching yours for any sign of understanding or agreement "deal?"

you hold out your pinky, not trusting your voice to speak right now. he links his much thicker pinky around yours, bringing it to his lips, and stamping it with a kiss, and you do the same.

"that's how jack an' me do pinky promises," he clarifies.

"alright, then." he sighs, knowing it might be a battle but promising himself he'd fight for your wellbeing "let's start with now. if you refuse to go home, come sleep on the couch in my office.”

before you can refuse, he adds,

“i’ll close the blinds.”

"okay'boss" you manage to whisper before he pulls you to your feet, wrapping you in his arms, promising safety, and maybe even love.
