I watched it when it was coming out when I was in high school, of course grew super attached to sadboy Slaine, spent pretty much all of the first season when he wasn't there going "where is Slaine". Then the 2nd season happened and they did him sooooooooo dirty lmfao. I was so fucking pissed.

• It might be difficult to trust but you argue a lot.

• Most of the time you or Chan just let it go and you both forget it but when it goes too far you run far away from him.

I'm really sorry I didn't see your message earlier, but I just wanted to say that this might be the loveliest message I've ever received.

Yeah being a Daniel girlie on reddit the last few years has been *interesting* for sure. I started posting on reddit during the 2021 season, and at first it was just responding to people who hadn't been paying attention to why Daniel was struggling at McL, or highlighting some of the issues wth car/strategy/team orders that went largely unnoticed.

I think I started posting more when it seemed like the only people who were sharing articles/opinions on there were the negative ones, or they'd cherrypick some specific quote they knew would be spun in a negative way. And it really ennoyed me that the people who obsessively commented some of the most vile crap on every DR post/article, were often the same ones who would dig through to find negative quotes/articles.

The second half of last season into the start of this season was probably the most negative, but it's been nice to slowly see somewhat of a positive shift, and a lot of people are now at least acknowledging things like DR actually being very good technically at car development/setup etc. There's a really nice little group of Dirlies on reddit and I always see a lot of the same usernames pop up to defend DR. 💕💕💕

Ive been playing city of heroes again and ennoying it alot. The last time I played my focus was Sunshine. A martial artist who inherited an amulet that allows her to teleport. She has no power aside from this gift! She just throws punches and kicks and is a real tough bitch to take down. I love her. Hee real name is Samantha Rowan and has a tie in with Moon Caller, my first character on Rebirth.

She likes to wear armor as protection including advanced versions of medival knight armor.

This time around I have been playing two characters. Light Storm and Star Soul. Light Storm is a kheldian peacebringer. Her body is merged with that of a energy being from beyond the stars. I dont have a backstory as i redid her gender and threw out her old backstory. I like the female models alot more than the male ones it seems. But ill update when i do.

Star Soul is Jerren Rayse, a staff fighting mutant and old man extrodianaire. He xan generate extreme amounts of heat and control his internal temperature. Hes also a speedster because I wanted one! Ill make more though. He will refuse to be an incarnate when the time comes because he detests the havoc they wreak. Instead he will train others to use the powers better than the current incarnates. Hes my fire farmer.

Im also making more characters too because I cannot be stopped. Iwant another speedster that I will take out more often than Star Soul. I want to do an archer. I also want to make an angel for shits smd giggles. That might be Divine Soul, my ice ice blaster ive been power leveling.

I have the altitis again god damn and a fire farmer to make leveling a bit more bareable

As an author I love when characters start living on their own in my head. It also counts for fanfiction. It is so much more fun when characters make suggestions. Lately I have fallen back into One Piece, and done some careful rereading to flesh out some things for a fic idea. This has had three effects. The good thing is some of the OP characters have started taking life in my mind. The more ennoying thing is that Trafalgar D. I-have-ideas Law is trying to explain his endgame plan to Luffy and the others of the Strawhat crew in my head. I mean, it is not a "bad" idea in the meaning it could work. But Luffy and I agree that we would prefer him alive at the end of things.

The worst thing is Luffy's counter ideas. The latest one involved eating the Shark Submerge which would absolutely not work, at least not that I can see. Where the hell does he pull his ideas from ?

I think this blog being titled “I like kids’ shows” speaks for itself, but I really want to make it clear to everyone that I really like kids’ shows. The reason I have this blog isn’t so that I can complain about cartoons, it’s because I want to talk about the things I’m into, faults and all.

Because I’m an analyst, to me, picking something apart, seeing how it ticks and reassembling the pieces into suggestions of how things might go differently, is a form of love. Every “issue” a show has isn’t really that big of a deal and me pointing a flaw out isn’t me diminishing the show. If I actually find a show upsetting, I’ll drop it, like I’ve done to many shows.

However, just because a lot of examples like this are kids’ cartoons, that doesn’t mean only kids’ shows can have these issues. Frankly, for every kids’ show that disappointed me so badly I dropped it, there also exists a show made for adults that disappointed me so badly I never watched it despite being interested in the concept. Even shows that don’t disappoint me tend to be less entertaining for me than kids’ shows because there’s this certain attemp to appeal in adult oriented shows that I find tiresome. Sincerity is looked down on, everything has to be approached with a joke or cynicism and there’s an obsession with “realism” (as in, being similar to a cynical concept of “real life”) and being gritty. In more modern works we can add attempts to go viral onto the pile, although that can also show up in modern kids’ shows as well.

Animation is my favorite medium for telling stories. Some of the most nuanced stories told through this medium are aimed towards children, which both frees these stories from the expectations of “adult-oriented” stories but, in return, traps them in the expectations of kids’ shows. It’s just a matter of picking which limits harm your enjoyment less. For me, characters not being allowed to cuss ever even when a situation really calls for it and using innuendos for death is less ennoying than characters constantly cussing until it loses all meaning and the show being overrun by sex, drugs and gore.

Frankly, I find adult media more often than not more juvenile and childish than media made for literal children.
