on what account do your base your idea of yourself on? do you base it on your past actions, thoughts, ideas? how far back? do you account for how you have changed? do you base it on what you are doing in your day to day? I force myself to be brave. does that mean I am brave? am I simply feigning the personality of bravery? or is that what a brave person is to begin with? what is a brave person? say your current actions conflict past actions, but you feel your current actions (positive, negative, or neutral) don’t reflect you. what is “you” ? how are you defining you? for how long can you continue with your current actions before your past actions become irrelevant?
#example: you have to get up early everyday for your job/school/etc but you like to sleep in. you consider yourself a nocturnal person#but it’s hard for your body to keep up with staying up late so you begin waking up early consistently - even on the weekends. you naturally#do it and never sleep in anymore#would you still consider yourself a night owl#even though you mentally know that in the past you liked to sleep in - there is no new evidence to back up that you are in fact a night owl#your current actions say you like to wake up early#i feel like it always boils down to the question of: are you your actions or your thoughts#am i brave because I carry out brave actions? I am a cowardice at heart.. but none of my actions say that. but do they have to?#am I a brave cowardice then? shaking as I reach every goal#is it possibly to exist as both? should it be possible to only exist as one?#drives me nuts to think about this kinda stuff. it’s why I hate filling out that mbti test#am I answering these questions based off of past actions that I may or may not identify with anymore if I don’t have a recent example?#if I don’t go out how can I answer social questions? if I do go out because I didn’t leave my house for 2 years and am catching up on all#the social time I missed BUT it still feels out of character for me - how do I answer??#they ask for my actions I can give them my actions but the lack of asking my feelings and vice versa is what gets to me#I have to end this cause I can seriously go on forever

୨୧ goals ୨୧
Physical: working on being sober, ab workout routine, getting into bed earlier, not snacking so much, wearing the clothes you're saving for a "special occasion", trying out new looks and clothes, venturing out new styles, upgrading your basic hygiene routine, drink more water
Mental: journaling daily (or near daily..), decorating pages, keeping track of emotions both negative and positive and what triggers them. Get rid of the negative triggers and bring in more of the positive triggers.
Emotional: getting in touch with a therapist, dedicating a journal to release you emotions instead of bottling them in, interpret dreams, talking to friends when things upset me
Professional: working 1 hour more than usual, dont wake up and finish work before class
Personal: find your old hobbies (crochet), discover new ones (shirt making 👀), trying new food even if im nervous, complimenting people out loud, making an effort to hang out with friends when opportunities present themselves, limit youtube time
Finance: learn how to budget, no impulse spending, watch videos about making money with art and follow through
Important habits to have: waking up and going to bed early, using planner, having a morning and night routine but the freedom to change it/ leniency with myself if i dont stick to it
Important skills to build: how to communicate my own needs, learn what the line is between sharing and dumping (rather than choosing to bottle everything ive ever felt lol)
schedule ଘ(੭ˊᵕˋ)੭ ੈ♡‧₊˚
So you've picked your goals. Great. Now take a look at your schedule and figure out what things are taking up most of your time. Is it a long commute? Spending too much time scrolling on your phone? Waking up late? Going to bed late?
୨୧ time blocking / schedule:
☆ Mornings:
5-6am: exercise
6-7am: shower, get ready for class / library
7:30-8am: library for breakfast, get ready for the day
~class~
☆ Evenings:
get back from class, shower immediately, change into pajamas
eat dinner
finish homework
plan the next day, journal, go to bed
Assess how you spend your time and utilize it. Instead of scrolling on your phone during your free time, spend time with your loved ones (pets, kids, partner), instead of staying in one place while you're on a call, walk around to get steps in, there is always a way to implement your goals into your daily life.
Notice how I say fit your goals around your life. You don't want to be taking away important things like errands, jobs, school, being a parent just meet your goals- no. Use your time wisely. That's all. You can fit them.
On the larger goals like taking up a class/large skill, like dancing and painting. On fridays, you'll have dance class and on other days that you have free, you'll be painting a piece or reading your anticipated book, learning a language, trying out a new recipe, planning the next day, taking a spontaneous art class, etc!
Weekends.
Because I work a lot, I like to use weekends to really do deep work. Intensive study sessions. And because I deep work (work with no distractions) I don't need to study all day. I'm getting so much done in little time that I'll be done by the afternoon and I can go out and do errands, get all dressed up and have a nice day out in the city, or just have a relaxing day by doing chores, watching a nice movie and more!
3. Setting up a system so you can actually stick to those goals.
Keep a journal to keep track of what you did today. If you didn't reach a goal that day (and that's okay), ask yourself why? and how does it make you feel? Then take action on what you can do to reach it tomorrow.
i think post its in planner should be effective
Switching. We all know it’s best to not push yourself so hard. For example, don’t do intense exercise everyday. Walking and dancing throughout the day counts as exercise too, so by switching (depending on YOUR goals), you’ll have time for your other goals as well. Here is an example: on a rest day of no exercising, maybe that day is the night I have a ballet class. That is exercise as well. So instead of exercising in the very early hours of my day, I can use that time instead to do more studying OR have more time doing something else.
which means I can do one do the following: spend more time with my pet, read a few pages of my book, make a new recipe, etc.
Ex. 4am-5am - on a no-exercise day, i can study during that time instead. 6am-7am - more time to tackle my other goals.
Create a foundation. If you have an amazing day, felt very productive and accomplished, what's a habit that really helped? if you had an off day, figure out why and maybe your foundation can help.
★ That’s all!

Final Assignment:
The Exhilarant Manifesto
Read and experience the thrill of life!
Throughout my entire blog you will find all kinds of exciting things that have come about from this semester. While looking over my entire Tumblr and trying to find the best unifying theme and or option that weaves my web of posts together, it became very obvious to me that the emotion of thrill is most common among my blog. Scrolling down my blog I noticed all kinds of energizing and fast paced feelings which completely contrasts from a more relaxed everyday type feeling that may come from someone else’s work.
My uplifting and over all promoting lively theme is projected as early as our first assignment About Me. When I look this post over, I visualize the vitality that comes from someone moving to a new state and starting new beginnings. There’s always some type of excitement in moving to a new area and creating a new and exciting normal for yourself. You can’t help but to think of all the new possibilities and opportunities heading your way, new friends, new hobbies, new school, new sites to visit, etc. You read about me moving here to Florida and then I go on to talking education which is also a completely new and exciting aspect in life. Staying competitive throughout school in order to quickly get into the FSW dental hygiene program and the excitement that hides behind that door that has yet to open. This exhibits my theme from the swiftness of going through school and straight to where I want to be in life.
Moving to the next example in my blog I see our module two assignment which consists of depicting a piece of art work. The one I chose is a woman who is sitting on a staircase who seems to be pondering in her life. The glass of wine sitting in her hand is symbolic of the overall theme of my blog, an energizing and paced life. This also represents partying and even clubbing which is super exciting and vibrant living. When you think of alcohol you can easily find it while clubbing being this woman is visibly young and more than likely interacts with other people her age in the night life scene. I see this and imagine the flashing spirited lights and loud music which instantly gets your heart beating faster. As I continue down my blog I come across the module three assignment which consists of analyzing a painting of never ending passageways of staircases, “Drawing for The Card Game” by artist Fernand Léger. The emotions the viewer may sustain from this painting is instant stimulation from not only your eyes but your brain. You immediately wonder how to overcome this staircase and are eager to find an exit or some type of explanation for your own personal satisfaction. The question of how to get out and the overwhelming senses that come from this is captured within my blogs theme. Moving onto module seven assignment which is to write your own climactic short story. Mine consists of a woman who moved to the big city to continue her passion in writing and to make it big. This move is very exciting and uplifting, though not only does the main character feels this but the reader themselves. Everyone hears NYC the big city that never sleeps. All the hustle and bustle of people trying to catch cabs to get where they need to be ontime and all the lights on the billboards, traffic, and constant people roaming the busy streets and sidewalks. Not only does the stories setting portray excitement and vitality but so does the climax of the story. The aspiring writer must work a usual 9-5 job to afford living before she makes it in the writing world. The theme of fast paced and vital living is portrayed when she realizes her alarm that’s supposed to wake her up for her first day of work never went off. She quickly gets up and runs around her NYC apartment and attempts to get ready quickly and then her oven which is warming her breakfast up goes up in flames. Reading this you feel emotions of shock and anticipation which furthers along my blogs constant theme. My last example of ecstatic and quick living themed blog is shown in module eight which is to list 6 songs that exhibits my musical theme. For example one of my songs is from the electric song genre, bulletproof by La Roux. This song is extremely tense and charged being this would be a song you could hear out in a club, somewhere where the atmosphere is invigorating to one’s senses, flashing lights, loud (electric) music, flooded with people who are all feeling the same sensations partying. While watching the linked music video to the song it shows the artist walking amongst striking geometric 3D objects and she is wearing bold makeup and clothing that portray her electric genre. The rhythm of the music is very electrifying with a tempo of 123 BPM. This song in all ways depicts my tumblr wall’s theme of an exhilarating and fast stride that could be someone’s life. My blog this semester overall differs/opposes any feelings or experiences that are pacifying and non-stimulating. Music, feelings, art, and thoughts all lean towards the electrifying and wild side of life.

04/11/22
I woke up to the house being empty, my sister and her boyfriend were already at work. I went downstairs and got greeted by the dogs before going into the kitchen to make myself an iced coffee. It was awful, to be honest.
My sister didn't really have any food so I decided to skip breakfast. I went to take a bath instead. We don't have a bath in my house, just a shower. We used to only have a bath. I adored taking baths, I would sit there for over an hour just enjoying myself in the hot water. Today I considered 20 minutes to be a long bath. Over the years I've been burdened with massive financial guilt due to my parents constantly talking to me about the bills and how I shouldn't waste water and electricity. At this point my regular showers are 5 minutes and my long showers (where I shave my whole body, do a hair mask etc.) are 10-20 minutes. I don't understand how people can spend longer than 20 minutes in the shower. What do they do? I get so bored so quickly, I wish I could stand under running water for an hour without having a constant fear of the water bill.
After my bath I did my makeup, got dressed and decided to go for a walk around the neighbourhood. Whenever I stay at my sister's house I don't really go out anywhere, especially by myself. It was nice to explore a little, even if it is just roads upon roads. I stopped at a shop and picked up some snacks. I know I know I'm meant to be eating healthy or whatever but I figured if I didn't have my brother to buy me food everyday I'd have to survive on something.
When I got back I made myself a coffee, fed the dogs and set myself up in the living room to watch some shows before anyone got home. My sister's boyfriend picked up his kids to stay over for a night. They live with their mum normally since it's closer to their school and friends and then they usually stay here for the weekends. The older one I get along with very well, she's only 2 years younger than me, she's polite and we have the same sense of humour. The younger one however, we're both not a fan of. I don't know how she ended up so different to her sister but she is incredibly spoiled, throws tantrums over nothing, she's lazy and she's mean, really mean. Both of them are well off, in the sense that they get a lot presents, they have the newest iphones, laptops etc. but at least the older one is humble and grateful. The younger one, she's 11/12 I'm not quite sure, is absolute evil incarnate. The worst thing is that she'll never aim it at my sister or her dad, just at me and her sister for absolutely no reason. She'll kick and scream and cry and needs constant attention. As someone who is the youngest sibling themself, she sets a bad example for us. From one side I do get it, she gets jealous at how well I get along with her sister and I admit we don't include her in some things because, well to be honest, it just feels like we're babysitting. At the same time there's clearly someone who is enabling this behaviour and not teaching her that it's wrong, which isn't her fault.
I stayed up until 2am with the older one, which is later than I've stayed up in weeks. It was probably the 2 coffees I had earlier in the day but it was also a part of me that was genuinely embarrassed to fall asleep early in case she might think I'm not cool anymore. I don't know why teenagers associate an awful sleep schedule with being better than people who fall asleep and wake up at normal times after getting enough sleep. Call me old but I like getting 10 hours of quality sleep, going to bed at 10 or 11 and waking up at 8 or 9. 10 hours might be too much but that's what my body wants so that's what my body gets. Since I don't have a job there's no need for me to wake up at a specific time so I don't use alarms anymore. My body wakes me up when it has had enough sleep and I respect that. Over the years you learn to realise that your body tells you everything you need.

🌱 Tips for New Cg’s!! 🌱
☀️🐸☀️🐸☀️🐸☀️🐸☀️🐸☀️🐸☀️🐸☀️🐸☀️🐸
first, let’s start off with what a caregiver is! a caregiver is someone who cares for an age regressor/dreamer! they may sometimes set little rules or goals for them as well! they make sure the regressor is taking care of themselves (like drinking water, or doing school work when they should!) or reassuring and comforting them when they’re not feeling too great! caregivers can also have rewards or punishments. a caregiver can be a friend, a partner, or even a trusted family member! sometimes, regressors use certain nicknames to address their cg, such as: “mommy/daddy, papa, mama, bubby, big bear,” etc! (here’s a list of cg nicknames i made!)
becoming someone’s caregiver requires lots of communication!! every regressor is different, and they all have different needs! be sure to discuss what your regressor needs from you! maybe they just want some reassurance every now and then! or help with regressing and staying small! or to be praised for doing things like homework so they can feel motivated to do it the next time as well!
rules: rules can be very helpful when taking care of a regressor! however, some regressors might not want rules! be sure to discuss this with them first! again, every regressor has different needs to meet! like how you might not want to punish a regressor for not going to bed on time when they have insomnia! this is why it’s very important to discuss it with them beforehand!! with that out of the way, here are some rule ideas!
1. brush your teeth at least twice a day!
2. no sweets before bedtime!
3. try to drink enough water everyday!
4. always hold my hand when crossing the street!
5. ask before eating sweets!
6. bedtime at 10:00pm!
7. no saying bad words!
8. always be honest!
9. eat at least 2 meals a day!
10. make your bed every morning!
punishments: now, what do you do if your regressor isn’t following any of your rules? some caregivers use punishments! (and i cannot stress enough how important it is to talk to your regressor about them BEFORE you give them any punishments!!) again, punishments should never be physical!! and you should never take away a comfort item as punishment! another important thing to note is that you should never punish them for something they can’t control! always talk to them about it! communication is very important! with that being said, here are some punishment ideas:
1. early bedtime
2. time out
3. limited screen time for tv or other electronics
4. no sweets
5. taking away or lengthening the time it takes to revive a reward. (which i will get into right now!)
rewards: for regressors who follow the rules, or reach certain goals, you may want to give them a reward! rewards are great! they may motivate your regressor to do things they need to do like chores or homework! and they’ll encourage them to follow the rules you have set for them as well! examples of how a reward may work is “if you drink enough water for 3 days, i’ll buy you a new toy!” or “if you finish all your homework tonight, then tomorrow, we’ll take a trip to the library!” something i see often, but isn’t usually brought up is when your regressor is truly trying their hardest!! they may be working on as much homework as they can but still unable to finish it. please be sure to recognize their effort!! tell them they still did an amazing job for doing their best! in cases like this, i believe they still deserve a rewards! here are some reward ideas! :
1. a new toy/game!
2. a sticker!
3. extra time before bedtime!
4. something yummy!
5. a trip to the park!
activities: here are some fun things you can do with them! remeber that everyone has different interests and find joy and entertainment in different things!!
1. have a tea party/ picnic!
2. help them make a cool fort!
3. have a disney movie marathon!
4. take them to the park or a zoo!
5. color pictures for each other!
6. play some video games with them!
7. do some cooking or baking together!
8. having fun with bubbles!
9. go out for a walk! make a list of things for your regressor to find on the way!
10. play games like hide and seek!
if you didn’t know, regressors can regress to different ages! punishments, rules and rewards should reflect that! for example, you can’t punish a two year old for not making their bed! they may not know how! and you can’t give a two year old a new game that’s rated 17+ as a reward! so be sure to discuss age and what rules, punishments, and rewards work best for your regressor!
important things to take note of:
• learn your regressor’s triggers if they have any. this is very important!!
• treat them like you would a little kid! they are not acting little. they are literally and truly in the mindset of a little kid!! for instance, be impressed if they show you a drawing they made!
• do not ignore your regressor’s emotions. if they cry over something that seems silly, they are still sad. no matter how “small” the issue is. give them proper care and comfort.
• be patient!! some regressors can’t verbally communicate when regressed to a certain age! and that may also be the case if they are neurodivergent! be sure to talk to them about this! maybe learn simple sign language! <3
• do not neglect your regressor. not even as a punishment. while you do not have to be in contact with them 24/7, it’s nice to have a small heads up if you can!
• learn their stuffie’s names! this goes such a long way!! stuffies are super important to some of us!! and learning their names tells us you’ve been paying attention!
i hope this guide helps any new caregivers!! if you have any questions, i’d be happy to answer as best as i can!! and remeber, COMMUNICATION IS IMPORTANT!! <33

(This has taken me forever to write. Be prepared for a long answer! *kicks it out of the draft box*)
I don’t think I’ll choose a Type for this answer because I chose Types in similar questions. This time I’ll go with the word “ideal” and play with that for a while.
This answer will be about the steps to finding an ideal match. INFP style.
Everyone knows that INFPs are the dreamers. They dream their way through being a child, through the teen years, and yes right through adulthood. It’s unavoidable. If a potential situation creeps up on an INFP, it won’t be long before they have come up with all the imaginative ways to live it and make it their own. Within their minds.
I am going to reveal some things about myself as an INFP that aren’t easy to reveal. Tapping into this realm of idealism that INFPs seem to be known for.
What exactly does it mean when someone says that INFPs are idealistic? It’s more than just seeing the good in others and hoping for a bright future. There’s a side of darkness within it as well because this doesn’t always mean ‘realistic’. It can mean searching for qualities that only exist in our thoughts.
My topic within these imaginative daydreams will focus on “The Ideal Match”.
I have to say that the first sensation that comes to me while thinking of this topic is… wistfulness.
In my expansive INFP imagination, my ideal match is someone who wants to know me.
That’s it.
Okay, that’s not all, but that’s where it begins. With someone who has SEEN me. And not just seen me, but moved closer instead of shaking their head and walking away. Of course, that doesn’t make an automatic match, but it has to begin somewhere.
Can you imagine the elation of being truly seen? That tiny ray of INFP light shown outward has caught someone’s attention. What should be done now? It isn’t love yet. Right? This elation isn’t love. But what if it is? No, it’s much too soon. Maybe if the door is opened a little bit more. … What are they doing now? Running? Moving even closer? OMG. What should I do next?!
Breathe. This doesn’t mean they are devoting all of their eternity. It just means they are curious. Stay calm.
Does that sound like panic? It might be. There’s always the fear of doing too much too soon, yet wanting to reach out and touch. The unseen internal tug of war.
So, this is where the INFP stands now — Revealed some of their deep self and was noticed for it. Then the person stuck around wanting to know more.
This is a great beginning. But what’s next? It would probably be easier to know what to do if this took place in-person. Body language and tone of voice is clearer to decipher. Most likely this all happened online, where emotions and reactions can be filtered through the process I refer to as: “I’m doing my freakin’ best to explain myself with only text!” *flails*
I would say that being seen and someone wanting to get to know you are where new friendships and possible future-relationships reside.
Being seen is nice, but being understood is even better!
It looks like a connection is forming. This is where our INFP will decide what sort of sharing is appropriate.
There are all sorts of sharing:
💙 Surface sharing - which involves interests and everyday activities. Also known as “small talk”. Topics such as pets, job or school, hobbies, books, etc. This isn’t always an INFP favorite, but conversations have to begin somewhere. During the small-talk phase, an INFP will determine whether there is potential for a connection. And, yes, an INFP is more than capable of this discovery just from small talk. This could last for a brief time period or for many days, depending on the person’s comfort level. 💙 Test sharing - which involves emotions attached to topics. Such as the meanings behind this or that event in life. It could be another subtle test to see if the other person is still interested in talking. Or it could be a bit of desperation to have someone to finally discuss the deeper aspects of the world. Some of these emotion-laden topics might not be used by most people until later in a potential friendship-relationship, but INFPs may reach this level of conversation fairly quickly. This type of conversation could continue throughout the friendship-relationship, obviously while no longer in a ‘testing’ fashion. 💙 Personal sharing - which involves longer and more frequent conversations. It’s a bit like sharing your life in ‘real-time’. At this point, the INFP has decided this is someone who is interested because they haven’t run away, and maybe it’s okay to invest more of ourselves with them. These sorts of talks are like inviting them to our home and giving them a glimpse of what life is like for us. These discussions are saved for close friends and potential love interests. 💙 Deep sharing - which involves all those things an INFP shares with no one. And by ‘no one’ I mean ‘a rare and special someone’. I think many INFPs have an inner vault where they keep all the topics that have been too much for other people to handle - such as traumatic memories. Some INFPs, after being rejected in the past, may choose to never touch this level with anyone again. Other INFPs may decide that if this special person can understand what’s in the vault, then they are absolutely ‘the one’. Whether as a love interest or a very close friend.
🍵 There could also be a level 5 which may involve fantasies or the darkest of secrets they may never tell anyone, but some INFPs might lump those in with #4. It depends on the individual. 🍵
The difficulty with those Sharing Levels is finding an order that works and sticking to it. It wouldn’t work well to start with #1 Small Talk and then skip right to #4 Deep Sharing. (I mean, unless you’re talking with a therapist, then go ahead.)
Now that I got the informative portion out of the way, it’s time for some INFP idealism!!
INFPs are amazing humans. We care with our every breath and we want the best for those around us. We can also become stuck within our idealistic thoughts. No, that isn’t a secret.
We are called The Dreamers for a reason.
INFPs have a difficult time with this strange thing called Reality. We are flooded with violence from the media, and sometimes it exists in our personal lives. Reminding us of all the hurting souls we can’t help. We have potent plans of how we will change the world. Then Reality sneaks up from behind and whispers “you do realize no matter how hard you try, you can’t save them all…” Thanks, Reality.
It’s these realizations that can infiltrate all aspects of life - how we envision our future, how we envision our environment, and how we envision our Ideal Match or our Ideal Partner (in a potentially romantic sense).
I first started imagining a ‘love interest’ at around age 12. It wasn’t marriage or white gowns that I imagined. It was someone who cared by listening to me.
One of the first crushes in a love-interest way I had on a person (other than classmates I mentioned in a different answer) was Hawkeye from the MASH re-runs. ( I don’t know what it is about me and ENFPs, but anyway…  I spent long hours daydreaming about somehow being illogically inserted into that environment just so I could sit and have long conversations with Hawkeye. 😅 I thought he was the perfect match for me. Of course, he had other issues going on, but I was willing to overlook them all! This daydream went on for a few years until I moved along to other potential unreachable love interests.
The important factor about the idealism and daydreaming is that I was internally forming a list of what I hoped to find in a future partner.
Attention and caring were important. Kindness to others. Devotion to helping people. Silly humor. Depth of character. Capable of understanding pain. Willing to imagine what could be.
Sadly, if an INFP isn’t paying attention, they can idealize themselves through life…even through the most painful events and can become addicted to this coping mechanism.
Like I did.
The downside was that since I never truly encountered a great deal of decent treatment personally, I didn’t know how to recognize it in others. It was unfamiliar territory (for many depressing reasons). So in my early 20s, what I did was latch onto a person who I thought had the potential and idealized everything else about him. He gave me attention, sure, but I think I consciously idealized everything else about him. Even when there were many clues that he wasn’t a good match for me.
I rejected every natural instinct I had and encompassed myself in flowery daydreams in order to survive the life I’d suddenly found myself in.
That is probably an extreme example of what idealism can do to a person. But I think that INFPs have the very real probability of slipping into this unhealthy internal mindset.
If we aren’t careful, idealism can turn into an INFP mind-trap.
I don’t want to turn this into a negative answer. Idealism has wonderful benefits if used in healthy creative ways. To imagine what could be. But there also needs to be a balance with Realistic thoughts.
Always stop and ask yourself “Is this truly a possibility? Is this actually what is taking place? Am I somehow coloring the truth from myself?”
Only then will an INFP truly find, not just an Ideal Match, but a True Match.
Without any of the rose-colored glasses interfering with what is Real.

birth chart reading for @strayk
hello! welcome to your reading. I’m gonna give you a quick overview of what I’m going to analyze about your natal chart. feel free to ask me anything if something isn’t clear, of course. you’ll find out your dominants’ influence on your persona, your physical appearance, impression on others and the way you approach the world; your ego, identity, the real you; your reactions, your desires, inner emotions; your way of expressing your feelings, your mind and ideas; your desires and approach to love; your energy tank, instincts and temperament; in-depth analysis of each house with their rulers and analysis of heavy aspects; love life + soulmates/karmic partners interpretation; your relationship with your friends; your family life; your approach to career and work in general + possible jobs suggestion; your style, fashion sense analysis; life purpose and past life description; basic transits’ analysis to describe your current mood and, last but not least, your secret skills, how to make the most out of your soul and manifest what you desire based on your birth chart.
🦋 chart shape, dominants
your chart is a bucket shape, with saturn as the handle of the bucket. your saturn is in the 3rd house, hence matters regarding thinking and communicating will be your priorities in this lifetime. you also have clear ideas about your future and who you want to be. even though you may have different passions and talents you’re capable of only sticking to one and mastering it, giving your all.
your dominant planets are saturn, venus and neptune. you a very hard-working and responsible individual, yet you don't lack softness to you either. in fact, you may be quite romantic, you may daydream a lot even though you still manage to get stuff done. you also enjoy the finer things in life, and hence you could come off as a little materialistic.
your dominant sign is aquarius. you're eccentric and rebel, you don't like being told what to do. you're very considerate of others, as you focus more on the development of a group rather than your persona. that's because you want the people you frequent to be as open-minded as you are. aquarius people are capable of elaborating different ideas in a short amount of time; hence, you either overwork yourself, or you're not able to keep up with all your ideas, leaving projects unfinished.
your dominant element is air. in your life, you adore seeking for knowledge of any kind. you may be interested in studying different subjects, from those you study at school like science, maths, literature etc. to more unconventional ones, such as astrology, psychology, criminology and so on. you enjoy interacting with people; even if you’re not that sociable, you’ll still be interested in their point of view and their ideals, as you see it as a way to expand your own mind. you’re also interested in vintage, and you may have a retro aesthetic or just like history in general.
🌎 ascendant in taurus, 1° / 1st decan ruled by venus
taurus is ruled by venus, the planet of beauty. therefore, you’re probably very attractive, even if not conventionally. taurus risings usually come off as introverted and shy, you’re probably not much talkative. you’re an homebody, you prefer staying at home reading a good book instead of going out and partying, even though you don’t despise hanging out with your friends either. basically, you’d rather watch a movie with them than going to the disco, for example. you’re a very patient and cautious person; because of that, you may considered slow, and it may be true, especially in your movements. yet, you just like thinking deeply about a decision, even if it’s just about what to eat for dinner. you don’t want to have regrets. you may also be quite materialistic, and hence you’re extremely careful to how you spend your money. you don’t want to be a burden to someone else, in fact you most likely used to feel guilty to ask your parents for money when you were younger. you’d rather be independent. usually, taurus placements are quite egotistic, but I don’t think it’s exactly your case. your heavy aquarius energy points out the opposite; you’re careful to who’re you generous with, but you’re not selfish. you don’t fancy flaky, insignificant relationships. you prefer having long-lasting and intense bonds, you don’t have time to waste. you’re particularly loyal, but you could become too possessive and possibly controlling of your partners or friends. you’re probably not very flexible in life, since taurus is a fixed sign; you’re particularly fond of routine and you don’t like changing it out too often. it’s hard for you to adapt to changes, so you’d rather avoid them at all. taurus risings tend to have a very youthful vibe to them, and they’re usually more on the shorter side, or at least average. I’ve also noticed that they tend to have naturally straight and silky hair, even though this may vary due to your strong aquarius energy, which could make it curly or even frizzy. nonetheless, it’s still thick and good-looking. it looks very healthy, even if they may barely take care of it. your eyes may be big or at least of average size, and they’re usually hooded, almond-shaped with naturally long lashes. your nose could be a button shape or a french nose but, even if it’s not, it still goes very well with your overall face. your lips are most likely full, even if not necessarily plump. you may also have a defined, distinctive cupid’s bow. last but not least, you may be of average height or tall, with long arms and legs.
taurus ascendant square aquarius mercury: you appear as a very intelligent individual, and people may even feel intimidated by that. you love interacting with others; even if you're not much talkative, you like hearing about others' theories and opinions. you could also do that by reading blogs, books etc. you may sometimes find yourself in conflict with others, as you’re very opinionated and hate it when others’ opinions are baseless. pretty much, you could seem like a know-it-all. on the other hand, you have a nice sense of humor, you're able to light up the room with your words, even though this quality of yours may be overshadowed by introversion at first. you could take advantage of your astute words and sense of humor to get you out of troubles, though! just be careful not to claim that everything you say is true, especially since your mercury is in aquarius. you're very confident about your ideas, but others could feel intimidated by your words.
taurus ascendant square aquarius venus: this aspect makes you more outgoing, or at least you're more prone to interact with people, you don't really get awkward. you’re also most probably very attractive, people are naturally drawn to you. the downside of this placement is that you may suffer from self-esteem issues, as you really care about others’ impression of you. maybe you’re a little bit clumsy too. it’s easy for you to gain popularity, but be careful as it’s not always good. popularity brings scandals too, so people you see in your everyday life could possibly start gossips around you. the good thing about this aspect is that you emanate loyalty, so you usually attract and choose loyal and trust-worthy partners. this placement may also bring issues and problems in marriage with your future partner, especially since your venus isn't really well-aspected, but I'll dig deeper into this matter in the venus section.
taurus ascendant square cancer saturn: you may be shy and have self-esteem issues, especially during your early years. because of that, you may often appear as insecure to others, or even unreliable. you have a strong desire to be with someone and commit to them, you despise supertificial bonds, but at the same time you may find yourself being too shy to approach others, especially during your early years. luckily, I feel like the effect of this aspect is mitigated by your sun in aquarius, which makes you extremely confident. you may not be the most confident person on earth, but you're not the most insecure either. this may apply more to the younger you, actually. you don't feel much comfortable around other people, and others can sense that; your insecurity is exposed to the world, and some may take advantage of that to hurt your feelings. you're afraid of being judged, whether it's for your appearance, or maybe because of your ideals or interests. hence, you end up becoming reserved. this is something that will be solved through growth and time; the older you get, the easier you'll be on yourself. also, thanks to this aspect, you're a responsible person with defined values. to cope with this placement, I'd suggest you to do what makes you feel the best. there are different ways to boost your self-esteem, so maybe you can work on that and then start expressing yourself freely; if you do it without the fear of being judged, you will shine even more.
🌞 sun in aquarius, 14° / 2nd decan ruled by uranus and venus
this is the most charming aquarius decan. even though you may face some insecurities, you’re typically a strong-minded person. you strive for independence, as you focus your existence on your witty intellect. you have the ability to achieve great things, as your mind is literally revolutionary, even though you may struggle to make those projects concrete. a downside to this placement is that you may not give enough importance to your words; you’re brutally honest, and you may often hurt someone with your thoughts. even though you may appreciate it, as you don’t like it when people aren’t straight-forward, you probably don’t realize the effect your words can have on others. you’re also quite stubborn, and you take particular pride about your ideals. you may feel offended when people disagree with you. or maybe, you don’t even say your opinions, because you could be aware of the weight of your words and you don’t want to hurt others, or you’re afraid of being judged. people may define you as cold, but you’re really not. you just struggle to look sweet like other signs, and your heavy air energy doesn’t help either. you’re more detached, but that doesn’t mean that you don’t have emotions. in fact, you tend to analyze things rather than feel them, and hence it takes you a while to actually develop empathy. in addition, you're extremely creative, you often stand out as you make people see new points of view. your presence is surely felt.
aquarius sun conjunct aquarius mercury: you express your ego and identity through your words and ideas. you’re very opinionated and you protect strongly your beliefs. after all, you probably came up with your ideals after thinking deeply about them, you were too precise to be wrong. you’re also probably an avid reader, and you could do well in writing yourself, as you’re able to properly convey your ideals with your words. also, your heavy aquarius dominance makes you naturally good at writing fantasy, sci-fi and anything creative and original in general. your mind is very active, and you feel comfortable letting all your thoughts out. it’s actually a way to relieve stress. you also have a wide vocabulary, and you’re capable of making a formal speech if you have to. you have a memorable way of speaking, as your words are very sharp. it’s hard for you to be ignored for your intellect.
aquarius sun conjunct aquarius neptune: this placement softens your aquarius sun, you're more considerate. in fact, you’re extremely empathetic, you probably find yourself being a psychologist for your friends. or maybe, you’re actually a psychologist. you’re easy-going and you have great social skills; I don’t see you being extremely extroverted, but you don’t mind hanging out with your friends. you’re amazingly creative and imaginative, you have the ability to picture your ideas. the downside to this placement is I’ve noticed that, since you may come off as vulnerable, you could have the tendency to lie. you don’t do it out of cruelty of course, it’s a sort way to protect your ego. you could want to be seen as bolder than you are, hence you could struggle with identity crisis, especially during your teenage years. you have your own morals and beliefs, but you could feel influenced by others to change yours. luckily, this is something that gets better with time, as you start being more aware of your persona and you start loving yourself. you're most probably a very complex individual; not only you have very contrasting energies in your chart, but neptune is also the most 'confusing' of all the planets. you're a sort of chameleon; you act differently based on where you are and who you're with. you could be a savage with someone, an introvert with someone else. you may even feel as if there's something wrong with your mind, as you just wish you could be like others.
🌙 moon in scorpio, 25° / 3rd decan ruled by pluto and neptune
with your moon in scorpio, you’re way more secretive and cautious than most aquarius people. you tend to preserve yourself, even though it’s hard for you to repress your emotions, as they’re too to intense to bottle them up. you absorb people’s feelings like a sponge, there’s no way that you won’t instantly understand their real emotions. overall, you tend to overreact a lot; you have cancer's sensitive energy on one side and scorpio’s mysterious, almost scary vibe. dealing with these emotional burnouts may be stressing to you, as you totally get caught up in them. even if it looks like you get to know other people often, you actually don’t let others know you. you’re the type of person to talk and socialize, especially after your saturn return, but you never reveal your deepest fears and thoughts to strangers. you only open up to people you’re sure you can trust. when you’re angry, you can literally go as far as using violence; you need to let out your emotions by screaming, swearing… anything that can make you feel better. I’ve noticed that scorpio moons, when they don’t get rid of all their negative vibes when angry, they tend to get physically sick; you could get stomachaches, or maybe even headaches. there’s a secret, sensitive side in you that needs passionate and romantic partners in love. yet, you can’t help but feel more attracted to the ones that may hurt you badly. you’re possibly quite sensitive to higher entities too, like ghosts, spirits and stuff like that.
🗣 mercury in aquarius, 6° / 1st decan ruled by uranus
mercury is exalted in the sign of aquarius, so this is definitely a beneficial placement! you have a very distinctive way of thinking and speaking. you don't like being like others, you don't follow trends. you're probably the trendsetter, and you may find confidence and pride in your ideas and opinions. some may even define you weird, but you have very strong beliefs that could actually be helpful for the world. you're quite 'ahead' of others from this point of view, you're able to find beauty in things without being influenced by others. for example, you may follow a fashion trend before it gets viral. you are able to come up with very innovative ways of solving problems, you're extremely creative. you may even be the type to invent your own words, or perhaps you love learning and reading new words, you have a wide vocabulary. you're also probably interested in science and any darker or logical topic, you want to use your words and theories to change something in the world. you want to leave an impact, maybe even help others through your mind. you have a very witty sense of humor, you most likely speak fluent sarcasm and you're also very astute. I would say that the only problem with this placement is that you may come off as a know-it-all, especially with your sagittarius mars. you're proud of your intellect, you can't help but show it off, but obviously others may be jealous of you or feel attacked. for your voice, I assume you have a very particular tone, maybe even a nasal voice.
aquarius mercury conjunct aquarius venus: this placement confirms your struggles to open yourself to the world. you’re insecure that your thoughts and ideas may be judged negatively by others, hence you just bottle them up with your feelings. this aspect is mostly positive, though! you’re probably a good singer, or at least you have a very calm tone of voice that is pleasant to hear. you’re able to see both sides of an argument, hence you may be good at helping people making up. you could actually be suited for psychology! you may also earn money through your voice and thoughts, so you could be a writer, a journalist, an actress, a singer etc. this placement assures that you may be sociable, or at least that you have great social skills. you're also quite diplomatic! you always try to be nice and gentle with your words, you don't want to hurt anyone's feelings. your tone of voice is extremely soft, sometimes it could even be hard to understand what you say, as you could naturally have a low voice.
❤️ venus in aquarius, 0° / 1st decan ruled by uranus
when it comes to love, you actually step out of your comfort-zone! taurus is traditional, aquarius is unpredictable; that is, you're not into clichés. sure, you need a loyal partner who's stable both emotionally and financially, but at the same time they must have something unique about them. you're not the type to fall for the first guy you see down the street. in addition to that, you're not into the typical, cheesy romantic stuff. you want your partner to be a friend, not only a boyfriend/husband. you want to feel able to talk and vent to them, just like you'd do with a friend, but also someone that is willing to stay with you through thick and thin. you hardly fall in love at first sight, and you act quite casually around your crushes. in fact, most of the times you come off as so detached that you hardly look like you're interested in someone. boys could get intimidated from you because of that, in fact sometimes you just wish you could be the one taking the lead and ask others out, and maybe you do. yet, I think you're a bit quiet, and that could restrict you from doing it. also, as I've already mentioned, you need a partner that can stimulate you mentally. you can't stand a boring relationship with no amusement and excitement, you want someone that can constantly surprise you in some way. in fact, you'd probably choose brains over looks. last but no least, you hate feeling committed. that doesn't mean that you're unloyal, not at all. but you can't be with someone possessive that wants to take control of your life, it would be the death of you. you're able to stand up on your own.
aquarius venus opposite cancer saturn: you're a very affecionate and loyal partner. yet, due to this placement, there could be some insecurity around your love affairs. you may be too cold in relationships, it could be that you have troubles showing your love and affection for others. or perhaps, you're afraid of being in a relationship, and hence you may directly avoid them or break-up all of a sudden. or also, you could literally jump into relationships, resulting in you getting hurt from time to time. because of this, with this placement marriage is usually delayed. it could be hard for you to find your true love, but it'll surely come. you could possibly date people more dominant / older than you, and I'd recommend you to get married after your saturn return, which is around your 27/28s. little side-note, you may often date karmic partners, aka partners from your past lives, so you may often experience this 'I’ve already seen you before’-vibe in your new encounters and relationships, and you’ll always learn something from all your relationships.

you probably have a very particular style. it probably descrives who you are. you may be into traditional pieces of clothing that are always a must: cardigans, blazers, plain t-shirts, jeans etc. you probably wear natural shades of colours, hence white, beige, grey etc. or maybe also pastel colors. you may also be into retro fashion trends, especially 70s/80s. you don't like following fashion trends, you prefer making your own.
👁 past life, life purpose
in your past lifetime, you used to put your spirituality aside for a while to focus on finding out your identity here on the earth. you learned how to be responsible, healthy and stable on the earth. you know your values, and they’re already very grounded, you’re very mature from this point of view. in this lifetime, you now need to get more in touch with your spirituality. you need to get close to your higher self, and you may actually be quite skilled at it; probably you may interpret your dreams, you could be interested in religion, what’s beyond the world, and you’re most likely also interested in astrology and other occult matters. you’ll finally be able to reach happiness and fulfill your soul when you start having awareness of your soul’s purpose. since you’ve booked a reading, I’m sure you’re already on the right path, so keep going this way.
🤔 major transits analysis / march 25th
overall, 2021 could be a bit hard for you, as transit saturn is conjunct natal sun in aquarius. when saturn makes contact with the sun, it absorbes vitality. as a result, you may often feel down and insecure. you may feel anxious and worried very easily, you feel lots of pressure and responsibilities on your shoulders and you struggle to carry them. during these days, I would suggest you to find something that allows you to think about something else; meditate, write, pray... anything that makes you forget about your worries for a while.
🧿 manifest what you want, secret skills
you’re very in contact with your spirituality, making you more sensitive to higher affirmations. you have the ability to visualize what you want. that’s the key to activate the loa: travel with your fantasy, and visualize what you desire. do you want a new car? imagine yourself doing road-trips on that car. a new phone? visualize yourself making calls with that phone. you can even literally create a story involving those topics and it will come true. you can also help yourself by writing and listening to your own affirmations, maybe covered up by some music. you just have to believe in your power!
and this is the end! thank you again for booking a reading, let me know if you have any questions :) -libramc xx

Why I’m Leaving the Field
Hi everyone!
It’s been quiiiiiiite a while since I’ve posted on here, and I’m really sorry about that! One perk of quarantine is that I’ve had a whole lot of extra free time, so here we are.
In my last post (done almost 2 years ago....how?!), I shared my thoughts on the lack of jobs for dietitians. Well, shortly after posting that, I was fortunate to land a job in the world of inpatient dietetics. It was in my dream area and I was thrilled to a) have a full time job and b) have it be in the area I have my degrees in. In today’s rather pathetic millennial society, I recognize how lucky I am to have a job that fits both of those categories. But anyways, as you can tell by the title of this post, I will (hopefully) be leaving this job, and this field, soon.
I’ll try to keep this post short and sweet, but I have to admit that I never thought I would actually be writing this. I was a young, spry 18 year old when I decided on this career. I was slightly obnoxious over how proud I was for never changing my major and I always knew what I wanted to be when I grew up. Maybe this is payback? I truly thought this was the career for me and I didn’t let anything get in the way of that. There were many times during both undergrad and grad school that I wanted to quit, but I did not let anything get in my way. I was so beyond determined to hurry up and graduate and start my dream career, and I was ecstatic to land the job that I did.
Now that I’m looking back, I realized this career wasn’t for me during my internship. On my second day of my clinical rotations, I cried on my whole drive home. After a whole two days at my rotation site, I knew didn’t chose the right career. I’ve never told ANYONE this because I was so embarrassed that it took me years of schooling to realize that; and here I am, in a coveted and competitive internship, realizing that this wasn’t what I wanted. So, I sucked it up and just told myself I was overreacting, and that there was no way in hell I would quit the internship because I was lucky to be there. It took me quite a while to grapple that idea.
Now, to get to the why am I leaving the field? I’ve been at my job for a while now. Again, I realize, especially now, how fortunate I am to even have a job, let alone contemplate a career change. But, if this helps anyone thinking of becoming a dietitian, then I’m glad I put this out here. Here are the reasons why I am leaving the field:
-We have to get permission for EVERYTHING. This is possibly what bothers me the most. Everyone I work with has advanced degrees, tons of experience, and credentials, yet we have to ask permission to do the very things that we’ve been trained to do. Want to order a vitamin level? Call the doctor. Want to change tube feeds because the patient is off the ventilator? Call the doctor. Want to correct your patient’s diet order? Call the doctor. At my hospital, we are the only group of providers that has to get permission to do anything. I see MDs order speech evals, or PT/OT evals, and they just say “evaluate and treat”. No physical therapist is calling the doctor to see if it’s ok to do this certain exercise on a patient. Even if we get an order for tube feeds, we have to call the doctor (who ordered the consult) to see if, yes, they truly want tube feeds. Doctors don’t have a clue what exercises should be done, just like they don’t know what tube feeds a patient should be on. I’m not slamming doctors at all; that’s why different specialties and careers exist. But why can’t dietitians be treated like other professions? It’s ridiculous to call to get permission to DO OUR JOBS.
-The pay. I knew I wouldn’t be a millionaire as a dietitian, but I didn’t think the pay would be that dismal. Sitting in the office everyday, at least one person complains about not having enough money. Our raises are very small and are automatic; we get them each year whether we are good at our job or not. There are no incentives to perform better. I’m a strong believer in working hard because that’s what you should do, but it gets pretty dang annoying to see people in other careers who get lucrative bonuses for simply doing things required for their jobs. At my workplace, you don’t get extra pay if you get your CNSC/CDE/etc, see extra patients, come in early, or anything else. Your pay doesn’t change except for your yearly raise. Hearing my coworkers complain about money on the daily really starts to get to me, especially after working so hard to get here. A few of my coworkers have worked at my workplace for 30+ years and don’t even come close to making $70k. Hearing that they can’t afford to do needed house repairs, or fix their cars, or even go on vacation with their kids gets really depressing. I even have a coworker who has to give up her shift if her mom can’t watch her kids because she can’t afford to pay for childcare. You wouldn’t think any of those things would be a concern working in healthcare! Dietitians work insanely hard to even become a dietitian, and our jobs are demanding. Our pay needs to reflect that. See my previous post for salary comparisons in healthcare careers. I had a professor in undergrad who said dietitians will only be successful financially if their spouses are the breadwinners. I brushed her comment off at first, but after working in the field, SHE WAS RIGHT. I have a lot of coworkers, and the ones who are truly happy in this field are the ones that have spouses who are breadwinners. Because money DOES matter. I want to be able to take care of myself, buy things I need, fix things that break, and yes, go on vacation. I don’t even have kids yet, but the number of times I’ve already thought about not being able to afford things for them freaks me out. I’ve known dietitians who work for WIC who are on WIC themselves. That is not even slightly ok. I am not shaming those who use WIC; but to be a dietitian and meet the salary requirements for WIC is mind-boggling. Your education is an investment; you want a solid return on that investment. If you’ve ever paid for a dietetic internship, you know exactly what I’m talking about.
-Lack of leadership. Sorry, but I can’t stand the Academy. Using my example of physical therapists again, their “academy” fought for them to raise their pay and to improve the field, and they did. The only advancement in our field is the new “RDN” credential, which, frankly, just brings more confusion on who we are and tacks on the word “nutritionist”, something that 99.9% of dietitians hate being called. The Academy is also requiring all RD’s to have Masters degrees by 2024. I interviewed for quite a few jobs, and having a Masters does nothing for your duties/responsibilities, and results in a very minimal salary adjustment. We can do better. Making it even harder to enter into this field or slightly changing our name won’t help anyone.
-Lack of support for the field. Excluding FNCE, have you ever been to a dietitian conference? They’re usually in a random hall at hospital. Have you ever seen a conference for other health professions? They’re usually at a gorgeous resort on an island. Because of our poor pay, very few dietitians are actually able to support their profession financially. This results in lackadaisical events that are frankly depressing to be at. It’s not about the glitz and glamour; its about supporting the profession and being enthusiastic about it. These events that are held should make people want to join our profession, not run the other way.
-Job outlook. As a clinical inpatient dietitian, I don’t see my exact position being around for much longer. Especially with losses in revenue amongst hospitals due to COVID, I truly (and unfortunately) think this position will eventually be phased out. In my city, a lot of hospitals have already started cutting their clinical inpatient diet techs, and I think dietitians are next. And it kills me to say that, because our job is needed. But since nurses can (and have) been doing our educations, pharmacy can order TPNs, and residents can stumble through ordering tube feeds, I think our job has shifted into the “not really necessary but nice to have” category. Which really, really sucks. But even in the few years I’ve been a dietitian, I’ve seen the shift. I think outpatient and community RD jobs will always be there, but I think inpatient dietitians are going to be a thing of the past very soon. Starting your own business has become more popular. If you can make it work, go for it. There is a dietitian “business coach” who started her own Instagram business after realizing clinical just isn’t where it’s at, and that new clinical jobs are becoming few and far between. And honestly, she’s right. Post-pandemic, look at the number of job opportunities in your area. It’s a shrinking number.
So that’s that. I’m sure this came off as negative, but someone needs to be telling others this. As much as I love nutrition and am passionate about helping those improve their health with nutrition, this career just isn’t worth it. I hope to always use my RD roots in my next career and I don’t regret the years of schooling I’ve done. But if you’re considering this route, I want you to recognize that this career isn’t even close to what your professors have chalked it up to be. If anything, if you are in college right now, GO SHADOW. Shadow inpatient, shadow outpatient, go see what the job is like. See how happy they are in their jobs, learn their salaries, learn what they love, what they don’t love, and truly see if you can see yourself in this job. That’s what I would tell my 18 year old self, and it’s what I’m telling you as well.
xoxo,

HOW TO STOP BINGING
Hey guys,
I see a lot of people who are struggling with binge eating in this Community. And I don't mean the "oh I ate over 1000 calories" binging, I mean the 3.000 -over 10.000 calories binging.
My Story : I always had a fast metabolism and was always the skinny girl who would eat a lot. Then I discoverd the pro-ana community and I thought I could become even skinnier, so I started restricting, but I always stayed over 1000 calories. I lost a lot of weight people where concerned and always commenting on how skinny and unhealthy I looked blablabla, I loved it. But then I would have these cravings and I would eat a lot, so I got back to my starting weight, over the years it got worse because I would try to restrict during the week and always binge on the weekend. Holidays where the worst, because I had no routine and would binge every day. Last year I finshed high school and started a gap year in the USA and maybe going to the US with binge eating disorder was the worst Idea of my life. In the last 8 month I gained over 22 lbs /10 kg. A lot of shit happend at home and I wasn't there, so I would eat my feelings, I would stay in bed for weeks and eat 10 whole meals a day until I thought I would die from a heart attack because I ate so much. I have a 9 to 5 job in an Office right now, so I dont move a lot. Most days I get up go to Work and have lunch, go back home have dinner, eat a lot of Snacks watch TV go to bed. But since a few weeks I am binge free, I still eat too much and not healthy all the time, but it's getting better slowly and I already lost some Weight. So here are my things that help me.
🌻Accept it.
You have Binge eating disorder, Yeah it sucks, and it's gonna happen again! Nothing sucks more than having this anorexic beauty standart /goal in your head, but binge eating at the same time. But this is where we are right now, so accept it. And dont promise yourself to never binge again, this will put you under pressure and you will most likley binge again! Promise yourself to get better.
🥗 Eat healthy.
All this processed food will lead to more cravings and wont make you full. Also healthy food is lower in calories, more nutrional and will make you feel better.
📺 Eat mindful.
Don't eat in front of any media. If you have time prepare your food and eat slowly. I used to eat every meal while watching something on my Phone, to the point where I couldnt watch something without craving food. Yeah eating in silence is boring but it will stop you from over eating. Also dont eat in your room!
🕛Eat regulary
Try to eat at the same time every Day. That doesnt mean you have to eat exactley at 12pm but try to eat around that time. What Works for me is having 3 big meals a day. But there are so many options like 3 meals two snacks etc. Just try to have a routine. It helps especially when you have trouble knowing when you are hungry or full. I try not to eat after 7pm because I know that thats mostly emotional /binge eating. And dont freak out if something unplanned is happening and you can't eat at that certain time. Its ok thats life. Try again tomorrow.
👭Eat with friends.
Especially when you feel like binging. Call a friend, do a sleepover. Eating with others will stop you from eating like a pig. Maybe you will still overeat but at least not until your stomache hurts.
😴 Get enough sleep.
If you lack of sleep your body is trying to get the energy from food, so you will eat more. Try to get 7-9 hours every night. And have a certain bedtime. I had most of my binges after 10pm but if you sleep you can't eat!
🏡 Get out of the house.
If you are at home it's easier to binge. No one is watching you and you have all the food around you. Try to have something to do every Day. Meet with friends, get a hobby. Even if you have work to do, do it somewhere else like the libary.
🙅Avoid Stress.
Bad feelings like stress will lead to binging. If you have a big project to do and you don't know how to start and you procastinate, that will lead to guild and stress. Start early, ask for help, prepare for a binge. Dont let other people Stress you, especially family members love to tell you how many things you should be doing and how far you are behind and how easy it is to do All of this. Its ok, breathe, especially with Depression and an eating disorder it often feels like you are stuck in life and everyone else figured it out. Its not like that! Your trying! As long as you keep trying you are not stuck!!!
👸Don't compare yourself to others!!!!
This is maybe the most improtant one. Dont compare yourself, yes there are people where it seems like there are perfect, they have all this energy and they are good in everything. But who cares? They are not you, you should only compare yourself with yourself. Everything else will make you feel like you can never do it and you will never be good enough. But if you only Focus on your own progress you will get happy and stay motivated.
🐢 Be slow.
Yes I know we all want to see change as soon as possible. But change takes time. Think about where you would be right now if you made slow but constant progress?! Yeah we see all these people who eat under 1000 calories exercise every day and have straight A's. But you tried that right? It worked for a week and then you binge again. Dont overwhelm yourself Start slow. Start with one challange a week. Set yourself realistic Goals. For example exercise 4 times a week. Thats your goal for the week nothing else. You could stay in bed all Day and eat, as long as you exercise 4 times a week. It works, I promise you wont stay in bed all Day, but if your brain thinks you could then it doesnt feel like restricting and you wont binge. Its So weird but the Moment you tell yourself Im gonna binge again and it's ok, you are less likley to binge. The mindset, I never gonna binge again, is the most dangerous.
⭐Dont be a fucking perfectionist!
I told myself so many times Im gonna eat healthy and then I would eat one drop of olive oil and be like fuck it now Im gonna eat 10.000 calories of junk! There are so many diffrend ways to reach your goal! Not this one perfect way. And even the most perfect people are not always perfect. You dont have to be perfect to reach your goal!!!!!!!! Slow progress!!!! Kill your All or nothing mindest!!
🍕Enjoy your binge.
If you are about to binge, keep calm, Trink some water. Call a friend, prepare your binge food, try to make it more healthy, for example vegan junk food or stuff like hummus and Avocado, wich are tasty and high in calories but healthy. Binging on more healthy food will make you feel better than binging on McDonalds and your skin is not going to break out, also it is hader to eat as many calories with healthy food. Enjoy the food, dont just swallow it!
🚫Dont restrict the day after!
It seems so logic right? I binge, now Im gonna starve the next Day. But this will ALWAYS lead to another binge. Dont skip meals! Move on as if nothing happend!
🤸Learn to fill the void
Lets be honest there are only 2 reason why we binge,1. You don't eat enough and your body is trying to get the nutrition. And 2. you're trying to feel better. Tasty food is releasing Dopamin and we feel good, at least while we are eating. But after you binge you feel disgusting and like a failure. So you have to find something else to fill that void. I read once that for every Bad habit you want to break you need 5 good habits. So find something that makes you happy. Start your Day dancing to your favourite songs. Meet with friends. Exercise. Watch your favourite Show without any distraction. Draw. Masturbate :) whatever makes you happy.
🌈Stay motivated.
Remember, progress is slow. Sometimes you wont see any change, your brain will tell you it's not worth it and to just give up. Remember why you started. Keep a tumblr with stuff that inspires and motivates you, but don’t compare yourself with others! Search for people who have the same problems it's not a race, be Kind to each other motivate each other. And don’t use your whole energy for this one goal, focuse on other things in life, time will go faster that way. Dont search for change in the morrior everyday! You got this!
🍑Hope this helps someone. If you have more Tips please share. If you have questions ask me and if you want to chat, message me.
Sorry for my spelling btw.

High Cut Magazine Sept 2019 issue - Interview with Suho
Tumblr media
It's been a year since you met High Cut for the <Student A> photoshoot, what have you been busy with recently?
“It's already been a year? Haha. Although I'm still busy as usual, recently I have been focusing on EXO's concert and album but even then, I feel like my body and heart are more relaxed.”
You recently attended the Jecheon International Music & Film Festival and was awarded the New Discovery award for your role in <Student A>. It seems that your time in Jecheon must have been special.
“Unfortunately I had to go to Hong Kong for a concert but I managed to eat ddeok galbi (grilled rib patty) and greeted the other senior actors and directors. I also met SNSD Sooyoung-noona. It's been over 10 years since we knew each other and we were thrilled to be able to win this award together. It was a short, sweet, and meaningful time.”
Recently you were also appointed as ambassador for Daegu International Music Festival and Suncheon Animal Film Festival. It feels like you are doing activities as a "professional ambassador" and that you really like what you do.
“I really like movies and musicals. It was something that I would definitely do if I had the chance and time do do so. For the last 2 years I couldn't match my schedule with theirs so I couldn't do it. If I can help out even with just a bit I will be glad to let people know of these good movie and musical festivals (through being the ambassador).“
We know that you like movies and musicals. It also seems that you love animals.
“Honestly, I think the environment and animals are more important than people. Even though it's important to take care of those around you, it's even more important to take care of the environment. Nowadays it seems like people think too easily of the environment and animals to the point that they are harming them.“
You have a pet too, a Yorkshire Terrier called Byulie. How is she doing?
“Haha. She's our house pet, so in the past although we spent a lot of time together, nowadays I don’t really get to see her...”
You are gradually expanding your "territories". Taking on the role of EXO's leader well, you are also working hard for acting, musicals, and now even being an ambassador. It seems like you are slowly expanding your spectrum.
“It can be put that way, but I feel that it's even more important to connect all these activities together. Rather than doing well in only one area, it's interesting that all these areas are helping each other. Although I like them all, I also like taking photos as a hobby and I'm interested in paintings but I can't draw at all... even though people tell me to try, I don't think I can do it at all haha.”
Instead of drawing (since you can't draw), why don't you upload some photos that you took yourself instead?
“I would like to do that but I really have no time haha. I'm busy enough with my main job... It's hard enough to take care of my Instagram account, phew!”
Fans definitely know all about Suho's charms, but the general public may see Suho as someone who is goodnatured, upright with a model student image. If we look at Suho closely we may see that he is a someone who has desire to do a lot.
“Should I say that it's due to this model image that has influenced my impression? In reality I have a lot of desire about the things I like and I lead a rather intense life. I'm challenging different genres with EXO activities, and with each new experience I discover a new side to myself, and it seems that the more I (do this) the more greed I have, oh no haha.”
What do you do to unleash this greed and desire?
“Even though it's a rather obvious method, I will plan everything from small goals to big goals, and execute them out calmly and orderly. When I complete a small goal I get a sense of accomplishment and I get a sense of faith and the strength to move towards my big goals. Actually, there's nothing grand about plans. For example, the goal of "I want to get a good figure so that I can show off a cool image for the concert” can make you exercise for one hour everyday. And when you see your body get better each day you will get a sense of accomplishment. After that it becomes 2 months, and when the concert comes you will be able to achieve it. This makes me have a bigger goal of filming an action movie, and it's because of the small goal of exercising everyday that I'm able to have this big goal. If I have to film an action movie right now I'm able to do it because my body is ready. I tend to be someone who makes plans bit by bit so that I can grab the opportunity when it comes.”
In that case, on what do you express the most greed/desire?
“No matter what it's EXO of course. I have been doing movies, musicals, and other works in parallel so that I can concentrate wholly with the members on preparing for the concert/album.”
With D.O. and Xiumin's enlistment, EXO must have felt changes. As the leader you probably must have felt amazed with how things have changed.
“Our maknae Sehun debuted in his teens and is already 25yo (western age), that's how much time has passed. The members have all aged and because of that, we are able to express the maturity well on stage. Also, the members are able to do the music/acting that they want to do, by using their own ways, and I feel proud of that.”
How did you (EXO) fill up the gaps left by the members who enlisted?
“The members have felt as much responsibility as the spaces left by the friends who aren't here, and are doing a good job filling them up. It's to the point where Xiumin, who watched our concert performance from the audience, said "I feel very relieved and that you guys are dependable".”
When is their absence most felt then?
“I think it's when we get together and the number of people seem small. I keep thinking "is everyone here? So strange..." haha. It feels strange and empty.”
We're curious as to what the members said to each other when the two of them enlisted.
“Truthfully we didn't say anything 'deep' nor serious. We just kept telling each other to be healthy. Being healthy is the best.”
GLORY DAY, STUDENT A, RICH MAN, etc, from tainted(?) youth story, coming of age story to romantic comedy, you have acted in a variety of works. Have you thought about what image of Actor Suho to show?
“I haven’t really thought of it. It will be nice if I could tell a story about someone's life. A story about the people we see around us everyday, or a story about an ordinary person whom people just pass by, I think that would be interesting.”
When do you find acting the most fun?
“Probably when I match well with the other actor. It's an experience that you can't get from the stage. There are certain things that can only be seen if you match well with your partner, unlike if you read your script alone. I also find ad-libs and reactions very fascinating and interesting.”
You've done 2 musicals, <The Man Who Laughs> and <The Last Kiss>. Musicals must have another kind of fun then.
“For musicals, because everything is scripted, you have to follow the script. The acting is repetitive, so if you change it and the other party gets flustered, you could become a nuisance. But if you plan and do everything as promised, you can present something different each time. That's a special kind of fun.”
Are you someone who searches online for feedback from the public? If you are, do you pay more attention to the singing or acting activities?
“I tend to look for feedback on both. If I were to say the difference between the two, it would be that since in EXO there are the other members and we are seen as a team, I don't know if I'm doing well, and even if I make a mistake it can get covered. We depend on each other and have great synergy, but on the other hand for acting, I'm 100% seen alone. It's more burdensome no matter I get praised or criticised because their focus is on me.”
You're spending the last few years of your 20s. What do you talk about with your friends? You probably talk about how the front digit of your age is changing, like any other youths?
“Because I started school early, most of my friends are already 30 this year. Which is why I feel like I'm already 30, and I don't feel any burden about my age. Rather, I think because of our jobs we talk about acting or our works. Also, because we all love to travel around, "this place is good", "this is exotic", we tend to talk a lot about such places. Because we don't really have time to go play together, we will send each other photos that we took, and talk about it together.”
Even then, you probably must have talked about how you're ageing.
“We keep dreaming about something, executing it, and keep doing something innovative and creative. If we do this I don't think age will matter. Honestly because everyone is taking good care of themselves be it looks or the mind, everyone is getting younger overall. Now people tend to live longer past the age of 100. But if there's one thing I'm worried about, it's the fact that I can't catch up with youtube...”
Seems like you're not a "youtube human"?
“Haha honestly I can't see what's fun about it, and compared to reading words, you can skip parts of videos. But I get this weird worry(?) that I will miss out something important if I skip the video. I also don't like the fact that time seems to fly when you watch youtube videos. I have to watch movies, dramas, and do many other things... which is why I can't get interested in it haha.”
You have an analogue side too I see. Is this why you previously told us that you will definitely make time to watch movies? At that time, you recommended <Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri> and <The Shape of Water>. Is there any recent movie that you want to recommend?
“Recently I've been watching at least 3 movies per week regardless of genre haha. If it's a new recommendation I want to recommend <Park Hwayoung> and <Delta Boys>. They are movies that reflect the current reality well. <Park Hwayoung> is something that made me feel hurt badly. <Delta Boys> is a movie that I think will give good energy to ordinary people. It's an interesting movie that makes you smile. Even though both have been released for some time, if you haven't watched it I recommend you to do so.”
Summer is almost over. What kind of autumn does Suho hope it will be?
“Hmmm (trying to think of an original expression)... it'll be nice if the pretty colours, as red and yellow as maple leaves, could dye me gently. Also, it would be great if I could become even more matured, that would be a really fruitful autumn.”

Favorite characterization of Dick Grayson
What's your favorite era or writer for Dick Grayson?  What characterizations do you like or dislike?
Here are my opinions.  I may ramble a bit. Sorry about that.
You can skip this paragraph if you don't care how I ended up here and which comics I’ve read  - it's not particularly important, I just wanted to share.  First, while previously having seen on-screen versions of Dick Grayson, and read a bit of DickBabs fanfic (Batman: TAS sold me on them before the show went directions I loathe), I never actually read any issues of DC until 2015ish.  Had been a Marvel girl because they didn't do reboots, but then they destroyed Peter Parker's marriage and rebooted the universe, so I abandoned comics for a while.  But then I saw some reruns of Young Justice cartoon.  So I read some fic.  Many fics incorporated comic characters.  There I discovered Spoiler, who I really liked the idea of as Spoiler (someone who works against Batman's wishes and doesn't obey his orders and refused to back down, but isn’t a killer).  So I read the Robin series for the first 100+ issues (quitting when I knew War Games was near because the storyline sounded bad).  But that made me decide to read the Nightwing comic that stared in that era.  Really liked that, and really liked Dick Grayson (on-screen portrayals had already lead me to favor him).  Then Birds of Prey, Dixon-era, too.  Then, because I liked Dick, the Original and New Teen Titans. Original was too Silver Age for me, but really enjoyed 1980-1986ish New Teen Titans (thought it went downhill after that, and abandoned when I reached 1990 issues).  Also read assorted Golden, Silver, and Bronze Age comics.  So I have relatively broad, but very shallow knowledge of most Bat-eras, with more in-depth knowledge of the '90s and much less of post-2000 (mostly fic, which isn't always representative of the comic).
While I have opinions on various Bat and non-Bat characters and storylines, I'm starting with Dick here. He was my favorite. It's so dependent on writing (as is ever character), and right now he’s Ric, and that is something I’m not interested in.
While I absolutely like aspects from other eras, and I dislike some aspects from these eras, my favorite time periods for Dick are probably 1980-1986ish and 1996-2000.  There’s some good 70s stuff and I like certain dynamics of him as guardian/mentor to Damian (and some stuff with other family), but as whole, these two eras in his titles (Teen Titans and Nightwing) are my favorites.  For his characterization as stand-alone (rather than his relationships with other characters).
Golden and silver age Dick merit a bit less discussion. Characters weren’t as distinct from each other back then.  Nor, really, as consistent.  But Dick was sometimes regarded as quite a mature young man in the golden age.  Responsible, good grades, intelligent, etc.  But so was Speedy - like I said, not much distinction.  Despite some impressions, in the stories I read I did not notice Robin to make lots of puns or be unusually cheery and smiley.
Come to the mid-60s and Dick was so much a teenager. I mean the original Teen Titans fairly scream with it early on (so much slang, really folks). One writer I didn’t like had him behave like an idiot (I’m not the only one who thought so, judging by the letters pages, though opinions were split).  Really, though, in the early original Teen Titans it felt like writer(s) were trying to push the “teen” thing too much, and they sometimes came off like caricatures.  But it was a time in comics when stories and characterizations were shifting and there were, IMO, both failures and successes in trying to embrace new and different.
The ‘70s were okay. Some bits I liked, and some I didn‘t. Dick is usually responsible in Detective Comics stories. He did a little bit of playing the play-boy (with Silver), which isn’t my speed, since I like the idea that Dick, unlike Bruce, doesn’t put on a facade in day-to-day life.  Had a few girlfriends - very normal and not either stunningly celibate or shockingly promiscuous. Though the entire 70s was one year of college for Dick.
I am not at all fond of the "goofy" Dick that seems to have popped up fairly often in the past 20 years.  They often seemed to have seriously dampened his brainpower and detective skills (because Tim is the smart one and the detective and for some reason they can’t both be that).  I’m not a fan of separate out all Batman’s skills and assigning one to each Robin. It makes the Robins all less than Batman and inferior to him and sets that they will never be his equals and that I do not agree with. Now this is by no means a *consistent* thing, but it does happen, and it does irritate me.  I don’t like seeing characters diminished.
I really love old-school Dick.  Back when he was young (late '70s to mid '80s), they showed us how mature he was (probably to contrast his youth and make him a viable peer to older heroes).  Both Wally and Roy commented on it. Roy said how he always felt so much younger (issue where he got custody of Lian).  Wally though Dick was always on top of things (Kory and Donna knew better).  Heck, Terry's (Donna's ex) bachelor party was another fine example how much more of an adult he was than some men twice his age.  He was pretty cerebral, a fantastic detective, a good fighter, etc.  He could hang out and have fun, too, of course. He wasn't a stick-in-the-mud.  He was too closed off and unwilling to talk sometimes (moreso with his team, and perhaps because he thought he needed to project confidence as a leader?).  He was, in a reverse, quite willing to talk about other people's emotional issues.   Sometimes as a friend, and sometimes as a leader.  He behaved most immaturely when dealing with Batman, particularly as their relationship became more difficult - there were times when they brought out the worst in each other. Though it wasn't steady, of course.
We really got to see Dick as a leader in this era. Someone people respected and looked up to.  Not that his team always agreed with him or that he was always right, but that but that he was a person that people did have trust in. And that he usually did a good job of deserving it.  It’s not just other teenagers, though, but the older heroes respect him as well.  It’s also the first time we a real, substantive romance - with Kory.  Saw where he floundered and how he loved, and such.  Which I thought worked well until it reached a point where I thought it needed to end, and it didn’t (or rather it did end, but didn’t stay ended).  Readers who like the ship, though, will likely have a different perspective, if they are like me (I just blame the writing when this sort of thing happens with ships I prefer).
Batman: Year Three - not the best story.  I don't remember most of it, to be honest.  But one thing I really liked was the highlighted difference between Bruce and Dick.  It hits that Dick is more emotionally healthy than Bruce. That Dick had the emotional support Bruce lacked as a child (I don't think continuity had yet settled on the idea of Alfred as a father-figure to Bruce).  That could segue me into changes in Bruce's backstory and characterization, but I'll refrain.  I will say that I preferred Dick with the nice-nuns orphanage to Dick-in-juvenile-facility (though I really, really like Dixon's run on Nightwing).  It makes Bruce less of a "rescuer" of Dick, which I prefer. I do not like the idea that Dick was doomed to end up dead on street (or a criminal) if not for Bruce.  Though I admit to preferring old-school Dick-goes-directly-to-Bruce's-home, no matter how unrealistic.  I dislike the entire Talon thing even more. I hate the back-projecting of more angst and more terrible things, like his parents being murdered wasn't bad enough.
Now we come to Nightwing series. I  really liked Dixon's run.  I'm a DickBabs fan, so seeing them get together was great.  I did read he wanted Dick/Donna, and I'm glad that didn't happen.  Partially because I'm a DickBabs fan, but also because I really, really liked the platonic friendship between Dick and Donna during the New Titans.  And I liked that it was platonic and that a friendship - rather than romance - could be so very important.  I don't think friendships get near the credit they should as important relationships in fiction, and so often fans want them to be romantic.  And the older I get, the more I value good fictional friendships and sibling relationships and so on.  For the record, I also really liked the Vic/Gar friendship. And I still tend to think of Donna, rather than Wally as Dick's BFF. Though he has many friends.
Anyway, I really liked seeing Dick working on his own and having his own city.   He was finding his own path and his rogues were being developed. I liked the idea of him as a cop, and I enjoyed Amy. I liked a lot of his banter with Barbara. But not just the banter, the serious stuff. Dick was looking for a real, long-term, serious relationship.  And Barbara was the hesitant one - for understandable reasons.   It's an everyday reminder of the things they used to do together.  Things he can do that she no longer can.  And she really wants to.
Of course, in this era, he was totally a big brother to Tim, a relationship he never really had with Jason (post-crisis).  Now, Bruce's character was becoming worse and worse in this era, so that provided some conflict for Dick.  Early in the series, Bruce wasn't that bad yet, and he and Dick had some nice bonding/reconciling moments.  And so some of the issues were just on Dick's side.  He has, since at least the Titans days, had a persistent need to prove himself Batman's equal.  To others and to Batman. I was kinda peeved with Donna when she said he'd never be as good. He thinks Bruce thinks less of him on occasions when Bruce doesn't. But Bruce still treats him like an underling a good portion of the time.  He expects Dick to take orders with no questions and doesn't give him full details of plans and doesn't listen to his opinions or consider Dick's needs.  Way too often, Bruce just puts his goal ahead of everyone else.  That's an issue with Bruce.  But Dick feels like it's Bruce not seeing him as equal.  Which it is, IMO, but mostly in the sense that Bruce tends to put himself/his goal above all others in terms of importance (a problem that has only gotten worse with time).
I wasn't real fond back-projection/retconning of the Dick/Babs relationship over the years. Or her de-aging.  I like her at least 4 years older than Dick.  With no involvement when he was in highschool.  Flirtation when he was in college (1970s Batman family issues), sure, but nothing really happening until he's in Bludhaven and in his mid 20s and the 5-7 year age gap doesn't matter because they're both adults.  I much prefer her pre-crisis background with Batman to the post-crisis one, but that's a topic for my post on her.
Then the Devin Grayson era - I don't agree with all the positions of the author, but I do agree about Devin Grayson: http://theflyingwonder.tumblr.com/post/107703923021/you-made-me-curious-and-i-couldnt-resist-it-tell and I think way too many of her aspects stuck with the character.  Which I guess makes her a success, but doesn't work for me at all, because I don't like the character she describes at all and he is not Dick to me. I've read her interview on Dick Grayson and her perception of the character was just nothing like mine. She acts like he's not a thinker (even though got called too cerebral in the old days).  She acts like Dick either "fights or fucks" everyone he meets, and totally disregards so many other types of relationships. Now, the Mirage-rape had already happened (and was horribly handled), plus the Raven-mind-controllish thing (also didn't work for me), but Grayson made Dick the sleeps-around type.  That was specifically contradictory to earlier characterizations where Dick was the committed-relationship type - something he actually discussed with Roy at one point.  I liked Dick being a relationship-only guy, it was a big contrast with Bruce (particularly post-Crisis Bruce).  I don't like Dick being Batman-lite at all.
Not Devin Grayson, but Nightwing Annual #2 - ghastly. So incredibly out of character for who Dick was back then.   Another not-my-review at http://theflyingwonder.tumblr.com/post/93534635531/can-you-explain-the-nightwing-annual-2-thing. Though I would go further in that it's  reason I don't like post-Kory’s-political-wedding Dick/Kory.  It felt like a lot of build up to "love isn't enough" and then he basically chunked his beliefs to stay with her, which makes the relationship a bad thing to me. Here's my less-well-worded thoughts when I read the wedding. http://tzigone.tumblr.com/post/170389768364/nightwing-and-starfire
So, Dick's life in Bludhaven was destroyed.  His life as independent hero was destroyed.  I enjoyed Dick with the Titans, but him in Gotham is a no-go to me.  Because he goes back to being an appendage of Bruce.  He's working in someone else's city, he's a subordinate (at least with Bruce is actually there).
I haven't read as much of the Dick/Damian relationship as I maybe should have.  While interested in their dynamic, I'm not keen on Dick's wider characterization.  I do not like lothario-Dick.  And I do not like Batman-lite Dick.  So I deeply disliked him taking Robin from Tim and giving it away without discussing it, just like Bruce did to him.   Yeah.  To top that off, I unlike many, did not like the first 12 issues of Red Robin, so there wasn't even pay-off.  And then later we'd get Dick faking his death and hurting his family for the sake of the mission (Batman's mission).  Too Batman-like. I do get incredibly frustrated with that no matter how badly he treats them, Bruce's "kids" keep coming back and following his orders.  I didn't like his non-masked storyline, in N52, either. Sadly, at least Barbara (who I don’t like being a student of Bruce’s), Dick, and Tim have all adopted some of Bruce’s worse traits in regards to secrets and manipulation at one point or another.
But my biggest thing is that Dick all to often (not always, but even once is too often) gets treated like a joke. He's the lovable brother, and that part is okay. But he's all cuddles and cartoons and Disney and most of his maturity is just gone.  This is heavy in fic, but it's present in the comics, too.  At 19 he was man, and now he's a man-child. Not when he's working, I mean, but in personal life.  Lex Luthor says he's not a big thinker and some people agree. And that is just totally wrong to me.  For me Dick, while far from perfect, is a person that has earned and has respect not only from his peers, but from the first-generation heroes.  And it just gets worse later.  Late Pre-Crisis they de-age him and he's 21 in N52 (when it starts anyway). And I hated his de-aging, and Barbara's.  It feels like they're being drug backwards and not allowed to grow up. Even though Barbara *started* grown up and Dick had pretty much been a man even during his endless year at Hudson.  I don't like the idea of Dick as someone people don't take seriously. Bart or Booster, maybe is someone villains don't take seriously, but should. But Dick, at least as he reaches his adult years, should be someone that people (villains and colleagues) do take seriously and respect.  Thought without the intimidation Batman has, at least with criminals.  I will say I do think it was done partially to keep Batman from getting too old to do the job, but I still don’t care for it.
Don’t get me started on Dick and what he thought was Bruce’s body and the Lazarus pit.
I thought the entire issue with Dick and Bruce after Bruce’s failed wedding was bad.  Dick tries to be the goofball. They try to redeem it at the end, but it falls flat because he was stupid enough to think it would help in the first place.
Some people seem to think it's the sweetest thing ever if Dick moves back to Gotham and lives in the manor and Bruce takes care of him, and that's just a no-go to me.  It's infantilizing. He's grown up and should be allowed to grow up.  I see a lot of infantilizing of Dick, Jason, Tim and Damian.  I get why it's done (to see Bruce the dad), but dislike it intensely.  It's demeaning to me. I like Bruce the dad, too. But he can be a dad to adult children and treat them like adults (well, the grown ones). And yes, like equals, but that it what I think the relationship between adult parents and children should be.  Though it’ll be a long time before Bruce gets to a point where he’ll consistently do that.
Side note: the comments on Dick's body get a little old.  I totally get that he's stunning.  I'm cool with Kory or Barbara or his current girlfriend enjoying his body or complimenting him on it.  But sometimes it seems like various characters (usually female) are discussing him like a piece of meat. Particularly frustrating when his hero colleagues do so.  I know a good bit of this comes with me binge-reading, making it seem more often than when issues are read a month apart.

Life is Strange: Before the Storm Game Review (7.5 / 10)
Tumblr media
**SPOILER ALERT** (If you’d like to avoid spoilers, but still receive my input on the game, the Intro and Final Thoughts will always remain spoiler free.)
Intro:
I was recently speaking with a friend who described herself as “anti-video game.” When I asked her about it, she responded with the common belief that she found them a waste of time. In a market dominated by MOBAs and Battle Royales, I decided to make my case for video games from the narrative side of things, asking her if she had heard of (the original) Life is Strange game. She hadn’t, but immediately wanted to know why it was any different, why it wasn’t a waste of time, and how it changed / impacted me for the better.
I explained to her that Life is Strange reminded me of the great struggles each and every person faces. It shed light on the everyday ways, big and small, that I could help make burdens lighter for others. It reminded me that every choice in life matters, and not only did it show me ways to love, but it inspired me to love better, to cherish every beautiful moment, and to be grateful for every person whose life touches mine, or at the very least not to take their presence for granted. Needless to say, after our conversation, she was very interested in playing the game.
This power to change me is what made the first Life is Strange so great, and additionally what made me so eager jump into the 2017 prequel series, Life is Strange: Before the Storm. However, from its early stages, developer Deck Nine made it clear that Before the Storm would be a different game, and after playing it, I found that indeed it was. In some ways it surprised and thrilled me, and in other ways it returned to that same nostalgia I missed from the original game. There were, of course, also some elements of the game I would have done differently. I’ll give my thoughts on the game below, focusing mostly on its narrative elements, and as always leave a summarized TLDR (spoiler free!) version in the Final Thoughts section. Thanks for giving me a read, and here’s to making and playing the best games possible!
What Worked:
Tumblr media
Effectively chronicles the evolution of Chloe. Before the Storm (BTS) takes the player through key events of Chloe’s past, which made her into the familiar blue haired punk from the original Life is Strange (LIS 1). It explores flashbacks and dream sequences of her father’s death and Max’s departure, all while showcasing other significant moments of Chloe’s formation: David’s moving in, her expulsion from Blackwell, and, of course, the relationship with Rachel Amber, powerful enough to break her by its ending. Every step along the way of Chloe’s path seems appropriate and motivated, and it’s fascinating to witness the moments that make Chloe who she is when you meet her in LIS 1. It’s well done, and something I really enjoyed.
Tumblr media
Equally satisfying paths of friendship and romance. Just like in the original game, BTS unapologetically allows the relationship between its strong female protagonists to take a romantic turn. However, in an even braver move, the game also allows the player to have them remain friends, sending the story down a path no less developed or fulfilling. In a world where saying "we're just friends" is a strategy for rejecting unwanted lovers and the friend zone is something to be dreaded (speaking from personal experience are we?), this series continues to advocate for emotional intimacy in friendships, inspiring us to go deeper, love better and in a more supportive way, reminding us how life-giving (and often under appreciated) our friendships can be. This was a thematic thread I was hoping to see expanded upon from the LIS I, and once again, Deck Nine didn't disappoint.
Tumblr media
Beautifully interwoven symbols & motifs. Pay close attention to anything related to ravens, fire, eyes, or lying. These all start small, but build powerfully and are visited throughout, tying the story together. The game also revisits images from LIS 1: the doe, storm, totem pole, squirrels, etc. drawing parallels between the games through these symbols (Chloe’s raven to Max’s doe - the storm to the wildfire). And while Max left her mark on the world through her photography, Chloe prefers a more literal approach. Her graffiti pen tags (along with her outfit selections) allow the player to further interact with these symbols, in addition to making fun collectibles to hunt down. It was really neat to notice these little details which the writers and designers crafted with care, and it definitely added to the impact of the story.
Tumblr media
A nostalgic return to Arcadia Bay. The contrast of new adventures unfolding in familiar locations was a really neat element of the prequel series. The game provides the player with plenty of moments to simply take in their surroundings alongside a killer soundtrack (more on that later), and I definitely took advantage of it, especially in Chloe’s room, Frank’s RV, the junkyard, and all over Blackwell. It was so evocative just to see these places again, and interesting to get Chloe’s reflections on them. Like Chloe, these places also evolve as her backstory plays out (e.g. junkyard hangout room, Chloe’s truck) providing the player with a deeper understanding of the LIS 1 world’s origins.
Tumblr media
The soundtrack. Deck Nine placed their game’s music in different hands than Dontnod, but ones no less apt. Daughter did an amazing job creating haunting, emotional, nostalgic, atmospheric songs to accompany Chloe’s journey, both diegetic (like Skip’s song) and not. The game also features other singles like Speedy Ortiz’s “No Below,” which perfectly capture what Chloe’s going through at this point in her life. It’s a soundtrack I simply had to purchase after playing through the game, and when I’m out and about and the songs come up on shuffle, I’m immediately taken back. I almost start expecting to see objects highlighted in white as I look at them.
Tumblr media
Morally and philosophically thought provoking themes. Of course, like LIS 1, the game explores friendship, love, care, and trust, but overall, the central question the game asks is: Is it better to protect someone you love with a lie, or honor them with the truth? Whether or not lying, or concealing the truth, is always wrong is a very interesting question, and it’s one I’ve thought a lot about (I’m actually working on a theology essay about it - but that’s another blog). And, while it’s a question other games have explored (I’m looking at you, The Last of Us) the game provides a unique take on the question by having the player answer it with his/her final choice, ending the game with a more philosophical but significantly less dramatic choice than LIS 1, but nonetheless thought provoking in its own right.
What Got in the Way:
Tumblr media
Chloe resists player shaping too much, much more than Max. With Max, I felt like her power of time control was in my hands. I could wield it for mischief, exact my justice as judge, jury, and executioner, or show mercy and love. Also, this power combined with the game’s mechanic of allowing you to restart from any point in the story made it easier to play Max right, ensuring that her story played out the way you wanted it to. Naturally, without Max’s time powers, Chloe’s decisions weigh more and are harder to undo. While this choice was intentional on behalf of the studio, rather than teaching me something about Chloe or life, I just wound up Googling the results of the choices more often or regretting not doing so as I’m smashing buttons, desperately trying to skip cut-scenes after loading a previous save. Basically, reversing your choices is way too tedious. Before you make a choice, get ready to live with it.
Tumblr media
Too many unconnected dots between BTS and the original game. While BTS uncovers much of LIS 1’s backstory, it still leaves many questions unanswered. For example, what kind of relationship did Rachel have with Frank? Or, how did Rachel first become involved with Nathan’s photography experiment gone-wrong? These were things I was expecting to understand before the game’s end, and I was surprised to see the credits roll first. If it were up to me, I would have gone through all of that and ended the game just after the start of LIS 1, when Chloe reunites with Max.
Tumblr media
Humanizes the villains until there’s no one left to hate. Almost. At one point or another in the game, Chloe comes up against Drew, David, Principal Wells, Nathan, Mr. Prescott, Mr. Amber, Sheldon, and Damon as adversaries. With the exception of Damon, who is this game’s Mr. Jefferson (the creepy bad guy who’s evil to be evil) the game attempts to generate sympathy for nearly every antagonist. For example, Drew’s only a mean drug dealer because he’s trying to financially support his little brother and dad. David really cares about Chloe and Joyce, but he lost his best friend in the army. Wells is just trying to protect the school, Nathan was bullied into his perversions, Mr. Prescott loves Rachel too much and is trying to protect her, etc. Sheldon’s genuinely a creep but if you give him what he deserves and tell Damon he’s a snitch, you have to read his desperate texts begging for Mercy.
I actually think the game did a great job humanizing certain characters (David, Drew, Mr. Amber), but I think it was confusing to try to arouse sympathy in the player for Nathan, for example, before his commits his terrible crime. What really put me over the edge was finding a letter in the hospital from Nathan’s dad where he offers to anonymously cover Mikey’s hospital costs. We see him bullying his son, he’s supposed to be the reason Nathan turns to his evil ways, and yet we’re supposed to believe deep down he’s really a good guy?
I get the point. Real people aren’t black and white, good and evil, it’s always more complicated than that. Still, I would draw a distinction between understanding why someone is evil and actually feeling bad for them, and instead of cheapening his power as a threat, I would have left Mr. Prescott among the Darth Sidiouses of Before the Storm.
Tumblr media
Initially jarring change of voice actors. It just so happens that I began playing Guerrilla Games’ Horizon: Zero Dawn as I started BTS, so I felt like Chloe pulled a Scooby-Doo: The Movie and transported her soul into Aloy’s body, (Ashly Burch voices Chloe in the original game and the protagonist of Horizon: Zero Dawn - quite excellently, in fact) but the change in voice actors shook me up at first. Though it seems like Deck Nine made an effort to get most of the original voice actors, you’ll notice the new voices for David and Chloe. This seems to be the result of a SAG-AFTRA strike, so it wasn’t really under anyone’s control, but still, it would have been nice to have the same actor for the game’s main character. Took me about an episode to get over it and used to it.
Tumblr media
Ends on a sour note. Chloe’s relationship with Rachel made Before the Storm one of the most beautiful stories I’d experienced, and it almost ends on a nostalgic note, panning through photographs that capture their memories together. Instead, the game ends in that infamous dark room where Rachel is drugged and photographed before her murder, with Chloe’s missed calls blowing up her phone. This immediately ripped me from the warm, reflective feeling I experienced over Chloe and Rachel and instead brought back the rage and disgust I had for Nathan and Mr. Jefferson. Whether by ending the game when Chloe meets Max (as I’ve suggested earlier), or ending it on Chloe’s last moments with Rachel, maybe even allowing them to exchange some touching (final - as the player knows it) words, I would’ve ended the game in the mood it so effectively created where I felt both sad to let Rachel go, and grateful for the mark she made on Chloe. Ending it on that final scene seemed like a missed opportunity.
Final Thoughts: (Rating: 7.5/10)
Tumblr media
For players who’ve never experienced Life is Strange before, I’d recommend starting with the original series. For those who enjoyed the game, Before the Storm is a definite should-play. It’s worth it for the return to Arcadia Bay’s landscapes and characters alone, but you’ll also discover what Blackwell looked like before Max, who the mysterious Rachel Amber really was, why nearly everyone adored her, and what transformed Chloe from Max’s pirate-obsessed childhood best friend into the blue-haired girl waving a gun around in the girl’s bathroom. However, if you’re expecting it to be too much like the first game, you may be disappointed. To get the most out of it, I’d recommend trying to step into Chloe’s shoes and playing the character as true to herself as possible, rather than trying to shape her choices according to your own preferences. Allow yourself to act impulsively, make mistakes, and brace for the consequences. Undoing Chloe’s actions proves a lot more tedious than those of the time-traveling Max, so try to do it right the first time. Oh, and don’t expect too many answers. You’ll get plenty of great ones, but just like the native spirits of the raven and doe, they have to leave some mysteries unsolved. In the words of Rachel Amber, “life needs a little mystery,”  and after all, it’s mystery that makes life strange.

the most intelligent and approachable capricorn decan. you’re a vivacious person, yet your heavy capricorn influence may make you feel restricted to share your vitality with others. others’ first impression of you is that you look like some sort of authority, someone who needs to be respected. even when you’re joking, you still have this seriousness to your aura that is hard to go unnoticed. you care about your manners, and just your overall impression in general. you may take extra care of your clothes, your makeup, hair etc. you don’t want to look disorganized, in fact you probably own an agenda or even just write your appointments somewhere. you have a cautious approach to the world, you’re very responsible, especially when people you love are involved. you may have a resting bitch face, even though your bubbly gemini dominance probably helps you mitigate this. generally speaking, you still have a serious look on your face that looks quite intimidating. you also look introverted, and you most probably are when you don't feel at ease / confident. you’re very modest, and that’s because you’re secretly kind of insecure about your appearance. you always feel like you’re not enough, and that you constantly have to improve yourself to be accepted. this gets better with time, though. physically, you’re probably very beautiful and don’t realize it! especially with your scorpio midheaven. you may have an amazing bone structure, with high cheekbones, a defined jawline and naturally straight, pleasant teeth. you may probably also have an amazing posture and walk, even though you may suffer from scoliosis or other bones diseases in your early years. you could also be naturally skinny, you gain muscles easily, and there may be something smaller on your face. it could be your lips, your eyes, your nose, etc.
capricorn ascendant opposite cancer venus: this aspect makes you more sociable and prone to interact with people than the other capricorn risings. you’re also most probably very attractive, people are naturally drawn to you. the downside of this placement is that you may suffer from self-esteem issues, as you really care about others’ impression of you. maybe you’re a little bit clumsy too. it’s easy for you to gain popularity, but be careful as it’s not always good. popularity brings scandals too, so people you see in your everyday life could possibly start gossips around you. the good thing about this aspect is that you emanate loyalty, so you usually attract and choose loyal and trust-worthy partners. this placement may also bring issues and problems in marriage with your future partner, even though I don’t think it’s your case. your venus is well-placed, so I don’t think there’ll be serious problems, especially since it's conjunct jupiter, the most beneficial and lucky planet.
🌞 sun in gemini, 17° / 2nd decan ruled by mercury and venus
with your sign in the mutable sign of gemini, you are a very light-hearted, chill individual. you're very bright and bubbly, you have amazing communication skills and also an entertaining sense of humor that is able to light up the room. you're very sociable, you like interacting with others, even though I assume that with your heavy earth energy in your chart, you find it hard to let this side of you out, especially with people you don't feel comfortable with. since gemini is a mutable sign, you most likely have tons of interests and hobbies, they're so many that you find it hard to keep up with all of them, despite being extremely good at multi-tasking. in fact, you're particularly intelligent and thirsty for knowledge. you like learning about everything, you love looking and being smart. it's your way to feel empowered and proud of yourself. you always need freshness in your daily life, you cannot stand boredom. because of that, you may often change your ideas, your hobbies, your favourite singer, etc. sometimes, you could even apply this to friends and lovers, and people may consider you unloyal or not much serious because of that. in addition, you get easily very anxious and stressed, to the point that you may seem dramatic to others. you may also get scared easily, even though you try to stay collected thanks to your taurus moon.
gemini sun conjunct gemini saturn: you probably find it hard to relate to your sun sign for now, as saturn's strict energy limits you from fully letting your gemini saturn shine. this will get better as time goes by, though. probably, when you were younger, you used to be extremely shy and insecure of your own worth. geminis are very talkative, but it could be that you didn't talk much for example. even now, you may be more introverted than extroverted, but you'll start opening up more as you grow older. you just need to be mature to be fully aware of your potential and your talents. in fact, you feel like you constantly need to prove yourself. you literally go extreme, just because you feel the need to show the best version of you to the world. there's an inner fighter in you, which makes you feel that you can never reach the top. saturn represents the father figure in astrology, so maybe he's the cause of these issues, or overall he influence your personality a lot. you may also resemble him more than your mother. you had to grow up earlier than other kids, and you may find yourself more at ease around elder people.
🌙 moon in taurus, 14° / 2nd decan ruled by venus and saturn
the moon is exalted in taurus, so it's definitely a good placement! you're very peaceful, you try to avoid conflicts when you can. taurus' most striking feature is that they crave stability, whether it's financial, in love etc., which I find extremely good since gemini finds it hard to commit to something and be consistent. you must be very stubborn, as taurus is a fixed sign. this placement, paired up with your creative gemini energy, makes you settle on making your ideas concrete, and it's very beneficial. it makes you capable of achieving any goals in your life. you're also very artsy, and you may fancy particular art styles. you have a good eye for aesthetics, and you care a lot about the looks of your house, body, clothes etc. you have excellent concentration, and that is another thing that helps you achieve your goals and make your ideas concrete. last but not least, you're amazingly patient, and that makes you a great friend. probably, they vent a lot of their worries to you, as you're also a great listener.
taurus moon square aquarius neptune: this placement gives you a bit more empathy than an ordinary taurus moon. you could have escapism tendencies, such as oversleeping, overeating etc., and you could play the victim quite often. you have a strong bond with your mother, which pretty much shaped your ideals now that you're an adult. the problem with this aspect is that due to your earth energy, you tend to repress and hide your sensitivity, along with the rest of your emotions. this isn't an healthy behaviour, which will eventually lead you to feel different from others. you don't have to tell everyone how you feel, but try to find someone trustworthy and vent to them. you will feel much more comfortable in the world.
🗣 mercury in gemini, 1° / 1st decan ruled by mercury
mercury is in its natural place in gemini, your whole chart flows very well! you have great problem-solving skills, you are extremely intelligent and astute. when you were younger, you probably used to be the winner at games like hide-and-seek. this placement also enhances your thirst for knowledge of any kind, you want to learn at least a little about anything, from science to foreign cultures. yet, since you want to learn so many things all at once, you may lack precision and be a little bit superficial. on the other hand, you're a fast learner, and since mercury is placed in the 4th house, a water house, you may also be very intuitive. you may often find people predictable, but in reality you're just ahead of them. you're also very open-minded, even though you still rely more on logic, not like your sister sign is sagittarius. yet, it's easy for you to be flexible in your day-to-day life, you don't have to follow a schedule to have everything under control, even though you may often suffer from stress and headaches due to this lack of organization. you may have a very youthful and positive voice, you just give off good vibes, you know? mercury is also retrograde, so you may have troubles communicating your thoughts in a clear and understandable way. due to this, people may misunderstand your ideas and opinions and viceversa. you're more introspective, you're better at thinking than speaking, which may make you more of a listener.
❤️ venus in cancer, 22° / 3rd decan ruled by the moon and neptune
when it comes to love, you're extremely affectionate. you need someone who connects to you emotionally, it matters way more than physical attraction. in a partner you look at their manners, not at their appearance, and hence you're probably not the type to fall in love at first sight. you most likely dream of building a family with your future spouse, you want to be a parent not only to your child but also to your spouse. you like nurturing others, you may be attracted to younger or even immature people that need to be 'saved' by someone to become mature, or perhaps you're the one who craves to be nurtured in a relationship. you probably love being called 'baby', 'honey', 'sweetheart'... this type of names that you find extremely sweet. you may also get clingy at times, as you're most likely very fond of pda and skinship as well. the downside to this placement is that cancer brings sensitivity to whatever placement occupies. that means that you get extremely sensitive when it comes to love, and hence you may be the type to get extremely sad, even depressed, after a break-up, or perhaps you could start caring more about your partner's feelings than yours, becoming quite accommodating, so beware of that now that you know it. don't forget to keep your individuality safe.
cancer venus conjunct cancer jupiter: this placement makes you extremely likeable, and it's a very beneficial placement considering your capricorn rising. you're probably quite popular, or at least you're very appreciated wherever you go. not only you're physically attractive, but you're also very friendly and charismatic, which makes it impossible not to notice you. you despise conflicts and chaotic situations in general, you're very peaceful. perhaps, to have fun you prefer using creative and artistic outlets rather than going out. with venus being conjunct to jupiter, you tend to attract more positivity in your life. you could be extremely lucky in love, or just date a lot of people in general. you may also be attracted to foreigners rather than people from your natal country, and you may marry someone from abroad.
☄️ mars in cancer, 7° / 1st decan ruled by the moon
in life, you have the need of feeling grounded and stable. you want to feel secure, and that makes you think deeply about your decisions, you don’t rush them. you’re not much impulsive, you think deeply about what to do and / or say, you are very cautious. this sense of being careful makes you quite indecisive, especially since you also have your sun in the sign of gemini, a sign that easily gets overwhelmed by all the things it wants to do, and hence it ends up being indecisive. you may change your mind often, or perhaps it takes you a lot to finally make a decision because you kept changing your mind. you tend to try and be collected whenever someone is getting on your nerves, but your feelings are extremely intense to totally bottle them up. you either get slightly passive-aggressive, and hence you could get very sarcastic and call them out indirectly, or perhaps you just lose your temper and face them angrily. possibly, you could even be the type to bottle up all of your feelings, until you explode all of a sudden. that can also make you more furious than normal, as you have all these repressed, strong feelings inside of you that were screaming to get out. you’re also extremely protective of your loved ones, especially of your family.
🏡 houses, interceptions
your 1st house is intercepted in the sign of aquarius, with the cusp falling in capricorn. neptune and uranus are also here as well. with this interception, you most likely have troubles expressing yourself, and not just using words. you may feel scared to be considered weird from others, you're sensitive to others' criticism, and hence you end up hiding your interests, your taste, you don't express yourself properly. you are scared of being too self-centered, and that results in repressing your personality. you may often think that you have to change if someone finds something wrong in you, but in reality the only thing you need to change is your view of yourself. you probably lack self-esteem, which is a big trouble for you. also, due to your intercepted leo in the 7th house, you may also lack self-care, especially in your early years. you don't really care about your self-esteem inside of you, but you still feel pressured to conform to others. I have this interception myself, and the moment I started taking more care of myself, not only physically but also mentally, my life has improved a lot. understand that it's alright to be in the spotlight and above all to love yourself will instantly improve your life, especially your relationships with others.
your 2nd house is in pisces. your relationship with money may not be totally stable; you may get distracted easily, and you could lose your money around. you could be quite messy, overall, or in general, this is usually a placement that indicates sudden money loss. this placement also confirms that your self-esteem isn’t stable either; you could be quite insecure, and you may idealize a lot the way you look. for example, you could think that you have an ugly nose when it’s actually the opposite. same goes for your belongings; you may think that you have saved loads of money, you spend them, and then you realize you didn’t really have much. the ruler of the 2nd house is in the 1st house: you could increase your self-esteem through self-care. for example, putting on your favourite outfit, eating healthy, being independent and doing what you want to achieve in life is crucial for you self-esteem. you could also make money from through your image, you could be a model for example, or at least your existence revolves around money and matters of this kind.
your 3rd house is in aries. when you communicate, you take a lot of pride in your opinions. you hate admitting that you’re wrong, especially since you spend so much time learning and researching. you could be quite impulsive, and you may speak with a naturally loud tone of voice. you’re extremely good at coming up with plans easily, even though you may have troubles sticking to them, as your gemini nature gets easily bored. the ruler of the 3rd house is in the 6th house: your job may involve communication, you'll most probably interact with other people in your future career. or maybe, you might write stuff, hence you could be a writer, a journalist, etc. possibly, you would do well as a therapist too. you may also communicate through artistic outlets, hence you could be an actess, a singer, etc. also, you could often have to do short trips to reach your college / work place, perhaps in a bus for example.
your 4th house is in taurus, with also the moon and mercury placed there. your childhood probably wasn’t turbulent, unless for those topics I talked about in the sun section. it was mosty quite peaceful, and you probably were able to express your creativity. maybe, your parents were over-protective or possibly materialistic, but you felt at ease with them. they were very affecionate with you, and they always encouraged you to follow your passions and to study. your parents themselves could have been very successful in school. the ruler of the 4th house, venus, is in the 6th house: you may end up following your parents' same steps when it comes to school and / or work, or even health. you could inherit a disease from them, for example. you might have also been a very active and healthy kid, perhaps you used to eat a lot and didn't gain weight, or you've always done sport in your life. you could also find a job in your birth country / citt, or perhaps you won't move farther than that, I don't see you going abroad.
your 5th house is in gemini. you feel able to express yourself and your creativity through communication and media. probably, when you were a child you used to love puzzles. your have tons of hobbies, and they are all quite different from each other. they have the goal to stimulate your mind in some way, so for example if you read a book, it has to be about something interesting for you, that allows you to open your mind and also that teaches you something. with your sun placed here in this house, your life revolves around youth, creativity, fun and romance. if you don’t dedicate some time in your daily routine to nurturing your hobbies, or even just watching a tv show or hanging out with your friends, you don’t function correctly. because of that, I’d suggest you to pursue a career that involves your passions. so for example, if you like taking pictures you could become a photographer. the only problem with this is house is that saturn is also sitting here. you probably felt restricted from having fun when you were young. perhaps you were too insecure and / or shy to actually party and try different things like your peers, or perhaps it's someone that doesn't want you to have fun. you feel forced to always focus on work / school. also, you may often have troubles with romance and friends. you could have to suffer, but these lessons will teach you major life lessons that will be crucial in this lifetime. with the ruler of the 5th house in the 4th house, you may keep your interests hidden from your peers, perhaps because you’re afraid to be considered weird. also, you may be more attracted to things that remind you of your childhood, and hence you may love watching your childhood shows, cartoons, anime... anything that is more on the cute, fun side, even when it comes to music, books, fashion, etc.
your 6th house is in cancer. you may find yourself often having diseases around the stomach, breast area. you may get bloated often, for example. this placement also indicates that there might be someone in your family that works in the health field, hence there could be a surgeon, a nurse, a therapist, a nutriotionist, a vet, etc. you may choose a career that allows you to work from home as well, or perhaps you may work with children, families or houses in general. you also have three planets placed in this house: venus, mars and jupiter. you find pleasure and energy in working and taking care of your health, it actually boosts both your mood and confidence. you try to be very productive in your day-to-day life, even though you don't mind including fun and relax in your routine either. you may have a 'light' work, that is you could turn an hobby of yours into a job, or perhaps you'll make lots of friends or even lovers on your work place that will make it more pleasant for you to go to work. you may also be very lucky, you could easily get jobs that offer a nice income for example, and your health is mostly good, even though mars' here can make you prone to get lighter injuries like bruises, scratches, etc. but nothing too serious. you may also have problems with your skin, so you could suffer from acne or you could have a very thin, sensitive skin. you may also have problems with your eyes.
your 7th house is intercepted in the sign of leo, with the cusp of the house falling in the sign of cancer. you may find it difficult to attract love and partners in general, or if you do, you don't feel loved enough. you want to be praised and acclaimed by your lover, but you never seem to feel truly happy and empowered in a relationship. you crave attention, you need someone that helps you shine, but since cancer is in the house cusp, you may attract partners that act like a parent to you. they don't encourage you, they try to actually make you change your mind about your attitude, and that isn't what you truly want, but due to aquarius also being intercepted you just let them be. your sense of worth may depend too much on what others think of you, you care way too much. that's exactly what you need to drop. in reality, people do care about you, but due to your insecurity you always feel unloved and / or unwanted, and with all this negative thinking you actually attract bad luck to you. it's the law of attraction. you need to start being a little more rebellious and actually try to live your life by yourself. your life could have been influenced too much by others, whether it's your parents, friends, lovers doesn't matter. think about what you want in life, like your dream career, and work hard to achieve it. start being more independent, you'll see that your self-esteem will immediately increase when you understand that you don't need to depend on others.
your 8th house is in virgo. you use a practical approach when it comes to intimacy, you may struggle to let go around others, especially with your pluto energy in the 11th house that gives you major trust issues. you’re extremely secretive, you hardly ever talk about yourself, and you may even despise being too exposed. you’d rather stay by yourself, in fact you have a very mysterious vibe to your aura. also, with virgo in the 8th house, you may feel so tied to a schedule, to a plan, that you lack flexibility. you're too logical, even though deep down you have this intuition that you can't fully express. on the other hand, while this makes it hard for you to get closer to your spiritual, higher self, you're extra good at handling situations here on the earth. for example, you may handle money very well if you're well-organized. transformation in your life happens when you're able to stimulate your logical mind to earn awareness of your problems. to make it simple, you may often not realize your mistakes yourself, others have to let you notice, but thanks to your heavy mercurian energy in your chart you're able to solve your problems by your own. you just lack a more intuitive side.
your 9th house is in libra. your beliefs and life philosophies were shaped by the outside world. that doesn’t mean you’re basic; you just don’t look enough in yourself, you prefer taking inspiration from others. e.g, if you see everyone wearing pink, then you start wearing pink too. there’s nothing wrong with that of course, especially if it’s about shallow matters, not like politics for example. yet, if you don’t, try to find out your sincere opinion in yourself. in fact, when you realize that you don’t feel attached to a certain topic or opinion, you just leave it behind and seek other truth. you hate being told what to do, you want to be free in the decisions you make. with the ruler of the 9th house being in the 6th house, you could have to travel often for work, or perhaps you may pursue a 9th house career, like a writer, a teacher, a professor... you're also very open-minded, and your work will allow you to learn and improve yourself even more.
your 10th house is in scorpio. you may have a reputation for looking mysterious, as you’re probably not very sociable. you’re extremely motivated to achieve your goals, even though you may feel lost and confused due to your retrograde saturn. you’ll pursue a career that involves looking for the truth, hence you may be a detective, a scientist, a poet etc. overall, once you find your true vocation, you’ll have no problems working, even though it may take you a while to find the right job for you due to your midheaven being in scorpio. with the ruler of the 10th house being in the 11th house, you may be known for your successful career, maybe you may actually get popular easily. this is a beneficial placement for people that want to be recognized/famous, as you naturally have the celebrity vibe and charisma to you. you may also prefer working in groups rather than alone, or even with your friends.
your 11th house is in sagittarius. your friends may be very open-minded, and you might have met them in school. they could also come from a different cultural background, or maybe they’re directly from abroad. at first, you struggled to make friends, as you were very secretive. with time, you’re learning to trust people and to transform and grow up through them. pluto here indicates that you may have troubles making friends, getting to know new people. you don't open easily, you have some trust issues to you that restrict you from truly being yourself and opening up to others, and that influence your relationships with your friends. you could be extremely picky with your friends, but at least you're very loyal to them, you'd never betray them. your friends may also be a part of your group of soulmates. you have a very strong, intense bond with each other, even though they’re probably not many. the ruler of the 11th house is in the 6th house; again, another placement that indicates that you may work with your friends, in groups or in the spotlight, you have fame potential.
your 12th house is in capricorn. due to saturn, which is capricorn's ruler, I assume it could be hard for you to fully embrace your intuitive skills. in fact, you may be a bit too pragmatic to embrace your spirituality. I think you’re already working this out since you’ve booked an astrology reading to discover more about yourself, but remember that you should definitely try to get more in touch with your soul! even doing simple stretching, meditation or yoga can help give you some space to think about your identity, your wants and your needs. the 12th house is also the house of fears, and since its cusp falls in capricorn, you may be afriad of authority, like the police for example, or anything that appears to be much bigger and more supported than you. it may also manifest in fear of not being organized, and also fear of money / success loss. with the ruler of the 12th house in the 5th house, you may start developing a bigger sense of worth thanks to spiritual outlets, like astrology, tarots, meditation, religion, etc. in this way you'll be able to break free from saturn's limitations, and you'll be able to be more sociable and extroverted like your gemini dominance wants to be.
❤️ love life, soulmates
in love, you attract cancer, leo, gemini, virgo and leo placements individuals. your future spouse will most likely have leo and virgo traits placements, maybe a leo - virgo cusp. they’ll be very to bold and confident, but also with a warm heart and a hidden insecurity to them. you may meet them during a fun situation, hence at a party, during a vacation, in a restaurant, at a concert, a social gathering… possibly, even online. also, your spouse will most likely be one of your soulmates, and hence once you meet them you’ll probably have this ‘I’ve already seen you before’ feeling. they’ll seem very familiar, and you’ll find emotional comfort in them. your children will most likely have gemini, virgo, aries, capricorn or scorpio placements in their chart; they’ll be particularly witty and intelligent, but also very sporty, hard-working, ambitious and physically active. also, I have to point out that this placement could indicate an abortion, but your mars isn’t harshly aspected so I wouldn’t worry too much.
👶🏻 family life
your mother was very caring and affectionate with you, even though she could’ve been a bit too protective and/or materialistic. she was also very intelligent, and she passed down some of her knowledge and ideals to you. she’s probably a taurus or a libra, possibly even a cancer, gemini or virgo, or she has at least some placement in those signs. your father is a bit more chill than your mother, but he may get jealous easily. he’s probably a scorpio or any other water sign. if you have siblings, they’re probably aries or scorpio. you might fight a lot for control, especially during childhood. you’re also quite possessive of your things, but overall you also have a deep bond. even though you may argue quite a bit, you still have affection for each other.
📊 career
your future career will have to involve something creative, something that doesn't necessarily feel like a job to you and that you feel at ease doing. in fact, it will incredibly boost your self-esteem and you'll also be able to gain recognition for it, as I've already mentioned above. even if you don't get famous, you'll still be seen as a point of reference, a leader in your work place, you could become very successful. as I've already mentined you'll most likely work in a group or in an association rather than alone, or perhaps may also work online. you'll most likely include your thoughts and words into your career, hence you may have to interact with others or even become a writer, a lyricist, a journalist, a singer, a teacher... anything that allows you to communicate something in some way.
👗 fashion sense, style analysis
your style is most likely very androgynous, you wear pieces of clothing that are literally suitable for everyone. you probably prefer wearing oversized fits rather than tight clothes, and you're also fond of sweatshirts, big cardigans or jackets, oversized t-shirts... anything that feels very comfortable, but that still has some feminine, classy energy to it. you may like softer, natural shades of colours like white, beige, black, etc. in your clothes, and you could also enjoy prints and graphics on them. you may also be attracted to vintage fashion.
👁 past life, life purpose
in your past life time, you didn’t have a specific priority. you just enjoyed wandering with your mind and creativity, allowing yourself to relax with your friends. you used to depend on someone else, not really on yourself. this lifetime, you need to establish your independence AND solid boundaries, not just those you used to daydream about. don’t be afraid to let your inner child out; go to amusement parks, binge-watch netflix, date your crushes, have an hobby, play videogames… you could also play with actual children. anything that brings fun out of you, and that puts a genuine smile on your face.
🤔 major transits interpretation / sept 13th
the grand conjunction with saturn, pluto and jupiter is currently transiting your 12th house. it must be an extremely life-changing year for you. it's very confusing, of course. you may have little or even no control over things, and you could often feel too tired or sleepy. yet, on the other hand, you probably started getting more in touch with your higher self, you're starting to get free of your limitations, especially since saturn is also conjunct your ascendant. in this way, you'll also be able to love yourself more. you're on the right path, you're doing great, keep going!
🧿 manifest what you want, secret skills
your secret skills revolve around finances and just security in general. with a positive attitude, you may attract material luck: money, clothes, houses… everything that you desire. since you’re a logical person, I assume the most efficient way for you to manifest through the LOA is writing! take a notebook and just write down positive affirmations, such as 'I have the car of my dreams’ etc. you may also write them on post-its and glue them around your house, so that you can accelerate the progress. you can also try to idealize your wish before trying to manifest it. for example, if you want a new sweatshirt, try to imagine yourself wearing it. you could also go into a shop and actually try that sweatshirt it on; being in contact with it will boost the law of attraction even more.
this is the end! thank you again for booking a reading, hope it resonated with you :)

Hi! I've been wanting to study animation since I was in middle school and I plan on going to Sheridan once I graduate. I was wondering, what does it take to study animation at Sheridan? What would I need exactly to survive?
Oh boy, this is going to be a long answer. I’ll try my best to give the best advice as much as I can. Firstly, I’m happy that you want to study animation, that makes me happy!
- You need the passion for it. By passion, I mean you should know what it takes to be an animator and even though it’s fun… it’s a very tedious job. I’m not diminishing you from your dreams, but I’ve seen a lot of people wanting to become animators and once they get into the program and get a sense of what its like- they drop out. So please do some research and have the passion!
- Have a good attitude. If anything, a good attitude and personality will get you anywhere because in this field it’s all about group work and collaborating with people who you can work with. Not only this is important in the job field but also in school because the people who will be in your year will be the people you will work with. Either employers or employees.
- Sacrifice. I actually never realized this until my professor pointed it out. It’s true. When you’re studying animation, you’re going to have to make a few sacrifices to really build up your skills. I’m going to make it personal for me, so for example, I don’t head out much… I don’t go to parties at all, instead I put my time into practicing by consistently drawing. Keep in mind, I’m not telling you to get rid of socializing and friends/family, but you need to have a good balance and there will be sacrifices along the way
- Keep on drawing. Draw everything… absorb and collect as much information you can everywhere you go. This influences your inspiration and style and exploration! Draw cars everyday… draw 10 windows everyday, fill a page of hands, draw a bunch of dogs.. cats… fish, whatever! Just keep on drawing!
- Be familiar with animation… storyboarding… designing… etc… because at Sheridan animation you do a bit of everything here. It’s never too late or too early to practice those areas or even research!
This is probably a short list but it’s the top things that come to my head. If you  want any advice, or have any questions- please do message me and I’ll be more than happy to help out! I hope this helped! Best of luck! xoxo

July 2nd Early Morning Tweets
July 2nd Early Morning Tweets...
So what can I say to a group of people who have teamed up against me? ( Is it crazy to say that? Its everyone withholding info from me and making me say that crazy statement...while independent women and men follow the orchestrators instructions...)...
i'll say something nice, share something helpful...-
- i mention religion&things, &I don't know how that makes me comeOff 2the present day American...4 U religion is something 2not be takenSeriously...ur more secular....Im liberal in my beliefs&actions, but Im an advocateOfReligion, especially as a better alternative 2 psychology.-
- so many people today are seeing therapists and taking meds, compared to years before. Now it could be due to better awareness in society of issues and advancements in understanding. But I think another side to it is that people don't practice the discipline of religion.-
- Discipline seems 2 always be about sex, but thats ur business. MyFocus here is theMind. Religion is represented as spirit vs. body. But there's anotherLayer vs. the body: the mind. Jesus says "believe & U can move mountains." Belief is inTheMind. 1 has 2 believe in themselves.-
- that saying is explicit. Religion is ultimately about being one with the divine, or 1 with God - but thats a different subject or aspect. On a "how to better live" initiative, religion can promote better day 2 day life, by helping us get our heads in heaven. What do I mean?-
- In the Lord's Prayer, we say "Thy Kingdom come." The Kingdom may very well be an actual Kingdom. But I believe, in anotherRespect, it is a statement of mind, where God resides in ur mind. How does God reside in ur mind? When U do whats right & whats appropriate 4 a full life.-
- now right and wrong is a very big different topic. I think it goes beyond rules and laws and comes down to following your heart than your mind and or feelings. It comes down to what is appropriate for ur life, and what you can see God saying to you "Go get em." The Kingdom-
- is a state of mind where ur grounded, where you have wisdom, where you have peace, where you can believe without doubt, and I'm sure things I can't imagine. When you strive for this Kingdom, when you do what's appropriate for ur life, your mind is in heaven. What do I mean?-
- Heaven & hell are believed 2 be places, but it too can be a state of mind. When U do whats good, like a selfless act of helping another without any credit 2 U, ur mind is light, grounded, happy, at peace. That is the Heaven stateOfMind. Strive 4 that, base ur actions on that.-
- likewise when you do something bad, or inappropriate for ur life, you are, or "get sent/redirected to" a hell state of mind. You may experience guilt and other forms of negativity. U may feel the fire of consequences. Christianity is about inheriting the Kingdom state of mind-
- so that you can walk on water, or if nothing else, achieve your goals in life. It is about being in the heaven state of mind. When your mind is in heaven, your spirit and body are also in a good place. -
- something that helps our day 2 day action is prayer. Prayer can result in miracles. When miracles happen, there is a saying in The Lord's Prayer dating back thousands of years from those with wisdom &experience: "For Thine is the Kingdom, the power, &the glory, forever &ever."
- From that we learn, the power experienced through what's miraculous is not our own doing or from a power we own. Eastern philosophy sees people as specks in a great universe. While I believe we can be legendary titans, remembered through time, amidst the vastness of just our-
- planet Earth & the 7 billion + people here, we can be a minority. In that minority state, we need to know our place & be humble. We need to know, while we can do great things, we are nothing without God, or The Divine, or if U want 2 see it differently: we are nothing without-
- that concept of "there has to be more to life." I mean look at the stars. The vastness of the sun and sky...that thing that makes all this beauty beyond our selves is what establishes miraculous power of prayer or fires us to do great things.-
- so its important to be humble in the respect that we are nothing without "That which make us more." Something to remember while also considering we are 1 in 7 billion+ people in this world. In being specks in a greater giant world and an infinite universe, -
- what gives meaning is our actions, the relationships we form, the people we help. Alone weAreSpecks in a bigUniverse. When 2 people date/friend, or when some1 lends a hand 2 their neighbor, etc. they goAgainst humanNature, against the singlingOut of aloneness in the universe.-
- if in the vastness of the universe, we are but a speck, in the bonds we form in a lifetime, we become 2 or 3 specks. That 1 speck gets bigger. Form good bonds, meaningful bonds. Follow the Golden Rule: Love your neighbor like urself. In person & in action, U will be greater.-
-Sure, heroes come &go, and legends never die, but if U die, ur sayings &actions should leave an impact that lasts in a timeless manner in history &in the minds &hearts of the living. Ur sayings &actions represent ur soul. A projection of U thru such positive things is immortal.-
- Live a life of meaning, don't do things cuz ur supposed to, because of impulse - follow your heart. Thats very different from the mind. There are things out there in life that can control and influence the mind, but ur heart (the goodness at the core of you) is beyond control.-
-Practice mindfulness, reach into that core, ur heart, and let it guide you. How do we inherit the Kingdom state of mind, the heaven state of mind, follow our heart, be giants in a vast universe for all times and seasons? Through prayer. Going back to what I said earlier, -
- persistent prayer makes miracles happen. it could take years and you also have to do ur part in life to get the result. Mentioning of prayer probably makes me seem corny from a Christian perspective. If that's the case, think of it through a Buddhist meditative perspective.-
- Prayer can be a tool that results in something else: that thing is awarenessOfActions, reminders of whats important, & mindfulness. U can say, "find me the most beautiful woman if ur a guy", but U can also say things like "help me make my partner's day" or "help me eat less".-
- if you say "help me eat less" morning and night, everyday, next time your "tempted" to eat lots of food or snacks or a heavy meal, your mind will remember ur prayer. U'll be mindful of ur heavy eating. In going against ur prayer, u'll feel guilt, because u went against ur aim.-
- over time, this reminder&resulting feelings can guide consecutive actions, &help Uachieve ur goal. Prayer is a powerful tool. It can help 2drink tea or do breathing exercises b4 2 quiet ur mind. Then pray out loud, or in the silence & darkness of ur mind with ur eyes closed.-
-If its "help me make my partner's day", ur mind will go on the lookout towards how to make ur partner happy. Whether it be holding a door 4 her, getting her coffee, or simply complimentingHer. Be specific in ur prayer in placeOfGeneralizations like "help me be a better person."-
- because with generalizations, you leave the question of "How" unanswered. It means you didn't think what ur asking through. In the beginning, its ok if can't specify the "how." An example would be "help me get a better job." What is it that U have 2 do 2 get the better job?-
- U may need 2 save money or research 2 start a business. so "help me save money & have the will 2 research 4 my business idea" would be a better thing to ask. -
-4 a better job, maybe a degree or 2 is required. another better thing to ask is "help me study" or "help me get admission in 2 this school".-
- to leave nothing unanswered and to be thorough, if ur not of a particular faith, who you are praying to, when you say "give me this/that, help me with that/this" may be a question in ur mind. For those of a faith, ur praying to God, ur Heavenly Father. Going back to Adam & Eve-
- real people or not, or representations of real people or not, they are children of God. A mother and father take care of the needs of their children and love their children. The child lives and plays carefree, knowing that their parent will take care of everything.-
- In that same way and more, our Heavenly Father will take care of everything, our needs and desires, as we are His children. We need 2 have faith that He will doThis. As a mother or father craves their child's attention or their child talking 2them, so does ur Heavenly Father. -
- The Garden of Eden, actual place or not, was represented as a place, where Adam and Even, children of God, experienced that care in a very direct and visible way. Everything is provided to the children of God. Food, shelter, pleasures, everything. That still applies.-
- After the figurative fall, we need "to seek out that care, and we will find it" as Biblically stated "seek and you will find." We may not see God directly, but we can sense his presence in the goodness of our own actions and in the goodness of others. He is still visible. -
- so if U want 2pray & are of no faith? Think of it as talking 2 theInfiniteUniverse, whos present in the air U breathe, orTheGround U walkOn. Think of that as being conscious or having a soul or mind like you.-
- inThe same way a child sees an imaginaryFriend. This may help U say things like "give me this/that" or "help me with that/this."-
- but thats myMorningInspiration 2 any1 whos listening in thisTeamingUp of worldAgainst 1person. I kinda don't feel theDrive 2do this. MyUnderstanding of people is theyre just in2 tantalizing details&nice sounding things 2get highOn. Who digests/listens&uses possiblyUseful ideas?
