The ATLA fandom is interesting. There's been uproar about Katara's personality changing in the live-action... Besties, don't you think there's a reason why they did that? Maybe due to a certain influx of people bashing Katara every time she breathed in 2020? She was shamed repeatedly for being angry, outspoken, and confrontational. Not to mention how many of you defended her being a docile healer instead of a fighter in LOK (hell, some of you preferred Katara in LOK over Katara in ATLA, don't think I forgot). Why are we backtracking now?

(Yes the live-action could have done better with her. But they were probably trying to appease the people who whined in 2020, which they shouldn't have since this fandom would find something to rage about no matter what)

In regard to your pin post, what games do you like to play? I'm always a sucker for hearing about other tabletops people enjoy.

Ooooooh thank you for asking!!! I'm a big sucker for easy to run character focused games like Thirsty Sword Lesbians or Masks: A New Generation, but I also love love love games with potential for really cool and creative combat like Eidolon: Become Your Best Self, Gubat Banwa, and LANCER.

My primary experience is with Powered by the Apocalypse games, but I'm looking to expand my horizons a bit in the future! Blades in the Dark is super cool, but other Forged in the Dark games appeal to me a lot, especially Brinkwood - The Blood of Tyrants, a super cool game about organizing a revolution against colonialist capitalist vampires.

There's really so many amazing games by queer indie creators out there - Apocalypse Keys recently had its full release, as did EXTREME MEATPUNKS FOREVER the TTRPG! There's really something for everyone. I really need to play more Ryuutama for its lovely adventure vibes, Hard Wired Island for a return to true anticapitalist cyberpunk, as well as Flying Circus for amazingly accurate WWI-era plane action in a miyazaki-inspired setting! Other stuff I've had for a while but need to play are Monster Care Squad, Heart: The City Beneath, and Comrades, a Revolutionary RPG.

There's also plenty of nice, charming, slower paced games as well. Wanderhome is a beautiful pastoral journey game, where everyone comes together to heal a land and experience wonders. Our Traveling Home is inspired by Howl's Moving Castle and has everyone play a unique role as a queer found family. Yazeba's Bed and Breakfast just released, and it's an amazing episodic experience packed full of beautiful content!

One of my favorite game creators is Dinoberry Press, creator of fantastic titles like Justicar, What Waits Beneath, and GUN&SLINGER, a cool 2-3 player game where one person plays a magical gun and the other their haunted wielder. It's got a couple great extra modes of play, too, like SWORD&BEARER or MECH&PILOT !

And there's even more amazing games in development. Dinoberry's You're in Space and Everything's Fucked just funded, as did HELLPIERCERS: TACTICAL HARROWING ACTION. Guns Blazing and Wetrunners are really close to being funded, too, check them out! Some other great games that aren't fully complete but you can play right now are ICON, Bloodbeam Badlands, Red West, and In the Time of Monsters, all of which are some of the COOLEST things I have ever seen.

Planning an interstate meetup this Friday with @ernestonlysayslovelythings to see Land of Bad on its premiere day! I came to the realization today that this will actually be the first time I will be seing a Milo Ventimiglia movie in a theater!! By the time I deemed him Worthy it was 2020 and his last theatrical release was Oort of Racing in the Rain in 2019, and he hasn't released any movies since. Can't wait to see him die a horrible death on a big screen and have a bonafide Tumblr meetup!

@thestuffedalligator got me thinking about those Ghoul School/Monster High cartoons about the daughters of classic 1930s movie monsters. They're always depicted as conventionally attractive humans with blue or green or purple skin, but I think it would be really funny to have a group of 1980s monster girls who look just as gruesome as their dear old dads.

Milly Blobby Brown, daughter of The Blob (1988). Raised by the one-eyed preacher in his traveling revival tent, this puddle of goo wants nothing more than to leave her small town behind and make a name for herself in the big city. When she's not goodging around on her own, her friends push her around in a 30 gallon garbage can on a dolly (she outgrew her baby jar a long time ago)

Veronica Brundle, daughter of The Fly (1986). She looks exactly like her twin brother Martin after his metamorphosis but she chose not to teleport her fly genes onto anyone else. She had a million dollar smile (I mean her dental bills cost a million dollars)

There's Frida Kruger (always falling asleep in class), Crystal Vorhees (captain of the swim team, pioneer of the Olympic Deadman Float), Michelle Myers (works at the local butcher shop, loves her knives), and Debby Lynn Sawyer (professional chainsaw carver, amateur taxedermist). Those girls perpetually smell like rotting meat, but they're the cool clique compared to the daughters of the critters or hobgoblins or CHUDs.

One fun thing I think people overlook about Myranda Royce is that she's the daughter of the High Steward, which means she's the daughter of the guy running the economy of one of the biggest and farthest-north food-producing regions in Westetos. Since Petyr is also a money guy and has been manipulating Vale debt as well as the capitol's finances, and Nestor Royce the High Steward has shown himself ambitious but open to Littlefinger's bribes, who's the best person in the Vale to help bring down Littlefinger? Nestor who's been bought, Bronze Yohn with an army but no food or money source, or another clever inside player who's been running a gigantic household and likely its books successfully in her teens and early twenties?

indeed i had completely overlooked that. thanks for pointing out. it just shows how the potential for myranda to be an ally against petyr has solid basis in the text.

myranda is pretty much a "chekhov's gunman" character to me. petyr was so confident in sansa's disguise that he seemed unconcerned with the possibility of her being unmasked even by people who had previously met her (like bronze). but with randa, who had never laid eyes on sansa before, he was wary. it's because he knows she's the only one with enough knowledge and enough wit to pose a threat to his plans.
