Familar Stranger
DP x DC au with a dash of dimensional travel where Danny, due to his ghostly nature, looks slightly different depending on how others perceive him.
Warning: OP has no knowledge of space other than Google and is also a non-native English speaker; proceed with caution.
Same startup kits; Danny becomes the successor to the Infinity Realm (he's a baby by both ghost and human standards, so there's a temporary council for now). Anyway, he still has some power over the ghosts, so he asks them to lessen the amount of fighting to focus on schoolwork and "princely education."
Now here's where my brainrot begins.
The Lazarus Pits, necromantic rituals, or portals of any kind that have "death" or "soul" in them tend to be connected to the Ghost Zone. However, the zone has its own defensive mechanism, so unless someone *Fentons* actively makes a gateway or has "experienced" death, it's nearly impossible to come upon the zone. A certain furry bridage in Gotham has unknowingly ticked all the checkboxes.
During a misson, one of the bats got caught in a magic situation and got transported to the Infinity Realms. They wandered around, dogding ghosts, slowly getting insane from all these damn corridors and living paintings, before they stumbled upon a seemingly random door (CW is involved; he's having a great time testing the poor bat).
Opening the door leads them to the universe. They closed the door, then opened it again. Yep, that's an entire universe complete with its own planetary systems and, oh, so pretty stars growing and dying in a blink of an eye. Another check around shows them that this is the only door so far in the endlessly long hallway. They look down (if there's even a down, for there's only infinity) and take an experimental step. The Milky Way lit up under their feet, with stars gathering around to form a twisting path to nowhere.
For the next couple of hours, days, or minutes, they made their way through the galaxies. Just when they were about to spiral into a midlife crisis, they heard... humming?
Did they finally lose it? They asked themselves before noticing a glowing figure sitting on an asteroid nearby.
"Hello?"
The figure flinched, and life paused. The blackhole by their left stopped spinning, the stars weren't twinkling, and the figure turned their head. Now it's their blood that runs cold.
"You're not supposed to be here."
Lazarus-colored orbs stared back at them with a familiar face but an unfamiliar voice. Damian tilted his head, looking at them in confusion (there's something wrong, wrong, wrong-). They blinked because, what the hell, seeing something other than a scowl on the boy's face is WeirdTM. Suddenly, that's a teenaged Jason staring at them, much closer than he(?) was before.
At this point, they realized— eyes moving over the entire regalia and the glowing crown that just appeared—they're probably in deep sh*t.

i’m genuinely of the belief that the megamind sequel/tv show was meant to premiere on nickelodeon in like 2011 alongside their other spinoff shows, but then got shelved after the movie flopped financially and has been sitting around in some archive gathering dust until peacock decided to release it as “new content.”
like, can we just look at the visual evidence alone?
he fits right in with this lineup. peacock, i’m onto you

You know, even though I am sad that animus magic isn’t around anymore, I honestly wouldn’t have hated if this had been the actual reason it disappeared. There’s something poetic about the universe keeping a cosmic balance. Nothing comes for free. There is always a price to pay and the price of animus magic is the warping and devouring of the soul of those who use it and once that balance was disrupted it fades away. Animus magic kind of started off as this mysterious/sinister power and while I do like that it is played off as just another inheritable trait I also think it should be remain weird and mysterious and sinister.

I know this is probably the fiftieth “wow mob really has grown over the seasons with handling his emotions” post but the fact that mob was able to cry and mourn over dimple properly without it involving his percentage is something you couldn’t get in a previous season. Yes the scene was emotionally devastating, but in a weird way it’s nice for him to just be able to get a good cry out and not bottle that emotion for his next 100%.

Now, what on earth could Caleb be up to? 🧐
@moonfromearth Do you think Veronica would mind being Lilith's blood dealer in these trying times?
Previous / Next
Caleb: [humming under breath]
[humming more loudly]
[continues humming]
Lilith, I'm... [hesitates] I don't mean to disturb you.
Lilith: [irritably] You already have. What do you want, Caleb?
Caleb: I'm going out. I've got errands to run. I'll be back before sunrise, obviously.
Lilith: I don't suppose you'd swing by the hospital and swipe me some blood bags?
Caleb: You know the answer to that.
Lilith: [heaves dramatic sigh] Wonderful. I'll have to hit up Veronica and beg like some common addict.
Caleb: Lilith... [trails off uncertainly]
Lilith: Speak your mind, brother, or I'll have to probe it. I know how much you hate that.
Caleb: [visibly cringes] That won't be necessary. It's just that it's not like you to sulk, especially over a human. There'll be others.
Lilith: I'm not sulking. I'm practicing self-care. Isn't that what you're always preaching, meditation over murder? Hmm, that's catchy. You should put it on a t-shirt.
Caleb: You're incapable of having a serious conversation.
Lilith: I'm busy, and your conversation topics are boring and played out.
Caleb: Fine. I'll be back in a few hours.
Lilith: I'm sure I'll barely notice you're gone.

hi! can I ask why some many people think that Roman has an ed? not a criticism, just genuinely curious cause I never noticed any signs!
i first started thinking it from day one for no reason other than i hc lots of my faves with eds because i love angst and have suffered with eating disorders therefore i like to project/ find it easy to write etc haha but over the course of the show there’s been lots of things tbh.
very early on in the show we see him bodychecking pinching his stomach etc he looks unhappy with his body. he’s very rarely seen eating anything other than fruit, frequently at tables he’s the only one not eating. this gifset is a really good show of that.
the roy’s in general all seem to have poor relationships with food, which has been confirmed in the recently released script books (“the summer of competitive eating disorders”), but roman especially has several fraught memories relating to food (being forced to eat chocolate cake (dog food?), getting beaten for ordering lobster, “if you wanted roast chicken and i wanted steak we always had chicken, i would fucking tantrum because i never had steak, i never won.”)
i think kieran did irreparable damage with this interview (he’s so smart, this was also over a year ago, before the scripts released anything canon).
roman’s relationship to his body is consistently distant and negative (he’s not a real person). he was, as far as we know, the only one who got hit by logan. he’s the shortest, he was sent away to military school which is notoriously regimented and harsh on the body, he was shoved into a cage, he was beaten, and depending on your reading into it there’s also plenty of hints that he might have been sexually abused in some way. he’s seen as the weak dog. he’s constantly treated as such.
i think having control over food is a way he could take control over a body that’s never felt like his, that no one else has ever respected so why should he? i don’t think it’s all about being thin, although we definitely see signs of him being obsessed with his image. he was never going to be the biggest, the manliest, but he could be in control. an eating disorder could be his private thing, the thing he could do well at, no one knows how strong he’s actually being by denying what his body needs. that’s impressive, okay? that counts for something, surely.
he seeks comfort in harm, he doesn’t know what his dad means when he asks if he even made contact, he’d already forgotten, promise. he asks to be degraded, he jumps into a mob asking to be hurt, he needs it, he’s been taking beatings his whole life, he speaks this language. he’s got the gift of the gab when it comes to destroying himself. he’s hurt and he’s hurting but he chose it, he’s got control. he has.

of all the star wars movies, which of them do y'all 1) enjoy the most 2) consider the best quality and 3) think you've rewatched the most. add your answers in the reblogs or replies, i'm genuinely curious how much of an overlap there is within everyone's three answers. mine don't overlap at all! they're revenge of the sith, empire strikes back, and the force awakens :^)
