Is You
Christmas is just five days away and Todoroki is freaking out.
Every year, Midoriya blows Todoroki away with extraordinarily personal gifts, bringing loving tears to his eyes before he hands over a boring present of his own. Although Midoriya weeps every time, Todoroki knows it’s never as good as his lover deserves.
So, Todoroki made a vow to himself that this year he would give Midoriya the best gift ever. But how can he can he do that? Todoroki has no clue, so maybe their friends would.
-
“Aw, Todoroki!” Uraraka squeals as herself, Iida and Todoroki sit in a corner booth at the local cafe. “You know whatever you get him, he’ll be grateful and love it.” The smile Uraraka gives is almost reassuring. Almost.
“I know,” Todoroki sighs, looking down at his half empty tea cup. “But I want this to be even better. Something that will amaze him.. He deserves it after all.” That last part was muttered, though the other two still heard it loud and clear. Uraraka and Iida share a secret smile before the speedy hero reaches a hand out, clapping Todoroki harshly on the back.
“You’ll figure it out, Todoroki.” The ice and fire user looks up, meeting Iida’s encouraging eyes.
“Yeah!” Uraraka chimes in. “I mean, he always says that ‘all he needs is you’! So anything you come up with, he’s bound to cherish it for the rest of your lives.”
Todoroki swears he can still see hearts in his friend’s eyes as they part ways.
-
Todoroki sits in the small kitchen of Bakugou and Kirishima’s apartment. He isn’t sure why he thought Bakugou would know what to get Midoriya, but they were childhood friends, so maybe the blond has some sort of idea.
“The hell? You think I know shit about what you should get for Deku?!”
Or not.
“Chill out, babe.” Kirishima scolds his fiancee, though there is a bright smile on the redheads face, so maybe it can’t be called ‘scolding’. “Listen, man. Midoriya is crazy into you!” Kirishima’s enthusiasm is overwhelming to Todoroki, but he powers through. “All he talks about is you and how amazing you are and how he feels so lucky to have yo-”
“Blah blah blah, all that sappy shit. You get it.” Bakugou rolls his eyes and returns to whatever he was furiously stirring in a bowl when Todoroki first arrived.
Kirishima chuckles softly before looking back at his friend in crisis.
“Seriously, Todoroki. When you first started going out, I remember hearing Midoriya say ‘he’s all I’ve ever needed.” Kirishima sighs lovingly as though those words were spoken for him. Todoroki blushes, a small smile forming on his face.
“Oi, shitty hair!” Bakugou turns around, finding his soon-to-be husband staring blankly into space. “You trying to say I’m not that sappy?!” Jutting out a hip, Bakugou crosses his arms in front of his chest in anchor.
“No no no, babe!” Kirishima immediately jumps from his seat at the table to put out the fire that is his lover. “You express your love in your own special and perfectly you way.” The hardening hero takes Bakugou’s face between his hands, planting a small chaste kiss on slightly pouting lips.
Todoroki took that moment as his chance to leave.
-
There was one more person Todoroki had in mind who would know his boyfriend incredibly well.
All Might.
“Young Todoroki!” All Might’s booming voice sounds through Todoroki’s cell phone. (The students were given their teachers phone numbers in case of emergencies.)
“Hello All Might.” Todoroki formally greets his teacher before clearing his throat. “I have a question to ask of you about Izuku.”
“Young Midoriya?!” All Might’s voice is almost frantic with slight anxiety seeping through. “Is he alright?!”
“Yes, yes, he’s fine.” Todoroki quickly reassures his teacher. “It’s about Christmas.”
A couple beats of silence fill the receiver and Todoroki starts to think the former #1 hero had hung up on him.
“Hel-”
“Young Todoroki,” All Might interrupts him, voice calm and collected. “Are you asking me what you should get Young Midoriya for Christmas?”
Todoroki blinks, stunned. “Uh…”
“My boy,” There’s a smile in All Might’s voice. “Why are you asking an old man, like myself, what to get your boyfriend for Christmas?”
Todoroki huffs. “Well… I just, I don’t…” Upon his stumbling, All Might let out a soft chuckle.
“Todoroki, you know him better than anyone. You’ve seen him at his most vulnerable, been at his side for, what? Five years now? You’re adults, taking on Japan as two of the top ten heroes. You’re obviously meant to be, Young Todoroki.” A beat passes before All Might speaks up again. “Let me ask you, what do you want out of this relationship with Young Midoriya?”
Todoroki doesn’t hesitate to answer, “I want to spend the rest of my life with him.”
“Then I think you know what you want to get him.”
-
It’s here. Christmas day. Midoriya was sleeping peacefully on Todoroki, his breathe hitting the half-and-half male’s bare chest.
Todoroki woke before the sun could rise, nerves raking his soul to the core.
He tries to calm himself by combing his fingers through Midoriya’s green curls. He shuts his eyes tightly, trying to will himself to sleep, but to no avail.
Before he knew it, bright rays filter through the window of their bedroom, framing Midoriya’s freckled face. The OFA user’s eyes scrunch at the sudden sunlight, a yawn escaping his mouth. Todoroki swears his heart stops at the sight, knowing full well what was to come.
Once Midoriya gets his bearings, the smaller man looks up at his wide awake boyfriend, shooting him a sleepy grin.
“G’morning.” His voice is gravelly, causing Todoroki to blush and smile at the sight.
“Good morning, Izuku.” Planting a swift, sweet kiss to his lovers forehead.
They slowly get out of bed and get ready for the day, the whole time, Todoroki feels anxious. His hands are sweaty and his heart is pounding. While they sit at the table to have breakfast, his foot taps quickly against the tile floor as he distractedly eats his eggs.
“-outo? Shouto!” Todoroki jolts, turning to his left where he finds his boyfriend looking at him with concerned eyes.
“Y-yes?” Todoroki clears his throat, pretending to be nonchalant.
“Are you okay?” Midoriya sets his fork down, hand reaching out to hold Todoroki’s. “You’ve been distant all morning, what’s wrong?”
“I’m sorry,” Todoroki sighs. “Just, tired I guess.” Midoriya gives a small smile.
“Let’s go back to bed than. Presents can wait and we don’t have to be at Kacchan’s until 3.” Intertwining their fingers together, Midoriya tugs at Todoroki to stand.
“No, ‘Zuku.” Todoroki pulls the smaller man towards him, holding him closely.
“But why not?” Midoriya looks up with big green eyes. Todoroki’s gaze flickers across Midoriya’s face.
“I, uh.. “ Todoroki stutters, causing Midoriya’s head to tilt in confusion. “I-I want to give you your present now.” Todoroki says each word slowly, tasting them on his tongue as though they’re foreign.
“O-Okay! We can do them now!” Midoriya’s energy returns full swing as he drags Todoroki to their living room. Todoroki chuckles, forgetting his anxiety for a moment, getting lost in that blinding grin.
The two swap presents from their family members and friends that they had gotten in the mail. They always kept them under the tree, saving to open them for Christmas no matter how early they came.
Then, it was down to the last two gifts: A medium sized present labeled Shouto, and a small plain brown box labeled Zuku. Like every year, Midoriya stands first to retrieve his gift, handing it to Todoroki with jittery fingers a wobbly grin on his face.
Todoroki takes the present and begins ripping at the shimmering paper, revealing a plain brown box. Using his ice, Todoroki makes a small, pointy icicle to rip at the tape holding the package closed. He lets out a gasp when opening the flaps.
Inside lay a black shadow box frame. Todoroki lifts it from the box and inspects the contents behind the glass.
There’s a ripped out piece of notebook paper with a shriveled, yet still yellow dandelion. On the scrap paper above the flower, the words From Shouto in messy, high school handwriting clearly by Midoriya. The photo was black and white with a vignette around the edges. Todoroki was holding Midoriya on his back, the freckled teen was grinning so wide his eyes closed and Todoroki was looking up over his shoulder with a loving expression. It was clearly after hero training as both were in their hero costumes.
“W-Where…” Todoroki was at loss for words as small tears fill his eyes.
“Uraraka apparently took it after class one day.” Midoriya’s cheeks were bright pink as he bounced his leg. “She’s been holding onto it and decided to share it with me a couple months ago, so I thought…” Midoriya’s voice trails off as he bites at his lip.
“It’s amazing, Izuku,” Todoroki whispers, finally looking up from the sweet gift and leaning forward to place a sweet kiss on Midoriya’s lips. “I love it, thank you.” Their foreheads touch and Midoriya giggles in delight.
“I’m glad,” Midoriya responds just as a quietly. After a couple more moments, the two break apart and it hits Todoroki that it’s his turn.
Standing a shaky legs, Todoroki goes under the tree and retrieves his small gift. Back to his boyfriend, he quickly pulls the small jewelry case out of the box. When he turns around, everything fades and all he sees is Midoriya.
His best friend, his lover, sitting on their couch in their apartment. This place they bought together and share together.
Together.
“Izuku…” Todoroki whispers slowly walking to his boyfriend who scoots to the edge of the couch, body twitching in excitement. Once he’s infront of Midoriya, Todoroki looks down and suddenly, the words just come to him.
“Izuku, you are my everything. You have saved me hundreds of times; from myself, from others. You are an incredible hero and person and I feel honored to be able to spend everyday at your side. You are an inspiration to all young heroes, your strong and passionate and I feel I fall inlove with you more everyday.” Midoriya’s lips quiver as pools of tears trickle down his cheeks. “When we’re apart, even for a moment, I find myself missing you. I know our jobs are unpredictable, but I never want to be without you. All I could ever need is you.”
With that, Todoroki gets down on one knee, opens the ring case and holds it infront of Midoriya, whose jaw is slacked tears no longer falling. Todoroki tries not to choke up at the most important part.
“‘Zuku, will you marry me?”
Midoriya stares at the silver band. A hand comes up to cover his mouth as a harsh sob unexpectedly rakes his body. His eyes squeeze shut as streams of water descend quicker than before.
Todoroki feels uncomfortable, unsure of how to console his lover considering he still hadn’t recieved an answer. Then, green eyes open wide and lock on mismatched ones. Midoriya’s scarred hand drops to his lap.
“Yes.” Midoriya breathes.
Todoroki freezes before asking, “Really?”
“Yes!” Midoriya yells as he jumps from the couch. Todoroki stiffly follows up before he is tackled into a passionate kiss and loving arms. Finally breaking from a sort of trance, Todoroki wraps his own arms around the smaller man, holding him close, kissing him back just as intensely.
After a couple little kisses, Midoriya pulls back with a wide grin before looking down at the ring still in it’s case.
Todoroki flails slightly, scrambling to take the ring out, dropping the jewelry box in the process before taking Midoriya’s left hand and slipping the band onto his ring finger.
Upon closer inspection, Midoriya sees the words engraved in cursive: All I need is you, with green, red and white jewels at either end of the phrase.
Without saying another word, Midoriya pulls Todoroki in for another kiss, but Todoroki hears him loud and clear.
All I need is you.

Natsu walks with a little pep in his step towards the guildhall, a wide grin stretching across his face. Today was “opposite day”. The idea had been Lucy’s, and as she explained the concept, more people started to get into it.
At first, Natsu didn’t really care to participate. It wasn’t until Lucy announced it would be a contest, that Natsu immediately agreed.
“You change one thing of your appearance, and if anyone notices and points it out, you lose.” She had said. Natsu’s ears perked up at the excuse to get competitive. “At the end of the day, whoever is still standing will get a prize.” That had done it for the dragon slayer, and before he knew it, he was writing his name down on the list of participants.
Natsu arrives at the guild and takes his usual seat at the bar. He turns to face the hall, leaning back against the counter, and scans the area.
Gajeel, Cana, and Elfman sat at a table, glaring at each other. Natsu raises an eyebrow.
“Good morning, Natsu!” The fire mage jumps at the sudden voice behind the counter. Twisting his head around, he’s greeted by the smiling face of Mirajane.
“Morning, Mira!” He grins.
“Your usual?” She asks, already grabbing a glass to fill with fire.
“Yes!” He turns his entire body back to the counter, placing his chin into the palms of his hands.
As Mira moves about, Natsu studies her. He doesn’t remember who was on the list, but he feels there’s something different about her.
“There ya go,” She places the flaming cup and a plate full of breakfasts food in front of him.
Once the smell of chicken and eggs fills his nostrils, Natsu forgets all about Mira’s difference, and dives in to his meal.
-
One by one, the guild members participating in opposite day were picked off. As the day drew to a close, Natsu feels proud of himself, a smile never leaving his face. The only ones left were himself, Mira, and Cana.
The three sit side-by-side at one of the tables as several mages crowd around them, analyzing their every detail. It’s oddly silent in the guild hall, no one daring to speak unless it was about the differences in appearance.
Natsu smirks, Mira smiles sweetly, and Cana looks bored with her arms crossed over her chest.
Max takes a deep breathe, like he’s about to make an accusation, and everyone looks at him. After two, slow seconds, he lets out an annoyed sigh and everyone rolls their eyes, returning their gazes to the three powerful mages.
After another couple minutes, Lucy gasps.
“Your bag!” She points at Cana, causing everyone to look at the card mage. Cana raises an eyebrow, daring Lucy to continue. “Your bag is on your left, not the right!”
The guild members all chatter loudly, asking themselves “why I didn’t realize that”, and “damn I was sure it had to do with her shoes”. Cana rolls her eyes.
“Alright!” She yells, and everyone ceases talking. “Now that that’s over, can I have my drink now?” She glares in Lisanna’s direction, knowing Mira won’t move from her spot. Lisanna squeaks and runs behind the bar.
“No problem, Cana!” She calls, and the brunette shoves her way through the crowd to the bar, finishing her first drink within seconds.
Before anyone could continue scanning Natsu and Mira, the guild doors open and an exhausted looking ice mage walks through. Natsu brightens at the sight of his boyfriend, before jumping up and running to him.
“Gray!” He tackles Gray into a hug, causing an “oof” to escape the man’s mouth.
“Hey, Flame Brain,” He greets his boyfriend, hugging him with one arm, as Natsu buries his face into the ice-make wizards neck. “What’s going on here?” Natsu pulls away slightly, resting against Gray’s side, whose arm stays wrapped around Natsu’s waist.
Gray scans the room, then looks down at his boyfriend, eyebrows furrowing in confusion. Natsu opens his mouth to respond, but Gray stops him. “What did you do to your hair?” Natsu’s eyes widen, mouth shutting instantly.
Natsu can feel the other guild members closing in on them, their eyes watching every move and word.
Don’t say it, please don’t say i-
“Why is your part switched?” Gray drops his bag to the floor beside him, and reaches up to fix the dragon slayers hair.
Natsu scrunches his eyes closed, waiting for the chaos to ensue.
“His hair! It’s his hair! I knew it all along!” The voices blend together, shouting about the revelation, and cursing at Gray for figuring it out right away.
“What the hell…?” Gray looks around, baffled by the energy in the hall so late at night.
“We had a competition,” Natsu explains, finally reopening his eyes to focus on Gray. “It was opposite day, and whoever lasted the whole day without their difference being pointed out, won a prize.” Natsu sighs, depressed. Gray makes an ‘O’ shape with his mouth, then smiles nervously.
“Sorry, Flame Brain,” Gray rubs at the back of his neck.
Natsu shrugs. “Eh, it’s whatever.” Natsu looks over at Mira, who was happily making her way back to the bar. “Yo, Mira!” Natsu calls out to her.
“Yes?” She turns to him, grabbing a plate to dry off from Lisanna.
“Since you already one, what was different about you?” Everyone silences at that, their attention fully on Mirajane.
“It was my shoes,” She walks from behind the counter, lifting her long dress to show. The crowd’s eyes squint, looking intently at her feet. “They’re on the wrong feet.” She uses a thin finger to point at her heels, which were indeed switched.
Everyone stares at her dumbfounded.
“How did you expect us to know that with your long ass dress?” Before Gajeel could even finish his interrogation, Mira’s Satan Soul makes an appearance.
“Are you questioning me?” The members take three large steps back, and Gajeel sputters out an, “N-No, ma’am.”
Lucy carefully hands her a ticket for a spa day at the Blue Pegasus Guild. Mira snatches it, and stuffs it in her dress pocket. In a blink, Mira returns to her natural form, and giggles.

You Make Me Feel Like Dancing
Disclaimer: All Fairy Tail Characters Belong To Hiro Mashima
"Come on, Gray," Ultear cajoled from the kitchen where she was preparing dinner, "I'm not asking you for much. We all have to pitch in until Mom recovers from her surgery."
“But I already promised Loke I’d go over to his house to play Smash Bros,” Gray complained loudly, earning him a glare from his twin sister.
“You can do that any time, you know how much Wendy looks forward to her dance class,” Ultear reminded him before adding with a glint in her eye, “Are you really gonna make her miss it just so you can go play some video game?”
"Dancing is stupid," Gray grumbled in defeat, and Ultear grinned knowingly. There was no way he would disappoint their little sister, and she knew it.
Gray adored Wendy, she was sweet and kind but almost painfully shy. You could usually find her playing with their white cat Carla, or hiding behind a book. Whenever anyone outside of the family tried to talk to her, her face would turn a worrisome shade of red, and she'd begin to stutter. She was also notoriously clumsy.
Both of these things had decided their mother to put her in a class at the local dance studio a few months ago. At first, Wendy had cried and refused to go, but when she saw her mother wasn't backing down, she caved, even trying to be enthusiastic about picking out her dance outfit and slippers.
After a few lessons, Wendy had slowly begun to come out of her shell. She'd made a few friends, and she'd started dancing around the house, practicing her steps to impress her teacher, a woman by the name of Natsu, if Gray remembered correctly.
Gray had to admit his mother had been right. Wendy seemed to be doing better, she was no ballerina, but it always brought a smile to his face to see her trying her best to dance. He supposed taking her wouldn't be that bad, maybe he could treat her to some ice cream afterward at the shop next to the studio. It would ruin her dinner, but it would serve Ultear right for sticking this on him.
A few minutes later, Wendy stood in front of him dressed in her dance clothes and gazing up at him hopefully.
“You ready?”
She smiled at him and nodded.
“Thanks for taking me,” Wendy confided, ”I was afraid I was gonna have to miss it.”
“It’s fine,” Gray waved her concern away as they started walking towards the studio, “How long is this class anyway?”
“Just an hour.”
“Do I have to go in with you?”
"Nah, you stay in the waiting room, but you can watch me from the TV if you want," She looked down at the ground shyly, and he smiled to himself.
He’d make a point to watch for a little while so he could compliment her. She remained quiet for the rest of the ten-minute walk, gripping her dance bag tightly, occasionally taking her water bottle out for a drink.
They arrived a few minutes early, and Wendy changed out of her shoes and into her pink slippers, chatting with some of the other girls as she did so. Gray was already bored. He was about to sit and play on his phone when he happened to glance up at one of the screens, which was showing one of the classrooms.
A guy was standing by himself in front of a mirror and Gray began to turn away when the guy started to dance. The classroom must have been soundproofed, Gray couldn't hear any music, but it was clear the guy was moving to a rhythm.
Gray had never seen anyone so graceful in his life, male or female. Every movement was fluid, and even though it was clear the guy was focusing on his routine, his face was filled with joy as he moved. It was breathtaking, and Gray couldn't tear his eyes away from the screen, hypnotized by every move.
This guy was fit, his tights, did male dancers wear tights? Well, pants, clung to his muscles and since his shirt was off, Gray could admire his torso to his heart's content. His routine was entertaining, a combination of gymnastic elements and moves that Gray couldn't name but knew he'd seen before. Some even reminded him of martial arts. It wasn't at all what he expected from a dance routine.
Though the quality of the camera was not the best, Gray could definitely tell the dancer was very good looking, and he thought the guy seemed vaguely familiar, although he couldn't pinpoint where from. Gray was so caught up in the performance he didn't notice Wendy and her friends giggling at him until Wendy pulled on his shirt. He grudgingly turned away from the screen and gave her his attention, not hearing the door open up behind them.
"What's up, Squirt?"
“I’ve been trying to get your attention for ages,” Wendy complained, “I wanted to introduce you to my friends.” She narrowed her eyes at him, “Why were you watching the TV anyway? I thought you said dancing was stupid.”
Gray rubbed the back of his neck as he felt the glare of several pre-teen girls and their mothers at Wendy’s words. Had he said that? Well, he'd just changed his mind. Dancing was not stupid at all, it was hot as hell.
“That’s a shame, you certainly have the body for it,” A voice from behind him said, and before he had a chance to turn around or respond to what he thought was a compliment his sister completely lost her shit.
Gray turned around to an unexpected sight.
"Natsu!" Wendy, his usually quiet and shy sister, was squealing with delight, hug tackling the dancer Gray had been watching, who'd put on a shirt and was now surrounded by a gaggle of giggling girls.
Natsu took it in stride, ruffling Wendy's hair and grinning at her. "Hey, Wendy, did you have a nice week?"
All this time he’d imagined Wendy’s teacher as a nice older woman who wore her hair up in a bun and carried a stick around to count off the steps. How wrong he’d been.
Natsu looked to be about his age and dear God, he was gorgeous. His hair was the pink of every flower Gray had ever considered beautiful, his eyes a shade of green that was both warm and expressive, reminding Gray of a warm summer’s day.
Oh my God, I sound like a fucking Hallmark card!
If Gray hadn't already known he was gay, he was pretty sure he'd be having an awakening right about now. He felt the draw of those beautiful eyes as they peered at him with open curiosity.
“You must be Gray,” Natsu directed a blinding smile at him as he extended his hand in greeting, “Wendy talks about you all the time. I’m Natsu, Wendy’s teacher, nice to meet you.”
"I'm Gray," Gray realized to his chagrin that he'd just repeated what Natsu had said. What was wrong with him? He was never this flustered around other guys, no matter how good looking they happened to be, but he couldn't get the way Natsu's lithe body moved as he danced out of his mind. Gray managed to shake Natsu's hand without making a further fool out of himself, and he dearly hoped that Natsu hadn't noticed his infatuation.
Natsu laughed at him good-naturedly, before clapping his hands to get the girls attention. “Alright girls, everybody in the classroom. We have a lot of work to do for the recital.”
The girls who’d been watching the two of them and giggling ran into the classroom in a large group. Natsu chuckled, “Well, they have a lot of energy tonight, I’m going to have my work cut out for me.”
He looked at Gray one last time before waving and entering the classroom, closing the door quietly behind him.
Gray found an empty chair, and before long he was once again glued to the TV, watching transfixed as Natsu had the girls sit in a circle. It was easy to see why all the girls adored him. While Gray couldn't hear what they were saying, he could see Natsu talking enthusiastically with all of them, his hands making broad gestures in the air for emphasis. There was a lot of laughter before he finally got them to focus, leading them in a series of warm-up exercises.
“You’re such a good brother,” A young mother praised him as she noticed him watching the class, “It’ll mean a lot to your sister to know you were watching her.”
Another woman snorted at the praise, but Gray ignored her. He noticed that a lot of the moms were watching the television, fond smiles on their faces.
“Natsu really is very good with them,” the same mother informed Gray, “And he’s an amazing dancer. I saw him compete once, won every category he was in.”
Gray continued to observe, making sure to pay attention to his sister who was by no means the best dancer there, but she made up for it by trying hard, and it warmed his heart with pride. He watched as Natsu took her aside at one point and worked with her when he noticed she was having trouble, encouraging her until she got it. The hour passed quickly, and Gray found he never looked at his phone once.
Towards the end of the class, Gray saw Wendy take a tumble as she tried to do a pirouette. She didn't get up right away, and he stood up quickly, ready to enter the classroom and get her when the door opened, and Natsu came out carrying Wendy in his arms, as the other girls huddled around them.
“I’m sorry,” Natsu announced to the parents, “I’ll need to end class a few minutes early so I can take a look at Wendy’s ankle.”
None of the parents complained, and Gray followed him as he carried Wendy into a back room. Wendy's eyes were shut tightly, and Gray could tell she was doing her best to hold back tears.
“What happened?” Gray asked, even though he’d seen it on the screen.
"She lost her balance and tripped, but she's gonna be just fine as soon as we put some ice on her ankle," Natsu assured both of them, "I checked it, and it doesn't seem to be very swollen, but it's best to treat it anyway."
Natsu set her down gently on a small sofa, motioning Gray to sit by her legs and elevate her ankle. He opened a freezer and moved some of the contents around until he found an ice pack. He knelt down by Gray’s legs as he wrapped the ice pack around Wendy’s ankle.
“You’ve just gotten your first official dancer’s injury,” Natsu’s eyes crinkled as he smiled at Wendy, “You’re definitely one of us now.”
Wendy opened her eyes and gave Natsu a weepy smile in return. Natsu fiddled with his watch and stood up. “Can I get either of you anything to drink?”
When they both shook their heads, Natsu grabbed Wendy's hand and squeezed it before letting go. "Hang in there kiddo, I know it's a little uncomfortable, but you need to keep that on for about fifteen minutes, I'll be back in a few, okay?"
“Okay,” Wendy replied, she took a shaky breath and pouted at the ice pack.
“You were doing pretty well in your lesson, you know, until this happened,” Gray offered, trying to get her mind off her ankle.
“You watched me?”
“Sure, who else would I watch?” Gray regretted his words as soon as he saw his sister smirk at him knowingly.
"Isn't Natsu a great dancer?" Wendy gushed, "He's won tons of competitions, and he has his own YouTube channel!"
He has his own YouTube channel? I am definitely looking that up when I get home.
"Oh, God, please don't watch that!" Natsu groaned as he overheard Wendy's words, "I only have that up so I can watch and compare videos easily. Especially the poomsaes." In the time he'd been gone he'd changed out of his dance clothes and into a pair of jeans and an MCR t-shirt.
He placed Wendy's bag at Gray's feet and put his own on a small table before grabbing a water bottle from the fridge and sitting across from Gray.
“Poomsaes? You do TaeKwonDo too?” Gray asked excitedly, “What belt are you?”
“Yeah, my dad thought Karate was too violent,” Natsu revealed, “I’m a Second Dan black belt.”
“I’m testing for my Second Dan in December,” Gray was excited to find they had something in common. “We should spar sometime,” Gray offered, excited by the prospect, “I could use the practice.”
"Sure, that'd be fun," Natsu agreed, "I have my sparring gear somewhere. I have a few competitions I have to get through first, though, I can't afford to get injured."
“What dojo do you go to? I hadn’t heard of any competitions coming up.”
Natsu laughed easily, “That’s because they’re dancing competitions. I go to Kian over on Broadway. ”
“That’s where I recognized you from!” Gray snapped his fingers in an aha gesture.
"How long have you been dancing for anyway? I was watching you earlier, you're amazing!" Gray gushed and then blushed as he realized how he sounded, but thankfully Natsu didn't say anything about his little outburst.
"Uhm, It feels like forever?" Natsu scratched his head as he thought, shrugging when he couldn't come up with a number. His watch began to beep, and he focused his attention back on Wendy, stifling a laugh as he realized she'd fallen asleep.
"Poor kid, it looks like I tired her out. I'm gonna take the ice pack off her ankle now, and then I can drive you guys home."
“Oh, no, you don’t have to do that,” Gray protested, feeling guilty that he’d forgotten all about his sister as he talked to the guy he most definitely had a crush on.
“I really do, she shouldn’t put any weight on her ankle for a while,” Natsu reasoned as he removed the ice pack, getting up to clean it before putting it back into the freezer.
“Besides, how else am I gonna find out where you live?” He added in a teasing tone.
“You want to know where I live?” Gray asked in surprise.
“Among other things, yeah,” Natsu grinned.
Gray wasn't sure what to make of that response, so he tried to play it cool, "Well, okay then, if it's not too much trouble."
“It’s not a big deal,” Natsu assured him, “Grab Wendy, I have to close up the studio real quick.”
Natsu grabbed his bag and draped it over his arm. He walked through the studio, turning off all the lights as Gray followed behind him carrying his sleeping sister in his arms. After locking up the studio for the night, they walked over to Natsu's car.
Wendy woke up when Gray tried to put the seat belt on her, confused about her surroundings but rather cheerful to see Natsu was still with them.
The short ride home was spent with Wendy firing question after question at Natsu while Gray tried not to stare as he offered directions.
He'd hoped to be able to talk to Natsu some more, but to his disappointment, he saw his father was outside smoking a cigarette. As soon as the car parked in the driveway, Silver Fullbuster walked up to them.
“Is everything okay?”
“Daddy!” Wendy undid her seatbelt and lowered the window, “I got my first dancer’s injury, I’m a real dancer now!”
“Is that so?” Silver smiled at Wendy’s enthusiasm. He peered into the driver’s seat and recognized Natsu, “Oh hey, Natsu! What happened?”
"She took a fall and sprained her ankle, I didn't want her to put any weight on it, so I offered to drive them home," Natsu hurried to explain, "She should be fine in a day or two, there wasn't much swelling."
"Well, thanks for that," Silver peered into the car as he got Wendy and picked her up, "Gray, are you getting out?"
"Uhm, yeah," Gray replied quickly, grabbing the handle and opening the door, "It was nice to meet you."
"Oh, hey, did you want to stay for dinner?" Silver asked, "My other son won't be here, so there should be plenty."
“I wouldn’t want to impose,” Natsu answered politely.
“Nonsense, I insist.”
Gray could almost kiss his dad, he was so thrilled to get to spend more time with his new friend. Okay, calling Natsu a friend might be pushing it, but whatever he was still happy.
Natsu turned off his car and got out, following them inside.
“Gray, could you let Ul know we have a guest?”
Silver put Wendy down on the sofa and handed her the remote while he went upstairs to check on his wife.
"Yeah," Gray replied, leaving Natsu with Wendy as he headed into the kitchen.
“Who the hell is that?” Ultear whispered as she peeked at Natsu through the kitchen door.
“That’s Natsu, Wendy’s dance teacher, he’s staying for dinner.”
“That’s Wendy’s dance teacher?!” Ultear marveled as she gave him a thorough once over, “Damn he’s hot, all this time I thought it was some old lady. Do you think he teaches adults?”
“Hey! Back off!” Gray snapped at his twin sister.
"Oh, ho!" Ultear immediately teased, "Got a crush already? Damn, I should have taken Wendy to her class and made *you* cook!"
“It’s bad enough you’re going to poison him with your cooking,” Gray stuck his tongue out at his sister before rummaging through the cabinets and drawers, collecting all the things necessary to set the table.
“For your information, I made lasagna, so no one is getting poisoned tonight,” Ultear protested, punching her brother in the shoulder.
Gray laughed, "Well, thank God for that, I might have a chance if he doesn't think about throwing up every time he thinks of me."
Ultear smirked and muttered something under her breath as Gray left to set the table.
“Hey, I heard that!”
Ultear giggled and went back to preparing the salad she’d been working on.
xxx
"It means summer in Japanese, my parents met in Japan in the summer, so they thought it would be romantic to name me that."
Gray could hear Natsu talking to his parents as he set the table and went into the living room to join them, watching with a bit of envy as Wendy draped her head over Natsu's shoulder which he didn't seem to mind.
Throughout the conversation, he learned that Natsu's mother had passed away a few years ago, and he was an only child. Before they could ask Natsu any more questions, Ultear called them to the table.
"So, Natsu, what made you decide to start dancing?" Silver asked in between bites, "It's an odd choice for a boy, isn't it?"
“Dad!” Ultear and Gray chorused, both utterly mortified by their father’s comment.
Natsu chuckled, “It’s fine, he’s right. My mom was a professional dancer, she’s the one who first taught me. I like to think it keeps her close to me.”
“I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to bring that up,” Silver apologized, “Do you go to the same school as Gray?”
"I don't go to school actually, I'm homeschooled," Natsu announced, not seeming uncomfortable in the slightest by his father's questions. He took a bite out of the lasagna, and his face lit up, "This is really good!"
“Thank you! At least someone appreciates my cooking,” Ultear glowed at the compliment.
“We mostly get take out since neither my dad nor I really know how to cook, so thanks for this,” Natsu rewarded Ultear with one of his wide and toothy grins and Gray could practically feel her melting next to him.
They got through the rest of dinner mostly unscathed, although Gray did learn that Natsu had ADHD and the reason he didn’t go to school is he’d gotten into trouble a lot with his teachers because of it.
Natsu had to leave after dinner, and Ultear sent him home with a plate for his father which he accepted gratefully. He said goodbye to everyone and asked Gray to walk him to his car.
Gray trudged after him wondering what Natsu wanted to talk to him about, but excited to get to spend some time alone with him.
Natsu waited until they were outside before blurting out, "So, are we engaged now?"
“What?!” Gray stammered in consternation.
Natsu’s slapped his thigh as he took in Gray’s panicked expression, his laugh loud and warm as he quickly assured Gray, “Relax, I was just joking. Dinner was nice.”
“Besides, what makes you think I’d be interested,” Gray grumbled, trying to hide his excitement at the fact that Natsu seemed to be just as interested in him.
“Well for one, I’m pretty sure the looks you were giving me at the studio might be illegal in at least ten states,” Natsu retorted, green eyes sparkling with amusement.
Gray’s face turned ashen as his hopes that Natsu hadn’t noticed his ogling were shattered.
“So, are you going to make me wait until next week to see you again, or can I ask you out on a date, seeing as your sister never actually sprained her ankle.”
“What are you talking about?”
“I’ve been teaching your sister for months, and while she can be clumsy at times that fall was obviously faked,” Natsu reported then added with an eye roll, “Not to mention she showed me the wrong ankle.”
"If you didn't think it was real, why did you go to all the trouble to treat it?"
"Well, she's a good kid, and she went to all the trouble, I figured I'd see what you were about," Natsu showed the first hint of shyness as he admitted his intentions.
Gray didn’t know how to respond to that, but he liked the way Natsu could switch from being cocky to shy in the blink of an eye. He decided to ask him something instead, “Why do you like dancing so much? I mean when I was watching you had this look on your face…”
“Well part of it is it reminds me of my mom, but it’s more than that,” Natsu explained looking into Gray’s eyes as he added, “When I was little she taught me that dancing wasn’t really about the steps, it was about freedom and expressing joy with your body. That’s what I hold onto.”
“She sounds amazing,” Gray spoke quietly.
“She was,” Natsu looked sad for a minute but then tilted his head to look into Gray’s eyes as he asked, “So do you really think dancing is stupid?”
Gray was embarrassed at being called out on his earlier words, but he was definitely enjoying having Natsu's eyes on him. He answered honestly, "No, not anymore. I know it's corny, but when I watched you, you made me feel like dancing too."
Gray felt like he’d won a prize when he saw Natsu’s eyes light up at his answer,
"So…uhm date. Yes or no?" Natsu asked, still looking a tad nervous, "Maybe I could show you a few moves."
“I’d like that, you busy Friday night?”
“I am now,” Natsu looked relieved as he took his phone out of his pocket so they could exchange numbers.
Natsu got into his car after promising to call the next day. On a whim, Gray leaned in and kissed him chastely on the lips before gently tapping the hood of the car and waving. “See you Friday.”
Gray snickered at the look of utter astonishment on Natsu’s face, that was immediately followed by a devious smile. It was the type of smile that implied mischief, and suddenly Gray couldn’t wait until Friday, he got the feeling their relationship would be an interesting one.

“H-Hey,” He greets Uraraka, voice wavering from the chills raking his body.
“Are you okay, Deku?” She asks with a sweet smile, tilting her head to the side.
“Y-Yeah, just cold. Forgot my jacket.” Midoriya shrugs with a wobbly smile. Uraraka shakes her head with a fond smile before continuing to the entrance.
“Well c'mon! Let's get to class before you freeze!” She jokes, causing Midoriya to scoff a laugh as he follows his friend.

“Is there a problem, icyhot?” Bakugou crosses his arms over his chest, glaring. Kirishima and Midoriya stop kissing to look at the other two.
“N-No, everything is fine.” Todoroki clears his throat, forcing himself to look up at Bakugou, but the blonde can see the strain.
“Fuckin’ liar.” Bakugou growls, eyes narrowing even more. Kirishima moves quickly.
“Babe, relax.” Kirishima steps between Bakugou and the other couple, hands gripping at Bakugou’s forearms.

27th December 2019

________________________________________________________________
Season of Giving
Todoroki quietly unlocks the door to the small apartment, tip toeing around scattered shoes and jackets. Removing his hero boots, Todoroki lets out a tired sigh. He rubs his eyes and stifles a yawn, taking a look around the living room. The tree is unlit, the room incredibly dark. It’s saddening to see as Todoroki remembers the last minute mission he was sent on Christmas Eve, leaving his boyfriend home for two days. His heart squeezes as he continues looking around, eyes falling to the hall leading to the back of the apartment. He breathes out a laugh at Midoriya’s costume on the floor, piece by piece left in a row towards their bedroom.
He hangs his jacket on the hook by the door before following the clothing trail to his shared bedroom with Midoriya. He considers taking his boyfriend’s idea and removing articles of his hero costume as he walks down the hall, but holds back so there is only Midoriya’s dirty clothes to clean tomorrow.
The bedroom door is cracked, indicating Midoriya didn’t shut it all the way when he got home. Quietly pushing the door open, Todoroki smiles fondly at the sight of his lover, lying on top of their comforter in only pajama pants, soft snores falling from his slightly gaping mouth. He’s curled inwards, like he’s trying to find warmth, facing the middle of the bed.
Without a second thought, Todoroki’s socked feet walk to the edge of the mattress and leans over Midoriya’s back to press a light kiss to his cheek. Midoriya’s nose twitches in acknowledgement before he lets out a content sigh, body looking a bit more relaxed as though he knew his lover was home.
Sending a last, loving smile at Midoriya, Todoroki makes his way to the adjoining bathroom and takes a quick shower, scrubbing at the dirt and dried blood on his body. He winces whenever he puts too much pressure on a forming bruise before moving onto the next part of filthy skin.
Less than ten minutes later, Todoroki has a towel wrapped around his waist as he shuffles through his dresser drawer, searching for something to wear to bed.
“Sho?” A deep, sleepy voice calls out behind him in the dead silence, causing Todoroki to jump out of his skin. He quickly turns around, finding Midoriya beginning to sit up, scrubbing the sleep from his vibrant eyes. “You ‘ome?”
Todoroki huffs a quick breathe. “Yeah,” he whispers, holding the towel against his body and walking to meet his sleepy boyfriend. Midoriya twists so his legs are dangling off the edge, feet just touching the floor, leaving Todoroki a space to sit beside him.
The fire and ice user immediately takes a seat, wrapping his free arm around the smaller male, drawing him closer. The two sit there in comfortable silence for a couple moments and Todoroki thinks Midoriya had fallen back asleep, but was pleasantly surprised when he felt soft lips come in contact with his cheek.
“Get dressed and meet me in the living room.” Midoriya whispers before standing and walking out of the bedroom.
Todoroki doesn’t get to reply and only sends a questioning eyebrow in the direction where his boyfriend went. Once he realizes his lover wasn’t returning, Todoroki sighs and stands, going back to the dresser, continuing his search for something to wear.
His hair brushed and lower body dressed, Todoroki makes his way to the living room. He doesn’t notice until he’s in the room itself, but the small bulbs are brightly shining on the tree, the only source of light coming from the Christmas tradition. Midoriya is bent at the waist, rearranging gifts that had been left by friends and family for the lovers. Todoroki clears his throat and Midoriya snaps up straight.
With a shy smile, he beckons Todoroki over, holding out his left  hand for the other to grab, while his right is hiding behind his back. Once Todoroki is standing beside his freckled love, Midoriya looks into his eyes.
“Merry Christmas, Sho.” Todoroki feels an item placed into his free hand and when he looks down, he finds a neatly wrapped square, with a tag hanging off with To Shouto written on it.
Todoroki smiles before releasing Midoriya and walking around the back of the tree, picking up a small Christmas bag and coming back to give it to Midoriya, who takes it with a beaming, yet tried smile.
The two sit on the couch, facing inward towards each other. Without another word, they open their gifts together.
Midoriya is the first to gasp as he pulls out a figurine with the two heroes, back-to-back in fighting stances. He brings it closer to his face, taking in every little detail: his own freckles, Todoroki’s scar, green lightning surrounding his plastic body and small bits of fire and ice coming from action figure Todoroki’s hands. He sets it in his lap and looks up, ready to thank his boyfriend with glossy eyes, but stops when he sees small tears sliding down Todoroki’s cheeks.
Midoriya scoots closer, body radiating with nervous energy as he takes in the unusual stay of his partner. Feeling eyes on him, Todoroki finally glances up at Midoriya, a slightly watery smile fitting across his face.
“Sho-”
“We’re going to America?” Todoroki interrupts, amazement shining in his eyes, as well as confusion and love.
“W-Well, yeah. You had mentioned when I came back from there that you wished you could’ve came, that you’d like to visit there one day. And we’ve been working so much, so I got to save up, and I thought we could maybe use the break. So I spoke with the agency a while ago and got us two weeks in January to go across the seas, visit a couple monumental places,” Midoriya rants, explaining how this all came to be while Todoroki stares between him and the tickets in surprise. “B-But we don’t have to! I can probably get a refund for the tickets and let the agency know we don’t nee-” Midoriya’s anxious mumbling is cut off by Todoroki’s lips on his. They stay like that for a long moment, before Todoroki pulls back a little, resting his forehead against Midoriya’s.
“It’s perfect, Izuku.” Midoriya smiles and Todoroki gives him another sweet kiss. “I can’t wait.”

This is in response to a request through @fuckyeahgratsu ! The original request:
Tumblr media
@chii-kyeora I hope you enjoy!!
“Come on, Natsu!” Happy flew to Natsu’s back, grasping the mage’s vest in their tiny paws, pulling as hard as they could. Natsu chuckles.
“I’m almost done, Happy,” Natsu tries calming the blue cat. “Why are you in such a rush? We’re not supposed to meet Gray for another twenty minutes.” Natsu cuts the peanut butter and jelly sandwiches in front of him in half, then wraps them in a napkin, before placing it in the picnic basket on the table.
“But Gray said he’d bring me fish!” Happy continues tugging on Natsu’s clothes, the fire breather barely feeling their efforts.
“Alright, alright.” Natsu dismisses Happy, grabbing a couple water bottles to throw in the basket, before closing it up. Happy lets go of Natsu and floats in front of him, staring with wide, hopeful eyes. Natsu stares back for a moment before saying, “Well, let’s go than!”
Happy’s face lights up, and they zooms to the front door, pushing it open and flying out into the open. Natsu follows behind, laughing loudly.
-
Gray walked along the riverbank, a folded blanket under his right arm, and a plastic bag in his left hand. There’s a ghost of a smile on his face as memories of his dragon slayer flood his mind. His stomach has small butterflies as he nears the destination where he is to meet Natsu and Happy. Gray searches the surrounding area, only to find he’s alone.
Finding the biggest tree, Gray sets the bag aside, and unravels the blanket, laying it neatly on the ground under the shade. He nods to himself, satisfied with the placement before grabbing the bag of goodies he brought. Just as he’s about to sit down, Gray’s ears pick up the familiar sound of his boyfriend’s laugh. Don’t need dragon hearing to find that loud bastard.
Gray turns away from the water, looking behind himself to find Happy floating beside Natsu, who’s walking towards him. The closer Natsu gets, the clearer his expressions are.
Gray’s heart stutters as he sees his favorite grin spread wide across Natsu’s face.
“There he is, Natsu!” Happy’s shrill voice is heard. Their wings flap harder to get closer to where Gray is, body shaking with excitement. “I told you we were going to be late!” They glare at their best friend before flying ahead so Natsu couldn’t respond.
Natsu shakes his head, huffing under his breath, and picks up the pace. As he reaches Gray and Happy, he overhears their conversation.
“Natsu insisted we weren’t going to be late!” Gray laughs at Happy’s buzzing energy before petting their furry head.
“I mean, you weren’t late,” Gray looks up at Natsu at the edge of the blanket, a soft blush on his cheeks. “I was just, early.” Natsu smirks.
“Excited to see me, ice princess?” Natsu sets the basket down before stretching his arms behind his head.
“In your dreams, Flame Brain,” Gray rolls his eyes, but the redness reaching his ears says otherwise. Natsu scoffs before sitting down.
Gray sits closest to the tree, his plastic bag on the grass at the edge of the blanket; Natsu sits beside Gray, their knees touching. Happy sits in front, facing both of them, as the two mages face the river they used to fight by as children.
“Soooooo,” Happy rubs their paws together, looking at Gray with wide eyes. “What kind of fish did you bring me?!”
Gray laughs. “I have tuna, cod and salmon.” Gray pulls containers holding said fish out of his bag and sets them in between the three of them. Literal hearts are in Happy’s eyes as they stare at their lunch. Their small paws reach of the cod while in a trance, until Natsu lightly slaps their greedy appendages.
“Happy,” Natsu starts, sternly. The blue exceed looks at their friend, a small amount of betrayal shining in their eyes. “What do you say?” Natsu raises an eyebrow, not backing down.
Happy’s eyebrows raise before their head snaps towards Gray. “Thank you, Gray!” The little cat spreads his wings, flying into Gray’s chest to give the ice wizard a hug.
Gray chuckles, patting Happy on the back. “You’re welcome, Happy,” The exceed lets go, and returns to their spot on the blanket, then looks at Natsu with hopeful eyes.
Before the fire mage can finish nodding, Happy is ripping of the top of the first container, quickly eating the cod, moaning in delight. Gray and Natsu laugh.
“Alright, flame brain,” Gray looks over at his boyfriend. “What did you bring?” Natsu pulls the basket into his lap, opening the lid.
“Just some peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, apples, and a small cherry pie that I asked Mira to make.” Natsu takes out each item, a pink flush down his neck. “Sorry it’s nothing special.” Natsu shrugs his shoulders, avoiding Gray’s eyes.
“Doesn’t have to be if I’m with you,” Gray speaks before he can think, and only realizes what he said when Natsu looks at him with wide eyes and mouth ajar. Gray matches that expression, unsure of what else to say.
Natsu can see the internal struggle Gray is in and tries to rid him of his misery. “Good, because I feel the same,” Natsu’s voice starts strong, then results to a whisper as he admits the same thing.
The wizards keep eye contact for a few silent moments, before Gray leans over and grabs a sandwich. Natsu huffs a playful laugh, unwrapping his own food and taking a bite. The two mages fall into easy conversation, while Happy devours his own lunch.
-
Happy snores softly, sprawled like a starfish on the blanket, whispering, “Yummy fishies. My fishy Natsu. Yummy fishies.” They mumble the mantra, as Natsu and Gray lay side by side, staring at the darkening sky above them. They are holding hands, Gray’s thumb rubbing slow circles against the fire mages skin.
“Six months, ice princess,” Natsu is the first to break the quiet. Gray blushes.
“Yeah, went by kind of fast,” Gray’s voice is low, not wanting to wake Happy, but to also keep the calmness surrounding them.
“True,” Natsu chuckles, then sighs. “Wish it would slow down.” Gray hums in agreement, and the silence returns for a couple moments.
Natsu turns on his side, facing Gray, without letting go of the ice mage’s cool hand. Gray tilts his head in Natsu’s direction, an eyebrow raised and a flush down his neck.
“What?” Gray asks, the red on his skin increasing under Natsu’s wandering gaze. The pinkett grins.
“Nothin’.” Gray huffs in annoyance and turns back to the sky, though he can clearly feel Natsu’s smoldering eyes on him. The ice-make wizard allows the staring for a couple more minutes, hoping Natsu would get bored and give up, but he had no such luck.
Gray abruptly turns on his side, glaring at Natsu. “Why’re you staring at me?” Gray growls.
Natsu’s playful expression turns to one of contentment and adoration. Gray’s features soften at the sudden change in atmosphere, but he doesn’t back down.
Just as Gray’s about to ask again, Natsu says, “I love you.”
Navy blue, wide eyes stare at the fiery man, mouth agape in shock. There are a couple beats before Gray finds his voice again.
“Y-you.. You,” But just because he could speak, didn’t mean it would make sense.
Natsu giggles. “What’s wrong, ice princess? Finally don’t have a response?” Natsu smirks, returning to his position on his back, letting go of his boyfriend’s hand, and puts his arms behind his head, closing his emerald eyes.
Gray shakes his head and leans up onto his elbow, staring down at Natsu’s abnormally calm aora. “Do you mean that?” Gray’s voice is frantic, scared almost, and it causes Natsu to peek an eye open.
“Of course I do, idiot.” Natsu sighs loudly, closing his eye once again. Gray just stares at his boyfriend, unsure of what to do with this new information.
Natsu can feel the tense energy radiating off Gray, and understands his boyfriend’s reaction a bit better now. Slowly opening his eyes, Natsu stares up at Gray lovingly. The fire user lifts his right hand, cupping Gray’s cheek in his palm.
“You don’t have to say anything back, but I want you to know,” Natsu pauses, making sure Gray is listening clearly. “I love you.” He enonicates each word, trying to get the emotion across.
Gray opens and closes his lips so much. Natsu fears Happy will mistaken his boyfriend for a fish. Laughing softly, Natsu leans up and kisses Gray gently. A small whine escapes the ice user’s mouth when Natsu pulls away, who snickers.
“Come on, icicle,” Natsu shoves at Gray’s shoulder to sit up himself. “Lets get packed up and head home.” Natsu stretches with a groan before looking over at Gray, who’s still a bit stiff. Natsu sighs and takes chilly hands into his own. “You can come over for a bit, if you want.” Natsu figures Gray may not want to be alone right now, so he lays out the offer just in case.
Gray nods and stands, picking up empty bags and used napkins, throwing them in his original plastic bag to throw out. The two continue cleaning until the only thing left is Happy still sleeping soundly on the blanket. Natsu and Gray look at each other, sharing a chuckle, before the fire mage picks up his buddy, while Gray folds the comforter. Soon enough, they’re on the track to Natsu’s home.
Natsu brings Happy to their small bedroom and places them on the hammock in the corner. Happy immediately curls into themself as Natsu lays a blanket over them. With a sweet smile, Natsu turns out the light and quietly closes the door.
When Natsu enters the living room, Gray is on the couch wringing his hands, but stands once he hears his boyfriend enter, walking straight up to him. Natsu jumps and stares in shock at the sudden energy.
“Wha-” But he’s interrupted by Gray.
“I-I’m sorry for how I reacted earlier,” Gray avoids eye contact with Natsu, but doesn’t hold back from holding the dragon slayer’s hands, needing something to ground him.
“Gray, it’s oka-” Natsu tries, but Gray speaks up again.
“I love you too,” Natsu sputters while Gray blushes furiously. “And I know I’m a bit messed up because of my past, and you’ve been so supportive and caring through it all, but I know I love you, and I want you to know that nothing will hold me back from telling you that, and reminding you everyday.” Gray lets out a long breath, eyes closing in the middle of his rant, fingers tightening around Natsu’s.
Without another word, Natsu squeezes Gray’s hands, causing the ice mage to open his eyes. Natsu beams, a sparkle in his eye. Gray relaxes.
“Then let’s get to bed, popsicle,” Natsu smirks. “And you can show me what you mean.” Gray chuckles, incredibly thankful for having someone like Natsu all for himself.
“Lead the way, flame brain,” He gives a cheeky grin, lightly smacking Natsu’s rear as they quickly retreat to the bedroom in the back, door shutting and locking behind them.

A Helping Arm
a helping arm by Lizxcliff
Midoriya tucks his chin to his chest, arms wrapping around himself. He squeezes his eyes shut, thinking of hot chocolate and warm blankets, mentally hoping he'll be able to rid himself of the bitter cold.
Suddenly, the entire left side of Midoriya's body thaws, a pleasant heat taking place of the ice that was forming on his skin. His eyes snap open, head whipping to the left.
Flush against his arm is a blank-faced Todoroki, whose staring straight ahead as if the close proximity was completely normal. Midoriya keeps his eyes trained on Todoroki, waiting for some sort of reaction or explanation from the ice and fire user.

“Sho?” Midoriya calls out to Todoroki who looks back at him with wide eyes. “What’s going on?”
Todoroki nibbles at his lip, nerves sky-rocketing at the silence in the room as the other three wait for his response.
“I-I just, nothing, just a little, um, nervous, I guess.”
