When we think of Mario and Peach's chemistry in the games, any rescue scene is usually what comes to mind. But there's one bit of Mareach interaction I just had to talk about because it's honestly one of my all-time favorite moments with these two.

The introduction sequence of Luigi's Mansion 3.

We see our characters on a bus ride, and the two of them are sitting side by side. Peach appears to be laughing at something Mario said, and they're both having a great time. All goes smoothly until Toad swerves to the right, causing the passengers to lose their balance and bump into each other.

It takes them a second to steady themselves, and the first thing Mario does as he opens his eyes again is glance at Peach with a smile. But it's not his trademark grin. His expression is quite softer than usual, and meeker too.

Even rarer still: he then lets out a timid chuckle. Something I've personally never seen him do in any other game. He's being shy, bless him. Not openly flustered or delighted, but actually shy.

And what does Peach do? She returns his smile with a bright and gleeful "Yahoo!". An all too characteristic exclamation that she has undoubtedly borrowed from him over time.

It's a very small and brief moment. But OMG does it say a lot about their dynamic.

It captures everything that I find so very charming and endearing about their unspoken affection, and it's a very good example of how I imagine those calm and blissful moments between them to be like. The moments we never see as players, but which are surely there as well.

I wish there was one instance where we got to fully see what a pleasant and peaceful day was like for them. But if this is the closest thing we're ever going to get, then I'm okay with that.

Because this scene alone is downright adorable and it makes me very happy. 😊💞

I'm still kind of sort of upset over the lack of dialogue/reactions from anyone nearing the end of act 2 and pretty much the whole of act 3.

Like after the Gith ambush you on the road to Baldur's gate I feel like I'm shaking Gale to just talk to me about what happened as well or say something ANYTHING. LIKE YOU CAN ALSO TALK TO LAE'ZEL ABOUT IT IN FRONT OF ME PLEASE?!??!

No one really has anything to say when the Emperor can reveal that he was behind Stelmane's death and failing health. WYLL?!? HELLO???? It just doesn't make sense to me. Even if the Emperor had only revealed it to your Tav WHY wouldn't you then go over and just tell everyone in camp about it??? I wanted an option to at least tell Wyll about it since he looked up to Stelmane as a kid.

Also WHY can't I confide in anyone about the Emperor or just talk about it. I feel like Gale and Halsin would both offer some good advice on if I should trust this mindflayer or not. Gale's talk about Raphael in Act 1 was so good and I expected more conversations with him about who we should put our trust in as the game progresses. It would have been interesting to see his opinions on the Emperor after the mindflayer reveal.

Gale can also disprove of you agreeing to play along with Haarlep but the fact that he stays silent EVEN WHEN YOU'RE IN A ROMANCE WITH HIM??? He's not silent at all if you decide to cheat on him with Mizora.

sooo today is my 16th anniversary with the husbando ♡

My lifetime opportunity has finally arrived !!!

I think genuinely the best part of coffincest is that they are siblings is not even a shipcest thing but so much of their dynamic relays on them being related, there's a ton of incest ships that I think you could completely remove the family alliance and it would be the exact same dynamic

But with coffincest it is imprinted so deeply into everything they do, they used to still live in their childhood apartment and sleep on their childhood bedrooms, the few relationships they have are with other family members or childhood friends.

They have stories and memories to share with one another about school or teachers and birthdays.

Their whole lives are completely intertwined with each other.

Plus they are written in such a real manner, leaving besides the obvious incest vibes with them, they really talk to each other how a lot of siblings do, and that just adds such a level of realism to their entirely messed up relationship that enthralls me.

It's very rare for me to relate so deeply to any character as I do with Ashley, I don't even like like her or something, but she's so real to me, I really do see so many of my syntomps and worse attitudes expressed through her.

And there's something very comforting about the thought of Andrew staying with her even so, about the narrative telling you, you are not as doomed as you think you are.

I also think I just love them because I love the context they give each other, if that makes any sense, because I relate so much to Ashley's behavior she's really obvious to me, but Andrew is hard for me to fully grasp even now, so I love seeing how they behave with each other, with their parents, with girlfriends, with strangers or, on their own.

Their characters are so rich and complex that every dynamic they exhibit obsesses me.

They also can't keep their hands away from each other and that makes me rabid. (Not gonna lie me desperately wanting to fuck Andrew really helps with this.)

And incest hot and they are hot and the game is super good so of course that helps.
