Screw it, lemme post about my transfem!Genie headcanon. I have an entire multi-chapter fanfic planned for her that I one day hope to write, but for now, I'll just ramble.

This headcanon started because I was coming up with an alternate timeline where the Professor befriends the Genie, and as part of them getting closer, the Professor decides to disclose his actual name (which some people don't know... it's Concupiscence McNasty btw, Connie for short). Then, when Connie asks for the Genie's name, the Genie realizes that he, well, doesn't really have one!

Because he's a little devious, he forces Connie to guess his name, planning to use one of his guesses as his new name. At one point, Connie joked that the Genie's name is Sara (which would be a nightmare (/lh) for him if true because imagine if the person you're flirting with has the same name as your nemesis-slowly-turning-bestie 😔), but then something happens inside the Genie... a new feeling he isn't very familiar with before. He... likes being called a feminine name?

(Okay I'm gonna be so honest while I'm typing this, a lightbulb clicked in me and I'm aAAAAA-) So yeah he decides to steal Sara's name lmao much to Connie's horror, and that moment starts an entire character arc where Sara realizes that he - or rather she - is a trans woman!

About that lightbulb moment: I was gonna have her named as Yazrin immediately after the Sara joke via the Professor helping the Genie find the name through a bunch of googling, but I'm now thinking that Yazrin can get her actual name later in the fanfic 'cause some trans people, like me, go through a period of choosing different names before they settle on one that really speaks to them.

Part of her character arc is not just becoming a woman but also transforming (hah) from an edgy little misanthrope who uses sarcasm and distance as a deflection tactic to one of the most genuine, optimistic beings who loves the world and everyone in it, and maybe she can get her name from talking with someone she meets on the street after helping them?

Maybe that person has a friend or a daughter named Yazrin who passed away, and as a sort of tribute to them, that person suggests Yazrin to name herself that, and Yazrin is very honored to do that in a way. Also, Yazrin is just a really good name, y'know? :>

Happy Belated New Year everyone! This is my first art piece of the year and one I've wanted to do for a while. It is an addition to my Genies n Ships seres featuring Jordan and Jay from Disney's Descendants Wicked World.

Descendants started as a live action movie featuring some of the kids of famous Disney characters including Jay who is the son of Jafar. After the second movie (if I recall correctly) it got an animated spin-off called Descendants: Wicked World which is where Jordan (Genie's daughter) got her debut. There's was hints at a mutual attraction between the two in some of the novelizations for the Descendants series but I always thought they would be a cute couple and it would be romantic for the children of two people who were enemies falling for each other. I got some design details off but I hopefully did both of them justice.

A tease for my next big piece is that features the Uplifted, animals from my Centauri universe that were modified to have human-level sapience.

Descendants and it's spin-offs belong to Disney.

"I'm now apart of the WHAT now?" Reza asked, pure bafflement written all over his usually apathetic face.

"The Agrabah club" Jay replied with a straight face.

Reza couldn't help but wonder if they were punking him. They had to be... right?

He honestly couldn't tell if they were serious or not since everyone but him looked as if it was perfectly reasonable club to have. Maybe they just had really good poker faces...

"And what, prey tell, does that entail?"

Reza had never been apart of a club before... Unless The Badun Detective Agency counted. Which he had a feeling it didn't.

So he didn't really have a frame of reference for what went on in a club.

He was also very surprised that they had practically kidnapped him to tell him that he was apart of their club now (was that a cult thing?). Especially since most people really couldn't seem to stand being around him.

Carlos included.

He didn't understand why Jay wanted to be in a club with him when his bestfriend hated him. Or why the others wanted him when he didn't really speak to anyone outside the Badun Detective Agency and their families.

It just didn't make any sense.

"Talking about Agrabah--" Jade started, sitting on a crate in the dark room they had brought him to.

"--eating Agrabahian food--" Jay cut in from where he was leaning against the door.

"-- celebrating Agrabahian holidays--" Aziz chimed in, not even looking up from his phone. Before Jordan took over from him.

"-- ranting about our parents--"

"--ranting about misconceptions people have--"

"--aming other things."

Reza blinked.

Had they planned that?

How many times had they given that speech?

Who's idea was this thing --

"Uh... why does this club exist?" He asked, hesitant. Worried that he was gonna get kicked out or told that this was all a joke.

"Well Jordan realized that Jay knew next to nothing about Agrabah--"

"And formed this club so that he could learn more about our culture--"

"And then it kind of turned into a rant fest and baking-culture club" Jay finished, taking over for the other two.

"Aziz's siblings are usually apart of the club too, but they couldn't make it. You'll meet them next meeting" Jade added, and Reza couldn't help but notice that she was toying with a knife that she hadn't had before.

Was she threatening him?

"Next meeting?"

"Dude what do you think a club is? Of course there's gonna be more than one meeting!"
