Took a break from studying and decided to self indulge myself with an GF X Odyssey/Epic au

Ford is now Odysseus babyyy. Basically just like in the book as well as in the musical, Ford spends 20 years away from his home Ithaca, his beloved twins Dipper and Mabel and his brother Stan who became a regent taking over Ford's place while the king was away for war and raising his niece and nephews for the last 20 years. Still figuring the other stuffs tho. Mostly based from the musical rather than the myth itself but I also took some creative liberties.

Okay so remember my Gravity Falls TMA AU I brainrotted briefly about? Well, previously when I thought of this AU, I'd joked to a few of my friends that Mabel would probably be an avatar of the Spiral because it fits with her general aesthetic (TM). Today I was back to brainrotting about the AU, and I was reconsidering what Fear would probably gravitate (get it?) towards Mabel, and if the Spiral really was a good fit. Then, it hit me: MABEL PINES IS AN AVATAR OF THE LONELY AND I AM ACTUALLY SO OBSESSED WITH THIS IDEA

I mean, Mabel has been used to having her brother, Dipper, all her life. It isn't a situation where she's always been alone like it is with Martin, it's a situation where she's literally NEVER been alone from the moment she was BORN. She's always had Dipper. And, she's shown to kind of fall apart when she realizes that they might start growing apart towards the end of season 2 in the original show.

So, when she gets Lonely'd, it's probably a similar situation, where she can feel Dipper growing apart as he seemingly adjusts so much easier to the archival assistant than she does, and finds his own friends who he spends more time with. He's spending more time trying to hang around the Archivist, paralleling how he started to spend more time around Ford, and he doesn't properly realize how much that hurts her until it's far, far too late.

"Go to sleep, nerd."

I drew this a while back, but when I had went to make it digital, my Sketchbook app crashed and I lost the file. But with the new chapter for Maternity Falls almost (finally) completed, I got inspired to go back and do it again. As well as do some full render shading.

Context: Ford is about 6-7 months along, up late reading a maternity book on child care. The light cast from Stan's lamp keeps said brother from falling asleep. So he grumbles, complaining at Ford to turn the light off and get some sleep. (His head is resting against Ford's belly because 1, he's hugging him and 2, he's listening to his niece/nephew moving around)

Well, honestly, I was having an AU idea since a pair of years buuut I've pretty busy with college stuff that I could only write ideas and some sketches, but now that I'm a bit free and seeing the GF AU proposals that were coming out, I was able to develop better to finally present to you! Well, here it its...

Fleshbag AU!

"but...what the hell is this about?"

Dipper, in a attempt to stop Weirdmaggedon, makes a deal with Bill to let out his family. But instead it was actually a trap to get rid of him through the memory eraser, a trap that goes totally wrong because the fight between the two entities (Dipper and Bill) cause an Interdimensional Collapse between the three universal planes (Real World, Mindscape and Nightmare Realm). All this the total annihilation of that universe. TOTAL. ANNIHILATION. (jsjs i'm dramatic xd) No mortal survived... except the Henchmaniacs and a being formed (both body and soul) from the remains of Dipper and Bill, called Bips. It retains diffuse memories of thier ancestors but inherited the negative aspects of both, givining them a constant insecurity. All the years go by and after a few years, They meets Axolotl, a powerful extra dimensional deity, watcher of all realities, but at the same time is a relaxed and wise being. Making a lil' deal with Bips, they embark on an edventure to explore different realities, fix thier problems and solve mysteries, in search of a posible cure to restore the Bips's Desolate dimension. As Bips tries to find his identity amidst the "duality" he was formed.

2. idk how can I tell the story, whether to make it into a comic, a fanfic, or just do it with sketches, there maybe I can do something but I really don't want to stress about this, It's a big but caaalm project that I could publish regularly apart from my other stuff. 3. About that, do you think I could make another Tumblr dedicated exclusively to the AU? More than anything to separate the content from my personal (and another fanart sjjs) work. 4. As I said earlier, it will take me time for post due to Language issures, I will try to make it as accurate as possible so you can understand. Any feedback will be very well received! And with that, I also learn apart from Duolingo (A.K.A evil green owl mwehehee) 5. And yeah, any feedback in general will be heard! I would love to read your opinions and all that xdd.

Meet Bips!

(omg the first ref sheet, i really dont know dont to do this xd!!!)

"Bips is a being formed from the remains of Bill and Dipper, a kind of "imperfect fusion" that ended up being an amalgamation of both personalities, creating a new one. Despite inheriting all the negative personalities of both, they usually maintains some positivity as an attempt to ward off as much as possible the existential crises that cause him constant anxiety."

Personality: This was also a combination of the worst of both beings, making him someone insecure, clumsy, lonely and too distrustful of his surroundings. They constantly doubts his existence and whether at some point he can go crazy like Bill. However, they also has good things, such as his desire to help himself and others, perhaps they just needs a guide to discover their own identity.

Extra Info! (and a bit of lore)

They born after the events of "the incident" (The Interdimensional Collapse), as a result of the hoax that Bill was caught by Dipper by possessing his body, instead of merging body and soul as one, almost the opposite happens and they form a creature that has its own thoughts but with identity problems, both physical and emotional, as if it were a "amalgam" of both.

When it's damaged in a greater or lesser part, they can regenerate its parts by the "blorbos", however this takes time depending on the damage caused.

The "blorbos" are what Bips calls the parts that escape from their body, those things were actually the remains that had left of Dipper and Bill's body and soul after "the incident" and had been corrupted by the place, they had come together again to rebuild what they were before.

They has a Journal (which is actually an old sketchbook) where they writes down everything that observes and finds interesting, from monsters that they sees in home, interesting places to tricks he just discovered when playing thier video games.

At first Bips did not know what he wanted to call theirselves, they only called theirselves “Pinetree”, but perhaps some circumstance made they change his mind.

Kryptos is one of the closest friends, if not, the closest friend of the entire group, despite missing his "boss", they quickly got used to having Bips in well, what seems to be his new life.

They really wants to be able to restore some life in their dimension, perhaps being their last chance to at least recover the relatives of that “human” that is part of their being (and who knows, they may be friends with the henchmaniacs).

Despite having their dorky personality, sometimes they can highlight his "bill side" a little, sometimes Axolotl accidentally encourages them to cause a lil' chaos but at least he knows when it's time to stop, between the two of them they try to regulate their chaotic sides.

They has a secret ability that I can't tell now! but as a clue I could tell you what can help them to escape!

When they has their anxiety attacks or tends to get very scared, his body begins to "melt", causing all the blobs to hide in various places.

In general is a calm bro, but one of the few things that can make really angry is that they say that “BABBA” is overrated, they is a die-hard fan of that band and will defend it at all costs, even if that means being epically humiliated xd

Loveees playing videogames in their free time, that distracts them from having his existential crises

A lil' detail! the use of "they/them" is not the exact meaning of the pronoums, as it is made by two beings and they don't know exactly who it is (or what it is), you prefer to refer both in the plural and singular way. A reference that inspires on that is Webber from Don't Starve
