OKAY THIS IS JUST A QUICK SKETCH CAUSE I DONT KNOW WHAT THE GOOFY ACTUALLY LOOKS LIKE SO I DIDNT REALLY KNOW EXACTLY WHAT TO DRAW BUT ITS THE SILLY MAN!!!! I love purple sm- idk why but I just figured his armour was relatively dark given that he has to try sneak around the service (and by sneak I mean fly around and vibe for a bit sometimes so his visor can go “aight bestie we got this part mapped 💪”) and also I kinda based it on Draxum’s armour since, u know, dude thrives off his fathers pride he’s gonna base himself somewhat off of him hkhihjhbkhjbjh-

I’ll draw some more fanart when I’m more sure of his actual design but for now here is the dude!!! (Also i don’t think he actually has goggles, it just felt wrong to draw him without them lmao especially because of the bits on the side which are totally noise cancelling headphones and you can’t change my mind-/j it did say in the fic that his mask like dims the noise of the crowd in Times Square so like- idk maybe these goggles are just straight up part of his mask-)

Also side note my Apple Pencil got to 5% battery for the first time ever whilst on the colouring process of this piece and the ANXIETY I felt was so real so uh yeah the colour scheme being the first thing I thought of is partially because of that lmao

3. What are some tropes or details that you think are very characteristic of your fics?

angst, haha. hmm. well i've been told my style is very visual? (which is funny to me bc i have aphantasia so like... i don't do mental images lol.) i love alliteration and repetition - i think a lot of my published works have some form of repetition especially. i'm sure i have more, but thats the stuff off the top of my head.

23. What’s a trope, AU, or concept you’ve never written, but would like to?

coffee shop au!!! i love a good coffee shop au and i read and talk abt it all the time but i don't think i've ever written one?? gosh i need to remedy that. also chatfic.

37. Promote one of your own “deep cut” fics (an underrated one, or one that never got as much traction as you think it deserves!). What do you like about it?

Then This is the Way it's Meant to Be, post S3 juno steel fic. the alien pov of the Ruby was super fun to write, and i've always had a soft spot for rewriting canon scenes as character studies or from different povs (most of my first fics were exactly that!)

everything written by avoidingavoidance if i'm honest haha. hard to recall and pick any singular fic, but i quickly scoured my bookmarks (i dont bookmark nearly enough shit smh) and These Broken-Hearted Beats by Grimmseye jumped out at me - the non-linearity!! the slowly unfolding mystery and horror! the nods to and utilization of canon elements! and how they say so much with so little without rambling on fucking forever. love it.

45. What’s something you’ve improved on since you started writing fic?

oh gosh thats a hard one. well, uh, English first of all lmao? fanfic has been with me since i started learning english (not my mother tongue) and yeah i've been fluent for years and years now but still. other than that, hm. probably pacing? I still get wayy purple and drag on sometimes but. plus, i've learned to do more than single-scene one-shots!

Kirishima's peaceful life on his volcanic island is put to an end when the dormant Mount Bakugou comes back to life, each eruption getting closer to the village and the crops. As panic starts to spread, people remember the old god of the volcano and the ancient tradition to offer him a sacrifice.

Kirishima doesn't buy any of this, but the older villagers seem serious. So before they kill someone in the name of a god that might not even exist, he decides to climb the volcano himself, hoping to find out what causes the eruptions.

When he turned twenty, Kirishima won the privilege of tribute, chosen for his sturdiness and unflappable spirit. The villagers wouldn’t go so far as to call him “the sun” – or risk godly vengeance – but a day never went by that he wasn’t helping someone bring in crops from the fields or carry water home from the nearby spring. If he frowned, only his parents witnessed it, because the villagers only received his blinding smile when he passed through the market. He was the ideal choice to bring the village offering for the year, for how could the Sun God resist that ready smile and shining red eyes.

5. what character that you’re writing do you most identify with?

not gonna lie, i’ve been sitting on this one for three days because i actually have no idea how to answer it. usually, i make an effort to create characters who are quite different from me—not completely different, because all of my characters have at least a little bit of me in them, but different enough that the experience of writing them is more escapism than projection. that probably says something about me, doesn’t it?

here’s something, though: i tend to identify the most with older siblings. and yes, that does include lup’s older sister energy. something about having a platonic other half who has your heart in a way people without siblings can’t really understand, who defines your life in unexpected ways and observes you, but never really makes you feel observed. someone you’d do anything for. as someone lucky enough to have a great relationship with my little sibling, i can relate.
