Silly Time

SO UH i finished it (: teehee

be kind as always as i was just having fun with it!! thank you for the love on the snippet of this... i hope you guys enjoy this silly thing!! Happy new year from me!!

It was another sunny day in the Daycare. Kids were playing and screaming in delight as they ran around.

Sun was sitting with some quieter kids at the small table, where they all drew on some colored paper with crayons. He, too, was drawing along with them. It looked rather comical as he sat there, his legs bent like a frog would sit, and in his hand a tiny crayon as he doodled on the blue piece of paper he had gotten. Sun was enjoying his day until a tiny voice spoke up at the table.

"Uhm... Mister Sun?"

Sun looked up from his drawing, his faceplate doing a silly little spin and his grin soft.

"Yes, little star Kris?"

The little girl looked down at the crayon in her tiny hand before speaking again. "I was... Wondering if you knew why Mister Moon calls the nice security guard, who comes here sometimes, for Love."

Sun trained his barely moving expression to remain still, though inside, he was shocked by this new knowledge. "Oh? Moon calls them for Love?" He tried to poke Moon's AI in his headspace, but the other remained quiet. Sun and Moon were able to communicate through their shared headspace, but the other AI moved away from Sun's poking, making him scoff internally.

"Yeah... I was just wondering because my mom and dad call each other that." Little Kris continued before going back to doodling as little kids do when they lose interest in getting an answer.

Which fit Sun fine as his inner workings were reeling, his fans kicking in. Moon had never mentioned that he was hanging out with a night guard, and especially not this one.

Sun could usually peek through Moon's eyes and be present when Moon was in control, but lately, the other AI had closed the connection, and at first, Sun thought maybe Moon just needed alone time, which was, of course, fine! But it seems there were other things at play.

But Sun couldn't ask Moon about this right now. He was working and busy as he was an excellent daycare attendant. He thought so himself, at least.

Luckily for Sun, the kids got picked up earlier today, and he decided that as soon as he had cleaned, he would poke his other half until he responded.

As Sun swept the floors and cleaned the surfaces, he heard the doors open, and the Security guard came in. The animatronic scattered to the playground to hide as he often did when this guard came around. It was not that he hated this security guard or anything. He and Moon didn't trust any of the adults. But for Moon, that might have changed.

"Hello? Moon?"

Sun was in one of the play castles, quiet as he hid in the small tower, checking his internal clock. It was indeed time for Moon to come out, and Sun could feel the other stir.

The sunny animatronic kept his white eyes on the security guard, hiding behind the castle doorway as he spoke internally.

"Oh! So now you respond to me." Sun grumbled.

"... I just woke up," Moon mumbled back in reply.

"And?! Moonie, what is this about you calling THIS security guard for 'Love'??!"

Moon groaned in the headspace. "You said you didn't like them, and I wanted to see them for myself and quickly found out you're being a dumbass."

Sun squawked in their shared space. "ME?? A DUMBASS? Moonie! The adults are not nice to us ever. I mean, you even told me you hate all the night guards and the security guards!"

Sun could feel Moon rolling his eyes. "This one's different. Let me out. They're calling for me still."

"Nuh-uh."

"... What the hell do you mean 'Nuh-uh'??" Moon growled.

"Moon? It's time to do the rounds!" The short guard called out into the empty Daycare, then removed their hat to scratch their head. "Moon? It's okay if you don't want to! Uh..."

Sun kept his eyes trained on the guard from his hiding spot.

Moon continued. "Sun! Let me out!"

"I can't believe you trust them to do those security rounds with you! They're small! weak!"

Moon scoffed. "They're nice! Now let me out!"

Sun hummed and then replied, "No."

"NO?! SUN!"

The Sunny animatronic then shut the other AI out, dooming Moon to sit back and watch as he moved down from the play castle and over to the security guard.

"Hi, Friend!" Sun said with a bright smile.

The security guard jumped in surprise and dropped their hat. "oh! Hi Sun!" they stuttered and bent down to pick the hat up. "I was wondering why the lights were still on..." They mumbled to themself.

Sun frowned, and Moon broke through. "You have never been kind to them, you wannabe jester." Sun gaped internally. Oh, how he wished he could punch his other half.

"Well! Sunshine. I got the task of cleaning the Daycare, and it took a bit longer than I thought," Sun said with a smile, but it faltered when he heard Moon's deep chuckle in the back of their shared headspace.

The guard looked at Sun with wide eyes and flushed cheeks.

Sun then realized he had given the security guard, he had avoided at all costs, a nickname, an endearing one as well. "Oh."

"Uhm... Well, if Moon isn't active, can you tell him to come find me once you're done?" The guard- ["-Sunshine." Moon supplied with a smirk in this tone.]

Sun groaned lightly, running a hand down his faceplate before smiling at the guard. "Or we could go together?"

Moon growled in the back of his head. "You cannot take my time! Sun! Go turn off the lights. Now."

Sunshine, the guard, looked shocked; it looked like this was so out of pocket for Sun to suggest. "Oh!... Are you able to leave the Daycare?" They curiously asked.

Sun hummed. "Yes, of course! If Moon can leave, why shouldn't I also be able?" he asked with a spin of his faceplate, causing Sunshine to let out a flustered giggle.

"True... Well, alright, if Moon doesn't mind," They said with a smile. Sun smiled sweetly as he heard Moon complain angrily, wandering around in their headspace. "He doesn't mind at all, Sunshine! It will be good for us to get to know each other!" He held his hand out to them, which they grabbed with a shy smile.

"Ooooo, when I get you, Sun." Moon hissed quietly in their shared head, to which the sunny side of the animatronic let out a quiet chuckle before looking down at Sunshine and guiding them to the massive doors at the entrance to the Daycare.

The two left the Daycare hand in hand to do security rounds. Maybe Moon was right about this one, Sun thought as he glanced down at the guard as they walked together.

This time it was different.

Not that Sun ever wanted to give Moon right, but perhaps he could let this guard close to them.

Just this one time.

Author’s Note: Changing up how I’m styling the title of my fics slightly! I wrote this instead of sleeping. Also, thank you anon for the request! I appreciate you! Also most of my fics are set in the older style of MrBeast videos as opposed to the newer ones just because I miss when it was his friends competing instead of random people LOL Also I know I haven’t posted a fic in two weeks, shhh…

Everything was going smoothly, he’d spent a lof of time in preparation for this upcoming video, a challenge whereas to win, a sort obstacle course race must be completed. Nolan completely understood the challenge he was faced with, though he may have underestimated the difficulty of it.

Upon looking at the race in person, he could see it would give him a plethora of challenges and problems. It also looked overwhelming, slightly dangerous. Jimmy spent a lot of time already reassuring him and the rest of their friends it would be fine and if God forbid something did happen, they'd be able to safely resolve the issue.

You would've gone to watch Nolan compete, you normally did, except this time you had plans that you needed to get done, having put them off for months now. You could easily expect a few updates from Nolan throughout the day though, he was constantly checking in.

The first part of the course was easy. He just had to not fall and get to the other side. Among him and his friends, everyone was able to make it easily, a few sly remarks from Kris and Karl, but Nolan knew it was all in good fun.

The second part seemed much more terrifying than the first, it looked harder too.

This course was longer, and it consisted of having to run, dodge, and balance at multiple areas.

He didn't get a lot of time to process what he had been looking at when Jimmy called out saying it was time to go.

He started out strong, actually, he was quite far in the lead compared to the rest of the group.

Karl was a close second, calling out to him and making joking banter towards Nolan. That was however, when things started to take a turn for the worst.

Nolan's foot caught against a bit of the course where the ground came up, causing him to trip. At first glance you'd assume he'd have been able to get up and carry on, no big deal. However as he fell, his knee scraped one of the nearby obstacles, sharp enough to break skin, even through the material of his pants.

Immediately he sat up, clutching his knee. He held back curse words and bit down on his lip to try to mask the pain.

Karl saw him first and immediately rushed over towards him.

"Woah- Hey, are you okay?" Karl urged.

Nolan just shook his head, moving his hands to see how bad the cut was. It wasn't so deep he would need immediate medical attention, however it was deep enough to form a nasty cut, and draw a decent amount of blood.

"Jimmy- Hey we need to stop, Nolan's hurt," Karl called over.

Jimmy wasted no time on listening to Karl, putting everything about the video on the back burner. He rushed over to where Nolan was sat on the ground. A few people from around set had rushed over with first aid supplies, being more than prepared for the incident.

"Can someone call Y/N?" Nolan asked to no one in particular. He allowed the people who rushed over to help clean up his knee, wincing a little at the pain from all the movement.

"Yeah- yeah, I'll give Y/N a call," Kris reassured, pulling out her phone and moving quickly to get to her contacts list.

Meanwhile, you had been sat in your car, parked in front of the grocery store. You had been scrolling through your phone momentarily before getting a call from... Kris?

It was odd, and you wondered why she would be calling if she was meant to be filming with everyone right now.

You answered, a little worried and concerned.

"Hello?" You asked as you pressed the phone to your ear.

"Hey, Y/N, can you come to the set right now?"

"Uhm, I'm a little busy, why? Is everything okay?" You asked, concern filling your voice more and more as you wondered what the issue was.

"Nolan's hurt- He's okay, he didn't like break anything or anything like that, but he fell, and his knee's kind of fucked up now," Kris explained, hurrying to tell you that he was okay, knowing you would worry.

"He asked for someone to call you," She added.

"Okay, oh my God, thanks Kris, I'm on my way," You said, ending the call and putting your phone away.

You sighed, knowing that it was probably going to be okay, you reminded yourself that Kris told you Nolan didn’t break anything and was okay except for the fact he got hurt. You were about fifteen minutes out from where the set was, and you could only do so much to get there quickly with all the traffic.

Back at the shoot, a medical team continued to try and get the bleeding to stop. It was slowing down…slowly, and it hurt like hell.

“Did you call Y/N?” He asked Kris when he saw her show back up beside him.

“Yeah, she’s coming,” She replied.

The reassurance that fell over his body at the news you were on your way was visible to anyone who paid attention. It was no secret that he was extremely dependent on you, and that was fine, it wasn’t like you minded him clinging to you any time something happened. It was cute.

When you got there, the first person you saw was Jimmy, who greeted you and was immediately guiding you over to where Nolan was.

It looked…worse than what you imagined in your head, which made you panic slightly, seeing all these medical professionals around your boyfriend. It seemed excessive.

“Hey, you okay?” You asked him, sitting down beside him.

Immediately he pulled you into a hug, wincing slightly when he had to move his leg.

“What happened?” You asked him.

“I fell, cut my knee pretty bad,” He replied.

“We’ll go home as soon as they’re done, okay?”

He was about to object, saying he wanted to continue the video, but before he could, his friends all seemed to agree that was for the best.

You waited with him, allowing him to rest his head against yours while the medical team seemed to finally be finishing up after what felt like ages.

They explained that he may have a bit of a difficulty walking since the cut was pretty nasty, but it should heal up in no time, which you thanked God for.

“Ready?” You asked him, starting to stand up as you reached your hand down to help him up.

He nodded, grabbing your hand. You helped him up the best you could. He inhaled sharply at the slight pressure being put onto his knee.

You allowed him to use you to lean on and help balance, saying goodbye to everyone and getting to your car.

“Thanks for coming so quickly,” He thanked you.

You shook your head, “Why are you thanking me for that?”

“Because I know you were busy today is all,” He said, shrugging a little.

“Never busy if you’re hurt,” You smiled softly, leaning over and kissing him gently.

Papyrus week! April 16 – April 22

Greetings! This is the first time I ever prepare an event, so trust me I will not be any good at it, but I really love Papyrus and I’ve always wanted to participate in a week appreciation about him, so I might as well make one myself!

The tag for this event will be #papyrusweek2023 and it will start on April 16 and end on April 22

Rules:

-This event is for Undertale Papyrus, you can include your own version of Deltarune Papyrus too, but I would prefer the focus wasn't on AUs. However, Papyrus redesigns or human versions of the character are the exception, absolutely post these if you want!

-I want to keep this event sfw, please don't post any suggestive or nsfw content in the papyrus week tag

-Please I ask that you do not draw yellowface Frisk and/or Kris if you include either of them

-No misgendering of characters, not any erasure of characters’s canon identities, no bigotry or hate of any kind

-If you make content about the no mercy run or a couple of neutral runs do tag it properly, it can be upsetting to see for some people

-Of course, inc*st and p*dophilia are not allowed, get out of here. Yes, this includes Frisk and Chara, they are children. This includes Flowey too, there is debate on how old he is but he very clearly behaves like a child, and whether you agree or not I do NOT want to see him being shipped with Papyrus, keep that content out of this event

-While I didn't include a 'ship' day you can absolutely draw ship content, Papyton is allowed here or any other ship (that is normal and doesn’t involve inc*st or p*dophilia. I would prefer to not see selfcest either)

-You can pretty much do anything: drawings, fics, character analyses, videos, music, etc. Have fun!

April 16, day 1: Hobbies and Jobs

Let's start with an easy one: Papyrus's interest in puzzles, cooking and the royal guard! Papyrus cares deeply about anything he is interested in, even beyond the examples I just mentioned (being cool online, cars, etc). There is even a possibility for him to be The Monster Ambassador! Lots of things to choose, pick whichever you want!

April 17, day 2: Battles

You're blue now, that's his attack. Papyrus's fight is really interesting isn't it? He has so many cool attacks, he's the only monster able to not kill you, and he might be incredibly strong...? It's a shame we couldn't see his special blaster attack, but if you want you want, you could show us! Or maybe even more interesting ideas for different Papyrus battles! Or simply appreciate the one we have and listen to Bonetrousle all day

April 18, day 3: Family

Papyrus has a really cool brother, not as cool as he is but still pretty great. Some say he might also have a mysterious scientist dad/grand father/brother.....? We don't know much but that sounds pretty great too!

April 19, day 4: Friendship

Papyrus wants to be popular, popular, popular! But perhaps what's most important is the friends that care about you for who you really are. And luckily, Papyrus has found friends like that along the way!

April 20, day 5: Give up giving up

Papyrus is a character that has been very misunderstood in the past, from being reduced to a comic relief to being seen as nothing but an innocent naive character. But Papyrus is a very complex character: he has insecurities, he has flaws, he believes in kindness no matter what, and there are just a lot of things we don't know about him. For some reason we haven't seen him in Deltarune yet...? While we wait for him, let's show everyone how interesting Papyrus is!

April 21, day 6: Free day

Make whatever content you want! Headcanons, fun ideas that you want to share, ships, post-game stuff, etc. Impress Papyrus with your creativity

April 22, day 7: Papyrus

We have focused on everything that revolves Papyrus, now it's time for Papyrus himself! What do you love about this character? Do you think he is cool? Let's show Papyrus how many fans he really has

Recently I have fallen back down the rabbit hole of Undertale and Deltarune and my love for the games and stories has been woken once more. Undertale was such a big part of my childhood and and I love how developed and deep the story line was, how the gameplay had been something new to me. Not to mention the character designs!

I plan on creating a lot more Undertale art but this is simply the beginning of that. My own personal brain rot.

Curious how you viiew Kris and spams relationship (NOT SHIP!!!) I jusy feel like there's some unique vibes in the way you depict them together and I'm here for it (+ want more spam infodump from u,,,)

omg....... im very happy to hear you like the vibes whenever i draw/write them!!!! explodes into a million tiny pieces and then someone glues me back together

AND THANKYIOU !!! means a lot to me i love talking abt him im :DD OMG.... AEUGH...................[ YELLS ] ok im gona try to explain this. they mean a lot to me ok i got a lot of ground to cover. warning that i get into headcanon/theory territory here. its all based on canon but there are things that can be interpretated differently to other people so.

they are very, very complicated i think.

ive been thinking about this for a bit but like i really dont think kris would hold much against him. like, trying to kill them or the fact that he manipulated them into helping him. even for like possibly ripping them off too in his little shop roulette. i don't think kris thinks very highly of themself, but they often empathize with others.

in the case of spamton, i think there is enough understanding there that they could handwave it away. especially at the end of his battle, where he has calmed down somewhat. i always mention it's a moment of clarity because he sees through all of the lies that he's been telling himself all this time. the same feelings that had him trying to justify killing a child.

he obviously still has a lot of issues to work through, but after the spamton NEO fight he doesn't really mean any harm. and he clearly wants to help, since kris's situation matched his own so much. but it is sad that in the end he admits that he's always been a puppet- in more ways than one. he's been used and thrown away so many times.

there's a point i make about spamton's fight being kinda easy, and how this ties into his character narratively. for any other media i would not do this but its UTDR so i think it's kinda viable. spamton gives you several free turns or advantages, even during his NEO fight.

things off the top of my head: the free heal, the phone call, destroying his eyes nose and mouth is permanent for that turn, if youre not hit during the first instance of his phones for hands attack it never advances to the harder version until you get hit.

and like, you could probably say some of those are also the result of spamton's desperation, clumsiness because he isnt in the right mind. but i also think there was a part of him that didnt want to kill them. he is very loud, very in kris's face. but he was also probably like this with others, and i think he desperately wanted something. validation, attention, things of that end. and obviously, a friend.

he thinks he can find meaning through NEO. he learns the truth of the dark worlds- there's a reason he wants to see the sun, the light world; where his existence would feel REAL.

and i wouldn't want to deny any of his wrongdoings, its not really the point im trying to make. there are just a lot of things that added up to his spiral, isolation being one of them. without actual companionship, he never had other people to pull him out of every self-destructive spiral. kris is able to have something like that, even when they were little. though lonely, they still had noelle.

but then- the divorce. dess's disappearance. their brother leaving. like spamton, so many things hit them at once. it's the same life changing event like spamton's fall. his eviction, being abandoned by the addisons, when he was taken advantage of. they both drew further into themselves, punishing themself into isolation.

theres a lot there that gives them room to see themself, but to also extend kindness. whether they fight or spare him, thats ultimately the players decision. but i think the intention from kris still the same- they just want to help.

and i do think kris is invested in his plight, the scene i mentioned before but when they put the disk into the robot, they repeatedly hit it for any reaction. not something we can control so it sticks out a lot. i think like- they really wanted this idea to work. they're thinking that maybe if it actually helps spamton be free, maybe for them too? and thats why it's so haunting when he drops to the floor when his strings are cut. but a lot of people kinda went over that already. the point is that kris projects a lot of themself onto spamton, just as he did to them.

i operate under the assumption that kris in someway wished for someone to tell them how to be liked, how to talk to people, how to Not be such a weirdo. things like that. i dont really think they were happy being themself. it's clear they didnt really think they fit in, even when other people were nice to them. its not that they were treated badly, just different. but even that can feel isolating, it can separate you from others when even the smallest of things is not understood on the same level.

kris being the only human in hometown obviously affected them a lot, they have their headband with the horns to feel like one of them. toriel checked out a book on how to care for human children, etc. again, just like spamton, there is a separation they have from others.

but unlike kris, spamton had this sort of infinite drive to achieve what he wanted on his own. and even though he ended up depending on someone else so much, manipulated by his own desire to be acknowledged, he is still somehow standing at the end of it all. mind is in tatters, but still here. which i think is what sets him and kris apart.

but we also start to see kris fighting for themself in the game. i think there was a point where they really just didnt want to be themself anymore, where they gave themself up so someone else could take their place. make them feel wanted, like they finally fit in. they start to realize that they want to experience all of these fun things the SOUL is experiencing. they want to be apart of this, they dont want to be in the dark anymore. (ahahaliek the spamton line ahah where hes like "its so dark" ahah you see what i)

(i also think 'the dark' is synonymous with isolation, so ykn) (just like i interpret 'heaven' to mean many things. freedom, companionship, acknowledgement)

i do think their friendship is very awkward. like. on some level, neither of them are very great at interacting with people? i do think spamton has some innate charisma that's been with him since an addison, but he is still very off-putting as his puppet self. it's why no really wants to talk to him, besides other weirdos (kris.)(joking. maybe)

kris is kind of clingy, i think they form really deep attachments to people that are understanding of them, among other things. (susie is a really good example of how fast they get attached to others.) i do think the kinship they feel with spamton would kinda run deep too? and they'd still want to help him i think.

major major headcanon territory here lets GOOO:

so i think kris likes picking spamton up. because he is smaller than them, he can kinda act as like a cuddly pillow or something. and because i think kris is so afraid of physical touch as much as they crave it, the idea of them hugging someone else is very different than someone hugging them. they'd pick him up without warning him and i think that would make him kind of upset.

he's always used to others looking down on him, without ever really saying it? pitying looks that might be from sympathy translate to something else for him, and i think to pick him up like that is upsetting.

obviously this is how they're like at first but you know they both get on the same page eventually. think he'd find it comforting too at a certain point, but they gotta get there. the point im trying to get across here is that theyre very awkward. they can get away with a lot of nonverbal communication, because i think spamton is able to read kris pretty well. this is also due to the fact that even when he projects onto them, they still are very similar. so it just happens to line up with how kris is feeling most of the time agjdfkgfd.

but there are things they'd have to really talk about too so. the idea of them kinda working out their boundaries and gradually becoming a lot more comfortable with each other is a very nice thought. eventually they'd be kinda attached to the hip and having kris run around the lightworld with spamton just sort of hanging out in their scarf or backpack sounds so fun SDHFDSJ.

for as much as spam would like to explore it's like. he'd want someone there to be with him as he does. cos whats the point. he's recently come to terms with the fact that Yes having Friends is Awesome actually so. without saying it, he hangs around kris. eventually everyone else in hometown probably. ya know it just keeps going until he has a legitimate support system.

and this doesnt have to apply only in the lightworld too, him reconciling with the addisons, becoming friends with jevil, etc. etc. i just talk abt lightworld stuff cos im biased but like. So much.

kris being his first friend makes me Weep i'll cry. and the fact they'd extend it after everything he's done in his desperation is kinda neat. and i dont wanna act like kris is kinda like. the nicest person ever because i do think, as mentioned above, they dont really know where to draw lines.

in terms of like, physical boundary, but also like in the way they prank noelle. not everyone is going to be okay with being scared like they do to noelle. even some pranks that may seem harmless have consequences that are unexpected. this mischievousness is nothing but play to them, and obviously they wouldnt mean it if it hurts someone. (IE: they'd never prank noelle the way the player does, pressing off the switch where she could seriously get hurt.)

kris is just a kid though, so like a lot of this is just unintentional. it is difficult for me to see kris having any malevolent intentions with others

but yeah, i think they can be a little mean-spirited sometimes without meaning to. They would be a bit like this to spamton too, so. they both have things to work on. this is a complete side thing but i think they both joke about the morbid a lot or see themselves as Things that are just not human those are small things though sdhfjdkg

and i make this comparison a bit in my fic, but their voices are very raspy? kris, from not using it very much, and spamton who is in perpetual shout mode completely destroying his vocal chords. (hypothetical vocal chords? whatever is going on in there. ) i just think that is nice :]

their relationship is an awkward but tender thing i think... i like this scenario where spamton sort of like helps kris fight for themself. like to allow them to see the value in being themself, and how thats something they shouldnt lose. i like him sort of motivating them, in a way? things like forcing them to get up in the morning faster, really pushing them to live their life.

I am feeling much better now, as my mutual Kris (@skriblee-ksk) was kind enough to draw Cathie to help cheer me up (It's so amazing and cute, I will never stop talking about it. I want everyone to know how much I love it, and how grateful I am ♡)

I love your ask! While I have mentioned a few things for Ruthie, I haven't really gone as in depth with her as I have with Cater (At least, when it comes to the things I have posted and talked about) so this gives me the perfect opportunity to do so! ♡

Pre-Cathie:

Ruthie is a very genuine person, and is able to read others better than some may think. While Cater thought she was cute, it wasn't the only reason why they ended up getting to know each other. During the event, it's shown how perceptive Ruthie is, and how she's able to tell when Cater isn't being as honest/genuine as he appears. For example, when she serves the boys dessert, she can tell how Cater hesitates to eat it, offering him a savory option (even though he never said anything) They keep having moments like these throughout the event, causing them to grow closer to one another, to the point where Ruthie agrees to exchange numbers/socials with Cater at the end of the event (so they could keep in touch!) This leads to texts, calls, facetimes. They would always be talking to one another whenever they could, Ruthie even getting a better phone plan just to keep up with him. Late night talks, turning to each other for comfort. Ruthie would always have her ringer on, just so she wouldn't a miss a call from him, especially if it was late at night. If they talked/spoken to each other earlier and she could tell something was up, she would make sure to call him before going to bed, checking in and making sure he was alright.

Others would notice them laughing/smiling more when they're on their phones. Cater was already known for being on his phone/social media a lot but now he seems to be even more glued to it, his dorm mates noticing how his eyes light up when he gets a notification. When he sees who it's from a fond smile comes to his face, immediately replying back. (I'm sure he's gotten in trouble with Riddle for it lol) Ruthie's classmates notice how she seems to be on her phone more often now, getting a notification that puts a smile on her face and causes her to laugh, sending a reply back. Her classmates would get curious and start asking if she's talking to someone, curious.

They would hang out together when they could, going to places Cater had seen online or Ruthie visiting him at NRC. Both of their feelings grew as time went on, Cater having realized his feelings first while Ruthie was oblivious to her own. She has moments where she becomes flustered, or has sudden thoughts about him, but doesn't really put the pieces together, unused to being in the romantic situations she usually puts others in. I plan on writing a fic for this, but an example is when she one day feels insecure about her appearance, and how she's "cute". It leads to her using her unique magic on herself, wanting to know how he would react. While she doesn't really understand why she cares so much about what Cater thinks, it isn't until he tells her that she looks the same way she always does that she realizes she did it cause she wanted him to look at her, and only her, knowing he wasn't really a fan of "cute" things. (The fic would end with him telling her that there are certain things he makes an exception for, Cater looking at her fondly as her heart races)

Post-Cathie:

While Cater would try to have all their dates at popular/trendy places, or places Ruthie would like, she would make sure that they would go to places Cater would like too (Like the skate park, or the music store, or a restaurant that specializes in spicy food) She cares about his interests and hobbies, making an effort to learn more about them. I can definitely imagine them going on a date to a skate park, and Ruthie asking Cater if he could teach her how to skate ♡ (It'd be so cute!) She would also try her best to enjoy the spicy food Cater loves, even if she doesn't have a high spice tolerance (Cater thinks it's cute how she always reacts every time, making sure she doesn't overdo it) She's very supportive, encouraging, and willing to listen, whether it be attending the pop music club shows and posting about them to get others to come, or giving Cater an ear whenever he needs someone to talk/vent to. She cares about him so much and is SO proud to have him as her boyfriend, bringing him up in conversations without thinking and talking about how great/talented/loving/handsome he is. Just as Cater gets her gifts, Ruthie does the same for him as well, though hers are usually handmade instead of store bought. Making him a lunch and surprising him with it, cooking his favorite food/snack, knitting him a scarf/hat/gloves for the winter.

I know I talked about how Cater has a special album on his phone dedicated to pictures of her he took secretly while they were on their dates or hanging out (looking back at them whenever he's lonely or missing her) On Ruthie's end, she made a scrapbook using the selfies he posted from their dates, adding pictures each time they go on one. Next to each picture she writes a summary of what they did, along with the month/day/year it happened. (Cater doesn't realize she's been doing this until their one year anniversary, where she gives the album to him as a gift ♡) Though she does still buy him gifts! Making sure to remember something he mentioned wanting or liking while they're out. Though she has a habit of getting herself things that remind her of him, buying herself a light orange fox plush that she keeps on her bed (and will sleep with sometimes when she misses him, wearing one of his shirts/hoodies ♡) She loves to be affectionate with him, holding his arm when they're walking/standing. Giving him kisses whenever she can (making him bend down or standing on her tip toes and kissing where she can reach, a light shine on his face/lips due to her lip gloss) She feels so safe with him, so warm and loved ♡ (She loves his scent, which is another reason why she loves to wear his clothes when she misses him/in general)

I could go on honestly but I think I'll stop here for now, since I've rambled enough lol

i can play two instruments! the piano and guitar, though i'd say i'm pretty rusty with both. given the practice, i think i could get back up to par again with the former? i formally learnt both in the sense that i know the rudiments of music theory and can still decently read notation, but that's about where the extent of my knowledge ends...hasn't stopped me from getting absolutely obsessed with the intricacies of instrumental osts when it comes to mechanics, aesthetics, leitmotifs, etc. asflkdsj

[ olive ] what gives you the most inspiration for your muse(s)?

it really depends on which muse i'm writing! in general, i like to revisit their canons (i.e. replaying their games or rewatching their movies) and examine all the details and overarching themes/motifs i can catch in them if i need a boost of the Muse Presence, but sometimes i'll take inspiration from completely unrelated media i've consumed that i feel could be applicable to my interpretations

e.g. i've been taking some tidbits from caine from jw4 for link recently, in that he's someone who knows his "role" in life, is really fucking good at playing it (however much he doesn't want to), and would give almost anything to escape it. even as he's totally settled into it! despite the myth he makes of himself in this one movie he shows up in, he's a ghost in his own world. he goes through the film reluctant to do the things he so easily does anyway, with his hand forced by the high table because he has someone he loves so deeply, yet at the end of it all: he's still afforded some measure of happiness because he was loved by someone so deeply in turn. these two are really not the same type of characters at all, but caine's Vibes are part of the Feel i want to communicate through link's story!

other times, i'll come across a fic (often not even for the same characters or media lskjdf) that gives me the worst brainrot and that'll flavour how i want to frame my writing and what i want readers to Notice for muses. but i otherwise tend to keep it contained to overanalysing canons! honourable mention @ my partner, for being the best sounding board and engaging with me on all my rambling ♡

[ navy ] what do your muse(s) mean to you?

they're my best friends, they're my pals, they're my homeboys (gender neutral), my rotten soldiers, my sweet cheeses, my good-time fellas—

they're my blorbos of all time! they mean so, so much to me!! especially the ones that have stuck around for nearly or exactly a decade like link, the zeldas, aidan, and gold; those were some rough (trans)formative years that they carried me through, and i had so much fun with them! i still am!! plus, the friends i make through writing these muses will always leave such an indelible impression on me no matter how many years pass (i am looking directly at people like issie and adri and kris as i say this sldfjdkf still leaves me gratefully gobsmacked that i found you again after so long!) ♡

[ mulberry ] what tips would you give someone with writer's block?

don't force it! try not to agonise over it. come back to it at some other point after you've gone and done something else that might be just as creative in nature (drawing, crafts, etc.). dip into your other hobbies if you have them! read. watch things, play games! consume as much as you've outputted! take care of yourself!!

above all, remind yourself that you're more than whatever writing you can give to anyone!

[ blonde ] what is your favourite type of music? favourite artist? favourite song?

hard to choose, because i don't have a genre i'm super dedicated to? ig if i had to pick based on what i generally listen to a majority of the time, my favourite type would be whatever category osts fall under askdjlf

i think it's also because of that that i tend to steer towards songs i can't understand without translations? if there are words i can pick out, i get a bit too distracted, and half the time my audio processing issues make it so that i only sort of make out most of the words, which distracts me on a different level sdkfjfl following that, my favourite artist(s) in terms of songs with lyrics would probably be yoasobi :) i listen to their pieces the most consistently!

ahhh...literally will never be able to choose a favourite song when i have so many! for the moment...i'll pick rito village, as played by kass and his sweetums!! it's just such a sweet rendition ♡ and i want more people to be reminded of it! lmao you thought me leaving my birdies for a hot second would get rid of the brainrot. absolutely not they've still got a Grip on me sldfksjdl

[ lime ] describe yourself as a character / mix of characters you've always related to the most.

minor npc in the protagonist of the series' life that's like. just a passing face, but has an entire life beyond saving the world that makes actually saving the world all the more meaningful by way of their story coming together with every other npc's to weave this feel of a world that's actually alive.

also! unnoticeable character, perhaps, but the protagonist of their own life :) slfkjfd sorry. zelda might've been a core part of my personality since childhood but mp100 changed my brain chemistry on a molecular level at ~sixteen. hard for me to leave its truisms and themes alone

[ azure ] is there a specific character or type of character you want to write but never have? why?

there are specific characters i've been hankering to write but just don't think my writing style will do them justice in terms of narrative voices OR don't feel very confident in my interpretation of those narrative voices in the first place, yeah! reigen arataka from mp100, kazuha kaedehara from genpact (who wouldn't be affiliated with the rpc at all now that i no longer play the game, which is another hurdle), and link from albw to name a few.

there's also the issue of my time and energy, and other writers' interest in interacting. maybe one day i'll bring one of these to the fold, but it won't be anytime soon sdlfkdjf

[ cherry ] what is one thing you love about yourself?

hmm. i'm very proud of my progress in terms of mental health recovery! dunno if that's something i'd say i love about myself though sflkdjf so maybe how in-depth i can go in terms of character analyses? at least for characters that i feel are really understated or don't often get to shine in fandom communities and such. i do love a majority of my muse interpretations (outside validation's alway nice ofc) — i wouldn't be able to write them otherwise!

[ cerulean ] what is your favorite (type of) character to write?

i know the person who sent this in wants me to say the truth so here it is slfkjdkl i really like writing characters who did not get the resolution or healing they should've gotten from their trauma in their canons. i like exploring what that does to them and what healing might look or not look like for them. i especially loveeee collecting dynamics for them because that's ultimately what heals everyone, isn't it? that outside support and care :) it's cathartic to write, and i hope it's meaningful to read for my writing partners when we really get into the nitty gritty of it!

[ apricot ] what do you think your life will be like in ten years?

happy? happy. i don't tend to mull on the specifics so much. though i'd like to think i'd still be writing, at least! there are some other really personal things i'm not super comfortable with sharing in a public space, but to the one who sent this in: i hope i'll still be with you. i hope we'll get to be together not just in our hearts. i hope we'll have physically built up lives of our own ♡ sorry for getting disgustingly sappy but i love my loveliest lady!! slfkjdl

[ fuchsia ] bonus round: angst or fluff? one-liners or paras? plotting or winging it? memes or starter calls? single muse or multimuse?

i like reading and writing both, with a slightly heavier inclination towards fluff! paras unless it's shenanigans. i vibe with both, but work better with prior plotting! either is good and i do not mind them! i do have a preference for running multimuses now just because it makes it less of a hassle when you've got multiple blorbos bouncing around in your head, though love interacting with both!

Hold on lemme get the Asgore propaganda I have like 5 essays on this guy I'll get some relevant snippets of Him Being A Dad

(Sorry if this lacks structure I merged two different texts and that might have messed some stuff up)

New Home is a fascinating window into Asgore's personality and almost every single object in it is cleverly put there to show insight into the Dreeemurr family, so let's go through some objects with relevance to their relationship with Chara

The Worn Dagger is a christmas gift either from or to Chara, and shows their great relationship. Chara might have been interested in gardening, as their one wish before dying was to see the Golden Flowers, and they're pretty much omnipresent in New Home;

Speaking of that, the Golden Flowers are the only part of New Home with any color other than the ribbons in the gift boxes. This shows Asgore's interest in gardening, along with implying that the absence of his family stripped all color from his life, after all, the only colorful things in there are heavily associated with his children;

The clothes drawer, macaroni art, and calendar also show his relationship with Chara, as he still keeps their sweater even after more than a hundred years, they made a drawing for him and he keeps a constant reminder of their arrival. As such, they were most likely his favorite child;

The coffins show how much he respected the humans he took the lives of, as they’re put there along with Chara, who has already been established to be someone he loved very dearly. That comparison also shows how traumatized he was by killing the children;

The family photo. That is it.

Outside of New Home, there's also the Game Over screen, which shows just how much faith he put into Chara, by calling them "the future of humans and monsters". Not to mention, he was willing to sacrifice himself and the hope of his kingdom just so a single human could maybe possibly help them all, on the basis that the child was similar to Chara.

Moving on, Asriel is probably the most developed character in Undertale. He's the first one to talk to the player, the first and last monster in the battle screen in all three routes, and probably has the most info about him available in the game. In the Genocide version of New Home, Flowey explains what happened to him after being reborn, and in this he drops some very interesting lines:

"Eventually, the king found me, crying in the garden. [...] But... For some reason... I didn't feel anything at all.", and "I ran away from home. Eventually, I reached the RUINS. Inside I found HER, I thought of all people, SHE could make me feel whole again.".

This seems to imply that Flowey thought it was more likely he'd be able to feel love if he spent time with Toriel rather than with Asgore, which, along with the possible preference for Chara, makes it seem like Flowey isn't Asgore's favorite, and Asgore is not Flowey's favorite. But they are so similar as people that it could certainly seem that way! From the similar greetings of "howdy", to their color palettes, to the fact that, in a way, he's a personification of one of Asgore's most prominent interests, even to their personalities, as both are pacifistic and self-sacrificial characters that were ultimately cracked under pressure and gave in to violence, though to different extents. Asriel seems to subconsciously look up to Asgore in a way that really shapes his personality!

Kris doesn't have as much focus put into their relationship with Asgore, but something notable is that once you go to the flower shop and Asgore hugs them, he quickly backs off, noting how he doesn't know whether or not they even like hugs, which is a really cool display of respecting boundaries, which isn't exactly one of his strong suits in that universe. He loves his children enough to know when his own flaws may be bothering them and that's really cool!

Loving a character who doesn't have a lot of diehard fans sucks.

So as y'all should hopefully know by now, I'm probably the world's #1 Lancer fan. And something I've noticed throughout my time of liking Lancer is that he... doesn't get too much attention compared to other characters.

Not a day goes by where I don't see fanart of Susie, Kris, Ralsei, Spamton, and so on. I feel as if this is unfair to Lancer if I'm being honest. I want to go over the characters that I see get more attention compared to Lancer and explain why I think this shouldn't be the case.

First off, arguably the most skewed of them all, Spamton. Yes, I know, Spamton's a secret boss, he's cool, etc. But HONESTLY, do you really think Spamton should get more love than Lancer? Spamton doesn't offer TOO much to the story; he's essentially a bonus character with some cool lore. And he likely won't return to later chapters either, given how secret bosses work. Lancer has SO MUCH MORE stakes AND potential in the ENTIRETY of Deltarune than Spamton ever will. And I think Lancer's personality, trauma, and relationships with other characters are just better as a whole and feel more genuine compared to Spamton.

Now for the other members of the Fun Gang: Kris, Susie, and Ralsei. This is where I get really annoyed at seeing how skewed the attention is. What REALLY gets on my nerves is seeing the Fun Gang--especially Kris, Susie, and Ralsei--get fanart WITHOUT LANCER BEING THERE. Like GUYS, Lancer is CANONICALLY part of the Fun Gang, WHAT are you doing??? Draw them all TOGETHER, don't just toss Lancer aside! Lancer is on the same LEVEL as those three! He may not get nearly the same amount of screen time, but he has A LOT, more than the VAST majority of characters seen thus far. He ABSOLUTELY deserves to be on the same level as the rest of the Fun Gang. Not even a QUESTION.

And then we have Noelle and Berdly. ESPECIALLY Noelle, oh my GOD Noelle. I will say this: if Snowgrave didn't exist, if Noelle wasn't forced by Kris to commit heinous acts, THE FANDOM WOULD NOT CARE ABOUT NOELLE AS MUCH. I would be as bold to say Snowgrave is part of what gave Noelle so much popularity. Yes, there are other factors at play, but this is the largest one in my eyes. I don't see Berdly getting the same amount of attention as Noelle, and I'm sure Snowgrave has something to do with it. So no, Snowgrave doesn't excuse Noelle from getting so much attention. Lancer is on the same level as Noelle and Berdly as well. The child was LITERALLY one of the PRIMARY characters in Chapter 1, and had a fair amount of screen time in Chapter 2 as well. He is on the SAME LEVEL as Noelle and Berdly.

There are other characters I could go over, but these are the primary ones I wanted to discuss. I see a couple themes here. First, some of the characters have primary roles--or are even only seen--in Chapter 2, the newer chapter. The one on everyone's minds. Lancer doesn't have tons of screen time in Chapter 2, therefore people don't pay as much attention to him compared to the pre-Chapter 2 era. The other theme is that some of the characters I mentioned are SUPER primary characters, primary to the point where it's VERY rare for a scene to not include them. Again, I think this is a poor reason, because Lancer was shown to be on equal footing in terms of focus in Chapter 1. Even if he wasn't given the same status on Chapter 2, that does NOT diminish the fact that he STILL HAS that status.

Now, why am I pointing this all out? I'm making this post because this is something that upsets me. I see so many people claiming to like Lancer and be Lancer fans, yet they often ignore him and focus on other characters, especially the ones I mentioned earlier. This is not right in my opinion. You can't claim to like a character without SHOWING you like the character. You should contribute to the character in a way, whether it be fanart, fanfics, or anything in between! It can even be something as small as reblogging fanart, but PLEASE, make it your duty to show some love. We all have a tendency to focus on some characters more than others, and there's nothing wrong with that. But at least try to give some characters the spotlight every so often. This doesn't only apply to Lancer, but other, often overlooked characters as well.

Things might change when I actually decide to make it, but for now this is what I invision their wedding to be like.

This could be for any iteration, but it's mostly for Rise as that's the version of Kristina I have planned out the most. Though as of right now, I imagine their wedding would be very similar in all versions.

If you would like to write/draw something involving the wedding, you have my permission to do so. Even if you want to add your OC to it as a background character or even a member of the bridal/grooms party just for fun, that'd be cool too! I love having OCs interact with my own, even if it isn't technically "canon". I think it would be interesting to see how other people invision how certain events went down lmao.

Kristina's Ring:

- Kristina wanted something vintage and preferrably gold, brass, copper in color. She also wanted it to remind her of Raphael,so she asked that it hold a red stone of some kind. Raphael wears a gold band to match her own, it was specially made to fit his finger.

Bridesmaids Dresses:

- Raphael let Kristina handle/choose the bridemaids dresses, as he had no preference on the matter. To match with the ring and her flowers, Kristina decides that she wants the dresses to be red and elegant. (I'm leaning more towards the 1st set of dresses, but I honestly like them both so idk which to choose. If you'd like, please let me know which one you think would suit the wedding better! It'd be a great help. Thank you!)

Kristina's Dress:

- Kristina wanted a dress that sort of matched her own style. (I feel that she gives off a more dark or light academia kind of vibe) so she goes for something a little more fantasy like. Something with big sleeves, a tight bodice and a long flowy skirt.

The Bouquet(s):

- Again, Kristina wanted something red to match the bridesmaid dresses and her ring. And she didn't want just roses. Roses could be mixed in, but she wanted other flowers as well. Her main three colors were red, green, and white. Something that also gave her fantasy vibes.

Their Head Pieces:

- Kristina didn't want to wear a veil, and instead decided to wear a gold leaf headpiece. Her mother wore something similar for her wedding, so it was also something setimental. Their brides maids/maid of honour/flower girl, also wore leaf headpieces, though theirs were silver.

The Venue:

- They wanted to get married somewhere nice. Somewhere outside of New York so they could really party and celebrate properly with their friends and family without worrying about anything or anyone. So, Kris' parents offered for them to host it at their family cottage. Somewhere Kristina would go to all the time during the summers and winter break. A place she had even taken the Hamato's a few times. It was special and private. Not to mention beautiful, with all the gardening her father did. Therefor it was perfect. They could set up a big tent outside in the yard and decorate it all nice so there was enough room for everyone. And some people could stay the night if they wished so they didn't have to worry about driving home late.

The Groom & Groomsmen Attire:

- Depending on which version of TMNT it is, they would be wearing different things. As some versions of the turtles have a easier time wearing actual clothes than others. Obviously Raph's brothers are the groomsmen (+Casey depending on the iteration). So some versions would wear tux's, or at least nice white/black button up shirts. Possibly suspenders or/and fancy pants or something-- idk I haven't figured out the guy's section yet hehe.

The Playlist:

- Kristina loves classical music. Among other types, but for their wedding, classical just suited it best. So they went along with songs like this.

The Ring Bearer and Flower Girl:

- The ring bearer was Kristina's cat. Who they trained to carry and bring the rings to them. It wasn't hard, he's always been well trained. All they had to do was attach the rings to his collar. The flower girl was Kristina's biological mother and aunt figure. She's important to Kris and Kris wanted her to have a role in the wedding, but she (her "aunt") didn't want to be a bridesmaid and asked to be the flower girl since they didn't really have anyone else and she thought it would be fun. She wore the same dresses as the brides maids.

The Maid of Honour:

- The Maid of Honour is/was Kristina's mum, Lorie Lennox. She wanted her mother to have a bigger role than Mother of the Bride, and she's one of Kris' best friends.

The Best Man:

- In most versions I believe Raph's best man would probably be Casey. But for Rise, I think Raph would get his brothers to draw straws or pick a number between 1 and 100 and whoever got it closest would be his best man or something lol. In the end, Mikey won and made sure to rub it in his brother's faces.

The Bride's Maids:

- Kristina's brides maids would consist of her closest friends, especially if they knew the turtles. I'm not sure about the other TMNT iterations as I've currently been only really planning Rise, so we'll stick with that. I believe Iris ( @digitl-art-monstr 's OC ) is introduced after Raph and Kris are already married, so unfortunetly I don't know if she'd be in the wedding. At least not in the Rise iteration. In the other iterations I'm not sure, so she has a chance to be apart of the bridal party there! Which is awesome hehe. Alba ( @rheawritesforfun 's OC ) would definitely be one of the bride's maids. (partners in crime forever haha) So would April. I don't know if Ro ( @rheawritesforfun 's OC ) would be introduced at this point, I don't think so, at least not in the Rise version which means she wouldn't be apart of the bridal party either. So April, Alba and Lorie (+ her birth mum/aunt who is still unnnamed lol) make up the bridal party.

The Grooms Men:

- The Grooms Men are Leo, Donnie, and techinically Mikey. (+Casey depending on the version, he wouldn't be there at all for Rise) Leo would be partnered with Alba (ofc). Donnie would be partnered with April. And Mikey would be partnered with Lorie. (totally wanna draw/write this, I think it would be hilarious-)

The Officiant(s):

- Kristina and Raphael had two officiants for their wedding. They asked Splinter to do it, of course. But they also asked Westly, Kris' father to do it as well. They wanted both of their father's to have bigger roles in their wedding and decided this was the best course of action. Plus it'd be interesting to witness. Westly still walked Kris down the isle, he just joined Splinter at the altar instead of sitting down or standing off to the side.

The First Dance:

- Kristina's and Raphael's first dance together was to the song below. And yes, they both cried during it.

The Food:

- Most of the food was made by Westly and Mikey, to help with their budget costs. Westly is an amazing cook and baker and Mike is too. They incorperated both cultures and had a lot of fun with it. They started with cute little pizza appetizers. Then they had chicken kebabs with rice and fried veggies for mains. And of course a shit ton of alcohol and a ice cream bar.

The Cake:

- The cake matched the rustic/cottagecore vibes and had edible flowers and vines wrapped all around it. It was three tiers and covered in white icing. And the flavour of the cake was red velvet.

The Honeymoon:

- While everyone left Kristina's family cottage/cabin, Kristina and Raphael stayed behind for the next couple weeks. Opting to save money and stay there for their honeymoon. I will write a whole special imagine/oneshot for this someday. So I won't say too much. Let's just say it was very much like the after math of the room from Twilight. ;)

EXO Fandom - Part 2 - FanArt

This post follows part 1 - available here.

After working on stories and loving the imaginative fiction created by the fandom, I came across stories that highlighted visual work by fanartists to help provide visual reference. Initially I found most artwork to be digital, but it was happening upon a pencil artist that struck a chord and made me think, “I could probably do that.”

At the time, I was close to graduating with my Bachelors Degree in Studio Arts with an emphasis in painting and mural. I was known for hating portrait work and chose to mostly work in abstracts and landscapes, or still life. The pressure to make a person look recognizable was daunting. I had just finished my senior project early and had very little to do in studio reserved time, but had an ample supply of medium and papers. So, without much thought, I started to draw EXO.

My early work is pretty rough, but as I mentioned, I did not like drawing people. I spent most of an entire semester working on some random drawings and eventually completed my first ‘series’ which was really just portraits of all members using the same medium and paper. I posted those drawings on my personal Instagram because I didn’t see it being a big deal. It became a big deal.

With enough positive comments, I decided that I wanted to keep working on portraits of EXO and sometimes other K-pop artists when inspired. I wanted to improve and to see if I could get better at drawing faces. As I continued working on shading and texture - especially hair, I began to wonder what other mediums could be used to achieve different effects. I also began networking. I started to follow and talk to other digital and traditional fan artists who used all sorts of effects. I wanted to emulate digital effects traditionally, working with physical media in layers. I went to the art store often and purchased more variety of tools. I got recommendations for brands and techniques from a network of artists that was beginning to span the globe. I had never felt so rich in community as I did around my 2nd year of working on fanart.

Of course, it wasn’t just the community that prompted artistic growth. Not to be biased, but Kai has always been just a little more artistically portrayed in photoshoots. What I consider to be odd fashion preferences became amazing to recreate in charcoal and colored pencil. Still frame movement and emotions were so motivating that at times I couldn’t keep up with the amount of visual content that was coming out and how fast I could draw.

It was a constant race to keep up. I remember that the Die Jungs photobooks were the first that I felt so incredibly motivated by and yet could never draw everything I wanted to from those books before new content was available. When Exodus and Love Me Right came out, I was cranking out 1-4 portraits a day or at least in a week. I wanted to do more series. As EXO members moved on (Kris, Luhan, Tao) I wanted to keep making series that included the 12 regardless. I wanted to merge charcoal with paint and do blends of medium that seemed impractical. It was intensely motivating because I had not just Kai but 12 total muses that belonged on canvas.

At the time of writing this I have produced 692 pieces of traditional fan art. That’s 692 pieces of paper or canvas where the medium was applied by hand via pencil or paint brush. Never in my youth did I think I would ever complete that much body of work in an entire lifetime.

EXO gave me the inspiration to get over a fear of portraits, dabble in more medium than I’d imagined, network globally and make friends, and for the first time made me feel like a legitimate artist. Now, we could spend another entire post talking about the copyright issues and art practices and their validity, but for now - my creative growth is still one of the many reasons EXO is my favorite K-Pop group.

Deltarune: i really, really like Jevil's design. he's very fun to draw. love that he transforms into a scythe.

as for Undertale: Knight Knight, i think. her armor with it's owl face and the helmet is hella cool (reminds me of the Titans, somewhat). her staff, Good Morningstar, is funny n includes my favorite weapon.

Jevil and Knight Knight have quite different designs.

very glaring obvious one is the lack of color with Knight Knight. KK has a lot of moving individual parts but stays rooted, too, while Jevil is. yeah, himself. he moves a lot. they do both have a lot of black in their design, however.

Kris is a a teaser and messes with Noelle but imo not overstepping boundaries cause they don’t get Noelle to fawn. She still shows learned helplessness with the puzzles, telling them to solve them/take charge/she can’t do them, but she expresses intimate thoughts and emotions and playful self assertion with them (even given the implied distance they now have!) So, as much of a prankster and kind of weird they can be, Noelle’s fawning is a defense from a threat (real or perceived) and if she can stand up for herself, be open with Kris and say no one knows her like them it’s because she feels safe. And thats what I see in them— Noelle isn’t that way even with Berdly, despite them being close. Being pushed to self assert by someone you feel safe with, that you feel has your best interest in mind, is heaps easier, so kris would prolly be one of the people that could most easily feed her confidence and self esteem.

I think the intimacy built up over years and the way kris can tap into Noelles interest for horror/adrenaline without being aggro (most of the mentioned actions, rocking the Ferris wheel booth, using ketchup as blood, getting under her bed to scare her are just pranks/children being stupid, she is never actually unsafe like Susie pinning her up against a wall or mocking her would be) are compatible with her specifically. And this may be bit outta left field but being quiet because it gives Noelle room to speak. Part of fawning is prioritising others (notice how Noelle just lets Berdly talk all over her), kris being quiet lets her voice her thoughts which validates her.

To me, its really telling in snowgrave— Noelle puts up a fight when you compel her to proceed a couple times before succumbing to you using her learned helplessness to weaponise her magic. She felt safe enough with Kris to say a hard NO (implying she did put these hard limits before and kris respected them). and you absolutely fuck that up for her. It sucks

Bluh blah parallel on why I think kriselle works because they know each other so well (kris knows a noelle that was less damaged by compounding trauma, and knows how to bring that noelle out of her shell) vs why I think ralsusie works because they don’t know each other from before (zero negative reputation feeding into the mistrust and fight response, no preconceptions).
