I think this has been in a good number of fanworks already so I'm not exactly covering new ground here, but the idea of Lucifer helping Alastor with his angelic wound on behalf of Charlie never gets old to me.

Alastor continues to pretend that nothing is wrong until he just can't pretend anymore - is it exhaustion? Is it the fact that his injury is so obvious to literally everyone else that it'd be pointless to keep it up? You decide, but either way, he's forced into an intervention.

And then when Lucifer offers healing — because we can't have you dying on us, you idiot, he says, or really anything of the sort — Alastor refuses.

No! Certainly not. No, thank you.

What do you mean? You don't want healing? Do you want to die again? Because you're going to.

Don't mock me. Why are you here? What do you want from me?

Then Lucifer has to convince Alastor that there is, in fact, no catch. It's not a concession Lucifer seeks to hold over Alastor's head forever (not that Luci isn't free to do a bit of gloating); not a way for Lucifer to harm him under the guise of aid; not a favour for a blank cheque to be cashed in at a later date.

Finally, with no small amount of frustration or needling or "will you please just let me do this holy hell this is taking forever" on Lucifer's part, Alastor agrees.

And maybe when it's over, maybe he hates Lucifer just a little bit less than he did. Maybe Alastor trusts just a tiny bit more.

Seriously, you could write this a hundred times and I would probably read all of that. I'm a sucker for the setup, what can I say?

They didn't have a normal birth! They were C-section babies.

They are always little angels for you, Vaggie and Charlie. { How can they not, they love you and they never want to upset their favorite aunties}

Little deer tails and ears, they resemble their father a lot but the youngest twins has your eyes.

The youngest twins is a little more softer but will always stand by her sister's side.

The twins love you more than anything but they are daddies girls, they love Alastor and just love to cling to him.

Angel Dust is their favorite Uncle, they tolerate Lucifer and Husk but that's only due to them being friends with Marilyn, Coltrane, Harry and Edna. Have never met Adam's daughter.

The twins hate Valentino, since Angel Dust { Anthony} is their favorite the love to make his life hell for how they treated him.

Share similar powers to their father, they really don't take on any of yours { if you're a demon} or any of your angelic powers { if you're an angel }

Loves dogs { much to Alastor's chargin but he'd do anything to make his little girls happy }

Here's a cute little idea, Mammon would sometimes end up looking after baby Charlie, he initially thought it would by annoying but would try to entertain her with little tricks (using his stripped tongue like a noisemaker and so on). He ended up finding her so cute that he would frequently volunteer to babysit her. Even in the present, where Charlie wouldn't usually like to associate with someone like Mammon, and vice-versa, the two actually get along great and have a lot of niece-uncle in-jokes. In case you're wondering, yes, Asmodeus is jealous of this.

alastor angst hc: mama’s boy

alastor being a mama’s boy, i think he gets breakdowns after battles where he got hurt a lot and he doesn’t know what to do next with his life, craving his mother’s guidance but he’s forced to be independent and climb up hell’s society.

he just wants to be reunited with his mama but he knows that’ll never happen because he’s far too sinful.

perhaps that’s why he’s sticking around the hazbin hotel, to see if redemption is actually possible; masking the hope through his pessimism.

will he straighten his life out once he finds out sir pentious got redeemed? (i wouldnt be surprised if he acts more nicely and avoids violence once he finds out)

or will he be forever damned in hell for all of his sins?

so like reader would be maybe a snake demon or leopard gecko idk something adorable that is always looking for somewhere warm — leaning snake cus then vaggie would find it adorable when you curl up in a warm spot

you’re constantly looking for somewhere warm, but you’re not a fan of the fireplace so it’s usually on the couch, under several very specifically arranged blankets if not in your room — which was basically a vivarium with all the humidity and plants you had

vaggie cannot stand your room. its basically a sauna on one side, with the basking lights and heat lamps in every space that’s not obnoxiously humid, and freezing fucking cold on the other. and still humid! the place is practically suffocating so she hardly spends time in there with you — and since that’s the only place you’re super comfortable that means you don’t get too much alone time

its a lot cooler at night in your room, and the humidity goes down (especially when you turn off the heat lamps) so you compromise with vaggie and turn the basking lights and heat lamps off earlier in the evening than you have scheduled so she can come sleep in your room at night

obviously she notices you’re not as comfortable without them so she sheepishly suggests using her wings

now even if you’re not a burrowing reptile, a warm, tight space is something you can’t pass up — every reptile loves a good hide, and her wings are the perfect one. if you curl up, you’re barely covered, but it feels safe, warm, and secure, which is enough for you

plus vaggie thinks its the cutest thing ever and lets you lie under her wings whenever you want — finding out you also need to have a cool hide to regulate your temperature and taking advantage of your preference for her wings whenever you need to cool down, regulate, or relax

needless to say vaggie loves coming to and staying in your room now. maybe she’ll even sit in there with you during the day if it means she gets to see you all curled up under her wings
