I wanna talk about something I have mentioned a couple times. Sasuke is a character that by various other characters and by Kishimoto is called by various different Japanese words that imply attractiveness or something preferable, such as beautiful, good-looking, sexy/hot, cool, even cute and pure. No other character has them called this many words as Sasuke. Kishi clearly wrote Sasuke as someone really desirable, to the point some people see traits of how some female characters are often written. It is due to homoeroticism and Kishi’s own bias towards Sasuke.

Let’s first look at volume 38 which I have always found interesting. It is the volume where Sasuke finally properly comes back to the story and starts to move the plot forward. First we have the cover that people have said looks romantic, like a pair of star-crossed lovers, in which Sasuke is on the front with his shirt open. But that is not all. In the same volume in a matter of few pages we see Sasuke in questionable positions with three different male characters. So Kishimoto just happened to draw Sasuke in these odd positions in a matter of a few days. What is the reason? The reason is simply to imply homoeroticism and Sasuke being desirable in a male-male interaction. It is not even subtle.

Of course, Kishi doesn’t forget to drop an implication of Naruto desiring Sasuke as well in the very same volume, despite the two not interacting.

Nor Sasuke’s blunt disinterest in women.

Another thing is Sasuke tends to lose his clothes in his fights, is it fanservice or is it self service from Kishimoto? When Kishi talked about designing Sasuke and Sai, he used “kakkoii” for Sasuke’s open shirt and Sai’s open stomach. So looks like kakkoii is his G-rated word for sexy.

Thank you Karin. It is funny how Kishi sometimes has to make a character say something out loud to make sure people got what he was doing.

With Orochimaru it’s most obvious. There’s obvious sexual subtext to Oro’s pursuit of Sasuke’s body.

Tobito isn’t much better. Why are the villains around Sasuke like this?

Or even Kabuto. Kabuto kept trolling Naruto for being obsessed with Sasuke and then he does this. Telling Sasuke he wants him to stay by his side (I didn’t bother to look for the panel but it’s when Sasuke and Itachi fight him) and then this... obvious innuendo with his... thing. Even Orochimaru has to make an ironic comment about it like seriously Kishi? You just couldn’t help yourself with that Oro panel?

Do you understand now what I mean? Kishi does this weird stuff with Sasuke all the time. Oh he’s so sensitive and beautiful and pure I must have him, he’s mine.

And here’s a bit of mythology Kishimoto used. During the confrontation between Orochimaru, Itachi and Sasuke Kishimoto used the legend of Kushinada-hime as an influence. Kushinada-hime was the youngest of the eight daughters of Ashinazuchi and Tenazuchi. Kushinada-hime was to be offered as a sacrifice to the eight-headed serpent Yamata-no-Orochi who had a sword inside of him, and who had already devoured seven beautiful maidens, but she was saved by Susanoo, who defeated Yamato-no-Orochi with the Totsuka Sword.

The Eight-headed Serpent is obviously Orochimaru in the manga. His eight branches technique and the sword inside of him are clear references to the mythology

The Totsuka Sword is wielded by Itachi’s Susanoo in the manga and it is what defeats Orochi. Just like in the mythology.

So who is the princess/goddess/maiden that needs to be saved from Yamata-no-Orochi? Well it is our Sasuke of course. Is it any wonder why people think Sasuke is heroine when Kishimoto writes him like this? He just wants to stress how desirable Sasuke is, but that at the end of the day, he’s Naruto’s...

(Note: I remember a manga Ranma½ also featured Yamata-no-Orochi, but since it was a comedy manga it was a perverted snake who only liked devouring pretty girls.)

At the edge of a hill, the scenery around it belongs to the owner of the house, although a part of it is enclosed near that estate to ensure a lack of trespassers in the property. A single cherry blossom stood in the middle of the yard, a gentle wind caressing the leaves and swaying the branches back and forth in a calm mannerism. Almost reflecting a mother softly lulling her child back to sleep, saying the baby back and forth.

This silence soon met its own demise at the crunching noise of dried leaves being stepped on. Not by a big boot, but instead by the delicate and sharp pitty patter of four little paws, small and honed claws scratching them accidentally. It stopped right in front of the tree. Putting its weight on its two last legs, the first two were being dirtied by the force it used to grip the dirt, as if wishing to merge with the latter to then jump right on the tree. A few beats passed, and the wind came to a stop. At that same moment, the cat jumped right towards the wood. A bird flew away.

A whine left the small animal, reluctantly accepting the embrace that had not been foreseen. The blond god in question, who had destroyed the chances of that poor little beast to hide away from the blazing sun, could only chuckle as he saw the hatred of that cat turn all fuzzy once he started petting its head.

His steps brought him back inside the house, and he closed the door behind him in a suspicious silence. His careful eyes darted across the room, seizing up every furniture with a curiosity that seemed impossible on the face of a god as old as he is. A few thousands of years can’t help him find where his beloved ran to during his little outing to catch that small naughty boy who went out on an escapade. He walked closer to the small couch, placing the cat there. It lazily laid down, showing the man its belly and almost replicating the pleas his lover do when they wish for some cuddles: which means batting its eyelashes like a saint and raising its paws to appear innocent and almost hurt by his ignorance.

Rolling his eyes playfully, he sat down, indulging in the funny little tricks of that small cat. Two fingers were put between the ears of the animal, the two muscles twitching at the contact. Then, he dragged his fingers down towards the back of its neck, to then move to the front. The lazy one refused to move, forcing the god to hold it to continue the caresses in its belly. When the cat started purring, he knew he had won this small war to satisfy this greedy scoundrel who will probably soon start putting its scent on the bed and all around the house — not that it was an intrusion he seemed to mind. Although he would probably need to convince his lover with kisses, it has to be the fourth cat, or maybe fifth, that he is bringing home.

His thoughts escaped him when he felt the cat growing limp under his touch. Under the corner of his eye, he noticed that its eyes closed, and that its breathing had settled to replicate his own. What a funny little thing. He playfully ruined the perfect fur of its head before getting up to venture the rest of the house.

Arriving in the kitchen, he had guessed they wouldn’t be there. Most of the time he is the one in charge of the cooking duty, they pretend it is because of a certain laziness, but he never misses the shine in their eyes that keeps him up at night every time their palate enters in contact with something he had cooked. His eyes danced around the counter, noticing the dishes done already, and a batch of handmade cookies in a pristine jar.

Opening a cabinet, he took out a small plate and put it next to those. His gloved hands grabbed the lid, and made it spin on itself until it opened. The scent that came alongside made him breath in deeply, the smile on his face softening increasingly quickly. He picked out a few of those, probably eight or something like that. There were a few more left inside. He closed the jar, and pushed it near the wall to ensure that the sleeping one would not break anything. He took his own little time to prepare a small hot chocolate for them too, making sure to get the measurements perfectly, to do it just like they wanted. He will never miss the opportunity to feel those soft lips he cherishes so much against his skin.

Taking a tray, he put down the plate of cookies and the hot chocolate on it. Before leaving to go upstairs, he made a trip back towards the living room, taking out two books from the library on the left of the door towards the backyard. The first one of that series was missing, they were probably reading it right now. Having acquired all he needed, he finally went upstairs.

The bedroom door was half open. Found them. Knocking on the door twice, he refused to fully open it until he heard a soft hum welcoming him. The two smiled at each other like two fools in love — what they absolutely were — once they saw the other. He put down the tray on the bedside table, sitting on the bed. His eyes fell down to the book they were holding. He was correct after all, they were reading the first book of the series. The wind entered the room, blowing some freezing air as if it was playing with them for fun. He did not tremble, but he felt them rub their arms.

Eyeing the room, he found the culprit: an open window. A bolt of thunder made it close, the mark on his forehead shining slightly as he used his powers. His other hand caught the blanket at the end of the bed, wrapping it around their shoulder. He stole a small kiss, watching teasingly as he saw their surprise and felt the heat of their breath against his face. He had to stifle a laugh, and they giggled too. Their foreheads touched for a slight second, making them stare at the other’s eye. He saw the world in their eyes, and they saw themselves in his. His arms then embraced them in warmth, coddling them close to his chest and drowning away the loneliness that they both felt for so long.

“Is it okay ?” They nodded against him, their head resting against his shoulder as his hand came to rest on their hip, his arm behind their back keeping them close and secure. He grabbed the mug by the handle, giving it to them as they grabbed it with both hands, feeling how hot it was. He took a cookie, putting it in the hot chocolate and hand feeding them as they giggled about how cringe that whole scene was. He playfully rolled his eyes, doing it again but feeding it to himself. They faked a dramatic gasp of pain and betrayal, taking another bite out of the cookie themselves before stealing the plate on the tray that had been placed down, making him say absurd things in exchange for the tiniest bite.

Time went by, and soon dusk came along. The sound of the shower lulled him into calmness as he stared at the view outside. A small fat bird was singing on a branch of the cherry blossom. Another more little bird came in the end, hiding under the wing of the other one. They were both singing along, almost. Chirping away as if it was all they could do anymore, until they had to wait for the end. It was all they could do in truth, and it reminded him how fragile and mortal the world around him was. How easy it would be for someone to chop off that tree, to destroy the branches, to take away the flowers and the leaves, to kill those birds after taking away their home. To simply, ruin all there is to be ruined. And who would be there to rebuild it all ? Humans are strong, but they can be so fragile when the time calls for it. They can just simply vanish, to never be seen again. And once forgotten, nothing is left of their existence. And the past that has been written, is not anymore.

“Susanoo ?” Fingers caressed his cheek, taking him out of his mind. He looked at them, those eyes full of worries. Those eyes that loved him. Those eyes full of stars. Those eyes that carry the world, the world that he loved. Those eyes that carry the ocean, carrying it the soft song of a mermaid’s lullaby, taken away into the lands. Lands muddy with the rain, with the cries and prayers of those who fancy the gods above. Gods that answer, while others can’t. There is this uncertainty when praying, and that’s beautiful. That’s the beauty of the world. Those eyes are the beauty of the world.

He took their hand in his, his head resting against their chest. At the sound of their heartbeat, he relaxed. They sat down on the desk, letting him embrace their waist as he continued to stare at the birds. He felt hands in his hair, braiding a bit of his blond hair. His eyes closed, and he let out a hum as they brushed a certain part of his neck, a small smile playing on his lips. They continued to rub that spot, making his shoulders tremble as he tried to stop himself from laughing.

“Stop that. It tickles.” They rubbed the spot a few more times, only stopping when he grabbed their hands and kissed their cheek. His head rested on their shoulder, hands going up and down their back. Their gaze followed his towards the view outside, their chin on his head.

“The world is beautiful.” “It is.”

Random 🌞⛈️ Thoughts

-Lying: Amaterasu may prevent people from acting shamefully, but that doesn't suddenly turn them into model citizens. It just turned them into liars. Even if they can't perform the shameful actions, the desire is still there. They just lie to hide it. Tajikarao follows Takamagahara's philosophy and is Amaterasu's cheerleader, but he's definitely not honest about his feelings and intentions. He lied to MC about investigating them because he was too ashamed to admit that he wanted to spend time with them and another time he abused MC's trust to try to pry into their secrets. If Tajikarao acts that way, so do the others.

-Cave: Honestly, from the way Tajikarao described the Amano-Iwato incident I understand why Amaterasu was upset. Without Amaterasu there, everyone was having fun without shame and being truthful about their feelings. As soon as she poked her out to see what was happening, Tajikarao dragged her out and it sounds like the festivities immediately stopped. They probably didn't want to have fun with her. Why would they? She's the one constricting them in the first place. It's probably hard for her to have friends when they're constantly lying to her face, so she won't judge them.

-Shame: We focus on the fact that Amaterasu exposes everyone, but realistically, this is a two-way street. She's the World Representative and the Sun. Just like she watches everyone, they watch her right back. But in her case it's not one set of eyes, it's thousands, maybe millions.

-Susanoo: It's important to mention that Susanoo doesn't care about what others think of him and he doesn't care about what others do. Plus, he's more likely to be honest than anyone in Takamagahara since he wouldn't care about hiding things or being judged for his opinion. Not exactly concrete proof, but Tsukuyomi does say that Tetsuya and Susanoo are similar, the difference being that Susanoo was more honest about his feelings.

-Relationship: Nobody knows what Susanoo and Amaterasu's relationship was like. They just made assumptions. I should be saying the same to myself, but we're theorizing now. I think that Susanoo was mean to Amaterasu and made her upset to some degree because that's what he did to everyone, BUT I don't think she hated him. I think they just got along in private or in a way that went unnoticed. It's possible that Susanoo was the only person that she could actually be herself around without judgement. Susanoo wouldn't have lied to her face and tricked her like the others and he wouldn't have judged her because he wouldn't care if she was shameful. She would've been able to be her fun, prank-loving self around him.

-Behavior: Susanoo most likely behaved the way he did simply because he wanted to, but Tajikarao does mention that there might've been more motivation behind it. If Amaterasu is the Sun, I think Susanoo should be considered a Storm Cloud. Even if it wasn't intentional, Susanoo was there to distract everyone from Amaterasu with his delinquent behavior like a cloud blocking the sun. As long as all eyes were on him, nobody would pay attention to her. And, though unlikely, Susanoo might've understood what he was doing since Tsukuyomi said that he was always the type to care for others even if it went unnoticed.

Tajikarao said that she continued to return and hide in Amano-Iwato long after Susanoo left. She wasn't only hiding from him. Now that Susanoo isn't there to take the attention away, all eyes are back on her and she has no choice but to hide from judging eyes.

This is just my current assessment though. I hope they get to Amaterasu soon. 🌞⛈️

It's pretty interesting how I think they're gonna manage to finally connect Azazel to the Hachijos/Mishimas and Possibly Kazamas

Like the creature in the murals at the end of the first chapter of tekken 8 is OBVIOUSLY Azazel, look at the purple skin color, look at the chest pattern and the green and blue jewelry, look at the head gear.

But if you're familiar with japanese mythology, the murals are also obviously a reference to the myth of Susanoo killing the eight-headed dragon Yamato-no-Orochi.

All Mishimas have the kanji meaning the number eight in their names, Kazuya is no exception.

In Arcade Quest, the guy who going to be your player character's rival and possibly finale challenge and who is obviously kazuya-coded (and mains kazuya, even) is named literally Orochi.

As for Susanoo, well he is dressed in white, for starters, tho I dont think it holds any real weight... BUT. Jun has moves called "Tsukuyomi", "Amaterasu" and her rage art is even called "Amatsu Izanami", all are goddesses relatives of Susanoo. Susanoo is also the god of storms among other things, and the name Kazama roughly means "while the wind is blowing".

Ever since I saw your ask on the mini series/one shots you were planning on making in the future, I saw one of them which suggested a potential one shot (or mini series) of a possible “No Curses AU”. I loved the idea so much that my mind just had to mess around and use my free time just to think of how the AU would look like in a world without curses. I swear, I didn’t have to waste my days like that for thinking about this idea so extensively and yet, here I am! This is just my own ideas on the AU and I thought I should share it with you since you were the one who inspired me to make my own “No Curses AU”.

So imagine this:

A “No Curses AU” where Yuji and Sukuna are twins (Sukuna’s the older brother). Their mother died during the birth process (I wonder how 👀) leaving their father and grandfather to take care of them until the father died not too long after from unaliving himself because of the tragedy of losing his wife. Ever since then, Yuji and Sukuna have been raised by their grandpa. Sukuna met Hime at night when they were both kids: he was taking a walk to get his mind off of things when he found Hime running away from some older drunk guys. She was annoying him so he beat up the drunk men and tried leaving but she stuck by him (Idk about u, but I’m getting some Sukuna and Shisui vibes from this 👀). She was all alone at night because she thought she could sneak away from her father when he’d be sleeping. Ever since then, Sukuna grew to like endure her staying by his side. (Hime’s parents are Sanyu and Susanoo in this btw). They used to go to the same school (with Yuji).

When the three of them turned 15, Yuji and Sukuna’s grandpa died in the hospital which left the twins a bit lost on where they should go right now (Yuji was saddened by their grandpa’s passing while Sukuna felt indifferent but did feel some kind of respect for the old man. Hime was there with the two to support them.)

Not long after that however, Hime decided to help the two twins into enrolling them to the new school she was going to be in: Tokyo Jujutsu High. After some pestering and begging from Susanoo, he begrudgingly recommended Yuji and Sukuna to the higher-ups to which they got accepted.

Now, they both attend Tokyo Jujutsu High where it’s a school for either elites, students that come from traditional old families, people with unique talents, people who worked hard to get there, or it’s either all of the above or one of them. As you can see, the system for enrolment is pretty unfair for some since others can simply be applied for being born in the right family while others have to work hard to get there. This creates discrimination and separates a lot of groups together.

Just like in the original universe, Jujutsu High is a place for the community and provides mediation, general support, education, and shelter. The buildings also visually are the same so nothing about the looks of the school has been altered. It’s location is also where it should be: it’s well hidden on Tokyo's outskirts, far and high in the mountains since it’s so exclusive.

The uniform system is the same as in the original universe as well: you can customize your uniform however you’d like by sending a request paper to the school, regarding them of how you’d like your uniform to look like for your satisfaction.

Tokyo Jujutsu High

The 1st year students are Megumi Fushiguro, Yuji Itadori, Nobara Kugisaki, Junpei Yoshino, and Hana Kurusu.

Megumi Fushiguro has been enrolled for his ancestral traditional roots.

Yuji Itadori got enrolled for his physique and inhuman stamina. He might become a professional runner.

Nobara Kugisaki for working hard with her grades in the countryside.

Junpei Yoshino for being recommended by Yuji. He aims to become a movie critic.

Hana Kurusu for mastering some music instruments. She wants to be a professional musician or even a conductor someday.

The 2nd year students are Maki Zenin, Toge Inumaki, Yuta Okkotsu, Sukuna Itadori, Mizuhime Uchiumi, Panda, and Uraume.

Maki Zenin, Toge Inumaki, Mizuhime Uchiumi, and Yuta Okkotsu have been enrolled for their ancestral traditional roots and individual talents. (The ones between these four who got recognized for their talents were Maki for mastering weapons, and Mizuhime for her impeccable swimming.)

Sukuna has been enrolled for his immense strength and intelligence. His future is looking….quite interesting (so fucking dark omg what-)

Uraume has been enrolled for their excellent cooking skills. Naturally, they are aiming to become a five star chef.

Panda is actually an AI that took the form of a panda. He’s mostly seen on a movable average-sized screen. His appearance has been based off of one of Yaga’s dolls. He was made to learn more about the potential of artificial intelligence.

(I really didn’t wanna exclude Panda from this since he’s one of my favourites so I had to improvise lol. Also, Toge can’t speak in this au. He just interacts with writing on paper or uses sign language for people like Megumi who know how to understand it.)

The 3rd year students are Kinji Hakari, Kirara Hoshi, Hajime Kashimo, Choso, Haruta Shigemo, and Yorozu.

Kinji Hakari got enrolled for his talent in dancing. He’ll be a professional dancer.

Kirara Hoshi got enrolled for being an amazing fashion designer and stylist.

Hajime Kashimo and Choso have been enrolled for their ancestral traditional roots.

Haruta Shigemo has been enrolled for….being lucky.

Yorozu has been enrolled for her intelligence (albeit a very stubborn one) and her immense knowledge for insects and how she plans on using them for the future.

(She’s a nudist but the school strictly, and understandably, doesn’t allow her to be naked so she’s forced to wear the basic jjk uniform *the same one Nobara wears*. She only wears the white shirt and skirt though. She won’t allow anything else. Yes, that means she walks around barefoot even during winter 💀.)

Since the students have different talents and projects they’d like to engage in, the school has teachers who help them sharpen up their skills in order to use what they have for the future.

All of the teachers have been hand selected by the higher-ups above Yaga (which is why the teachers are all past students but Yaga doesn’t complain about that. It leaves him less trouble to explain how the school works compared to if the higher-ups did in fact hire teachers who have never been students here before lol).

Some students, depending on what they’re good at, have managers to help them deal with what they’d like to do for the future. The student can choose the manager they’d like since they’ll stick with them for their whole school years.

(*the managers used to be students who learned how to specifically become managers for other future students*)

The principal for Tokyo Jujutsu High is Masamichi Yaga (passionate doll and puppet maker).

The teachers for Tokyo Jujutsu High are:

Satoru Gojo (professional model) teaches the 1st year students.

Atsuya Kusakabe (detective) teaches the 2nd year students.

Nanami Kento (business man) teaches the 3rd year students.

Kiyotaka Ijichi (manager)

Akari Nitta (manager)

Yu Haibara (manager)

Takuma Ino (side manager)

Shoko Ieiri (doctor) takes care of the students if they have severe or even minor injuries.

Kyoto Jujutsu High

The 1st year students are Arata Nitta, Ranta Zenin, Rin Amai, Remi, and Iori Hazenoki.

Arata Nitta got enrolled for his impressive coordination and teamwork. He’d like to become a manager for Kyoto Jujutsu High.

Ranta Zenin got enrolled for his ancestral traditional roots.

Rin Amai got enrolled for his gambling games. He’s likely turn out to become a game maker.

Remi got enrolled for her beauty model pictures she took. She’s learning to become an influencer.

Iori Hazenoki got enrolled for boxing. He aims to become a professional boxer in a ring.

The 2nd year students are Mai Zenin, Kokichi Muta, Kasumi Miwa, Noritoshi Kamo, Aoi Todo, and Momo Nishimiya.

Mai Zenin, and Noritoshi Kamo have been enrolled for their ancestral traditional roots.

Kokichi Muta has been enrolled for his robotic engineering.

Aoi Todo has been enrolled for his workouts and trainings.

Momo Nishimiya and Kasumi Miwa have….worked A LOT to get here.

The 3rd year students are Naoya Zenin, Takako Uro, Ryu Ishigori, and Charles Bernard.

Naoya Zenin has been enrolled for his ancestral traditional roots.

Takako Uro has been enrolled for modelling. She has the looks and body for it.

Ryu Ishigori has been enrolled for his sweet tongue and aims to become a professional taster.

Charles Bernard has been enrolled for his art. He’s aiming to become a mangaka.

The principal for Kyoto Jujutsu High is Yoshinobu Gakuganji (perfects in electric guitar music).

The teachers for Kyoto Jujutsu High are:

Mei Mei (freelancer) teaches the 1st year students.

Utahime Iori (song and poetry writer) teaches the 2nd year students.

Yuki Tsukumo (explorer) teaches the 3rd year students.

As for the relationships in this au, GOD DAMN THERE’S SO MUCH DRAMA-

For one, Sukuna and Yuji DO NOT get along with each other. Since they’re twins and all, people generally assume that they get along very well, when in reality they can’t stand one another. While Yuji has great friends like Megumi, Nobara, Junpei, Hana, and the rest of the 2nd year students, Sukuna doesn’t have any friends and is perfectly satisfied without the need to have some. The only one who he usually hangs around or becomes chattier than usual with is with Hime. Mizuhime is Sukuna’s childhood (and only) friend (who he also somehow convinced after junior school that they should be ‘friends with benefits’ to which Hime surprisingly agreed). She’s the only exception and Sukuna plans on keeping it like that forever. When she’s around other students, Sukuna just boredly entertains himself to pass the time or just listens from one ear to what Hime’s talking about with the others. He also only talks to other people if he has to or if he’s looking to get something from them. Another exception to his private circle, is Uraume. They are exceptional at cooking so Sukuna usually keeps them around even when Hime’s there. Uraume doesn’t mind cooking for Sukuna when they want to since they admire the guy. In short, Yuji’s friend group consists of the 1st year students and the 2nd year students, while Sukuna’s “friend” group consists of Hime and Uraume.

Of course, just like Tsunami and Bloodflood, the yandere circle does not change so Hime will STILL have a hard time dealing with the suitors even if this is a “No Curses AU” since they’ll all attend her school 💀

Except that there are some additional relationships here and there:

1. Hana is into Megumi but Megumi is into Yuji and Hime.

2. Sukuna and Yuta are into Hime but they’re both in the same class (rip Hime….)

3. Yorozu is into Sukuna but Sukuna is into Hime.

4. Yuji has a secret crush on Hime but Sukuna is aware of it. He loves to hurt him by having some fun with Hime since she and him are “friends with benefits” now. (But as much as Sukuna keeps saying that about his and Hime’s relationship, he actually does have deep feelings regarding her and doesn’t just see their relationship as a way to mess around.)

5. Uraume deeply respects Sukuna but often wonders why he likes having Hime around.

6. Gojo is into Hime and Geto (Geto quit any connection to the school) but since Geto isn’t in the school with him anymore and doesn’t teach like him, Gojo gets to see Hime more 💀

7. Choso and Hajime are into Hime but they’re both in the same class…. (rip Choso 😭)

So yeah, Hime….Good luck 👹

MY FAVORITE PART IS THAT THERE SOME PARALLELS BETWEEN THIS AU AND THE ORIGINAL. mizuhime running away from a creep and meeting sukuna that way = shisui running away from a tiny cursed spirit and falling face first in front of sukuna 😂

your entire au gives me such kdrama vibes, idk how to put it. it lowkey reminds me of boys over flowers with poor girl (sukuna) getting sent to an extremely elite school cuz she helped out a rich kid (mizuhime). the clear divide between the school elites and the ones who got into the school through hard work alone.... every time i think of a no curse AU, i ALWAYS imagine sukuna as the poor dude, rags to richest guy 😂 like, he starts out poor and looked down on but through sheer grit (and violence) he climbs up until HE'S at the top of the hierarchy and you've covered that perfectly 😩👌

THE HAREM VIBES TOO AHHHHHHHH

i'm sorry but despite the yandere harem in this au, i HAVE to ship sukuhime. the story and background you made for them is just waaaaay too good. i bet you sukuna totally found a way to get gojo-sensei arrested for pedophilia for his obvious attraction to his student (mizuhime) 💀

It’s Terumi’s birthday so to celebrate I’m drop a hot take theory. In that Terumi actually does like the world and likes being human-esque. Not that he doesn’t hate everything he totally does but it’s that he can’t reconcile that due to twisted view on the universe. Let me explain.

Terumi, or properly Susanoo, at some point in his tenure as the Master Unit’s custodian developed a soul, a sense of self, and a will. He is in essence born a god and understands he is a god. At the same time he understands that as the Susanoo Unit he is also a tool and a slave. That as mighty as he is he is ultimately subservient to something. This dissonance leads him to resenting the Master Unit and everything it created and him desiring his own freedom from it. Eventually leading him to separate from his divine body, leave the Boundary, and entering into the world.

From there be begins to plot against the Master Unit but begins to develop peculiarities unfit for a god. He takes a preferred human form instead of something more divine, he develops an interest in playing music, he in a physical body has a taste in something as simple as boiled eggs. And while it more than likely meant he enjoys watching human suffering this quote from his Spirit form from BBDW could mean he just enjoys watching people be people and live their lives if taken especially generously.

“Even in this kind of shitty, incomplete state, there's one thing that's good about it. And that would be...just being able to watch lives.”

At the same time though everything in the world is still of the Master Unit’s making and thus he’s still it’s prisoner. He will find no peace of mind while within his sister’s palm. And so he resents and seeks to destroy his sister’s creations. He will hold unto his birthright as a god even as he has no comfort from it. He hates and looks down upon the humans he finds pleasure in imitating. He’ll spend countless years waging a war against his sister and undo her creation so he can make it as he sees fit because his persecution complex prevents him from anything else! So long as Amaterasu is he will never be free and he will resent her and her creations! And he will envy her for her and status and envy her creations who can feel at peace while he is both god and slave and what comforts he can have will in the end taste of ash upon his tongue!

It becomes rather fitting he motifs himself as a serpent as they can be associated with the sin of envy. He hates what he cannot have or be a part of. Terumi wants the world and human comforts but will only have it if it’s his way. However petulant and hypocritical it may be.

YIPPEE BLAZBLUE

I feel like my tastes are known but I still will take this chance to gush a bit about the characters and design philosophy of em that Ive always been real fond of :)

No particular order here or else I'll be here all night formatting on mobile. More under the cut!

HAKUMEN it goes without saying I LOVE HAKUMEN'S DESIGN SO MUCH. The taloned tabi, the silhouette of wide pants and closefitted shinguards/torso. The faces/eyes scattered across his armour while the face is totally blank—made more unreadable and inhuman by the slats of neck guard. Fox-ears built into the helm shape to feel both animal and mechanical like antennae...and obviously the longass hair to sell the "tailed" look.

I remember reading really early on into liking BlazBlue—I can't remember the source, come maul me if I'm wrong—I read that Hakumen as a character and design was made when Mori was in middle or highschool, the idea of "what is really cool," and much of those ideas stayed. I not only really respect that and think its charming as someone who still likes MY own designs from that time, but, as it turns out, middle schoolers are still right. Hakumen is very cool. Augh. Fucking? Time travelling fox-robot samurai who's here to kill his brother to save him and also himself because his old self wanted to do the same thing for the wrong reason and thay thought disgusts him. Also him and Tsubaki in general make me start to choke (positive). God ok I have four more guys to discuss. Yes i also like Susanoo but I feel like thats a copout, I like that he's both animalistic and brutal martial arts as the God of War. Anyways CONTINUING

VALKENHAYN R HELLSING I will admit that he is an old man in a suit and that speaks to me but that he's one of the strongest beings alive as a old man in a suit ohh. And he's a werewolf ohhhh. Shifting just his body parts to kick and rip with his claws, quickly leaping back and forth between a normal bone-breaking jab or knee or biting and snarling—the dance between raw force and refined precision and a brutal tear's always been sooo cool to see and think about. I also think his ribbon in his hair moving to his wolfy tail is very cute. A man of sharp extremes from refined to flashing his fangs, human and wolf, cool and very cute. I like him :)

TSUBAKI YAYOI her uniform is so nice uruururururugh. Big cape and the way it drapes around her in combat like wings... Her sword and buckler/Izayoi looking so unique for being a "basic sword and shield for the hero"-type of deal! The eye on her hat's always been really striking too—the only "cold" colours being her and her uniforms eyes.....................Sparing a glance at Hakumen's recurring red eyes for no reason here. Knightly angel women and her flower-like "tassets" hanging off her clothes. Its a uniform which plausibly feels like it could be a uniform—she doesn't have anything uniquely "hers" or "for this female character" while still being really standout and clean. Her design's just really good guys. You can do so much.

Really want to mention her masked look too at least really quick here. my girllllll...

RAGNA THE BLOODEDGE well of course I really like his design. Yeah him being here is partially obligation because I love his character a lot but both things inform each other in the end. Mr Grim Reaper, Enemy of the World, red-and-black with a demon's arm on one side and a rebuilt one on the other. His big red coat and the oversize shoulders! The massive baggy pants—I love the silhouette he has. Blood Scythe/Aramasa/His sword transforming and able to clack around and shift's just. Always been such a cool design. Seithr-powered man, devil-smoke powered man, ashes of your own old dead self-powered man. Ragna is fucking cool auauauuuaghrhg.

And it DOES only make it more charming that he has a good heart, has a bit of a Kicked Puppy charm about him if you can pardon uhh that implication. He is just some fucking guy and he likes barbecues. He is sweet and cares for stray cats. His dad is a cat. He blows up the government regularly. He's a rebel who visually looks really clean if "intentionally trying to look like someone you should think is cool", which is both dork-charming and cute and also actually yeah cool because it's not a visual mess.

I like that his arm underneath is all belts and bandaged—Bloodedge only wearing half his coat for example is such a good look and it shows his clean black shirt underneath, which feels a lot like... Under that big eyecatching rebel coat of his (personality), Ragna's... Ragna, I don't know. I hope that makes sense. Knowing his personality makes me like his design a lot more than if I didn't I think.

As mentionned in Hakumen's block of text however: I already really like chuuni-ass designs, so combined in Ragna he makes me unwell entirely.

Kitty peepaw. I am cheating slightly here. I like the Kaka Kittens' big hoods too and think they're very cute and very eyecatching and I adore them always—the kittens especially being stompy little things that travel in packs are really cute. I love that Jubei, actual strongest thing in the world, has the oversized paw sleeves too. There's cat claws bigger than his body stored in what looks like emo kids' oversize hoodie sleeves. I can spend as long as I want thinkinh about it but I do always seem to come back to these guys, give or take one change depending on the mood. Unchanging faves are Hakumen and Tsubaki for sure and forever though.

I can't pick it apart but like it. the pant leg sleeve is neat #Kagura I like holding him up to Jin comparatively. You can read his personality off the difference with the open shirt+I prefer #How Kagura's mantle+loose flappy sleeves look to Jin's. Is it the detail? It feels there's more to 'read' there.
