The Second Flautist remains the stupidest but also funniest adaptation choice. Su Minshan, heretofore portrayed as a cringefail loser who needed Wangxian and Wen Ning to save his ass from the Waterborne Abyss, overrides Wei Wuxian’s demonic cultivation abilities TWICE. Not only does he seize control of Wen Ning, but he manipulates the resentment summoned by Wei Wuxian to attack people and turn them into puppets at Nightless City SO EFFECTIVELY that Wei Wuxian cannot regain control of them even on an individual basis with the Yin Tiger Tally helping him.

Su Minshan, true Grandmaster of Demonic Cultivation, is the most overpowered character in the entire series, and we must therefore conclude that he chooses to be Jin Guangyao’s devoted henchman rather than seizing any power for himself because he finds it personally fulfilling.

Playing ssbu; i really do love the direction they went for akiras entire moveset. His melees are sharp and aggressive, while his weapon and spell moves are nice and fluid. Really love how Legs he is; he is a gazelle prancing on the stage kicking everything in sight. Also love his midair neutral B; why is he spinning out of control??? And why is it so effective ? Every little detail they added to make the moves more ‘realistic’ really adds to his character 😊

#chattin #and he is SO flashy in this game lmao its a real treat #its hard to see what im doing in strikers so i cant really compare the movesets #but i did notice that the gun/special in strikers is just as flashy as his smash counterpart #following along w his moves is just me going weeeeeweeeeeeeheeheeweeeeeee #other thoughts; eiga and eiga adjacent moves are so explosive and rough in the main game #but in smash its like a little flick of the wrist ; thats a cute little change #i distinctly remember playing smash and loving it sm bc it was like a more realistic interpretation of the moves in the main game #so i am DEFINITELY enjoying strikers; i live for this shit lol #i think the only things i wanted to change for his moveset was to make his guns fire like fox’s #make the shots shoot out w a slightly faster rate of fire and make them do less damage without interrupting enemies #i feel like it fits the fast pace of his moveset more #and i know the best case scenario was getting the all out attack for his ult #(and its CUTE!! like heres akira and his ult; his FRIENDS!!)#but an ult w arsene or satanael wouldve been so rad #otherwise his moveset is perfect #he is so fast and aggressive and he is so good at applying pressure #watch some tourneys w him; ppl who main him are annoying as hell (usually) but u never get hear these guys talk during matches anyway #akira is like. mid. so hes never in grand tourneys. but hes so fun to play and watch

time to feed the hyperfixation with some headcanons for the semi robotic person;

- After the roller skating incident, he took it upon himself to actually learn about skating and now uses it predominantly to move about. Bought a pair of those shoes with the kick out wheels and Heelys, of course.

-Since he, canonly, can pick up other universes and planets TV shows; to pass time he'll find something bizarre and tune out the world to watch it.

- Adding to this he makes himself close his eyes when doing so. Not because it makes him see things clearer, but because when he's focused on the show, he does not blink. Which unnerves the other Muppets greatly.

- This mother fucker is the most autistic puppet I've seen and I will die on this hill

- Also v body dysmorphic. He turned himself from a 'person' to a technobot for crying out loud.

- Y'know how people will stick their tongue out on poles during winter? Digit does it but to CRT TVs. Kermit has walked in on him more times than he can count just face smushed to the TV. Apparently he likes the feel and 'taste'.

- Stims with the coil cable on his switchboard if he's idling.

- Finds a lot of comfort being close to someone. But this can turn out to be a little much for some as Digit doesn't comprehend personal space most of the time. Kermit is the only one that's adapted to him, normally getting Digit to move back a little but holds onto his hand or jacket for assurence.

- Sometimes when words fail him, Digit will take out his head port and plug it into the nearest screen, displaying the thought he's trying to convey.

- If this dude was an actual human, he would be 6' something. He radiates tall slender man.

- Also 100% naturally stands with his hand like a t-rex.

- Flinches a lot and tends to make himself look unthreatening (this is somewhat canon, watch him carefully when Kermit loses his shit over the band practicing, or Gonzo yelling)

- Common sayings tend to pass over his head such as bite the bullet or right as rain. He will take them literally.

- Adding on that, he's had 'blue screen' moments where too many conflicting thoughts or tasks cause him to freeze. Such as needing to ensure the selected shows are working without interfering with the broadcast or similar situations. Usually a flick of his switch fixes him though he feels uncomfortable afterwards, almost like dealing with the after effects of a migraine.

- As much as he loves music and techno, he will happily vibe out to white, brown or static noise if things are just a bit much.

- Favourite dance is The Robot (naturally) but really enjoys The Wave too. Tried to get Kermit to do it with him but he just got the frog flailing his arms in response, implying his arms can't do it. Digit just blinked at him then reversed the dance back, unbothered by it.

there's probably more that my brain has yet to plop in but these are my favourite. I've also been thinking of a what if he was in the muppets (2015) and how he'd fit in...

Shou's selflessness issues got to be his fatal flaw and it's literally so funny to me cuz it's not the stereotypical "I'm a hero i should die for all the strangers i dont even know" or smthing so noble and beautiful like that nooooo. It's the way he's so content with all the shit he's been thru, the way he just rolls with the punches, makes peace with the difficulties, and even if he ever decides to make a change it's never really "this is bad for me so it must change" it's just the " im responsible for this this is something i should do", his standards for what he deserves and what he doesn't has long since been kind of fucked up by how little anyone made effort to keep his best interests in mind, he has been bossed around and pushed into corners and limits over and over without a choice, he has never been truly seen and understood and taken seriously, and he ended up ignoring his own feelings for the sake of doing things he believed he had to do even if he never wanted to.

Shou never wanted to fight his father, he neved wanted to face that fear, he never wanted his father to be taken away from him in any way, but he believed that he had to fight because he has powers, he has to do things this way because it's what his father deserves, because Shou has this brilliant disfigured sense of morality that only he can understand where hurting everyone and himself to a degree is excused as long as his father gets what he deserves, it's a duty! a responsibility! and the only way he knew how to do things, because no one has ever told him that it's ok to not face all of this, it's ok to escape when it gets bad, to think of yourself, to run away.

And it's the same sense of selflessness that doesn't allow him to think too hardly of something he has with someone, he's so ready to look past red flags as long as he's content, and he's so .. easily contented ... he is genuinely so forgiving and rarely holds grudges, it's not something he works on, it's something that comes naturally, especially when he really loves, but also in general regards to almost anyone and everything. He may get hurt but he forgets, let him love and he'll forgive, he's just simple like that, there is not much more to it. And it only gets worse when his sharp senses of intuition and perception and survival instinct just get yeeted outta the window when he gets attached.
