oh also???? law protecting Zoro????? throwing away the "plan" (which he has been being SOOOOOO annoying about) just to make sure Zoro doesn't die? during thriller bark and sabaody and Zoro's time at mihawks I was SOOOOO upset that no one was recognizing how sacrificial he was being and how he was on his last leg, and no one was stepping in for him until it was too late. Thinking about the fact that Vegas only ever sought out Pete to apologise for everything and at least according to the narrative never again.

He made sure to do everything possible to avoid a confrontation with Pete or to hurt him in any way during the shoot out.

Vegas truly was ready to walk away from Pete wasn’t he? What were days leading up to the shoot out like for him? Every meal now a reminder of how he finally had someone to care for and he made that person walk away from him. The glimpse in the rear view mirror as he’s running away with Porsche (goddamnit of all the people did it have to be Pete’s close friend?). Forcing himself to only think about Kinn and his revenge once the firing starts, keeping his eyes on the target and not letting them wander around knowing Pete’s around here somewhere.

And then Pete just goes and plants himself right in front of Vegas, gun pointed, furious expression and all. Really what can Vegas do but declare his love for him.

the funniest meltdown ive ever had was in college when i got so overstimulated that i could Not speak, including over text. one of my friends was trying to talk me through it but i was solely using emojis because they were easier than trying to come up with words so he started using primarily emojis as well just to make things feel balanced. this was not the Most effective strategy... until. he tried to ask me "you okay?" but the way he chose to do that was by sending "👉🏼👌🏼❓" and i was so shocked by suddenly being asked if i was dtf that i was like WHAT????
