High Hopes Posted Their First Chapter

HWIAOAKQQOKSNSJANSUDHEIWISJJDUEHEHDJHDHDNHSHSHJS!!!!! OKOKOKOKOK SO. Theres an amazing dnd group called High Hopes Low Rolls, and most people know them from @abd-illustrates vids as he plays in the group as Paddy, a soft elf boi, and posted a video of the party as vines (wonderful and made me happy in my saddest days), a speed paint of Paddy and a speed paint of the party, and alsooooo Chapter 0. He also explains stuff about the party and story and stuff during the speed paints and the party as vines vid.

And hooooo boi the Chapter 1 did not dissapoint. It follows the story of Paddy until he meets High Hopes, in a beautiful animation and breathtaking illustrations that are the staple of ABD Illustrates' youtube channel (thats his youtube channel btw ). And holyshit, the story telling. I dont wanna say too much to ruin it to those who choose to see it but Paddys backstory is chilling, the stark contrast between his life and the outside world, the forshadowing of the group in every step he took. I had a strong suspicion the term "They had High Hopes" would lend the party their name later, but instead it was Paddy who stepped into the group and realised that the High Hopes everybody was talking about was this group that he met just now.

And holyfuck this gave me chills.

Paddys dream shattering was heartbreaking in the way it was delivered and planned, and I liked the change of reasoning of why he left and his different mindsets in both situations.

And I cant wait for Chapter 2.

What’s sad is I planned to draw Paddy with Malark but it ended up not saving itself so i have goven up momentarily out of pure sadness lol.
