For the 🦈SirenSong!AU, it looks like the popular idea is for the reader to be related to Logan, a.k.a. Wolverine! Got to admit, that will be one wild ride. Not to mention, the reader is getting every kid he has adopted/had biologically as their siblings/nestmates, all his friends (the X-Men) as their other protectors and caretakers, AND a few of his enemies/rivals (plus their kids/guppies/pups) as possible villainous uncles/aunts/parent figures/other nestmates.

Some of the possible colors and types of sirens everyone is is as follows:

The X-Men:

• Logan/Wolverine: deep sea siren; larger than regular reef or open ocean sirens, but still small compared to other deep sea sirens; long serpentine tail with a long sail, and long, sharp claws, and fangs; has rippling soft, dusky blue and lemon yellow and ink black scales (Animated Series version) or pumpkin orange and iridescent black scales (Evolution version)

• Ororo/Storm: open ocean siren; lithe and powerful; flowing fins around her tail, similar to an eel, can electrocute someone like an electric eel, can still control the elements; moonstone white and blue scales (Animated Series or Evolution version)

• Hank/Beast: deep sea siren; large and soft; strong tail, a bit of fluff like a yeti crab or fur seal or otter; is fluffy and blue, really strong, but his brains is where his best skills lie; furry with royal blue scales (Animated Series) or midnight blue scales and dusky blue-gray fluff (Evolution version)

• Charles Xavier/Professor X: reef siren; partially paralyzed tail, but has had help from both the X-Men and the Brotherhood, and can use a wheelchair on land; powerful ability to mind control creatures, ranging from humans to other sirens, even some animals; shady forest green and summer yellow scales (Animated Series version) or soft brown, jet black, olive green, and tiny flecks of silver (Evolution version)

• Scott/Cyclops: open ocean siren; strong tail with flowy fins at the end; either hypnotic eyes or still has some form of optic beam eyes; ruby red, navy blue, and sunflower yellow scales (Animated Series version) or garnet red, warm brown, and summer yellow scales (Evolution version)

• Jean/Marvel Girl/The Phoenix: open ocean siren; strong and long tail with a long sail; has telekinesis and can sometimes read minds, possible hidden empath ability; bright orange, sage green, and scarlet scales (Animated Series version) or spinel red, emerald green, and a small streak of golden-yellow along her sides (Evolution version)

• Anne-Marie/Rogue: open ocean siren; toned and firm tail; can mimic/take on other sirens' abilities for a short time, has long nails; auburn, sunny yellow, and vivid green scales (Animated Series version) or moss green, dusky red, bone white, and dark black scales (Evolution version)

• Remy/Gambit: reef siren; a bigger sort, has ruffled fins; can channel power into objects and make them explode, same as usual, possibly has a slightly hypnotic voice; russet red, spinel pink, and coal black scales (Animated Series version) or muted brown, charcoal gray, rusty red, and soft pink scales (Evolution version)

• Kurt/Nightcrawler: reef siren; smaller sort, fuzzy and noodly; can teleport; midnight blue fluff and scales with some red undertones (Animated Series version) or navy blue, goldenrod yellow, and small red specks (Evolution version)

• Kitty/Shadowcat: reef siren; medium-sized, and has many frills along her tail; can turn invisible, like a cuttlefish or octopus, but can sometimes become completely intangible; hazelnut brown and baby pink scales (Animated Series version) or soft lilac, dusky pink, and chestnut brown scales (Evolution version)

• Evan/Spyke: open ocean siren; lean and toned; has sharp spines, and can regrow them if lost, kinda looks like a seprentine pufferfish; he is technically only from Evolution, so his scales would be cream, butter yellow, sandy gray-yellow, and warm sepia

• Jubilation/Jubilee: reef siren; thin and wiry, ruffled sail; can make small explosions/fireworks; technically she has been in Evolution, but was a major player of the Animated Series, so for either version, she looks mainly the way from the Animated Series, human and siren form alike, with sunlight gold and bubblegum pink scales

• Laura/Wolverine 2.0/X-23: deep sea siren mixed with reef siren; smaller than most of the others, even Logan, due to being a siren pup; long claws and sharp fangs; she was from Evolution, that is where we first see her, ever; her scales would be yellow-orange and dusky black, looks similar to Logan

The Brotherhood:

• Erik/Magnus/Magneto: open ocean siren; strong and lean; can control metals, might have once dated/been with Professor Xavier; blood red, steel gray, and violet scales (Animated Series version) or brick red, silver, and wisteria purple scales (Evolution version)

• Raven/Mystique: open ocean siren and reef siren mix; lithe and graceful; can shapeshift into other beings; twilight blue and garnet red scales (Animated Series or Evolution)

• Victor/Sabretooth: deep sea siren; very large, flowing sail; sharp talons and sharp fangs; sunset orange, amber, bright yellow, and umber brown scales (Animated Series version) or caramel golden-brown, velvet black, and tan scales (Evolution version)

• Pietro/Quicksilver: reef siren; lean and thin; fastest of the sirens, on land or in the sea; sky blue and snow white scales (Animated Series version) or opalescent white-blue-green scales (Evolution version)

• Wanda/Scarlet Witch: open ocean siren; average-sized and tough; can manipulate chaos and bend some things to her will; pyrope red and dark rose scales (Animated Series version) or carnelian, scarlet, melanite black, and gray flecked scales (Evolution version)

• Lance/Avalanche: open ocean siren; a bit large, firm; can cause earthquakes; asphalt and blue-gray scales (Animated Series version) or steel gray, rawhide tan, charcoal black, and some golden spots (Evolution version)

• Fred/Blob: open ocean siren; large and thick-scaled; near-indestructible and can absorb a hit and not be harmed; mud brown, mustard yellow, and burnt black (Animated Series version) or army green, khaki, ash gray, and dirty blonde scales (Evolution version)

• John/Pyro: reef siren; a bit shrimpy, but has fast reflexes; can manipulate fire; bright orange and sunny yellow scales (Animated Series version) or fiery orange and brick red scales (Evolution version)

• Todd/Mortimer/Toad: reef siren; really small, has slick scales; long tongue and somewhat amphibious; olive green, murky yellow, and gray-green scales (any version)

Miscellaneous Characters:

• Piotr/Colossus: open ocean siren; giant and sturdy; has skin and scales akin to metal if he wills it; metallic silver, gray, black, and blue scales (Animated Series or Evolution version)

• Bobby/Iceman: reef siren; a bit small, and kinda thin and cold, has frills along tail; can create and manipulate ice; pale ice blue scales (Animated Series or Evolution version)

• Rahne/Wolfsbane: open ocean siren; regular-sized, small bits of fluff; can turn into a wolf (or maybe something like, a seal or walrus or otter for this au?); rusty red-brown and peridot green scales and fluff (any version)

• Illyana/Magik: open ocean siren; lean and mean and a powerful teen; has a portal to and reign over Limbo, a weird, demonic dimension; platinum blonde, soft silver, and electric blue scales (Animated Series or Evolution version)

• Roberto/Sunspot: reef siren; average size, has some sharp barbs along his tail; solar energy powers, turns into a living ember; ember orange, dusky red, and sunlight yellow scales (any version)

• Sam/Cannonball: open ocean and reef siren mix; skinny and long; can fly really fast and tends to crash, hence the nickname; pale blue, off-white, daffodil yellow, and bright red scales

• Dani/Mirage: open ocean siren; small but powerful; can manifest desires, dreams, and fears into the real world; banded onyx scales (any version)

• Tabitha/Boom-Boom: reef siren; tall and lithe; can make small explosives/explosions; bright hibiscus pink, banana yellow, and cherry red scales (any version)

There are others, I know, but these were the ones I remembered (and knew enough about) to list off the top of my head. Some versions I'm more familiar with of certain characters, and y'all can imagine any characters in any media, from the (X)MCU, the anime, the Animated Series, Evolution, even the comics... Steven Universe x PTSD! Gem! Reader 

Commission:  Steven x PTSD Reader? I’m a sucker for hurt/comfort fics, so maybe a story about Steven comforting the reader through a nightmare, panic attack, or trigger in the field? I feel like his own trauma would be perfect for comforting/understanding what another persons trauma feels like. :3

Steven was your friend, someone you hung out with quite a lot, the gems at first didn’t take a liking to you, at first because you were one of the gems found in the kindergarten poofed. But with Steven’s enthusiasm in allowing you to be reformatted the gems allowed you to join them.

It was hard at first trying to fit in an otherwise strange world with new faces and new gems. Before you were poofed you had been with another gem named Hassonite she was a gem that was one of your “owners” basically an aristocrat that was given to her. Hassie was everything to you, she even on numerous occasions allowed you to come with her to earth. 

Unfortunately for you, the gem war was far from over when you both arrived there. She immediately got shattered and left you alone. As you weren’t a high ranking or any other gem you couldn’t fight back and instead was poofed yourself. This left you with trauma, as your only friend was brutally murdered, you were spared, but that didn’t excuse the lifelong trauma you were facing. 

Back to the present you woke up screaming, normally gems don’t need to sleep, but you found yourself becoming more and more human, adapting to Steven’s weird human lifestyle, you find it amazing and interesting. But besides that… Screaming all night and day became a part of your life. It has been a hard few weeks adjusting to life with the gems and Steven and often awoken to Hassie being hurt and all you could do is watch. 

The screaming was alerted by a tired Steven who heard it, you slept on the couch at the beach house, it wasn’t an issue, but Steven offered to sleep on the couch while they worked on a place for you in the Beach House but you rejected not wanting to intrude on Steven. He wandered to the couch only to see you shaking and mumbling Hassie’s name over and over. 

Trauma. 

Steven knew that. He understood that. He had mother issues as people will label it, but his issues were far beyond that. He suffered from a lot of things, he could almost never really get help for, he always believed that other people needed help, and he was just being a burden. 

Trauma.

He’s seen it in a lot of gems. Lapis’ abuse, Amethyst's Defectiveness, Pearl’s Longing for his mother, and of course, Spinel’s Abandonment, out of all the gems, Spinel had the worst so far. Pearl is alongside her, but he could’ve seen himself in Spinel. His mom up and abandoned him instead of sticking by, because he knew it was possible for her to stay. But instead he had to clean up every single issue that his mom left behind in her wake. The pain and suffering of many gems that was caused because of a conflict she could handle. Steven was annoyed he never got a childhood. But he forgotten he was excited to join the gems on battling. As he was the one with the Rose Quartz gem, if only he knew it was a lie…

What was Steven thinking about again?

Oh right, (G/n). He cautiously walked down his loft and into the living room with concern written on his face. He never heard you act like this. He needed to approach you with caution, dealing with Spinel taught him he needed to approach delicately in situations and make sure the person wouldn’t lash out. Steven made his way up to you and sat down next to you. You yelped and smacked Steven by accident. 

“It’s just me, (G/n) no need to worry.” He said. 

“Steven?” You question. 

“Yup, that’s me.” He noticed your shaking stopped slightly and you seemed to calm around him. He began to take that as a sign. 

“So…” Steven began, “What got you yelling like that?” He asked. Your face paled. 

“You… Heard that?” You asked. 

“Yes.” He said. 

“...Well, I don’t know… It’s just… Well. I am scared.” You admitted. 

“Of what?” Steven asked. 

You took a deep breath. 

“That wasn’t the same (G/n) you heard before, I-” You began, your voice beginning to get shaky. Steven grabbed both your hands in his and looked at your eyes. 

“Slow down and tell me slowly.” He said. 

You nodded and continued. “What you heard was one of my many PTSD Nightmares. I… I was known as (G/n)-1A3L. I was given to a Hassonite lovingly referred to as Hassie…” You looked longingly at whatever you were trying to look at. 

“But then she died. She was shattered in front of me when we arrived on Earth for a mission by Yellow Diamond. I was spared, I don’t know why they didn’t kill me right there and now, I lost my purpose the day Hassie died.” You said, your lip trembled. 

“Ah, so you have survivors guilt. I know that feeling… I one time shattered Jasper by accident, and I tried to fix her. I was scared I killed her, but I managed to save her. There’s many other gems that weren’t lucky and I couldn’t save them. I can understand how you feel. But you know the best part?” He asked. 

“What?” You asked. 

“It happened, and it’s over, you may have lost someone close to you. But just because they died doesn’t mean it’s over for you. As long as you fight for them and show them in the gem afterlife that you are happy. You can do anything. But we all got to understand most of it isn’t our fault, and we cannot help them. They wouldn’t want us to suffer. They would be happy to see us move on…” Steven said. 

You sniffled. “Is that the case, how would you know what’s best for me?” You asked. 

“I don’t. It’s up to you, I just give advice. I normally don’t look after myself until I corrupt myself or have the gems worry.” Steven said, you sighed. 

“Why would you have others worry for you like that?” You asked. 

“It’s something I don’t understand myself either, I was overwhelmed by the amount of things said by my mother at first, it was all positive and I wanted to be her, so I genuinely began to help others and then… Years passed and I found out all that was said was a lie sort of, and I began to frantically help people and involuntarily corrupt myself. Which I didn’t even know was possible.” Steven admits. 

“Sounds like you and I have different trauma but similar issues. We push ourselves and beat ourselves up. Sometimes we think that it’s not enough and that we need to do more, but… Sometimes what we’re looking for after all comes years later.” you said, looking at Steven. 

“What are you saying, (G/n)?” Steven asked. 

“I’m saying, the thing I was looking for was you. After Hassie’s death, I looked for something to try and fix me. Something I wanted to help with. Then… I became friends with you. I realized what you were… I was looking for my miracle my angel, Hassie sent me you.” You said, Steven smiled and hugged you as the two of you cuddled. The next morning Pearl found the two of you cuddled on the couch and she covered the both of you with a blanket.

It’s not too much. Trigger warning for suicidal thoughts and talk. If you don’t think you can handle that then feel free to skip this one!

As close as Spinel was to you, she didn’t know everything. You were just fine with that. There were parts of you she didn’t need to know about, that you didn’t want her to know about. You couldn’t escape the feeling that if you shared those darker parts of you she would leave. She would see just how broken you were and not want to have anything to do with you and you would be left all alone. You knew it was stupid. You knew she’d never do something like that. You knew she loved you and would never just abandon you, not for any reason. But your mind didn’t always follow logic, did it? Sometimes you couldn’t stop the thoughts that she didn’t actually love you and that she would leave you the moment you gave her a good excuse.

But you knew that was stupid. One day you decided it would be best to just tell her what you were struggling with and hope for the best. You still feared the worst. 

Spinel at you when you went downstairs, arms outstretched in a silent plea for cuddles. The smallest smile spread on your face. How were you supposed to say no? She giggled with delight when you sat on the couch next to her, nuzzling close to your side and wrapping her arms around your middle over and over again. For a moment the two of you just sat there in silence, enjoying each other's presence. But then you frowned. Spinel noticed.

“Hey sunshine, is something wrong?”

You huffed but didn’t really respond. You still had to figure out what you were going to say.

“No, not really.” You admitted and a look of worry crossed Spinel’s face.

“Why? Did something happen?”

You shook your head, burying your face in her hair. It kept you calm.

“No, not really, I just kind of… get like this sometimes? It’s hard to explain.” Spinel gave you a reassuring squeeze. “It’s just that, sometimes everything becomes just too much to handle. It all seems like so much and … I don’t know. My mind gets in a really, really bad place and it’s hard just to keep living. Sometimes, on really bad days, it just… feels like everything would be easier if I wasn’t around, you know? Like, If I just killed myself then I’d be saving everyone the trouble of dealing with me.”

For a moment Spinel was quiet. This was it, you were sure. There’s no way she’d stay now. She’d leave you all alone because who would stay? Who would even care enough to bother with someone so broken? Who would care enough to try and help you or fix you? Who would even care about you?  Maybe it would be better if you weren’t around, then she wouldn’t have to deal with your mess.

You tried to pull away but Spinel didn’t budge. If anything, her grip tightened.

“Spinel?”

“... Do you feel like that right now?”

You nodded, trying not to pay too much attention to how shaky her voice sounded. She pulled away, just enough to look at you properly. Her eyes looked so sad and you felt an immense sense of guilt wash over you. You shouldn’t have said anything. You didn’t want her to be upset because of you.

“I think I should go..” You said, making no move to do anything of the sort. Not like Spinel would let you. She shook her head, eyes leaving yours as she thought. You wanted to just vanish.

“What are you going to do?”

Spinel shrugged.

“This, I guess. I really don’t like that you feel like that. I really, really don’t like it, but I can’t really control your thoughts or anything. At least if you’re right here I know you’re going to be okay. That you’re not going to do something to hurt yourself.”

Your body relaxed a little at her words.

“I guess that makes sense…” 

“Wanna watch a movie?” 

You nodded and Spinel put something on, stretching her arms so she didn’t have to leave you. Once it was playing she wrapped her arms around you again and the two of you settled in to watch. You let the commercials before the movie play, didn’t really care enough to skip past them. 

“Hey, Y/N?”

“Yeah?”

“If you get this bad again, promise you’ll come get me?”

You smiled a little and nodded your head.

“Okay. I promise.”

Jester! Spinel and Royal! Reader? Maybe a Human Au?

Your parents noticed how unhappy you’ve been lately. Being a royal isn’t easy, there’s not many options for entertainment when you’re not allowed to do certain things or go certain places. So they hire a jester named Spinel to keep you entertained.

Right away, the two of you seem to click. Spinel is charming and fun to have around, always making you smile and brightening your otherwise boring life. Pretty soon you’re best friends with her.

She’ll cheer you up when you’re sad, and even make fun of the suitors you dislike to make you laugh. She does all sorts of tricks with her body(she’s the daughter of contortionists) that you could never do.

Soon your relationship with her goes further, but you have to hide it from your parents. Spinel is good at finding ways to sneak around and hide, even with that silly outfit of hers. You spend several nights in her arms, just loving her so much, the other princes and princesses don’t even come close.

After some close calls, you decide that pretty soon hiding it will be impossible. So you come up with a plan to runaway with her. It involves stealing some money, sneaking out of the castle, and running off to another kingdom to live as commoners.

Spinel x human! s/o headcanons

💗 When she firsts meets her s/o shes most definitely nervous as heck as she's not used to feelings for anyone as something besides a friend, assuming they start off as friends of course. As at that point any sort of closeness she has would be with the diamonds or the crystal gems (especially steven)

💗 speaking of steven, it'ld be almost definite that he's the reason you meet in the first place, if spinel spent a decent amount of time on Earth steven would obviously want her to hang out with other people asides from him (just so she gets more used to people who aren't gems, good friend-making practise afterall)

💗 once you started to go out more, you can bet that you could be tracked down to either Beach citywalk fries (probably the only food you can get Spinel to eat) or Funland arcade, which its a miracle that you haven't gotten kicked out or banned from yet, if only Spinel would stop cheating via stretching.

💗 as time went on Spinel would probably find herself staying on Earth a little longer each time she came to visit, not that it would be a problem transport wise with easy warp-pad access and all. With the average time-span of a visit going from an hour or two to a day, which doesn't mean she'ld become hugely clingy but she'ld definitely get pretty attached to you.

Me: yes people! Today we gonna talk about the ep 10, Prickly Pair where Steven who can't handle his emotions from the prior episode try to drown them by distract himself with gardening. Unfortunately he cuts his finger on a cactus and he brings it to life.

Steven: wait a minute, I don't have any type of emotions to drown, I'm totally fine guys

Me: yeah sure, and I'm happy with myself. Steven you must be honest with this kind of interviews or it's all gonna be a lost of time and we don't want this! Back to us, first question by... me of course.

How exactly you didn't figure out that Cactus, anyway such great name, was like a parrot? He literally was repeating everything you said ... and you got mad!

Me: ...it's suck... BUT the first step for the solution it's the admission of the problem! Why at the end you didn't talk to the crystal gems?

Steven: I just, I didn't feel to talk in that moments... I felt so embarrassed about all the thoughts Cactus said and I felt stupid for not figure it out that Cactus needed only love... I had its flower in my hand and I was so... I don't know, I just wanted to be alone and think...

Me: ... do you think that maybe you actually need to be alone? Like... go away from Beach City and find yourself?

Steven: I... I never thought about this, I don't know

Me: okey last question and I will finally leave you in peace, do you think that Garnet want you to pet the cat to avoid your future corruption?

Steven: ...WHAT!?

Me: WHAT!? Hahaha! Isn't he funny guys? hahaha! It was such a funny episode! Thank you guys for been with us
