Paging Dr. House: A Medical Mysteries Reading List Once upon a time, I wanted to be a doctor. Never mind my terrible grades in all things science. Never mind that I decided this in my second year of college, after deciding that the music school that I’d wanted for years wasn’t for me. It was 2006. It was the age of Dr. Gregory […] https://longreads.com/2023/03/28/medical-mysteries-reading-list/

"Accidental Love" outfit
“Accidental Love” outfit
Hey, Katers. I know it’s been 10 years since Hurricane Sandy hit the Caribbean and the east coast, including New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania, but it’s time for my “accidental-love” look. I am wearing “Ace Cheerleading” jeans, BT21’s Cooky sneakers, crop top and jacket, Wilson Bentley (aka Snowflake) earrings, snowball white-colored body chain, Chandelier belly ring in blue and an Asian tote…

From Sarge’s kids I think I’m (as of now) excited to learn more about Daisy. She’s got a lot of Elvis in her and she witnesses Elaine go to hell and back to help him beat his addiction and although she’s independent I hope there’s gonna be someone who will be able to do the same for her or stand by her. Not to mention she’s got a twin who they come off as polar opposites (what with Rosalee being a huge Daddy’s girl) and her comments towards her older sister Ella’s marriage - I get the feeling there’s a lot to unpack there.
I think sometimes Elvis felt like he was too much to love and I see a lot of his personal insecurities in Daisy, she even is a popstar like him and that’s a lot of people loving you with maybe them feeling like they aren’t really known for who they are deep down.
I am so happy to hear this, I’ve got a little started on each kid’s own fic (I want one for each like I had for Jesse, just to establish them and then let loose with the intermingling) and I really think hers is compelling. It’s been truly a blast to get to know her and I’ve gotta be honest she may be the most Lisa-like of any Sarge kid in many ways, partly because she’s so Elvis incarnate. It took awhile but me and my scheming buddies have cooked up a good partner for her and she will always have her family as backup and even her godfather Marlon. I think she will, as you said, be publicly adored but can be rather offputting one on one, even though she desperately needs connection. I think eventually, and not after too long, all these relationships get far better, and Daisy finds her little nook in the family easily. She is the one to go to for the zero bullshit takes or help hiding a body. Loyal and fierce that one.
And here, since you made my day asking about her, have a little random snippet I’ve written about her first big debut recording which came from her rehab scribbles and, unfortunately for the family members her lyrics feature -becomes a sensation.
Era: 1978-9ish??
Warnings: moderate…mentions of past divorce, infidelity, a daughter sorta writing a hit tell all? remincence of a one off threesome and Elvis having straight man panic for it (I’m afraid this couple is polyamorous central I’m the 60’s but nothing explicit) big ole family chat with the grown kids, chaos as can be expected…

What about Wendy?
“Daisy Mae!” Elvis bellows her full name because the crime warrants it, and from behind him, her voice answers, not in person from her place sprawled on the couch but behind him, coming through the stereo in a clear cadence that his creative side must acknowledge is skilled and evocative. What Elvis doesn't find so praiseworthy is his Dear Daughter hanging the family laundry out for all to see with lyrics like:
—“So I'll lock the window and turn on the AC, You'll throw your rocks, and you'll scream that you hate me, But it gets old being forever 20, And what about my wings? What about Wendy?”—
out on a clothesline for all the world to commentate on his failings and his marriage.
The music video coming out tomorrow on MTV, teased as featuring a fresh faced Daisy in a montage of her mother’s most iconic looks -including that secretive wedding gown so few of the nation ever saw, rather hammers home the not so subtle point. As far as Elvis is concerned this is about as disloyal as it gets.
And he is having none of it.
“It’s art, Daddy.” Daisy murmurs, utterly unphased by the hurricane of wrath she can match once she gets that cup of coffee Rosalee is making her.
“Is this how you see us?” Elvis demands and Jesse winces to the side, things had been going so smoothly after Danny was born but lord, the Presley’s just can’t manage to be calm for long, Daisy had to record that stupid black book she scribbled in during rehab and, my does it have some choice takes on the events of the last decade. “This how you see your childhood?” Elvus goes on, “Where we loved ya like no one’s ever loved any kids and gave ya everythin’ and-“
“-and slammed a buncha doors in between.“ Daisy shrugs, not meaning to be cruel, but it’s the truth and she’s never had her sibling’s affinity for the affection that the rest of the kids take as blood money for the insanity they got put through. Daisy doesn't hold a grudge against anyone for her childhood, in fact, she’s thankful for the writing material. But she’s not gonna be sorry for writing shit as it was.
Which was mama playing a haggard Wendy while Daddy flitted in and out of the window at whim like Peter Pan.
“Girl,” her daddy begs her to understand as he takes his seat next to her on the sofa, big ringed hand familiar and pleading on her bony knee, as if somehow this appeal of his will lock the song back into her diary and out of the radio -or maybe he doesn’t care about his reputation anymore, he’s gotten lax about that after the divorce, maybe he really is seeking after his child’s good opinion this time when he continues, “I’m all for art’n’shit but have I not taught ya nothin’ bout-“
“Daddy, ya didn’t even write your own songs.” Daisy gently tries to get him to see the difference in their art but Jesse gasps out in horror:
“Daisy!!” like she just shot their father instead of stating the truth. Which is kinda her problem with her family, they can’t take straight facts.
“Alright, alright then,” Elvis simmers a bit but his tone is restrained as he presses his point, “so ya write from the heart and ya wrote about life, I get ya. So then why’d you call mama Wendy when, w-w-when she’s -she’s my Tinkerbell?”
“You’d rather I used your pet little name in public?” Daisy scoffs at his muddled logic and feels bad for the first time after -soon as his brow furrows in genuine hurt. Daddy loves mama, he loves her again like a new man and Daisy doesn’t get how that works but it’s the truth and she’s got no fight to pick with the truth. It makes her admit with a shrug, “I used it ‘cause Marlon always says she’s Wendy.”
You could hear a pin drop the way everyone’s chatter in the living room stops, even the coffee maker stops spluttering in the distance and it’s highly likely Jesse isn’t even breathing as everyone’s head’s swivel, Daddy’s slower but more intent than any, to look at Elaine where’s she sits in the white arm chair, blanket cast over her where Danny fell asleep while nursing. She’s as white as the rocker she sits in.
“Oh does he now?” Elvis rumbles and Daisy feels the unintentional bite of his nails on her knee.
“Well yeah, he does and -always has.” Daisy insists as if the past and present existence of Brando’s opinions on Elvis’ wife makes shit any better, Daisy knows it the second she lets it out that it’s not exactly balm on the scab.
Her voice doesn't make anyone look away from mama and her perfect, frozen face, carefully neutral and soothingly disinterested in the topic.
“That man has only ever called me, Elaine.” mama laughs an airy, dismissive little thing and the bite of Daddy’s rings on Daisy’s knee loosens their grip. “And if he thinks i'm a Wendy -he should say it to my face.” she jokes and Jesse predictably lets out a pained laugh of solidarity.
“-A-a-and w-who the hell did ya get to sew all those recreated outfits, girl?” Daddy is suddenly back on the original topic with a burst of renewed incredulity at her gall and Daisy knows she can use this to her advantage, get him arguing about fashion, tailors and supporting local folks instead of berating her for her lyrics and-
-Ella watches as Elaine’s stiff face smoothes into relief and she lays her head back against the rocker’s cushion and closes her eyes against the hubbub that’s no longer pertinent to her. Not for the first time Ella wonders if mama is as burdened as she is with thoughts and feelings married women shouldn’t have, they really shouldn’t. Marriage should cure a woman of them but Ella had them all alone on the ranch with her husband gone and Mama had Marlon and his lingering looks and her frozen face whenever his name gets mentioned and mama who is staring up at the ceiling like she’s no longer in the room with them at all.
“Peter Pan, Peter Pan, little lost boy actin’ like a big man,” only Marlon could have made that rhyme sound like anything but a goad, only Marlon really saw what Elaine saw when Elvis was sated, pliable, sweet as a newborn and pretty a sin. “Those producers who’ve got him playin’ tough n’ shit don’t know his appeal, they just don’t get it. Goddamn Peter Pan.”
And he had run his fingers over Elvis’ face, catching his drooping eyelids and pulling them down and over his nose to those cherub lips. And Elvis’ eyes hadn’t opened again till next morning when he woke in angry panic.
Elaine stares at the ceiling and feels Danny shift against her breast, snuggling closer, and she wonders if Elvis ever recalls that night like she does. Ever replays it a million times.
Wendy, Wendy Wendy.
Marlon thinks she’s Wendy, Marlon’s told her own daughter that. But never her. No. He’d just raked his hand through the wrecked coiff of Elvis’ gelled hair and admiringly called him Peter Pan. And Elvis, being Elvis in the state of freshly loved and freshly praised, never balked at it before drifting to sleep in their muggy tent.
Wendy, Wendy, Wendy, he never called Elaine that to her face.
Elaine catches Daisy’s eye next time she looks away from the ceiling, an odd moment of recognition. Funny how each child knows a part of her, but it’s the inner workings of Daisy’s curious, generous, honest self -a heart so very like Elvis’ own- that can look back at Elaine and smile at her, while knowing her fully, faults and all. It’s not so bad having grown daughters as a friend, Elaine decides as she watches Elvis flail backwards against the couch to laugh at his daughter's good natured dig at his unmodified wardrobe.
It’s good not to be his only Wendy keeping him young anymore.
Song based on: Wendy by Maisie Peters

Hello! Hope you're having a good day! May I request some headcanons for Dracula from Castlevania? Like how he reacts to Lisa being very affectionate with him and always kissing him or cuddling him. If you don't write for this ship it could be human reader too. 😊

Dracula x Lisa headcanons!!
Warnings : none,
Request : "Hello! Hope you're having a good day! May I request some headcanons for Dracula from Castlevania? Like how he reacts to Lisa being very affectionate with him and always kissing him or cuddling him. If you don't write for this ship it could be human reader too. 😊"
Notes : OH MY GOD OH MY GOD OH MY GOD!!! DRACULA!!! I love him and his wife sm. But I swear to god if his ass isnt in nocturne im cancling my netflix subscription. Also im so sorry about that photo its the o ly one i have of them saved and i am too tired to look for a ashtetic one on google
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
✰> That man has not been held properly in like. A century
✰> Bro needs affection. Loves it too!
✰> He isn't much of a PDA person, even with Lisa, it's just something odd about it to him.
✰> He took him a good minute to get used to the absolute SHOWERS, no... Storms? Fuck it HURRICANES of affection that woman gives him. He loves it too.
✰> He dosent have much of an... 'outer reaction'? He just dosent show it often, but it makes him feel little butterflies with every little kiss Lisa gives him.
✰> Also enjoy this thought, baby Alucard having a nightmare so he sleeps DIRECTLY in between them.
✰> Has Dracula acidentally rolled on top of him a few times? Probably.
✰> ANYWAYS- main focus again. Vlad is 100% retutning all that affection back to Lisa in private, he will not let go of that woman.
✰> Yet he does his best to be gentle with her
✰> To him, human lives are as fragile as glass, and he DESPERATELY clings to her whenever they cuddle with the slight fear it might just be the last time.
✰> Her cuddles make him feel 'soft' not like the spooky scary 'oooo Vlad Dracula Tepes' everyone says he is.
✰> It makes him feel... Human
✰> Through everything? He needs her affection and attention, no matter how soft it makes him.
DOM!KAEYA x OC(?)
[MDNI, 18+] oneshot starts below the line !
A week has passed and Kaeya finally learned her name that one night he slept with her. Apparently, her name is Astrid and she’s to help Lisa a bit with some research along with Albedo as well. She came from Sumeru to help out here in a small investigation, but he never knew that until Jean made a meeting with her and he was taken by surprise.
Even Jean didn’t know that those two knew each other until the day of the meeting. Surprisingly, after the meeting she just looked at him once and left right after, not talking to anyone.
Kaeya was a bit hurt, but he didn’t mind it. Maybe she was turned off by him, or something, in which he didn’t mind since everyone has their turn-offs and turn-ons. Although, what did bother him was that she kept ignoring him and everyone else in Mondstad, she never came back to the tavern, and he hasn’t seen her around in the streets. It was quite a mystery as to where she spent her time at.
It got to the point where Kaeya went asking for her in the library, at the church, at the cat cafe, and many other places. He even went to Dragonspine to find Albedo working alone, he also mentioned that he hasn’t seen her as well which made Kaeya more curious as to where she has been.
A Saturday night came in and he was once again in the tavern, talking to Diluc about Astrid.
“I’m just worried that something happened to her, she hasn’t been seen, but there are signs that she’s still here. Apparently, she leaves random notes about the investigation on Lisa’s desk but never shows her fa-”
“Are you done with your drink? I’m going to close up soon.” Diluc sighed as he rested his hands on the counter, giving Kaeya an unamused look. Kaeya just smiled and nodded, getting up from his chair.
“I didn’t notice that time flew by so quickly, my apologies dear brother.” Kaeya stated as Diluc rolled his eyes and grabbed the cup off the counter as he waved Kaeya goodbye as the dark-blue haired man left Angel’s Share, leaving his brother behind to tidy up.
Even today there was no sign of her at the tavern. He was walking aimlessly around town trying to get his mind off things and then head home, but he found himself walking up the steps to a familiar place. Kaeya was now standing outside her door, her curtains closed, but light shined through them as a sign that she was probably awake.
He took in a deep inhale and held it for a few seconds before exhaling softly through his nose as he got the courage to knock on her door. Sadly, there was no response from her as he stood there for a few seconds, so he decided to knock again and he heard some noises behind the door.
His mind immediately thought that she probably had company tonight with someone else, but when she opened the door he was greeted with her looking like a hurricane passed by her and her house. “Oh, did I catch you at a bad time? I apologize for coming in at-”
“Is there something you need? I’m almost done with my part of the investigation, Kaeya.” She sighed, clearly annoyed and frustrated as she took a step back and let him in as he stood outside, being hesitant into entering.
“Ah no, I just came here to check up on you. Are you feeling okay?” He asked with a small smile as she sighed and place her head.
“Sadly no. I haven’t been able to see anyone since the meeting. I’m deeply sorry that I haven’t contacted you at all, I’m sure you’re-” She stopped talking and glaces at him from head to toe, lingering her gaze on his cock and turned to look at him, “Pent up and wanted some fun.” A small chuckle left her lips as Kaeya laughed as well.
A small hum left his lips as he disagreed, “Oh no. I’m not always… pent up. I was just wondering if you were okay, no one hasn’t seen you at all, so I came by to see if you’re doing well.” He smiled once more as Astrid was baffled, a small blush rising to her face, looking away from embarrassment.
“T-thanks for worrying. I’m good, it’s just when I get work I literally don’t eat, sleep or anything besides doing my work. I always do this, so I don’t realize I’ve been stuck in my home for a while, now. Once my brain gets working, I don’t stop at all.” She laughed and motioned with her hand at the mess in her house. It was scattered with paper, pens, books, and files all over the place.
“Makes sense. I’m just glad you’re doing alright, m’lday.” He chuckled and looked at her eyes. “Although, you do need a break. How about a midnight stroll? Does that sound good?” Kaeya asked her as she was taken aback at his sudden question.
Astrid stood there by the door, looking between her work and Kaeya, letting out another sigh. “I’ll… I’ll go get changed, I look like a mess.” She laughed gently and motioned him to come in, “Please come in, although, excuse the mess in my house.”
Kaeya nodded and walked in as she closed the door behind him. “Just uh… sit down on the couch, ignore everything else or better yet- close your eyes when you sit down.” Astrid nervously laughed as she ran to the couch and picked up the books and papers and placed them on the floor with a soft thud. The man nodded and smiled, walking to the couch and sitting down.
“It’s fine, don’t worry about the mess. Plus, it’s not a mess if you work hard at your job. It’s understandable.” He stated as Astrid gulped nervously. For some unknown reason, she felt naked, he was seeing this side of her that rarely anyone saw. She was usually very neat, clean, and very confident, but due to her work she felt vulnerable and messy. It was the first time someone said this to her which made her feel even weaker than her usual dominant side.
She just simply smiled at him, “Thanks, Kaeya. I appreciate it, then I’ll go get dressed up. Luckily, I showered this morning, so I won’t smell that bad.” Another chuckle escaped her lips as she made her way to her room as Kaeya let out a sigh of relief as he looked around. Astrid was truly a woman who works hard at her job, Kaeya was simply impressed at her work and always heard praises from Lisa and Albedo when he talked to them about her.
Deep down, he also felt proud of her. She’s a real hard working person, and he liked that about her. There was so many side of her he hasn’t seen, and he hopes to see more of her. He then realized that about a week ago or more, he had been here, tipsy and having sex with her. Not only that, but it was his first time getting fingered in his ass. A slight shiver went through him as he coughed softly, trying to get the dirty thoughts off the way.
Today would be the day where he’s the one taking control and hopefully just amazes her with his charms. A small part of him wanted to see her beg for him, acting submissive and obedient, but he knew it was too much to ask for. A woman like her wouldn’t get topped by a simple knight like him. However, he might just surprise her and himself tonight with this walk.
After a few moments, she came out with shorts on and a spaghetti strapped shirt on with her hair down from her bun. “I’m done. Let’s go.” Astrid smiled at him warmly as Kaeya blinked and looked at her in awe. It might’ve been a simple comfortable outfit, but it suited her well. The shorts hugged her thick thighs in just the right amount, as the shirt made a wonderful outline of her breasts and her cleavage. He gulped and nodded, getting up from the couch and made his way over to her.
“Yeah. Let’s go, after you.” He motioned towards the door as Astrid nodded and walked ahead of him, opening the door as they walked out and she locked the door the second Kaeya was out the door. “Do you just want to stroll around the town, or go outside the walls were the lake is at?” He asked her, walking down the steps of her house as his arms were behind his back.
Astrid widened her eyes and looked at him, “Wait. There’s a small port near the lake where we can fish, right?” She asked gleaming happily as Kaeya nodded. He never thought that such a woman would be quite happy going to a port.
“Yes, would you like to go there? And from there we can walk up the hill and oversee the large lake, is that fine?” He asked as Astrid happily agreed, having a small skip in her step. Kaeya smiled as they walked silently towards the other side of the town, having small topics to talk about they arrived at the steps to go down to the port.
As they went through the gates the fresh air of the lake hit their faces as Astrid took in a deep breath of the fresh air. “It looks rather romantic to walk nearby the port at midnight, especially with the moon out and everyone’s mostly asleep.” She chuckled, blushing a bit at her own comment as she walked ahead of him and saw the small fishes swimming around happily as ducks quacked and swimming peacefully on the water.
Kaeya looked at her back, staring at her with such delicacy as he enjoyed seeing her look out into the lake. “You are correct, it is romantic to be here together under the moonlight.” He stood next to her and glanced at her from the side of his eye, admiring how her hair gracefully adorned her face. His breath got caught in his throat as he saw her eyes glistening by the lakes light, hitting her hazel eyes with pure innocence.
For the first time, he saw her in a different atmosphere. She was acting more delicate and less mysterious compared to the first time he met her. It felt new to see someone in such a vulnerable state, but his thoughts came to a halt as he realized that he was staring and analyzing her way too much. And why was he getting excited about meeting her fully?
“Hey, Kaeya?” Astrid spoke up softly.
“Y-yes?” He stuttered a bit, getting caught off guard as he looked around the lake to make it seem like he wasn’t staring at her for the longest.
“Thanks for worrying about me, I’ve never had someone take care of me like this ever since I was little.” Astrid looked at him as Kaeya looked into her eyes as well, smiling at each other as she blushed and looked back at the duck that was swimming towards them.
Kaeya chuckled, “It’s no problem. I was worried about you, and so were the others.” He licked his lips and let out a small sigh of relief. “I’m just glad you’re okay, but you have to take care of yourself, okay? When you get home, you have to sleep and you’ll work again tomorrow after breakfast.” Kaeya suggested a small routine for her so she could take care of herself.
A small nod came from her as she approached Kaeya until she was standing right in front of him. “I will… but I can’t really promise anything, unless you sleep with me.” She smiled mischievously and smirked at him.
He raised his eyebrow at her and laughed lightly, “Oh? Is that what you want? Okay, then we can sleep in your bed and I’ll cook something up for you at breakfast. You’re lucky I don’t work tomorrow.” Kaeya tilted his head to the side to see her reaction turn into a frown.
“Okay…” She sounded disappointed, as if she actually meant the other meaning of the phrase “Sleep with her” where they would have another heated night, but Kaeya decided to tease her because he knew that he was going to make a move at her when they arrived back at her house.
“Come on, let’s walk for a bit more.” He smiled and grabbed her wrist delicately, dragging her off the small dock and made their way back to the grass near the giant wall.
Both of them walked in silence as he slowly dragged his fingers to intertwine with her. Astrid gulped nervously as they held hands while walking. She knew that once she finished her job here, she would move back to Sumeru, but Astrid didn’t want to focus on that right now. She wanted to enjoy her small fling with him all that she could.
As they reached the cliff side where behind the church was at, he sat down by the wall and leaned his body against the wall, looking out into the fantastic view. Astrid sat next to him as their legs touched, and Kaeya noticed her blushing and getting flustered from such small intimate touches. He smiled to himself, humming as he thought about what to say.
“Say… When are you going back to your home in Sumeru?” He asked, looking at her curiously as Astrid was playing with the grass underneath her.
“I don’t know, but it’ll probably be when we finish the investigation. So I don’t truly know.” Looking back at the grass, she stopped touching it and sighed.
Kaeya hummed and nodded, “Okay, that’s reasonable.” He sighed gently and rests his head back against the wall, chewing on his inner lip a bit. Kaeya wanted to spend a bit more time with her before she left, he didn’t mind this small fling between them, but- do they have someone or was he just another stranger for her? “I have another question… Are we- friends? Colleagues? or perhaps just strangers? I wanted to know what are we since you didn’t push me away.”
Astrid widened her eyes and looked at him, a small burst of laughter came out her lips. Kaeya was confused at her random burst of laughter at his question.
“Oh please, we’re just friends with benefits. I don’t mind your company and I don’t mind having sex with you either. You piqued my interests ever since- well you know what we did a few weeks ago.” She stopped laughing and plastered a smile to her lips.
Kaeya smiled and nodded. “Of course, I feel the same way. I’m glad we’re not just strangers?” He chuckled softly as well.
She nodded and looked at him with tenderness. If she’s being honest, Astrid never had a friends with benefits type of relationship with anyone. They guys she’s met usually ended into a one night stand or she dated them for quite a while, but a friends with benefits was something different.
“Y’know, I’m glad you’re my friend. I hope we can stay in this relationship for a while. I truly don’t mind it.” She stated as her eyes gazed over his face, looking at his lips, nose, eyes, his chin, just sitting on the grass examining his face as Kaeya also did the same, not realizing that she said something.
“Huh? Oh, yeah me too… I’m glad we’re friends.” Another chuckle left his lips, his gaze never leaving her face as well. Both of them were just staring at each other’s faces that they hadn’t noticed that they were growing closer until they felt their breaths on each others lips, tickling their noses.
They jumped as they realized they were both close to each other, but they didn’t back up from one another. Kaeya licked his lips as he closed the distance and pressed a small kiss to her lips as Astrid sighed from the gentleness.
He slowly placed his hands on her legs and waist, dragging her slowly into his lap as she wrapped her legs around his waist as well. Kaeya started nipping at her bottom lip softly, and licking it softly in the process as she happily opened her mouth to let him push his tongue inside her mouth, exploring her mouth as he kissed her softly.
Hands wandering in her waist, pulling her closer to him as Astrid rests her hands on his shoulders, softly stroking them as a smile pulled on her lips. They kissed each other, taking their sweet time as Kaeya broke the kiss first. Panting for air, he looked at her with glistening eyes, he wanted her right now, but his urges told him to tease her a bit more.
“W-what’s wrong?” She asked worriedly, her usual dominant aura wasn’t appearing at all and Kaeya shakes his head.
“Nothing, I just wanted to kiss you a bit.” He smiled as his hands stroked her waist softly, making Astrid shiver softly at the small movements. “Should we go back to your house and sleep? Or do you want to stay here a bit-”
“We can stay here a bit more, I wanna enjoy this moment.” She stated, looking back at his lips as she licked her bottom lip softly. Kaeya nodded and smiled innocently. Astrid bit her lip, wanting to kiss him more, but she didn’t want to beg him at all. “On second thought, let’s go back to my house.” Astrid placed a light kiss to his lips and pulled away as Kaeya nodded, pretending as if nothing happened between them.
“Alright, let’s go.” He stated and Astrid grumbled at bit, getting up from his lap and standing on her feet as Kaeya stood up next and decided to tease her, he stood right in front of her as his face was once again closer to hers. She froze in her spot at the sudden action, but he didn’t move. Instead he looked at her lips, wanting to give off a little sensual tension to her.
Luckily for him, it was working. She closed her eyes and started leaning in, her lips ghosted around his own lips as his hands grabbed her arms softly. Astrid was ready to kiss him, that was until he slightly gripped her arm and pulled his face away from hers. “Come on, let’s go now. You need to rest.” A wicked smile was on his lips as he dragged her back down the cliff, making Astrid embarrassed that her thoughts were wrong.
She truly believed that he was going to kiss her again, but her hopes diminished when he pulled away. And knowing her, she wasn’t going to ask about it or beg for it. Kaeya noticed her slight frown as a grin was on his lips, but he didn’t dare kiss her. He wanted to make her beg, and want it to the point where the only thing she wants is him for tonight.
Making their way back to her house was making her go crazy. Kaeya kept lingering his hand next to her, rubbing his fingers against her hand, and just when he was going to intertwine their fingers, he pulled his hand away to settle them into his pockets to pull out a small lollipop. Astrid declined and lied saying that she didn’t like sweets, so he put the lollipop back into his pocket as he dropped his hand back at his sides, teasing her hand.
Or when they were walking, he would purposely place a hand on her head, ruffling her hair as his hand slowly went to the back of her neck, giving it a slight squeeze, or rubbing her shoulders. His fingers were caressing her neck and slowly sliding down her back ever so slightly. Moving down to her waist, to her hips, and just when she thought he was going to squeeze her ass, he pulled away.
Astrid was practically waiting for him to make a move and just push he against a wall and fuck her there, but no such luck. The tension was evident between them, but Kaeya didn’t dare himself to make it obvious as he was cheerful and friendly as they talked about random things once more. It got to the point where when they got to her doorstep, he made her turn around as he slightly pressed her against her door and tilted his head to the side, making her close her eyes only for him to reach his hand to her hair and pick something out.
“You had a small dead leaf in your hair. I got it out?” He breathed softly near her lips as he pulled away and showed her the leaf that was in her hair.
“… Thanks.” She stated simply, clearly blushing from her wrong assumption. She turned around and got her keys out, trying to figure out which one was the right key, but her mind was in shambles when Kaeya pressed his body closer to her until he was rubbing it against her ass. Her hands trembled softly as she opened her door and bit her lip, entering her house quickly as she walked to her room. “I’m going to bed now… You should too.”
Kaeya chuckled softly, making sure she didn’t hear as he closed the door behind him and locked it. He walked and followed her into her room as Kaeya looked around with a smile, her room was clean unlike her living room and kitchen where she usually sat down to do her work. “Make yourself comfortable, do you… need some pj’s?”
Astrid walked to her closet and grabbed her own pj’s as Kaeya nodded. “Just give me some pants, I’ll sleep without a shirt on.” He said while sitting down on her bed and taking off his top, as Astrid blushed hard. She realized that she was going to sleep next to him while he had no shirt on. Even though they slept together once and seen each other naked, she never really slept together with a person.
“Okay.” She rummaged through her closet to find some large pj pants, and when she found them, she turned around and gave it to him, “Here.” Her eyes traveled up his upper body, seeing how his muscles were flexing with each movement of his body and arms did.
He grabbed the pants and thanked her, he decided to give her a slight tease as he pulled his pants down, leaving him in his underwear as he slid the PJ pants up slowly. The pants were slightly tight so his ass and dick were pushed up a bit, as Astrid’s jaw dropped slightly as she licked her lips. Kaeya saw her reaction from the side of his eyes as he pulled it up and it fit nicely around his small waist.
“Let’s sleep now, yeah?” He turned to her and Astrid broke her gaze from him, looking away from him. She just nodded and closed her closet door.
“Let me just change into my pj’s.” She said and walked out her room to head to her bathroom as she took in a deep breath and let it out. Kaeya chuckled seeing her scrambling out her room and closing the door behind her. He liked seeing her getting flustered around him, it was a different scene from the one he had seen that day in the tavern and when they slept together for the first time.
Once she came back, Kaeya was still sitting on her bed, waiting for her as she smiled. “I’m back, let’s just sleep now.” She placed her clothes folded nicely on a chair nearby, placing it next to Kaeya’s folded clothes. As she walked to the other side of the bed, Kaeya pulled the blanket away and slid into the blanket, waiting for her to do the same.
Astrid nervously got into her blanket, laying down with her head on her pillow as both their faces were staring at each other. Astrid blushed and covered half her face under the blankets, only her eyes were seen as Kaeya smiled. “No need to be shy. I won’t do anything to you.” He smiled as his hand grabbed the blanket and pulled it away from her face, revealing her red cheeks. “You get flustered easily, y’know? I never thought I would see the day that-”
“Please shut up… Don’t make me more embarrassed.” She closed her eyes, pulling the blanket over her face as Kaeya smirked.
“I’ll try, but it is something I’ve never seen before. Where did your confidence go?” He teased as Astrid groaned in annoyance.
“Kaeya, please stop…” A small whimper escaped her lips as Kaeya hummed deeply. Gulping at her whimpers.
“Oh? Are you begging me to stop teasing you?” He leaned in a bit closer to her, pushing the blanket away from her face, revealing a blushing Astrid as her breathing was getting heavier due to covering herself with a blanket.
Another small whine escaped her lips as Kaeya smirked. He never knew that teasing the hell out of her would result into this. He bit his lip, but held himself back, he wanted her to beg for him. However, the only thing he could do was place a hand on her waist, caressing her a bit as Astrid got goosebumps all over her body.
“Let’s just… s-sleep!” She exclaimed and turned around so her back was facing his chest now. He grinned and softly grabbed her and pressed her against his body. Astrid trembled a bit and gasped when her butt was on his hips as his chest was pressed against her back.
Kaeya hummed deeply, “Hmm, goodnight then.” He happily said, but his hand was still caressing her waist, slowly going down towards her belly and squishing her belly a bit.
Astrid didn’t dare move her body against his as his hand kept squeezing her belly and rubbing it. Slowly but surely, she got aroused. Her own hand traveled down to grab his wrist and held it gently. Without saying a word, she guides his hand down to her panties, pushing his hand lower until his fingers rubbed her clit gently, making her gasp. “K-Kaeya~” She whispered his name as he grabbed her pussy, spreading her lips apart so he could rub her clit between his fingers, causing her to moan into her pillow.
Kaeya sucked in a deep breath, he was completely shocked yet so aroused at her quiet confession of wanting to be touched this intimately. He leaned closer to her body, leaning his face to her neck as he breathed in her scent, putting his lips on her neck and began kissing her skin. It made Astrid whimper with his movements. Grinding her hips against his hand made Kaeya move his fingers on her clit, pulling and putting pressure on it.
Just these subtle movements had Astrid completely at his mercy, wanting more of him as she grind against his hands, making sure her ass also rubbed on his cock. His lithe fingers stroked her folds, pushing his hand further down her panties until he felt her entrance being completely soaked. He made a small groan against her neck, licking her skin all the way up to her ear, causing shivers to run down her spine. “You’re already wet for me, hm?” He smirked against her ear.
If only she could see his face, he was completely taken by her. His grin grew on his lips, pushing a finger inside of her. That simple finger was all it took for her to lose her mind, after being caught up with her work, she had totally forgotten how good it felt having someone touch her, taking control over her body. Withering under his fingers made Kaeya chuckle into her ear, licking it softly, causing goosebumps to rise all over her body. A groan left her mouth, throwing her head back. “K-Kaeya, please… Don’t tease me…”
Her submissive voice had Kaeya shocked, after their first encounter, he was sure she would never want to be the one on the bottom, but here they were. “I’m simply pleasuring you, you’re the one who dragged my hand down there.” He whispered, his hot breath tickled her ear, making her squirm in his hold. His finger went in and out of her gently, making sure to stretch her accordingly to make room for his second finger. Pressing his thumbs against her clit made her whine, her hands grabbed her pillow and pressed it on her mouth, trying to muffle her voice, but Kaeya had the upper hand as he grabbed her pillow and threw it to the ground, “Let me hear your sweet noises, love.”
The tone was soft and sensual as he spoke into her ear. Astrid just nodded, letting her voice spill out of her lips. Kaeya groaned in satisfaction as he entered a second finger inside her tight cunt, sweetly stretching her. His fingers were slicked with her wetness, making it so easy to slip right in. Kaeya’s thoughts raced as he thought about taking her completely, pushing his hard cock inside of her, making sure he pinned her hands above her head as he sweetly fucked her brains out. Licking his lips at the thought caused his dick to get hard. Imagining her face contort each time he pushed his cock deep inside her.
“Kaeya… please,” Her shaking voice snapped him out of his thoughts as he looked at her, “I-I need you… Now.” A sigh left her lips.
Something inside of him broke as he swiftly took out his fingers from her cunt, twisting her around so she could lay down on her back, throwing the blanket off them and crawled in between her legs. The way he manhandled her made Astrid’s face heat up in arousal. He immediately grabbed her shorts and panties, pulling them out of the way as he went down on her, gripping her thighs as he spread them apart. Putting his face so close to her pussy had her getting even more wet as he saw just how much she was clenching her hole around nothing.
A simple icy cold blow came out of his lips, blowing to her hot wet cunt as she moaned loudly, trying to close her legs, but Kaeya’s strong grip kept her legs wide open for her. He licked his lips and grinned at her reaction. “Does it feel good?” He whispered, bringing his lips to her inner thighs, kissing her teasingly close to her cunt as her hands went to his hair, gripping it slightly.
“I c-can’t… Kaeya, more.” She groaned, pulling on his hair to bring his face to her cunt as he growled into her cunt, causing vibrations to extend to her pussy. His nose was rubbing against her clit as he felt it throb each time he moved his nose against it. Kaeya took out his wet hot tongue and licked her folds so softly, making sure she felt all the taste buds in his tongue. Astrid was going wild at his slow sensual movements.
Moans, whines, and heavy breathing filled her room as Kaeya kept eating her out so gently that it was painful to her. Truth be told, Kaeya always wanted to do this to someone; going so painfully slow in teasing them and after a while he would build up the anticipation until he pushed his cock in easily to the point where he thrusts in hard and deep, making the other arch their back. “Oh, darling… I love how sensitive you are to my touch.” He once again blew cold air into her wet cunt which made her eyes roll back. He hummed softly, licking from her hole to her clit. Her grip on his hair tighten as he winced against her cunt. “Easy there, sweetheart.” He painfully chuckled.
“Please, Kaeya… I-I’m begging you… Fuck me, please!” Her begging didn’t stop as Kaeya tried to keep his cool, but at some point he had lost his mind. His urges couldn’t be held back anymore as he kneeled between her legs, pushing his pj pants down and stroked himself.
“You’re making me lose it, sweetie… Stop begging…” He groaned, closing his eyes for a brief moment as he stroked himself, but when his eyes opened he saw Astrid looking at his cock, completely drooling at the sight in front of her. He cheeks were red as her chest heaved up and down, her arousal was clearly seen in her tired eyes. A simple tug on his heart made him want to fuck her senseless. Her breath came out in short gasps, and that threw him off course.
Almost immediately, he pressed his body against hers as his cock rubbed sweetly against her wet pussy. “Beg for me, I know you want my cock badly.” He whispered into her ear as her hands wrapped around his shoulders, holding him close. The next thing she did was wrap her legs around him, flushing their hips close to each other as her lips made their way to his shoulder.
“Fuck me like you mean it, love.” She mimicked the nickname he gave her a few minutes ago.
Kaeya had no self control now, all thoughts thrown out the window as his hand slipped between their bodies, grabbing his cock as he pushed it inside of her stretched out cunt. Their voices were loud as they both groaned when he slammed inside of her, hitting every single spot that made her toes curl. Her hole clenched around him as he moaned into her ear.
His hips moved on their own as he pounded deep inside of her. His hands made their way to her wrists and brought them down to pin them above her head, holding them in place with his right hand. His left hands traveled to hold her hips, making sure to look straight into her eyes as he fucked her. Astrid hadn’t noticed his eyes since her own eyes were closed, taking in every sensation that made her legs tremble.
The bed underneath them creaked as he fucked her with such intense passion. He couldn’t get enough of her tightness around her, it was like she was made for him. “S-so close!” Her head went back, gasping as her eyes went wide, blushing hard as she saw Kaeya looking down at her with such a lewd expression on his face. They were both sweating, wetting the bed sheets with their fluids.
“Fuck, cum for me…” He groaned on top of her as his head was thrown back, her cunt was squeezing hard around him, but his hips didn’t stop from rutting hard into her. Their voices had gotten louder as her back arched, pulling him deeper into her as her legs wrapped tightly around her. Kaeya pressed against her deliciously as they both came at the same time, their breaths got caught in their throat as they came. Her cunt was overflowing with their mixed cum as it dribbled out of her, wetting her thighs and spilling into the bed sheets. Her body was quivering underneath him, as he took in the sight in front of him.
His cock twitched hard inside of her as he spilled out his remaining seed inside of her. “Oh archons… You feel so good wrapped around me like that, love.” He said with a smirk on his face, looking down at her as she tried to get her vision back after it blurred a bit, making her see stars from the intense orgasm that she had been building up.
i'm incapable of not seriously analyzing silly scenarios and ideas i think if for some reason the undersiders (real) had to sleep in a cartoonishly large bed together the order to best minimize bloodshed from left to right would be aisha brian taylor rachel lisa alec. brian lisa and rachel would all want to be next to taylor but lisa would recognize that they are NOT making it out of the night alive if brian or rachel aren't next to her so she takes one for the team and lets them have the taylor spots. brian informs aisha that zero argument she's sleeping next to him but she ends up slipping out and trying to cram herself next to alec (loudly snoring and oblivious to this matter) instead by like 3 am at the latest. it doesn't work though because there's no more room on that side of the bed and brian (has been awake this entire time) immediately whisperyells at her to get her ass back over here. rachel alec and aisha are definitely the only ones who actually sleep the other 3 spend 85% of the night staring at the ceiling Thinking Things. taylor and brian world's most miserable "are you asleep" "no" sleepover conversation on the planet. other highlights include REM-sleepied alec repeatedly grabbing lisa like she's a stuffed animal and he's the world's loneliest little octopus (she's being so brave about it and also diagnosing him with 3 mental disorders in her head) and aisha rotating like a rotisserie chicken in a hurricane all night and kicking brian in the face at least twice in the process. like he blinks and she's just unconsciously migrating across the cartoonishly large bed like if a grazing herd of buffalo was a person. she ends up fucking horizontal and with All of the covers. nightmarish. good team bonding experience though mutual suffering begets closeness. not sure which one of them is the annoyingly loud sleep-talker but i think at least 60% of them are guilty of snoring
Welcome, friends, to the Sideshow Bob Awards! Recently I did a few polls about certain elements of Sideshow Bob episodes, and now I shall give some commentary over the results!
Tumblr media
Why did I do this? Eh, funsies, but I’ll always look for an excuse to ramble about Sideshow Bob.
First up is the Award for Humor. Which Sideshow Bob episode is the funniest? Black Widower makes Honorable Mention. While an important episode with a lot of notable moments, I might not personally rank it amongst the funniest. Though Bob’s dry wit (as always) wins me over, and Bart explaining Bob’s plan to Homer, worthy of a chuckle.
Tumblr media
This overall ranking, out of all of the polls, I agree with the most. Sideshow Bob’s Last Gleaming has some stellar Bob moments: Bob on helium, mimicking the Colonel, his pathetic attempt to kill Krusty, and who could possibly forget the Air Show Rant.
Tumblr media
“Air Show? Buzzzzzz-cut Alabamians spewing colored smoke from their whiz jets to the strains of Rock You Like a Hurricane? What kind of country-fried rube’s still impressed by that?!” As for the Air Show Rant, I am also giving it the Award for Best Quote. Unfortunately, this poll did not have much engagement. I expected people to be shy, and I suppose I should have made it a normal poll for people to vote on instead of asking for more direct input, but there are simply too many good Bob quotes to narrow it down! How could I possibly? I had not the strength. His exasperation with his peers, mocking elitist tone, the venom, the sass, the hip swaying and crossing of his feet, going wall eyed and throwing his arms out cuz he always gotta be extra, if there is a perfect Sideshow Bob quote that exemplifies his character it would be this one.
Aside from that, mocking the military and garbage television, this episode offers a ton of laughs, worthy of at least Third place.
Brother From Another Series takes Second, and has a different brand of humor, but the kind that always gets me. It’s supposedly written like an episode of Frasier, which means the script is chock full of one liners from two guys too smart for their own good, constantly trying to one-up eachother. You wonder how both Bob and Cecil could ever end up in Springfield, an environment of pure dumbassery, and it clearly has had an effect on them (they must have drunk the water). Personal favorite moments are the boys with the slack-jawed locals, “especially Lisa, but ESPECIALLY Bart”, and “utterly hopeless”.
To no one’s surprise Cape Feare takes the crown. It often makes top 10 lists for its humor alone, and with good reason. This episode is packed with jokes, funny drawings, and goofiness, with running gags so memorable and powerful that they would get callbacks even 30 years later. The idiocy is at an all time high, both with Homer and Bob, which frankly is necessary to balance out the more sinister and rather tense scenes. Homer scaring Bart, the rakes, the drive through the cactus patch, The Rakes, “Hello Mr Thompson”, THE RAKES. This episode is iconic, and I completely understand why.
Next up we have the Award for Animation. For our Honorable Mention, we have Bob’s official debut, Krusty Gets Busted. I’m glad to see some love for season 1, when everything was experimental especially with the animation. The linework, expressions, poses, models, colors, everything seems off by today’s standards, but you can see the effort and love put into it. There’s something beautiful about how rough it looks because you know what a struggle it was to make it work. And it does work. But I’m biased toward things that are hand drawn.
Tumblr media
In Third for this category, the award goes to Gone Boy, the complete opposite of Krusty Gets Busted. We have the modern era, the clean colors, the characters staying on model, a lot of the stiffness that a lot of people don’t care for. However, there are moments that feel like a return to form in this episode. My eyes lit up when I saw Bob’s face as he encountered Milhouse. Then the dance he does as he sings is song-o. The wintery environment, a few ambitious angles, some great character acting. It’s proof that newer episodes have their beauty too. I only wish that the hallucination sequences went harder. Imagine, if you will, they suddenly went Courage the Cowardly Dog mode on you and changed mediums, turned into something more experimental and maybe truly nightmarish. This episode was great, but it could have been legendary. I am grateful for the feast we got. In Second, Black Widower returns, which dare I say has been robbed. Yes, I think it should have been First. This episode is gorgeous, but as I have established, I liked the earlier, rougher animation.
Tumblr media
Every single frame of Bob’s rant on MacGyver is absolutely wild, as is the skipping through the flowers. The colors in the night scenes. The glow from the explosion. There’s so much character here, so many expressions and extra motions with hands in scenes, even when no one is talking. The weight in Bob’s hair when he throws back his head for a maniacal laugh. What this episode’s got is flair. Once again, Cape Feare takes First. I can see why, because it is a very good looking episode. One of the best. Oh, how I wish the show still looked like this (the latest Treehouse Ei8ht made me crave what we have lost). But I must wonder if it might be taking the number one spot because of how memorable it is with other factors. No doubt it’s funny, with a lot of well done and imaginative scenes. Bob’s lil dance during his work out comes out of nowhere and is hysterical. You think for a minute that the episode is going to cheat you when the elephants are trampling him off-screen then it pans down to show you the exact moment one steps on and off his skull. The increasingly elaborate set and costume designs for Bob’s theatrical performance. There is a lot of artistry to appreciate here. It’s cinematic even. Then again, a lot of the cinematic moments can be attributed to its source material: the 1991 movie Cape Fear, some moments directly inspired. Not to say that all of the work was done for them, certainly not. They put their own spin on things.
Tumblr media
Perhaps the placement is deserved. The shot that goes from Bart’s window, flying over all of Springfield, to Bob’s prison is particularly impressive. There’s a lot of juicy saturation and shifts in color reminiscent of shots from Krusty Gets Busted and Black Widower. It’s safe to assume that I’m drawn more towards character details, and little things like all the lower angles we get from Bob work well in conveying menace, as if we, the audience, are in danger
This concludes Part One of the Sideshow Bob Awards, In Part Two I will cover Best Song and Best Mystery. As for intermission, picture THE RAKES!!!
