hiii! idk if you like industrial metal but today I've been listening to Weena Morloch and thought that Kaputt! fits P1 Dude's vibe to a degree. Maybe it can bring you some inspiration for your art :>
OH AND KUGEL IM GESICHT (9 MM) IS ALSO A BANGER
"Es ist so einfach; Und es macht Spaß; Du willst vor mir verbluten? Nichts leichteres als das. Erschießt was euch kaputt macht, Erschießt was euch zerbricht, Die Lösung aller Fragen ist die Kugel im Gesicht."
"It's that simple; And it's fun; You want to bleed to death in front of me? Nothing easier than that. Shoot what breaks you, Shoot what destroys you, The solution to all questions is the bullet in the face."

Tumblr skews young, so let me just share this.
The worst thing you can do in a job is not be bad at something. It's to say you are great at something while being bad at something. If you need to improve and you're upfront that you're not the best, people will probably help or teach or explain. They will sympathize when you get put on a task you're not qualified for.
If you claim to be awesome at something when you demonstrably suck at it, all of that good will and sympathy is gone and it will not come back.
Confident is good. Stand up for yourself, know your skills.
But the other side of this is to Know your Faults.
This message brought to you by the 23yo who bragged about how he was great at X and had the best program for it, and I spent the weekend doing his job for him because he is so so bad at it, and only about 5% of what he did is salvageable.

there's something deeply gutting about being a writer right now. watching studio execs brag about starving people like you out of your very house just to not pay you anything above the pennies you currently make. watching some people cheer over AO3 being targeted for a DDOS attack. the complete lack of profitability of writing commissions or writing in general in transformative spaces, especially in contrast to fanart. the pivot of so many social media platforms to be video and image based near-exclusively.
I don't know. it just makes me sad to know that the hobby that kept me alive while growing up homeschooled with dial-up internet and local antenna TV... is only ever gonna be a side job with minimal engagement. I know this site is good about supporting libraries and the concept of books but, do me a favor? Reach out to a writer friend you know. Leave a comment on your last five read stories on your favorite website.
Tell us you care.

do any other artists feel like. yeah you're a 'good artist' because you draw things that look nice, but like. TECHNICALLY? you're really not great
i really hate that i can recognise that yes, my art is good, but is it VARIED? is it dynamic?? is my anatomy good? is it full of texture and colour theory? do i know how to do This? can i do That? no, not really. and that's quite painful actually

“And so, Ivan the Terrible, believing he had been poisoned, went mad and kept turning the hourglass to the end of his days...” Hello my beauties, how are you today? 🥀 We are so happy to announce that the seventh in our series of 'Best Of Season 1' mixes has finally manifested from the depths as a gory, gritty, and danceably abrasive ooze. This weekend we’ve brought together an odd fifty minute mix of punk, industrial, and EBM to truly embrace your inner slime to!  Lose yourself within the astral plane painted by artists such as Peace Corpse, Moral Lepers, Vita Noctis, and more with this carefully curated genre-focused enigma! 🔮 Listen here! Big big fan of SI employees being intimidated by Tony at first because wtf iron man is my boss but then a couple months into the job they see Tony in the same room as Steve and realize he's just a science nerd with a big dorky crush on Captain America there's nothing to fear he's just like us fr

I used to believe that bugs were little robots. Lots of people do, it’s the prevailing opinion next to “i’ve never thought about it”. Then I watched a mother wasp mourn her child. An animal who stretched after a nap and did little dances when her daughters returned from flight. Now she is opening her fourth capped hexagon and finding a pale white stillborn. She grasps the baby gently in her jaws and does not put it down for over 24 hours. Carries her loss, pacing back and forth the length of her enclosure. It is not the behavior of a robot.
So I think about the prior odds. Scenario A, bugs are robots. Why do I believe that? Because they are so tiny. Because if they are not robots then my world [where “insect exterminator” is a job title and I can buy a can of mass death at home depot] does not make sense. They must be insignificant.
The wasp makes me reconsider. Scenario B: her kind are like mine. cry when we are sad and happy when we play. Has this feature evolved many times? Or is it common to all the children of the precambrian worm? Every shark in the ocean swimming in their own feelings. Every bird and every cat knowing the thrill of being alive? The wasp made me realize that my whole moral picture is wrong. We’re not alone on this planet,
