I present, in its entirety, the Buggre Alle This Bible from Good Omens (book). Initially the bit about a scribe who is just so done with his job. And then I kept going, all quotes from the book on each canvas. There are Easter eggs aplenty in each canvas. Paint, alcohol and water-based markers, rhinestones, feathers, and other schmutz. I also aged a craft store trunk for it to live in.

DND PEOPLES
This is a Google sheets based DND character sheet. I found it a couple of months ago and whenever I was bored in school I would just make character sheets and then add features that seemed helpful.
Its very useful for making relatively simple homebrew Races, Classes, Weapons, and Other Misc equipment
I am very proud of what I added, especially the spell list and other QOL shtuff, so pls use!!! I will be very happy

Ik it's been a bit, but I swear on the Bachelor Man Bible, I have good reason. I am sick.
Anyways Uranium Suite/Tragic Fact choreo analysis! (Ps, I am slightly biased, I used this choreo for a movement project in my Advanced Actor's Studio class.)
First of all, Constance with that speed talking off a note card? Literally amazing and hilarious, and very realistic. I love it!
The choir snapping! Very funny, very cool. Especially bc people don't start at the same time, so it's even more realistic! Also, the realistic choir movements! Just the snapping and more rhythmic movements in the 2013 production is (imo) even more realistic than the more show choir movement of Fall Fair Suite.
Mischa sounds literally so uninterested, and I love him for that. Also A MARCHING BAND? I'm in marching band, and oh Jesus Christ on a bike, what are they doing with their hands? /lh
It's not actually a big deal, I'm just a huge marching band nerd, only a little less than I am a theater nerd, so I'm very picky. But also, there's no way that marching band sounds good. Uranium City is literally tiny, literally nothing, and they go on to complain about it! Like NO! That marching band would be microscopic. Nothing, nada. They could possibly sound good, but they'd be running on the bare minimum there.
I love the reaching out towards the side of the choir! Probably implying that Jane has a solo, and is performing with them, despite not being on stage atm. Which makes you question even more, how was she not identified? But yk, theory for another day.
I love the choir snapping out of their reach-out, bc it looks like this intense moment of realization. Like, they look so confused! It's really cool, how much emotion every single member is expressing. Also it should be noted, I love Karnak in this show, he's a funky little man with a long ass beard, and I adore him.
I love them looking at each other at the synchronized beat! Even if Noel is being left out :(
Then, every member of the choir (even if you can only see Ocean clearly) just staring out into the audience as they sing about their town going down the drain, essentially. The stillness of the actors works so well for this. You feel like it's a single moment in time that you're observing in slow motion! (Ps, this is basically where I started my movement piece, and my class literally rambled to me afterwards about how amazing the stillness hit at the beginning)
"We will never leave this town at ALL" and then the group head turn to the slow, intercrossing walk, and the hit of suddenly being stuck in that position! Literally amazing, and I love it. Mischa fr just be standing there like "yep, am stronk"
"Our folks, it seems, were too entwined, stubborn, wouldn't change their mind. Hoping bust might turn right back to boom" I love how Ocean, Mischa, and Ricky, the three people possibly most isolated from the town, due to extremely different circumstances, are the three facing the audience. Noel and Constance are staring directly at Ocean, and that's just so cool, bc they're the two who are on opposite sides of each other. Constance, Ocean's bff, and Noel, Ocean's enemy, are the two looking at her, in at least some display of concern. I think it's neat, lol.
"Crossed their fingers, prayed for luck, bowed down to this mighty buck, waiting in this godforsaken tomb" just the pure anxiety on every single members face! Really shows how they must've felt in their final moments. Constance shows the least amount of worry, but that makes a lot of sense, because of Sugar Cloud. I also love how the entire choir stops their movement at tomb. You can also hear a slight clicking in the background, which almost sounds like the track of a rollercoaster, bringing the train up to the top of a drop! I think that's also very neat.
LITERALLY EVERY SINGLE MEMBER'S MOVEMENT DURING "empty people, empty mind. Living like they're killing time, a dead-end town against a dead-end wall" IT'S SO AWESOME!!! I LOVE ALL OF THEIR MOVEMENTS, AND HOW IT REPRESENTS THEIR CHARACTERS.
Also, combining that with the very mechanical movement of "There's nothing cute and nothing sweet, this town has only one main street, let me face my boredom at the mall" which, unlike a lot of things in this musical, where I compare their mechanic movements to the rollercoaster, this is one where I don't. The choir walking here, imo, shows how repetitive life was in Uranium City. How everything felt meshed together, and that you were living the same day over and over and over again. Their next move of reaching out, and then going around in a circle continues to represent that! As well as the loop in the coaster, but that's just a constant theme in this show, lol.
Also, then Ocean leading the choir for "so what do we do to fill our day" "make plans for the getaway!" Is so important. Because literally at least 2 other people (Noel and Mischa, unless their characters changed very very drastically, since I haven't been able to find a full show of this production yet) are longing to get out of Uranium! Also Ricky, reaching for the stars as a getaway? I love that character bit.
Then the choir just complaining and lamenting about how boring, and repeating Uranium City is! How the most fun thing is the choir, and then dying (represented by "build yourself a funeral pyre, so many stimulating things to do") LIKE THAT'S IT and the movement represents that with the precision, and the quickness between movements. That's it. You're born, you sing (and maybe play bingo), you work, and then you die. That's life in Uranium City Saskatchewan Canada, so everyone wants to get out. They don't want that, even if that's exactly what they got in the end.
EVERYONE WORKS AT THE MALL! Literally everyone moves back to the coaster position using a movement that represents a job at the mall. Like, omfg. THAT'S IT. There's nothing else to do. And they continue to represent that unpassing of time with the movement. I adore it. (Off topic, I'm so tempted to make my senior quote "How can I describe my hate? It's one year till I graduate" but I probably won't)
THEM GETTING FLUNG OFF THE ROLLERCOASTER AS IT CRASHES? OMG I LOVE IT SO SO SO MUCH, YOU HAVE NO IDEA
Anyways, that's all! Hope you enjoyed :)

today, after years and years of watching D&D and years of wanting to play it myself, I have finally managed to wriggle my way into a campaign! it was amazing, i love it i love it i love it. i played a sort of officer/hr person (we were playing the alien system so the clsses are still unfamiliar to me) and i killed the baddie by showing empathy and giving a speech about how it's hard to let love go and the other players were so nice and welcoming and nobody made fun of me for watching hours of other people playing RPGs and instead gave me recommendations for more RPG podcasts and what a great night

I've done something very nerdy. I went back and looked at the Yankees 2022 season record to see how many series they won/loss/split. They won 30, lost 17, and split 7. They swept 13 series, and didn't get swept until July (excluding a 1 game series which I figured isn't fair to count as a sweep), when houston swept a 2 game series.
Then I wanted to compare them to the 1998 Yankees, and holy shit. That year they won 40 series, lost 7, and split 11 series. Again excluding 1 game series (which they had more of in '98), they swept 18 series.
Some more fun little tidbits: while the 2022 Yankees had a dominant start and faltered around the all-star break, the 1998 Yankees had an ever so slightly slower start when they lost their first series.

For the headcanon thing: I'm not all the way done Rogue yet, so I could be wrong, but I have a feeling Shay never fully bought into Templar ideology. By outward appearances/records that made it into the database, sure, but anytime ideology comes up he gets a look on his face like he's just a touch skeptical. It would make sense, too, given it's established early on he questions things and that he feels responsible for backing the "wrong side" and aiding in what happened in Lisbon. If he didn't trust another ideology so easily after, even as he actively worked toward and for it, it would still be narratively consistent.
I haven't played rogue - my pc isn't good enough for it 😭💀
mcs - main characters
But i don't think any of the main characters are fully immersed into their ideologies, most are assassins just purely because they believe in freedom and so does shay but shay felt betrayed by the assassins and then goes over to the other side (again i haven't played rogue but) it's sort of a plot hole because if shay wants people to be safe then why would he go to the templars? who are known for unnecessary kills and yk... not really having the people's safety in mind quite so much... the templars are mainly aiming for power which clearly doesn't really align with shay's beliefs. but anyways i think with shay, you're right he does question everything and i think it's more of a case of his guilt taking control of him - like he wants to undo what happened in lisbon, obviously he cant so by going against the assassins it's the closest he can do to 'make up for it'.
THIS GOT LONG LMAO - tl;dr - this isn't a headcanon this is unironically canon
back to my first statement of none of the mcs believing their ideologies, we see this right from the beginning. Altaïr basically rewrote the ENTIRE creed because he realised that the assassins needed improvement, that the ideology of the creed needed to be altered. true love was not a weakness like Al-Mualim thought, it was in fact a driving factor in helping the assassins, what made Al-Mualim's betrayal more heart breaking was his greediness for power - just like a templar. he even says to al-mualim 'how could I regret the only life i've ever known?' he doesn't know anything else other than assassins vs templars because he was born into it and so by becoming the leader of the levantine brotherhood he automatically changed the creed to make it better, and actually end up returning its ideology back to the hidden ones - that's why he was so revolutionary because he improved it all with his codex, he'd only do that if he thought the creed wasn't truly good enough in the first place. i mean his ENTIRE FUCKING STORY IS ABOUT QUESTIONING THE CREED...
every mc assassin has broken a rule of the creed, maybe not specifically with it's 3 doctrines but in someway they did smth different for a better outcome, and we've all seen side characters go 'but that's not the way of the creed !!! we can't do that !!!' and the mc is like 'yeah go fuck urself'. i'd say connor is the most explicit when it comes to that because he was never in the fight in the first place, his whole aim was to kill charles lee/get revenge on the people who attacked his village - but even when he becomes a proper assassin, he still shows obvious signs he doesn't care for it - the most explicit time this happens (as far as I can remember off the top of my head) is in liberations when connor and aveline meet and she says 'connor, are you always certain of the means and the ways of the brotherhood' and connors like 'i... trust my own hands.' he clearly doesn't believe in the assassins entirely and aveline already had doubts, only to be confirmed by connor.
both jacob and evie continuously went against orders from higher ups (the biggest example of this - going to london to liberate it after they were told not to). ezio literally says not to follow him because you're meant to find your own path. and have you seen how TIRED he is by the end, especially in embers he wants nothing to do with the creed anymore, he was so tired of fighting for smth that was beyond him and for smth he would never get to see. he does obviously believe in the creed more than some but i believe that after ac2 and throughout ac3 and acr, the creed became more and more 'corrupted', moving away from liberated thinking to just fighting the templars because they're evil. bayek and aya made the hidden ones to defend people, but even with altaïr's codex, we end up with less of an ideology and more of a movement. and i think just the fact that by the end, most of these assassins are just tired of this fight. a lot of them end up giving this feeling of 'i've had enough - i'm so tired' because they've spent their whole lives fighting and more people will just carry on fighting. and when that realisation hits, most of them have to fight to move on like ezio.
if you've read the wiki, you'll know that the ideology of liberated thinking and free will comes from adam and eve themselves, having fought against the isu to retain that. and i wouldn't say thats disappeared, i mean it is a reoccurring theme, but all the mcs of the games have this 'sudden realisation' of what the creed is trying to be and what it fails to be. the line between 'fighting for liberation' and 'stopping the templars' becomes blurred, and with that the creed becomes distorted, which a lot of the mcs knew which is why they never would 100% believe in the ideologies of whichever organisation they're with. and shay knew that. shay was just the only one to defect because the creed fucked up big time. ironically, despite liberation being the key word in all of this, once you're in this war, you can't escape it.

Close your eyes 2yr week
Anyone else into spending a decadent amount of time researching places for their fics? I have never been to Madrid but I sure have looked up a lot of locations in this city 😅
Here are 3 places in Close your eyes that are real (and 2 that aren't):
Ginkgo, the bar where Lu and Carla hang out in chapter 2 and talk about Lu's recent break-up and her nightmares, is a swanky rooftop bar/restaurant in downtown Madrid. It has an "elegant/casual" dresscode and you need to either pay for access to the terrace or make a dinner reservation with a minimum consumption of 45 Euro. It looks like the exact right mix of fancy and fun for a place that a grown-up Lu and Carla would hang out at.
Tumblr media
La Boca Del Lobo, where the gang goes salsa dancing in chapter 4, is a bar/club that has live music nights every week. It is not specifically a salsa club, but it looked like a cool location and they do play Latin music - so it's not impossible they have occasional salsa nights as well.
Tumblr media
Teatro Kapital, where Lu and Rebe watch Rosalia perform (and have their first kiss) in chapter 27, is one of Madrid's biggest nightclubs and has 7 levels. I had to fudge a little bit here - Kapital’s top floor is a bar/restaurant, not likely where artists would perform. But it DOES have a retractable roof, and who cares for 100% veracity when you can have a romantic under-the-stars kiss?
Tumblr media
Mama Lucia's, the pizzeria Carla and Samuel order dinner from in chapter 6 while Lu barely manages to hang on to her "everything's fine!"-persona, is fictional. But it appears in several of my fics, so it's kind of a staple in my version of Madrid by now 😉
Lastly, Sueño, Lu's favorite café/bakery with the maroon-and-gold coffee cups, where Marina's grandmother used to take Marina, Carla and then Lu for tea when they were high school freshmen, is also entirely made-up. But after 34 chapters, it feels real to me.

I am dying waiting for your next update tomorrow 😩🤩 I can’t wait to learn more about Sander
Ahhhhh, I'm so excited that you're excited!!! 🥰 Oh you will learn so much more about Sander tomorrow 😍😍😍 He is everything. This is THE chapter that scares me most. Because, whatever expectations you might have about this fic, they'll likely be thrown out of the window. I'm so nervous I could puke (sorry). But at the same time, this chapter has my 2nd favorite scene in it, and I'm super excited about it, like stupidly excited about it. I'll leave you with this tease.
I said before that this Merlin scene had something to do with my fic. Well, it happens tomorrow.

What on earth could it mean? 😂😂😂
