Oh man I had a realisation just now Holy shit.
So everyone knows that Sam Wilson is the Captain America we deserve right? And when he shut down Zemo's hypothetical we see that directly, but I just wanted to talk about Zemo's comment about those with the serum being supremecists for a moment.
So I guess there's two ways to interpret this, there's the eugenics interpretation, as in the master race, the facist dream of survival of the fittest which is its own whole other post, but I wanna talk about a different side of things.
Bc Dr Erkstine said that the serum inhanced what was already there right? And even Lemar said that power only makes people more themselves. I feel like this is even more prevelent in terms of belief in themselves and their own morality.
We see this with Carly, who believes her cause justifies her means. In that sense I TOTALLY see the parallels between her and killmonger, both had noble causes but went around it wrong.
You have the plain crazies of Red Skull and John Walker obviously, but I wanna talk about Bucky for a second.
Because Bucky isn't perfect we knew this, and we also know that he is trying to make amends and that he doesn't beleive in the killing of innocents like Carly and Erik.
But what he does beleive in is the supremacy of his ideals which you can argue as being thanks to the serum, sure they aren't as harmful as the other guys but it's there. And we especially see this in how he tramples over Ayos and Wakandas trust in order to get to his goal, which only ends up hurting himself and them in the long run.
You see, all of these people believed that the ends justify the means, which is why Sam is so unbelievably perfect.
Everyone spends the entire episode trying to persuade Sam that whatever he saw in Carly wasn't worth saving, but he just saw a flawed, scared kid who he believed in.
And that's just it. Captain America can never believe that one life has value over another, that's why, for better or for worse, Steve Rogers refuses to give up Vision in infinity war, because ultimately his life is worth saving.
And yeah that's my ramble of why Sam Wilson is a fuckin BAMF and deserves that fuckin shield man!!!!

can we talk about the cap costumes in tfatws and how amazing they are real quick?
the lack of white in john’s suit (aka the representation of purity and innocence) has already been pointed out multiple times. also from the position of the star symbol to the black and white flag on his arm or the way he’s parading this whole character, literally everything about him feels wrong:
Tumblr media
and then there’s sam (I couldn’t find better pictures, sorry):
Tumblr media Tumblr media
white is clearly the dominating colour in his version of the uniform. the star’s back where it should be, right in the center of his chest, he’s not hiding behind the shield or a flag. that’s because he’s now himself become the symbol steve used to represent- not nationalism (ironically mcu steve’s captain america was never about the country itself) or supremacy, but openness, purity, justice, Humanity.
sam understands the weight of the mantle better than anyone else and accepts it nonetheless. however not because it’s his job/the government has hired him to play the part as they did with john, but because sam is a dreamer.
he, just like a little kid, dared to dream, to believe that maybe he could make a difference by putting on that suit. maybe he could do some good in this world, even though people would still point fingers at him, give him funny looks, call him names- it’s a price he’s willing to pay.
because while white may be the colour of naivety, it’s also the colour of hope and faith.
for one world. one people.
and there’s no one who understands that better than sam wilson.

His vision went blurry caused by the tears forming in his eyes. He was not going to break his promise with Tony on going through everything together. This will not be his ending.
“No-”
“Remember,” the man reminded him, although his brain was trying to process the words. “Discovery requires experimentation.”
He blacked out.
Or Steve has been held captive by HYDRA and Tony is going to rescue him (along with an unexpected help).

If you hate Taylor Swift but then cries at shipping edits using Taylor Swift songs and accuses her of being involved in white supremacy, please GET YOUR FACTS RIGHT ABOUT HER and leave your miserable assumptions in the bin.
God, never trusting any Stevetony stan again who probably stan her only for success and leaves her when another situation like 2016 happens or any other stans that hate the Artist of the Decade for blindly believing any media outlets who twists her story. Probably that stan is an Ir*nstr*nge or MCU T*ny only stan who most likely hates all characters other than T*ny.
Newsflash, all characters have flaws and that's what makes them unique. If you wanted a character who is flawless and doesn't do any wrong, you should probably stan an angel from the heavens.

Is Sharon Carter a skrull?
Gullickson, B., 2021. Is Sharon Carter a Skrull?. [online] Film School Rejects. Available at: <https://filmschoolrejects.com/sharon-carter-skrull/#:~:text=Sharon%20Carter%20is%20a%20Skrull,governments%20and%20super%2Dpowered%20teams.> [Accessed 5 October 2021].
Sharon explains following the events of Captain America : Civil War she went underground her country was after her and her friends abandoned her. She found a new life in Madripoor.
Sam Wilson and Bucky Barns were dragged to Madripoor by Baron Zemo they were under the impression that he could connect them with the Power Broker. This mysterious criminal puppet master supposedly set up the Flag-smashers with a new super-serum.
Throughout the season Sharon creeps on the sidelines through her dubious, unnamed connections she helps Sam and Bucky track both the Flag-smashers and the new gone rogue Captain America John Walker.
In the series finale we the audience fnd out that Sharon is the Power Broker but Bucky and Sam don’t know. In the mid-credits for her seemingly helpful role in apprehending the Flag-smashers, the United States government finally pardons Sharon Carter of her illegal actions during Captain America : Civil War. They also offer to reinstate her as a CIA operative and she accepts.
As Sharon leaves the courthouse she makes a phone call she instructs the unknown individual to ‘start lining up our buyers’.
To understand Sharon’s decent into Power Broker status we have to believe that Steve Rogers never checked in with her.
There is two options :
1. Sharon Carter is now a villian she’s enraged at how she was discarded and her years in the wild sharpened her cynicism. The other person on the phne during The Falcon and The Winter Soldier’s mid-credits stinger is Justin Hammer. With Tony Starkdead Hammer’s closer than ever to achieving supremacy as an immortal arms dealer.
2. Sharon Carter is not Sharon Carter. Sharon Carter is a Skrull. Secret Invasion is a prevalent comic book storyline involving a global skrull takeover. As shape shifter the aliens infiltrate critical roles within all major governments and super-powered teams.
The person Sharon is chatting to in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier is the already rumored Olivia Colman or Emilia Clarke. They’re arranging their chessboard, waiting to strike so they can control the planet with as little fuss as possible. They want the war to be over before it starts.
I can hear some of you, “But wait, aren’t the Skrulls good guys?” Skrulls aren’t good or bad. They’re a people, like us poor Terrans. So far in the MCU, we’ve met some friendly Skrulls in Talos (Ben Mendelsohn) and his clan. They’re buddy-buddy with Nick Fury and Carol Danvers, but some of his compatriots are less chummy. Remember, as explained in Captain Marvel, the Skrulls are on the brink of extinction. Eons of war have decimated their numbers and made them desperate. They need a home, and Earth sure looks nice in places.
Sharon Carter, as a Skrull, works. It doesn’t forgive all the flaws found within The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, but it does decode the logical leaps her character takes. Even better, Sharon Carter as a Skrull makes me feel okay about Steve Rogers. The OG Captain America would not have left Sharon hanging in the wind. I refuse to believe it.
For a franchise that has recently made strides to manufacture its villains with recognizable, understandable motivations, a mustache-twirling Sharon Carter lands with a thud. As part of an alien race willing to do anything to halt their species’ eradication, Skrull Sharon Carter sits nicely next to Baron Zemo, Thanos, and Killmonger. They’re baddies with a point. Let’s, please, give Sharon Carter a point.
