i forgot i made a tumblr uhm!! Jay Theory

STRETCHES ARMS

TIME FOR ANOTHER THEORY!!!!

Okay so we all know jays obsession with videogames right?

Videogames are often used to escape reality for some people. Just not having to worry about anything, at all. The feeling of breaking free from all the troubles in life, of fleeing from what upsets you.

What if thats what Jay is doing?

The addiction he has to them is clearly remarkable, you cant miss out on it. Jay has given so many signs that this is something that makes him happy, that makes him enjoy life and everything around him, one of the only things that keeps him sane.

[8:38 PM]In season nine, when they got trapped in the desert, Jay was completely fine with everything that was happening. He didnt care, he thought it was okay and that they didnt have anything to worry about. But look. Jay pretended to play videogames on a piece of wood. This isnt just anything random, its the point that he cant hold on without any sort of game around him. Another shot of his addiction to it.

In season eleven, when Pixal and Wu show the rest of the ninja the hidden base they had built over the past few months for their new vehicles, Jay says he didnt notice any construction going on and Pixal confirms this by saying he was playing videogames. Pixal was building right in front of him, and he didnt notice. And he wasnt just distracted. He was so hyper focused on playing that he didnt care to look. His mind was absorbed by it. This shows that, again, he is too addicted to stop and pay attention to his surroundings.

And of course, Prime Empire.

So, in season twelve when the ninja were looking around the mechanics private office, Jay was busy playing the prime empire game. Once he reached Level thirteen, the game opens and he goes inside. But the thing is, he went inside with no hesitation. He looked at the light and just went inside. Meanwhile, when the ninja found out about that, they made a whole plan to go along with it. And only then went to unlock it.

Jay was so happy to be in there, even if when he arrived he was panicked, but calmed down once meeting scott. When the ninja found Jay, he was excited, the fact that the thing which he only got to play and look at all day, was finally reality, was truly a dream come true to him. Ultimately getting to live in the thing he adored most.

Now why would he be so obsessed with them in the first place?

As said earlier, it could be that he just wants to escape reality, he avoids bad situations and does that by being the comedic relief, this being established in season six when ed confronts him about it. (edited)

And another way to run away from these misfortunes, he does the one thing that keeps him away from them. Videogames.

It could be that he is addicted to them because of his element.

Since videogames need electricity to power and work, it could be that that is the reason behind everything. Jay is electricity, he is the master of it. So maybe he feels a connection to it? Maybe that makes him feel excited and more fastened to them. What if the exhilaration that he receives from the emotions he feels while playing them makes him feel more connected, making him addicted to them, hence not wanting to separate from them.

Addiction is hard to let go, and Jay has been doing this for years no wonder he loses his insanity when there is nothing he can connect to around him. Prime Empire used energy to power, it used other peoples energy to be kept alive, and it fed his powers because of that. Energy is connected to electricity, its one of the things its made out of. So maybe the energy that videogames give out, makes Jay feel so so full of regard for.
