The thing about Leverage is- its intoxicating. There is no other word to describe it. It's intoxicating. I'm only on season 2- but my goodness the show is magical. The dynamic is so genuine, honest, and pure. And it's so ironic- because their criminals. Their thieves and liars... but their so, so, good.

Like they make the family dynamic so believable.

Watching Nate be the drunk dad, not being abusive, and watching his children grow while still being them. To watching Sophie figure out exactly how she fits in- because it's a retelling of Robin Hood and she's suppose to be Maid Marion. And she's an actress, it's how she connects with people. To Eliot whose the big brother who teases and is sarcastic. But if you so much as touches one of his siblings- so help you- the world will be on fire. He's a wolf- and he'll tear you to pieces for attacking his pack. To Hardison whose kinda dorky, nerdy, and awkward but is so smart and resourceful in his own right. Who has the teams back. To Parker whose basically a mouse and can get away with anything with her family. They love her and they will do anything to keep her safe.

If I had a choice of found family- I'd want to join them.

a small thing i really love about the owl house is luz and lilith’s relationship. specifically, how luz starts seeing her as her “cool aunt lilith.” not only does the distinction of ‘aunt’ make my found family heart oh so very happy, the ‘cool’ part is what really got me. it would have been so easy to have luz be embarrassed by her nerdy, finger gun making aunt. she’s, what, 14? as weird as she is, she’s still a teenager—teenagers  are often shown to be embarrassed about their ‘uncool’ older relatives. in the beginning i thought it would follow the same pattern these sorts of episodes usually do: the dorky adult and reluctant kid hang, and then later the adult does something ‘cool’ (like fight a monster or bad guy), and that’s when the kids opinion shifts.

but nope, luz is into it before that. she doesn’t so much as roll her eyes at lilith, not even when she’s talking about deadwardian balusters. the monster fight happens but it doesn’t determine luz’s view on lilith as being cool; thats already established. it’s such a breath of fresh air for me. the whole episode, lilith is trying to be this ‘bad girl historian,’ and in the process of just being who she is she becomes this superstar in luz’s eyes, and i freaking love that.

It makes me so happy that no matter what universe he's in, Wallace Wells is a certified homewrecker. His cool gay roommate charms are irresistible to the "straight" guys and they don't have any defences built up to resist him.

i don’t think i can physically bring myself to watch the live action as it would just ruin the beauty of the animated series and the comics.

“we removed the idea of sexism”- they don’t do it to just make sokka a prick though. the whole point was the kyoshi warriors helped him unlearn these stereotypes. it’s so important for his character development.

So, I have a confession to make, last night I watched a certain movie of a certain franchise I never thought I would have anything to do with it, and holy crap, that movie was Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Movie and I'll just say it, Rise as a whole is TMNT but 100% anime and I already love it and I started watching the series tonight.
