#i just had the thought what if Leah and Haley interacted

Stardew Hills
So my two current obsessions are Teen Wolf (naturally) and Stardew Valley Naturally, I wanted to combine them I wanted to share some of my thoughts to see if anyone agreed/had counterpoints etc This is just for fun, combining my two current interests I totally ignored family dynamics to do this, otherwise I would’ve been stuck - this is based entirely on the vibes I got from the characters Suggestions are VERY welcome
Bachelors
Alex - Liam
I mean, do I really need to explain this one? I also considered Jackson but I wanted the marriage candidates to be well-loved characters.
Elliott - Peter
I’m not satisfied with this but I really struggled picking an option for Elliot. He’s not a character I interact with much and so if anyone has alternative suggestions, please suggest away.
Harvey - Scott
He’s shy with Kira, he wants to be a vet - I feel like this works. I did also consider Scott for Sam because I think that also works.
Sam - Isaac
Speaking of Sam.. again I was on the struggle bus. But Isaac having the contrast between confident and outgoing and the traumatised boy.. feels like Sam in a way.
Sebastian - Stiles
Sebastian feels like me a lot like the fanon perspective of Stiles, I don’t know if anyone else gets that. I also considered Danny for Sebastian, but see what I said about Jackson on this.
Shane - Theo
These vibes are unexplainable but I think people will get it.
Bachelorettes
Abigail - Allison
The easiest placement by far, this needs no explanation.
Emily - Erica
Another purely on vibes, probably more fanon Erica than canon but.. I don’t think it’s a poor choice.
Haley - Lydia
Haley’s progression from how she is when the farmer arrives v when you progress her story mirrors Lydia’s character progression pretty well, I think.
Leah - ?
I struggled so hard with Leah that I came up empty. Nobody in the show is particularly artistic? We see both Lydia and Allison draw/paint but their placements are so perfect that I don’t think Leah trumps that. Open to suggestions
Maru - Hayden
I truly cannot explain or elaborate. It’s not quite right, but it’s what I have - my female Teen Wolf options are limited.
Penny - Kira
I think out of all the Teen Wolf girls, Kira would be the most likely to take on the role in the valley that Penny does.
Other Townies
I feel like these selections need no elaborations and so I will just list them
Lewis - Noah
Marnie - Melissa
Wizard - Deaton
Kent - Chris
I also considered Chris for Marlon and maybe having Kent as Raf - food for thought.
After this point I got kinda stuck so.. you’re welcome?

🪴 Frequently Asked Questions 🪴
Tumblr media
Q. When will you open requests again?
My request status will always be listed in my bio, but hopefully I can open them soon. Please make sure you read my guidelines before requesting.
🌱
Q. Can you write trans characters?
Abso-fucking-lutely.
🌱
Q. Do you write for any other fandoms?
Yes, but not on this blog. I used to be in the V*ltron fandom forever ago (don’t ask), and aside from Stardew Valley, I’m also pretty active in the Kpop and Zelda community. But please note that this is a Stardew Valley only blog.
🌱
Q. Do you write Reader Insert(Y/n)?
Yes and no. I don’t write full thoughts or quick blurbs in the second person, but HCs are fair game. However, I’ll never use “Y/n” in anything I write. It’s nothing personal really, I just think it’s clunky and awkward between regular dialogue.
🌱
Q. Do you only write for gender neutral farmers?
Nope! If you don’t specify any pronouns in your ask or request, I default to gender neutral pronouns, but I can write for anyone.
🌱
Q. Can you write for fat/curvy/thin/skinny/disabled/etc. Farmers?
If you specify in your request what kind of farmer you’d like to see, absolutely. However, because I am a straight sized and (mostly) able-bodied individual, and I try to research before writing about an experience I haven’t lived myself, your request may take me longer to get through than others. I want to represent people accurately and respectfully.
🌱
Q. How long have you been writing?
In general, I’ve been writing since I could pick up a pencil. I got in trouble at school for it a lot. Regarding Stardew Valley though, I’ve only been writing for it since October of 2023. So, about as long as I’ve had this blog.
🌱
Q. Who’s your favorite bachelor/ette?
I have no favorites, per se. Rather, I have ones I can write for easily, and others that I struggle with. I struggle with writing for Maru, Leah, and Emily. I can’t really relate to them, but I believe that has more to do with the way they’re written and not anything I have against them personally. The easiest would be Alex, Sam, Elliott, and Haley. Everyone else falls somewhere in the middle.
🌱
Q. Do you write for SDV Expanded/Ridgeside Village characters?
No. Because I play Stardew Valley on a switch and couldn’t mod the damn thing if my life depended on it, I don’t think I could accurately characterize them. From what I’ve seen of them though, they’re all very loveable and I wish I could learn more about them firsthand. The compilations I see are never extensive or detailed enough for me.
🌱
Q. Can I still follow you if I’m a minor?
On a few conditions:
Do not request anything NSFW.
Do not interact with my NSFW posts.
Please don’t until after you’ve turned 18 and have your age/age range listed in your bio or somewhere else on your blog.

Capturing your beauty
Haley x Leah
Haley often went to the forest to perfect her photographing skills. She felt the valley offered little to no new interesting places, but the forest was the best landscape for her photographic endeavors as it changed the most with each season and had many different elements to explore, such as the lake, the river, the cliffs, the flowers, the trees and recently Haley had found herself taking photos of the artist hut near the entrance of the forest. It didn’t look particularly pretty, but it fit in pretty perfectly with the rest of the landscape.
Today she noticed Leah was outside her hut with an easel and canvas. Haley could only see the backside of the canvas and the easel was pointed towards the area where Haley was standing. She could only assume Leah was painting the frame which was she standing in at the moment. At least she kept looking towards Haley and then went back to painting.
Haley glanced at her surroundings and understood perfectly why Leah wanted to paint this picture. Even though Haley had captured many moments in the forest, each picture was always a little bit different. Today the sky was a bright peach color and the lighting fell perfectly on the autumn trees. She smiled and captured a photo with her camera.
Soon she tired out of photographing her surroundings and decided it was time to head home. As she walked towards her house, she noticed the easel and canvas stood alone. The curious part of her told her to sneak a peek while Leah wasn’t there anyway.
She walked up to the canvas. Leah had made rough paint strokes and she wasn’t detailed in her capture of the forest. But it seemed to be a deliberate choice, to draw the viewer into the center of the painting where a lone figure stood with much more intricate details to it. It wouldn’t be presumptuous for Haley to think it was her, seeing as the figure was clearly holding a camera and wearing the same colored clothes as her. The figure also had her perfectly curly long blonde hair. Haley looked to the top of the painting and noticed the beginning of a small white line. It seemed Leah intended to make it from the perspective of a viewfinder. She was tempted to touch it, but new the paint probably still hadn’t dried and she wasn’t about to ruin Leah’s painting.
“Hey.”
Haley jumped at the voice. She almost knocked over the easel but was quick to grab it before it fell down. Her eyes widened when she realized she was holding the sides and had probably smeared the painting. Luckily though it had only stained her hands, but the painting itself was fine.
She turned around and saw Leah coming towards her with a paint filled palette in one hand and paint brushes in the other hand. She was smiling widely at Haley, clearly happy to see her here and also slightly amused at Haley’s clumsy accident.
“That’s me,” Haley said, brushing off the embarrassment she felt from being caught like that, and pointed towards the figure on the canvas, “right there, that’s me.”
Leah nodded and walked up to the easel. She put down the brushes and palette down next to glass of water on the small table next to the easel.
“I’ve seen you here many times, taking pictures in different parts of the forest.” Leah said. “when I saw you today I was so inspired to paint you, I couldn’t help myself.”
Haley looked back at the painting. It was beautiful. It would probably be too much to ask if she could have it. After all it seemed like Leah had put a lot of work into it. She wondered though what Leah was planning on doing with it.
“Do you not like it?” Leah asked hesitantly, “I can throw it away if you want me to.”
“No!” She yelled and then caught herself. She felt her cheeks reddening and thanked Yoba it was getting darker outside. She cleared her throat. “I mean it’s fine. You can paint whatever you want.”
She turned around and started to walk towards her home again but stopped when she heard Leah calling after her.
“Uhm since you’re here, I was wondering if it was okay if I maybe painted a portrait of you?”
“Huh?”
“I mean not now, of course. I was just wondering if someday I could do it. You would have to model for it, but I promise to be quick about it, as least as fast as I can. I just the outline and then you’re free to move once I have to do the coloring and shading and final details.” Leah said.
“But why?”
Leah straightened her back and her smile grew wider. “because your face is perfect for painting and I have wanted to paint it since I came to town.”
Haley wasn’t sure what modeling entailed for this portrait but she knew she would have to sit still and it would probably take a long time if Leah was going after realism. It didn’t sound too exciting to spend hours sitting still, but at the same time she also wanted to see how Leah would capture her in a painting and there was a part of that was excited at the prospect of watching Leah’s intense expression when she was painting up close.
“Sure. Fine. Whatever. You can paint my portrait some day.”

Leah (Stardew) x Selectively Mute She/Her Reader
A/N: Thought I’d try something different with this one. Sorry if I didn’t detail the instances of sign language very well, or if they are a little off, I did try. Also Kel is an asshol in this when they show up so get ready for that. Robin is cool mom and Abigail is the friend who is always ready to fight at the drop of a hat. Also, time is so weird in Stardew? There are four season in a year but each season is like a month so a year is like four months. Time is scary. I hope you like it! Word Count: 8,943
~
“So, someone has finally taken up that old farmland,” Leah heard Gus say to Harvey as he fixed the good doctor a drink at the bar, “‘Heard Lewis and Robin talking about it outside of Pierre’s yesterday.”
“Is that so?” Harvey was tired from a long day at the clinic, but being ever polite, he humored Gus and rested fully against the bar stool.
“Mhmm, looks like the old man’s kin is finally gonna make something of it. A few years late though I must say, that place is well overgrown. It’s gonna take a lot more than a little elbow grease to spruce up that dump,” Gus chuckled good naturedly and handed Harvey his beer, “I wish them luck, whoever they are.”
“Bah!” Leah jumped in her seat tucked away in the corner. Pam must have been listening in too. “If they’re smart they’ll just sell the heap of trash to Joja. M’sure they’d get a pretty penny for it.” Pam spoke bitterly. Shane, who was also quite drunk at this point in the night, took the opportunity to add his two cents in and yell across the bar.
“Why would they get your daughter for selling out to Joja?”
“That’s not what I meant, dumbass!” Pam roared back, slamming her beer on the table with a loud thump.
Leah decided she’d call it a night then. Without Elliott to crack jokes with, the saloon could get real depressing real fast with Shane and Pam racing each other to see who would get alcohol poisoning first. Even Clint was just sad to watch. The poor man sitting hopefully, waiting for Emily to even just turn in his direction. Leah finished the rest of her beer and paid Gus, giving the man a sympathetic smile as he left to cut Shane off.
Leah shivered in the cool spring breeze as she walked along the river bank to her cottage and her thoughts wandered back to what Gus had been gossiping about.
“A new face around Stardew Valley, hm?” Leah mused, kicking a stray pebble in her path, watching it skip across the cobbled stone. “I guess I won’t be the town newbie anymore.” She smiled and turned to look in the direction of Marnie’s home, knowing that the farm was somewhere just beyond. As Leah turned the key to unlock the door of her small cottage, she wondered what changes this new resident might bring.
***
“Have you met our new resident farmer yet?” Leah heard Caroline ask Jodi as she walked across the town square.
“I suppose you could call it that,” Jodi laughed, “It was a very brief meeting to say the least.”
“I’m glad I wasn’t the only one then,” Caroline sighed, putting a hand to her chest in relief, “I thought I had offended the girl somehow, she never said a word. She just walked into the shop and pointed to a few seeds she wanted to buy, then she handed Abigail, Pierre and I daffodils and went on her way. Not so much as a sound.” Caroline explained, still bewildered by the interaction.
“Sounds about right,” Jodi nodded, “She knocked on the front door and handed me a single clam. Which was nice I suppose, but so very odd. She gave Vincent a daffodil too,” Jodi smiled, “He was very pleased. I’m sure she would have given Sam something as well if he could wake up at a more reasonable time.”
“Oh, Leah! Good morning!” Caroline had caught her. Leah put on her most sociable smile and walked forward, greeting the two women.
“Good morning Caroline, Jodi.”
“Have you been visited by the farm fairy yet?” Jodi asked, chuckling along with Caroline.
“I’m afraid not.” Leah admitted. “Although Elliott says I am a bit difficult to track down at the best of times.” She laughed good naturedly.
“Well, I’m sure she’ll get you sooner or later. She seems to be on a mission to greet the whole town. If you can call it a greeting I suppose. I don’t even know her name.” Caroline realized.
“It’s (Y/n).”
The three women jumped and turned to a grinning Robin, walking up to them with her yoga mat swaddled under her arm.
“Her name is (Y/n). She’s quite the character, huh?”
“Robin, you helped Mayor Lewis move her in didn’t you? What can you tell us?” Jodi asked, looking for any crumb of information she could get on the mysterious girl.
“Not much to tell,” Robin shrugged, “Just a sweet kid wanting to get away from the pressures of the big city,” she sent a knowing look at Leah, “Sounds like someone else I know.”
Leah laughed politely, twisting a finger around the tail end of her braid as blush settled in her cheeks faintly.
“But why is she so... you know, quiet?” Caroline asked.
“Hm, well, she did give me her blessing to explain should it come up.” Robin took a moment to think of how to proceed, absently tapping her fingers against her mat. “(Y/n) is selectively mute. She has the ability to speak, but she’s just not comfortable enough to do so at this time. This move was a big decision for her, and she’s excited, but it’s just gonna take some time before she feels secure enough to communicate orally.”
“And how did you get all this information out of her?” Caroline wondered.
Robin secured her yoga mat between her thighs and presented both hands, pointing her index fingers outward and drew a couple large circles in the air with the tips of her extended fingers. “Sign language!” Robin grinned, before taking a hold of her mat once more.
“Oh how clever!” Jodi praised. “I wish I understood sign language.”
“I’d be happy to show you a few of the basics sometime. If you really need to ask (Y/n) something though she will have no problem writing out answers for you.” Robin informed. “Now, are we working out today or...”
“I completely forgot!” Caroline smacked her forehead with the palm of her hand, “Yes, let’s go. Poor Marnie is probably wondering where we are. Are you going to join us Leah?”
“I’ll pass, thanks. I’m heading to the beach to do some painting,” Leah explained, motioning to her bag.
“Alright, see you around!” Caroline, Jodi and Robin bid Leah goodbye and hurried to the general store.
Leah sighed, as much as she liked the people in this town they were so chatty. She could have been at the beach forever ago! Once she arrived, she saw Haley sunbathing. Not unusual, but as she kept walking closer to shore she saw Elliott splayed out over the sand laying on his stomach.
Leah rolled her eyes and walked over, playfully kicking the man’s arm, causing him to squint up at her.
“Is there some kind of new writing exercise I should know about?” She asked, playfully.
“I wish, this is simply writer’s block at its finest.” Elliott groaned. “That, and I don’t know what I’m going to do with this,” he sat up and produced a wild horseradish from his jacket pocket.
“Why do you have a horseradish in your pocket?”
“A girl I’ve never seen before in my life gave it to me. Then she took off before I could refuse. Didn’t even say a word.”
“She’s totally weird, but she did give me a daffodil so I guess she’s not that bad.” Haley called from her own spot in the sand.
“Has everyone met the new girl except me?” Leah wondered aloud.
“She’s been making rounds. I’m sure she’ll find you eventually.” Elliott said, resting his chin over his arms.
“You make her sound so ominous.” Leah laughed, lowering herself to the sand and taking out a sketch pad.
“A silent specter. A harbinger of-“
“Oh can it, drama queen,” Leah smirked, “so she gave you a horseradish, it’s not the end of the world. She was just trying to be nice.”
Elliott pursed his lips, propping his head up with one hand he turned the horseradish in the other offering it to Leah. “Do you want it? You’re all about foraging.”
“I mean, if you’re not going to use it sure. Put it in my bag.” Leah relented easily. Her eyes only leaving her paper to study the horizon for a moment, then continue to sketch.
Leah stayed on the beach with Elliott for a couple of hours, talking  sketching, and painting. Finally she stood and stretched, patting the sand off the back of her jeans. “I should get going. See you around.”
“See you.” Elliott nodded, splitting off from Leah to head over to his shack.
Leah hummed to herself as she walked through town, making her way past Jodi’s house and entered the Cindersnap Forest. As she rounded the corner of her cottage, she paused in her tracks. Observing a young woman staring at her door with dandelions in one hand and her other poised to knock on the weathered wood.
Leah flinched slightly, she had stepped on a twig, snapping it and alerting her visitor of her presence.
Startled eyes met Leah’s own and the farmer straightened from her previous position, stepping back from Leah’s door.
She smiled shyly, giving Leah a short, jaunty wave before gesturing between Leah and the cottage a moment. Then she stood still. An expectant look on her face.
Leah simply stared back, blinking before she registered the silent question. “Oh! Yes, I live here. That’s my house. You’re (Y/n), right? Robin told me about you, I’m Leah.” She smiled kindly, coming forward to offer (Y/n) her hand to shake.
Instead of grasping Leah’s hand, (Y/n) cupped it with her gloved hands, turning Leah’s hand palm up and placing the dandelions inside.
“Ah, thank you.” Leah chuckled, “These will make a great salad.”
(Y/n) nodded vigorously, then moved to make her exit. Leah wasn’t sure what possessed her, but she called out to (Y/n) before she could get too far.
“Wait, I um, it’s not much but I did take an intro to ASL course my freshman year of college so, I’m a bit limited but if you ever want to talk, you know...” Leah wished she could stop talking right now. Why had no one told her that the farmer was cute!? “So, yeah, you know,” Leah fumbled with her free hand, her fingers sat just underneath her chin before she sent them forward, “Thanks again.” She smiled nervously.
(Y/n) stared at her, dumbfounded. Then she released a short, sharp exhalation of air that was reminiscent of stuttered laughter and turned back to stand before Leah. (Y/n) made a timid approach and gingerly took Leah’s wrist, still hovering midair, and guided the hand back to rest on Leah’s chin, just below her lip. Leah stood still as stone as (Y/n) held it there for a second then extended the hand forward. She repeated the motion twice more before backing away and releasing Leah from her gloved grasp. The smell of earth and grass still clung to Leah’s nose even after (Y/n) had stepped back.
“Oh, I did it wrong, didn’t I?” Leah blushed, “Is there a big difference between the two?”
(Y/n) blew out a large breath of air and nodded. One of her gloved hands came up to cover the amused smile fighting against her lips.
“What did I say? Was is embarrassing? Yoba, I need to know,” Leah carefully set the dandelions at her feet and rummaged through her bag. Taking out her sketch pad and a pencil, she flipped to a clean page and presented the materials into the rough fabric of (Y/n)’s gloved hands, “Please, tell me.”
(Y/n) shot Leah a sympathetic smile, then she looked down at the paper and wrote quickly and concisely. She looked over her work, nodded to herself, then she handed the sketch book and pencil back to Leah before jogging of in the direction of her farm.
“Eh- Hey! Wait a minute!” Leah took a few strides after the farmer but quickly gave up, electing to look at the paper in her hand instead. “Maybe I’ll tell you some other time. Nice meeting you Leah, smiley face.” Leah read aloud to herself. She scoffed, but couldn’t stop the smile that had conquered her lips. She couldn’t wait to see (Y/n) again.
***
“Hey, Maru-“
“I think I have a feeling about what this is about, but just in case, please proceed.”
The next morning, Leah had made her way to the clinic to visit Maru and perhaps get the answers she was looking for. She had made the trek to (Y/n)’s farm first, but she wasn’t there. A little note hastily taped to the farmer’s door revealed that she was spending the day fishing in the mountains and wouldn’t be back until late at night.
“Maru, you know sign language like your mom, right?” Leah asked.
“Sure do. Seb and dad do too.” Maru nodded, leaning over the clinic counter. “But I’ve got to tell you that if you’re looking for the meaning of what you accidentally signed to (Y/n) last night, we were sworn to silence earlier this morning before (Y/n) went fishing. Sorry.” Maru smiled.
“Ugh,” Leah sighed, leaning her forehead against the counter. “Can I at least have a hint?”
“Well, it’s really funny. Especially considering how chill you normally are and your kind disposition.”
“Yoba, I really need to know!” Leah groaned against the counter.
“Well my family can’t tell you. You’ll just have to wait to hear it from (Y/n),” Maru grinned and pushed away from the counter, “I have to prepare for Evelyn’s check up now so I’ll see you around Leah.”
“Yeah, bye.” Leah grumbled, watching Maru disappear into the back offices. “Well, there goes that plan.” She mumbled under her breath as she left the clinic.
Leah spent the rest of the day sculpting in her cottage. She spent hours getting lost in the chipping of the wood before finally going to bed.
***
It had been days since Leah last saw (Y/n) and if the farming life wasn’t so demanding, Leah would have been worried that she had deeply offended the farmer to the point that she was purposely avoiding her. Leah decided not to waste the time she had been presented with.
She approached Robin about sign language lessons, enough to get some basic phrases and words. She practiced the motions herself, perfecting them to allow for no mistakes. Although she knew (Y/n) could hear her just fine, she found it easier to retain the lessons this way. Not to mention that it was just a useful language to know.
“I’ve hardly seen you around. I was worried you stabbed yourself with your woodworking tools.” Elliott said as Leah came up to sit next to him in the saloon.
“And you didn’t think to come to check on me?” Leah looked at the writer incredulously.
“Nope.”
Leah punched Elliott’s arm and he laughed. Before long, Emily came by with their food and they ate comfortably.
“Would you look at that.” Elliot spoke, pointing in direction of the door as he swallowed another bite.
Leah turned to look, purple irises sparkling at the sight of (Y/n) lugging a large bag up to the bar. She watched Emily talk (Y/n)’s ear off, the poor farmer smiled uncomfortably while trying to divide her attention between her and Gus who had apparently requested a variety of fish.
“Wow, Robin said you were in trouble but you really are,” Elliott chuckled behind his beer, “You really lit up just now.”
“I don’t know what you’re talking about.” Leah scoffed, still watching (Y/n) hand Gus fish after fish. It was almost comical how such an objectively small bag could hold so much.
“You can’t keep your eyes off her. I realize the dating pool in Stardew is small, but the girl just got here.”
“Elliott, stop!” Leah blushed, looking back down at her plate to stab at her salad.
“I’m just saying, you’re already taking sign language lessons for her you might want to dial it back a little bit. You wouldn’t want to come off as the obsessive type.”
“Oh! She’s leaving, should I offer to walk her home? I’m going to offer to walk her home.” Leah dug in her pocket and pulled out some gold, pushing it over to Elliott.
“What did I just say?” Elliott called after Leah, as she eagerly jogged to the exit to catch (Y/n) walking in the direction of the Cindersaps, perfect!
“(Y/n), good evening!” Leah called jogging up to the farmer only to have the farmer gasp and take several steps away from Leah, holding her hands out as a warning to not come any closer. “I’m sorry, I’m didn’t mean to make you uncomfortable!” Leah gasped, maybe Elliott was right.
(Y/n) shook her head, slowly taking a step back towards Leah, presenting her slightly soggy bag and waving her hand in front of her nose, scrunching her face as she did so.
Leah was sure the movement wasn’t an official ASL sign, but it did help get the point across and she giggled.
“What? Do you think you smell?”
Another nod and a look that seemed to say that she didn’t just think so, she knew so. She had been in the mines all morning and fishing at the beach all afternoon. She couldn’t wait to take a shower.
“It’s alright, I won’t judge you,” Leah smiled, “Are you heading home for the night? I’d be happy to walk with you since it’s so dark.”
(Y/n) took a moment to think about it before nodding shyly and motioning Leah closer. Leah happily obliged walking alongside the farmer into the Cindersap Forest. The walk was mostly silent, but that was to be expected nonetheless, Leah was having a great time. They had even found a couple of leeks along the way which (Y/n) had insisted Leah keep. All too soon, they reached the porch of the old farmhouse.
“You’re crops look great,” Leah complimented, looking for an excuse to stay even just a few minutes more, “really healthy. What all have you been growing? Are those potatoes and turnips?”
(Y/n) looked over her shoulder as she unlocked her door. Her eyes focused on where Leah was pointing and nodded affirmingly.
“Yeah, I’m no farmer but I love foraging. I’ve got a few really good books about wild foods and where to find them and when. It’s kind of like a scavenger hunt.” Leah grinned.
“Mhmm.”
It was quiet, a little strained, but the small hum of agreement almost sent Leah into cardiac arrest. She sounded so sweet! Leah’s cheeks were starting to hurt from how widely she was smiling.
“Well, I’ll leave you to it then. So, I’ll see you around?”
(Y/n) looked like she wanted to say something, but settled for a simple nod, fiddling with the gardening gloves she had taken off. Leah smiled softly, watching how the farmer intently eyed the fabric twisting in her hands.
“Feel free to drop by the cottage whenever it suits you. I’ll leave the door open!” Leah added, waving over her shoulder as she turned to walk away. (Y/n) beamed, looking a bit more lively as she waved back.
Leah turned her back on the house and walked back to her cottage in the Cindersaps with a skip in her step and a painfully large smile on her face. Although it was already late, she prepared a new block of wood for sculpting. Her new muse had granted her a vision for a grand project and had the potential to be one of her greatest works yet.
***
“Kel, I told you to stop calling me. I’m not coming back to the city, we are through.” Leah frowned, her hand gripped the phone receiver so tightly that she could hear the plastic giving slightly under the pressure.
She was so focused on combating Kel’s useless bargains that she hadn’t noticed the timid farmer show herself in, looking at Leah’s tense shoulders and back with concern. (Y/n) flinched as Leah cut off Kel to speak again, her voice low and stern.
“There is nothing you could say, nothing you could offer me, that would make me come back. Move on, and please, for the last time, do not call me again.” Leah slammed the phone down on its perch. Pressing her palms into her eyes she let out a frustrated groan, slowly positioning her hands to rub at her temples to combat the headache she felt coming on.
Then she heard the door creak.
Leah quickly turned around just in time to see (Y/n) looking back at her with wide eyes and lips pursed thin as if she had been caught witnessing an event she had no business seeing. Which was partially true, but Leah had told her a week beforehand that she could drop by anytime.
“(Y/n), what a pleasant surprise!” Leah grimaced, watching (Y/n) flinch and look down sheepishly at her feet. One had managed to retreat back out the door before being caught and it was slowly joined by the intruding foot, so (Y/n) was fully outside again. Leah shook her head and calmly approached the farmer.
“Please don’t leave, I’m the one who told you to come let yourself in whenever. I’m sorry you had to hear all of that.” Leah was worried, watching (Y/n) linger in the doorway. Her shoulders relaxed when (Y/n) cautiously came back inside and closed the door behind her.
(Y/n) stood in the entryway and looked over Leah, her eyes filled heavily with concern. She raised a hand, pointing to Leah before signing the letters ‘o’ and ‘k’.
“I’m okay. I’m just,” Leah fumbled for the right words, “mad, sad? Exhausted.”
(Y/n) made another gesture, shaping her fingers into a ‘hang loose’-esque sign. Her curled fingers meeting her chin. She lowered the hand momentarily to give it a controlled shake before bringing it back up into the starting position.
“What’s wrong?” Leah mumbled, making sure she understood. (Y/n) nodded. “I just got a phone call from someone I didn’t want to talk to is all,” Leah sighed, “They’re an ex of mine. The person who called.” Leah disclosed, rubbing the back of her neck, agitated.
(Y/n) signed again, but Leah didn’t quite catch it that time so she motioned (Y/n) over to her dining nook and sat her down with some paper and a pencil. The farmer seemed a bit unwilling to write it out, feeling like it was more insensitive somehow but with a little prodding from Leah, she gave in.
“Was it a bad break up...” Leah read aloud. She sat back in her chair and carefully chose her words. “Sometimes it feels like we’re still breaking up,” Leah chuckled wryly, “Kel, my ex, didn’t like me perusing art. They didn’t think I could make a living out of it and wanted me to waste away at some office job and well, I didn’t want that. They weren’t respectful or supportive of my dreams, so I left. They call me a lot though, to try to convince me to come back to the city... that I won’t make it as an artist. That I can’t be happy without them. It really is exhausting and the worst part is, I worry that they’re right.” Leah released a shuddering breath, “I haven’t sold a single piece. I don’t really even know how to start. I can sustain myself on what I have in my savings account for only so long.”
(Y/n) covered Leah’s hand with her own, squeezing it. Leah marveled at how soft it was in comparison to her own, especially since it was the hand of a farmer. Perhaps the gloves (Y/n) always wore had more practical uses rather than simply being worn for aesthetic’s sake. Leah chanced a look at (Y/n)’s face and was caught off guard by the determined fire blazing in her eyes. Then Leah’s attention was brought back to the table as (Y/n) furiously scratched the pencil against the paper and forcefully pushed her newly composed message in front of the sculptor, her other hand still rooted over Leah’s.
Leah read over the note and felt her heart ache with appreciative warmth. ‘You were brave enough to know what you wanted and even though it wasn’t easy, you went for it. That in itself is an amazing accomplishment that you should not take lightly. Your dream is not unfounded either, I’ve seen some of your sketches and paintings and I think you are very talented. Once you figure out how to put yourself out there you’ll have people begging you to take their money.’
Leah sniffed and smiled at (Y/n) appreciatively, turning her hand to reciprocate (Y/n)’s strong, yet gentle hold on her. “Thank you, (Y/n). I just wish I knew how to start.”
(Y/n) tapped her chin with the pencil as she thought. When she had an idea, she pulled the paper back to herself and wrote a suggestion.
“An art show? Oh, I don’t know (Y/n). It hardly seems possible.”
(Y/n) shook her head in disagreement and wrote more.
“You really think the town would want to help? Are you sure you want to help? You’ve got enough on your plate already with how busy the farm keeps you. I don’t want to impose.”
(Y/n) looked as if she had something to say, her throat bobbed and her lips twitched, but in the end she settled for the paper again, still too anxious to speak. After Leah had read the reply, she felt (Y/n)’s thumb rub against her knuckles and looked up. (Y/n) nodded, her expression serious. She wanted to help Leah with this.
“Thank you, (Y/n)!” Leah sniffled, holding back tears. She launched herself into (Y/n)’s arms and hugged the surprised farmer close. “Thank you so much!”
(Y/n) slowly returned the hug, smoothing one of her hands over Leah’s back in comforting motions. It was a bit of an awkward position with (Y/n) still sitting at the table and Leah hovering over her, but it felt nice.
“Sorry,” Leah chuckled after a moment, leaning back and wiping a stray tear from her eye, “I kind of caught you off guard with that didn’t I?”
(Y/n) shrugged and smiled good naturedly. A look came over her face as if she just remembered something and she stood up to grab her bag from the cottage entryway. She grinned when she found what she was looking for and made her way back to Leah, holding out a brown paper package to her.
“For me?” Leah asked. (Y/n) nodded and gestured for her to take it. Leah carefully unwrapped it and gasped. “(Y/n), is this goat cheese? I love this, how did you know?”
(Y/n) raised her hand, signing the letters ‘E’ ‘L’ ‘L’ ‘I’ ‘O’ ‘T’ ‘T’.
“Elliott hm?” Leah laughed, “I’m glad you two are getting along after the horseradish debacle.”
(Y/n) crossed her arms and stuck her nose up. She wasn’t looking back on the memory fondly.
“Hey, I’m with you on this one. He was being an ass. How could you have known he hated horseradish.”
(Y/n) nodded in agreement, one of her hands reaching out as if to say, ‘exactly’. She then noticed the time on Leah’s clock and signed that she had to go.
“I see.” Leah smiled sadly, trying not to let her disappointment shine through. “Good bye then, and (Y/n),” Leah signed ‘thank you’, very mindful of the position of her hands this time around, “seriously thank you for everything.”
(Y/n) beamed, giving Leah a thumbs up before heading out the door.
***
“I can’t believe I’m doing this.” Leah kept mumbling to herself while watching her fellow Pelican Townies set up her creations in the town square. There were already some tourists looking around and Leah felt her nerves fraying.
“Hang in there, kid. Everything looks great. Don’t worry so much.” Robin snuck up on Leah, making her jump. “It’s a beautiful summer day, don’t forget to enjoy it.”
“I’m trying, Robin. It’s just so much.” Leah said, nervously playing with her sleeve. Robin noticed Elliott walking up and motioned him to help deal with the artist while she went to help Demetrius move a heavy wooden sculpture.
“Come on now, Leah. Too late to back out now.” Elliott grinned, thumping her back. “(Y/n) seems especially excited by how things are progressing.”
Leah chanced a glance at (Y/n) and Maru putting up paintings between signing each other excitedly. The scene warmed her heart and her shoulders relaxed a bit.
“Yeah, okay. I’ll try.”
“Great, now let’s go woo some tourists.” Elliott said, wiggling his eyebrows.
“What? Elliott, no!” Leah shook her head.
“Not like that,” Elliott laughed, “I know your heart belongs to someone else. I just meant,” he looks around before whispering in Leah’s ear, “woo them out of their money.”
Leah laughed and pushed Elliott away. “Alright, you focus on the wooing and I’ll focus on explaining my thought processes.”
“That doesn’t sound as fun, but okay, this is your day.”
As Elliot and Leah made their way across the square, an unwelcome guest watched them from afar. Their blood boiled as they saw Leah pause at the makeshift painting gallery to give the farmer’s hand an affectionate squeeze.
***
“I can’t believe we sold so many!” Leah spoke in ecstatic disbelief as she waved at the last car she and (Y/n) had just loaded a heavy wooden sculpture into before it drove away. “This is crazy!”
(Y/n) wore a smile that matched Leah’s, happy to watch the sculptor bouncing in place. When Leah finally stilled, still giddy, she took both of (Y/n)’s hands in hers. Once again free of the gloves, the hands were pleasantly soft against her own and she relished in the feeling.
“(Y/n) I know it’s kind of late, but I have something I want to give to you. I left it at my house so I’m going to go get it. I’ll meet you at the farm, is that alright?”
(Y/n) stared at Leah, her curiosity piqued. She nodded, easily giving Leah the answer she was hoping for.
“Great! I’ll be there soon!” With one last squeeze of the farmer’s hands, she was off. (Y/n) heard the crack of a twig, but when she turned to investigate, nothing stood out so she made her way back to her farm to wait for Leah.
When Leah came up to the porch, (Y/n) had to do a double take at the big wooden statue she was lugging along. With one last huff of air, Leah placed the statue at the base of the steps and grinned up at (Y/n), wiping a bit of sweat from her brow.
“Thanks for waiting. It was a little more ah, heavy, than I expected.” Leah laughed sheepishly. “Come take a look.”
(Y/n) stepped off the porch and circled the piece, taking in every detail. Leah felt nervous butterflies fluttering in her stomach while she watched the farmer scrutinize the work and cleared her throat.
“I started working on it in the spring. I also incorporated some of that driftwood you gave me a few weeks ago. Anyway, I made it with you in mind. It’s called, ‘How I Feel about (Y/n)’ and I’d be honored if you would accept it as a gift for everything you’ve done for me.” Leah stared at her feet as she spoke, too embarrassed to keep her eyes on (Y/n) while she spoke. Then a pair of boots joined, hands came up to clasp her own, pulling the conjoined grasp into her line of vision and coaxing her to look up into (Y/n)’s eyes.
“It’s wonderful.”
At that moment, Leah thought her heart must have been beating so hard that it was affecting her hearing.
“Hh... huh?” Leah asked, rather dumbly.
(Y/n) swallowed thickly, took a deep breath, and whispered, “It’s wonderful, Leah. Thank you.”
Leah looked absolutely awestruck, purple irises shone with excitement and she laughed, pulling (Y/n) into a tight embrace.
“I’m glad you like it.” Leah sniffled, resting her face in (Y/n)’s shoulder.
“Leah?” (Y/n) wrapped her arms around the artist, it was only one word, her name, but Leah heard the concern in the farmer’s tone.
“I’m okay. I’m just happy,” Leah sniffled again, “I’m happy you felt comfortable enough with me to speak to me.”
“Me too.” (Y/n) whispered, holding Leah tighter.
The pair found it difficult when they had to part ways for the night, but they were equally excited over how their relationship was developing, looking forward to spending more time together over the summer.
***
“Come on, just a little further...” Leah coached herself. She was reaching for a piece of fruit hanging from a branch just out of her reach.
She had planned a picnic with (Y/n) for this afternoon. She had already set up under the big old tree near the pond and as she waited for (Y/n) to finish up with her crops and animals for the morning, when she spotted the unusual fruit. Now she was jumping and stretching for the fruit just out of reach.
“Almost— Ah!” Leah struggled to balance herself in the air, swiveling her head to peak over her shoulder, she saw (Y/n) looking up at her with a mischievous grin. Leah rolled her eyes, a smile tugging at the side of her lips. She turned back to the task at hand and grabbed the fruit, motioning (Y/n) to put her back down.
“Show off.” Leah scoffed, lightly punching (Y/n)’s shoulder. “You wanna try a bite?”
“Yes, please.” (Y/n)’s cheeks heated when Leah pressed the fruit to her lips. She took a bite of the offering, savoring the taste. “It’s so sweet.” She said, amazed.
“Right?” Leah smiled, “It’s rare to get fruit from this tree. Usually all the animals snap it all up as soon as they’re ripe, but it seems they miss some from time to time. How is everything with the farm this morning?”
“All is well,” (Y/n) nodded as the pair made themselves comfortable on the blanket Leah had set up, “I would have been here sooner but the goats kept standing in front of my cheese and mayo machines, the chicken coup too. Made it a little difficult.” (Y/n) disclosed. “Which reminds me,” she rummaged through her bag, “goat cheese salads.”
“Mmm, this looks heavenly. Thank you for making these.” Leah said, eagerly stirring in some vinaigrette into the generous fresh salad.
“No problem. Selling my harvest is nice, but it feels so much more rewarding enjoying it like this.” (Y/n) informed, mixing her own salad.
“I can imagine,” Leah hummed and leaned her back fully against the trunk of the tree, “Ah, it’s such a lovely day for this.”
“Mhmm.”
They ate the rest of their meal in peaceful silence, listening to the birds sing and the fish leap, the breeze rustling the trees and grass around them. It was tranquil, it was perfect.
“Hey, Leah,” (Y/n) spoke, breaking the silence.
“Yes?” Leah asked, turning her gaze away from the sketch pad she had brought out.
“It’s almost Fall you know, we’ve known each other for nearly two whole seasons. Half a year, it’s crazy, right?”
“Yeah, it doesn’t seem like it’s been that long, doesn’t it?” Leah giggled, “What made you think of that?”
“Well, I wanted to ask you something. Don’t feel like you have to answer one way or the other, but...” (Y/n) paused, trying to gather her thoughts.
“Hey, it’s okay (Y/n). You can tell me anything. Sign it out if you want to.”
“No, it’s okay. I’m just nervous,” (Y/n) turned to her bag and pulled out a lovely bouquet of flowers, “Leah, would you maybe consider being my girlfriend?“
“Yes!” Leah enveloped (Y/n) in a tackle like hug that sent them both to fully meet the ground, accidentally crushing the flowers between their bodies, “Oops, sorry,” Leah wiggled the flowers out from under her to look at them more closely, “these are lovely, (Y/n). I didn’t know Pierre had these in yet.”
“He didn’t, I planted them.” (Y/n) clarified, smiling up at Leah who still hovered over her, giggling.
“Of course you did, you’re so sweet.”
“I try.”
“Are you kidding me!”
Leah and (Y/n) quickly turned to face the disturbance, scrambling to sit up from their compromising position. Leah felt her stomach twist with discomfort seeing Kel of all people marching up to them, absolutely fuming.
“Seriously, what the hell, Leah?” Kel yelled, their hands clenched into tight fists as they closed in, making yard after yard disappear between them.
“No, more like what the hell, Kel? I broke up with you seasons ago. What are you even doing in Pelican Town?” Leah retorted angrily, as (Y/n) helped her to her feet. Kel watched the motion and ground their teeth.
They were already dangerously close to crossing the threshold of the blanket and that small display was enough to send them stomping over the edge.
“I came for you, obviously! I’ve been slumming it in that dusty old saloon since your art show, waiting to talk to you! Now I find you sucking face with some country bumpkin nobody!” They seethed, stepping even closer into Leah’s personal space until (Y/n) pulled Leah back behind her, making Kel even more incensed. “You stay out of this. I’m talking to Leah!”
(Y/n) held strong, stuck between the harsh obscenities attacking her from the front and the loving affirmations defending her from behind. She held her arm out, willing Kel to stay back as she slowly started to guide Leah back in the direction of town for help. Kel ignored the warning and followed after them.
“Don’t you have anything to say for yourself? You think you’re being some kind of hero right now?” Kel seethed.
(Y/n) stayed silent, she had gone mute again and who would blame her in the face of such a tense situation? She was so very uncomfortable, scared even, but she continued on passed Marnie’s since she knew the woman wasn’t home at this time and she sure wasn’t going to expose Jas to this. Jodi’s house was their next best bet.
“Hey, you obviously want to start something here. You’ve got something to say to me?” Kel continued forward.
“Kel, leave us alone!” Leah commanded, “It’s over, it’s been over, go home!”
“You think you’re too good to talk to me?” Kel yelled, ignoring Leah. “She’s just a whore. She just latched onto the first warm body she could find after her little meltdown. You’re not special.”
(Y/n) froze stiffly in place, Leah felt the muscles on her shoulders tense so she tried to pull on her arm to keep her moving.
“Ignore them, (Y/n). Let’s focus on getting to town, okay?” Leah pleaded. But (Y/n) gently pushed off Leah’s hands and took a step towards Kel with a cold glare. Leah stepped to stand beside (Y/n)’s side, nervous that a more serious confrontation was about to unfold.
“Well?” Kel spat.
(Y/n) crossed her arms, turning her head to look at Leah. The look on her face was all the communication Leah needed to understand. It was definitely a, ‘they better back off or I’m going to knock them off their block’ face. Leah had never known (Y/n) to be particularly violent, but with all the time she spent in the mines, she had no doubt that she could take care of herself.
Leah gasped when Kel suddenly roared, lunging forward. Apparently they had not liked how (Y/n) and Leah had been paying attention to each other rather than themself. Kel had rocketed forward and aimed to punch (Y/n) hard over her cheek, however, at the last moment, Leah pushed her aside and took the blow for her.
(Y/n) inhaled sharply and caught Leah as she stumbled back, noticing how blood immediately began gushing from Leah’s now broken nose.
“Ow- AH!” Leah cried, her hands muffled her voice since she had covered her nose and mouth.
It only took a second for (Y/n) to return the favor to Kel’s stunned face. She punched them fast and hard over their cheek, but Kel was quick to fight back and now it was a full out brawl.
“What’s going on, we heard yelling— holy shit!”
Leah turned away from the fight to see Sam, Seb, and Abigail running up on the scene.
“(Y/n)’s throwing hands!” Abigail yelled, sounding way more excited than worried.
“Leah are you okay? What’s going on?” Sebastian asked, noting the concerning amount of blood running down Leah’s arms and the front of her shirt.
“Don’t worry about me, stop them!” Leah winced, taking one hand away from her face to motion to her ex and her new girlfriend still going at each other.
“Damn, Abi! Go get your dad and Harvey too by the looks of it!” Sam yelled, he seemed to be looking for an opening to push the fighters apart.
“Are you kidding? You get my dad, I’m getting in on this!” Abigail cheered and ran up to jump on Kel’s back like she was at a rodeo while (Y/n) landed a good hit on Kel’s stomach. “Nice punch, (Y/n)!”
“Oh Yoba, Sam, start running.” Seb suggested, trying to help Leah with her nose. He was no Maru, but even he knew how to set a broken nose. Especially within the first couple weeks of Sam taking up skateboarding.
“Right!” Sam ran off back into town screaming. A few tense minutes later and Pierre, Caroline, Robin, Elliott, Maru and Harvey came running behind Sam to break up the fight.
“Abigail, stop!” Pierre huffed, pulling off his daughter and passing her off to his wife, “I taught you what I did to defend yourself, not to lash out like a wild animal!” He grunted, pulling Kel into his grasp and trapping their arms behind their back with Elliott coming up to assist.
“Come on dad, I was helping a friend! What’s the big deal?” Abi groaned, while her mom fretted over her, looking for injuries.
“Easy there kid, it’s over.” Robin coaxed (Y/n), pulling her back. The farmer slumped over in the carpenter’s hold, breathing heavily.
“Is (Y/n) okay? Ah!” Leah hissed as Harvey touched up her nose, giving her a nasal spray before wedging a couple wads of tissue up her nostrils.
“Sorry, Leah.” Harvey sympathized, “Maru is going to check up on her now.”
“What about me?” Kel hissed. Pierre had them resting on their knees. They looked really roughed up. A black eye was already forming and scratches and bruises littered their skin, they were also holding their stomach rather tightly.
“You’ll just have to wait a minute.” Elliott frowned, staring down at the stranger with contempt.
“Don’t you have any police officers in this backwater town? I’ll sue every one of you for withholding care to someone who is obviously hurt!” Kel threatened, grinding their teeth.
“Oh, the police are coming alright!”  Caroline spoke indignantly. “You are in no position to be asking for anything right now, bringing violence to our community, you should be ashamed!”
“(Y/n) can you look up for me, please.” Maru asked, carefully tilting (Y/n)’s chin up. (Y/n) sucked in a breath when Maru touched her bruised jaw a tad to hard. “Sorry, Your jaw is bruised pretty badly. Your bottom lip split too. How is your vision?”
(Y/n) shook her head and winced, cradling her head in her hands.
“Okay, possible concussion. We’ll need to observe her at the clinic.” Maru said.
“Alright, come on bruiser,” Robin grunted, heaving (Y/n) to her feet, “Sebbie, help me walk her into town please.”
“Sure mom.” Seb took (Y/n)’s other side.
(Y/n) patted Robin’s arm, motioning her to wait. She slowly turned to Kel and leaned more heavily against Seb as she freed her other arm from Robin to snap her fingers aggressively, looking for Kel’s attention. Once Kel looked up at her, sneering from their spot in the dirt, (Y/n) turned briefly to make sure Leah was watching. When she saw that she was, she smiled as if to say, ‘watch this,’ and turned back to Kel. (Y/n) brought her flat, angled hand below her chin and sent it forward in the direction of Kel’s confused, but no less, pissed face.
“Oh ho! (Y/n) is such a badass!” Abigail laughed.
“Abi, since when do you know sign language?” Sam asked, clearly confused.
“I don’t, but I’ve spent enough time searching curses in different languages to know that was totally a ‘fuck you’. Personally I think a middle finger approach would have been an appropriate classic myself but whatever.” Abigail shrugged.
“Abigail, language!” Caroline scolded.
“Sorry mom.”
“Alright, you’ve had your fun. Clinic, now.” Robin tried to hold in a laugh as she repositioned (Y/n)’s arm over her shoulder. Then she and Seb began walking (Y/n) back into town.
Leah made to follow, but as they were leaving, the police from the the next town over had arrived and they needed her statements as a witness. Never mind that she was covered in her own blood and her girlfriend was being dragged away to the clinic with a concussion. Once the officers were satisfied, they took Kel away with promises to be back for (Y/n)’s statement and to see if any charges would be made. For now they were just going to take Kel back to a hospital in Zuzu City since they may have broken a rib or two in the fight. After that, they were going to be free to go.
Leah wasn’t too worried. She didn’t think Kel would come back after the beating (Y/n) and Abigail gave them. She watched the police car drive out of Cindersaps, taking her disgruntled ex away.
“Leah, I’m sure you want to get to the clinic but you should really clean up first.” Caroline had said patting the younger woman’s back. “(Y/n) will be fine.”
“Yeah, Harvey and Maru got her. Take some time to process.” Elliott smiled.
Leah could only nod tiredly. She trudged over to her cottage to shower and change. She still couldn’t believe how quickly things got out of hand. She looked at her bandaged nose in the mirror, hissing when she gingerly touched the bridge of it. She was wary of Seb setting it himself, but Harvey said he had gone a great job. Once she was physically put back together, Leah quickly made her way to the clinic.
“Where is she?” She asked immediately upon arriving. She sounded a little congested thanks to her clogged nose, but she was easily understood. Robin was still in the waiting room and filled her in.
“Harvey and Maru are talking her through concussion care. She’s okay, but I don’t think she’ll be allowed to work for awhile.”
“Oh no,” Leah sat down, resting her elbows on her knees and covered her eyes with her hands, “This is all my fault.”
“Aw, don’t say that sweetheart. You know that’s not true.” Robin frowned, taking a seat beside her, “(Y/n) would hate to hear you think like that.”
“(Y/n) loves her farm! If she can’t maintain the upkeep...” Leah continued, teary eyed, only to be silenced by Robin.
“I’m going to stop you right there. Nothing is going to happen to the farm. Abi, Sam, and even Seb already told (Y/n) in no uncertain terms that they were going to pitch in while she recovers. Everything is going to be taken care of.” Robin assured.
“Still none of this would have happened if-“
“If you hadn’t broken up with your ex? Moved to Pelican Town? Got a crush? Leah, you can’t punish yourself for moving on with your life. You’re allowed to be happy.” Robin chided gently. “It was hard for me and Sebastian’s father to see eye to eye at the best of times. Now I have Demetrius and although he can be a bit annoying sometimes with his tomato bullshit, not a day goes by that I’m not grateful I took that first step because I love him.” Robin smiled.
Leah’s nose hurt like hell as she tried to carefully wipe the tears from her eyes and Robin rubbed her back affectionately. Once Leah had calmed down, Robin stood and stretched.
“She’s been wondering where you are. The doc is keeping her for overnight observation, but your welcome to stay with her. I on the other hand, am apparently too old for this much excitement and need to go home.”
“Thank you Robin, for talking to me.”
“Anytime,” Robin grinned, “now go get her.”
Leah made her way into the back area of the clinic and nearly ran up to Harvey, Maru, and (Y/n). (Y/n) was signing to Maru while she relayed the information to Harvey as he examined (Y/n)’s well being.
(Y/n) was relieved to see Leah and eagerly motioned her to come sit on the edge of the bed she was sitting in which Leah did happily.
“Leah, how’s the nose?” Harvey asked while he finished up (Y/n)’s chart.
“It’s fine. Just, really sore and tingly.”
“So not fine.” Maru chuckled. “I’ll get you some pain meds.”
“Ah, thanks Maru.” Leah smiled sheepishly.
“Well, Ms. (Y/n),” Harvey sighed, turning his attention back to the farmer, “you and I are in for a long night. I’ll be waking you up every hour to check your pupils to see if your condition changes at all.” Harvey stood and stretched, “Ms. Leah, feel welcome to stay as long as you like. It can’t hurt to keep an extra pair of eyes on her.”
“I could stay overtime, Harvey.” Maru said as she came back with two pills and a glass of water for Leah.
“I seem to recall you talking about a time sensitive experiment this morning.” Harvey recalled, making Maru smack the side of her head. “You’re right! I got to go now! Good night everyone!” Maru called behind her as she rushed out to the waiting room then out of the building.
“I’m going to take the first of my many naps lined up for tonight. I’ll see you ladies in about an hour. Try to get some rest.” Harvey said before leaving to walk up the stairs to his apartment.
Finally Leah and (Y/n) were alone again. (Y/n) sunk down into the covers and sighed deeply. She turned to face Leah, concerning the sculptor by how small she looked.
“You’re not too upset with me, are you?” (Y/n) asked, surprising Leah.
“I’m not upset with you. Why would I be upset with you?”
“I just beat the crap out a person. Sure they are your ex, but you cared about them at some point so it must have been hard to watch. I can’t imagine what you must think of me now.” (Y/n) whispered, she was so quiet Leah had to lean closer and even then she was straining to hear.
“(Y/n), I like you. Nothing that happened today changed how much I like you. It certainly didn’t make me like you any less,” Leah rested her hand over (Y/n)’s cheek, “Kel made their choice when they decided to come to Pelican Town and confront us. I wish it hadn’t gone down the way it did, but that’s not our fault. I’m just glad you’re okay.”
“I’m glad you’re okay too. I was worried.”
“I wish we could start this day all over,” Leah moaned, “First day as official girlfriends and we get into a fist fight.”
(Y/n) laughed lightly, closing her eyes to combat the pain that came from her jostling. “Abigail thought it was a pretty great date activity.”
“She would think that.” Leah rolled her eyes, “she also eats rocks.”
“Well, think about it this way. Until I’m allowed to take up all my farming duties again, you can do whatever you want with me.”
“Whatever I want, hmm?” Leah tapped her lips with her index finger, “would it be to forward if me to ask for a kiss?”
“You may, just be careful with my split lip. I won’t be able to explain what happened to Harvey if you make it worse.” (Y/n) said.
“One gentle kiss, coming right up.” Leah wiggled on the bed’s stiff hospital sheets until she laid face to face with (Y/n). Their lips met in a soft brushing that was almost ghost like, but rather than leaving them with a chill, warmth bloomed between them.
“Wow.” (Y/n) grinned.
“If you thought that was good, wait until I can get more involved with it.”
“So confident. I like it.” (Y/n) squinted, “could you turn the light off? It’s really starting to hurt my eyes.”
“Of course.” Leah got up and switched off the half the lights to keep their side of the room in darkness but allow Harvey to still be able to see when he came back.
“Now come cuddle, please.” (Y/n) asked sleepily reaching her arms out.
“Nothing would make me happier.”
Leah kicked off her boots and shimmied under the sheets to join (Y/n) and wrapped her arms around her. Leah let the exhaustion of the day roll over her and she had nearly let sleep claim her before her eyes shot open and she propped herself up on her elbow to lean over (Y/n).
“Did I really sign a ‘fuck you’ when we first met?!” She asked, appalled.
(Y/n)’s response was to laugh sleepily into Leah’s chest.

Hello! I just discovered your page but I already love 🥺 for my ask, what do you think the bachelor(ettes) were like in their childhood and home life?
Hi !! Thanks for the ask :)) this is a bit of a long post sorry !!
My take on bachelor(ettes) as kiddos!
Alex
Alex was the definition of ADHD when he was a child. Always bouncing all over the place, hands always fidgeting with something or tossing a ball around with his dog at the time. He made the best out of the situation with his dad and tried to be there for his mom as much as possible, even when she was sick. He was a very sweet kid, the one that people would compliment for his good behavior. Unfortunately he didn’t get the best grades, but some tutoring from Penny helped him out greatly.
Elliott
I think Elliott grew up poor, with both of his parents working constantly. He had a few siblings that took care of him, but none of them harbored the same creative energy as he did. As he grew up, he tried to get them to enjoy things like reading or writing as much as him, but they never clicked. Elliott felt very alone growing up, which only continued into adulthood, until he moved to the valley.
Harvey
Harvey was such a nerd!!! And he still is!! If he weren’t such a Big Boy as a child (I swear he was like, 5’8 but the time he was 12) he would’ve been bullied a lot more. Harvey was incredibly smart and won all sorts of awards for it in school. He was very close to his parents, especially his dad. He had a few friends in school, mostly the other nerds. Harvey was reluctant to move away from home, but knew he had to so he could become a successful doctor.
Sam
Sam was just like Vincent when he was a kid. He was hyper and didn’t pay very close attention in school, but was insanely creative. The only difference was that Kent was still there. After Jodi had Vincent, it lead to her arguing with Kent and trying to get him to stay home. Sam spent a lot of time with the kid, keeping him distracted from the fighting. After his dad left, Sam was angry and distant for a while before he learned to accept it. He wanted to be happy for his little brother and show him that he can still be happy, even though their dad isn’t here.
Seb
Sebastian used to be rather extroverted as a kid, believe it or not. He and his parents lived in the city, in an apartment with a great view. His happy life fell apart when he was six. His parents went through a nasty divorce for reasons he was never sure of. He begged his mom to stay with his dad, but she moved them away to the valley with her new boyfriend. Seb hated Demetrius, but Robin stayed with him. They eventually got married and had a kid together. Seb became very withdrawn from everyone, until he met Sam. He misses his dad terribly, still not knowing why they separated since Robin refuses to talk about it. As for Maru, he never tried to get along with her, seeing as she was living proof that his dad doesn’t want to be with him anymore.
Shane
Shane had a not-so-great childhood. He was always quiet, never opening his mouth unless it was necessary. Somehow, he still got into trouble a lot, though it was always stupid reasons. His parents were divorced so he bounced back and forth between their houses, but they both moved constantly, like they were trying to get further and further away from each other. Shane eventually started to stay with his mother full time, since he preferred her over his dad. He moved away as soon as possible, living with two of his friends, the parents of Jas. He was still quiet, but now he was bitter and found it difficult to trust people.
Abby
Abigail was definitely a teacher’s pet in school. She was very well behaved and was always the top of her class. At home, she was very close to both of her parents, something that changed as she grew up. She started to become more rebellious once she realized how ridiculous her parent’s rules were, especially Pierre’s. Abigail dyed her hair purple without their permission to show that she was her own person now. Sam and Sebastian definitely encouraged it, egging her on to do more than just dyeing it.
Emily
Emily was a very outgoing person as a kid. She still is now, but you know what I mean. She was a bookworm and was so social, always involving everyone at school.l, even the introverted kids. Emily and Haley stayed with an their grandmother while their parents traveled halfway across the country. They visited every few months, but they were practically raised by their grandmother. She tried to involve Haley in her creative activities, but the only thing she picked up was photography, the only thing that Emily was bad at. So it worked out!
Haley
In her younger days, Haley was quiet, rarely saying a word to anyone that wasn’t family. She trailed behind Emily and followed her like a lost puppy at school. She didn’t have any friends for years, finding it hard to interact with others. Haley didn’t think there was anything she was good at, so it was hard to make friends. The first person she was ever friends with that wasn’t family was Alex, who brought her out of her shell. She became more extroverted and picked up more hobbies, like photography, something Emily taught her about.
Leah
Leah and her family are from the city, in one of the most urban areas. She never really liked where they live. Everyone in the city was loud and rude, but her parents didn’t seem to care very much. Ever since she was a kid, she’s wanted to move away, take a break from the city life. As for her performance in school, Leah did her best, but she struggled with classes like math and science. She did average, but that was fine with her.
Maru
As a child, Maru constantly tried to get closer to her brother. She thought the world of him, but he hated her. Her mother always said he would come around eventually, but he never did. Eventually, Maru stopped trying and focused on her studies. She excelled in everything. She was the top of her classes and liked to volunteer at the library sometimes. Sebastian avoided her in school and got mad whenever she tried to talk to him or his few friends. Still, she tried to ignore it, focusing on herself and the family members that wanted to see her.
Penny
Penny’s parents were close at some point. When Pam wasn’t drunk, she was fun to be around. Her father was a brilliant man, teaching her everything he knows about the world and filling her with curiosity. As Pam’s alcoholism got worse, Penny’s father left. Penny reclused further, relying on books to warrant off any feelings of sadness. Her first friend in the valley was Maru. The two of them bonded over feeling lonely. They became friends during their middle school years and have been besties since!

If you’re still open for asks, 20 and 27? 👀
YESSS i am ty nohra!! you picked the one question i knew was gonna be increasingly long so i put it under a read more. tbh i wanted to be mysterious about kiki lore and use my comics to reveal bits about her but i’ve been lethargic and won’t be able to do it soon enough so i’ll just start posting it through asks like these
20. Are they a completionist or do they go through life more casually?  answered!
27. What’s their tragic 8-heart or 10-heart backstory event?  kiki’s 8 heart event would be sooo obscenely long so it’s kinda like how sam (i think i can’t remember that clearly) and shane’s heart events span over several days instead of just a single event. i think one of elliott’s 14 heart events does that too? anyway i never thought of this being a 10-heart backstory event but i feel like it fits now wtf
day 1: i’m going to try to summarize it because i know it’s annoyingly long but kiki has been labelled a missing person in zuzu city after she disappeared without telling anyone. she’s not supposed to be found, so she alludes to it a few times, gets a few phone calls that make her visibly nervous, etc., in earlier events until one day you’re hanging out with her and her mom is on her doorstep. she ends up arguing with her mom, who she can’t really say no to, until her mom drags her back to zuzu city asap. you also learn she APPARENTLY has a fiance and this whole other life to get back to and it was rude to abandon him 😬and since this would be a fitting 10 heart event, the interactive part would give you the options of stuff like “don’t leave” or literally just “bye” since you’re dating by 10 hearts and you might be mad figuring out your partner has a fiance (even if you don’t know the full story) without telling you. either way she leaves
day 2: not the actual day right after day 1. 1 week should pass and you don’t hear from her until haley approaches you and yells at you to fix it because you should’ve done more and kiki won’t answer her texts anymore. if you say no instead of yes, haley gets mad and tells you kiki ghosted her fiance on purpose because she hated him but her mom is convinced they’re still engaged. so you end up having to go to her mom’s house and deal with the whole situation again. i feel like this would be pretty similar to the whole encounter with leah and kel where you punch kel but even in that event i wish leah had punched kel IDK?? you have to interact with the fiance and the mom the same way too. and then i think in the end you should be given a few options of what to say to convince her to come back (like what you do with shane in his 6 heart event, some options sounded good and some sounded not good idk why you would say some of the options to him)
OK BUT ANYWAY regardless of what you say it should convince her to have some courage and stand up to her mom and fiance. you don’t punch anyone, she doesn’t punch anyone (i kinda wish she could punch her fiance but i have to hear what other people think), but she does handle the situation herself because it’s not something someone else should do for her. kiki tells her mom she’s tired of being manipulated by her, she tells her fiance she hates his guts, and leaves with you. then you can be all cutesy romantic or whatever at the end because it’s 10 heart event and go home ^^
i kinda wanna write about cleo’s too but i only will if anyone asks because i’m embarrassed and don’t wanna overspill when no one asks :x

Honey & Vinegar: Chapter 9
Pip met everyone else in the valley that night at the saloon. It was overwhelming, to say the least, as Leah brought them around from table to table, but Pip was grateful for Leah’s outgoing personality. It seemed she was generally well liked in the valley. And it didn’t take much for Pip to observe some of the other relationships within the town. And what they didn’t observe there in the saloon, Leah was happy enough to explain to them.
Pip met Willy the fisherman who resided on the beach, learning that Elliott, too, lived on the beach. They found Marnie sitting with Lewis, and Jodi and Caroline, who Pip learned was Abigail’s mother. They met Pam, Penny’s mother, at the bar, and Pierre, along with Robin’s husband, Demitrius. Clint the blacksmith sat at a table with Gunther, and to no surprise of Pip’s, Shane was sitting alone in a corner. And, of course, there was Gus, the owner of the saloon, and Emily, who Pip learned had a sister, Haley. And just as it seemed they were finishing with the introductions, Sam, Sebastian, and Abigail walked in, skipping the bar entirely and making their way into the other room where Pip learned that they often gathered to hang out and play pool when they weren't “making a racket in Sam’s room,” according to Jodi.
“They’re in a band,” she said, rolling her eyes. “Though, they’ve changed their band name more times than I can count, and they can’t seem to stick to one genre of music.”
For a brief moment, the elderly woman Pip had seen a few days prior arrived at the saloon, and Pip learned of her and her husband and their grandson, Alex, “the boy who’s always throwing that football around,” as the woman explained. When the introductions were all said and done, Pip found themselves sitting with Leah and Elliott once more. It had been some time since Leah had had a drink, too busy interacting with the other villagers, and she had mellowed out some as a result. Still, it was clear that she and Elliott were close friends, and they laughed loudly as they joked with one another.
“Pip says they’re gonna try their hand at making some alcohol,” Leah said. She turned to Pip. “You promised me wine, remember?”
Pip nodded. “I did,” they said. “And I intend to keep that promise.”
Leah grinned. “Good! I love a good wine night.”
“Seems like everyone here enjoys their alcohol,” Pip said.
Leah grew quiet.
“Not much else to do around here,” Elliott said.
“Some of us indulge too much,” Leah said. She glanced over at Pam at the bar, who was now heavily intoxicated. Gus had a clear look of annoyance on his face, but he treated Pam kindly, offering her assistance and quietly suggesting it was time for her to head home.
“We don’t need to get into that,” Elliott muttered. He turned to Pip. “Pam has been through some hard times, especially after she lost her job. She used to drive the bus in and out of the valley. But it broke down over the winter, and we just haven’t had the funds to get it fixed up. We used to get a lot of tourists around in the summer. We still do from time to time, but the bus brought in a lot more in its hay day.”
“That’s too bad,” Pip said. They turned back to the bar, watching as Shane made his way to Pam, offering his assistance and guiding her out into the night. This gesture came as a genuine surprise to Pip, further confirming that he wasn’t as much of a grump as they first thought.
“What’s his deal, anyway?” Pip asked curiously. “Got a thing against fairies or something?”
Again, Leah fell quiet. Her gaze lingered on the door for a moment before she turned back to Pip.
“I don’t know too much about Shane,” she admitted. “He hasn’t been here for very long. I think he moved here to be with Jas after her parents died. He’s her Godfather.”
“Oh.”
“I heard from Marnie that he was very close with her parents.”
Pip frowned. “Oh.”
Leah shrugged. “He’s got a bit of a drinking problem, too.”
Pip mulled over the conversation they had had with Jas when they first met. “Aunt Marnie says it’s just because he’s sad a lot. Can you make him happy with your magic?”
“Not that I’m one for gossip,” Elliott started, and Leah slapped his arm playfully.
“Oh, please,” she said. “You are so one for gossip!”
Elliott chose to ignore her, grinning. “Marnie and Lewis spend a lot of time together, though,” he said, wiggling his eyebrows.
Leah giggled and ‘oohed’ playfully. “Well, at least someone’s getting laid around here.”
“You could get laid,” Elliott said.
Leah scoffed. “I could,” she said. “But all you guys want something serious and long term, and I’m so not about that life right now.”
Elliott grinned and rolled his eyes, then turned to Pip. “She’s a hippie painter,” he said. “Would rather be in the middle of the woods painting naked people.”
“What about you, Shakespere? I swear, sometimes you spend a whole week cooped up in that shack of yours, and when you come out, it looks like you just did a hundred lines of coke!”
“I’m a writer,” he said snidely. “I can’t help that I live off of coffee and noodles and sometimes lose track of time!”
“It’s no wonder you don’t have any solid relationships,” Leah said.
“You said so yourself,” he reminded her. “Us artists don’t have time to get tied down.”
Leah giggled. “What about you?” she asked, turning to Pip. “Any love interests in your life?”
Pip hesitated. “Fairies don’t generally get tied down with such nonsense.”
“I’ll drink to that,” Elliott said, raising his glass, and their bottles clinked together.
“Nothing wrong with it, though,” Leah said with a shrug. “Maybe there’s someone out there for us.”
“But what’s the sense in fretting over it?” Elliott asked.
“Touche.”
The saloon had started to empty out by now, and Gus and Emily were soon cleaning the counters, preparing to close for the night. Emily playfully tossed a rag at them, and Elliott yawned.
“Guess that’s our cue,” he said as he got up and stretched. He cleared their table, bringing their empty bottles and glasses to Emily with a cheerful smile.
The three of them left the saloon together, and in the town square, they bid each other goodnight before heading in their separate directions toward their homes. A dark figure, however, caught Pip’s attention, and they turned as Shane made his way across the square. He paused and turned to Pip.
“Hear any good gossip tonight?” he asked.
Pip hesitated. “Should I have?”
“I know how Leah and Elliott get when they get together and have a few.”
“They mostly talked about getting laid,” Pip said frankly. “I’ll never understand you humans and your constant need for physical affection.”
Shane snorted, then hiccuped. “You fairies are weird,” he said.
“At least we can hold our alcohol.”
Shane frowned, and Pip grinned. By some miracle, it seemed they had found a way to communicate with Shane. All it took was a little friendly smack-talk and heavy sarcasm.
“Alright,” Shane said. “Next time, we’ll see who can drink more.”
This time, it was Pip who frowned, and Shane who grinned eagerily.
“Wassa matter? Afraid I’ll show you up?”
No, it wasn’t that at all. But Pip couldn’t admit to Shane that they simply did not want to add to their clear addiction.
“Yeah,” Pip muttered. “I believe ya.”
Shane clearly wasn’t happy that Pip had given up so easily, but Pip didn’t dare push the matter further. It was becoming clear to them that the people in the valley had their secrets and their troubles. If it were anyone else, they likely wouldn’t have paid any mind to it. Pip, however, couldn’t help but to wonder if the trouble with Imps and the worries of Rasmodius were all connected to the troubled pasts and silent despairs the residents of Pelican Town clearly endured. There was a lot of tension in the valley. The strain of JoJa Mart, for one, clearly took a toll on the residents, torn between wanting to keep their quaint valley alive and keeping the big corporations out. It seemed the valley also provided a safe haven for those with darkness in their lives. The more trouble and stress that came over the valley, the stronger the chance for Imps.
It was a cycle that, if not broken soon, would destroy the valley completely and end life as they knew it.

Fandom: Stardew Valley Pairing: Farmer OC x Elliott Character(s): Farmer Jam (OC), Elliott, Leah, Sam, Vincent Rating: SFW Word count: 1,188
A/N: @dawnryze October Farming game prompt. Day 6: Frist Husband
Jam has been living in the valley for a year now after running away from a troubled home and depressing work life that was just tearing them to pieces. The past few months, they had been running around like crazy doing a lot of different tasks that weren’t centered just around working on the farm. Throughout the past year, they’ve been in and out of the old community center, in and out of the mountains, up and down the beach, and had spent a lot of time in either the library or the saloon. Everyone in the Valley knew Jam and the only one who didn’t have something positive to say about them was Haley, but honestly, no one was surprised.
The one person they seemed to have grown the closest with, however, was Elliott. The silent creative man who lived in the shack on the beach. Jam couldn’t remember exactly when they met, but they had been going down to the beach to do something originally and ended up getting caught up in conversation standing there on the bridge.
Usually, people will claim that it took a while for their spouse to grow on them; for them to get close or like each other, but Jam’s opinion was different. Technically it only takes a couple minutes for your heart and mind to become attracted to someone, sometimes even seconds. It’s the time spent together afterwords that give you time to truly process those feelings and figure out if they’re compatible with the other person’s feelings towards you as well. And from just one conversation with the cheesy writer, Jam could feel themselves falling head over heels.
Throughout the year as times passed and interactions between them steadily became more frequent, it became glaringly obvious to everyone in town that the two were falling for each other. Especially to the point that Pierre sent Jam a letter in the mail that if they had found someone truly special to them, that he was now selling bouquets of flowers at the store now.
At that point, Jam wasn’t sure if Elliott actually liked them that way but they had decided to throw caution to the wind and bought one, blushing as Pierre gently ribbed them for it. The whole walk to the beach they were trying to figure out if they were just blind to how Elliott felt for them since they were admittedly sometimes oblivious when it came to how people felt towards them and would just always assume the friendliest/platonic of feelings from others that were kind to them or spent a lot of time with them. It was also generally safer since they tended to form crushes on people like there was no tomorrow.
After that day, the two of them had been a jumble of nearly intolerable cheesy flirts, now that they had both confirmed that they had liked each other much more than just friends. Abby and Pierre would tease Jam whenever they were in the shop, and Leah would always buddy up to them when they visited the saloon. At some point, Jam had confessed to Leah that they wanted to propose to Elliott but wasn’t sure how they should go about it. To which Leah suggested they do something creative since Elliott liked all things artsy.
A week later, they had received a letter from both Lewis and Elliott. Lewis’s letter told them about the Valley’s tradition of offering a shell pendant to the person they wished to spend the rest of their lives with. Which made Jam realize that they had noticed these shells before but had never thought to ask about them: Nana Evelyn, Jodi, and Caroline all wore one of these shells. They didn’t visit the mountains often so they never noticed that Demetrius also had a shell necklace.
It took a while for them to finally figure out how to obtain a mermaid’s pendant, discovering a book in the library that told them about a ghost that appeared on the beach when it was raining. They had been hesitant to believe the information, but considering all the other supernatural things that they had encountered since they moved to the Valley, it couldn’t hurt.
They found the ghost after Elliott took them out onto the ocean though, he had asked them to meet with him down on the docks the night his letter had arrived at their house. They had been surprised that it was a romantic boat ride on the water as he expressed some pretty deep feelings. It was the surprise kiss that they had ended up sharing that convinced Jam to officially start their search for the Mermaid Pendant.
They wondered quietly if there was some weird kind of symbolism to them buying an engagement piece from a ghost in the rain... It didn’t help any but by the time they had gotten the guts to finally ask was during their second summer in the Valley. Jam knew that Elliott liked to spend time down on the beach in front of his cabin on Friday’s and Sunday’s like clockwork; what they didn’t expect was Sam to be down on the beach with Vincent and for Leah to be sitting in the tide when they showed up.
They had gotten super flustered by the fact that they figured out what was going on right away; at least Sam and Leah had anyway. But it warmed Jam’s heart regardless and after a moment of thought, they even asked Vincent if he wanted to help them as they both started gathering driftwood and shells from the beach. With a little fumbling, they spelled out ‘Marry me?’ with the wood and shells before Jam asked Vincent to go and knock on Elliott's door for them, which he was more than ecstatic to do and went banging on the poor shack’s door.
“Vincent what-” Elliott seemed a little disheveled, with a brush in hand when he looked up to notice Jam standing there holding the pendant. They were momentarily distracted because Vincent had booked it back over to hide behind their legs.
“Afternoon, Elly.” They smiled softly over the waves and Vincent’s excited babbling, directing the author’s attention to what they had written out in the sand. “I...Will you marry me?” Jam finally asked, bashful as they shuffled up to where the brunette was still standing in his doorway; holding out the cone shell necklace, offering it to him.
“!!! Yes!” He seemed startled out of his shock as he drops his brush to instead scoop Jam into his arms and twirl with them into the sand, laughing. Leah’s whistling in the background, Sam’s shouting at them in celebration and Vincent is just feeding off their excitement while running around his older brother squealing.
“I’ll put everything together, don’t you worry about a thing.” Elliott smiled behind a curtain of messy hair, which Jam promptly swiped out of his face enough to lean up and kiss him. “I love you so much.” They chuckled, wrapping their arms around their fiance's neck and hugging him close as they laid in the sand.

Sims Story!
Okay so i managed to get the sims 3 on steam and since i used to plsy a bunch of it when i was little on my old computer, i decided to buy it.
The rest will be under the cut as it is long.
It's just as good as I remembered. So, when i jumped in the game and made a sim, i decided to go with a calm, family style life.
I started with two parents, two teenagers and a toddler. Abigail & Johnny for parents, Katie and Draco for teens and Tommy for toddler.
Eventually the bathroom sink broke and Johnny had to call a technician, but when she showed up he fell head over heels for her. He was the spouse to Abigail, dont forget.
So while Abigail was out, the teens were out cold and Tommy was asleep, he cheated and got away with it. Or at least, he thought he did. Tommy was still awake.
But because Tommy was too young to say anything, Johnny got away with it, working longer hours at his job. Now, around this time Abigail is pregnant with Johnny's kid, keep that in mind.
Well, Draco had had enough of Tommy not having enough interaction with his parents, so he took it into his own hands to raise him, building a little shed with everything both of them could need.
Then, Abigail went into labor and Johnny was off on a date with the plumber girl from earlier, he didn't even bother showing up. Draco, however, was there and took the child into his little shed and kept him there along with Tommy.
Johnny soon broke up with Abigail and moved out, leaving Katie and Draco to comfort their heartbroken mother.
Even though Draco was horribly falling school because he refused to leave the toddlers alone, he reached adulthood and moved out, taking his little brothers with him. At this point, Tommy was a child.
Everything went smoothly and soon Tommy was a teenager and Dextor, the youngest of the three, was a toddler. Soon, Draco fell in love with an older woman named Agnes Crumplebottom in a library.
They started dating and, over a few weeks, Agnes moved in and married Draco. Soon, Agnes was pregnant with their first child, a little girl named Emily. Dextor was now a teenager and Emily had oh-so-soon became a toddler.
Days went by quickly, Dextor gaining a passion for art and Tommy gaining a near-obsession with becoming an athlete, Agns got pregnant again and gave birth to triplets: Maru, Leah and Haley.
The two brothers, both unemployed, decided to help Agnes and their eldest brother raise the four children, even going as far as teaching Emily how to walk and talk.
Emily became a child and her sisters now toddlers, about the third generation now. Between the four of them, three brothers and a wife, they successfully raised the remaining three into mostly well-behaved babies.
Now we get to Emily, a young girl with a passion for fishing. She was actually very good at it, balancing her passion and school with ease, even getting on the honor roll along with Tommy.
Tommy had mastered athletics by then thanks to Draco training him, but something went wrong: Agnes was dying from old age. Draco was devastated and desperately attempted to reverse her aging, but he only managed to clone her, a version of her from a long time ago: Young Adult Age.
Draco quickly remarried her, the original Agnes sadly dying while the younger one thrived with Draco and her family. Then, after what felt like forever, Tommy became an adult and started working as an athlete at the local stadium, Draco soon following.
But, at around 7PM on a clear thursday night, Draco was just about to head home from getting his dream job as an athlete, when a woman suddenly dropped dead in front of him. He was in shock, unable to move when The Grim Reaper raised out of the ground and took her ghost to the afterlife only a few feet away from Draco.
One of the shocked spectators fell unconscious from shock and the rest fleed, but Draco refused to. He stayed next to death himself, actually having a pretty good time while death read a book about Fashion Advice For Hermits, until he disintegrated into the floor.
After the shocking turn of events, Draco made a run for it back home and never spoke about it to anyone, scared that death may take revenge.
Months later the triplets became smart young children and Tommy fell in love with a boy named Cyrus Keaton, one of his classmates. They started dating and were extremely happy with eachother, even when Tommy had an accidental one night stand with a boy named Leighton Sekemoto, which he still regrets to this day.
After many promotions and a lot of training, Tommy was gradually becoming more and more successful. Agnes was becoming a brilliant writer and Draco was slowly following his little brothers footsteps.
Around this time Dextor became an adult and started painting better and better pictures, hanging them around the room he shared with Tommy.
Eventually, Tommy realised he was not, in fact, in love with Cyrus and had to break up with him, although both are still on good terms. He soon moved out and moved in with a girl named Ashleigh Felton, quickly falling head over heels for her and getting her pregnant. He proposed a few days after the announcement and got married on the nearby beach.
The wedding itself was beautiful, a sunny day with the entire family there, Emily and the triplets were actually teenagers now, much to the surprise of their Uncle Tommy. But nonetheless, the wedding was beautiful and the party was a success.
And this is where we are now, Tommy and Ashleigh in ther own little house with a child on the way, planning to continue the family legacy with a ridiculous amount of children.

Weird headcannon request: what would your favorite villagers do in an apocalypse
Listen listen listen. I fucking love anything to do with the apocalypse, especially when zombies are involved. So I’ll write about that !!
This one took a while, sorry ! I wanted to include at least all of the bachelors, and then bachelorettes in another post maybe if I’m not lazy.
Also I follow someone on my other account and I really liked how they like, used different colors to highlight names, so I think I’m gonna do that ! It’s just cute okay :)
Bachelors in the Apocalypse
Alex
Alex thinks of himself as the most ready for the apocalypse. He’s got what he and his family need to survive for months. Food, weapons (Mostly just old baseball bats), clothes, and the Will to Survive.
The zombies probably come from Zuzu city. City people are dumb and get infected right when the virus hits. Everyone in SDV is safe. For now, at least.
Alex, unlike the other villagers, refuses to interact with anyone but his grandparents. He keeps contact extremely limited with people. The only time he ever interacts is when he goes to drop off cookies at Haley’s house, per Evelyn’s request.
He does miss his best friend, though. He misses everyone. He misses that time where he didn’t hear zombies going around the town, banging on doors and smacking their heads against windows. It sucks!
Alex takes a number of zombies down. He’s easily one of the toughest bachelors, plus he’s super strong. He wants to eventually take out all of them, make the valley a safe haven like it used to be. There’s still a long ways to go, but he’s slowly making progress.
His grandparents, especially Evelyn, help out by cooking for him and others. Alex helps out other villagers by dropping off little care-packages. It’s cute! It’s also his way of keeping in contact with everyone and making sure they’re okay.
Alex is the one in a zombie apocalypse movie to survive until the end. He makes the smartest choices and keeps his family safe. He can’t afford to lose anyone else.
Harvey
As a doctor, Harvey’s first thought when he hears about the zombie apocalypse is that he needs to find a cure.
And so he tries to. For about a week. Maru is in the office with him for a while, going back and forth from her house to the doctor’s office. It’s tough experimenting on zombies and it feels.. wrong.
Even though they’re a zombie, Harvey knows that there’s a person in there. Was a person. So he gives up on the cure and instead focuses on keeping the citizens healthy.
Harvey is a goddamn tank. Were he to be partnered with Alex, the zombies would be gone within two days. However, they have different concerns. Alex keeps the zombies away from the valley, and Harvey keeps them away from houses.
They have a good system. Harvey goes around the houses to do checkups, trying to keep some form of order in the new world. He makes sure the oldies stay healthy, despite being cooped up, and that the people that are out fighting stay un-zombieified.
I think Harvey would almost last to the end, but makes a careless mistake and gets bit. Fortunately, a cure comes around! He still did research on the zombies during the apocalypse, and his notes came in handy.
Elliott
You’d think by now that Elliott would be used to being cooped up in his house. He’s practically a hermit! The only time he used to go out was to sit by the ocean or see Leah at the bar.
Now that he has to stay in, he doesn’t like it. It’s the same as all of us with quarantine. Elliott never went out much before, but now that he can’t, he wants to.
He feels like dying of boredom within a week. Fortunately, the sense of impending doom creates a good writing atmosphere. He finishes at least three books during the span of the apocalypse.
However, Elliott isn’t very smart about his survival. He either forgets to eat the food that Alex drops off, or eats it before the week is up. It’s tough.
Eventually, Elliott decides he can’t survive on his own like this. He feels like he’s going mad. It makes for nice poetry, but for now, he needs to prioritize his health.
So he makes his way to Leah’s! He figures it’s probably a good idea. Nobody ever said that you couldn’t hang out with friends, or stay with them.
While going to Leah’s, he’s not very careful with avoiding any zombies. He’s not attacked, but he is followed. Leah let’s him in of course, and then end up holed up in her house. She’s lucky enough to have the forest near her house, so she can rely on that.
Elliott probably trips up somewhere and ends up dying first, joining the rest of the zombies. He’s not very good at being a zombie, though. Which might be for the best! He doesn’t run around very much and usually just hangs back by himself.
Sam
Sam thinks he’s going to be good at the whole apocalypse thing. He’s like “I’ve played enough first-person shooter zombie games to know how to fight them off.” Then the second he’s put into combat, he falters and doesn’t know what to do.
Lucky for him, Jodi is good at fighting. Kent knows how to defend the house. Vincent knows how to ask dozens of questions about what’s going on.
And Sebastian knows how to sneak into Sam’s window at night when they haven’t seen each other in a while. They still try and keep close, but most of their conversations are over the phone. It gets lonely, sometimes.
Sam isn’t necessarily smart about the apocalypse because he doesn’t need to be. He feels bad about relying on his parents, but you would too if you had his kickass parents.
He knows how to keep Vincent safe! Vincent is taken out at least once a week, mostly to see Jas. He misses her a lot. Sam likes to see Shane, too! He misses working with his buddy, even if his body was a grouchy alcoholic that waved him off whenever Sam got within ten feet of him. Good times.
Sam really wants things to be normal again, so he tries to stick with Alex whenever he sees him out. They’re good at fighting, but Sam is very chatty and often gets distracted by other things.
Other things are usually Abigail waving out of her window and whisper-shouting for Sam. Sometimes she’ll whip out the Samson!!! just to get his attention. It usually works. Alex will take a minute just to tease him.
Sam either survives until the end of the apocalypse, or dies about halfway through while on his many night trips to see Sebastian and Abigail.
Sebastian
Apocalypse? He doesn’t even know her.
Sebastian’s life is literally the exact same. Aside from hearing less people upstairs, nothing has changed about his life. Demetrius is upstairs working on a cure or something (Seb tuned out the second he started talking) and Maru goes off with Harvey sometimes.
He heard Robin say something about building a wall or something to keep the zombies out. He wasn’t planning to help very much, seeing as the others mom and some other villagers wanted to help out. Really, the only place the zombies are coming in is through the tunnel for the bus, so if they block that off, they’ll be fine.
Sebastian is more focused on other things. Like staying in contact with Sam and Abigail to make sure that they’re still kicking. Demetrius doesn’t let anyone outside of the house, so Sebastian sneaks everywhere, whether it’s outside to go smoke or to see his friends.
He’s pretty good at fighting, though. He can defend himself a whole lot better than Sam, who he thoughts would have more experience. They both thought his video game theory was true because they’re both dummies.
Those few times where Seb does get out of the house, he’s like a zombie killing machine. It’s too bad he’s doesn’t do it very often. He’s good at sneaking around, too. Those years of tiptoeing around the house to avoid his stepdad yelling at him are really paying off.
Honestly, the whole apocalypse could end and the zombies could dissapear, and Sebastian would have no idea. He'd still be down in the basement, messaging his friends and working on his coding.
Or, for a worse ending, zombies could storm his house, saving him for last, and he wouldn’t know until it was too late and he was surrounded by a horde.
I think Seb would end up surviving, though. He’s not necessarily good at the apocalypse, he’s just good at avoiding it.
Shane
When Shane thought about sobering up, he never imagined he’d have to do it like this. The apocalypse is pain in the ass for him.
He stays with Marnie and Jas, rarely leaving the property. He doesn’t like being holed up inside for so long because then he’s just alone with his thoughts, so Jas keeps him going most of the time.
As much as he hates to admit it, he misses his old life. He hated being employed at Joja, but it gave him something to do. And yeah, he misses his annoying coworker. Lucky for him, he gets to see him one a week when Sam and Vincent pop in.
Shane can act like he’s annoyed all he wants, but now? It’s he apocalypse. Why should he be so bitter?
I’m not going to say that the apocalypse changes Shane’s attitude, but he definitely has some revelations about himself that he wouldn’t have had under different circumstances.
Shane doesn’t like fighting zombies. Not as much as Alex does, anyways. But he still helps him out if it’s ever necessary. Shane is infinitely better at defending than he is attacking. He makes sure to keep the zombies away from their house, and the town in general.
Sometimes, Marnie will ask him to deliver stuff to Leah’s house, or Sam’s since they’re awfully close. It feels like a job to him, so he actually enjoys it. He’s surprised to see Elliott at Leah’s and immediately assumes they’re banging. He doesn’t ask any questions, though. He doesn’t care.
Shane probably ends up dying after a tiny mistake that could’ve easily been avoided. He doesn’t see it as that bad, since Jas is still safe. That was all that mattered to him, really. He either dies after a few months, or an entire year into the apocalypse. Either way he does not go down easily.
I would like everyone to know that I wrote these thinking that Lewis holes himself up in his house and does not help anyone out, so they kick him out and elect Alex as mayor. It was a silly thought I had, but then I just went with it.
Alex for Mayor 2020.
It’s not necessarily like, an official position, but they all kinda trust Alex to protect them, so he just assumes the position. He’s not the smartest, which is why Penny was elected to be Vice-Mayor (Alex’s words). They do a good job running the place.
Anyways that’s all! Hope you enjoyed! Sorry this took so long, it was a lot to write hah.
