some people have no idea the kind of pressure harry had when going solo, yes being part of one direction was a benefit because he was already famous and he had fans, but it was also a huge huge burden, especially for the guy who was always labeled as “the front man”, “the guy who wants to leave the band”, “the one who will have a solo career”... and i’m so proud because he decided to still do it his way, he went on a journey to discover himself as an artist and he shared it with us, harry’s house is the most genuine reflection of harry as a person and a musician and to get an award for it must have meant a lot... 

if you know only know harry styles™️ i understand you might not get it, but seeing a insecure sixteen year old grow into the man and artist that he is today and knowing that he still has a long way to go makes me proud to be his fan and i couldn’t be happier that he won today, he���s deserving of it because he is talented, he lives and breathes music and he’s a fucking amazing performer

oh man, i understand the distaste for high and mighty 'intellectuals'. i've met a lot of them in my years in university (my major is more of a scholarly/academic nature) and even until now in my work, there's a lot of smart people who think they're so smart they become so narrow minded. You could feel it immediately when conversing with them. It's as if they know everything, the arrogance is seeping. There's no joy in sharing thoughts and ideas, in finding answers and wondering what else there is to know. They're just bragging and feeling superior. and I hate that. I hate that i have to walk on eggshells when i talk to them. i hate that i cant speak my mind. i hate that they dont find the pleasure in learning and sharing ideas with others.

the ones i find most admirable are the ones who have vision, who can think outside-the-box. there are only a few people like this. that's why my closest friend of mine just click. we can talk about anything, even principles that the both of us has strong convictions on (we don't actually agree on some parts lmao she's more idealistic while im the pragmatist between us two). but that's a point of learning and understanding. not dismissing.

i dont mean to sound like im 'special' or something. im not, im just any other person in the internet who has a lot of interests. i'm just sad and disappointed that a lot of smart people are so difficult to get along with.

I wish there was a mod that completely stops Sims from moving to different areas, switching seats, sitting at different tables, etc. when they're having conversations. I've tried several that reduce the amount of chair switching but it still happens too often. I just want my Sims to stay in one area or sit at one table together for the duration of a conversation so I don't have to use poses for every single conversation they have just to keep them in the same spots. Like why is this a thing in the first place. What purpose does it serve?

Watched “Unsolved Murder of Beverly Lynn Smith” on Prime and I feel like a horrible horrible person but nothing her family did or said made me feel sorry for them. Especially the daughter and the twin sister. I understand how they feel I guess, but it was like they got drawn into the same tunnel vision determination that the cops did. All it did was let the real killer get away because they are STILL determined that this one guy did it even though charges were dismissed twice due to no evidence. It was rather annoying honestly.

That mostly came after seeing footage of the cops and their tunnel vision focus to nail the one guy for the murder despite how many times he insisted he was innocent, and don’t get me started on the “Mr. Big” operation. The cops there made some very uncalled for and unprofessional comments and even laughed about it. They KNEW they crossed lines but they didn’t care and made BS excuses for it later when called out. It was all for the one detective who was obsessed with being the hero even if he didn’t have the right guy in the courtroom. It’s not “pick someone and MAKE them confess whether they did it or not” or “pick someone and MAKE the evidence fit them” instead of the other way around.

And if he DID do it… well his sister was right. The family needs to be pissed off at the cops for the way they conducted their investigation which prompted the judge to throw it out because it was a clear violation of civil rights. But of course they don’t. They’re still convinced it was him even with no evidence except a coerced confession.

But that’s my opinion.
