I'm going to go off here just because I'm so frustrated.
So this drama all started when someone- a self-identified anti- posted a rant that I "wrote Halsin rape fantasy fiction." I was annoyed, as anyone would be, but even more because such a fiction didn't exist! But also, it sounded like a great fic, Halsin using a rape fantasy/consensual nonconsent to work through his Underdark traumas. So I said "you know what, I can't let the fake version of me you invented be cooler than the real me, can I?" And then I set to work plotting out Too Many Burdens to Bear, which would take about another month to be ready to post after that.
The group were angry at this, and soon after, they started a callout, cancelled me, harassed me, whatever word you want to use for this nonsense. They couldn't keep their story straight, from the start. Some of them claimed it was the simple fact that the fic was CNC that was wrong. Others, who were okay with CNC themselves but still wanted to have a reason to hate me, said my fic WASN'T CNC, and obviously that was the problem, it would be different "if" it was just CNC. (Then, when they were corrected, they....... never changed their tune.) Another said I was planning to write a fic about "Halsin being raped again" and had said "getting raped would help Halsin heal from his traumas."
It's like they're playing a game of telephone, but instead of changing a single word, the goal is to change the entire sentence.
Others insisted the problem was that I wrote it to "spite" the person who "only said they were uncomfortable with rape" (lol, then don't read it, you fucking dumbass!!!) I got told I was retraumatizing myself and others, that I didn't care about/fetishized rape, etc. They have since gone on to claim I posted the fic untagged, hoping to trigger the anti who started this.
These are the tags on the fic in question, which they would know if they bothered to LOOK at what they were criticizing.
Tumblr media
Could this possibly be ANY better tagged? I even had someone who is squicked by PIV sex reach out to thank me because no one EVER warns for that. That's how above and beyond I went in avoiding squicking anyone.
Like, literally everything this group claimed about my actions being problematic falls apart with the most cursory check at the ACTUALITY of what has been posted.
And these people, who claim care SO much about rape, who care SO MUCH about survivors? Yesterday, Mish made a post about Neil (as in, Astarion's actor) getting sexually harassed, and one of these people replied that it was "hypocritical" to say so while supporting me, who writes CNC. When someone replied that this was about a real human, not fiction, they literally said they DIDN'T CARE. They care more about defending the honor of Halsin, a fictional survivor of rape, than they care about the real person who played Astarion, who is a REAL survivor of rape.
When Mish and I said we are both survivors of rape and sexual abuse, respectively, these people said we were "playing the survivor card" (an utterly vile thing to say). I received an anon questioning whether I was really sexually abused.
They also, at the same time as the initial bout of drama over my CNC fic, began calling me a pedophile because of an omegaverse Halsin headcanon I made. For those unaware, omegaverse is an AU with many related tropes. Which ones get used vary by the author, but they always include heats and animalistic behavior, and often include knotting, mpreg, themes of subjugation based on gender, breeding kink, and others. However, while the trope started as a kink one, it has since branched out, and some write fics without smut at all, instead focusing on gender dynamics, kidfic, or other aspects of the universe.
I made a headcanon that Halsin, who in that universe I headcanon as an omega- who, in omegaverse stories, can get pregnant, and have heats- would want children of his own. I headcanoned that after taking care of children at his commune after the ending, that this might trigger a heat for him.
A normal person would look at this and go "aw, Halsin has baby fever! Cute!"
These are not normal people, so they looked at it and went "ewww, this pedo thinks Halsin gets turned on by being around kids!"
They literally said this. While also admitting that they do not read omegaverse stories. Multiple people who do read them tried to explain that it's just how reproduction works in that AU, but this person just stuck their fingers in their ears and yelled "lalala HEATS ARE HORNY IF YOU WRITE HEATS IT'S ONLY TO BE HORNY HORNY HORNY! NOT LISTENING!"
After they accused me of being a pedophile for this, I fired back and said "if you can look at this headcanon and think it has anything to do with attraction to children, you're the pedophile." I should not have called them one back, and I apologize for it, but this person has since gone on to lie and play the victim, saying "I just said their tweet was a bit sus and they called me a pedophile FOR NO REASON." They also said that they "wouldn't have been so quick to call it pedo if [I] wasn't so open about being a proshipper."
If I wasn't so open about saying that fiction is not morality, you wouldn't have been so quick to say that my fiction represented my morality? Hmmm.
If you notice, their posts all have the same formulaic deception and manipulative slant to them: they will say something about the fiction I write/enjoy, or the characters I don't like, etc, with a personal attack against my character. When I respond, they will then claim to have been attacked, violently and without provocation, "just because" they (x), where (x) is the most blatant glossing over of their actions. Them calling me a pedophile became "just saying their tweet was sus." Them harassing me for weeks over a CNC fic that HADN'T EVEN BEEN WRITTEN YET was "just saying we aren't comfortable with rape." So uncomfortable with rape, remember, that they said they DIDN'T CARE about Neil being harassed, because CNC about Halsin was worse.
You would think these two things alone would be enough to utterly destroy this group's credibility; they are either blatant liars, or their perception of reality is so poor that nothing they say is to be trusted. Anyone who prioritizes a fictional character's rape over a real person's is not living in reality. Anyone who thinks baby fever is pedophilia should not be trusted on, well, anything. It would be like trusting a flat-earther to give geography lessons.
But unfortunately, people wanted to listen to them over Mish and I, and sadly, it's easy to see why. The antis positioned themselves so that if you disagreed with their harassment, you were "pro rape". And no one wants a label that toxic associated with them, so they jumped ship on principle. Even though Mish is the nicest person in the entire fandom and has never hurt anyone at all, even though Mish is an IRL advocate for rape survivors and against gender-based violence in her country and has thus done more for rape survivors than these people ever have or will. It doesn't matter to them.
Other equally bizarre accusations have been lobbed at us; I'm "lesbophobic" and "called all lesbians TERFs" (I called the rhetoric from a group of like five people TERF-ish, but since they think they represent all lesbians, they claimed it was against all lesbians- WHICH, by the way, is my identity as well. They are calling me a self-hating lesbian over this.)
This group has a history of starting harassment against people, then cry-bullying that the pushback they get is a form of lesbophoia; for example, a few months ago, they harassed a bi woman off of Twitter who asked them to stop being biphobic by calling it gross to ship Shadowheart, a canonically bisexual woman, with men. They branded this user lesbophobic and harassed her until she permanently deactivated. They posted that it was gross to ship Karlach with Dammon, too, and when a user, who is herself lesbian, headcanons Karlach as a lesbian, and doesn't ship her with Dammon chimed in to say why OTHERS ship it, they attacked her too. They attacked the actor for Rolan for sharing/supporting a fan petition for Rolan to be romanceable. They called Dave, Halsin's actor, a creep for sharing NSFW art of Halsin on his page, and tried to insinuate he was a pedophile (saying they wouldn't be surprised if he had a scandal like "that Genshin actor," who, for those who don't know, was found to have groomed a child online.)
They claimed that I "called everyone who doesn't like Halsin ableist", when what was actually said was that IF we call everyone who doesn't like Minthara lesbophobic because a lot of her fans are lesbians (which is a thing that one of them had just said), THEN using the same logic, we could say that hating Halsin is ableist because a lot of his fans are autistic. (Sidenote: this group of people repeatedly mocked my special interest (making meta essays) after being told it was my special interest, which is pretty gross, to me.)
It genuinely boggles my mind that a group of people can be so toxic to the actors and still given a platform in the fandom. This is entirely new behavior to me- even in the most toxic fandom's I've been in or rubbernecked on, harassing the actors was always considered the line not to cross and would make you persona non grata. It was the one thing everyone could agree on as unacceptable. Yet these people are openly attacking Dave's character and are still not only listened to when they make up allegations against people, but they are well-respected in the fandom. Either people don't think harassing an actor is a big deal anymore, these fans secretly AGREE with the harassment and slander against him, or (most generous explanation) they don't know who they're actually supporting here.
These people gleefully mocked my abuse from my mother. I said that some of Minthara's abusive actions (poisoning a romanced player without her consent) reminded me of similar actions my mom did, and are part of my aversion to the character. I posted this untagged- I even censored Minthara's name so that her fans wouldn't find it. But because they were cyberstalking me so obsessively, they QRTed it and proceeded to bring it up multiple times to snark about "the essential oils". When someone called them out and asked if they really thought it was funny, they answered, without hesitation, yes. They said that I had already "mocked my own abuse" by bringing up how Minthara triggers memories of her, so they therefore had every right to laugh at the bodily harm I faced when my mother would deliberately cause me asthma attacks by forcing me to inhale essential oils. Because I said that a fictional character's similar actions triggered memories of it. That was worthy of mocking to them.
So they support survivors of rape and abuse who have triggers related to fiction, unless that survivor is a survivor of child abuse who is triggered by their favorite character, in which case they deserve to be mocked. I guess they don't believe in supporting survivors who have trigger reactions to fiction after all... what a surprise. Almost like they never cared about anything they claimed to.
They're actually remarkably transparent about not actually caring about ANY issue they claim to champion. They claim to be fighting for rape survivors while harassing not one but two survivors from the fandom into mental breakdowns (the tweet about my mom was so bad it made me have a flashback, and their harassment of Mish did similar to her) and saying they DON'T CARE about Neil's sexual harassment because fiction about Halsin is more important. They claim to oppose lesbophobia while repeatedly attacking lesbians who disagree with them on anything from shipping to whether queer male sexuality is inherently predatory. I could go on.
Somehow, no matter how blatant it is that they don't actually care about anything, and are just using fake moralizing as a vehicle for sadism, people still keep taking them at face value. Again, I get it. They have positioned themselves as fighting against rape and abuse, so by extension, they have positioned it so that anyone who is against them is liable to be accused of supporting rape and abuse. It's a great system for them, really; bullying is a behavior that would otherwise be reviled, but by framing everyone they don't like as a bad person, as an existential threat to marginalized communities (who, conveniently, always have their own marginalized identities ignored until it becomes convenient to bring it up again to harass them for it), they turn their bullying into not only something acceptable, but into a moral act to be commended. A moral obligation, even, because don't pedos deserve to be hunted for sport? (This is the same reason why the alt-right is obsessively pedojacketing the entire LGBT community as they move to censor queer fiction, for the record.)
I don't know what else to say besides that I really, really hope that people are waking up to that group's nonsense, or at least that they will soon, and will realize that fiction is not reality, and that that group of known disingenuous liars and manipulators are being... disingenuous liars and manipulators, yet again.
Unfortunately, it's too late since they've already chased Mish out of the fandom, and I will honestly never forgive that group of people and their enablers for it. But I have hope that maybe the rest of the fandom will come around, especially because, as all of us who have experience with antis know, they are never going to stop. They aren't going to stop targeting people for everything from making a harmless mod that turns Scratch into Astarion to saying it's okay to ship Karlach/Dammon or Shadowheart/men to writing a fic about Halsin using kink to explore his trauma from being enslaved to being an actor for the show who retweets NSFW art of his character to making a headcanon that Astarion wants to dance with Tav to making an omegaverse headcanon... I could go on and on.
Sorry for the novel, and I hope this is the last post I make about this drama, but I am so beyond tired and frustrated. This hurt Mish deeply- the nicest person in the entire fandom- and seeing the raw sadism from her bullies, sadism that is being praised, makes me feel physically ill, honestly.
I won't be using any fandom tags for this post, but I will be tagging this with various proship related things since I feel this is relevant.

Hajime Isayama is a genius. And here's why: a tangent
The fourth season of Attack On Titan (AOT/Shingeki No Kyojin) is the epitome of
The enemy of my enemy is my friend.
Keep that in mind as you, if anybody, reads this.
Eren's villain arc makes total sense. Don't get me wrong, the ending was fucked. But it made so much sense.
With the entirety of the series being about freedom and him having the Attack Titan's power to "see" the future, Eren—as dumb and idiotic as he can be—realised, I think, that in order for the world to stop seeing Paradis as their foe (for the world to stop seeing Eldian's in general as their foe) and for them to have the freedom he so desperately dreamed about from the day Armin showed him that book, they needed a common enemy. But there wasn't one: there was just hatred and violence towards others who were just a little different. So he realised that, in the end, he had to become that. He had the strength and power, and he knew that. He could be that for the people. He could be the reason that the people of Marley and Paradis unite and fight side by side instead of fighting each other. He honestly even told Armin as much.
ARMIN: It was all to push us away from you... and make us into heroes who save humanity from extinction by taking you down?
EREN: Yeah. You guys will become saviors to all that's left of humanity. You turned your backs on Paradis in spite of being "Island Devils," and sided with humanity to the end.
Eren became what no one else wanted to. What no one thought he'd become. For the sake of the people that meant the world to him: Armin, Mikasa, Connie, Sasha, and even Jean (side note: I loved their rivalry. It made things light and fun even in dark times). He says that in order for things to go the way they needed to, future him sent the titan towards his mother instead of Bertholdt. Eren had to do the hardest things of his life towards the end: one being becoming someone he's not for the sake of the greater good (poor babies. Honestly, he was convincing as the villain: he had all the justifications to be that person. But he wasn't, down to his core, mean and cruel as he so convincingly portrayed himself to be. He even had his best friends fooled. Up until Armin heard about the eradication plan. At that point, Armin called his bullshit—which is fair).
He showed his father memories, fake and real, of what's to come to make him convince Zeke, which was very clever. He controlled Yimr enough—with Zeke's help of course—to make her attack his friends with titans from the past to put on a good show, not knowing whether or not they'd make it out alive (he hoped and his hope and knowledge that his friends—no, family—were skilled enough to stay alive). He definitely knew his death was coming, and he knew he had to continue on, even if that meant causing his loved ones pain; the pain of his death moreso than anything.
Eren made Marley team up with Paradis. To fight an enemy they both had in common instead of each other. To make Marley and the rest of the world see sense (though as Historia said: "The fight will not end even after the Titans have vanished. Eren told me everything about the future he knows. Even if he can't see the future past that point, he was able to see this future vividly. I'm sure this outcome was not just the result of Eren's choices. This world is the result of the choices we all made. We must fight. So we won't have to fight anymore. Even if it means to live a living hell devoid of peace...")
Hense the reason I say that the fourth season is the epitome of "The enemy of my enemy is my friend." He knew that if they had a common enemy, they'd unite and fight together, not against each other. There was no need for senseless killing. He didn't want that.
Oh and don't even get me STARTED on the symbolism. My GOD that struck me like a fucking truck. Like, the shot of the scouts saluting Levi as he sat against that bolder only for the camera to pan to the Wings Of Freedom on Erwins back as he disappears along with them. UGH.
And then the biRD PULLING AT MIKASA'S SCARF ONLY TO FLY AWAY. LIKE, WHY WOULD YOU SHOW ME THAT??? Im CrYiNg!!!!!
Eren is finally free.

how did you deal with shifting not "working", like waking up in your cr after u went to sleep intending to wake up in your dr? like i know thats not a problem for you now, but before you shifted for the first time, how did you deal with that? for me, once i shift for the first time i have it scripted that ill be able to shift instantly etc. and ik technically thats true now, but after 3yrs of not seeing any progress, aiming to wake up in my dr is all i can muster. :/
Hm... if you mean how I dealt with it emotionally then:
I know it can be hard but don't blame yourself or insult yourself. You tried your best and that's what matter. Always be kind to yourself, even if you don't quite believe it yet!
Persist! Again, I know it's hard when it's been so long, but you've come this far. Ask yourself this question and answer sincerely, do you really want to give up? Some people might say yes, but if the answer is no, that's more than enough reason to keep going. You will shift. Believe in yourself more!
Take breaks when you need to! Don't let yourself get burnt out or spiteful toward shifting. If you need to chill and not think about it for a while, that's okay!
Try to stay motivated! Remember how you felt when you first discovered shifting or feel the emotions you know you'll have once you shift. Immerse yourself in your DR!
Now, if you meant what steps I took to actually shift for the first time after "failing" for a year:
First, failure in shifting doesn't exist. Trust me, I know how that sounds, but it's true. It simply doesn't exist. Whether you think of every action as a shift or not, failure isn't real. It's perceived. It's okay to feel bad and angry but once you've felt those emotions, take a deep breath and remind yourself that you are in control and that you literally cannot fail.
As a side note on the "failure not real" thing, the only thing "holding you back" is you. Now listen I'm not trying to make anyone feel bad, okay? I understand how shitty that sounds and how your first reaction is probably "fuck off". I get it! I had the same reaction back then. But literally nothing and no one can stop you from shifting. Not the method, the time of day, the universe, or any deity or spirit. Nothing! NOTHING is holding you back. I know it can be hard, but getting comfortable with the idea that it's all you and learning how to not blame outside factors will really help in your shifting journey.
Most of the time when people are "failing", it's because of a belief they have. Maybe they still think shifting is fake and have the belief that it will never work. Maybe they believe they're not powerful enough or worthy enough. Maybe they think shifting is inherently hard and takes some people a lot of time to get there. Maybe they think methods matter. I don't know what beliefs you have, but when you get the time, truly go over each and every one. Do you have a belief that could be affecting your shifts?
If that's the case, start telling yourself that you'll shift no matter what. I really need you to understand that you can shift whenever you want, regardless of everything. You don't need a perfect self concept. You don't need perfect mental health. You can have limiting beliefs and still shift. Nothing matters! Truly let that sink in. Internalize the fact that shifting is all up to you and what you're telling yourself.
And above all, have fun!!!!! Too many people suck all the fun out of shifting for themselves. They create these intense rituals they don't even like, force themselves to try methods they hate, constantly insult themselves, and get jealous of other shifters. It's awful! Shifting is supposed to be fun! It's not supposed to be something that takes all your energy or something that makes you miserable. Seriously, if shifting is ever making you feel bad, take a step back and reassess some things. Let yourself have fun with shifting and I promise you'll see a lot more results!

ryo's first monologue and one of the first eps he appears on are such dead giveaways --
lacks self-esteem and self-reassures himself that he's the better one
I think that it's not only evident by the way he talks and acts, but also the tiny detail that he's living on a lower floor of a high building (mentioned by Momo). To which Ryo also acts like it's better that way, since he throws pets off his window (idk if meant to be a joke, but is very telling of the way he treats others either way -- things to be discarded when not needed anymore), and they don't die since it's not that high up (Which IS also. Listen -. Him throwing pets like that and then being able to gauge whether Momo will survive the fall off a higher floor. Maybe he lied to Momo back then too and Momo would've survived, not unscathed but/// there is a lot of gratification to be found in a person fearing you BUT MOMO DOESN'T and. also. that "I will throw you off a balcony" that implied that Ryo views Momo as entertainment, as a pet, and ultimately, as something of a lower worth that Can Be Thrown Away (since it's not human)). And since he throws pets without them dying, it's better if he stays on a humble lower floor if it means it spares their lives. Because Ryo is kind, you know
The way he points out that he can name fifty flaws of Momo and Yuki each, while praising himself -> THIS PARTICULAR PART IS SO DELIGHTFUL in its own. he's spiteful. everyone loves Momo and Yuki, but they don't deserve it, because they have so many flaws, they do this and that and they're not perfect at all. Why love them? they're rotten and fake and plastic. but not Ryo. Ryo is everything, Ryo has no flaws. but nobody loves Ryo. nobody knows Ryo. and people that do - don't pay much attention, don't notice how hard he's been trying, don't notice it all behind his brother. there's no sunshine for Ryo.
does play-pretend, acts in a manner that is meant to get shock attention (exaggerated movement, phrases) -> ultimately gets none which prompts to act out more and with less concern for others
This ties in with the first point because He Needs attention. That's why his and Momo's relation works ------ Momo's goal was networking, and he did earn a favour because he's just good at being supportive. Momo IS Ryo's sunshine, not a human but a concept of adoration he can keep around and do with as he pleases. Momo is a pet, to be fed and to be talked to, to be seeked out for comfort and entertainment. And Momo IS an idol, idols are meant to be used like that, right?
And he acts and quips and does his word exchanges with Momo, and while the other retorts and opposes, Ryo enjoys it and i think he genuinely enjoys it for real. He can be himself and do whatever, right?
And Ryo keeps acting and acting and executing his plan, and gradually he comes to do worse and worse things. Because it's fun, because he gets to see them all suffer for not noticing him. Cut to Esperanza -- and suddenly the attention is overwhelming. It's not at all what he had in mind. it's a betrayal
the hatred for entertainment industry
Imagine going to a concert for an idol and hearing so much about how they make your day better, how they make you feel seen and loved and finally appreciated. Only to yell for attention and get none. Once more. First childhood neglect then getting ignored by a Legendary idol. The problem is not with Ryo, and that would be correct. But the idea that Ryo gets is that everybody just chooses not to see him because they're bad. That's why idols must be destroyed, they're fake after all.
the dinner setup for Momo
I MUST SAYYYY THAT HE STILL CARES FOR MOMO AND SUBTLY. HINTS AT HIM WANTING TO BE CLOSER. YOU KNOW. ALCOHOL AND ALL THAT STUFF. he never expresses anything with words and countless of examples of that will show up throughout. im going to explode
Destruction as means for Creation
Ryo sought out Hurt and Rejected people, to grow their budding spite into a shared hatred. There's artistry in negative emotions and what drew people in to be ZOOL's fans aside from the cool music and very rash characters, is the aura that their performances have (iiiiiii think its pt 5 where they start diving in to ZOOL's selling point).
This is also where Utsugi mentions "Ryo's sense of beauty" AND ITS (EXPLODES) .................. he knows. he knows. even if Ryo doesn't know, he is good at creating talent. as he said himself, he can see so many flaws in others, and he's so good himself, and that is true! he has strengths and he can be bold and can see to business being done with more and more profits.
(that's also where my "Utsugi/Ryo as contrasting opposites that are way too similar" tangent would go but I'm ---- )
Momo as a catalyst for change
Ultimately Momo's total downfall could have been if he were more pliant to Ryo, and while he tried to calm down the unstable man, Ryo assumed more and more control over Momo which would have ended badly if it weren't for the last conversation they had in part 3.
If Ryo fails at something, he should try again. If Ryo wants attention, he should say so, and demand it, vocally, now that he can talk, should be the loudest one. He needs to care. He should be honest about his feelings -- and he is. The moon is so beautiful.
The sunshine that beams every way, radiating warmth and light, covers the lonely moon with it too. And the Moonlight shines upon those who are in the dark, hurt and lonely - they become the stars, the idols on their own, facing the earth that hurt them with a gentle smile, knowing that embracing it with a kind presence is better than turning away from it.

How do you think the hacketteers would act in Squid Game situation?
Oh no...oh no
Amazing ask and also I feel like I need a hot chocolate to comfort me while I think about this lmao
Ok...well first off...none of them handle it well. Plenty of crying, panicking and yelling at each other all round. And in the situation where they're all taken home and then given the opportunity to come back, I can't see any of them doing that.
I could use some string of logic to say Ryan could convince himself it was all fake and go back but I'd like to think he's not THAT delusional. But even in the scenario where all of them are desperate for money, I just can't see any of them willingly going back.
But in a situation where they do and all die? I'll continue down here
Laura would obviously win, I don't think anyone would argue there. Either that, or if her and Max got to the end together, she would let him win. But she's the only one with the mentality for the squid games. Just, pushing her morals down and doing what needs to be done to survive. If Max is there with her, I don't think she would interact with anyone except him and if he's not there, she would lone wolf it.
This is kinda morbid but I can see Dylan y'know... giving up...once he realises the hopelessness of the situation. Like he knows from the beginning that they're all dead and he just tries to help the others in any way he can while also accepting that he's gonna die. Dylan would absolutely, no doubt, play the "I'll die so you can live" move when they're in partner games where one of them has to kill the other. Whether it's more devastating to have Ryan or Kaitlyn do it, I have not decided. But I am in tears.
Poor Abi. This whole situation is far too much for her. She survives as long as she does, purely due to luck and being helped and protected and then she'll die panicking and screwing up a game she had to do on her own.
All love and respect to my boy. I do think Jacob would be a moron. He's good at all the games and does well for a bit. But he wouldn't take it seriously at first, he'd be like "it's all fake these people are crazy" and then he'd probably die in some hilariously stupid, tragic way.
Ryan's in the same boat, at first. Stubborn himbo solidarity with Jacob, tho I doubt they get along in this universe either, they just agree. And then if he gets his head out of his ass soon enough to NOT die in a hilariously stupid tragic way, he would probably make it pretty far. And then die in just a tragic way instead. And here's the angst train but I'd say that killing Dylan would be the thing that gets Ryan realising it's all very real.
I can see Kaitlyn being top 2 with Laura. Just surviving because she has the skillset to survive. She would definitely be the most calm one throughout the games. kinda trying to keep people from being spiteful and work together when it's possible. I just don't think she'd be able to bring herself to stab Laura to death at the end.
Nick's tricky because we didn't get to see him in survival mode but I could make an argument for him going out in a similar way to Dylan. He'd protect someone else (probably Abi, but Jacob or Dylan would be some nice angst too) and die in the process. Maybe in the game where it's just a murder spree in the sleeping area. He would be confused and conflicted throughout the game and just try to be co-operative to the best of his ability.
Emma is another tricky one. We didn't get to see how she interacts with others when she's under pressure but based on her vibes? She'd totally try to form alliances based on who she deems the most useful. It's a smart move. But I think that she would stop being smart and end up trying to save Abi. Like she would have a choice between definitely living and abandoning Abi, and staying with Abi and maybe dying and she would choose that and die.
Max. Hmm. I think he'd be good at the games. He'd be reasonable and try to keep people calm and together but ultimately he would perish tragically unless Laura was able to rescue him. OR for ultimate angst. Laura fucks up and almost dies and Max sacrifices himself for her.

Emily Isekai Momence: Ningen Fushin: Adventurers Who Don't Believe In Humanity Will Save The World
Tumblr media
Coming out of an exhausting weekend, I finally find myself with the time and energy to give you all another review! Today we have the pseudo-isekai Ningen Fushin: Adventurers Who Don't Believe In Humanity Will Save The World. As a pseudo-isekai, I do have the responsibility to explain why this is included in my definition of the isekai genre. It's a bit less obvious for this one compared to others, but it does feature dungeons that clearly work on video game logic, as well as uh. Idol concerts.
Anyway, Ningen Fushin is the story of four disillusioned adventurers who join up after being individually betrayed, with the rationalization that their lack of trust in each other (and anyone else) will prevent any of them from betraying the others. I admit, going into this I fully expected it to be needlessly dark and uncomfortable, but I was pleasantly surprised to find a genuinely heartfelt story of healing, friendship, and the human need for connection.
Our main cast consists of Nick, an adventurer who became an idol otaku after learning his girlfriend used him for money, Tiana, a young wizard who discovered a gambling addiction after being expelled from her wizard academy when her fiance grew tired of her, Zem, an ex-cleric who frequents the local brothel after being excommunicated over false accusations of pedophilia, and Curran, a dragon girl who became a foodie after the hero's party left her for dead. In dire need of money to support their vices, the four of them team up and agree not to meddle in each others' hobbies or personal lives. Nick, as the most experienced adventurer among them, starts to show them the ropes of adventuring, and soon they take on a quest from the adventurer's guild to retrieve an ancient magic weapon.
The weapon, as it turns out, is the Sword of Bonds, a powerful blade with the ability to merge its wielder with someone they have a powerful bond with to create a vastly more powerful form. As the four of them categorically do not trust or like each other, they have no use for the sword. Or... do they? Despite what they say, it's human nature to form connections with the people around you. Even if it's rough and they're still working out how to interact with each other, Nick is able to use the sword's power to merge with Curran and defeat the construct that tries to stop them from taking the sword. Having seen the power of the sword (and heard its desperate pleas, because it can speak and is desperate to be used), they give the guild a fake sword and keep the real one for themselves. To avoid suspicion, the Sword of Bonds takes on the form of a boy named Kizuna (Japanese for "bond"), and the five of them continue their adventures, growing closer in spite of themselves.
I expected the fusion mechanic to be, in a word, cringe. Whether it was implemented with the juvenile excitement of a Power Rangers transformation, or with sexually charged "oh shit i've got boobs now??" commentary, I expected to be disappointed. But it was handled very well! It was mature and serious, fitting nicely with the general tone of the anime.
I was generally impressed by the lack of fanservice in this one. Despite being known for rampant fanservice, the modern isekai genre is much more tame than its reputation, but this one in particular avoided it. There's no romantic sub-plots either. It's just a story of adventuring, forging friendships, and facing the betrayals of the past, no distractions. It's just good!

Can I share a story somewhat simillar to Lilly's abuse record and Mikayla situation? It's not LO related and abuse hints are more explicit, but it keeps bugging me with disturbing parallels at nights.
I won't provide links, names, etc. 'cause I have reasons to keep them anon.
So, there are two queer ppl living in homophobic state, not much is known about them. Mx R, a skilled artist who draws ordinary stuff. And Mx L, R's manager and lover. There are debates among fans whether this pair is fake or real. One thing is undeniable - they made a spectacular perfomance out of their relationship which draws way more attention then just drawings (and it worries them to the point they regularly ask audience for money they believe should earn through art). How R&L present their pair seems loving and open-minded, both practice poliamory and teach fans how important it is to discuss their feelings and preferences. A little paradice in the middle of homphobic hell - it seemed.
First bellring for me was L's humilating and strait up devaluating public(!) comments about R, which R would defend as "family inside jokes" and L would always rage out on fans who dare to say "why are u so rude toward ur loved one?" - only to then complain why fans won't interact much with R&L content. Later a thought stroke me that poliamory was more an L's thing while R is more focused on art work. I mean, when they were close to break up, R made an entire comic as an apology! It felt like R had no one to turn to if they were really to part ways. And yes, there was a honeymoon 'til another "you're worthless without me" comment came from L. One more disturbing thing is that L uses their mental problems as an excuse to both their behaviour ( a.k.a. "I'm afraid R would turn away from me like others before, but R should improve on communication, not me") and their rage towards fans (a.k.a. "don't you dare poke an ill person that I am!").
It's such a shame R got stuck with L - I really like their artwork, but their relationship as a brand blends into drawings to the point I can't enjoy them knowing how L behaves and that R defends them. I really hope L doesn't controll R's finances (there was a hint, yikes) and I shamefully admit I want them to break up despite whatever problems L had in their life. It's not an excuse to be so shitty, it never is.
Even that it's happening in homophobic state isn't an excuse not to break up! (L won't shut up how they fears die alone if R leaves and that both will get in trouble looking for another partner. Excuse me, how da f*ck u found poliamoric partners then!?) I'm not queer myself, but even I'm aware how to find a close queer society to try and meet someone else. Gosh.
P.S. Speaking of Mikayla and her rushed art for Mummy video - I believe a couple more vids like this and she'll start suspecting same thing that Lilly's former partners came up with. It's the hard way, but effecient. Unfortunately, I'm not expecting same progress in R&L relationship for reasons -_-
Part of me can't help but wonder if the online world makes it harder for some victims to leave, especially the public ones.
You spend time building a "brand" together. The abuser leverages your public image to their "fans", making you the "good" one, or the one™. Everyone is just going on about how perfect you guys are, adding another level of pressure to stay together.
And then you see people saying that the relationship is toxic, and that the partner seems to be abusive, and I feel like that can cause victims to want to double down. They don't want to prove the "haters" right. Everything is fine.
Sometimes I worry that Mikaila will refuse to leave just to spite a bunch of random internet users, and discussions like this just add fuel to the fire.

headcanons for the card kingdom darkners? in general or specific ones. idk your headcanons are always god tier
UH LET'S SEE
I sent you the Jevil has a stuffed dragon one but I think he has a lot of plushies actually? He rotates them nightly so they don't get jealous
His favorite one is a yellow duck (don't tell the others)
In spite of being the Rules Card, Rouxls cheats at almost everything. This directly contradicts canon I'm fairly sure but it's funny so I'm keeping it
Seam hasn't brushed their fur since 1906. The tangles are real
They use fur detangling shampoo but it doesn't help
Jevil likes to hang upside down from trees by his ankles and yell in people's faces. He taught Lancer how to do this
Seam loves jelly beans. They have a jar of them on hand pretty much always. They like to offer them to people, but you can tell if they like you by whether or not they hand you a gross flavor
King listens to smooth jazz
Rouxls on the other hand listens exclusively to one of those weird genres that's like a mix of four other things and sounds fake. Like Retro Electrometal or Medieval Synthwave Punk
Queen listens exclusively to Queen because she thinks every song is a tribute to her (all OTHER music is banned though)
No one dares tell her otherwise
I know she's not really a Card Kingdom Darkner but she counts cause she has a timeshare plan there
And she's divorced to AT LEAST one of the actual people who live there so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Spamton went there ONCE on Jevil's invitation and proceeded to immediately scam every single Rudinn out of their credit card info and then spent the next few hours teaching Lancer how to hotwire a motorcycle

You know, from a psychological standpoint is interesting to watch how melties behave. Firstly, because by questioning MW left and right, they have said that she has no self worth (I've seen this one twice already), how she doesn't know whats best for her but these random people (mainly melties) online do. Like, Melissa herself talked about how she stayed with Blake because she didn't want to fail like her parents did, but then she realized she couldn't excuse his shit and how she could do better, but by questioning her choices is almost like they're negating all the progress she's made. It's like they're saying they a) don't believe her and think she needs a knight in shining armor aka K, or b)that he's using her or cheating on her.
And then, they act as if she's actually putting herself in a position to be used by appearing on Broadway, and thus, again, they believe she'd allow herself to be used for her image, she'd play pretend and act as if she's not getting a divorce even though she stands to gain absolutely nothing by doing so. (Seriously, the show is over, what could she possibly achieve by lying to herself or others?).
And by doing that, its a statment that this isn't about whether or not Melissa thinks she has no self worth (and I say that because if they believe she puts up with cheating and promotion, they have to assume she feels as though she only deserves that much), it's that they believe in that themselves. They think that little of her, of her tenacity and her achievments and growth). They think that, in spite of that, she's just a person who doesn't know better and needs to be told.
They really think she'd attend his opening and be by his side and introduce to her cast members only to be oh sikes, we're getting a divorce yay!
Ironically enough, it's the treatment they assume Chris has towards her (with no evidence) the one they're showing towards her.
I would also add that they are hating on Chris and AF on social media on this particular moment much more than they hate on BJ and his newest movie (the one with Travolta and Willis), that is realeasing soon. Knowing that, it's interesting to hink about what their real goal is and what they really think about Melissa. Because in a way, they are so blinded by the real hate tehy feel for him, that they don't see how it hits her too and makes her look simply bad and as you said, as someone whose all achievements on the way out of abusive realtionship and getting over trauma, in their opinion, are fake.
But well, that's scs and their shit and something real psychologist should talk about, because lately it seems really pathological.

Sometimes I remember all of our interactions with anti physical shifters, and I get so annoyed lol
For context, we believe in p-shifting but under set conditions (genetic, born with the ability, cannot be transferred, is not identity-based, and is not consciously provoked) and so a good portion of what otherkin consider p-shifting anyway we also disbelieve is even possible. Our constraints are very narrow, and we have no intent of seeking out p-shifters to try and "become one" anytime soon.
Almost every time we've encountered an otherkin vehemently going "p-shifting doesn't exist" it's almost always done in a condescending manner, with the intent to humiliate or deride the person if they don't immediately change their opinion on whether p-shifting exists.
It's so frustrating to watch, or to keep a straight face as someone tries to argue that "there's no way shifting can physically exist" or "all physical shifters are delusional" and I have to nod my head and go "yeah, that's true" or "yeah, I getcha" as I scramble to get as far away from the person as possible
Not anymore, though. I'm tired of it.
and the reason why it bothers me so much is because it makes no sense. It makes no sense to have that level of vitriol towards something you deem fake, impossible, play pretend.
If you don't believe it is real why are you so angry about it?
And I get cults, unhealthy groups exist but fuck, it wasn't just p-shifting. Kin-sanctuary, New Galifrey, Final Fantasy House, all of those were cults that never involved p-shifting and only involved "standard, real-world" beliefs. Hell therian guide was revealed to be a cult recently and surprise, surprise, nothing but zoos and pedos, the realest things there are. But no, "p-ShIfTiNg BaD" despite there being just as much (if not more) potential for harm from these other communities.
And I think what bothers me the most is that a belief that is not stigmatized elsewhere is being ridiculously stigmatized to the point where we need to fear for our lives around therians and otherkin, because some of them have expressed the urge to kill us/others for being this way. Think about that for a second, for someone claiming to physically shift, something you believe isn't real, you want them dead?
We haven't physically shifted (yet?) but you get the picture, we throw our lot in with physical shifters because the experiences are so similar.
And I'm tired of having to worry about being treated poorly for what is essentially a harmless belief. We're not selling people anything, we're literally just trying to exist and have a good time here on this earth. I'm tired of having to worry about this weird (and frankly isolated to select portions of the internet) stigma surrounding something that really doesn't have the same consequences as other "unscientific beliefs". No, I'm not going to unvaccinate my kids because of it. No, I'm not going to abandon science because of it (although even if I did it wouldn't give you the right to treat us this way) we literally just have these experiences and want to interact with others who get it.
Therians and otherkin like to talk about "the real world". Well in the real world, nobody cares whether you can physically shift or think you can. That's right, it's not a big deal to 99% of people and most people won't think you're crazy for believing in werewolves or shifters or whatever as long as you don't let it negatively rule your life. Plenty of normal, ordinary people believe they're connected to mythological figures with all of the powers they entail (godspouses, modern vampires, starseeds) or that mythological creatures (like gods, shifters, faeries) exist in the real world and are real beings. Nobody cares, unless you can't work or survive because of it and we thrive in spite of and because of it, so there's even less reason for an outside person to care.
Honestly, part of this essay was provoked by some old comments I saw (and remembered) pertaining to an old post we made in which we mentioned p-shifters should be allowed into the alterhuman community, provided they're not cultists or creeps. (After all, how are you going to distinguish between a physical shifter and a clinical lycanthrope or educate them about what alterhumanity truly is if you don't let them in?) and shittily enough, all people took away was "p-shifters are bad, clinical lycanthropes are bad don't let them in". Like, you're disgusting people if you think people who don't pose any threat to you should be gatekept out of a community based solely on the nature of their experiences.
(I was also incensed by the claims that simply believing in p-shifting indicated a mental illness, as if normal everyday people don't believe in supernatural powers.)
Anyway, we're done with that, we're finished, we'll find our own way outside of the community. We don't want otherkin support, all you ever did was confuse us. We don't want "help" from "well-meaning" outsiders, you're not going to change us without our approval. We don't need "treatment", we don't have a psychotic disorder nor do we want our traits eliminated. We are fine and healthy the way we are, and we don't need understanding from those wanting to change us.
However, this is petty internet kvetching. In the real world, nobody cares what supernatural species you are as long as you don't make it anybody else's problem (ie killing or hurting others), and we live in the real world, unlike the above critics. We shall do what we want, as we want, and if they have a problem or deem us ill we shall let reality answer their concerns.

I distinctly remember how there's spiteful homophobia against reboot Dante
and it's funny how the haters are saying Ninja Theory are saying og Dante is gay.......
But umm the haters and some curious people are even debating if reboot Dante is gay back in 2012🌈
I have a feeling by this era lgbtq discussions and, yes, the Gamergate thing, are now becoming topics being considered. Especially since videogames have been negatively pictured as the domain of cis-hetero males (& mostly white) who are a disappointing and "lame" bunch, which couldn't be further from the truth.
Because even during those 2010s females/feminine gamers exist and have been just as dismissive of games they don't like. We were even more ostracized because we don't fit the assumptions of what gamers are supposed to be. But anyway...
The article itself has one thing wrong about the game's story: it seems to point out Lilith is the main villain when she wrote that Lilith "controls Limbo City". But that's one issue and it was written on the year before its release.
The article is short and gets straight to the point that Barbas is using alarmist rhetoric to try to profile a "criminal" when he used the word sexual deviant against Dante. The article also managed to cover Tameem and Motohido's reaction and answer. I approve Tameem's line of thinking about their Dante's sexuality though....
The article is also a product of its time, as it implies the way real world news anchors and stories don't cover them like Bob Barbas does. They especially describe his anchorage harkens back to the 70s and 80s moral panic.
Whether it's written in a light-hearted and even optimistic manner or to write it in such tones because it is ignoring real world issues of journalism, I can't say. But it certainly seems to slip the writer's perception because Bob Barbas himself is a morbid parody of real world issues of news coverage bias and more. Not to mention how we are now more hawk-like ourselves regarding filtering fake news and vultures against the biased rhetoric of large news entities.

Dude shut the fuck up about things changing so their "pReVeNtInG yOuR dEsIrEs" you fucking aroacephobic cunt. Bet you're just another cis transphobe homophobe racist with a karen personality. How do you live with yourself? you're such a brat no wonder you have no followers it's because no one likes you and you don't deserve to have things the way you want, whore. Go kys and do the world a favor, do something good for once fuck I hate cis people
Tumblr media
... hah?
I- clearly you've never been here before. I'm willing to bet your a mutual that knows I find the "Lex AU Dib being aroace" thing wack as hell, but I mean- cmon dude. You could've atleast done some research on who I am and what I do before writing this. I have tons of gay, trans, and adding more poc characters. I myself am bi/pan, and I have a trans husband. Cmon dude. Is this really because I'm cis or what? Guess who's the phobe now? I'm continuing that "it's probably 100% a mutual" under cut, because for some dumb reason I feel safer under cut because not everyone looks there
Ight, cmon, calling mean aroacephobe, I have aroace, ace, and demisexual characters. Your only "attempt" of proving I'm aroacephobic is because I think the current status on Lex AU Dib's sexuality is clearly fake and a poor excuse for simping reasons. Take a hot sec to look at this all from my pov: this character you really have the hots for, who was originally bi, becomes gay. Then, when you create a more confident version of yourself and a feeling for a satisfying freedom of being able to simp with no shame, he suddenly, an insanely fucking horny ass bitch, becomes aroace.
This type of stuff just doesn't happen randomly or ironically. And if anything, thinking "it wasn't meant to affect away from me" is a gamble of the mind. You try to act calm when you have the ability to control a character and something is going wrong. When the situations go out of hand, you have the idea of changing a detail of the character to fix the situation, but you TRY to not act on it. Eventually, it slips through the cracks and happens anyway. You tried controlling it from happening, and you tell yourself "it wasn't my intention", that the fact this idea that would prevent the problem from continuing just rolled in development and it happened anyway despite the fact you were actually in control the whole time and hit the panic button, making it official, while you still tell yourself that it wasn't your intention. It's a toxic mind game. Neither people in the situation could really control it, yet somewhere someone will find a angered spark of realization. Whether they say it out loud or not, that's controlled. That, you actually have the power of saying how "this doesn't happen accidentally", how you know the mind game that played into this whole scenario in the first place. I would know, I've been both the "official changer" and the "one to cause the change".
And it's not like it even makes any sense! He is still CLEARLY horny. Dude can still barely keep his dick in his pants. Hell, I've seen newer fucking shit on him, he's still a horny fuck! Yknow, not what aroace is. The reason I've been so pissed at the word "infatuation"? This. "Infatuation isn't love", guess I've never felt love before then, huh? From a bpd yandere standpoint it's just illogical, trying to make that excuse to a irl idealizing yandere, who knows the real life feeling of the jealousy "I would do literally anything for you" mindset, it just makes no sense. This is indeed the type of stuff I would keep to myself, but this kinda changes it. If you think I'm "aroacephobic", how about you analyze every detail that's led to this point? I swear, if this is a mutual I really will lose my shit. You mutuals think you know Bug best. Yea, you guys get more info shit, and communicated more than me, but let's not forget who's Bug's wife and knows them irl, me. Learn your place.
For real, this is some new grade bull. If you see anything made out of spite, it'll probably 100% be selfship stuff, because suck it, after all of this I really do feel like I deserve something good from all of this. That and mutuals head's on a stick.

Arcane is a show about mentors imprinting themselves on their proteges. Vander onto Vi, Silco onto Jinx, Singed onto Viktor. Jayce comes across as so wishy-washy because he has two different mentors in Heimderdinger and Mel who constantly try to push him in completely different directions. But there's one mentor-mentee relationship that I don't think gets talked about enough: Grayson's influence on Caitlyn. (And yes, this post is partially inspired by the fact that I will adore any character played by Shohreh Aghdashloo.)
Of all the characters in the show, Caitlyn is the only with both parents present. Yet it's clear from the get-go that her relationship with them - specifically her mother - is strained. Cassandra does not approve of Caitlyn's choice to join the Piltover police. Caitlyn chooses to do so not out of spite, but because she is trying to become her own person, outside of her mother's wishes for her to pursue a career in politics.
Now consider the opening scene of episode 5, where a young Caitlyn is participating in a shooting contest. It's clear that even at a young age, she was very skilled with a rifle. It's also clear from her facial expressions that she takes great pride and satisfaction in the proficiency she has developed. So when she sees Grayson hold her shot, it upsets her greatly. Her immediate assumption is that her parents payed the sheriff to let her win. Why? Because she grew up surrounded by the politics of the rich and powerful, where every interaction is fake; where achievement is less about skill and more about bribery and privilege. But Grayson isn't about that. She's not interested in playing the games of the political elite, whether they be shooting contests or power struggles with the undercity. To her, protecting the people of the city - ALL the people - is the most important thing. We can see this in Act 1, where she goes behind the council's back to make deals with Vander in an attempt to keep the peace. Although it's not clear how much they interacted outside of that one scene, it's possible that Caitlyn's willingness to trust people from the undercity and treat them like real people came partially from Grayson. (It certainly didn't come from Marcus.)
Caitlyn is being set up to become the new sheriff of Piltover, and (based on the League lore) is going to separate herself from the corruption that permeates the upper class of Piltover. Instead of being the hired muscle of the council, violently quashing any threat to their authority, she's going to work to ensure safety and justice for all. To pursue the solution to every crime, even if that means gunning for some of the most powerful individuals in the city. Although their interaction was brief, I think Grayson did a lot to steer Caitlyn on that path. The authenticity and selfless service she demonstrated stands in stark contrast to everything else Caitlyn grew up with. For a girl trying to distance herself from her parents, I think that interaction was a defining moment for Caitlyn.

1. This isn't about anyone specific; it's about a general trend. If you are a custom owner and what I have to say doesn't apply to you for whatever reason - your custom is private, you sell it for cheap, you give copies away, you make your public custom accessible for all walks of players instead of just the rich/other owners - then this post isn't about you. Same with if your friend is a custom owner and this post doesn't apply to them.)
2. Also, I support the existence of private customs. This is about exorbitantly priced customs available for potatoes, and custom trade only customs.
3. I know real life inequality is worse than fake petsite inequality. But since we've all decided to care enough about a fake petsite to gather here on Tumblr to complain about it, I'm going to talk about fake petsite inequality anyway. If you're here to tell me it's not that deep, consider you are also invested enough in DV to come here and discuss the goings-on - so I feel comfortable discussing them too.
With that out of the way.
I am really getting tired of this trend where we can only talk about flaws within the custom system by first going out of our way to insist that we only hate the system, we don't blame any custom owners, the entirety of fault lies with staff, etc.
I understand why we as non-owners do it; we worry custom owners will get defensive and refuse to support our efforts to make the system more fair, or they will get their feelings hurt and make their customs entirely unavailable out of spite, and we don't want to take the opportunity away from people who currently can access them, or we don't want to be called entitled, even if what we are talking about is more about a system that favors 2% of users, not about whether we have a "right" to individual customs. And even when we make these disclaimers, half the time, custom owners come to us and complain that we didn't make enough of a point to only blame staff, or the words "rich user" hurt their feelings, or they don't like our "us vs. them" attitude. Even if we are just describing, in the plainest terms, the reality of what is happening on site.
The fact of the matter is - one, yes, the main problem here is that DV has made its custom distribution system an absolute nightmare. I won't get into that because there are posts all over DV and posts all over this blog about why that is. We've all read them. If you don't think there's a problem, either you're naive, you're a beneficiary of the system, or we fundamentally disagree on how the site economy should be structured to the degree that neither of us will be able to change the other's mind. However... custom owners are not helpless.
Custom owners have the right to price their customs however they like - therefore custom owners who choose to charge hundreds of thousands of potatoes per copy, up to a million potatoes in some cases, are making that choice. Staff is not making them. Other users are not making them (a custom owner who spitefully hikes up the price because they're angry about how people view their custom isn't being made to do anything, they're choosing to take out their anger on a few people on all their potential customers). The same goes for custom owners who only allow other custom owners to custom trade for copies. They don't have to make that the sole way to get their custom. They want to.
And if those owners offer lip service, saying they know the system is wrong, they don't like it either, they want it to change, they think the system excludes people - my question is, why not be the change yourself? Why wait for staff to, say, ban custom4custom trading, impose price caps, whatever it is that you tell people you think they should be doing? (I'm not speaking out for or against any of those suggestions, they are examples.) Why do you need to be forced to offer your customs fairly if you believe all users should have access to copies of non-private customs?
Yes, the source of the problem is staff and the system they put into place. Yes, we should spend our energy encouraging staff to make changes. No, we should never, ever harass, stalk, dox, or abuse individuals with customs (making a post about how custom owners, in general, treat non-custom owners is not abusive; I am talking about individualized, targeted abuse). No, bothering individual custom owners is not the way to get a fix.
But. But. Being allowed to do something unfair doesn't mean you should.
And I wish we could admit that custom owners who still don't see the problem with custom trading or 200kp+ customs are knowingly being unfair to everyone else.
We've all admitted that it was wrong of people to exploit the Irining glitch to get up to a dozen customs each, even though the glitch was the fault of the staff, and the fact that they got to keep the customs instead of being refunded was the fault of the staff. We've still been able to come together and admit, "After that person got two or three customs at once, they should have realized something was fishy and stopped. Or they should have given away or sold some of their copies to give other people a chance."
So why can't we admit "You may be allowed to exclude non-owners from access to your custom, but it isn't right" or "You may be allowed to charge 500kp for your custom, but it isn't fair"?
