now that we have all 18 i'm posting my personal project voltage ranking :]

PSYCHIC TYPE MIKU - 4/10 it's fine. its the closest to base miku of all the designs? like this is what i'd imagine if we got a miku collab in the newest games. nothing about ti really says psychic type to me though, which is why its low

GRASS TYPE MIKU - 2/10 i hate this design. not only is it boring but i don't like the colours, i think it looks messy and it might be the style disconnect or the design itself but if you didn't tell me who this was i wouldn't think it was miku. a grass type cheerleader doesn't sound like a bad shout which is why im so sad it sucks

FIRE TYPE MIKU - 5/10 . its just basic. it gets one point more than psychic because i have fire type bias but other than that its underwhelming. idk whats going on with her legs either? is it like exposed robotics? idk its just a miss for me

WATER TYPE MIKU - 8/10 this is so cute. the water textured hair, the tan lines, the like lifeguard gear(?) and the pokeball beach ball? it all comes together so well. i don';t think you can really go wrong with a water type design? even if i don't love water types myself you can't deny their designs just come together

ELECTRIC TYPE MIKU - 10/10 oh baby girl my BIAS i fucking love electric miku. shifting her blue accents into green, giving her a suit and making her a split-dye blonde were all such good decisions. i love the silhouette of the big puff pants tucked into the rubber boots and the suspenders with the lightening cane. everything about this makes me so happy

NORMAL TYPE MIKU - 9/10 i might be going back on what i said with psychic miku but to me even though it's very reminicant of base miku, it works better AND does enough to set her in her own typing. the multicoloured accessories, the rings, the glasses and the body suit. if we ever did get a real collab of her in game i hope this is the direction they'd go

ICE TYPE MIKU - 8/10 full disclaimer so much of this is just because im obsessed with her hair and suit combo. shes not outright evil looking like dark type but i still feel like shes a rival with a lot of power, anbd tbf a lot of ice type characters are made to be Icy in personality. my only gripes are the red bag chain and the open heels

ROCK TYPE MIKU - 6/10 its fine! it might be because i dont like the colour scheme or that i'm not a huge fan of all the flowy fabric, (especially because it directly follows ice type miku which made a point to utalise the sharpness you'd associate with ice) but i just doesn't wow me.

GROUND TYPE MIKU - 7/10 i really love this design, i adore the colour scheme and the cactus braids, i think she looks like a trainer you'd be ambushed by in the desert and the soundtrack would kick up and it'd RULE... my drawback is i don't think she looks like miku? i thought she was gumi at first and now i can't really unsee it. but eh im nitpicking

FLYING TYPE MIKU - 5/10 again, i like it but its very standard for a flying type character. the cloud braids and the sheer sleeves are fun! they're definately my favouritre part of the design. idk why her legs are painted white, i think they look kind of silly and im confused about the platform sandles but other than that its fine

FAIRY TYPE MIKU - 6/10 a cute miku design for a cute pokemon type, can't really go wrong with that. i enjoy that they didn't go lolita style with her, which i fully assumed was going to the case, but instead a gal type with the fake nails and pleat skirt. i enjoy that its a different way of doing a look for miku we've seen plenty of times before

BUG TYPE MIKU - 6/10 i don't hate it! very simple but very effective. i like the segmented limbs, the insectoid braids, the wing bow that looks like butterfly wings. i'm just not super enthusiastic about the colours. maybe i'm just used to bug types being Creepier in my head so to just have her be cutesy is boring to me

POISON TYPE MIKU - 9/10 this is such a baity designnnn the only reason i didnt give it a 10 is because i hate that shade of green but thats a personal issue. the plastic baggy shoes, the toxtricity, the mad scientist goggles and latex gloves... it all comes together so beautifully. idk if its like too busy or again, maybe i just personally don't love the individual colours used. i really hope elements of this design are used for a future character

GHOST TYPE MIKU - 4/10 i honestly don't like this design. yeah lets make the ghost type miku... a ghost, and nothing else. i think it's really boring compared to all the other ones. the glitch element is really cool but that's... all thats going for it? the colour scheme is the same, the neon is boring and i think everything is very stylish for pokemon but idk i wish it was more unique

DARK TYPE MIKU - 10/10 babe holy shit. this is a gorgeous design, i'm so happy they went an evil miku route with it. i was going to say i wish there was more red, and then i noticed the underside of the hat in the other concept so i'm happy. shifting the cyan to the bottom of the design is a really good call. she looks expensive as she should

STEEL TYPE MIKU - 10/10 absolutely beautiful colour scheme, shifting everything to metalic shades of blue is perfect. i think it's my favourite overall. very strong typing without them just doing Robot which i assumed. LOVE the metal braids with the welded patches the most, and i jsut noticed theyre kind of shaped like leeks. the charm on the sandogasa and the arm/calf guards really bring it all together

FIGHTING TYPE MIKU - 8/10 the black, white and orange is gorgeous and i love the splash of green connecting to sir farfetched. i'm just not inlove with the leg split tbh, i think if it was a cape i'd like it more. i think my main drawback is idk it doesn't scream fighting type to me other than it being based on the pokemon

DRAGON TYPE MIKU - 9/10 AND IMMEDIATELY MY PRAYERS WERE ANSWERED. the cape really completes the knight motif of this design perfectly where i think the previous one lacked. the scale decor jumpsuit, the gauntlets and boots, the SWORD MIC and the tail braids. they really did keep getting better and whilst this isnt my favourite its such a strong finisher

Holy gee WOW did I smile so very hard at this nonnie, I can't even tell you omfg. I was kind of wondering if Merrical would reach others in the SW fandom. I just know it's a smaller ship, especially in comparison to Reylo...and let me just tell you, Reylo Merricals, I think are mighty cool people.

Alright, well, I had another ask where I just gave all my fic recs and stuff like that, so you can find all of that here!

Okay okay okay, damn...where to start? I mean coming from Reylo you're still getting that enemies to lovers the grumpy one is soft for the sunshine goodness. Just imagine like...a Dark Rey/Jedi Ben AU? Yeah that seems like the right vibes to me.

Alright, so like the absolute 🤌thing🤌 for Merrical imo is all of the unspoken understanding between them. When I first played Jedi Fallen Order, what truly got me to start shipping is the moment Cal looked into Merrin's eyeballs and dropped the "I know what it's like to lose everything" line, like damn. That fucking--that ruined my life. He looked at her and validated her and then told her that how she'd been treated was wrong, and I just like fainted the old Katie can't come to the phone right now because she's dead. Here are two people, who both have been through so much, all of the same traumas of losing their entire people at such a young age and they found each other...like...do you know how special that is??

I think that is just another thing that I love about these two. There really is so much unsaid understanding between them that it seems like no matter the universe, they just seem to just naturally want to be around each other, and maybe they don't always understand why, but what it has is the potential to turn into is like *chef's kiss* of building something together that may have a foundation of joint trauma, but can then turn into everything they have been seeking and not even knowing they were. About two broken people, finally feeling like it's okay that they are, like they don't need to be fixed, like they don't need to explain, and they can just be.

It's about what they can build together.

They are so very healthy, have such amazing communication, and ISTG Star War if you don't give us this one pairing that won't end in tragedy I am setting everything on fire.

Alright, so obviously I would suggest playing JFO and then Jedi Survivor to get like the full story, but if you're not a gamer and want to commit to watching the "movie" version JFO, I thought this one was the best of the ones that weren't like 5+ hours but still providing enough context with cut scenes and some game play. I know it's still long but I tried to pick the best one under 3 hours!

For the JS movie. I thought this one was also a good balance of game play and cut scenes to get context. Let me just, like wow Respawn really made this game for the Merricals. Oh shit, these two are going to fuck your life up...in like the best way.

Also...HEH you're still gonna get all the freckle and hair appreciation in the world. Yes, you know exactly what I'm talking about.

as many ttpd thoughts as i can coherently write down

first of all grateful for the folklore x midnights x 1989/rep sound we have going on here. i hate comparing artists but seriously the best way i can explain it is phoebe bridgers this album sounds like phoebe bridgers. not like it's a bad thing it's phoebe fucking bridgers!!!

i feel like it's so easy to call music "intimate," whether because of lyrics that feel personal or just a certain raw sound, or whatever else, but this album truly is the most intimate thing i think taylor's ever given us. i don't know what sets it apart, cuz at this point she's written plenty of deeply personal lyrics, but the way i best know how to describe it is that it truly feels like she trusts us.

anyway i'm willing to admit that this album isn't a spectacle or a revolution or game changer, and i know it won't satisfy everyone (ngl i'm scared to see what everyone else is saying bc they'll never understand Like I Do) but damn it sometimes that much is more than enough. without further adieu

So you know the animagus (spelling? Idk) people in Harry potter? I wanted to do a fic about the brothers finding out that MC is an animagus which happens to be their favourite animal and how they would react.

For those of you who don't know, an animagus is a parson that is able to transform into an animal. They were originally normal in some cases and had a potion to give them this ability or they could have just been born like it.

Lucifer

This was something he didn't even think to look at when doing your background check before you came to the devildom because like, you're human??? and haven't heard of magic??? so how?!?!

So imagine his suprise to see you as a small doggo (breed is up to you) just casually chilling in your room with the human you nowhere in sight

He literally has to do a double take and then he pinches the bridge of he nose and sighs in exasperation. At this point he doesn't really know its you and is about to hunt you down to give you a good scolding when suddenly the dog transforms into you.

Actually catches him of guard for once because hello?? But he realises what's going on pretty quickly amd tell you off for not telling him sooner

Teases the fuck out of you now he does know and looked smug af once when giving you a collar. Low key loves this about you and secretly wants you in your dog form in his office when he's working to he can headpat the stress away

Mammon

He's very confused to walk into his room and see an unfamiliar crow hanging around with his lot.

At first he tries to shoo you off but when that doesn't work he gives up and starts messing around with you like he normally does with the crows that are his

Gets very excited to show you this new crow he's made friends with and grabs his phone to call you and ask you to come to his room so he can share this with you and maybe have you he friends with the crow

When you phone starts ringing he is *insert surprised pikachu face* because its right there in his room. Turns around for a split second and when he looks back at the crow just to see you sitting there smiling at him he has a mini heart attack

"Y-ya can't just s-sneak up on me like that, human! And- where'd the crow go??"

You'll have to sit him down and explain it to him because he's a little slow but he loves it! he thinks is so cool and now you can play with his crows with him!

First thought: wow

Second thought: How can I use this to make money??

Leviathan

He didn't walk in on you like the others did, instead you were in his room listening to him go on and on about henry 2.0 and how he was lonely in such a big tank without a Henry 4.0 (your Henry 3.0 even though your the heny that means the most to him you just found each other in that order sorry)

Suddenly your like *gasp* and telling him you have to show him something with an excited bounce in your step as you walk toward the tank

You ask him to go into his demon form and go in the tank like he usually does after he helps you climb in

Then you transform inso a seasnake right infront of his eyes!!

He's in absolute awe

now sometimes instead of chilling in his room and playing games or watching anime you chill and swim around in his huge tank

One day when he gets enough courage to he will take you to the beach so you two can play in the deep ocean together

Satan

Much like with levi, he doesn't find you in your animagus form accidentally, you show him it

He was on an annoyed rant about how much he wanted a cat but he was never allowed one even though he knows how to take very good care of them and is well educated on them and loves them and - now the anti lucifer league needs to have a team meeting

But you stop him before he can message belphie because

"I have to show you something. What if there was a way you could have a cat WITHOUT lucifer being able to take it away?"

*skeptically "go on, I'm listening"

Queue you transforming into a cat infront of his eyes

And him wanting to marry you then and there

Suddenly you two are joined at the hip

Every free second that you allow he'll have you in your cat form on his lap as he reads, or playing about, giving you catnip of it works on you and causing hella shenanigans

And your the exchange student! Lucifer can't get rid of you!

Extremely overprotective of you now, more so than before

you two become the bane of lucifers existence and you are Satan's favourite thing to exist ever in the history of time

Asmodeus

sees a cute little flopped eared bunny bouncing around in your room and decides he MUST get a picture for devilgram

picks you up and places you on his shoulder but gets mildly annoyed when you keep jumping off. Just stay still cute bunny! He wants the likes!

le gasp when you jump off for the final time and transform back midway down landing perfectly on your feet

He squeals so loudly and does and little excited dance when he sees ur the bunny

at first thinks it's a temporary thing caused bu Solomon magic but is very pleased to find out its just you being you

goes through a bunny faze on devilgram where he has all rabbit stuff.

turns out it's not a phase and even when he starts posting about new trends there is still some relation to bunnies in some of his posts

but it is nice to cuddle yiu in bear form because your fluffy and a lot bigger so he doesn't have to worry about hurting you as much

Belphegor

You're a ferret

and this little shit knows it

and he loves it

he already knew before meeting you just from observing from the attic

he especially loves it more when you two get closer

your like a small fluffy stuffed animal he can cuddle with

Idk if you know this but when ferrets SLEEP sleep they are practically dead weight, like they are long gone in dreamland

Maybe we could sit somewhere and try to paint some cute mushrooms together and later it starts to rain and so we go back home and drink tea whilst reading each other poetry. And then we make out obviously because duh it's Joonie Boonie. Also alternatively I wanna follow him to an art museum and then let him tell me all about what he knows about the art & artist. Like yes please tell me all about it, I wanna fucking look at your lips as you tell me about art. And I wanna tell him about photography because that's the only art genre I really know lots about and I wanna impress him, like that's all I want for him to go "oh wow I didn't know that, thank you for telling me, I learned something new". And then we drive to some place in nature with our bikes and make out under a tree.

Jinnie Bibbi

Spend a day with him in the most comfortable clothes ever and then play games with him. Like tbfh? I would already be happy if I could only watch him game while I'm on my phone and every now and then we would chat about something random or the game or I show him a funny tiktok and he laughs. And then we cook food together and eat it whilst chatting about our days. Like I just wanna lounge around with him, play games, cook and talk. I feel like he is perfect for that. I know it may sound boring to some but that type of day is just ideal in my eyes.

Yoongie Boongie

Cuddle him all day bro and play with his hair hahhaah. No but on a more serious note, I seriously just wanna coexist with him? Like we're both on the couch, close enough that our bodies touch and we do our own things but every now and then we reach out for the other and touch innocently. I also really wanna bake something with him. Put on some music and then dance in the kitchen while we're trying to bake a cake or cookies and then once they're done we share them under a blanket and he tells him all about his newest song or some random enlightenment he had whilst showering and I can trace his face and kiss his cheeks. Also a woodworking date, idk if you guys know that about me but I actually build furniture in my freetime fadjf so I wanna do that with him too. I also wanna go on a forest walk with him because I wanna show him tiny mushrooms and go “you” and then hold his hand and kiss his blushing cheek.

Hoba Boba

I wanna go shopping with him. Get food from a random street vendor & eat it on a bench while we talk about our interests. Get boba from a shop and sip on it while we strut down the streets. Go into every shop we find interesting and show each other what we think could look good on the other person. I also really wanna go to a secondhand shop with him and then do that thing where you pick out clothes for each other. You know, where the other is like “blind” and you say stop and whatever their hand lands on, they have to wear. Yeah I wanna do that with him. And then take pictures together because obviously we’d look cute af in our new fits.

Jiminie Miminie

Okay listen. I think that he and I would vibe so much afjdsjf like whenever they do a live and some of his real humor shines through I fucking wheeze. Like that man is so funny irl if he doesn’t have to censor himself, I am telling you. So tbfh? I just wanna hang out with him at his or mine place, order take out, open a bottle of wine and then just talk? Like I feel like we’d regularly topple over in laughter cause one of us said something borderline idiotic again which sets the other off hahahha. But if we’re really talking about activities maybe go to a fun fair and then ride too many rides until we’re both dizzy. This is obviously all a scheme just so I can hold his hand on the rollercoasters ohoho. Or go to a pottery painting class and laugh at each other’s drawings while trying not to laugh in order not to disturb the other students, which then makes us giggle even harder. No but seriously I just wanna like laugh with him? hahaha does that sound weird?

Roadtrip. I said what I said. I just wanna drive around with him, listen to music and sing to the songs. Then we stop every now and then for food or when we see an especially pretty place to take pictures at. We don’t know the destination but that doesn’t matter because quite frankly? Spending time with each other is the destination and the rest is just pretty things making the memories more vivid. I do wanna stop at somewhere high once the sun sets, just so we can oversee whatever is down below while the sun sets in the distance. Alternatively I just wanna paint with him. Listen to jazz, drink some tea and then paint next to each other. Also slow dance with him omfg please :( and, and omfg and work on a whole pictorial concept together, rent a studio and then photograph it with us obviously as the models because we’re hot like that HAHAHA. He is once again a canditate for a forest walk too because I wanna take pictures with him and see what catches his eyes. Obviously we’d use our film cameras, so that later we can develop our films together and then spend our evening scanning them and talking about them.

1) What fic did you have the most fun writing this year and why? Or, if you can’t decide, what was most fun about writing this year for you?

i had the most fun writing what we stay alive for this past year, it was really a passion project of mine that turned into this wonderful labor of love

2) What’s a scene/story that you finished and felt “wow, I really accomplished that, that actually went so well”?

probably loving you with no conditions, i've always really wanted to write a fic with that premise but i put it off for a long time because i was worried i wouldn't do it justice. but in the end, i think people really liked it, and it's one of the fics i'm most proud of tbh

3) What helped provide the most inspiration for stories, if anything? Was it poetry? A song on repeat? A gorgeous gifset? A walk outside? A book you read that made you want to change everything? Whatever it was! Tell all.

unfortunately the thing that inspires me most continues to be running/exercise. i cannot even begin to tell you how many plot bunnies/outlines i wrote in my head during runs last summer when i was training for a race. idk what it is, but when i'm locked in with my headphones on, my mind starts to wander and it gives me some really good ideas (and some wild ones, but those are fun too from a creative standpoint)

4) What is something you want to share about what you’ve written this year? A particular line, a comment that made you feel really good, a scene that was difficult to write — you get to choose! What do you wish someone would ask you about when it comes to what you’ve written?

god, i don't know. i've gotten a lot of really wonderful comments this year, too many to pick just one.

a scene that was difficult to write would probably be all of chapter four of orange juice, that fic overall is hard to write (but i still want to finish it someday)

but i write more fluff than anything so i also wanted to add a scene that was really fun to write, and that was writing mickey high as fuck in i need you (like cake on my birthday)

and to start off 2024…

1) Do you have any writing/creation goals for the year? What are they?

my goal for the year is to write two (2) complete multi-chapter fics. i mostly exist in the oneshot world in the shameless fandom, but i miss plotting big long fics and i really want to try and stick with at least two this year.

2) Is there a fic or idea that you’re really excited to be able to continue to work on in the new year (shout out to my fellow fic writing folks who take forever to finish wips, sometimes it’s nice to be able to continue working on something even if you wish you’d gotten it done! Now you get even MORE time with it!)

i think rock star mickey au is the idea that i most want to see come to life in 2024. i've been plotting it in my head since like july and one day i want to be confident enough to actually write the vision that plays on a loop in my subconscious.

3) What’s something new in your writing you want to try/are going to try? A different writing style? Different fandom? Darker works? Fluffier? Longer or shorter?

god, i mean, i guess i want to try writing more smut? i don't write a lot of it rarely any ever but i want to put a little bit in my big bang fic, and maybe some in some other fic ideas i have too. so yeah. maybe i'll try more of that in 2024 idk don't quote me on it.

4) What’s something you love about your own writing that you will continue to appreciate in the new year?

honestly i really like the way i write dialogue. it sounds very natural to me, idk if anyone else agrees, but when i re-read some of my fics i'm just like yeah exactly he would say that

1) I totally get forgetting to answer asks. I reblog those ask game posts all the damn time and only answer asks I get for them like. 10% of the time.

2) re: riyira crossovers I've literally been microwaving a leverage/riyira fic in my head for ages. it would be so good! Royce having to team up with Parker cause they're both thief archetypes and isn't that hilarious to ponder. he would hate it so much. "someone will die."/"of fun!" And Hadrian and Elliot with their similar backstories. They've definitely heard of each other through the murder grapevine. I can think of (I'm sorry I think this is gonna be a ramble) two ways this can go. Either they lock eyes for the first time and are immediately like

OR while they've heard of each other, they don't identify each other at first. They keep picking up on little hints and clues (Hadrian definitely has something "very distinctive" about him, unless the distinctive thing about him is that he isn't distinctive. He's fought so many places he doesn't have one particular style) until the climax of the episode they put it together and go

maybe they've even fought each other in the past!!!! that would be so juicy. but in the episode they punch some guys together and then drink beer while talking about guilt

In the episode wrap up Hadrian starts going in about how, "you mean to tell me the two of us have been doing the work of five people all this time?" and "what are we doing? let's hire some more people to riyira, take some of the pressure off." And Royce immediately shuts it down. Royce definitely gets a mini therapy session from either Nate or Hardison at some point. Hadrian has to pretend to be Sophie's sugar baby unexpectedly during a grift. Idk where that idea came from but there it is.

Another crossover I've thought of is early-days Vessar twins/Riyira. Like, imagine the black diamond and the clasp (which vax was part of) were rival gangs and Royce and Vax were old rivals or something, and now he and Hadrian have to help Vex and Vax out with a Thing (or vice versa). Vax and Royce definitely have an unspoken stealth/parkour contest going on and at one point, Vex starts flirting with Gwen which makes Royce Feel Things (the feeling is a mix of jealousy and yearning but he's never experienced it) Hadrian gets really into scritching trinket's ears and is openly in awe of vex's archery skills.

Wow, okay. That was much longer than anticipated. Yikes. Okay.

Royce being absolutely against recruiting more people, but mostly because, as he said in Winter's Daughter, he'd have to change Riyria's name.

Hadrian and Eliot are so similar. But like, what if Hadrian only knew Eliot by his last name, and doesn't put it together, and Eliot only knows about the Tiger of Mandalin, so they take a while to recognise one another, and then Hadrian does, idk, something with three knives or something, and then Eliot's like 'hmm, very distinctive', and initially Eliot doesn't like him and by the end they are besties and it scares Hardison cuz now there's two of them?!

And Hadrian would go all out helping Sophie with a grift. He's really bad at lying but good at naturally getting people to like him, so it has mixed results.

Oh yes, you've hit on hell of an idea here, mon ami.

And Vex and Vax too! I'm still slowly making my way through critical roll so I don't know too much about them, but the competition between Vax and Royce would be so good, especially the rival gangs idea, and they're so engrossed in trying to one-up each other while Hadrian and Vex are just being archery nerds and Trinket is loving New Friend Hadrian who gives very good hugs.

I never used to be that much of a fan of cross-overs, I am very fond of sticking to canon, but you are quickly converting me with all these Riyria cross-overs, this is fertile ground for some very fun fics, so thank you!!!

Hi! I'm sorry you're still not feeling well. It seems like it really sucks I hope you were still able to have a good and fun weekend with your friend though! I hope the new medication helped as well but from your latest update, it seems like it didn't. Aww I really hope you feel better before your birthday and the holidays coming up. I've never had black forest cake I don't think..or is that the one with cherry filling in the middle? If it is, then I have and I think it's yummy too. I do love Oreo cake, vanilla, and just plain chocolate or double chocolate. But I have a lot of favorite desserts too..but it's mostly brownies and cookies. I like chocolate chip and double chocolate and ice cream but I don't love it when it's cold. I've never had tiramisu I don't think though.

I want need to be released too but mostly just cuz all of the girls was already released so I hope it is and it is like False God. I think cuz it sounds so different from any Taylor song to me. When I first heard it, I think it sounded more like a Selena Gomez song..maybe in the verses more than Taylor..but I do love how Taylor shows her vocals in the song and I do know other people love it a lot. The only thing about that is then it would be technically the last rerecording to be released and idk if it should end with that but I do see how it kinda works. Unless she puts out an eras rerecording doc or something as a thank you for the tour, then it would be the next best thing. I do still like to play it around Christmas sometimes. She also has a show on her birthday next year so that's exciting enough too.

Haha wow. I actually listen to something new like everyday so I could never get burnt out on new music haha. Basically my sister has a long drive everyday so we pick a new album to listen to everyday and kinda have a theme for each week based on genres. That's how I discover so much new music and we add a few songs to a big hours long playlist all year and play it near the end of the year haha and then we will pick our favorites. Obviously if it's an artist I really like, I play their albums for at least a week. I also play a lot of recommended radio so that's how I find new artists too. So what's your top artists and songs for Spotify wrapped since it came out? I think there's an equivalent with apple music if you use that. But I'm so excited to know and I will add anything you recommend to my list. I wasn't really surprised..obviously Taylor was my top artist lol but I feel like it also matters how long an album is and for top songs it's how much a certain song will play on your recommended radio and if you let it play. Oh I forgot about those but will listen eventually of course..along with the fruitcake EP soon.

As for books, I'll have to work on my list and I can tell you what I'll be reading more specifically later. Sorry it's just not something I'm focused on right now but I did find a few more books to add to my list recently so idk and I'm always looking for new recommendations too so I'll look at your post whenever its updated. Oh that's so cool and exciting. I've recently getting more educated on the publishing world which sounds exhausting so that's actually pretty cool. I honestly haven't read Hunger Games in a long time but that sounds like a pretty good plan if you get to it.

Oh I like her music but I'm not sure she would fit as Eurydice..cuz her voice is too soft almost? Thanks for the link! I will go thru it later and give my full opinion. Oh I mentioned a doc about the rerecordings earlier but would absolutely love this too! Beyonce had a little bit of this in her movie which I thought was really cool and made it different than eras. She would talk for a few minutes about something that would kinda lead into the next song so the transitions were pretty smooth and didn't distract from the show. Also it's always very cool to see her talking and share stuff from her personal life which we don't get to see as much. I'm pretty sure she didn't cut anything either which was impressive! I couldn't help comparing it to Eras but more so in a fun way cuz I love both of them and you can really see how much artistry and care they put in the work and that's a really cool thing to see. Taylor also supported Beyonce at her premiere just like how Beyonce did for her and I loved her dress so much..it was really on theme haha. I also paid attention to the sets and it's something I have to pay more attention to in the eras movie again. Another cool thing Beyonce's movie did was show all the different outfits she would wear for a certain song and I kinda wish eras movie did that now lol. Also Beyonce showed all her special guest performances in her movie too. It was kinda cool cuz it was almost set up in eras too but in a different way I guess cuz it wasn't by era..but she did start from the beginning of her career and mixed in a few songs. Also her opening songs started out slower in the show but I think that's pretty typical of Beyonce..like she gets more energetic as the show goes on. She also did not sing a song from every album..there was nothing from Lemonade but that's also a personal album for her or maybe didn't fit this show. But she sang every song from Renaissance and somehow made them work in the order of the album...and she even included the performance of songs she only sang at a few shows. I think seeing it was fun too cuz I didn't know the full show as well as eras even if I saw a few clips online and having it professionally recorded helps a lot too. Even if you don't love her music, it's definitely worth a watch at some point.

I do think it was cool of her to sing it for the end of the year and cuz there's a bit of a break on tour and I agree with how it makes her feel. I just think the chorus could be better cuz she repeats the same lyrics or used thing more than once and I don't love the melody but some people love it. Its just there to me and some songs are just like that I guess. I feel similarly about Illicit Affairs but I like it on tour and maybe even Off the top of my head, the first two opening nights had the best songs! Aside from seeing the Renaissance movie, I also got a haircut after a long time which was nice. I will probably also be busy for the next few weeks just letting you know. hi friend!! it was one of the best weekends ever, i think — just something that i very much needed + very good for my soul, but i am very tired and just quite sad now! long distance friendships are so so hard :( i've mostly been feeling a bit better aside from my voice which just does not want to return to me for some reason!! but that's okay — the good news, is that it gives me an excuse to not be super super social at the work party on wednesday (which i'm lowkey dreading haha).

and yes! black forest cake is the one with cherry in the middle — i don't really like cherry, but i do loveeee black forest cake for some reason! i am not a huge fan of super sweet sweets (and often, brownies are too sweet for my taste) but one of my friends has been talking to me about brownies all week and now i really really want one. i think i'm going to try to get one on wednesday when i go to my work party as a pre-party treat, actually! tiramisu is delicious — if you like coffee (i don't know if you do, actually — i don't think we've talked about coffee! do you like coffee? what's your coffee order?) which i do!

i would love love love more BTS for eras and the rerecordings! i just think all of that is so interesting, i want to know about the costumes + the thought behind the dive, the choreography, why the piano is painted with those flowers, why debut was cut from the setlist :(, whose idea it was for those very specific visuals, etc. i just want to know everything!

there is an apple music equivalent — it's called apple replay! my top 5 artists were: the 1975, taylor, holly humberstone, maisie, and sabrina carpenter — but replay also gives you your top 15, so here are the rest of them: inhaler, gracie abrams, the japanese house, noah kahan, beabadoobee, del water gap, olivia rodrigo, lizzy mcalpine, haim and charli xcx! and my most listened to songs are: oh caroline, happiness, if you're too shy (let me know), lost the breakup, body better, me & you together song, you're just a boy (and i'm kinda the man), the good witch, about you, i'm in love with you, pressure, menswear, scarlett, heart out and the sound! which is so funny because i don't even remember listening to a good half of these that much (probably in the first half of the year). my most listened to albums were: the good witch, emails i can't send fwd, notes on a conditional form, the good witch (deluxe), speak now (taylor's version), paint my bedroom black, reputation, barbie the album, the 1975 (deluxe), guts, cuts & bruises, i like it when you sleep, for you are so beautiful yet so unaware of it, good riddance, in the end it always does and midnights (3 am edition)!

and you don't need to apologize — just know i'm excited for your favorites when you have them! i will try to figure out my list as well! and ahhh, the renaissance film sounds so so good! i'm excited to watch it when i get a chance to 🤍

and yeah, i have a really hard time picturing her as eurydice! but i think she'd be a great girl in once, if she ever did that!

tied together with a smile was my favoriteeeee. it just means so much to me as a song, and i'm so so glad i got to hear it! honestly i really lucked out with my songs — and i think everyone that i went with was really happy (my friend bailey loves ttwas too, my friend mansi got a reputation song night 1 — this is why we can't have nice things, etc.)! just very special! very lovely evening. i'd loveeee to hear mirrorball, or anything debut though. i'm really just manifesting something from debut for my mom :")

SAGE 2023 Postin'

Yay!! SAGE 2023 has started! Last year I didn't make the time to play much of anything despite having a year to do it lmao, and that really bummed me out so I really wanted to get ahead of the curve and go ahead and play some stuff! Idk how much I'll play from this year's showing cause there's a LOT of great stuff! But I'll make however many posts it takes. Here's what I played tonight that I think YOU should check out!!

Dotty Game - by Wootinaboot

A game from a friend of mine! This is a SUPER cute Megaman like where you play as an ADORABLE little bug and blast mushrooms! This demo is really neat cause it's actually a gameboy file that I had to play through emulator! Although, you can just play it in browser on their itch so that's nice too! Controls are tight, sprites are great, music is REALLY nice and I was surprised by how challenging it could get with some of the bosses. There's also a LOT of hidden stuff to find so be sure to play it all the way through! You do NOT want to miss the special surprise let me tell you!

The Wingless Bee - by Ryansil

Another game from a friend and famously, the creator of Pac-Man as you all know. This game I was not expecting at all, it's actually very similar to Frogger! Though it is kind of gloomy and sad. But it's cool and the demo really shows some neat stuff like perspective changes and boss fights. It's simple but I genuinely had an out loud "AHA!" moment when I figured out how to fight the boss. Cool stuff!

Sonic McOrigins Plus - by Difgue

FINALLY, GAMING IS GOOD AGAIN! I have SO MUCH nostalgia for these old Sonic McDonald's toys! I tried to collect all of them but obviously couldn't (I didn't even realize there were SO many!) But I can relive wonderful memories of Shadow Grinding, Shadow vs Omega Hockey, AiAi Banana Catcher, Amy and Rouge Tennis ect ect. I knew there were efforts to archive these types of game & watch styled games but I hadn't really tried any before myself. This feels great and even works great on my dinky phone!

F-ZERO POCKET - by Linky493

This was such a neat one! F-ZERO on Gameboy Color! It has a TON of characters and tracks, I was actually seriously shocked by how much was in here. It's a little difficult to play though but weirdly enough I feel like that's authentic to how a GBC F-ZERO would be. If you're a fan you gotta check it out the novelty of this one alone is so good!

Toree Saturn - by Siactro

Probably the least surprising thing I've ever said by this point: I love Toree! I've played the whole series and I think at this point I've S ranked every stage in the series??? Maybe? It's been a bit since I looked. So of course I had to try Toree Saturn! I hadn't seen gameplay prior to playing this so I figured it was just gonna be another level pack. But to my delight, no! It's actually a Toree Sequel! A brand new game! New models, new moves and mechanics! Now I am BEYOND excited for this game! I still have to play Kiwi 64 but it looks amazing and Siactro hasn't missed once yet. This was a lovely surprise!

Dono's Tale - by Super Item Studios

WOW! WOW WOW WOW! This one absolutely blew me away! I've had my eye on this game for a bit (I'm so sorry I missed the kickstarter, y'all, I WISH I HAD MORE MONEY I'D FUND SO MANY INDIE GAMES!) But I finally got to try it with this demo and just WOW! This game is SO good! Absolutely GORGEOUS artwork that looks so authentically SNES it's amazing. Super cute music and designs, this was an absolute treat! My favorite powers were fire + wings! I wish you had more use for the other powers, though I do assume a full game will have levels soley based around each of Dono's abilities. This game rules!

Bub's Big Blowout - by Miles' Games

DUDE THIS GAME LOOKS REAL!? FAN GAMES JUST STRAIGHT UP LOOK LIKE OFFICIAL GAMES NOWADAYS THIS IS NUTS!! Bub's Big Blowout is a 3D Platformer translation of Bubble Bobble and honestly, it rules! I genuinely think Taito should give them the resources they need to make this a real game cause this is SO high quality and it's just the demo! I don't even think the game is done. This seriously looks and feels amazing! Only issue is I couldn't get my controller to work with it, but if it did I think this would feel almost 100% official

Sonic Battle Rush - by FreeGilio

A 2D Sonic Fighter? Using Sonic Battle Sprites? And Shadow has a Mephiles alt? YES YES YES!! A 2D Sonic Fighting Game is basically one of my dream games, but surprisingly I haven't tried any of the dozen fan attempts at the concept... Until today! This demo only features Sonic and Shadow and 3 stages, but it absolutely RULES! Both characters feel fantastic and unique and have fully fleshed out movesets! I was even able to string together some goofy little combos by myself and overall it felt super satisfying to play. Also there's a ton of modes and even ways to loadout your characters such as having 2 at once or taking turns. So the demo has lots to do! I'll absolutely be keeping up with this game going forward!

Today I just played some stuff that caught my eye from the SAGE 2023 trailer but I will try to play some more stuff as the year goes along! There's so many amazing indie games it's genuinely hard to keep up with all of them. But SAGE is seriously becoming my favorite place to just discover new stuff or finally get to try things I'm excited for! Again I'm bummed it just kinda slipped my mind to try anything from last year but already we're not repeating that mistake. I encourage you to go try some stuff too if you have the time! Or at least just take a look at what's available! Everyone put in a LOT of hard work on these games!

My boyfriend made me feel like shit and I don't have anywhere to post it so

He really loves the idea of streaming. He would love for us to stream and become popular enough to do it full time for a living. Obviously not an easy task. EVEYONE was to be a streamer now a days. Which is awesome! My boyfriend def had the personally for it. He's goofy, funny, has a nice voice so even when he didn't have a face came people came cause of his commentary. He's got like 27 followers. Nothing crazy but I'm proud of him.

And while he's an extrovert im the exact opposite. I don't like to go out, I don't like to talk to strangers on the mic I hate people even looking at me in public sometimes. I have anxiety and an pretty self isolating. And I know its not a healthy thing but idk I just have a real hard time making and keep friends and stuff. He really wants me to stream too. And I see people online and the interactions and meeting new people would he awesome. I would've actual friends. He says because I'm a girl I'll have tons of people wanna follow me and I told him its not that easy. (Like yes there are people who make it all about their appearance and show themselves off but I'm not like that AT ALL)

Today i told him I don't think I have much to offer and he was like 'thats some self pity bullshit you need to stop.' And said if I have nothing to offer why was he there with me. And that if I'm not doing anything with myself or being a leader im just a sheep.

Because I have a full time corporate job that I hate. Wtf? Obviously I would rather be doing literally anything else then working a boring corporate job but we have bills to pay. The world is literally shit right now. We don't even have a car and we're saving money for one but me streaming isn't gonna fucking save us. Like maybe after years we can make some money. But its not gonna be instantaneous.

And I just don't think I'm crazy funny or entertaining to stream. I play one game and im not even that good. And we have a shit Webcam that makes me look fat and is horribly angled cause I have to stack it on books and game cases. Like no im not very confident but he didn't have to be a dick about it. He just doesn't understand anxiety or anything similar. He's one of those people who think you can just turn it off. I FUCKING WISH. Life would he so much easier.

Idk theres just better ways he could have gone with the conversation but he basically told me to stop being a downer and nothing was going to have with that attitude and I understand that he's right but there are better ways to comfort your s.o instead of give them a fucking lecture and tell them to stop with the self pity.

Lol wow I feel great! So motivated! All I have to do is turn off my anxious and insecurities and I'm set! Its so easy!

Comforting them when they're upset pt. 1 ༘ *

Dream

This man overworks himself too much

Like when he starts doing something he HAS to get it done as soon as possible or it'll bother him for the rest of the day

I mean, he literally played Crab Game for a whole day-

And because of this, he gets frustrated and tired very easily

So, after everything is done and he is satisfied with what he was doing, he'll run to you

Without saying a word he'll throw himself on you and stay there for the rest of the day

You can't really do much when he is working, cause that'll just frustrate him more, so you do your best and more whenever he is done

You two cuddle, watch movies or just even talk so that he can rest a little

You'll even cook, or if you can't, try, for him

And you make sure that your little helper Patches keeps Dream company while you're away

"You need to stop overworking yourself"

"But you take good care of me"

"That's not an excuse-"

I don't think he gets upset much

So in rare times that he does it becomes your number one goal to help him feel better

He's not gonna tell you he's upset but you've known him long enough and know when something is bothering him

You'll start doing little things for him, just to try and bring his mood up a bit

Even simple things like filling up his water bottle while he's streaming

After a while he'll flash you a small smile or just a signal to tell you that he's ok, and a little thank you for everything you've done

And not only is your goal accomplished but he'll be stuck to you for the rest of the day as a thank you

"How do you deal with me?"

"I don't know, ask your parents"

"WOW ok"

I feel like when he's upset he gets a bit angry

He'll need a few minutes to calm down before going to you

Unlike Dream though he doesn't jump on you, especially if you're in the middle of doing something, he would just stare at you and hope you notice him

You just catch a glimpse of someone near your door, only to find your very adorable boyfriend staring at you with this upset look on his face

Now we don't want that, do we?

So you'll invite him to your room, make him sit down and tell you everything he needed if he wanted to

And, in case he doesn't want to talk, you'll try to distract him, maybe go skating or watch some anime

After he feels better he'll shower you in kisses and sorry's, to which you shut him up cause you never want to see him upset

"But you were cleaning-"

"Doesn't matter, we could be on fire and I'd still help you first"

"Ok let's not go that far-"

Badboyhalo

I just want to say that if I EVER see Bad upset I will kill everybody and then myself :)

ANYWAY, I feel like he cries whenever he's really upset

And you are quickly by his side, no questions asked

You could be on the other side of the world and you'll feel like something's wrong

Ok...maybe too far, but you get the idea

You two will just sit there, you drying his tears as he hiccups his way through explaining why he's upset

Of course Rat comes to the rescue and you two make Bad happy again

And you'll throw some jokes here and there cause why not

"No more tears, or I'll eat them"

"What?"

Wilbur Soot

He gets quiet, like abnormally quiet

Tries to act like nothing happened by going on with his day

But obviously you know him better then that

You can't force it out of him, so you wait for him to make the first move

I feel like he'll get his frustration out through playing with his guitar, just to let some steam out

And once he's done he'll tell you everything

You'll let him talk, giving your input if needed

He'll feel better after talking to you

Maybe even thank you with a little song

"You know you're scary when you get quite"

"Then buckle up cause I'm about to sing your ears of love"

Eret

Eret's another one I feel like doesn't get upset very much, and if they do they don't show it

So for them to come to you means something big must've happen

But they'd talk about it like nothing happened

Just nonchalantly tells you everything while you look at them like "why are you so calm about this?!"

At this point you are ready to take matters into your own hands while Eret is just over it

"So you're telling me they did all this and you're just ok with it?!"

"I mean it doesn't really matter, they're not important"

"YEAH BUT-"

Punz

Another angry boy

He need his space first, then he'll come to you

No matter what you're doing, just picks you up and cuddles you for the rest of the day

Maybe after a few hours he'll tell you what happen and nuzzle into your touch to stay calm

And then you spend time by playing video games and being teased by him cause 'you suck'

Oh but when you win, it's cheating lol

"I want a rematch, you cheated."

"HOW?! It's your console."

"Your point?"

C!Techno

With everything he does, between wars and farming, I'm not surprised he gets upset quiet frequently

And just like wilbur, he gets quiet and he'll isolate himself

He'll come home, drop his things, and hide in his room for hours

You can't really do much here, you know that Techno needs his space

And because it happens quiet often, it has become like a little routine for you

Whenever he gets upset and closes himself in his room you'll leave him food and drinks at his door, knocking on it to let him know it's there

After dinner you'll sit by his room, waiting patiently for him to come out

Knowing that you always do this, the piglin hybrid will let you in

Sometimes he tells you what happened sometimes he doesn't

But he'll always take the time to tell you how grateful he is for everything you do for him

"The food was good by the way"

"The blood god himself just complimented my food, has the time for raining pigs come?"

"Shut up nerd"
